Tom Nye was great to deal with. You get to see the car prices and you're allowed to shop without a salesman. When it's time to test drive, no hassle. You go by yourself. When it's time to buy, you get to see the mark up. We left with the feeling we got a good deal. We will look there first next time.

Affordable prices, clear facility, friendly employees. Thomas Nye was my POC via email. He made it a smooth, and stress free deal. Hassel free and straight to the point. I told him I was on a time crunch, since I was on my 1 hour lunch break to make this deal happen, and he made the process happen in less than 1 hour. Thank you so much Thomas.

Yes, this is our 2nd review this week. After buying a car from Tom Nye at Affordable, we went shopping all over Anchorage for a used truck and, again, found ourselves up to our necks in piranha-like salesmen and tactics. Like we hadn't just gone through that before we met Tom... Anyway, we headed back to Affordable and browsed the lot, test drove and liked a used Ford F250 diesel truck. Tom took care of everything, including some small mechanical issues we discovered on the test drive. He also arranged financing through our credit and set up our warranty. Buying our vehicles from Affordable was easy, free from hassles, and we met a new friend. I haven't got a clue how much Tom Nye earns on his job, but Affordable should know that he is worth every penny and MORE.

We shopped all over Anchorage for a vehicle. By far, Affordable was the best experience. There was no hassle - period. When we saw something we liked, we asked and were given keys to test drive as much as we needed to evaluate the vehicle. Again, no hassle, no hard sell, and they were willing to negotiate reasonably. Tom Nye was very friendly, extremely helpful, and processed all the paperwork with a quickness. We would, and will, recommend Affordable to others who are looking for pre-owned vehicles.

I live in a remote Alaskan village. I bought a truck from Affordable and found the experience to be very satisfying and the dealer to be cooperative. they understand what the logistics of living in remote areas are like and made accommodations to take my truck to the barge for delivery two months after the sale. Understanding the needs of the customers in this part of the world sets them apart from everyone else. The vehicle selections on the lot and the varying choices made my choice easy- they had what I was looking for at a price that was competitive. I would highly recommend Affordable for the next choice

The sales people here will leave you alone until you know what you want to ask about. And after that they will let you check out the car and take it for a test drive alone! I haven't experienced that with any other dealer in the state. They won't come down on the prices much but they price fairly. Thomas was great to work with!

My first car I purchased with my parents was several years ago at Affordable Used Cars in Anchorage. An accident claimed that car, so I returned to the market to shop for used cars. Affordable was not the only place I looked, but it offered two cars I liked. They were both Toyota, same model, color and from the outside, no different except the price. The 2013 was outside my budget so I selected (just about 3 weeks ago) the 2012 used car. My salesmen was Tom Nye. My parents had been buying cars from him at Affordable over the years and told me that when I go there, he is the only person to ask for. Tom is an easy going, friendly person and worked out a great deal for 2012 Toyota used car that I liked. I returned later that week to pick up the car, took it home, and discovered that Affordable (not Tom) had mistakenly given me the higher priced 2013 Toyota vs the 2012 that I bought. Tom Nye was key in working out this mistake and in the end, honored the price for the 2012 used car, and let me keep the 2013 used car which was delivered. Thank you Tom.

Salesmen is Tom Nye. He is a great person to work with. Straight, honest, works hard to find the best car for you that meets your needs and is available at Affordable. My most recent purchase (a month ago) from him was the third used car for my family. I have been buying cars from him not only from Affordable Used Cars but also Nye Ford when it operated in Wasilla. If you want to buy a car from Affordable, see Tom Nye.. Regarding Affordable Used cars facility in Anchorage, the facilities only got three stars for its lot where the used cars are displayed. Can be really tough to transverse this lot in the winter time. The building where the salespeople are located is quite nice, the people are friendly, and there is free, fresh coffee on.

Tom Nye worked with me during this great car trade-in experience. He kept quick communication with me via email (per my preference) the entire time. He was in communication with my bank. When I drove up from Soldotna that morning he had the vehicle warmed up and ready for me to test drive once I arrived. The vehicle was in good condition with a couple minor repairs that I was reimbursed for. Tom had the paperwork all set up for me to purchase my new vehicle, trade in my old vehicle, sign for the bank, and register with the DMV. The entire experience was very low stress and pleasurable! I have already recommended Affordable Used Cars to friends and will continue to do business with them in the future.

