My first time at the new Subaru building—really awesome space. Love the technology upgrades like the electronic tire analyzers as you drive in. Also love how the space design welcomes guests in areas beyond just the traditional waiting room. I enjoyed my vanilla latte, too. But best of all, Shawn Cain provided an exceptional experience. Of course, everyone at Subaru is always kind and helpful, but Shawn does his job with a high level of passion and shows a truly genuine interest in helping customers. Kudos to Shawn and the whole team! You all live out the Subaru "LOVE."

Chris was knowledgeable about the car and was very easy to work with. The entire process from start to finish was very easy going and never stressful. The finance department was also great. He presented me with numerous options and the best prices for those options. He never pressured me into anything and made it very simple to understand how things were priced out. Great service experience! Dealership contacted me proactively regarding a recall that may include my vehicle, and I was scheduled within a few days to come into service. Though my vehicle ultimately was not included the recall, I was assured when scheduling the appointment that the part was ready on-site and could be replaced within the hour while I waited if needed. Avoid this dealership at all costs. My husband I purchased our first Acura from Luther Bloomington in early October 2016. While we are thrilled to have a new (to us) car, we will NEVER return to Luther. After finding the car online, we visited the dealership to test drive, and possibly purchase, the vehicle. Scott, the salesman we spoke with, got the keys and told us it was on the lot - we could find it ourselves. Eventually, Scott did help rectify some minor concerns we had on the car, but otherwise did nothing "above and beyond" to close the sale. He made no effort to get to know us, as buyers or as people, at all. After deciding to move forward with the purchase (begrudgingly - the right used car, at a place that would prove to be the wrong location), we met with Kyle Nenovich. This individual was rude and a liar - he intentionally misled us multiple times throughout our interaction with him. He sat us down and offered us "the lowest possible interest rate" available. When we said we had been pre-approved for a much lower rate (about half of what he quoted), he was "shocked" we could find a rate that low, but said we should still sign his loan offer, and then refinance it at our bank. When we said we didn't want to refinance because of the associated time and costs, he told there were "absolutely no fees associated with taking out a loan or refinancing one." He then told us there would be a $75 fee to take out a loan with them, which is "a very common fee for any loan or refinancing." When we refused to accept his plan (high interest with him; refinance later), he easily found another rate much closer to what our bank offered in order to keep the sale.Kyle then tried to sell us on the add-on packages, to expand our warranties and care - including a package that would protect us, amongst other things, from "acid rain damage." His explanations of these protection packages were incomprehensible and rushed, and when my husband attempted to ask even one question, Kyle was unable to answer. We declined the add-on packages, and it was like a flip switched. My only guess is that Kyle (who I would assume makes a commission off these financing rates and extra add-ons) became upset because we came in with a knowledge base and understanding of what we wanted. His answers became terse and his pace quickened. This rushed pace led to sloppy work: Kyle then finished completing our loan paperwork... for the first time. He subsequently had me sign paperwork that he then had to shred 3 times before (on the fourth try), he got it right. Wrong interest rate; wrong bank; wrong information. When I asked for my copy of the corrected form at one point, he said, "Oh, you don't need that. They're all the same." The last time that he screwed it up, Kyle actually had to call us to come BACK to the dealership after we had left with our new car. Our troubles did not stop there - we were unable to register the car for over 3 weeks, despite Kyle assuring us that we had "everything we needed" when we walked off the lot. He provided NO information about receiving the title or our next steps, despite me asking. I had to email the business manager several times over the next 3 weeks because of missing paperwork, and then only received the title (which was supposed to be mailed immediately after the sale) via overnight shipping when I threatened to contact my attorney. (After being lied to multiple times about it being "in the mail.")We also had to send multiple emails to obtain a check that Kyle promised to send to reimburse us for the gas we had to purchase as soon as we drove off the lot (since they did not fill the tank) - they initially sent a check that was not signed, and then sent a check for an amount less than promised. We attempted to contact the general manager three times via email about our multiple issues; we never heard from him. At best, I would describe Luther Bloomington Acura Subaru as sloppy and unprofessional; at worst, they are deceitful and rude. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

If I could I would give these guys a -5 stars! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible place to take your beloved Subaru. I know they'll hate this review because of how true it is. The service center there sucks a$$. You ask for "Full Synthetic 5W30 Engine Oil" and they put in "Regular 5w30 Engine Oil". Instead of admitting fault and redoing the job, their mechanics will argue their point and tell you that the regular stuck will still work just fine for your car. Oh and yes the mysterious oil leaks that they claim to find but when you take your car home and check for yourself.. no oil leaks whatsoever. I even had our family mechanic lift my car up to check and no leaks found either. They said this at every other oil change I got from them. One night after I received the oil change, my CEL came on FLASHING. The mechanic said that it came in that way. Bullsh#t! I was the one that even turned the engine on for the service tech to get the mileage on my car before the service and no lights were flashing then. The manager on duty told me that it was my issue and that there was nothing that they could have possibly done to cause those lights to flash. I contacted the main manager Lisa and it was no win situation. She said she was confident about her service crews's opinions and judgements that night and would stand behind them. She offered to have my car fully tested to see what the issue was and so that she could see it for herself. I declined because i wasn't going to risk having my car tampered with again by unprofessionals and that I trusted my family mechanic more because he lifted up my car and walked me through any areas that oil could be leaking from and we did not find any traces of oil. Stay away from their service center. from reading all of the other bad reviews, I see that I am not the only one that received their bad service. I hope Karma comes back around.

Looked at 3 vehicles. A 2014 Honda Crosstour EX-L, a 2017 Forester Limited, and a 2016 Outback Limited w/Eyesight. Amy and Mark were very helpful and patient (I brought many questions). They provided valet quality service during our test drives encouraging us (my wife and I) to take as long a drives as needed. We liked the Crosstour and the Forester very much but loved the Outback. When we qualified for the Subaru special financing that was currently being offered, and after looking at the numbers it made sense for us to go with the Outback. And it certainly helped that the price was rated by TrueCar (from Consumer Reports) as being between Good and Great. Made the choice, came in the next day took care of the additional offers (extended warranty, undercoating, etc. to which we mostly declined), information on the various features of the vehicle and of course, the down payment and financing paperwork. Took about 3 hours which might seem like a lot but actually a little over 2 hrs was 'new car/owner trainging'. There are lots of electronic bell & whistles! Overall a very smooth and hassle free experience.

