My Family has bought at least four cars from this dealership and has had all of them serviced here as well. The salespeople are extremely knowledgeable about the cars and truly believe in the product they are selling. Volvo is a great brand, and the dealership in Barrington has a very close-knit family/people friendly atmosphere unlike that of other luxury car dealerships, which come closer to resembling white washed mausoleums. Besides this, the service we have received has been over the top excellent, and they have repeatedly gone out of their way to accommodate busy schedules and inconveniences.

Horrible customer service! Parts department representative was very rude and offensive. It was my first and definitely last visit. I don't recommend Barrington Volvo!

Absolutely fantastic car and dealership! My wife and I recently began leasing a 2013 S60 T5 through Barrington Volvo. This is the seventh Volvo our family has purchased through Barrington Volvo over the past decades. Having moved well outside the area several years ago, our trip to the dealership required a four hour drive, which in our minds still remained a no-brainer, as we wouldve driven double that to deal with Franz. As anticipated, the staff at Barrington Volvo was astounding and made the visit seamless, pleasurable and friendly. Franz (junior, in this case) went well beyond what is anticipated of an auto dealer: the procurement and self-delivery of our out-of-state license plates, the preprogramming of the radio with not only Chicago area stations but of those within the area of our residence, contacting our insurance company to make note of the cars safety features (which leads to reduced rates) and taking as much time necessary for us to feel at comfort within our new car. These and other reasons are what have in the past brought us to Barrington Volvo and will continue to bring us back for future purchases or leases. My wife and I highly recommend Barrington Volvo to those considering a purchase or lease of one of these awesome cars. Just as our new S60 has blown us away and put smiles on our faces, so has the staff at Barrington Volvo.

Just purchased my first Volvo from Barrington Volvo! Out of all the cars I have purchased this was the most pleasant and "fair" deal I have ever received. Contacted Franz and received an internet quote that detailed all the pricing as I had requested. Wanted to purchase from a Cadillac / Volvo / Saab dealer, which was closer to my home and attempted to purchase through that dealer rather than Barrington. After telling me they would "lose money on selling the car at the price I wanted" I left the dealership. Went straight to Barrington Volvo and on the way there the Cadillac / Volvo / Saab dealer called to tell me they would reluctantly accept my terms. Decided to give Barrington Volvo a chance since I was almost there. Steve took great care of me, no games, just a straightforward price. Better than the price I would have settled for at the other dealer! Within 1 hour I had signed the purchase agreement, valued my trade, and picked up the vehicle the next day. I would highly recommend the team at Barrington Volvo. They may not the highest volume dealer in the area but can offer a much better experience and excellent price!

Own 2 Volvos purchased from Barrington Volvo in 1998 and 2003, and have had them serviced there ever since. Both cars have well over 100,000 miles and are still going strong. The Sales and Service experiences have been excellent, and other family members have also purchased from them. I appreciate their no frills, high quality approach, and trust the service department implicitly.Service has been very accomodating, adjusting to when I can bring the cars in, and often has a loaner vehicle available for me. Note that I don't ask for one all the time... just when the work is going to take a half-day or more. Small example of them going above and beyond without mentioning it -- replaced my remote key fob that was cracking, primarily because I'd dropped it one too many times!On at least 2 occasions while sitting in the waiting area, I've talked to other customers who come from great distances in the Chicago area to get their car serviced here, passing other Volvo dealers on the way. I can't think of a higher recommendation.

Best car buying experience ever! Price was excellent right from the start, the customer service was stellar and by far the easiest and most laid back I've ever had, and the delivery experience of the vehicle was better than I expected for an entry-level luxury brand. The crew at Barrington Volvo is second to none!!

This has been the best dealer experience I have had since I started buying card 30 years ago. Franz was willing to work with me putting me into the vehicle I wanted at a price I could afford. Needless to say Barrington Volvo's attention to detail, friendly service, and customer care will have me buying vehicles from them for years to come. I should also mention that I travelled approximately 40 miles from Downers Grove to Barrington to make this purchase after just 1 phone conversation with the owner himself. To Franz and the other's at Barrington Volvo thank You for introducing me to a great deal, and the best vehicle I have owned. Thank You, Joe Mihalec

It is our first time to buy a Volvo car. We just purchased an XC90 with Konrad yesterday. Here is our story. We saw their online special and stopped by for a test drive. We met with Konrad in the sales office. He was very patient to answer our questions and concerns. We test-drove the 2010 model and noticed the noise when speeding up the car. We realized that the Volvo is different from the Japanese cars. We went home with bad feelings of Volvo cars. The car was not available on that day. We felt that the special was simply not real at all. A week later, I got a phone call from Konrad to inform me the car was in the dealership and asked me to do another test drive. This time it was a brand new car and much better than the first one we tried. We loved the one and decided to buy this one. We did not negotiate the price since we thought it was a reasonable one. But we did negotiate the trad-in of our Sienna. Two days later, my wife, my kids and I went the dealership and finished all the paper work. Konrad detailed out all the equipments in the car. My daughter is especially impressive about the Konrad and the dealer. Everyone in our family had a very nice experience over the dealership. We love our XC90.
