Payed 140 dollars for the tech to come back and tell me my egr cooler needs to be cleaned service writer told me it would be 7 hrs of labor I got home and pulled the egr valve and cooler off in LESS then an hour and a half cleaned both thoroughly and reinstalled still the same problem now I'm 140 out of pocket and no closer to a fix

Wheel Hub broke on my GMC dually on Garden State Pkwy in route from N jersey to Wildwood vacation rental. Siri informed me that Barlow of Manahawkin (exit 63 LBI) was closest GMC dealership. Hobbled there on own steam, just in time before losing a wheel. Was anxious that the repair process would kill vaca buzz and cost a fortune. But a miracle took place. Brittany working customer care had the truck on the lift in minutes, diagnoses the hub issue, told me repair could be completed next day since it was already 4pm, set me up with a rental / loaner car to get me on my way. To my amazement I was back on the road in route to vaca house in a miraculous 35 minutes after arrival. C'mon, that was simply too good to be true. But it's the truth. Picked up vehicle next day. Price was very reasonable. What could have been a catastrophe turned out to be little more than a hick-up. Thanked the owner Liz as well as all the staff I ran into. Could not be more pleased and surprised with the exceptional service and overall experience. My confidence in dealerships is at an all time high! Thank you Barlow Buick of Manahawkin, NJ

My last review for Barlow was a negative one due to the dealership claiming corroded tailgate/hatch struts that are internal, is normal wear and tear on a 2 year old vehicle. I was initially told it was my responsibility to cover charge on new ones. Since the initial conversations with the dealership three weeks ago, there was a significant positive outcome that to be fair, must be detailed here to show good customer service in regards to the service at Barlow. Apparently, the rep and service manager agreed that after looking at photos of the corrosion on the parts that are not exposed to the elements , they should be replaced as GMC's responsibility and not my own. I was treated kind during this service and the service was done in a very timely manner. My only concern is I wish this would have been the outcome 3 and a half weeks ago. During this time, my family has been looking for different brand SUV. This search would have never been started if this was resolved at the first phone call. Overall , the repair was made and good customer service was received during this last visit and this need to be acknowledged.

Please understand I am trying to be as accurate and fair as possible. This dealership's service department however did not give me the same respect. After owning a GMC Terrain for 2 years we discovered corrosion on the arms/brackets that are responsible for holding the back hatch up. This is always inside of the vehicle and never exposed to the elements. When asked if this is covered under corrosion the dealership said this is "normal wear and tear." This was a obvious way for the dealership to get out of paying for item. My question is this: How is corrosion on the inside of a vehicle that is responsible for holding up a 100plus lb hatch "normal"???? I have never seen anything like this on any of my previous SUV's especially after just 2 years. It's a blatant lack of respect for what could have been a repeat customer. Then there is the danger factor, This gives way and fails it could fall on one of my children. Remember, these brackets are responsible for holding the back tailgate up. I promise after this situation I am on may way to look for a new vehicle from a different dealership. If I can I will post the new contract to prove this. I will do whatever I can to inform people about this. It's unreal.

When I arrived at Barlow, everyone was extremely welcoming. The manager, Zach, greeted me and personally introduced me to Sean in sales. Sean actually owns a GMC Terrain and was able to give me great insight. I had the complete opposite experience at the other dealerships I visited. After taking a look at the vehicle, I worked with Sean to find the exact vehicle that I wanted. Barlow did not have the exact vehicle on the lot, but was very willing to find one up to 300 miles away. I showed Sean the lowest prices I was able to find at other dealerships (and online) and he and Zach were able to get me an even better deal. They also got me better financing rates and offered me a very fair amount for my trade-in which sealed the deal for me. Two days later, they had my new Terrain ready for pick-up and it was beautiful. Sean worked with me in advance to get some details to make the paperwork go very quickly. I had the keys in my hand in a flash. Before leaving, Sean gave me an insightful tour of all of the handy features before sending me off with a huge smile on my face. I could not have asked for a better car-buying experience.

Bought 3 vehicles from Barflow. Just spent over $5000 in repairs that took 5 weeks. I drop truck off for tires on Thursday, need truck for work Sunday.Call Saturday afternoon - nil ever touched my truck or called to tell me.My 2005 GMC has been dealer maintained. It's a piece of junk. Service is horrible, no respect for my time or for repeat customers.This is my last GM vehicle.