Just purchased my third car here. My dearly departed car died on the expressway (don't ignore your oil light) and dealership couldn't have been more helpful. They gave me a loaner. They didn't complain about the doghair. There was no pressure and I felt like they treated me with a lot of respect. I shopped alone without my husband and I'm over 60 and there was zero paternalism. Best of all subarus are made with love. The service has been very good especially over the last year or so.

We bought our second vehicle from this dealership and cannot be more pleased with our experience. We bought our first car two years ago and had a really good experience. We have also used their car service. We bought our second vehicle, an SUV last month from the same sales person because we were so satisfied with this dealership, and especially Tony Russell who was our sales representative. We never thought that we would be writing about how much we trust our car sales representative, but here we are saying it for a second time. Tony was great about getting us the information we wanted, follow up and our car came sooner than we expected with very few miles on it. Our finance representative was good too and the dealership gave us a better finance package than our credit union. Overall a great experience and we're glad to find a dealership that we could trust, with staff who are so professional and knowledgeable.

Wow I love these guys! They promised me my hard to find 2016 World Rally Blue STI with all the options I wanted, none I didn't, and they delivered it early with only 5 miles on it. It does not get any better than that. My salesman Jake Dunham did a great job the whole way. He informed me of all the key dates such as build date, ship date,... Kyle and Dylan did a great job with the financing. Overall I can't say enough great things.These guys are outstanding.

Even though we came to him with a fixed price on the car through a Subaru VIP program, I never felt that Anatoliy was trying to upsell us or rush to work with other clients, which was very appreciated. I look forward to our next opportunity to work with Anatoliy.In finance, I worked with Kyle Nenovich who completed the final sale. I wasn't planning to purchase any protection options. Kyle walked through the options quickly but did a good job explaining their benefits. He offered me a good deal on some packages. I ended up buying most of them and am happy with the extra peace of mind.

My experience with Jake (sales) and the finance guys/closers was positive in all regards. Jake was more low key than overly aggressive-a good thing. He was more interested in explaining pros and cons of the cars and helping me make the buying decision. Knew his stuff and did a good job in presenting the vehicles. Finance staff were competent and easy to work with. Subarus can pretty well sell themselves but the staff made the decision easy.

We purchased our first new car at Luther Bloomington Subaru. I spent many months researching the Outback. I did not need anyone to "sell" me on the car. I just wanted to have a conversation with someone that could answer the questions I had and give me the best price available. I literally talked to all dealerships within 100 miles of my home. Justine Melchior was the only sales person that did not pressure me into making a purchase before I was ready. She was always helpful, answered any questions we had and made purchasing a new car stress free! We drove an extra 30 miles to make the purchase from Justine. We were also very happy with Bryon Fagen who helped us with the finance paperwork. We highly recommend both Justine and Byron.

Worst place ever! I own a 2008 Subaru Legacy GT and brought my car there for regualr oil changes. The first time they screwed up and gave me regular (5w 30) oil instead of Full Synthetic. The mechanic was being a jerk and told me my car would be fine but that's beyond the point. The next few times they kept telling me I had multiple oil leaks that required attention. I took my car to my family mechanic to check this out and no oil leaks were to be found. My mechanic lifted my car up on the riser and we looked all over for an oil leak, it must've been an imaginary leak. Even the manager their will try and use your own words against you. Terrible! They really know how to treat their loyal customers like crap. Thanks for nothing.

I want to reiterate my opinion of the service department at Bloomington Acura as still outstanding. I have been using them since 2004. The only thing to know is that Buerkle Acura nearby charges less for service. Example: OW-20 and filter $45.00 and $62.00 at Bloomington. My 2004 TSX needs more extensive service soon quoted at $900.00 and nearly $1200.00 at Bloomington. Here is my recent experience on 3/6/2016 buying a new TLX at Bloomington Acura. My sales associate Anatoliy Kamenov was very professional and in general had my best interest in mind but only if it directed me into buying a car on their lot, understandable I guess. With that in mind I received outstanding service. However, when I said I wanted a black car with espresso interior he said that build wasn't an option. Gee, I just built and found it online sitting in Illinois. Did he not know the configurations or did he fib? I was then on my toes about what else he might be off about. I then asked what type of fuel was recommended and he said 87 octane. I already knew the Acura recommended fuel was 91 octane. What is the point of telling me that? In the end I found a car I liked on the lot in Black Copper Pearl with Parchment interior so all is good to this point. I was an easy sell because I already decided I wanted a TLX and Bloomington Acura had a configuration on the lot that worked for me. Next came the Finance Manager Kyle Nenovich. Watch out for Kyle, he is slippery. For reference I don't buy extended service contracts, that is unless the numbers are worth it to me. In this case I did buy the 10 year/100,000 mile extended bumper to bumper warranty. Why? Because he bundled it with an oil change plan. For $400.00 I get oil changes every 7500 miles for 10 years or 100,000 miles. He then told me the car required pure synthetic oil with changes costing $100.00 each. That means I can get 13 oil changes if I stay on schedule. That is a $900.00 value that I subtracted from the cost of the extended warrantee making buying the extended service contract worth it to me. The problem is that when I called Acura's service department later that day they quoted me $62.00 for the Acura recommended OW-20 oil changes, Buerkle Acura charges $45.00. Also, after reading the manual, the car's computer calculates when you need service and it isn't only by mileage. The maintenance minder calculates the health of your oil based on a variety of driving conditions and it could end up requiring oil changes anywhere from 2500 miles to 12,000 miles. So how does that oil deal agreement line up with how the car is to be serviced at all? What do I do if the computer tells me to change the oil at 5000 miles...change it again at 7500 miles just to get what I bought? No, this whole deal sucked because the value of the offer wasn't calculable by mileage along with the $100.00 oil change lie that was really $62.00. I was quite hot about this for a few days but I have cooled off about it now and blame some of it on my ignorant self. All in all, I got the car I went in for within a few hours of the morning I arrived from a likeable perhaps artfully minded sales associate. I have also come to the decision that if I could tear up the extended service contract and oil change plan because of the miss representation I probably wouldn't. Now, if Kyle the slippery finance guy with a CC education is reading. Your slippery tactics are going to cost you. I did my protection packages for the new TLX elsewhere. You lose your offer. I have service scheduled on my 2004 TSX that will total nearly $1200.00. I'm doing it Buerkle Acura. I have a life time oil change contract at your location on my 2004 TSX that I will use until I can't give the car away. I can choose to do all my costly maintenance at Buerkle Acura for both my new and old Acura's and only do the freebie oil changes with you. You see how that works? And I am only one customer. You are lucky I wrote this nice of a review and really lucky if I don't post my experience to the six floors of IT professionals I lead located 3 miles from your dealership.The lesson learned. Know what you want and read the manual. Know what it cost the dealer and work up from there. If an offer comes up that you don't know the facts about pause and verify. Bloomington Acura will at the very least fib and/or leave out crucial information when dealing with you.

