I found the 335i convertible BMW I was looking for at Monrovia BMW online.The purchase experience was not the best. The finance department had us waiting about 3hours. My husband was pre-approved 2.9% BMW financing 2days before the purchase; to ensure as smooth process with the purchase. This did not happen. I am happy to say that my post purchase experience was better. I had a problem with my car and Sean Ramezani was able to get my service concerns handled. Jerry, service manager was very pleasant and easy to work with.

I purchased a new 2013 128i convertible from BMW of Monrovia three years ago. The buying experience was painless. I knew exactly what I wanted and had it specially ordered. The internet salesperson, whose name I can't remember, was efficient and knowledgeable. There was no pressure to add on items. I've had this car serviced here as well as a 2003 Z4 I owned for 10 years. It's not the closest BMW dealer but I like their service. I've never had any repairs done, but they've done routine service in the time estimated. Prices are high once out of warranty, but that's true anywhere. They just rebuilt the dealership and it's state of the art. My only complaint is the idiotic post-service surveys I get both telephonically and by email They want to know if the oil change "greatly exceeded my expectations" or was "exceptional." I understand BMW of America rates dealers and expects top scores, but how can a simple oil change be "exceptional." Throw in a steak dinner, and that's exceptional. That's not the dealer's fault and many other owners complain of this. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this dealership and drive the extra miles because of it.

I'm a Jaguar Convertible Girl!! Only Red or Zircon Blue, only light interior! They are few and far between, but worth the hunt!I have had 5, but was not able to locate my gently used #6 anywhere in the USA, after aggressively looking for 3 months and wanting desperately to make a cash deal! Because I was interested in a Red Convertible on several sites, Cars.com sent me a snap of a cute little red number at BMW of Monrovia. I didn't know where Monrovia was, and have never wanted a BMW, but this Sassy Red 2015 hard top convertible looked classy and unique, only had 4,700 miles, was a 1 year lease return w/ a clean Carfax, and is CPO, so the warranty was transferable! AND was at the low end of my price range. I was mildly intrigued!I decided to email to get more details at about 8:30 on a Friday night. My Husband said, "you wont hear anything until Monday"!Ha! 10 minutes later, Jonathan Fairman, Internet Manager, called! The Hubbs was surprised and impressed!Jonathan was articulate, cheerful, knowledgeable and humorous as I explained what I was looking for, and that I don't particularly like BMW's. He told me a little about the Red 425i, and about the Sonic dealerships, and how they are revolutionizing the car buying experience with competitive no-haggle pricing on vehicles for sale and and trade ins. Jonathan answered my questions, and never pushed me to react about their car. I appreciated that, and since I liked his personality and attitude, I made an appointment to come to look at the Red Convertible on Saturday at noon. Jonathan said he would park the car in front of the dealership, so I would be able to see it when we drove up. That was nice, since one of the reasons I told him I have driven a Jaguar convertible for the last 20 years is that I like to stand out in a crowd, and there are so few of them on the road! Unlike BMW, MBZ etc, which are ubiquitous here in SoCal, and basically all look alike to me! When we arrived, Jonathan warmly greeted by name! He was nicely dressed, professional and personable in an unforced, sincere manor! He was very helpful, patient, never pushy. Jonathan knew all the basics about the car, and the specifics of the history of this car. Any time I asked a question he wasn't sure about, he never tried to "snow me", but said, we'll ask "The Genius"! (That's what they call the person who knows how everything works on the car) My Husband and I were equally impressed with the car, and all it's bells and whistles, and with Jonathan and The Genius (so sorry, that's what we called him and I have forgotten his name). I decided to go for it! We were then escorted to the Finance Guy, Dave, who was also knowledgeable and patient as he explained why we had to go through the finance manager even though we were writing a check.Dave also told us how the contracts and warranty work. After a 45 minute wait, and an hour with Dave, we were in the parking lot, sitting in the shiny "new" car, getting further operating instructions from The Genius, and a 2nd Genius! Jonathan was there too, and they all made sure we know how to drive the car, put in gas, sinc our phones, work the top and windows, etc. Overall, our Sonic BMW of Monrovia dealership experience was great! We would highly recommend them. Especially Jonathan, The Genius and Dave, all of whom treated us very well. Their entire team was friendly and nice. Throughout the 8.5 hours we were there, several employees came over to chat with us while we were waiting and offered us coffee/water, etc. Nice!Both the newly completed BMW showroom and the cool looking Mini showroom were modern, clean and beautiful. The ONLY negative for us was that it was a very long day, and there were no snacks or munchies except for popcorn, apples, coffee drinks & water. (We're admittedly spoiled by MBZ and Jaguar dealerships with their wide array of drinks, soups, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, nuts, fresh bakery goodies, sandwiches, etc).

Tomas Cervantes is the BEST sales repsrentative. This is the second car that I have leased from BMW of Monrovia and I cant believe I have the same sales rep. He is always the top sales person and that is for good reason. He returns your calls or texts and is very straightforward and will give you the best deal. I recommend him to everyone and the dealership. As for service advisors the only person to go to is Matthew Clark. He has helped me for over eight years and he is the absolute best. I wouldn't continue driving bmw's without his help.

JJ or john the internet sales manager was great. Approached us as we were looking and asked if we were looking for a certain car i let him know i was looking for a 328i that i saw on the cars app we found it and he let me test drive asked my opinion and saw that i wasnt happy with the car we talked for a few hours and not a single second from those 5 hours did i feel pressured or overwhelmed to purchase a car, i just gained alot of info on what car i was looking for exactly. He let me test drive a 335i and i fell in love with it. Sadly i did not purchase a vehicle from him as it didnt have all the features i wanted but he did help me decide on buying a 335i. And kept in contact with through out my purchase process.

