The entire process with Automotive Specialties was hassle-free and easy. As most people, we were apprehensive about the used-car-buying experience. All the positive reviews on this dealer were spot-on. We found an exceptional deal. The car was affordable for the year and mileage. They even took the BMW to have the headliner replaced at an upholstery shop per our request. No haggling on the price. Straight-forward dealings with Scott. We couldn't be happier and will recommend Automotive Specialties to anyone looking for a new used vehicle.

Very refreshing way of doing the used car business. They gave us an informative price sheet for the cars on the lot, all the cars were open, and we were free to roam and look as we pleased. The cars were in good condition covering a wide range of prices. No helicopter salesmen hovering around asking nosey questions. The staff were very helpful when we did ask a question, and we test drove three cars before finding one we liked. Prices are pretty reasonable and firm...it's a no-haggle zone. Once we made our decision, the paperwork was done in 15 minutes and we were on our way. Our experience was very positive and we drove home in a car that suited us without being subjected to gimmicks or mind games. Thanks to the folks at Automotive Specialties for treating us like adults and letting everyone on the lot explore at their leisure and make up our own minds.

We were very impressed with this dealership! On March 17th, we came in to look at a car advertised on Cars.com. We wanted a vehicle to tow behind our motorhome, 4 wheels down. We looked at the advertised car, a Saturn Vue, and then also looked at several Honda CRVs that they had on the lot. We test drove and purchased a very clean 2010 Honda CRV. We were given a great trade-in price for our 2005 Subaru Outback. The paperwork was handled efficiently and we drove away with big smiles on our faces! Thank you, Automotive Specialties for living up to your motto! This was a very pleasant experience!

I was looking for a good used car at a reasonable price. Automotive Specialties was just the place for me. I entered the lot after researching the particular model I wanted online. The car I looked at had curb appeal, and was in great condition. The lot owner gave me the car fax. He le me take a test drive, and we figured out financing. I was out in about one hour. This was an easy purchase. It was in no way the gut wrenching all day experience I have had at other lots. I will buy my next car here.

We were in the market for a car for my youngest daughter. We perused the internet and saw a car we were interested in. I researched the dealership and was impressed by the number of years (over 20) they have been in business and the outstanding reviews they have received on cars.com. We worked with John and Scott who were both wonderful. High pressure...no way. Low pressure...not even. No pressure...absolutely. We found a perfect car! Really an amazing buying experience and can't say enough about how friendly and professional the crew is at the dealership. I highly suggest that those in the market for a car, stop by and give them the opportunity to help you. Next time I am in the market for a car I will got to them first. I would recommend them to friends or family too. I give them an A+++ rating.

We have been to Automotive Specialties before in the past just to look at their selections but we had never bought anything until a few weeks ago. We were looking for a Honda CRV and this dealer has a lot to choose from. Good selection, helpful and low pressure. There were a few things that needed to be replaced on the CRV and they took care of everything before we picked it up the next day. The only downside is they don't budge on price. So if you're not willing to pay sticker price then this probably isn't the dealer for you- however they are pretty fair about their asking prices.

This XC70 is my second purchase from Dave. I bought my Subaru 3 years ago and even after 3 years Dave remembered my name. Dave and Scott were personable, honest and easy to talk to. No sales pitches, no pressure...just a great experience (both times!) The 100.00 headlight went out the day I picked my Volvo up and it was fixed with no questions asked. Thanks for making honesty part of your business model. I would recommend Automotive Specialties to anyone looking the invest hard earned money in an honest machine.

We bought a 2005 Town and Country Van a week ago tomorrow from Scott. He was very up front with us that they believe they price their vehicles at fair market value. A first time dealing with someone who does not negotiate. For that reason, we expected a great vehicle. At just under 53,000 miles on a 9 year old van, I was concerned about spending that kind of money and buying it as is. Today, we took it to have the transmission flushed, as we saw nothing in the Carfax that it had been done. Our go to guy at Lloyd's Automotive said the fluid looked good and didn't need it. They checked out the van further and he was impressed with the condition it was in. He said he would have had no hesitation buying it. That was a big relief for us, as we've had a couple of bum vans in the past three years and just want something that will last us . . . hopefully for 10 years.