I have been having a complicated issue with a check engine light on my 2012 Outback. I have had the vehicle at 4 different repair facilities, including two other dealerships. I finally brought it to Bloomington Subaru, walked in frustrated and they totally turned that around. They got the issue diagnosed in a reasonable amount of time, gave me an estimate that was very fair, got it fixed in way less time than I had been expected and the estimate was spot on. Everyone I dealt with from the service managers down to the shuttle drivers and car washers treated me like I had brought in a luxury car and made me feel welcome. Kudos to Bloomington Acura!!!

Drove a Forester for 10 years (not from this dealer) and had several recommendations to them, including Costco. Went in "cold" and were treated so warmly -- a no haggle, truly "how can we help you get what YOU want" experience the night we went in. We committed by handshake to a car due for delivery in ~two weeks. On the pick-up day, both our sales rep, Ross Stettner, and the Sales manager, Noah Joseph, went above and beyond in giving us a fair price for the trade (which they hadn't seen before), and got our paperwork done fast. I had just flown two red-eyes home and was getting to eyes glazing over, so Ross did a great "here's the basics you need to know" on all the Forester's new features (including eyesight!), and scheduled a time for me to stop back when I was more rested for the real car intro. He has been a valuable "partner" and truly, this is the best car buying experience I have had in the past 3 decades!

Scheduled an appointment because my 2016 WRX navigation system stopped working. After an short time, maybe a mile or two, the error message "Autodetecting GPS Receiver..." would pop-up and the system would stop updating current position. The problem first happened the morning of 2/25/16 and continued throughout the weekend (4 days). Monday morning when I went to take the vehicle in, the system starting working again. When I checked in at the service center, the customer service representative, and later the manager, claimed they had never heard of such a problem. I mentioned that several reports of this very problem were posted on the web to which they replied that I should not believe everything on the web. I showed them a photo of the navigation unit displaying the error message but they insisted that not much could be done. They suggested that it may have been a GPS satellite network problem. If you have a flat tire, these guys might be just fine. Any issue that requires some legitimate troubleshooting, go somewhere else.

I walked into the dealership on a Monday morning, found the car I wanted, traded my truck and was on the road with my new car by noon. Derek was most courteous, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process. Trish Clancy provided useful, customer-oriented advice on our choice of options for our 2016 Subaru Outback and placed an order for a custom build, which took about 6 weeks. She provided info on extended warranty and interior/exterior treatments, but didn't pressure us to buy all of them, which has been our prior experience with other dealerships. Finally, paperwork and deal closing proceeded smoothly and efficiently. An excellent Subaru purchase experience. I had been having car issues for many months and had been dreading the idea of buying a new car. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to afford anything and did not understand the process. Whether I was ready or not, my car died on me last Tuesday in the parking lot - just 2 hours before I was supposed to pick up our vice president of our company from the airport. I had to decide if I wanted to rent a car for the week and get my car fixed, or if it was time to pull the trigger on a new car. When I arrived at the Bloomington Acura Subaru dealership, I was stressed to the max. Mory came up to me and walked me through the benefits of purchasing a used car or a new car. He ran the numbers for me on all the options, and then ran the benefits/numbers for leasing a car. I couldn't have felt more comfortable and at peace with my decision after he helped me. The atmosphere was relaxed and the company seemed less interested in selling vehicles than ensuring I was being taken care of.I asked about the Subaru and purchasing one. I asked about when I could get the best deal. They were very honest and told me, there was no deal to be had. There was no inventory. If I wanted to buy now that was great, but if I wanted to wait, that would be great too. The problem was, they couldn't keep them in stock.Even so, they marked $4,000 off of the price when all was said and done. They did that just because they appreciated my business. Wonderful people are difficult to find. And, this dealership has the most.

I've had my TSX since 2004 and have been procrastinating about purchasing a new TLX. After test driving the TLX 4 and V6 and also considering the ILX, I finally decided on the TLX and which options I wanted to have. My experience at Bloomington Acura Subaru was absolutely great. We came in looking for an MDX but realized that we would be happier with the smaller RDX. We came into the dealership on a Saturday asking for someone in Acura sales--it took them 10 minutes to find someone. I can't remember his name--but he was a short guy with a TLX polo on. He may not have been a salesman--I don't know, but he had a milquetoast personality.We drove the TLX on a silent test drive--none of the features were explained to us. It was perhaps the worst test drive I've ever been on. We told him that we would meet him inside. Went inside and saw him but he was working with another employee on something and refused to pay attention to us.In sum, womp womp to Acura Subaru of Bloomington.