I recently leased my very first bimmer through BMW of Monrovia. I?m a techy shopper (getting deals all worked out via web sites, emails, texts, and phone calls prior to heading out to the actual dealership) and I do not interact with ?traditional? floor sales people so this review is on Monrovia?s Internet Sales Department. Like many other dealers? internet sales department no pressure what so ever and very pleasant to work with. This is reason why I only deal with internet sales people at dealerships because they don?t use high pressure sales tactics on you. If you are also a techy shopper like myself, contact Joseph (or Marlana, she was assisting him with follow ups and so forth) for best possible deals out there. Joseph was willing to listen to my needs and requests to work on a very VERY aggressive deal for me. When I arrived at the dealership, all the paperwork was ready as well as the car. Signing process was done in 20 minutes and I was in my new 340i heading back home in no time. I really love this car and Joseph really made my BMW shopping experience a top-notch. Although it is a bit of drive from where I live, I have no doubt Joseph will be my first contact to inquire about my next BMW once this lease is over.

Each time I visit BMW of Monrovia, I'm immediately greeted by at least one team member ready to help as if I'm some celebrity or an old friend, and it doesn't end. My service advisor called me and left me voicemail telling me to bring back the loaner car and my car is already finished after one week of repair, but for the fact that I already have my car in my possession and of course returning the loaner car. its very degrading to leave a message stating that "IF YOU DONT BRING THE CAR ASAP WE WILL CHARGE YOU A FEE!". I talked to the service manager regarding this and he apologized but no follow-up for letting me know that it was address to the right person. I should be treated right. When I came to drop off my vehicle it seems like I'm not welcome and my advisor didn't even know that I need a loaner which in fact I waited for almost a month to have my appointment because of the loaner car. When I was asked if I have another car to use if there's no loaner car is available, is that appropriate? Bought a certified BMW I saw on the Internet. Went to test drive the vehicle only to find a salesman sitting on it talking to customers. I was pre-approved through my credit union but talked to three different people who were trying to have me finance with them. Each time offering me something more than the last time. Car had a smokers package but was told no one smoked in it. After I got the car home (it was delivered to me out of state 5 days later) and ran the ac for a wile, car had stale cigarette smell. Charged me $550 to ship the car to AZ so I asked 2 different people if there was any wiggle room in the charge. Was told no because it was a third party. The shipping company charged the dealership $200. No explanation why they charged extra. Car was delivered with transmission fluid all over top, hood, passenger door and quarter panel due to car above on transport. Email sent to Internet sales, General Mgr., Sales Mgr. and got no response from anyone. Filled out the BMW survey and was finally contacted by a customer service rep at the dealership. She said she would look into all my issues and call back. Still waiting after three days.

We Brought in 2 of our BMW's . My daughter got to bring her's back home as it read she did not have to come in for a service yet. Honest and Friendly is Tim Chen. My daughter will drive her car back to college and come back in the summer for her service. My 750 LI did need service. I was told it would take about an hour and a half so i decided to wait and take advantage of the delicious coffee bar and watch some morning TV. I was told an hour later my car was done. My engine light went on so I wanted to make a service appointment. I called and the switch board sent me to the service department and I got voice mail and left a message and the recording said they would call back. Three hours latter I called the service department directly and got voice mail and left another message. I called back again and left a voice mail. The next day (Fri) I called and got the service department's voice mail so I dailed 0 and the operator said she would walk over and give them my message. She switched me to service and I made the appointment for 11:20 am the same day. The service rep-Brooke-said they would do the 25,000 check up at the same time and it would probably be ready today and she would call me. No call so I call at 4:50 and couldn't get anyone in service or Brooke. I called 3 times on Sat and kept getting the service voice mail so I dailed 0 at 4:50 pm and the person said that the service department closes at 4:00 on Sat. even through the recording on the 0 says they are open until 5:00 on Sat. On Sun I called service several times and got a recording and dailed 0 and he said service is closed on Sun and no one has the key to get my car. On Mon I called and got voice mail from service and Brooke. Ten minutes later service called and said my car was ready but they couldn't take care of the service light because the problem part is on back order but that the car was no problem. Now I have to bring it back again for the back order part.POOR, POOR COMMUNICATION.

Disclaimer: I visited the dealership on the first major rainy day of the El Nino season.Regardless of the rain, the service and location was not very good. The dealership is under construction and cannot handle the volume of customers they accepted into the service department that day.Being this was the first time I was there for service, I expected some sort of welcoming information, but got none of that. It was just hello Mr. Files, sit there Mr. Files, your car is ready Mr. Files, Good bye Mr. Files. The oil change took nearly two hours, and the dealership was not close by to warrant shuttling back and forth to work. No loaner was offered, despite what sales people said and my car's settings were tampered with so that my displays were no longer the same on the dashboard.Just based on the construction alone I would tell everyone to stay away! Maybe it wasn't there best day, and maybe things will be better when construction is done, but I can't recommend the service center based on my experience.

