Bought a Nissan today at Blue Knob. Had to junk (took a loss) on an 8 yr. old Hyundai (well maintained by us in the short time we owned - only 70,000 miles). Long saga short, Cochran lied about this car's damaged, rusting frame and Hyundai customer service is the worst. Three expert opinions later, we were told the car was a liability. So, it was GRATIFYING to shop at Blue Knob again! Foolish we didn't go there in the first place. But, this trip offered the opportunity to share our experience and discourage them from purchasing Hyundai products. A lesson for Hyundai and Cochran -- unsatisfied customers will talk about their unsatisfactory experiences and that only hurts you. Now as for BLUE KNOB, this is our third purchase and we learned a lesson--BUY ONLY AT Blue Knob! From Pittsburgh it will take an entire day but worth the hike. We spent several hours window shopping and test driving about 8 different vehicles -- all on our own. No pressure or sales gimmicks. Financing has always been a relatively quick and efficient procedure but when its busy, allow for patience and time. It also helps to do a finance app on line before arrival. You shop there with the understanding there is no haggling. Blue Knob sells cars below KBB. Their sticker price is what it is. Some pricing seems better than others but there is option and plenty of choices. My only criticisms: If you call ahead and ask them to hold a particular vehicle until you arrive, they will do that. Once there, you can have one set of keys/vehicle for each test drive. If you are stuck on your decision, they won't hold any vehicle in reserve. Sales volume is high and cars go quickly. The unwillingness to hold what may be the customer's final contender could mean that you lose that vehicle to another customer. We drive from Pittsburgh so they could be holding a vehicle for us for several hours until we arrive as opposed to holding one vehicle while we are there and our decision would take less time. We know another couple had an interest in the car we ended up buying so we made our decision in the nick of time! Another criticism is that the sales person you are assigned is responsible for the dealer plate you are provided. Apparently there is an inside joke with sales staff where they take the license plates for ransom. Once we made our decision we parked the Nissan in lot. We left the license plate on it since we were done shopping. That plate went missing from the car. Our salesperson questioned if it could have fallen off or if we forget and left on another vehicle. The questions were not asked in an accusatory way but we are conscientious and worried we faulted. After our salesperson walked away, they came back saying it was recovered. That is when we learned about their inside joke of holding plates for ransoms (i.e. buying each other lunch). It's nice knowing the employees share a good rapport and can joke and gist with each other but admittedly it made us feel like we did something innocently wrong. As for the car buying experience and longevity of vehicle reliability and care, Blue Knob can't be beat. It was mid-month and they had already sold about 640 vehicles. I think that number speaks volumes for customer satisfaction! We have always been satisfied and will never shop at a local dealership again.

My family and I have purchased 5 autos at Blue Knob. Each time the experience was as easy as buying a car can possibly be. Good service, lowest prices anywhere, great inventory and NO PRESSURE!

Absolutely terrible service. Waited 2 hours for them to take care of us while people who came in minutes after us were out the door before we were taken back. Absolutely ridiculous.

Basically tried to buy a vehicle for the advertised price and they came up with any and all excuses to not sell it. This dealership is the reason people DON'T TRUST Car Dealerships...

They completely messed up paperwork on taxes. I was told by salesman that according to state laws they had to withhold all sales taxes prior to selling the car and i would receive a check to pay the taxes so i could get plates and new title. Then the check came they did not take out the right amount of taxes and I had to come up with 1200.00 within 14 days to get tags. After 4 days there only response was for me to drive back the 9.5 hour trip and redo the loan. Horrible customer service. Bottom line if you don't live in Pennsylvania don't buy a car from here!!!