I had a leased Subaru and hadn't finished the term but my hours at work got cut so something had to give. I called my dealer to tell him my situation and he worked with me to get me into a car I love but at less expense. He went out of his way to make sure I walked away happy from the transaction and I really did. I was able to purchase a slightly older Subaru Outback with really low miles and turned my lease in with no penalty. The maintenance people did a bunch of work on the car before selling it to me so now most major things are taken care of for a while. I would definitely use this dealer and this dealership again and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I know. [In fact, this is my 4th Subaru from them.]

Recently I laid my Acura MDX to rest. I had reservations about going with the same make as it was a slightly premature death. I was unimpressed with BMW (yes it happens). Too much money for the same things I enjoyed in my MDX (tech package, nab, sound system etc...) I went to Acura as I had always thought about possibly replacing my MDX with the slightly smaller RDX. Needless to say the road test was like coming home. It was a quiet, comfortable ride. What really was the selling point was the accommodating staff and. in particular, the understanding and incredibly patient sales person Michael Rappaport. I am a difficult buyer to say the least. He seemed to understand what my constraints were and managed to work within them. I walked away with a nearly new car (2015 with some mileage) and the full support of staff there from the financial man who didn't"handle" me to the service staff that followed up with great detail as to some of the concerns I had. This was, by far, the best experience I had in buying a vehicle. What really sealed it was afterwards. Great attention to making sure the packages I wanted were applied to the vehicle. On the test drive with Amy I was shown how every thing works and what assessories I can add to my Forester later on. I'm very pleased with the car, especially the visibility out the windows. Great customer service with no pressure! Showed me exactly what I was looking for- did not try to talk me into a new vehicle. Mike spent time showing me all the upgrades on the car that I might not have noticed & took as much time as I needed. While Jacob worked on the paperwork, (he is another great employee) Mike showed me how to program the music stations and set up my cell phone with a test call. He said to return at any time with questions on GPS or other new features I needed help with. When I came back two days later he showed me more technology to help me get started. Good car-buying experience! This is the 4th car my family has purchased from this dealership.

Michael made my experience one of a kind. He was laid back with no pressure. He made me feel real comfortable all while answering every question I had. When it came to the financing they did everything they could to help me get the best rate possible. I was real comfortable with the price I paid. I didn't feel like he was just trying to make money off of me but was actually concerned with my well being. The lobby was nice and comfortable, I felt right at home. He kept us informed as vehicles came to the lot that he thought we may be interested in and was prompt in responding. I was in need of a newer vehicle (not by choice) Did a little online hunting and contacted dealership to come test it out. I was greeted personally by phone from Mike, who told me to come on in. He had the Envoy ready and waiting for me right at the door (not out in the lot somewhere). I loved it and Mike got me rolling in the process to take it home. Average wait time, as I know its a lengthy process. I had one issue during the test drive, and Mike made an appt this week to get it rectified. Its all done and Awesome! I had talked with both Bronwyn & Shirl before we knew when we wanted to buy. On a bitterly cold day I stopped in to see how well a 2015 Forrester would start. Bronwyn went out with me and went over what features were standard and which were upgrades. One model had not been driven for a long time and did not start- she explained that if it's left out more than a day at >-10F the battery should have a heater. She offered to have that car prepped so I could drive it on a future visit. When we decided to go ahead and actively search Bronwyn had lists of cars both in stock an in transit. Although we were not in a rush, a car with 1800+ miles was available for a better deal and we bought it. The process of going over options and trading in my beloved '06 Forrester took awhile, but the lounge had plenty of beverages and snacks available. I feel comfortable calling with questions as they come and have had 9 years of great service at Bloominton Acura Subaru!

I owned a new Subaru in 1985 and drove it until I needed more room and moved up to a minivan and pickup. My last minivan was 10 years old and I decided to downsize. Since I had previously owned a Subaru and was quite satisfied with it, I decided that a Subaru would be my first new car since 1995. I stopped by at Bloomington Subaru in November and was greeted by Tony Russell., but with all the holiday activities, did not get back out to test drive an Outback until January. I thought I would have to order one, but really needed it before the end of February, but as luck would have it, a new one had been delivered that day and the person who had ordered it apparently found a different one. It was the color I would have ordered but was loaded with much more than I would have ordered. Tony was able to work out a lease agreement that was favorable to me and now I am a happy owner of a new Outback.Art Caple

As always the Luther family of dealerships deliver. My wife and I walked in knowing exactly what we wanted. Michael Rappaport (the dealer we worked with) had the car waiting for us with the keys in it as soon as we arrived. He answered all of our questions honestly and treated very fairly. It was obvious from the start that Michael's primary goal was to make sure we were completely happy. He gave us what we felt was a fair price on our trade in and after the test drive we sealed the deal. My only complaint is that the paper work process was a long wait time, almost an hour to be exact before we even met with the financing person. That being said, Michael Rappaport and Luther really stepped up for us and delivered a fantastic buying experience that was fair and stress free. Thanks again!

I scheduled a time to pick-up my new 2014 RLX Sport/Hybrid. My sales person said the paperwork in finance would take about 45 minutes and then he would spend as much time as we would like being oriented to the new features of our car.Upon arriving we asked at the desk for our salesperson, Chad. After being paged, he saw us from his cubicle and waved. In another 10 minutes he came by and said he was busy with another customer but would be back shortly. After waiting 55 minutes Chad came back. He said there were ONLY TWO customers ahead of us in finance so it wouldn't be long.45 minutes later we got into the finance office where the paperwork was handled efficiently. When we stepped out of the office we looked for Chad. After finding him we asked to be put in our car so we could drive home. We'll get our orientation from the manuals!!!

Thinking about buying a new outback was already giving me a headache coz I have to deal with pushy dealers. By the way this is my 3rd time to buy a new Subaru. The first was Legacy and drove it for 17 years and finally gave it away as it won't quit then I bought a new Forester and it's been 10 years and I'm still driving it. I emailed Ross Stettner 2 months before actually going to Bloomington Subaru. My experience was the opposite. He was very professional and helpful. When I pickup my Outback he took time explaining almost everything I need to know about my new car(I don't know if I remembered everything he said but I can call him if I have questions). I got a fantastic service from him and will definitely recommend Ross to everybody.