I have purchased several vehicles from Affordable Used Cars and will be going in to buy another one soon. The best thing about going to their dealership is the fact that they don't push you into buying anything and they dont follow you around while trying to look at vehicles. However when you need them they are there to answer any questions you may have. I have purchased alot of vehicles in my time and I know how horrible it can be to go to a dealership but if you want one that is straight forward and willing to help you find the best vehicle to suit your needs or a good trade in on your vehicle I would highly recommend you go to Affordable Used Cars.

Affordable Used Cars has a nice website and they have the prices plus mileage on each vehicle. I got the car I wanted at a good price. The salesman didn't always return my email or send the info I requested. The young men who assisted on the lot did more work than the salesman did.

Just a phone call away. Saw a vehicle and did it over the phone, flew up and a quick test drive. Paperwork already mostly done by the time I got back from the test drive. Took it home. Found medium repair needed and they stood behind it even though I signed "as-is". Great follow up.

I bought a car from Affordable Used Cars over the weekend (2/17/13). I was greeted shortly after entering the dealership and was helped immediately by a salesman. Matt Rye was the salesman that helped me and was prompt and helpful but truly was a no pressure salesman! I was given keys to test drive the cars of my choosing with no pressure. The cars I drove were clean and in good shape. I liked the car I ended up buying in the end but was unsure of making the buying plunge at the time so I told the salesman I wanted to look around and perhaps come back. I met no pressure in this decision and was told by the salesman that he would be available should I decide I wanted to purchase. I drove around to a couple other car lots and met sales-vultures at both lots I drove onto. I didn't even want to look at the inventory because of this greeting. I quickly returned to affordable used cars and spoke with Matt about concerns and financing options. The process never felt rushed, pressured or sketchy. Matt was personable and good at his job. The entire process was very pleasant and I feel like I got an excellent deal on my trade in as well as the car I purchased. I highly recommend Affordable Used Cars in Anchorage!

I hate typical car salesman, but Phil Gill is no mere mortal. After cruising the affordable lot I found a truck I was interested in. I went inside the building, where I met Phil Gill, and told him what vehicle I was interested in. Literally less than a minute later, Phil Gill handed me the keys, no sales pitch, no pressure, just a friendly smile and I was off on my own for the test drive. After the solo test drive, I come back, tell him I am interested in the truck (they had the lowest price in town) and he did all the financing paperwork right there. The entire Affordable experience is wonderful and very friendly. It is refreshing to drive/walk thru a car lot and not be hassled or hounded by greedy salesmen. If you find a vehicle you are interested in, go inside and ask Phil to give you the keys. Best price in town, best service and like the title says Phil Gill is the man.

I knew what I wanted before I walked on the lot. TOM NYE approached me - he knew that I was not your typical buyer. He did not pressure me, he answered every question, and his quiet demeanor permitted me to want to test drive the car of my choice and again for the next following 4 days after. He offered the extended warranty which my research on the car is confirmation to myself to NOT purchase it. So on the 5th day, I took the car on another test drive and never took it back. Instead I drove it to the bank. I could of bought a brand new car, but who wants the high prices and the value depreciation decreases as you drive off the lot - no one is buying brand new cars these days. This was the MOST fun I've had purchasing a used car and I'm glad the experience was with Affordable Cars. To all those sophisticated buyers, go see Tom Nye at Affordable Cars. It was like he knew what to say and what the vehicle can do for you. He hit every comment right on pertaining to personal needs for the vehicle. Great sales guy!

Unless you are just looking to test drive a few vehicles to find what type you want, do not go there. Prices are too high for used vehicles. They do not negotiate. For the amount they want for a warranty you might as well buy new. The car I was willing to negotiate has been sitting in their lot for two years you'd think they'd want to make a sale. Couldn't even tell me how often other people had looked at it and why they eventually declined. Close lipped and non-negotiable. lame

i was looking to buy a truck and trade my dodge charger. because my car was Rear wheel drive, the sales guy didn't want anything to do with it, but his attitude made me feel as if my car was worth nothing! thanks for nothing, i am not going to mind continuing driving a dodge charger with great gas millage. your loss