I found a 2013 Mustang GT at Blue Knob that was the best priced one in the area. I filled out my finance app. online and got a call back from Zack stating I had been approved and he talked to me a little bit about the car and sent me the Autocheck report and everything checked out. I went up the next day, test drove it, and decided I wanted to purchase it. Everything was good up until this point. I get in the room with the finance guy, Cory, and we're talking like buddies about cars and what not. He then gets to the extended warranty portion. I had to tell him I was not interested in the extended warranty no less than 6 times before he let it go. He said things like "You don't know why that guy traded this car in" and "it's a used card it's not if it's going to break it's when". Telling your customer that a car he is buying from you for $25,000 is DEFINITELY going to break isn't exactly a good strategy in my opinion. He would not let me respectfully decline the extended warranty without saying no over and over again. Also, he was trying to sell me just a power train warranty. This car is still under the factory power train warranty for another 2 years! His entire demeanor changed after this and it's like he didn't even want me in his room and I was a burden to him at this point. Before you let him hard sell you a warranty you don't need, check the status of your factory power train warranty and be prepared to say no at least 5-6 times and stick to your guns. Otherwise, Zack was great and the price couldn't be beat.

This is the first car review that I have ever written, but felt it was very necessary. This dealership does not honor its word or its prices on their website. About 2 weeks ago I looked on their website and saw a 2013 Nissan Rogue AWD for $ 14,498. So I called the dealership to make sure everything on the site was right and that they still had it on the lot before I made the 3 hour trip. I talked to one salesman and went over everything to make sure it was right, and it was. The salesman gave me the total price, so I could go to the bank before I came up there. I had him to check to make sure it didn't have a smoker smell before I came up there. This salesman was not going to be there when I got there so he passed me onto another salesman, which is Ok. Another salesman called me back gave me the smoker information, so we went over everything again to make sure to make sure everything was right, and he said is was. He also gave me the total price so I could go to the bank to get the money $ 14,498. You would think I had done all I needed to do wouldn't you. My wife and I made the 3 hour trip one way and tried out the car and decided that we wanted it. We sat down we the second salesman that we had talked to and completed the paperwork and ended up around $ 14,667 without state sales tax which was Ok. Then he sent the paperwork to the finance dept. for us to pay and do the title work. We had the money so we didn't finance anything. A 1/2 hour later the salesman comes to us and says their is a small problem. He said that they marked the car wrong on the website and that it should have been 3 thousand more up to $ 17,498 and that he couldn't sell the car to us for the price the 2 salesman had given me before I made the trip up there. He said if we still wanted the car the manager would knock off a couple hundred dollars from the $ 17.498 price. I said that they should honor the price I was given by the two salesman and what their website said. The manager never came out to talk to my wife and I. It looks like false advertisement to me. I understand that anybody could make a mistake, but they should have sold the car for what their website and salesman said and what we agreed on before I went up there. They need to have someone double check for mistakes from now on. I covered all my bases before I made the trip and they didn't honor their word and the price I was quoted by 2 different salesman. Be very careful when dealing with that dealership.

First time buyer and experience was GREAT! Sales rep Rosmary Nipps was a "Gem". Vehicle was as described. They were going to put in a new rear widow due to factory defect but auto glass people brought the incorrect glass. We purchased a. 2015 Ford Explorer. We spent a total of 3.5 hrs there and came home with our Explorer. They put 1/2 tank of fuel in it, the completely detailed it and changed oil. For those that have had a bad experience, I guess maybe you expected too much. Words of advice for first time people to Blue Knob (1) if you are trading something in you will get rock bottom trade in price andNon negotiable (2) although we had no issue as to finance but to get in/out quicker have it done before hand and yes, they will take a bank draft, electronic transfer or a personal check and (3) don't visit them on a Friday or Saturday as we were warned by others cause they average 60 - 70 cars those days so you can see that those two days you may experience some slight delays. You won't beat the straight buy no trade price. Being there was a defective rear window and it did not get replaced before we took delivery, the service department made arrangements for the window people to come to my home. We purchased the vehicle on a Thursday and the next day, Friday afternoon the glass people arrived at my home as promised and in 1 hour the window was replaced with a new one