After owning my previous car for seventeen long years and driving it until I knew I had to get a new one, we went to Bloomington Acura Subaru. We have purchased vehicles from Bloomington Acura before and knew we wanted to go back again. Michael Rappaport was our sales person who helped us and we could not have been happier working with him! Mike listened to what we were thinking about and looking for in a new "used" car and then proceeded to tell us and show us what they had for us. They allowed us to test drive many cars which really aided us in our decision. Even though it took us a few visits to the dealership and lot to finally make our final decision, Mike was always there to help us and answer our questions. Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable and not "hurried" to make our decision. We finally decided on a 2010 Mazda3 Sport that they had on their lot. Even though it wasn't an Acura product,, which we own for our other vehicle (and LOVE it!), we felt it was the best choice for us at the time. Mike made the purchasing procedure simple and easy, and even after the purchase a few months ago, Mike is still in contact with us to make sure everything is okay with our new "used" car we bought. We love both the vehicles we have purchased from Bloomington Acura, a 2002 Acura MDX and the 2010 Mazda3. The people and the service at this dealership is top notch. As a single woman, I was not excited about the process of purchasing a new vehicle. I do not enjoy dealing with car salesmen. I did online research first and narrowed my choices for a vehicle, options, and dealerships. We spent around two months searching online visiting other dealerships looking for a new Subaru Impreza for our family. I began pricing between between this dealership and St. Cloud's. We worked with Peter Kirby from their online team and he was able to help us get the best pricing we could get, a fair trade in price, and efficient service.During the entire process, any time we had a question (mainly through email) he responded within a day of the initial query. I bought my first RDX. The experience was very pleasant. Edward was great to work with. He was attentive to our needs. He put together a fair trade for our other vehicles. I just purchased my second MDX in 5 years from Edward at Bloomington Acura. I did shop other makes of cars but kept coming back to the MDX. I am married but do my own car shopping and have always been treated with respect when coming to the dealership whether to buy or just for service. They always go above and beyond what I would expect. I have owned BMW before and there service and sales were far below what I receive at Bloomington Acura. As for my MDX I was hesitant about buying another because of the reviews of the split screen. Edward went through every detail of the car and when I left I was ready to take advantage of all the options in the vehicle. I have to say I LOVE the split screen. There are two screens in the car and the one shows you information you have chosen and the other is for choosing your settings and information. I don't know how it could be made more simple. I would be leary of having a vehicle that tried to put all of this in one screen, I dont know how they could do it without it be confusing and a distraction from driving. If you are in the market for a SUV you need to check out the MDX. I bought it because of recommendations from friends and have convinced others to buy it because of my great experience.

From the moment I walked through the door till the moment I walked out I felt unwelcomed. We came in the show room full of unencumbered employees and were not greeted by one. We stepped up to help desk to be told that "our dealers do not approach" "they wait for you to approach them" Her tone was very disrespectful. *I should state that I have had work done at this dealers service department, and it was Top Notch! That is why I stayed. We were told to walk around the corner. The used and new sales departments were not clearly marked. The sales floor was unappealing. The dealer that I worked with took 5 or more phone calls while we were working with him, one time I believe he said that he needed to take this call. At one point he answered his phone as I was asking a question. I felt completely unwelcomed and decided to take my business elsewhere. I will make sure to tell friends and family to stay clear of this dealership.

Overall the process for purchasing a new car was very easy. The quote for my old car was very good, which was a key factor in deciding to go with Bloomington Acura. The sales person was not pushy and did a very nice job of making sure the price of the car and all the additional items I purchased were spelled out and I clearly understood how the final price of the vehicle was determined. However, my experience with the team of subaru was INCREDIBLE. Browywn was fabulous, i felt very at ease and at no moment felt pressure to purchase. She spoke to us in terms that were easily understand, nothing was too broad or wide to go over our heads. Everyone was really friendly, at times, i wondered if this was a dream! She introduced to each department in case we ever needed to come back and everyone was warm and welcomed me to the Subaru family with wide open arms. I would suggest this dealership to any locals that are interested in a Subaru. I checked out my employer's employee buying service to see which local Subaru dealers it worked with and what kind of prices I could expect. I inadvertently sent out a request to a pair of Subaru dealers before I intended to. Both answered, but Dylan Duffy of Bloomington Subaru answered first. He quickly quoted me good prices and was ready to reserve a car for me. After taking a couple of days to choose a color and options, my wife and I got in touch with Dylan again and reserved a Crosstrek hybrid. The car was ready to be picked up about a week later. We spent about 2.5 hours at the dealership. We traded in a 2004 Outback, so part of the time was spent in checking out the old car. Also, the dealership was quite busy that night. However, everyone was very solicitous and offered us comfortable chairs and coffee. Once Dylan was freed up and had seen to the processing of our trade-in, we completed the paperwork and Dylan gave us a thorough tutorial on the new car, particularly its electronics. He synched my cell phone with the car and even ran me through the process of adding a couple of phone numbers in the car's speed dial. All in all it was an enjoyable experience that left us with a good impression of the dealership and particularly of Dylan.

I want of a new vehicle and had my eye on the RDX. Since I have been a customer there for over 12 years I asked Randy (service dept) who should I go see since I trusted him. He referred me to Amy Anderson. I purchased the RDX the same day and since it was just taken off the truck I had to wait a couple of days. I was disappointed in how much they gave me for my vehicle but it did have over 200,000 miles on it and yes it was an acura. Over the next couple of days I added some extras to the vehicle and spoke with Amy everyday. If she wasn't available when I called she called me back promptly. I was suppose to pick up the vehicle on Thursday morning at 9:00, but since we were going to get bad weather I called on Wednesday and asked if we could close on the vehicle that day. Amy was off that day and another employe called Amy and she was willing to come in on her day off. That just tells you she takes her job seriously and goes out of her way to please her customers. Also, being I was picking it up a day earlier they didn't think they would get everything done on the vehicle that needed to be done, in which I was fine with as I was picking it up earlier. I arrived around 5 p.m. to close on the vehicle and Amy was there waiting. I drove off with my new vehicle about 2 hours later completely understand what everything did inside and out. I couldn't ask for better service from anyone that I dealt with from the receptionist, to the finance advisor and especially AMY ANDERSON!!!! Thank you so much!!!