On Thursday found the car on cars.com called to see if the car was still available, it was. Went down to drive it on Thursday afternoon. Got my own financing on Friday morning. Drove home on Friday evening. No heavy sales pitch just plain courteous. Thanks Scott for making it easy.

My mom and I drove from Moses Lake, WA to look at a Nissan that Automotive Specialties had in there lot. I am a first time buyer of a new/used vehicle and was nervous. The guys that work there were very friendly, and were more than helpful. They brought up the van I was looking at online, and let us test drive it. We heard a small noise coming from the car, and upon our return we let John know our concern. He offered to take another drive with us and offered to have the problem fixed. Come to find out it was nothing, but he never once pressured us into buying it. We told them we wanted to go look out a few more car lots before we made our decision, again no pressure. John gave me his card so we could call him back if we decided on the van. After visiting a few places Automotive had the best price, so we called back. John talked with us for awhile after I explained that I have had bad experiences with vehicles, hence or decision to try a car lot. He assured me that their mechanics look over the vehicles before they sell them, and if for some reason I had any trouble with the van within the first month or two to bring it back so they could have it fixed. And if the problem happens later on, say 6 months, to call them back anyways and they will have a mechanic fix it for a decent price. We drove the van off the lot and brought it home, and so far this van has been amazing! Could not be happier with our decision. Thank you John for making this a great experience.

Bought a 1990 Lexus LS440 sight unseen from Automotive Specialties. I thought the pictures were fare quality only to find three spots in need of re-spray. I also asked if everything worked, including any switch knob or button. They failed to tell me that the passenger door check was broken and made God awful noises when opened or closed. They did not tell me the cassette deck was broken. They commented that they had no cassettes to check it out with. They performed a rank amateur job on a driver seat rip and repair. They said they were charging the AC as we talked only to have it fail the very next day in the middle of the Utah desert. They did not tell me of the broken splash guard in the driver side's front undercarriage. I should have allowed more time to view the vehicle. The airlines I road up to Spokane on had emergency repairs and I could not get there before 8pm. I was greeted by Scott Pauly from Automotive Specialties and we conducted the sale at their shop. The interior of the shop was rather unorganized and felt like I was in someone's garage at home. I left as soon as I could as I was disappointed with the passenger door, the quality of the seller's shop and the air of non-disclosure that was becoming more evident the longer I looked at the car. Should I have inspected the car prior to sale? Yes. Did I trust the verbal communication between myself and Automotive Specialties? Yes. In the big picture the inability of Automotive Specialties to accurately disclose information was the poorest representation that the company should be judged on. I judge it as Poor.

Went to this lot to look at a few cars and straight away noticed that the cars at this location had been in prior accidents. The dealer says they are mechanically tested however I found a few mechanical flaws (not little blemishes) on a few cars. Be mindful of what you are buying from this location.

Buying my car from Automotive Specialties was the most enjoyable business experience I had ever had. After a bad experience with another dealership, I was exhausted and feeling pretty down. John is the exact opposite of the stereotypical used car salesman, and we spent maybe half an hour with him (including the test drive) before we decided to buy. He took great care of me and my family and we never felt any pressure whatsoever. I feel I can trust them wholeheartedly. Any repairs needed will go straight to them! Thanks again for making me a part of the family!!

Overall great experience, never had bought from a lot in my life. Easy process and found car we wanted without settling. Agreed to have AC fixed before we ever bought and once we bought we had to take it back 3 times for their shop to get it right with the AC. They apologized and gave us gift card. Also liked the fact that even though it was in shop they told me where shop that was doing the work was at so I could go talk to them. Hopefully this does not happen very often for other people. But otherwise good experience with them despite problems seemingly out of their control.

I went to this dealer to purchase a Honda Civic that was advertised online. As soon as I was on the lot, they made me feel right at home. John, the salesman, didn't pressure me at all. In fact, he told me to take my time with the test drive. Heeding his advice, my test drive was about 25 miles long. It was great to not have to worry about someone pushing to sell me something. He answered all my questions and was extremely friendly. Scott the finance person, handled the paperwork and was helpful answering my questions. The whole experience was first rate! They even told me to come back if I needed any repairs! I would recommend Automotive Specialties to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle in Spokane.