I've learned my lesson. Bought two cars and both have problems. First one paint started pealing took to reputable body shop states it had been painted 3 time before. Month latercheck engine light continuously on. Traded in bought an suv... 6 months later many issues with car and no dealership in the area wants to "touch a blue knob car because they all have issues." perfect..... Lesson learned

Was Looking For A Chrysler 200 When We Arrived, Our Salesman Was Blake, He Told Us The Price On The Window Was It And Where To Look In The Lot. We Found What We Were Looking For, Went Back To The Office Gave Him The Info And A Couple Hours Later We Were On Our Way Home More Than Satisfied. Won't Deal Anywhere Else In The Future. 11/5/14

we drove three hours to get there, be prepared to pay the price on the window, no less, the only way you can look in a car is go get the keys, they do not give you more then one set of keys at a time, so if you want to compare do not lock up the first car you look at, they will not give you more the a quarter tank of gas, you are just a number, you are like cattle (Keep them moving), will not recommend them to anyone

I've been buying cars / trucks for forty years and my experience at the Blue Knob Dealership has to be one of the best ever, From our salesman Gene, to Jeremy and Steve in their shop they treated my wife and I with professional service. We made the three and a half hour trip to the dealership twice to finish the deal, Prior to the purchase of a 2014 SUV, upon an inspection of the vehicle I noticed the front valance was damaged, Gene and Jeremy had the body shop do the repairs and kept us informed every step of the way. I inspected the repair and it was not a disappointment (I'm a past NASCAR Crew Chief so I look for the details) They did this with honoring the original price. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a 2014 Ford Mustang V6 Manual for about 6-month, and I finally accept that it is not a family car even that my wife and I haven't have any child yet. And my stang got scratched by some xxxxxxx last week when it is parking on street (We don't have off street parking here in this apt). Then we discussed and decided to switch to a family car. After looking at Blueknob's website, we realized that some SUVs are just at the same price as sedans, in which case, why not go for an SUV? So we called Blueknob the day before we go there, confirmed that the SUV we are interested are still available. It turns out one of them has been sold, the website is a little bit lag. Next morning, we called in very early, the salesman Zack answered and confirmed that the other two candidate SUVs are still there, we ask him to hold one (they can only hold one car for you if you are coming actually), and drive there. There is no push, Zack just copied my DL, and give me the key for test drive while he is checking my trade-in(the mustang). It turns out they can only let you test drive one each time, so you have to go back and forth for different keys. But the good thing is that, they won't follow you to do the test drive, so there won't be any 'chat' when you are checking the car. You can take as many test drives as you want. Also, they will paste notes (Stock number, year, price, mileage, optional equipment, trim level, etc) on the car in their parking lots, if you don't want to walk, you can just drive your car around the parking lot and you don't even have to get out of the car to record those info. :)It turns out there are some new cars just got into their inventory, but haven't been updated onto the website, we test drive a few, and selected one finally. They don't negotiate price, and they gave a pretty good trade in evaluation. Close to KBB-Verygood. So the OTD can be calculated as follows: OTD = targeted car's value + (targeted car's value - your trade-in value) * your tax rate + 200 doc feeThey also provide free autocheck, they will go over it item-by-item with you (at least Zack did).I am very satisfied with the car and the trade in value, so then just do the paper work and it took about 1 hour(we also have autoloan). They will wash the car for you, but NOT fill in any gas, so if the car is almost empty, make sure you know the where is the nearest gas station. All in all, there is abso-freaking-lutely no push, you can ask any question, but DO GO THERE EARLY IN THE MORNING! there will be a lot of people in the noon, which may slowdown your process. My suggestion: if you got a car to trade-in, go this place because they give you good trade in value, better than any local dealer, I guess this is because they will try to sell it by themselves instead of going to the auction or trade with other dealership; but if you are buying a 'new' used car, the price here is not that good and it is not negotiable. And check with them by phone(infer the car with stock number), the website is a little bit lag, but works most of the time.