Had open recall on my Subaru Legacy. Called to make a service appt to apply a coating on the rear brakes (recall). The recall notice said it would take 20 min to an hour to do. Bloomington Subaru said I had to drop off the car because the "coating needed 6-7 hours to dry". Bullsh-t. So I called Walter Subaru in Burnsville, they said it would take 30 min-1 hr, drove in an hour later, I was in and out in 17 min. A nice Walter Subaru employee explained the coating was Propane based, so it dried very quickly. I will never do any service at Bloomington Acura Subaru.

I had a great experience shopping at Bloomington Acura Subaru and working with Dylan Duffy. He made a great effort to vet out what I really wanted, show me some alternatives to what I had in mind, was flexible with pricing where he could be, and above all else was willing to work with me past closing rather than rush through the process. After my initial visit, test drive, and quotes I returned a few days later to finalize a sale on a 2014 Impreza Sport Limited and am thoroughly satisfied. Aside from the salesmanship and the shiny new ride, the finance department was able to setup a loan that matched what my bank was offering which was very competitive. Overall, I would definitely recommend shopping here.

Dealership itself was fine. Kind of bummed out at the low offer for my trade - but was able to get a slightly better price after some bargaining. Car was exactly as expected. Acura itself took a long time to deliver the car which was not this dealer's fault. Dealership seemed like it needed an update building-wise but heard they are having a remodel. The receptionists were very kind. Price of car was "ok" since there was really no going down on price- was new model vehicle- MDX 2014.

My past experience has been " grand". The reason I rate Bloomington Acura and now Dylan Duffy so highly is that Dylan responded right away to my internet request. I found him personable and knowledgeable about the cars. He was not high pressure and treated me with respect. He spent time educating me about the car in an interesting way that made me want to find out more about it. He made himself available every time I had a question and created an atmosphere of ease. He spent as much time as I needed orienting me to the specifics of the car, of which there are many, and has offered to take it in steps so that I can absorb the many details..My experience couldn't have been better and I know my relationship with Dylan and Acura service will continue to be great. Dylan should be recommended as an example of how to provide a good experience for customers and how to sell cars in a way that keeps someone like me coming back to buy car after car. As a returning customer to Bloomington Acura, and loyal Acura fun (have owned 7 Acuras in the last 10+ years) I didn't feel the customer service and quality of work were not up-to-par with the excellent treatment I've always received from Acura and from this dealership. It took several days to have my car detailed and clean to look like a brand new car. Additionally the process of getting some accessories for my new vehicle was not as smooth as I was led to believe.

The morning of October 15th, I was hit by a school bus while sitting at a stop sign in front of my home. My 2002 Honda Civic was totaled. The prior week on Sunday October 6th my sister's son in Omaha NE was hit and run on his motor cycle 2 blocks from his home. My 86 year father was also in an Omaha hospital fighting a serious infection. I had hoped to go to Omaha to be with my family before my accident.My plans changed quickly! When I notified my sister of my accident, she advised me to look into the Subaru Impreza because they were safe vehicles and AWD. I did test drive one but found out they were in high demand, so immediate inventory was low. Then my sister encouraged me to check out the Subaru Legacy because she has wanted one for years. I took steps to help me decide whether I wanted another Honda Civic or to pursue what was possible with the Subaru. I found that Bloomington Acura Subaru had the larger inventory. I had sent an email to several locations for a quote and Dylan Duffy was the most immediate responsive to my request! Dylan has a way of capturing your attention, hes genuine and direct. After a short phone conversation, I made a visit the evening of Friday Oct 18th. My 1st encounter was with the receptionist and she was very helpful in having Noah meet with me while I waited for Dylan Duffy. Dylan and I made plans to meet Saturday morning when you open at 8:30am. I spent the day and by 6pm that night, I had my car. I was pleased with my experience from the beginning to the end. Noah, Dylan and Byron were very gracious, personable and professional. They worked with me and helped me in a tough situation. Under these circumstances was not how I had planned to purchase my next new car. Noah & Dylan were kind, very supportive and helpful. For the close of my day Dylan even took time from his family and helped me pare my phone and understand the dash options while his wife was waiting in the parking lot for him! My husband and I bought a new RDX here over labor day weekend and while overall we like the car the service provided by the dealership and in particular the service department has been wretched. Last weekend the side wall of one of the tires blew out. After calling Acura TLC the car was towed to the service department where I had called, as I was instructed, to tell them I was coming in with a flat tire. When I got there and unfortunately I didn't get his name, a very rude employee in a grey sweater told me that since I didn't have an appointment they likely wouldn't be able to help me until at least Monday. I didn't realize that other people schedule their flat tires but apparently at Bloomington Acura-Subaru they do. When I asked if loaner car would be available then because this was the only car I had access to as my husband was out of town he scoffed and said we don't have any of those left. Thankfully the wonderful tow truck driver, Alex, from Bobby and Steve's was still there and shared that since this was only a flat tire they could get me in and out in under 40 minutes. I shared that with my friend in the grey sweater and his response was a condescending "good". After sharing my concerns with Acura Corporate and the General Manager of the dealership, who took several days to even respond. He shared he listed to the "service call recording" and he was sorry that they didn't direct me to come in to the service center. Clearly he didn't even bother to read the email or he would have understood that I was in the service center and that's where the issue occurred. Needless to say we will not be visiting this dealership or service center again as we would rather drive across town and out of our way for service as opposed to having to deal with such poor customer service again. Unfortunately this was a couple hundred dollar lesson that we had to learn.

