Customer Service was great when I was in the process of looking and buying the car. Once the car was purchased obviously the customer service ended with the sale. After having the car for about 3-4 weeks I noticed that the brakes were squeaking. I called the salesman that sold me the car, he stated that "I'm just a peon and you need to talk with the pre-owned manager." He said that he would give him my number. Well after no call in about 5 days I called him. Left a message. Still no return call in 3 more days I called back and asked to speak to his boss. Again was put through to a voicemail and yep you guessed it NO RETURN CALL. By this time I had a trip planned to go out of town and needed the car checked. Not knowing what was going on I had my son take the car in. The repair guy said that I needed front brakes to the tune of $249. JUST FOR FRONT BRAKES!!! I again called to discuss this with a manager and got the voicemails.I called the dealership and asked to please speak with someone. No one could come to the phone. I had to leave the next day for my trip which was 600 miles one way. Would you drive your vehicle not knowing what was going on? So needless to say I had to go somewhere else to have my brakes checked and indeed needed brakes. I got them fixed for much less than what was quoted at the dealership. I called once I returned because I never received a call back. I finally got to speak with a manager who of course apologized for everything and was going to check into the presale inspection and f/u with the repair guy and get back with me. Yep you guessed it no call back for 1 1/2 weeks. Out of the blue today I got a call from one of the first guys that I called and he said he was returning my call. After telling him my frustration he was gonna check into everything and call me back. That was 4 hours ago and I haven't heard from him. So again I called and had to leave him another voice mail. which wasn't to kind. I told him I didn't know why I expected a call back but that I was still waiting on answers. I just want someone to tell me what the inspection said presale and what the guidelines are for the brakes being ok when the car was placed on the lot for sale. I even told them I get that I purchased the car an I just wanted answers. Would have split the cost of the brakes (at least 1/2 of the cost) but now I'm so frustrated I wish I could just take the car back to them. I won't ever buy another car from this dealer just because of the pitiful customer service I've gotten. So my advice is to make sure you know what you are buying and all the specifics. Because they obviously practice out of sight out of mind. Being a single female and purchasing a vehicle is scary enough but to just be ignored is worse. I got them all the information they asked for in a timely manner and attempted to make this an easy sale for them. But customers don't seem to matter to these people as long as they get their money. Poor business.

After doing (possibly too much?) research for (probably) too long, I'd FINALLY decided that I wanted a loaded Deep Pearl Blue Maxima Platinum....options, accessories and color all carefully chosen. I fully expected my first ever new-car-buying experience to be daunting. I went to Benson Nissan and met with the most amazing salesperson Lisa and the incredible Manager Charlie Clendenin. Lisa was wonderful from the very beginning and answered all of my (many) questions patiently and professionally. Once I'd gotten all my "details" listed on the car as I wanted it, I began working with Charlie on payments and price. Charlie (like Lisa) treated me and fielded all of my questions and concerns masterfully, gracefully, dynamically, patiently, professionally and expertly...all while genuinely feeling like an old friend I'd not seen in far too long. The level of respect and appreciation that I was treated with throughout the entire process was on level I NEVER expected while he continued to put me at ease and patiently answered several of my questions (often more than once!) as I slowly came up to speed on "the process". Charlie is the epitome of how one SHOULD carry themselves and interact with with someone who comes into any business looking to make a purchase. Both went FAR above and beyond to get me the EXACT car that I wanted and at an amazingly good price!! :) I could not be more pleased with Benson Nissan and both Lisa and Charlie. Not only will I proudly recount my experience there to any who will listen, I will strongly insist that others take their business there and give the Benson staff a chance to show them how a car-buying experience SHOULD AND CAN BE! My only regret....that I don't yet have enough money to BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM BENSON!!!! P.S. Five stars is nowhere near enough to reflect my experience. :)

Marcus Leibowitz sales consultant. Awesome, kool, laid back nice. Friendly and professional. Made car buying pleasant. Time to sign ppwork . Sit and wait an wait and wait and wait some more over an hour 1/2.. To the point fixing to walk out. Finally my nightmare begins Michele Stevens desides to come out from her office with no customers in their. To help us with ppwork. Little did we know our 2 week nightmare would begin. MicheleS Stevens received all of the ppwork that she asked for from my elderly sick father that was helping me sign for the car. With then the next day. And she insisted that it was not what she needed . Phone calls voice mails threats of taking my jeep back not only from her but other manger's. O Totally disturbing. I called Michele Stevens the first time she left me and my dad messages about the ppwork and she was very rude to me .So I asked can I speak with a manager.And she screemed at me Over the phone "I Am The Manager " and hung up on me.Point of the whole buying experience Drama Drama Benson had the ppwork they needed to start with. Yes I would send a friend to buy a car from Marcus Leibowitz at Benson .Bc he did everything a great sales man should do. He stuck by the customer he stayed professional never dipped on my phone calls ,and he kept his kool. Professional .will make an Awesome Manager. over e phone "I Am The Manager