I bought a used toyota previously at a local dealer and paid exactly blue book - this was after haggling. At Blue Knob I paid thousands under blue book. There was no haggling over price: They were already at minimum. I HATE haggling over price.I had to drive almost two hours to get to Blue Knob but a four hour round trip is worth the thousands of dollars I saved.I HIGHLY recommend this dealer and I will never go anywhere else to buy a used car.

Made an appt. with mike. Drove an hour and half to get there. Arrived 1 hour before close as scheduled. He sent us to the lot 3 different times with only 1 set of keys to look at the wrong car. Instead of walking out with us, terrible customer service! Then told us that the payments would be very high for someone with no credit and would not try to finance us. Pretty sure he just wanted to clock out, since it was almost closing time and didn't want to be bothered

This is the 3rd car I bought from Blue Knob and I am always pleased with the way things are there! Anita Baker has helped me every time. She is fantastic to work with and never makes you feel pressured into anything! In fact she will be the first to say think about it!! LOL, never had a sales person say that before. I have had to deal with the service department and all i can say is my experience was outstanding!! I can't see me going anywhere else to buy a car!!Thanks Blue Knob!

Took the day off from work to complete a deal from the previous week. The sales sgent t Mr. Hipp had asked that we call ahead just so we would not have to wait on paperwork when we returned. Thankfully we did however the news was Blue Knob fiddling not possess a clear title... I informed the manager that my wife and I took leave days from work and asked him what he could do for US. HE REPLIED nothing...

I purchased a Saturn Aura in mid September. The vehicle is loaded and the price was spectacular! There was no nonsense with the purchase or price and it was the shortest time I've ever spent buying a car. Since the purchase, the service department has gone entirely out of their way to fix the random problems I've had with the vehicle that nobody could have known until the vehicle was driven some distance. They even went as far as to put me in a rental car for almost a week at no cost to me and then also ordered me 4 brand new after market rims of my choice to replace one bent factory rim that could not be ordered due to its limited availability. I will never buy a car anywhere else and Blue Knob Service has earned my business for inspections and repairs from here on out. Top notch employees round out the circle in my experience. Thanks Blue Knob!

My family has been buying from Blue Knob auto for years. I bought 4 vehicles from them in the past 5 years. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand and sweet talk you this isn't their business. If you don't buy the car someone else will so you have to think of that when you arrive on their parking lot. They don't have to sell the car because it will sell. If you want it you better get there before its gone and have your finances in check to get the vehicle. They aren't always the "nicest" but watch them run in circles selling multiple vehicles. You would be a little stressed. Last time I was there (last month) Greg was working two cubicles at once. Was it right?? I'd say no but he had to do what he had to do given the amount of customers present. I think I would do the same. He called me by my name and treated me with respect whether I was buying or not. You can't ask for anything else. I say let me drive X, Y & Z and he says here are the keys. It's a good atmosphere. No one tells u where to drive, offers to come along, or talks you out of a test drive. You come back, hand them the plate and keys and they say "how did it ride". There is no pressure at all. I currently drive a 09 F-150 I bought from Blue Knob and I have had no issues. I never had issues with any other vehicle I bought there either. As far as trade in they offered me $2,900.00 more than any dealership I went to recently when I wanted to trade in my truck. In the past they gave me $1,000 more on my Dodge Ram then anyone else would. If you have a Ford Focus and they have 20 Focus's on the lot you might not get a good trade in. Why would they give you what they sell them for or more than what they can get them for? If you go to Blue Knob without being in the whole on the vehicle you are trading you should always come out ahead if you buy a vehicle where the asking price is significantly less than the book value.

We went to Blue Knob Auto determined to buy something after the recommendations of coworkers. The whole buying experience was good there, except for the slight smell in the car we bought. That night the smell lingered on our clothes to the point we had to get two ozone treatments at a dealership, which solved that problem. However, the check engine light has come on twice in the month that we've owned it. The car has been in the shop or scheduled for the shop nearly the whole time we owned it, which has been one month. I really hesitate going there again. It was our first used car experience, and not a good one.