I feel I have had a lifetime of difficult experiences with dealerships and the car buying process. To avoid this of recent times I've bought the advertised special to minimize the hassles.So after reading most the comments about 'BMW of Monrovia' I was reluctant to even consider dealing with them.But they did have a few cars I was interested in looking at and had a trip planed in that area.To my suprise I had a very good experience with everyone there and bought a car.The sales man Tony Froussine was just straight friendly and helpful the whole way. I would work with him when my family next need to buy a car. He explained the Sonic pricing that they have, you have to go with that system there, hey as long as the price is right!He walked around the cars with me talked about what I wanted and explained things in detail when required.After leaving it for a few days I contacted Tony and asked him to arrange for a purchase.He worked everything out before I got back to the dealership to make the process smoother, he when out of his way to make things happen easy.Then Tony took me to the 'Financial guy' always the dealership 'heavy' in my experience. So I was ready - but this guy Oliver was the nicest guy I could have met no kidding. No finance or warranty bull no pushing things I don't want or any extras like magic spays etc. He just wanted to be genuinely pleasant, helpful and move the process along while covering everything with me, so professional. Not at all what I have ever had to deal with in the past.Oh and when ever I was asked to wait somewhere I was asked endlessly by staff passing by if was being helped or if I needed anything etc.So Take these comments for what there worth and go work with Tony Froussine.

He assured me that he would do all he could to get me out as soon as possible. Well maybe it's just me? Change the oil/spark plugs/air filter, etc. for $800-900? Slight coolant leak... new water pump/thermostat another $1200. New fan belt. Total when finished: $2100. Called an independent... new water pump installed: $550. Figured everything would run about half the price. Live and learn.

I scheduled a needed service for my mini, not knowing the outcome.It took almost two days to get it back in full gear, thanks to the senior service advisor, Patrick Kennedy, who was assigned to me. Patrick took the time to walk me through the Monrovia process with great patience and explained what was covered under warranty and how much certain parts would be. My water pump belt snapped, causing the radiator on my BMW 330i to overheat. I was given an estimate of $168 on Dec. 1 when AAA towed my vehicle to BMW of Monrovia, which quickly escalated to $660 to replace the belt and upper and lower radiator hoses (i.e., very expensive!) Maxcare extended warranty approved replacing a pulley for $317 that caused the problem. One week later- without a loan car or rental car being procured- I was charged $593.85- shouldn't this have been $343, according to their quotes? They delivered the car extremely dirty due to their ongoing construction activity.

Christmas came a little early this year. Thanks to the great customer service skills of Mr. Ron Demps and the staff at BMW of Monrovia, I was able to trade out 2011 328i in for a brand new 2015 320i twin turbo, complete with moon roof and a lot of other bells and whistles. It's got the quickness you'd expect from a BMW, yet the MPG is much better than our last one. The maintenance package is incredible, and we are enjoying it to the fullest. I highly suggest going to see Ron and his team!

Took my car in as it was not running well at all, in fact it had to be towed in. I was originally quoted $700 for the repair, bad coils, misfiring on 3 out of 4 cylinders. After discussing the issue with my service adviser, he was able to get most of it covered, so I only paid around $130, so I left happy.

I've bought my last 3 cars from BMW Monrovia and I will never buy from another dealership again. I love everyone there, from the sales staff (Eli and George) to the service and courtesy shuttle staff (Robert and Liz). They are just the nicest and most helpful people I've ever dealt with at a car dealership. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!! I cant say enough great things about everyone there, I love them and they've always made me feel welcome and at home every time I've been there. The last few times I was there I was not welcomed and was told I needed numerous repairs. When my husband returned with the vehicle they told him a different story and the repairs were not suggested to him. I hate to say that maybe females are treated differently. As a result I refuse to take my vehicle in and I either have my husband or son take the car in. My son and husband agreed I was treated poorly and they have offered to take the car in for me always.

They are under construction, so the facilities are a bit tight. But I took my Countryman in for its second service. Though I had an appointment, I had to wait a bit, but the staff was friendly and very helpful. What I appreciated most was that they didn't try to up-sell me on a bunch of services that were not needed, unlike the last dealership I had it serviced at did. They suggested something small that wasn't covered by the warranty and my husband agreed that it was a good idea. We will continue to use this Service Department for sure.

I feel that the appointment scheduling is good but I think that the schedule for any given day is overloaded. I brought my car in at 9am. They didn't start working on it until 1:30pm and I had to fight rush hour traffic for 20 miles in order to get back to the dealer before 7pm (closing time). If the vehicle is not going to ready by the end of the day then notification to that effect should be given by 5pm. The service representative was polite and apparently, the work that was done was done well.

I had a great experience here. Not too many hassles and force/"talked to death" to buy anything options I did not want. George El Rai was very professional and up front about everything. Even when my car was just delivered, he did not find it in acceptable condition for me to take home so he gave me a loaner and wanted to get the car detailed before handed me the keys. I would recommend coming here. I gave facilities 3 stars because it is still under construction so parking was a pain but the Mini dealer was great looking

I've purchased two BMWs from BMW of Monrovia. I went back for the second one because of my satisfaction with the previous buying experience and their service department. The purchases were straight forward, honest, and at a reasonable price. There are at least 3 BMW dealers closer to my home but I drive to the Monrovia where I've had only good experiences. The staff is competent and friendly and they always get the work done on time. My first BMW was a '03 Z4 I owned for 10 years. It never required any repairs, only routine service. Same with the 128i that I currently own. The dealership is being completely rebuilt, so the service and sales areas are in temporary trailers. Yet, they are clean and comfortable.