First off, when you are honest like I am and something bad happens, you state the facts and move on. At the same time, when something good happens, you state the facts and move on just the same. I am PA AUTO ENTHUSIAST from Hazleton, Pa and in my previous review I had nothing positive to say because the salesman dropped the ball. Since that time we reconnected and I TOTALLY applaud this dealership for their strong sales staff and ability to make deals. The initial salesman which I wrote about contacted me and gave me some of the greatest service I have ever received in my life. Hands down I have to say that if you are in the market for a vehicle in a 200 mile radius of this dealership, then by all means check their inventory and see if they have a vehicle you are interested in. Trust me.... you won't be disappointed!! And if you do decide to contact them, ask for Jamie, one of the very best and knowledgeable salesman you will ever meet in the auto industry.

Contacted Barlow Buick GMC several days ago inquiring to purchase one of their vehicles. Received 2 emails from the same salesman asking me to contact him back and inform him of what I was continued to be interested in. I did so on several occasions with plenty of information for him to pass along to his bosses to try and possibly get a deal going to make me one of their new customers. Unfortunately, the salesman never responded to any of my attempts to try and get a deal going and by doing so, they have lost any opportunity to gain my business. I would have thought that since I was 3 hours away from their dealership that they would have seriously welcomed the opportunity to gain my business. However, their poor customer service and buying process did nothing other than ignore me and force me to never consider purchasing from them ever again.

jammie g is an honest sales man. shows you the figures up front, trade= discounted car price= no big add on. not pushie , shows you want you want not old stock that the dealership wants to move. and liz in f&i doesn't try to load you with thousands in add on policies . very mellow dealer. they don't try to bump the figures that they give you.

Great. Someone should check debris left behind after doing their work. eg recall required relocating front seats getting to wire harness, splicing back the yellow wire. left behind on the floor were pieces of yellow wire covering and also the black wire cover. thought you would like to know since you care about customer satisfaction.

Dropped my car off at 8:30 am originally told it would be ready that day. I was called at 3 was told it would be ready the next day. Todd I think his name was nice enough to get my childs car seat and frog that he plays with and pick it up out of the construction trailer. When they called me the next day at2ish to say it was all done my wife went down and John helped get her carseats out of the rent a car and into our acadia. WIth her hands full of our 2nd child lilly it was greatly appreciated.

It was probably the best car buying experience we have ever had. Sean Way and Zak And Jim were ALL very helpful and knowledge about the cars. They knew what out budget was and work with us to find exactly what we wanted. There was no High pressure or even low pressure placed on us. Car buying experiences are not usually good, but your team is great. This is the third car we have purchased since we moved down to Manahawkin, 9 years ago. I would never consider going anywhere else for a car.

I called 4/10/2014 to report a whining sound when my car was in drive.I was given an appoinment for 9:30 AM on the next day.The Bearing Assembly had to be replaced on the right rear wheel. The dealership is under construction at the present time. However, the owner Mr. Barlowe took the time out of his day to speak to me in the Reception Area. We chatted about the projected finish date, which he said the end of July. I mentioned that I noticed other dealerships expanded their dealerships as well. I rec'd an email regarding my upcoming service and asked if I wanted to schedule it via email. I responded immediately and said yes. Almost one month went by and I did not receive another email. I sent a second email asking why I had not heard back from them. This time, I rec'd a response right away and my appointment was booked for the very next day, at the time I requested. In the end, the communication delay was compensated with a speedy appointment and friendly service. I am very satisfied.

I was very pleased with the service! At the time I bought my car, I was not ready to do so. My husband and I walked in, spoke with Sean and told him our dilemma. My Monte Carlo was there to be worked on at your location, and was going to cost more that the car was worth anymore, since I just put $3000 worth of work into it back in December, so I did not want to put another almost $2000 into an 11yr old car. So, after explaining this to Sean, we looked around at the used cars, I picked out my Chev Malibu 1LTZ, as we waited, all I could was something affordable. Needless to say I was very happy with the trade in that you gave me for my Monte Carlo, and the deal you gave me on the Chev Malibu. Sean is the first dealer we have dealt with in 15 years. In the past I have always worked with one particular dealer, he is now retired. Sean is our new friend now and so is Barlow GMC. Thank you for working with us the way you did.