After three trips of over an hour one way to the dealer to find the vehicle was already sold, We did what the Salesman asked and called ahead and asked to "hold" the two cars I wanted to see. We received a call as we were leaving(the fourth trip) that the two we were coming to see were sold. I guess he saved us two hours of driving. So apparently "HOLDING" a car does not mean the same to Blue Knob as it does to the Customer.

Poor Ralph. I read the reviews after the fact and I am glad I did not meet Ralph that day. I purchased a vehicle from Blue Knob on 08/26/2011. Several friends, coworkers, and even my local mechanic recommended them over the years, but I keep an open mind and buy when the price is right. I spent the better part of two weeks researching and pricing used vehicles. I had determined I was looking for a 2005 or newer ford escape, had my options in mind, and set out for the hunt. When Thursday night came, I did a final search and found a 2006 Escape listed for $12k with 54k miles and the options I wanted. On Friday, I called the dealership and spoke with Kevin. He was kind and answered my questions promptly. When I said I was interesting in looking at the vehicle and that I was about 90 minutes from the dealership, he offered to hold the vehicle for me. I was skeptical, but took the chance and drove up. Sure enough, when I arrived, Kevin had the keys waiting for me. To my surprise, there was another offer on the vehicle when I arrived (I actually ran into the person in the lobby), but he held the vehicle until I made a decision. There was even a note in the vehicle that said "Sale Pending". Good start. After I test drove the vehicle and it met my needs. I was equally impressed that I was not pressured into buying the vehicle. He did not focus on the monthly payment like so many other places and I was asked what financing I was comfortable with - i.e. 3, 4, or 5 years, which banks I wanted to deal with etc. etc. While working on some paperwork, I mentioned that the AC did not seem very cold after the test drive, but I could recharge it at home. To my surprise, they pulled the car in and recharged it before I left - and it was noticeable. My whole experience was GREAT. Considering I was open-minded, and would have shopped at other dealerships, I am glad I chose to go to Blue Knob first. They do deal with high volume and their inventory goes quickly. My suggestions for dealing with them is to search / monitor their inventory online before you go. Have an idea of what you want, and how much you can afford. They love it when you are well informed. Also, if you live more that 15 minutes away from their lot - CALL FIRST. They are very accommodating - and if you have a vehicle in mind, they will hold it for you if it's not already sold. As far as quality - make sure you know what to look for. Push all the buttons, check the car over, and then over again. But this is the same advice for any dealership.Good luck and happy car hunting!

this was the second vehichle purchased from blue knob auto. the first was a 2005 dakota pick up with low milage and the truck is still owned and opperated by us, that is the reason we went back to this dealer. Contray to other review we were offered a car fax on the cars we were looking at and it did help in the decission making prosses.chuck was kind , curtious and knowledgable. we were treated with respcect and like we were buying a vehicle from a friend. we did buy a 2010 nissan almost 2 weeks ago and so far we are pleased with this vehicle as well. all in all we were pleased with the whole buying experience and would highly recommend chuck and this dealer to anyone looking for a used vehicle . john conner

First off let me say they have some of the best prices around. They do so because they deal in volume. They are a great place to buy a car if you don't like the haggling that goes on at every other dealer. That being said do your homework! They do basically nothing but wash the cars up and maybe do an inspection. Make sure you take someone with you to fully inspect the car you are looking at. Some of these cars are priced so low because of a reason. And from what I have read Blue Knob service after the sale is minimal to none. Many of the cars are from rental fleets, ever rent a car? did you treat it like your own? lol, be careful of what you buy.The sales people know little about the cars and getting a vehicle history report is like pulling teeth. They must not get paid on commission because SOME of them are real pricks. I dealt with RALPH JONES JR. 814-317-4025. If they give you this salesman, immediately ask for someone, anyone else. He is such a douche bag. All he wants to do is talk about how badly the dealer treats him and his camouflage hat. I kinda felt bad for him because he sounded so pathetic. Ralph if you read this why don't you do something else with your life? The bottom line is that they do have some good prices but you really need to be careful of what you buy. And the absolute truth is that other dealers will give you the same prices that blue knob does and you might just get someone nice to deal with for service after the sale.Remember if the price sounds too good to be true it probably is.I ended up dealing with another sales person, Steve Kotecki, he is a really nice young guy who was very respectable an attentive to my requests. 814-317-4054