The engine service light came on suddenly at round 5 pm last Friday. I was very worried because I needed to pick up my daughter 50 miles away that evening and attend a conference 30 miles away next day. I called BMW and was instructed to go to the nearest service center in Monrovia. I was told that I have to leave the car there overnigh and they didn't have a loaner car at that time. The service coordinator Tim even tried to contact another BMW dealer to see if they have a loaner. The answer was no. After that I decided to take a risk to drive the car, however, Tim didn't giveup. He called someone to run a quick check to see if it's safe to drive the car. After a while, I told that it's not safe to drive the car. Fortunately, Tim tried very hard to give me a loaner. When I went to pickup my car next day, He explained to me what was wrong and even walk me to my car. Tim Is very professional and polite. He tried very hard to help me. I am very satisfied with the services.

Tim Cheng was very polite, efficient, and helpful. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to make the experience stress free. I was pretty impressed as I usually dread going to get my car fixed. I had gone to a private mechanic last year and was overcharged. This time it turns out there was nothing wrong with my car and I only needed instruction on adjusting certain settings on my car. It was a relief to be treated in an honest and respectful way and I was pleasantly surprised as I was not charged anything for the inspection and all the time Tim took with me!

I went to Monrovia BMW for the first time and I had such a good experience I had to be at work soon so they took my car right away and serviced it quick gave me a good price and a car wash. The gentleman that helped me Greg Hernandez I believe made sure my car was done in time and it was. Very friendly sales and finance people. Only issue was they didn't have the second key fob nor offered to provide one. Buying process was too lengthy when paying by check. I've had much better experiences elsewhere so wouldn't recommend or go out of the way to refer this dealer to a friend. Car had ants all inside of vehicle and it took several days to rid them of them. Poor facilities and lack of space.

Having been in the market to buy two cars for my wife and I this past month (we had purchased hers 2 weeks prior), our experience at Monrovia BMW was most pleasant from the first call to inquire about a vehicle ('14 BMW 640i Gran Coupe) through the moment I drove off the lot in a vehicle ('13 BMW 535i) once purchased. More specifically, Joseph Mourad and his assistant Jerry, patiently walked me through my process of deciding which of their vehicles (there were many choices) was best suited for our current family needs. As a team, they thoroughly discussed the pro's and con's of each as it pertained to our situation narrowing it down to a few solid choices. Once the decision was made on which vehicle to move forward in purchasing, Bob (the Finance Dept. arm of the team), expeditiously ensured that our finance package was in order as it pertained to a trade-in vehicle all the more adding to the overall pleasant car buying experience. On the heels of our recent purchases, we do not plan to be in the market for a new car in the near future. When seeking out the next new vehicle, nonetheless, we'll be sure to start with Joseph Mourad at Monrovia BMW. We're happy that this is where we ultimately purchased a vehicle and if this had been where we had started the car buying process, we would have saved countless hours on lackluster visits to many (not all-full disclosure) dealerships and likely had purchased two from him. I was searching for used Ford Edge with low mileage on cars.com and came across a 2013 Ford Edge SEL that was listed by BMW of Monrovia. As soon as we arrived at the dealership we were greeted by Ray. We informed him we were interested in the trading in our 2008 Nissan Rogue for a Ford Edge. He let both my husband and I test drive the Ford Edge and we loved it! BMW of Monrovia gave us a better offer on our trade in than the Ford dealership we checked out previously did and also gave us a much better interest rate. We had an appointment for 7am and the vehicle was checked in close to an 1 hour later. I was never asked which phone number would be the best to be contacted at. When the service on the vehicle was done, my spouse was contacted instead. My spouse was working in the field and did not have cell phone reception until 3 hours later. I had to call the dealer to find out the status of the vehicle. When l arrived at the dealership, the service advisor simply told me to go to the cashier for my paperwork & wait for the Porter to bring my vehicle. He did not take the time to explain the work that was done, any issues, or recommendations. Jiffy Lube does! My vehicle had an issue with one of the tires, as per the paperwork,the advisor couldn't take the to personally tell me or call me to "advise" me...unless he called my spouse to advise? Finally, drought..no car wash, l understand, no free coupon for a 711 coffee? Toyota gave me a coupon for a Starbucks coffee instead of a car wash.

Although the dealership is undergoing a remodel, I was very impressed with a salesperson named Don Engle. We walked onto the lot last Saturday not sure which new car brand we would purchase . We had driven both the GMC Terrain and Acadia. And ruled out the Ford Exployer as options. Don Engle was friendly, informative, and new his cars. After test driving the X5, we fell in the love with the particular car we drove. Don was informative, no pressure and relaxed. We left the dealership and discussed buying the car at home that night. Sunday we called Don on his day off and he arranged a salesperson to take care of us. The purchase went smoothly, the Costco price was a great deal and we were never pressured to buy. Brie did a wonderful job of orienting us with the details of the car and Charlie our salesperson stand in were all wonderful! We would return , this was a great experience. The paperwork went smoothly and the deal was completed professionally.

This dealership is great. There are plenty of new and used cars that are all fabulous. Test driving is easy and low pressure. Don Engle sold us a car! He's a miracle worker! The plan was to stop in for 30 minutes and look around. We ended up hanging out and watching the Kentucky Derby together, drove a few cars around the block, and voila! We ended up with a beautiful specimen -- a 2012 528i. We never thought we would drive away with a car. Usually we think about a purchase like this for months, years even. This is truly unbelievable that we are Bimmer people. Thank you, Don! You rock!

