(July 2019) Top Notch! First experience with BMW service and wasn't disappointed. Will perform some noted repairs myself as that is what I do, and can do. But I was impressed with professional and proficient encounter. Also sat down with sales to discuss possible purchase. Will update review later based upon total experience. (October 2020) So, here we are, one year later! And yes, I purchased a new vehicle, absolutely love it, and highly recommend BMW of Ridgefield! Every interaction was pleasant, the customer is treated above and beyond my experience with dealerships and expectations. There was a bump or two in the road, but BMW of Ridgefield handled it appropriately and to my satisfaction. Again, have used service and sales, very happy! I'm updating this as I await my vehicle being serviced (oil change) and thought to revisit the post.

Just purchased an X3 from BMW of Ridgefield. Our salesperson was pleasant and knowledgeable. The financial person was equally nice. At pick-up, a tech went over all of the car’s features, added our phones and provided a good overall review of the car. Drove it home and it handled very nicely. Pleased with the purchase and experience. Addendum: Just had our one year servicing. Staff was wonderful and they even send a video of all the things they checked. Very happy with purchase and service department.

The overall car buying experience was excellent. Jack P was incredibly knowledgeable about the cars and every aspect of the car buying process. Jack was able to find a way for me to purchase and drive a new 2022 car the same day which otherwise would have taken months to receive. He was incredibly professional and courteous. Daniel, the finance manager was honest and fair with us. Taking delivery of the car was a great experience. And, of course, the car is fantastic. I recommend giving BMW of Ridgefield a visit if you’re looking to buy a car.

My 230i contacted BMW of Ridgefield. I received an email, called, and got a quick appointment and a loaner. I had a short list, in addition to the oil, cabin filter,and key fob batteries my 230i wanted. Service checked everything, fixed it all, and again returned the car cleaned and shiny! Perfect. I had a great experience: scheduling was easy, the repair team fixed the issue, and communication throughout the process was excellent. Everyone there is very nice and eager to help. Because the repair on my car was taking longer than expected I was given a loaner car for the entire time it took. All in all, 5 stars.

When it comes to car buying, the experience with sales associates and overall feeling of the dealership are everything. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of care provided by our sales associate Ramon Felix. He is personable, informed, and exceptionally considerate, truly a pleasure to work with. When it came time for purchase a vehicle, my experience with other members of the dealership staff was outstanding as well. Every detail from car preparation, DMV paperwork filing, and the final car inspection were of the highest quality. Though we were purchasing a pre-owned vehicle during our visit, the experience was as if we were driving a new car off the lot. I cannot say enough nice things about the dealership, staff, and sales associates. I will recommend BMW of Ridgefield to anyone looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle.

He listened to my endless wants and desires, negotiated me an unheard of price on the perfect car, made it completely painless, and then Azi in financing made the paperwork super easy. When you go to purchase a car, most people have a negative stereotype about car salesmen walking into the dealership. However my experience with Vicente Ballesteros was one of joy. He was extremely patient and friendly while I had to step out and make calls to the appropriate people before going through with my purchase. He was kind and courteous, answering all of my questions and handling any doubts I had. He was able to get me the best possible price for both the vehicle is purchased as well as the best price for my trade in.He went out of his way to make sure my purchase was handled with the upmost care and he treated me with respect the likes of which where above and beyond what was expected. My wife saw a 135i for sale at this dealership. She had a 128i and loved it so she did not want to go up to the 2 series. We live near Princeton NJ. I was skeptical when I called the dealership and asked if they would stay until 8 pm since this was the earliest we could get there. Ramon Felix stayed late and took excellent care of us. We were looking to buy an All Wheel Drive Wagon, as an extra car for our snowy CT winters. Found a used 2007 BMW 328xi wagon on the lot in Arctic Blue after driving by on a Sunday night. The interior was in amazingly clean condition, with beautiful tan leather and 70k well maintained miles. Beautiful burl wood dash, bluetooth, moonroof and split folding rear seats. After contacting dealer, made an appointment to bring in our possible Mini Cooper trade and to test drive the vehicle. Assigned to David Quaglio, we initially test drove that car, as well as a sedan they had on the lot. We also tested other cars including an Audi Avant Wagon via another dealer and did some research, but there was no comparison. As a previous BMW owner, I knew there wouldn't be. David was kind, personable, and very knowledgable. The only way to buy a used car, really, is through that brand's dealership. And because this car had been serviced there, it was a slam dunk. After two days of haggling first over a trade (which we decided not to sell), David came back with a great deal as a straight buy as we asked. The car was prepped and ready within two days. Here's where the difference happens in buying a used BMW, versus just another used car. When the car still showed some dirt in the trunk area, after their detailing/prep, David made sure it was cleaned up properly by speaking to the detailing manager before leaving the garage. He also ensured we received our second key fob and provided an owner's manual for the car, only days after one for an X3 had been placed in the car. Just two examples of how BMW ensures every buyer, even one buying an older used car, is treated well like all BMW customers. This dealership is well run and we'd recommend David to anyone in the market for a new or used BMW.