hey you can't please evryone. I often hear people complain about Blue Knob. WHY? I don't know for sure. But I have bought 4 cars there and have no regrets. If you can find a nicer car for a few thousand dollars under the average market prices, I suggest you post that car dealer here as I want to know about it. I am getting my fifth car from Blue Knob this month. because I cannot find a nicer car for the money. And once I had a sales person who was a little lax in getting to me. So, I asked for another sales person and reveived one. Common sense .

I was referred to Blue Knob Auto by several of my friends and co-workers when mentioned purchasing a used car. Already knowing how busy this dealership was I came prepared to purchase and hopefully leave the same day. When I arrived I was given to a used car salesperson named Ralph. He sent me on a test drive on the car I was interested in. The test drive was fine and other than an odor inside the car which was explained to me as something to do with cleaning it I had nothing to complain about. When we sat down to discuss the purchase it was obvious that there was other issues here. Instead of processing the purchase and talking about the car Ralph decided I wanted to hear about his problems. I was then told about how the dealership does nothing for him and how he has to purchase his own uniform shirts and license plates out of pocket. I was there to purchase a car and thats about it. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. He must have sensed my displeasure and became short with me and acted like me being there was an inconvenience. I did not and will not be retuning to Blue Knob to purchase a car. The prices are excellent and the cars seem to be in nice condition however the lack of customer service and unprofessionalism based on this one and only visit is more than enough for me to stay away. Previous and future customers beware, if you are looking for any help from management of this dealership dont count on it. My calls to the manager Jim were never returned. I ended up finding another car not far from there and didnt have any complaining to go with my purchase.

I attempted to trade-in a car at Blue Knob (BK), but learned that they place no value on the fact that I purchased it there and that they have no appreciation for repeat business.....unless it's repeat business w/o a trade (I originally purchased the car from BK w/o a trade-in......they were very friendly, then!). After receiving their low-ball trade-in price, I attempted to discuss with the salesman why I felt I deserved a greater trade allowance, mentioning that I purchased the car there and offering to show trade-offers from multiple dealers who all offered a greater allowance against 4X4 trucks that were priced/equipped nearly identically to theirs. The salesman I was dealing with rudely told me "we do not negotiate" and abruptly walked away from me. I did manage to stop him, briefly. However, he was at a door and in an arrogance that I have never experienced from someone who supposedly wanted my business told me "I am very busy. Do you want the deal or not?". I did not even have a chance to speak before he proceeded out the door. Let me be clear, I was not rude, never raised my voice and certainly did not do anything to deserve the treatment I received. As a result, I will never pass through the doors of this dealership again and I am relaying my experience to as many people as I can. There is a great ending to this story, however. I went to Buds Auto Sales in Beaverdale, PA and purchased a newer 4X4 truck with fewer miles with a great trade-in allowance. My bottom-line price out the door was fantastic and was less than what it would have been at BK, even if they had they given me what I deserved for my car.

The other reviewers are right. The prices are great, but these people are RUDE - they don't get commission and they therefore don't benefit very much from your business. They offered me CRAP for my Jeep as a trade in, and when I told them about a different dealership which had the same vehicle for the same price, they told me to go there and buy that. Well guess what, I DID! I went to Hollern and Sons and bought the same vechicle with the same mileage, but got a better deal on the trade-in (my car was immaculate and Blue Knob didn't care).