Back in 2009, I had my heart set on a BMW X5 and decided to give Monrovia BMW a visit. The salespeople refused to sell it for under MSRP, so I walked out of there. I have since purchased my X5 from New Century BMW in Alhambra and my service advisor, James Chiu, has been taking excellent care of me and my family car. I get a loaner car when the service takes more than 1 day and James communicates with me regularly to let me know how things were going.My X5 recently broke down and BMW roadside assistance refused to take me to New Century in Alhambra, instead dumping my car in Monrovia. When I arrived, I was not greeted or shown where to go. I was completely ignored for half an hour until I made a loud comment over my cell phone and it caught the attention of one of the service advisers. Thankfully, this service adviser wrote up the repair invoice but that was all she could do. No loaner car. No assistance with a rental. No shuttle offered. Two days later, the repairs had not begun and I was stranded without a vehicle. I demanded to speak with the service manager and luckily, he did listen to my situation. The repairs were completed the following day. The people at this dealership need to realize that many suburbanites rely on cars for survival. Stay away from Monrovia BMW. Buy and service your car at New Century BMW.

I was in the market for a BMW, but wasn't too sure about which model I'm trying to get into. I walked in to Monrovia BMW and Charles Wu came up to greet me, he was a very friendly sales person. He was very patient on introducing a couple different models to me, to help me get an idea what I really want. At last, I set my decision on a 335i sedan, Charles guide me through the lease process and it went very smooth. I was referred to Charles at BMW of Monrovia by a family friend, who has been a long-time loyal customer and referred many satisfied customers to this dealership. Having just relocated from the NYC area to LA for work, I was in immediate need of a new car after having gone several years without needing to drive much at all. Not only did Charles communicate openly with me for weeks even before I had visited the dealership in person, successfully retrieving the exact model, color and premium package that I wanted on the car, but also made handling all of the paperwork a breeze once we got into his office. What impressed me the most about my experience at BMW of Monrovia was how knowledgeable Charles and the rest of the staff are about the cars as well as the financials. I did some comparison shopping at other dealerships such as Audi and definitely found Charles to be not only the most informed and earnest but also the most passionate about what he was selling. I am now a proud owner of a beautiful 425i coupe, and likely a loyal customer of this place for a long time.

Initially giving us a price, then contacting us with another and then taking out warranty for all 4 years on the vehicle. The prices he would give us got more and more expensive as we asked, same vehicle we were looking at with same equipment might I add. Hr was simply playing games with us. He w as not a responsible sales associate. The overall vibe I got from this dealership was horrible. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. WASTE OF TIME.

Don't buy a car at BMW of Monrovia. We just bought my wife a certified pre-owned 2012 5 series from Tomas Cervantes. They promised, in writing, to fix the 3 scratches on the car. They also promised to detail the car. They told us they would call us the next day to schedule. After a week and no call, we called them. They said they would call back. After ignoring us for another week and another call, they told us they had left two voice mails. That was a lie, which they later admitted to! Finally, we got the work scheduled and all they did was touch up - not "fix" the scratches as promised in writing. The work is not acceptable as it looks just as bad. As to the detailing, they vacuumed the carpeting. Since when does detailing not involve cleaning and dressing the interior and waxing the outside? Our salesman, Tomas, just keeps washing his hands of all of this. Service is everything. We also own a Mini Cooper and I can assure you, I will not take the bimmer nor the mini to be serviced by them.

Last time I'll be using this dealer for warranty service. RESERVED a loaner a week ahead, then when I dropped off the car was offered lame excuse about loaner not being available. Took over 10 hours to finish a routine oil change. Gave me a hard time about having to pick me up from my home that is 5 miles away, instead of apologizing for inconveniencing me. How am I supposed to get around without a car?! walk 5 miles in 100 degree heat?!

So I leased a BMW 128i at Santa Monica BMW (WHICH IS A WONDEFUL DEALERSHIP). I needed my plates put on and Monrovia was close to work so I called and asked if they would. They said yes. When I pulled up, no greeting, no customer service. When I finally found someone they asked me if I had the screws. How am I supposed to know that??? They continued to tell me that I needed to go to the parts department and buy screws!!! Unbelievable!! I left. I will drive to Santa Monica and they will never treat me like that. Bottom line: BMWs are awesome. Santa Monica BMW is awesome. This place should not be allowed to sell BMWs. STAY AWAY!!

BMW of Monrovia is nothing short of professional. I traded in my S2000 for a CPO 128i, and the dealer gave me a fair price on both the car I was trading in and the 128i I was purchasing. They were willing to work with me on price and were completely honest about the values of both the 128i and the S2000 I was trading in. They never did the "hard sell" bit, they never pressured me to make the purchase then and there and they were patient with all my questions. Elie and Neil both went the extra mile to ensure I was satisfied, and I walked out of the dealership knowing that I had absolutely made the right decision. I would (and do) wholeheartedly recommend this dealer to friends.

The 2007 BMW 530i I purchased from them is in pretty good condition. The one serious complaint I have is the car was sold to me with a BMW certified warranty but the previous owner was obviously a heavy smoker. The dealership did nothing to remove the smoke and when I received the car I asked the salesman about this which he proceeded to undermine the whole situation by telling me that "I did not notice the smoke which I definitely would have since my mother was a heavy smoker while I was growing up". As far as I'm concerned, this BMW dealership handled this the way one would expect a small, local, family used car dealership to do business. I have had the car for about 2 years and I am still trying to get the smoke out of the car.

