Being the only dealership in the state has given them the attitude you need use more than we need you. Unfriendly staff at service dept. Seems every visit over a three year period was in some way less than good.

Surprised to see negative reviews about this dealership. I recently purchased my first Volvo from Frank and could not be happier. The car is 2 years old and I have all the proper documentation about the warranty, etc. The negotiations were very pleasant, no pressure in any way on purchasing or financing. Really went above and beyond to get me the exact vehicle I wanted with the options I wanted. Makes me wonder if some of the reviews on here are from other dealerships.

Service is something you will need on your Volvo, maybe because they are the one dealership in the state they have a take it of leave it attitude. Try the independent near the airport.

One visit or one experience should not be the main evaluating criteria. I have done business with Almartin since 1980: have bought some some 5 or 6 cars. Have regular service done by them. My experience with them has always been very good. Their service dept. is genuinely busy and by and large they endeavor to do a good job. Lately they have hired a youngish service guy who is less than ideal, less helpful and brash, I try to avoid him. As a result of my car buying and service experience I am very leery to go any other dealer.

To follow up, the manager told me that they would try to "work something out" for me service-wise since I was so disappointed with the sales experience I had. The ambient temperature sensor wasn't working properly, so I took it in. Naturally they replaced $500 in wiring instead of changing the actual ambient temperature gauge (a $95 job..which I later had done at sears) ...when I asked almartin why they did this instead and if I could get my money back because they clearly pulled one over on me, they said they would "work something out" for me..when I asked what that meant, they had no answer. Do NOT go here unless you want to be swindled out of thousands after all is said and done.

There's no doubt they have an experienced & somewhat knowledgeable sales team in the front of the house - but forget about the back of the house. We're a household with two Volvo's & we've experienced the same, horrendous service, lack of attention to detail, and issues related to basic preventative maintenance on both vehicles. Your arrival in the service dept speaks for itself - as no one even looks at you. With 4 people behind the counter & no customers, they're all too busy to look up & offer help. "Regular maintenance" to them is equivalent to an expensive oil change vs any effort towards preventive maintenance. I've had to replace tires with just under 16,000 miles that were allegedly rotated at the dealer - yet the warranty on the tires is void since it was apparent they were never rotated, balanced, or aligned. Our second vehicle, although a little higher on the tire mileage, had the same exact issue. Seems like an expensive coincidence. I overheard a conversation of one of the service reps stating he had no loyalty to a brand of car, but has been happy with his Toyota. Thanks for confirming. I have no loyalty to this brand of car either... and certainly NOT this dealer.

Extremely disappointed. Not only did we pay an extra $1000 for an "all-inclusive" warranty package (which didn't cover ANY of the issues that I had with my car during the time I had it, but they fooled us into thinking it was a six year warranty when it was really only a little over a year because it started when they acquired the vehicle, not when we purchased it. You would think that would be good for them to tell us. Secondly, We were told there was an AUX jack in the car to connect iPod, etc. There isn't. There isn't even a tape deck to play the iPod through there, so now were paying a few hundred to get a new stereo installed.

I plan on buying a Volvo, especially since I have been in 2 car accidents in one year. The sales agents and staff were wonderful..can't wait to do business with them.

I feel like the guy who was told it was under warranty but had to pay in the end.My experience started small (a stuck transmision stick) and was told to flush the transmission fluid.After 4 hours my car was ready and I drove two miles till transmision went.They got me a rental and would look at it tommorow.I was told the following day I should have never flushed the tranny fluid and that I would need a new transmision.After reading my owners manual and recieving a letter from Volvo USAthis model's tranny can be flushed on a regular bases but the guy's at Al Martindon't want to admit a mistake on there part.I personally spoke with the owner at his vacation home and he promised me he'd look into it and call me tommorow(we'll I'm still waiting)and as far as the rental AlMartin didn't pay for that either.Oh yeah I forgot to mention my family bought 3 vehickles from them so much for loyalty!This group of people is one group you don't want to do business with and now that the Chinese are building there cars just give it time the can't make sheetrock never mind a Volvo.

I bought my first car(S80 T6) from Almartin, it was a great experience. It was a while ago, but I still remember Frank as being the most honest and helpful salesmen to date. I have since sold that car and upgraded to an S60 R, but I still buy many parts from them, and occasionally get it serviced with them for things I can not do myself. Their service rate is better than almost anywhere else, and they are very nice.