Paul, our sales person when to work to find one around the country. He didn't try to sale us an in stock car like other dealers did. With the help of the sales manage Paul was able to find 2 in the country. The first one we when after was not available. I worked with a number of people at Bloomington Subaru. My first visit was with Bronwyn, she took me through the different trim levels and the colors that were available. My second visit was with Mark Rosenthal who broke down the costing. Then I met with Ford and he helped my wife and I narrow down the decision. He even suggested that we go to the Honda store across the highway. So we did. We drove the Crv and it became clear to me which car we would buy. We came back and drove the Outback and as we drove back to the dealership I was thinking, I wonder how many test drives at the Honda store close sales at the Subaru store. Then I got on line and went to work. It became very clear to me who was working for our business. I got on the Costco web site and made two phone calls. The salesman was very good at listening to what we wanted in a car. He had us drive two cars that he had and referred us to the Honda dealer to drive a CRV as a comparison. We originally were looking at the Acura RDX. He explained the significant differences between the older RDX models and the new 2013 model. We drove that. Then he showed us the Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited and had us drive that. We were referred to the dealership by Costco. The salesman showed us the pricing for Costco on the models we considered and explained some of the offers that were available. We were interested in a particular color which had been discontinued, of the Subaru Outback and he found one available in the Twin Cities and said he would trade for it. He then sent us to Honda to test drive the CRV. We did that the next day. We decided on the Subaru and he arranged delivery on the next Monday. I appreciated the honesty and thoroughness of the salesman as he had to explain the head gasket issue with earlier Subarus. The day of delivery we got through the paperwork and financing and then Ford took us out to a beautifully detailed Subaru and explained all of its features. He sync'ed the iPhone and showed me how to preset the radios and explained the Navigation system. I am thrilled with the car and really enjoyed the buying experience, especially because there was no haggling. This Luther dealership is one I would want to buy another car from, very courteous and customer focused. I will highly recommend them to my friends.

Mory was stellar in his professional and friendly communication, information at hand , working on my financial needs and timing every step of the way. In particular Mory walked me through the initial set of of the new bluetooth and sound system of my new Outback, a new technology to me. Terrible service, perhaps because I'm female. My husband has no issues, but every time (6 times now) I take the car in, it either costs me more than they quote my husband or takes WAY longer than intially quoted to me. The last straw: scheduled an appt for an oil change and after checking me in and letting me sit in the lobby for 30 min, they come over and tell me my appt isn't until 3 days from then. For anything other than Acura-specific maintenence, I'll go elsewhere, everytime.

Peter responded to my Email inquiry about an Impreza. I contacted Subaru because I needed an all-wheel drive car. We corresponded, with him answering my questions promptly and patiently, until we arranged for a convenient test drive. I did not feel comfortable in the Impreza (being used to driving a Ford Fusion)so he suggested the Legacy, surprising me with the excellent low gas consumption. He found a Legacy for me with the features and color I preferred and drove to another dealer to get it. He handled the whole transaction, including the USAA price, in a very efficient and friendly manner.He must be one of your star salesmen!

I have nothing but good things to say about Bloomington Acura/Subaru. I have purchased 4 cars from this dealer, 2 Subaru Outbacks, 1 Acura TL, and a Subaru Forester. For each new purchase the negotiation was fair and reasonable. I would classify the process as "no haggle." However, in each case I was prepared with dealer costs from Consumer Reports. The most recent purchase, the Forester, was made through the Costco program where I was shown the dealer price and cost sheet and was charged $250 over dealer cost (also verified with Consumer Reports). Both TJ and Trish were courteous and returned calles promptly. Both avoided the high pressure tactics common among other dealerships. Although I was offerred the usual add on warranties and post sale options when I declined the subject was promptly dropped. Neither salesperson was offended when it was clear that I was comparing prices and shopping for the best deal. I've read some bad reviews, but perhaps those persons just don't know how to talk respectfully with sales people and created a hostile atmosphere themselves. When I encounter a hostile sales environment at a car dealer I simply walk out. There are lots of alternatives.Service at Bloomington Acura/Subaru is great, although a bit pricey. All my new cars receive dealer service for major mileage points out until about 100k miles. I pay more, but I also am confident of the work done. I perform my own oil changes and minor service repairs. When my cars reach 100K miles and are well out of warranty I use cheaper sources that I trust. With Bloomington Acura/Subaru diagnosis are usually correct, the work is always done on time, there are evening service hours, and I've even received a loaner vehicle for an Acura factory recall repair that took a few days. A nice new Acura TSX, not dirty older car. The service techs explain the work to be done and even allow me to perform the minor parts of a significant repair milestone myself, deducting the items I perform from the bill. There have been a couple of occassions where a Subaru had a "check engine" light that was difficult to diagnose (pollution control sensor issues), and I could have been charged for the diagnosis but was not as there was not a clear indication of what was wrong. I thought that was generous. You may read other reviews that criticize both the new car buying process and the service, but frankly I think these people are cranks. The worst I can say is that they are a bit more expensive than usual. But the product and the services are great.

This is the third car we've bought here. Their web site is a great starting point, the inventory is easy to use and gives a good idea of what's available. It's much better than other local dealers where you can't see the options on a vehicle.Tony provided the right amount of support and information. We never felt pressured and he was very helpful through the whole process.The price was right! Including the value of a 10 year old Outback that we traded in.The only area for improvement is the financing process. It just took too long considering we did an online application a day ahead. It should have been more of 'sign here and thank you very much'.