This dealer was friendly, gave me the opportunity to test drive multiple vehicles, and leased a car to me at a very reasoanble price. So far so good. However, there is a hole exposed in the rear bumper because the piece that covers the hook used to tow the car is missing. It was missing at the time I leased the car, so they promised that they would order one and have it sent to me within a couple of weeks. Over a month later, I finally received it, but it was the wrong size. I went to the dealer and they admitted their mistake and promised to order the correct piece immediately. That was about a month ago. I hadn't heard from them since. When I called today, I was told that it was on backorder and that they had no idea if or when I would receive it. So now the deal that seemed so good at first doesn't seem that way anymore, since I'm driving a car that doesn't look very nice (with that piece missing). ALSO, because the piece they sent was too small, it fell in the gap behind the bumper when I tried to install it. I went to the dealer to ask them to remove it. They said that they would have to remove the bumper to get at it and that I would be charged for that "service." I pointed out that the problem only occurred because of their mistake (in sending the wrong size piece to me), but that didn't pursuade them to do it without charge. That is unbelievably poor customer service.

I came in too look at a certified preowned bmw that i saw online. I was helped by Ellie who was in charge of online cars. He was very friendly and assisted me with the finiance part. At the time i was not 100% sure if i was approved, but even so he help me look at other bmw offered at other dealers. He didnt have to but he went that extra step in helping me. That gave me the incentive to recommend my friends to buy their cars at monrovia. The paperwork process would be like any other place i guess. Overall everything was perfect and i drove the car home.

I went up to Monrovia from Newport Beach after seeing a 2010 535i on cars.com.After walking into the dealership, I was welcomed after only a few minutes wait by a Sales Manager, Tomas Cervantes. I test drove 2 cars and decided that I liked the 535i which I had seen on the Internet and started the negotiation with Tomas. Within 30 minutes, we had concluded the negotiations and we shook hands on a deal. The entire experience was professional and efficient. I can highly recommend the dealership and especially Tomas!

I dealt with three different service reps. The number one issue I have is with the service work performed on my car. The technicians are horrible. I felt since the work done on my car was under warranty they did the bare minimum. One time after I picked up my car from being serviced, as I was driving home the coolant light went off. My car had no issues with the coolant prior to bringing it there. Another time they replaced a bulb in one of my head lights. After that, I kept on getting condensation in the light cover. Apparently, who ever repaired the light didn't seal the cover which is the cause for the condensation. I took back a while after to get fixed and they would not fix it. Their reason is that too much time lapsed from when the light was worked on to when I brought it in. Also, there were several times when the tech forgot to reset the service light. There is many more reasons why I am unhappy with them but too much to type.

When I look for a place to get my car serviced I look for three things; Convenience, Quality of the Work and the People. Convenience- BMW of Monrovia is close to my home, but more importantly their hours allow be to drop my car off early and pick up late. There has never been a time I have had to wait for a long time for an appointment. Quality of the Work- With my busy schedule I can afford to have to take my car back to get things fixed. They are very thorough and get it right the first time. The People- This is my 3rd 7 Series BMW, so building a relationship with my Service Advisor is extremely important. Matt Clark is my advisor. Riverside sales team wasted my time, failed to keep promises, attempted to push me into models other than what I wanted and I walked away feeling disrespected- I told them so in a letter to management. I called Matt Clark for an appointment for routine service and he got me one the very next day! When I got there he assisted me with a car rental for the day in order to get on with my day! I was able pick up my car that same evening! It was a great experience. Matt is quick and efficient in getting what I need, to be able to be on my way!

I bought a used 2007 BMW 5 series that still under warranty back to 2010. The previous owner bought it from Monrovia BMW so I've decided to continue all my service there.Later on I purchase a BMW genuine 6-disc CD player from another 5 series owner and give it to Monrovia BMW to install, they spent 2 days and then tell me that the CD player is not compatible with my car, however they already worked on it therefore they have to charge me 300 bucks for the labor. I said fine, then take my car to New Century BMW to do the exact same thing and New Century were able to program the new CD player without any problem. Later on I got my 300 bucks back through my credit card company.One cold day the battery dead in the morning so I send the car to Monrovia BMW again because they are closed by. And they refused to replace the battery for me because they said from my record, "I used to have an incompatible CD player" installed on my car and that CD player constantly draining the battery!!! That was 6 months ago!!! I got really angry and walk straight to the service manager and he basically acting like a dumb and listening to my complain and said there is nothing he can do. Later on I send the car to New Century BMW and they replace the battery without any question ask.From my conversation with the people working in Monrovia BMW, they used to be ASSAL BMW and own by private party but now they are directly under BMW USA. And that's exactly why they have very strict warranty policy then any other BMW dealers.

Brought my nearly new CPO BMW in to have a light bulb replaced, and to have the battery checked. While my car was there, they also performed a recall service, for a brake booster hose replacement. This service was supposed to take one day, and it ended up being three days. When I dropped my car off, I asked whether I would be given a loaner vehicle, or at least be reimbursed for a rental car, and was told no. This was extremely disappointing, since this is something that is expected for this class of car; Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, all provide loaner cars to customers having warranty service done, and so do most BMW dealers. I also had to follow up several times with my SA to get status on my vehicle; not once did she call me to discuss what was going on with my car. I have now chosen a different BMW center to have my car serviced; Monrovia, you lost my business, and I will be sure to share my experience with as many people as I can.

The dealers were not knowledgable about the car. Their communication skills and overall customer service was very poor. They handled the contract agreement process very poorly and I had to go back and re-sign my contract for a mistake they made initially. I definitely do not recommend this dealership.