A friend of mine referred me to Blue Knob because of their excellent prices, which, I must say, are excellent. However, they are in Altoona and I am in Pittsburgh. I attempted to call the dealership four times before making a 2 hour drive, only to have no answer. When I arrived I was not greeted, and could not locate a particular place to find a salesperson. Finally a secretary(hostess? I'm assuming) asked me if I needed help and I said yes. She asked if I'd been there before and I said no. I heard her say, "Ralph, you're up" and was introduced to Ralph, my salesperson. He asked me what car I was here to see. I thought that was odd, but I had researched their inventory and was able to tell him a few, and he gave me a key and a plate and said "seeya when you get back." This was the same for 2 other cars I drove. At one point I had a question about a car and his answer was a flat "I have no idea." He did not offer to find out. At one point I had to wait for him, the secretary walked by on her cell phone loudly proclaiming she was "sick of these a-holes coming in after 7 without an appointment." Of course, I didn't have an appt becuase a)it's a used car dealer, not a doctor's office b) it doesn't recommend I get one on their website, and c)no one picked up the phone during one of my four attempts. When it came time to talk about a purchase, I was given a trade-in value $1500 below NADA value. Ralph coldly informed me he would not negotiate and proudly stated he sells 1000 cars per month(up from the 800 I'd been hearing) and that his bottom line is always lower than "the other guy." Despite being greatly impressed by his sales figures and relieved to know I would not get one over on his bottom line, the price of the car out of my pocket(what I was concerned with, and what I would call my bottom line) was higher than at other dealerships I'd been to. I complained about no one answering the phone and was told they are very busy, reminded how many cars per month they sell, and brushed aside. I was treated as though they were doing me a favor by even talking to me, and left without a vehicle due to both terrible trade-in value and horrendous customer service. If they read this review: an answering machine and call backs are big these days, I'd look into it. But I also know they likely don't care, because there's a 1000 or so other people(if you don't believe me, just ask them!) walking in the door behind me. Without knowing the conditions of their vehicles since I didn't buy one, I'd say they do have excellent prices if you are buying with no trade. With trade, you will lose money. They will be rude, they will not negotiate, and they will treat you like you're supposed to know how they operate.

We got a 2007 jeep compass; And we love it our car was just not working out for us and it was time to get someting new. my friend went there and got a jeep first and she got a great deal so me and my wife thought we would go there to. We went to the same salesman as she did and let me tell you he gave me more for my car then I thought he would. he was so nice to talk to and he had it cleaned up, inspected, and looked over it before we left. Since we got the jeep, we have spoken to several friends and they also went to BLue Knob and had the same great experience that we had. And just driving on the highway, you always see a Blue Knob Auto sticker. Just for kicks and giggles on your way to work or to whereever count how many BKA stickers you see on the road. I bet you that there are more than another dealer. Good Job!!! and Thanks!!!mars-jtown

Everything was bad. You cant talk to them on the phone, they do not use carfax but some off the chart deal that gives you minimal info. When you do get there the people know nothing about the vehicles but just hand you keys and say have fun. This is not good customer service, if you do have questions they cant answer them and if you point out a problem they blow you off. I did some research and found that they buy alot of wrecked, flooded and just plain bad cars, thats why the prices are what they are. IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS. And in this case it is. Check the BBB very shady and unresolved complaints. They are not recommended by the PRO'S!If you're in the area stop at Timbrook's in Cumberland Maryland. Little higher in price but those people care about you and want to earn your business.

Greetings, I am R. Gehret. I have bought 4 cars from Blue Knob. All 4 needed some type of repairs. BUT!! Blue Knob spent an average $700 per car to make it right. And even fixed a few items I was not and would not of been aware of. Currently, they are spending about $1000 to re-do my brakes and some sensors. A 2001 Nissan Sentra. I say that is pretty good service. I doubt any used car place would immediately step up and go to bat as Blue Knob does for customers. Yes, I know going in if there is a non-repairable issue, I eat chit selling it back to them. But they also eat chit on the car. It's not like Blue Knob is asking us to something they are not doing. Prior to buying a car, research it very well. Bottom line, Blue Knob cannot bottle feed us people. We have a wealth of information right here to research a car prior to buying. We are adults. Or go to Dean Patterson or Fiore and pay 3-5 thousand more for the same car. OH, and good luck getting the it fixed. Blue Knob has great service.

