Shane was very helpful from the beginning. I felt like I was getting quality service from someone who actually had my best interest in mind. Shane even followed up with me after the sale to see how I was liking my new vehicle. I would recommend him to a friend!

I had an excellent experience at AmesCars.com. Shane, the salesman, was extremely personable and helpful, even giving me rides across town when needed. The car, a Subaru Impreza WRX was priced well and they were ready and willing to work within my budget. I feel very comfortable about looking to them for my next auto purchase and will recommend them in the future. They shoot it straight, and have a nice selection. Well done.

Shane was great! I'm always wary of car salesmen but Shane was very upfront and transparent I didn't feel like I was being sold. He helped me find the right vehicle for us and let me buy without him selling. I really appreciated his approach.

Shane was great from the initial point of contact and all throughout the purchase process. I was not familiar whatsoever with Ames Cars since I live in Wyoming but after the first couple conversations with Shane I felt completely at ease with the possibility of driving 11 hours to buy a vehicle. I had been obsessively searching all over the country for the exact Cadillac CTS that I wanted when I came across one at Ames Cars. After contacting Shane and explaining the distance I would potentially be travelling he made it a point to explain as well as send additional pictures of anything that could have been perceived as an issue. After coming to a verbal agreement over the phone and placing a deposit I traveled to Ames to happily see the car that was portrayed to me without any misrepresentation. The CTS was on my trailer and on it's way home to Wyoming in no time and is currently in the process of receiving several aftermarket upgrades. The only true disappointment in this entire experience was not getting to meet Shane in person as he had a previously planned vacation that he was attending upon my arrival to Ames but he made it a point to contact me once he returned to make sure everything had gone smoothly while he was away. Thanks to Shane as well as everyone else at Ames Cars that I had the privilege to work with!

First to say, I bought a very nice used car-- TOYOTA yairs 2010. It looks new and clean, the car surface and inside don't have any scratch or something. And I feel good when drive it. This car is recommend by Shane. I also do a lot research online. The price is very fair. Like 1000 lower than most I search online from other websites. Second, the Ames Cars is a good company. It provides standard service to process the title and license plate to me. Finally, the great Shane is very kind. He helps me all the process of buying a car. Like get title, license plate, buy car insurance and even pass drive license test. Yes, he did teach me drive and told me the rules on the road. This helped me get used to drive very quick. I'm satisfied with Shane and Ames Cars.

I have purchased multiple cars from Ames Cars. Their vehicle inventory is diverse and perfectly caters to the needs of the diverse socioeconomics and demographics of Ames and beyond. In fact, Charles and Buddy have even worked with me to locate and stock particular vehicle makes/models of interest. For this particular purchase, Ames Cars happened to have a vehicle model that I've had my eye on for a few years. Shane Dunphy let me test drive the vehicle while I happened to be in Ames on business, after which I had to leave town. He followed up and helped me through the process of having the vehicle checked over by a mechanic, and fielded at least 50 questions that I had before deciding to make the purchase. He provided top-notch customer service with patient, rapid responses to my questions. When the day came for me to pick up my new(used) car, Shane had all of the paperwork in order so the purchase process was quick and painless. The car was in pristine, clean condition. I highly recommend this dealer and salesperson for their capacity to meet the needs of used car buyers. Overall, Ames Cars provides excellent attention to customer service and a pleasant, proficient buying experience.

We worked with Shane at Ames Cars.com and had a great experience. We were in the market for a used vehicle for a young girl and wanted something that would be safe and reliable. Shane was easy to work with and incredibly honest. We were able to test drive the cars with out high pressure sales techniques and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. We would recommend to anyone in the market for a used vehicle.

I went in to buy a vehicle from this lot a couple days ago. Shane was the consultant I had been working with through the entire process. He made it very easy and painless. Which is not how it normally goes buying a car. I am a student working as an intern. Even despite that he got me approved for a loan with a very good interest rate. Great guy all around. Definitely not your typical car sales man. I give him and the company he works for five stars for sure!

We are very impressed with the service we received at Ames Cars. The whole process was super easy! Shane is a very kind hearted person, he doesn't look at it as just a sale. He paid for the inspection and an oil change out of his own pocket. He was up front and honest with us. He even offered to let us come and get new rotors and pads in the next couple of months for cost. The next time we buy a used car, we will totally check out Ames Cars first. I didn't even know this used car lot existed! I am going to make sure everyone knows now! Thank you Shane!