I went to the dealership and we agreed on $2000 down with payments of $468.52. The sales manager sent the wrong information over to the finance department and they charged me $3000 instead. I did not notice the difference until I received my credit card bill which had the $3000 charge. I went back to the dealership and they said they couldn't do anything to help me. They changed the deal on me without consulting me and sold me the car with a higher down payment and higher monthly payments then had been discussed with me. Even the salesmen remembered the deal we agreed on and I have the paperwork with the details of the deal still.

In my search for a Silver 2008 BMW 328i on the internet, Ike Inyama (Internet Sales Manager) was the only salesman who got back to me with a price that I could not pass up on. He showed me he was serious about doing business by picking out a car that met my expectations and knocking down his "internet sales price"...enough to where I was willing to drive 45 minutes to see him in person. He is a no games, no pressure, "I'm here to win your business" type-of-guy. He really knows BMW cars and gave me and my wife a good run down on the 328i. He made the car buying experience fast and friendly!!! I even checked on what customers were saying about him on the internet...and it's all positive!!! I would definitely buy from him again!!!

The WORST!!! Horrible, rude salespeople! One would think in this economy, people would provide good customer service. Not here! I have a new BMW that is still under warranty and had some simple questions about some of the controls in the car. I pulled on this lot on a Sunday and parked...and waited, and waited - as a man, who obviously worked there, took pictures of a car next to me. He looked right at me and continued to go about what he was doing, so I got out of the car, thinking that would let him (or someone) know I needed assistance - still ignored. I finally asked if there was someone who could help me. He said, "What do you need, service? They're closed today." I said, "Well, not really. I was just hoping someone could show me how to use..." He cut me off, put his hand in my face and said, "These guys work on commission." As I tried to explain that my car is under warranty and according to my contract I can take it to ANY BMW dealership with questions. He continued to interrupt me and told me to "get off his lot!" Really?? Is that how you talk to a customer? BMW North America will hear about this and so will the GM of this store. DO NOT BUY YOUR BMW HERE!!!!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Beware! In my opinion, the mechanics here are the ones that they write all those auto repair scams articles about. We went in for regular maintenance and was told we needed transmission work that ended up costing $1300.00, $900.00 of which they charged for 3 hrs of labor. The first day we got the car back, it leaked the whole contents of the coolant fluid on our garage floor. We were told there was a hole in the coolant tank and wanted to charge us another $135.00. Funny how before they had our car, there was NO leak whatsoever and afterwards, there's a leak sooo big that the whole tank is emptied out! Hey BMW of Monrovia, if you read this, you should make the hole smaller on the next victim so it's not so obvious you're the ones who created the hole! Bunch of crooks! Unfortunately, there's no way to prove anything. That's why you can't find anything written about what to do after you feel you've been scammed.

Spoke with Ike online, asked alot of question re a particular car advertised, he gave me all te info. immediately, availability, options, price, asked him if we could conceed a little in price, gave him a specific figure he said they could work with me arranged to meet him the following afternoon , he followed-up with a phone call the next am, got to the lot the car was there wainting for me sooo smooth a transaction, I have never had, everyone was super nice, polite and helpful, no pressure or deceipt tactics as has been my experience on other lots, got me the most awesome finance rate,I could have dreamed for, gave me brand new mats, a most excellent car in perfect condition not one scratch, 07 interior like brand new no scuffs, scars, and every bell and whistle, fully loaded, have shopped, 4 other BMW lots and not once have I seen, the particular car I was looking for in such great condition,for that price. I highly reccomed anyone looking for a BMR to ck out other lots, but don't buy, before you go there, their prices are soo great!!! You'll be thrilled, any many, many to choose from, You'll leaving feeling like a winner!!!! Weve bought many in this house,but this experience was outstanding!!!

To call these guys shady is an understatement. Long story short: I bought a certified pre-owned BMW from them that, a few days later, I found had extensive body work done. They did not disclose that work nor did they indicate it on any report. It is inconceivable that they did not know about it beforehand.After refusing to take the car back or do any reasonable reconditioning, I took them to small claims court and won a sizable award from the court. At least they paid the judgment promptly!BUYER BEWARE! Certified means nothing. Learn from my mistake and have any car inspected by an independent mechanic prior to purchase. The certification should provide you ZERO peace of mind.What's more, the car -- that supposedly had been certified -- required a few thousand dollars worth of repairs. The saving grace was the factory warranty, which allowed me to have it repaired for free from a DIFFERENT BMW dealership!

My BMW got totaled in a car accident in May 2009. Therefore the extended maintenance program I purchased together with the car was not effective by then. Therefore I asked for a full refund from dealership BMW Monrovia. I was told that my case was qualified for the refund but the money would be returned from BMW north America. So I called BMW north America. They also told me the same story, I can get fully refund from BMW Monrovia. During the past half year, I made countless phone calls, like a ball kicked from this side to another. After BMW north America coordination, BMW Monrovia finance department gave me a form to complete the progress, which was Nov 2009. 2 Months later, I still did not get my money back and dropped by again. Now the big boss showed up, arrogant, cocky and extremely rude, "If BMW north America told you that it was us who should pay you back, he is wrong. No need to waste your time here. You should ask them or Assael BMW (the previous owner of BMW Monrovia, who does not exist any more)." I am about to sue them to get my money back.