I love the haggle free idea of buying a car. If you are looking for a warm personal buying experience, this place is not for you. If you like to buy without some idiot following you around the lot hounding you about buying, it is awesome. I bought a 2008 PT Cruiser for a great price. That being said...After doing the initial paperwork they send you to a warranty guy. This is where they haggle you. The person that I had the misfortune of dealing with was insulting and rude. He told me that if I didn't buy the warranty my car would break, yes he said break. Then I questioned the integrity of the product if he is trying to force a warranty on me. He changed his tune when I threatened to go somewhere else. Again this was not the initial salesperson. Soon after I noticed that one of the tires has a slow leak in it. When I called to try and remedy the problem I received no response. Will I buy from them again?Probably, only if I don't have the same warranty guy, and I will definitely check the tire pressure before I leave the lot.

Great prices, good trade in value. Overall I recommend buying here as long as you know what you want. They won't pester you or hover over you, just tell them what you want to look at and they will give you the keys and a plate. Let them know what you have decided on, get the paperwork done (mine took about 1.5 hrs and I had my own financing) and enjoy your great deal. I like the fact that they gave me a trade in value for my truck that was good for any vehicle in the lot. I have been to dealers that took an hour and a half just to get to final numbers on their "deal". They will definitely be my first choice for buying the next time I need a vehicle. I drove 140 miles each way for this purchase.

It is very hard to get a better price on a used vehicle than you would get here. Add the fact that it is no hassle, and it should make for an easy buying experience. However, there is a real communication breakdown at this dealership somewhere between "I would like to buy this car" and actually purchasing the car. They are very slow when it comes to processing paperwork. They just kind of leave you hanging for a good three to five hours or so while things are "moving along" (their words). My wife, infant child and I spent about 4+ hours waiting for them to get their stuff together so we could sign the paperwork. We got a good car, and a good loan (better than my bank could do), but be prepared to spend a fair amount of time there. Also get there early, otherwise it will take longer (we got there less than an hour after opening) -- buying a car here is an all day event. But the prices are so good that most people are willing to put up with the sloth-like service.

I have purchased 4 vehicles from Blue Knob Auto from 04 till now. If you want to go and try different cars and have a big selection to pick from, Blue Knob's great. If you want to purchase a car hassle free, to have a lot of time to make your own decision, Blue Knob's great. If you want to save thousands over purchasing from another dealer, Blue Knob's Great. If you want to try a car or three or four ,but are not quite ready to buy and don't want pestered by sales people, Blue Knob's Great. If tyou want someone to wait on you hand and foot and be told what you should buy, Go elsewhere. If you can't possibly make up your own mind which of the 400 or so vehicles on the lot is best for you, Go elsewhere. If you think any dealership that moves over 800 vehicles a month can give you personal service and please every single person to a T, Go elsewhere. I had three minor problems with two of the four and had no real problem getting them fixed, but, I had to call them and make them aware. If you think a saleman will call to check to see if you are satisfied, go elsewhere. I personally will continue to purchase my late models from Blue Knob. You have to check the vehicles over carefully for blemishes that would bother you, just like any other dealers cars.

Great deals on lightly used cars but be prepared to be treated very poorly. MAKE SURE THE CAR IS READY TO GO BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM A PENNY!!! Or else be prepared to deal with BKA emplyees that don't care about your satisfaction. Once they have your money, the good service ends. I bought a car there and was told I could pick it up the next day. I showed up the next day, signed the paperwork, and was told I could not take it home until they inspected it. So far I have been waiting 8 days and the vehicle is still not in my possession. Everytime I call them I am lied to, or given the run-around about something. They are in no hurry to get my vehicle to me. I will never go back there this has been a horrible experience. If you like good customer service, do not go here to buy a car.