We have two Subarus - both usually serviced here.The more minor issue is that one of them has a grinding sound when turning right - it has been looked at three times and each time we're told "it's nothing" or "we couldn't hear anything" (when it is clearly audible).The more major one is the other car. We took it in for service and had them look at the right front wheel. We were told the hub was bent and it would be $800 (for the hub and bearing). We asked what could happen if it was left unrepaired and were told "likely lower fuel economy and maybe increased tire wear" (and that's it). Less than 3 weeks later (est <200 miles later), we had to take the car back and are told the hub was coming apart (very dangerous) and that it had damaged the axle, rotor, and ABS sensor (now ~$2000 in repairs). I know strange things happen but given the extremely short time and miles, this was a completely unacceptable outcome (absolutely no mention that the bent hub could be dangerous or that it could lead to other major damage).

Eddie is a good guy to buy from he is very thorough and helpful. I like the fact that the dealership is close to where we live. It is a good place to bye from even if you have to negotiate your best deal, this is not a best price marked on the windshield type dealership. We are return customers.

I would recommend my sales consultant, Jeff Koelmel. All of my dealings with Jeff from the first phone call to the last wave as I pulled out of the parking lot at 6 PM were handled with courtesy and respect. I had test driven many vehicles, including Subarus, at other dealerships before I was referred to Jeff through the Costco program. Even though there were other vehicles that had appeal, I couldn't imagine buying a vehicle from any of those dealerships. Jeff didn't try to "process" me through some predetermined buying pattern. He listened,he heard and he tailored the experience to my needs...not vice versa. The test drive with Jeff was exceptional as he selected a route and opportunities to test and demonstrate the Outback's exceptional handling. It was not the usual "the wheels turn, it goes, it stops, what color and how many dealer added options can I sell you" I had previously experienced. Jeff demonstrated a level of knowledge, courtesy and professionalism that made me want to buy this vehicle from him. While I hope to drive my Outback for many years, if I were looking for another Subaru or Acura in the future I would go to Jeff and Bloomington Acura Subaru first.

I had a very positive experience buying a Subaru Legacy. I test drove the vehicle at 1 dealership and had them appraise my trade-in and give me their best price. I went online and selected 3 dealerships for Internet pricing. All dealerships were basically the same price for the car but Bloomington Subaru gave me the best value by far on my trade-in. My sales person Jeff was fun to work with and made the buying experiencing a positive. He explained all the warranty information, covered pertinent information in the owners manual, and made sure all my questions were answered. I financed the car on-site and it was a breeze. Jeff then brought me to the car and showed me where everything was at on the dash and explained to me how everything worked. He made sure I was comfortable setting up blue tooth, radio etc....I will definitely give Bloomington Subaru another opportunity to earn my business.

I had a specific car in mind to purchase. Trish went above and beyond locating that car for me. She actually drove a car to green bay to do a dealer trade and then drove it back for me. When I picked up the car she programmed my XM radio and homelink for me. Everything went so well. I was very pleased with the service I recieved from them. After the sale, I have had a couple questions and she has been excellent at getting me the information I needed. I would highly recommend them.

My old car was a 2000 Forester and maintenance was performed by the dealer. The maintenance is excellent--courteous, punctual, no problems. Ford Williams was excellent in sales, patiently answering all my questions, no pressure. He's gone out of his way to take care of my needs--installing my Bluetooth system, and taking my old car for detailing while I store it with the dealership.This dealership is an excellent business where the customer comes first.

I bought a new car during the most hectic time of the year(last week in the 2010). Even though the dealership was very busy I felt that the sales person was very helpful. I did not feel like just another number and never felt like I was getting pushed to buy a car. I just got all my questions answered and felt very comfortable during the entire car buying process.I would like to point out that everyone dreads the meeting with the person who tries to sell you the extended warranty and all of the other extras. I can honestly say I was given a brief run down of the list of other coverages I could buy and never felt any pressure to buy anyone of them. This meeting can really ruin your car buying experience but my meeting just added to the exceptional service I got at this dealership.

On the recommendation of friends, who had both purchased Subaru Outbacks in the last year, I decided to test drive one. It fit my needs so I researched the dealerships on line, checking comments by customers and the BBB information. I was very pleased when I visited the Bloomington Subaru dealership that they gave me the time to look at the vehicle in the showroom, before asking me if I needed help. I found Trish Clancy to be very helpful, and felt no pressure to rush into anything. She answered all my questions about the Outback. I went to the other dealerships also, but came back to Trish at Bloomington. Trade in pricing was as fair as the others but she explained better how they come to the numbers. Price on the new vehicle was the best of all the dealerships, they even have a Costco member discount. I will tell my friends about how smooth the whole process was and, recommend Bloomington Subaru and the great staff.

I had an excellent buying experience at Bloomington Subaru. I had not originally planned to buy an STi (was planning to buy a WRX), but I noticed the car I eventually bought in on the Bloomington Subaru website. The STi that I bought had a minimal level of luxury options and wound up being very comparable in cost to a WRX fitted with the performance upgrades that I wanted. My salesman Peter was knowledgeable about the car and was helpful without putting the pressure on me. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. The car is very nice looking and a blast to drive.

Eddie was not pushy or tricky, like salesmen have a reputation for being. He adapted to our schedule and got us what we wanted. They worked out a better financing deal than we were expecting. Sales representative, Eddie, was very low key and there was NO sales pressure. I like the ultra clean dealership and free snack station. Best of all, everyone was so friendly and bent over backwards to answer all my questions whether in person, by the phone or by email. I think Subaru is the best car made for the money and I would send any friend or family member to this dealership.

I love this dealership - bought a Subaru Legacy Wagon there in 1996 - had it serviced there for 14 years before it was just totaled in a car accident (hit a deer).Although I loved my Legacy and still miss it, I bought a new Impreza Hatchback there and love it already - very nice car - very easy and fun to drive. Got great service from Ford - great guy. As a 14+ year customer, I'm sure I'll be having all my service work done there - maybe for another 14 years with my Impreza.Thanks a bunch.

I recieved the best customer service ever from Peter Kirby. He found me a perfect car. Then I did all my paperwork with Bryon Fagen and he was even better! I didnt want a warrenty but it was very well explained to me and I got it! He was very attentive and did stop working until I was completely satisfied (Yes you, Bryon Fagen!)