I was hesitant to buy a car from a dealer that was not a "big name"...but while searching I saw Shane Dunphy's name and I knew I couldn't go wrong. I met Shane about a year ago and I was truly impressed by his social skills and how approachable he was. I was more than happy when I knew he was working at Ames Cars. I called him and told him I saw a car that i wanted at Ames Cars and the whole buying experience couldn't be smoother and more pleasant. He is a great person, trustworthy and there is no doubt in my mind he is always concerned about making the customer 100% satisfied. He is the reason I actually decided to buy our Yukon Denali at this dealership. Then we met the rest of the crew and we knew we could trust them all. They are very nice. They were accountable for little details and things that needed to be repaired and they did it fast and painless. We really loved the experience of buying a car at Ames Cars and we will recommend this dealer 100%. I would buy a car from this dealership anytime. They are honest and reliable. We recently purchased a new van for our growing family from Shane at Amescars and we couldn't be happier. We got a good price for our trade in and while we were moving funds around they offered to hold the check until we were in the clear. Plus they set aside the van for us without extra charge, because they knew we loved it. This is the second vehicle I've bought from them and I still have the first one too. Shane has a great way with customers to make you feel like you are the most important customer he has, something you don't get at those large dealerships. I never felt pressured or haggled to make a purchase, Shane is very personable and great with kids too!

Shane Dunphy handled our car purchase from beginning to end. He went far above and beyond in making sure the car we bought met our criteria: dependable, fuel efficient, and affordable. He found us a car that had been impeccably maintained and had a clean bill of health from both CARFAX and the mechanic that inspected the car for us. We paid a good price and have a great car that we are confident will continue to meet our needs. The purchase took less than thirty minutes. I've never been more satisfied in a car purchase.

Shane's a good guy whose building a business by doing the right thing. We came from out of state on a Saturday because Shane had the car we wanted. Not five minutes after arriving, he handed us the keys and said take as long as you need. Drove it back to MN that night with nothing but a bill-of-sale and a promise from an IA dealer that we'd get a title and get things straight with MN DMV. Pretty dumb eh? Monday Shane told us he had a problem with the title. He overnighted the title back to the out-of-state previous owner, kept us in communication, and 10 days later we had title in hand and MN plates.

I'm very glad I chose to use one of Ames' only locally owned dealers. AmesCars was a great choice for me. They had the right cars and within my budget. Shane the sales manager was excellent to work with. He was very knowledgable about the cars and answered all my questions thoroughly. Also, Shane went above and beyond through the financing process to ensure I got what I needed within my budget. The buying process was relatively haggle free and straightforward. I would highly recommend AmesCars to anyone looking for a good used car. The staff were personally friendly and great to work with.

So glad we went to Ames Cars. Shane Dunphy made our used car buying experience enjoyable instead of stressful. We were looking for a Subaru within our price range. Not only was he very knowledgeable about Subys, but he got us within our budget. We came away feeling like we knew our salesman as a person and he knew us as more than just customers. This was a very different and unique way to purchase a car. For a small independent dealer Ames Cars has a varied selection of nice used cars. We would recommend them highly and in particular, ask for Shane.

Great Experience. Bought a small suv for my niece. We looked for a couple of weeks on-line, and drove a few to see what she liked. The ease of doing business at a smaller dealership was refreshing. The guys were knowledgeable about vehicles and the website was up to date. Great financing options at the dealership. (rare for a small store). Will look up Amescars when I'm ready for a new truck.

Gave them one star because I couldn't give them less. Bought a vehicle from them and it had issues later on the same night. After being given the run around for about a month I was told that when buying a used vehicle I should expect for there to be some things that needed fixing and also that when they purchase their vehicles to sell that they do not take a look at any of them. I was quoted at 1600$ worth of repairs to which he responded by saying that he drove the vehicle and that there was no way that the vehicle needed that much work done. He told me that the solution could be that he just stop selling affordable cars. "Quaity, Honesty, Integrity", yeah right. Fooled me once but they'll never see mine or anybody else's business I know and I hope that you do your homework on this place. Wish I'd read reviews before I gave them my money to take a piece of junk off of their hands.