Needed 100K service done and thought I'd have to make two separate appointments because I couldn't leave my Sierra at the shop that long. Jennifer got it done for me in one visit. Very friendly service and pricing was made clear to me along the way. It's hard for me to get my truck serviced. I have every other Saturday off and sometimes get called in on that day off. Very easy transaction. Jamie Goshorn was wonderful to work with. His primary concern was that we were happy. We bought a GzmC Terrain at the end of 2011 and the experience was so wonderful we recommended him to our friends and family who also bought. In December 2012 we went back to Jamie and got a 2012 Yukon. Again it was an excellent customer experience. The price came to what we wanted to pay and everyone there is delightful. Having lost my car to " Super Sandy" I dreaded dealing with buying a new car with my " not so hot" credit rating and limited funds. After dealing with one dealership on my way to Barlow, I was extremely disenchanted and decidedly frustrated. I arrived at Barlow and within 5 minutes with Zach I was hopeful. Within an hour with Jamie I was signing. I had leased my brand new, luxuriously loaded, and affordable Verano! Do I sound like a sappy commercial? I swear I would never have thought I would be writing this about a car- buying experience. It was fun ! No BS, no false wheeling and dealing, painless. In addition, the monthly price was 33 % less monthly than the " deal " I was offered at the first dealership. And the first car I looked at was worth 9000 less! After leasing my new car I returned 2 x within the next week with questions and Jamie helped right away, no feeling like they had my sale so I didn't matter anymore, no need to prioritize helping me. I must add that my friend, who is perhaps the toughest customer, quick to find fault ( sorry friend ) is incredibly impressed with their service department, shout out to Jen, the Service Manager. Bottom line, even if your first choice is not a Buick, GMC...check them out, you may, as I did, change your mind. If not, you will most likely get a new opinion of how cool car dealers can be!

I've been a loyal GM owner for many, many years. With over 150,000 miles on my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer and facing a load of repair work, I visited Barlow GMC in Manhawkin, NJ to inquire about possibilities for a new vehicle, particularly the GMC Terrain. Salesman Jamie Goshorn was incredibly helpful, and was honest about the incentive plans being offered on the pick-up trucks (including Sierra) which were not available on the crossovers. Understanding my need for an SUV style vehicle, Jamie sat down and worked with me on the best possible price and options, and was incredibly helpful in moving forward with the best possible deal. I never felt pressured or over a barrel, and was confident from the first hour that I would be keeping my loyalty in the GM family thanks to Jamie and the Barlow staff. I have recently had one of the best customer service experiences in my life at this dealer. I was in the market for a new vehicle, but had previously never purchased or leased a brand new vehicle. I did my research, and decided i was interested in the Buick Verano. After shopping the different local dealers, i decided to contact Barlows Buick GMC due to an outstanding special they were offering on the Buick Verano - the verbiage on the deal was cut and dry, unlike some of the other dealers ads i looked at it was to the point and i liked that.I quickly applied for financing on Barlows website and was shortly thereafter contacted by Kim (via e-mail, as i apparently entered an my phone number incorrectly) who invited me down to test drive the Verano and to discuss my options.I ended up dealing with Jamie Goshorn when i arrived on the lot, and he was absolutely fantastic in answering all my questions, and informing me of some of the features i was not aware of in the vehicle. There was absolutely no awkward pressure, ever. It turns out, due to my limited credit history and being self employed getting my financing was going to take some work. Jamie quickly worked with myself and Elizabeth to get the Bank all of the information possible to get me approved for financing when i am sure many dealers would have walked the opportunity or just not gone the extra mile. Jamie also went out of the way to make sure i received every rebate possible in the deal, and even fielded questions related to car insurance, and informed me of features that would reduce my premium which obviously is not his responsibility.I was approved for financing, and went to sign the paperwork with Elizabeth who clearly and honestly walked me through the process and provided an answer to any questions i had. I felt comfortable, and the information she provided me matched exactly what was in the contract - there was no surprises.The car is working out great, and being in the customer service / sales industry i felt the need to leave this review to commend them on the awesome team effort and dedication to customer service - i will honestly be referring people in my situation regarding financing, and people who are not, to Jamie and Barlows whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I have purchased twelve new General Motors cars during my life and have high expectations of the salesperson. Jamie has met those expectations in every way. My initial contact with him was to research the vehicle (GMC Terrain). He knew I had no intention of purchasing a new car, but spent much time with me answering all my questions. When I left Jamie, I was fairly certain that was the SUV for me, and Jamie was the person to put me in it. In less than a week, I drove home with my new Terrain and enjoy it very much. He is a credit to General Motors and to Barlow.