This is by far the worst buying experience ever!!!! I have purchased 5 bmw's in the past from New Century Bmw in Alhambra but they didn't have the cpo I was looking for. I went to Monrovia BMW and found just what I wanted minus the horrible experience. I had to go back 4 different times to sign a new finance agreement, they kept bs me about finding me better quotes, better rate and all that other crap that I now know is just a tactic for getting you financed any way they can and running your credit over and over again. By the time I signed the last contract I had already driven the car for 3 weeks. I had traded my previous bmw to get this new one. My trade was also a purchase and I still owed over 16k for it . I was upside down, and they asked for 5,000 down. The first time I signed the contract I gave the 5,000 and took the car. 3 weeks later I realized that my trade in was still in my account and that I owed a payment for the month, which they had said they had already sent a check and not to worry. One day before my car trade in car payment is due I called bmw financial and still the car was under my name and no payment had been made, I was told it was going to affect my credit since it was still technically my car. The same day I was supposed to sign another final contract again for my new purchase and I told Pearl the situation and she said go ahead and make the payment and well cut you a check when you come in. I made the payment over the phone and headed straight to the dealerhip after work. I signed the contract and asked about getting the money back for the payment I had just made for my trade. She said she would get it done not to worry, she had also promised to get my extended unused service warranty refund since my trade had less than 50k and I had purchased the 100k warranty. Weeks went by and no money back what so ever. I called the finance manager and he said he would look into it, and nothing. I had to constantly call back because he wouldn't call me back. About a month later Pearl was gone and so was my money. After purchasing so many bmw's in the past this was the worst experience ever. No one backed me up, I know it was my fault for trusting them but I had never had this problem before. I was expecting so much better from a bmw dealership. I would not buy another car from there if it was 50% off. I hate feeling ripped off and a year later I still feel angry about it. Their service dep. Is nothing to brag about either, they lost my key and took them 2 weeks and a half to get me a new one when they had said it would take 3 days. I got a free half ass detailing with dried dirt still under the back window wipers.

I purchased a 2002 BMW X5 certified pre-owned vehicle from Assael BMW, which now is BMW of Monrovia in 2008. I was interested in this car because it had a window sticker labled Certified Pre-Owned. After really getting on the highway I had noticed that the control arm bushing were bad, engine was making a whistling noise, brakes faulty, transmission was leaking, and the service engine soon light came on and off. I took the car back within a week to have these repairs fixed. The dealer would only fix the transmission, and said they could not duplicate the other problems. I spoke with almost everybody in the dealership about my concerns, I did not receive any help. I took my car back a total of 8 times within a year. Finaaly, after my warranty coverage expired they agreed that my car did in fact have these pre-existing problems. The service manager yelled at me in my face, and said, "you keep calling and comming back here and the answer is still no, and now your wasrranty is expired so there is nothing we are going to do. He told me I would have to pay for all repairs myself. At the time of purchase, I bought extra warranty coverage additional to the CPO warranty, and they would not honor the extra coverage for repairs. It seems as though this car was never a CPO vehicle because BMW of North America only had an enrollment date, but could not supply evidence that a CPO inspection was ever done on this vehicle. Also the high mileage would not permit this car to qualify, it had exceeded 2yrs of th 50k mark, which would have expired in 2007. When I purchased this vehicle, I was told by the salesman I would be able to see the CPO inspection checklist, and get a Consumer Information Statement. He told me that they have this information, not to worry, but they would have to locate it for me. After several phone calls, I was told that they were not the dealership who certified it, and I would have to contact the dealer who did the certifiaction. This was really sad, because BMW of Monrovia is the dealer who advertised this car as being certified pre-owned, which is false advertising.These are the issues I have had with this car purchase from Assael BMW/ BMW of Monrovia.1. I found out that the dealers license was expired.2. Carfax report said 1 owner, there were several reported on DMV VR report.3. Vehicle was involved in dealer to dealer purchase, which would not qualify ths car be a CPO car.4. Dealer failed to recondition car for sale. Sold me an unsafe vehicle for any highway.I am giving this rating so that others will not have to go through a nightmare like I have. Companies like this one should be investigated and dealt with to highest extent of the law. They are selling Lemon vehicles which is title branding and illegal. BUY BEWARE!!!!

Where do I begin. I have a 2006 550i, which was purchased new at Monrovia BMW. Because I purchased the car there, they must service it or you do not get a free loaner. I have had numerous service headache. As with another reviewer on this site, I also had my alignment done (again, not covered under warranty), but it took them three times to get it straight, and the sterring wheel to be centered. Next, I had front and rear brakes done, problem is they did not actually do the rears. They charged BMW for the rear brakes per the repair order (free to customers for 4yrs/50k miles) but did not actually do them. When I went to pick up the car, I challenged them on this. After insisting they DID do them, a more SENIOR service tech (actually a cool guy) looked and confirmed they did not. After several appologies, they "reprimanded" the original jerk that did the services and sent me on my way. Oh yeah, that was before the killed by battery. Oh yeah, that was again, before they changed my radio stations to some random hispanic station (NO LIE!!!) That's right, my preset had been changed to a spanish radio station. They appologized again and sent me on my way.That is only a sample of the frustration I have had with them. In the end, however, I did purchase the vehicle off lease from BMW, but did so through New Century of Alhamba! Got over $12,000 off the lease residual, plus CPO warranty, plus 4 new tires, plus first two payments free (up to $1,000 each), plus they let me skip my last two lease payments AND gave me 0.9% financing for 36 months. BMW and New Century rock! Monrovia BMW sucks !

Brought my 645cic in and they told me my rims were cracked and needs to be repaired. Rims are not covered under warranty. So I bought 4 brand new rims and 4 brand new tires. Two months later they told me my 530i rims were bent. This time all 4 rims were bent. I have never had cracked or bent rims my whole life with all the other cars I have driven. With them two cars with damaged rims in two months. I can't trust them anymore.