Hands down one of the most painless and enjoyable experience of buying a used car -- incredible in quality of service, flexibility, friendliness; and a pretty good quality selection of cars. My teenage son and I took our time, almost a month, looking around -- yet during this time, no bothersome calls to pressure us; the calls received were follow-ups that we specifically requested. No typical car sales pressure; and amazing accommodation as we were able to keep the car overnight to take to our mechanic. AUTOMATIVE SPECALTIES is AWESOME and is highly recommended from us if you are in the market for good quality used cars. We dealt with John... Thank you John -- you ROCK!

I have never written a car dealership review, but in this case i will. Jeff and Dave are honorable people who run a trustworthy dealership. I don't believe you can say that about many places. I went to them because I saw they had good 5 star reviews to begin with. After talking with them over the phone I kept returning to their website and checking out there retail and comparing it with others. I am from out of state so most of my research was done online. They pride themselves in selling a car that "you can drive to New York and back" Before we left the lot they had put in a new head gasket, timing belt and water pump to ensure it was in good order, keeping it basically at the same price. I felt we made friends. Their prices are honest to begin with, with none of the overpriced mark up expecting to play the negotiation game like all the dealers seem to do. Other cars I reviewed that were similar in price did not have the mechanical work done, so one would be buying a problem or soon to be a problem. I highly recomment them.

We bought a used car from this dealership and the process couldn't have gone better. When we wanted the tires changed on the car before we bought it, they worked with us and made sure we were completely satisfied with our vehicle. They offered to stay open late for us a couple of nights so we could look at cars and everyone in the dealership is extremely friendly. Overall a great dealership.

This group of people are awesome. They treated me right without being pushy at all. I was able to get financed without issues and the vehicle they put me in is great. I'm a college graduate which means I have relatively no practical skills that every human living in the USA should have by my age already. So right off the bat I felt at a disadvantage while shopping for cars. Made one stop in to Automotive Specialties and knew that I felt good about buying a car from them. John was very welcoming and hospitable, not to mention he had a good sense of humor which just makes the experience that much better. No one was pushy, I received one friendly phone call (not eight) two days after visiting and it was just a small checkup to make sure my interest was still piqued. Good business tactics, nothing else. John set me up with everything I needed to know about my end of the bargain and what they needed from me to drive a car off the lot the first time we met. 5 days later I'm drooling over my 2008 Subaru WRX parked out front now. Took maybe 10 minutes max to do the paperwork and get the keys in my hand. I lucked out because everyone at Automotive Specialties didn't give me an opportunity to have a bad experience buying by myself for the first time. There is a reason that their page is top to bottom 5 star reviews. Plus their selection is just killer. 10/10 Can't rave about these guys enough.

When these guys say they will not bug you while shopping for a car they truly mean it. I purchased a Honda Civic from them and it went great! They supply you with the car-fax and are completely honest with you. Very welcoming and do not rush your decision. After purchasing our new Honda, John took us to the gas station to fill it up half way since it was on empty! I recommend these guys to all. I know I'll be back for my next car! I've always bought cars from a private party before, but I couldn't find a Honda CRV in my price range that didn't have 200k+ miles on it. As soon as we walked onto the lot we were encouraged to take it for a spin. John was very welcoming and funny during the whole process and I was amazed at the kindness we were given from the whole staff. It definitely was a much better experience than the other car lot I visited the day before. I will happily go back when I need another car!

The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. They make the process about the customer, not about their own quotas. The salesmen are honest, upfront, and fair. Given we had done some of the process via phone beforehand, I was only in the office for a matter of minutes. There was no long wait, but even for the short time I did, it was a fun office to be in. I definitely recommend doing business here.

These guys were so low stress and incredibly helpful. I bought my black wrx from them and I love it so much! I don't know a ton about cars and buying them and automotive specialities helped me so much. They were honest with me and didn't try to force me into anything. They were also very accommodating, they knew I really wanted the car. Even though they aren't open Sundays, they were going to let me make an appointment to meet with someone and test drive it again. I was so excited when I got my wrx and I could really tell they were excited for me. It was a great group of people who are really great at their job.

This car lot is amazing. They have lots of very nice used cars of all prices and the owners and people who work there are so good to work with. They were upfront and honest and accommodating...If I had only gone here first, I would have saved myself days of wasted time and frustration.