My experience at Benson Used carlot Spartanburg. Less than a month ago. Marcus Leibowitz was my sellsman. Awesome, professional, nice ,polite, honest laid back .calm he was everything that makes car buying easy. I would vote for him to be a manger. But then it was time to go for ppwork signing. And here came after leaving me and my husband sitting for over an hour or so to the point that we were fixing to walk out With no customers sitting at her desk came Michele Stevens. And litte did I know that my ,2 weeks of harassing phone calls and threats of taking my car back would begin to me and my elderly sick father. A total nightmare. Over one peiace of paper of my dad's bank account that we had already gave her. If you go to Benson to buy a used car even with more than excellent credit. Load your house up and everything in it including your underwear. And take it with you to Benson Used car lot bc Michele Stevens is going to ask for it.And if try to call her and know about the ppwork. Hope she don't do you like she did me when I asked to speak to a manger Michele Stevens screemed in the phone at me " I am the manger" and hung up the pphone on me.

My experience at Benson was like no other. My sales person was Lisa Penham. Her dedication to customer service was remarkable. She was patient during the buying process and treated me like family. She stayed with me and gave me one-to-one attention when truthfully she didn't have to. It was that special attention that I appreciate the most. You can tell that's naturally who she is: attentive, communicative and trustworthy. I could always depend on her to answer my calls. I've had this car since April. It was in top notch shape when I bought it. The incentive package that I received upon signing sweetened the deal. I've had no issues and when I have questions about the car, they are there to answer them. Thank you Lisa for being a great face and representative for Benson. I have recommended Benson to 2 of my friends who bought from Benson because they also loved the awesome service. Benson Nissan misrepresented my car the price, the condition & the history and sent the buyers order for a different price than we agreed upon. There is also a $399 paperwork fee that was not disclosed. They also require you to sign an agreement that you will not sue them. I wish I had walked away.

I live in Greenville, the owner Mr. Benson picked me up! He said his men were busy so he wanted to be useful, how cool is that? When Mr. Benson brought me into the dealership his son was the man who helped me with the financing, this is a nice family business. Everyone in the dealership was busy but they still made me feel welcome and appreciated. Only 20 minutes up I85 from Greenville.

My son and wife were looking for a used car. Unfortunately, my son found a car at this dealership. The salesperson was very nice. The problem was the financial person in the lower building. It was late and he was ready to leave...understandable. Pushy...about the warranties...very rude, heard him complaining to sales person out side office very loudly. Buying a car has always been a fun experience, but not at this dealership.

After searching for vehicles throughout the Atlanta Metro area, I was referred to Benson by a friend. After contacting the dealership, a manager referred me to a salesperson to take a look at some vehicles. I drove from Atlanta to Spartanburg and I wasn't disappointed. My salesperson took her time and allowed me to drive several vehicles. She was attentive and went above and beyond to find the vehicle that fit what I was looking for. This included traveling to other stores in the dealership group! The finance department was very helpful and took the time to explain all of my financing options. Even though the entire process lasted beyond closing, I never felt rushed and I received incredible customer service throughout. The level of customer service was head and shoulders above what I received at 4 different dealerships in Atlanta. In addition, I paid $4K less than the best price I found in Atlanta! Service like this is well worth the effort and drive. I would recommend the Benson Automotive group to anyone that values price and service!

While searching online I visited the Benson Nissan website. I was looking at lower end priced cars. I saw an advertisement for a trade of $4000 guaranteed. When I clicked on the ad, I was directed to the new car inventory. There were no terms nor restrictions listed. I called the dealership and spoke with a salesman. He said things like I was "approved to come in and do a test drive" and that I would not be purchasing the car but purchasing the "payment". I again expressed to him that I was interested in the trade of $4000 guaranteed and was interested in the dollar amount of the vehicle, not the "payment". He told me that was above his pay grade and would call me the next morning. The next morning he called to tell me that they would not honor the ad and do a $4000 trade in on a lower end car and that I needed to find the terms in the fine print of the ad. He spoke to me with an attitude and tone that was unkind and totally unnecessary. Needless to say, I will not EVER do any type business with this dealership.

I had reviewed lot of used trucks on Car.com and was able to select what fit my needs and price range before going to the dealership . Called and made an appointment to see and test drive the truck. I had contact with several sellmen and all were knowledgable and helpfull. They were also helpful getting truck to my home.

I called and told a salesman what I was looking for. We live about 30 miles away, he got our info and told us to come by so we hurried after work to get there. When we get there they would not even appraise out trade in, he just said well the banks are closed so we will call you. Then why in the hell were we told to come up here. Then we recieved all kinds of letters for denials, like 5 different places which screwed with my credit. Thanks for nothing.

I really needed a new car but knew i was probably not in a good situation with the car I needed to trade in. But they gave me a fair price and really helped me out on my trade to make things right. I visited another Nissan dealer before coming here and they were very negative about my trade, but these guys understood my situation and took care of me. And my salesperson was extremely knowledgable, and he sent me Christmas card! Definitely ask for William if you go there!