I work in the area and decided to drop in a see their used car inventory. I was kindly greeted by Vicente and shown all the vehicles within my budget with no pressure to go over. Recently purchased a used X3 from BMW of Ridgefield and found the experience to be excellent. We live over an hour away from the dealership. My wife stopped in to the dealership when she was nearby and met Vin Ballesteros. She test drove the car she was interested in and left the dealership. We liked the car and were very happy with the price. Through phone calls and emails we were able to complete the sale and pick up the car at a convenient time that fit our schedules. Vin was exceptional at answering all are questions and ensuring that our pick up went without a hitch. The experience was a total success. Everyone was professional and helpful.

I leased a 2015 BMW X5 ( 2500 down and 887.00 per month) car is great Dealership lacking in customer service.Having been a previous lexus owner I was pampered with great customer service. BMW does not give a loan a car for routine service. In fact when I scheduled my first appointment I was told my expected wait time for the service would be an hour and a half. My appointment was scheduled at 9:30 AM and an 11:00 AM return of my car. I called customer service to let me know I would be dropping off my car the night before and picking up my car at the scheduled pick up time of 11:00 AM. I was told my car would not be ready at 11:00 AM since a car dropped off the night before is not prioritized as a client waiting for his car. I found this policy to be totally absurd. The dealership would have the car ready if I waited but not if I dropped off the night before. This has not been my first bad experience with the dealership. I live much closer to the Darien BMW dealership but leased my car at Ridgefield BMW based on their representation to me of their outstanding customer service.My original service rep Dan Root left the dealership the day after I signed my lease agreement. VInny the replacement rep is a great guy and I have only good things to say about him and his work ethic. I would recommend not using this dealership ...On a side note

purchased a Certified Per Owned 2012 BMW 528XI, the day I picked up the car it was just before the dealership closed and as I was driving it home I noticed an Awful smell in the car and when the heat was on it got stronger and stronger, I called the salesman that night on his cell phone and explained the issue to him, he told me to bring it in and they would need to have it for 24 hours to get the smell out and would give me a loaner car. after they had it for almost 2 days I picked up the car and the smell was overpowered by what ever chemical they used and I could not tell if the smell was gone untill later that night it came back, I again called right away and they told me that they would take it in again and take care of it, this time they had the car for almost 3 days, whe I got the car back again it was a strong chemical smell and after it wore off the smell was still there. (car still has a bad smell)The second problem was the car had a very Loud noise from the engine that was a knocking noise and would get louder and louder as the day went on, I had 2 people ask me if my car was a Diesel it was so bad, I could feel the sterring wheel shaking and felt the vibration in the floor boards. When I brought it in the top service technician (Cory) he came out front to listen to my car and in about 10 seconds he said that is normal did not pop the hood or get into the car and there was a loud traffic noise from the busy road. I asked him what I needed to do and he said there is nothing I can do beacuse it was normal. I told them that I would have to bring it to someone else because I knew it was not normal and a few people who are mechanics one of which worked at a BMW dealership for 16 years before going into his own business told me it was not right to have that sort of vibration when you can see the engine itself moving, and the car stalled 2 times then he said they can take the car for a 24 hour test drive and see if there was an issue so I agreed and again they put me in a loaner car for almost 2 days, when I returned they told me that there was nothing wrong with the car so there is nothing they can do, I got in my car to leave and the gas light was on because they drove it and left it on empty, wasnt sure I could make it to the gas station.I then called my salesman Jack and the Certified Per Owned Manager KJ and told them I was not happy with this car with the Awful smell and the engine noise, and the car stalling while driving. I told them that all I wanted was what I bought nothing more nothing less, KJ told me that they could do that but that I would loose money on my car and the new car would be more money, so I explained I have not even drove the car because it has been in their shop more then I had it, so how could I loose money and have to pay more, and just my time I had to take out of my day from work was costing me money, I was so stressed out over this I could not eat right or sleep right, and they were still trying to get another sale out of me, making more on the car I had already bought, I was not happy with that and told him that I was not happy and he said that there was nothing he could do.I then called the General Manager Ed McGill and left him a voice mail of my problems and explained to him I was not happy, he then had KJ call me to set up a meeting to discuss, I went in and explained to them that I do not want to pay any more money or any less money I just want the car I bought, they still would not admitt that there was an issue with the noise or the smell, so they tell me that they were going to put me in a 535XI which is a step up from my car and that the payment would be just a few dollars more, at this point I wanted to get out of this car because of all the issues and was so stressed out that I told them ok and I would look at the car, now I never asked for a 535XI they were the ones who put it out there and said it was a great deal, so I drove the car and told them that I liked the car but it was not the color that I wanted and that was very important to me, they tried to pressure me into it and told me to think about it and call them the next day on what I wanted to do, I called them and explained to them that I did not want that car because it was not a color I liked and they again tried to push it on me, I again told them I just want the car I bought the 528XI in black with around the same miles and same options with no increase in payment. they told me that I would need to wait for one to come in and that it may be a few days. I waited a few days and could not deal with the smell and the noise of the car which I was not sure if it would stall again while I was driving it so I called the salesman and he said they did in fact get a black 535XI in and that it was still a few more dollars which again I agreed to because I needed to get out of this car not knowing if it was safe and having to deal with the smell.The next day I was going on vacation and told them I would pick up the car on Monday more than a week later to pick up the car so they could go through the car get it ready and have everyting ready to go for me, they told me that if there were any issues with the financing that they would email aand call me before I got back. I did not get any calls or emails from them so I assumed that everything was good and that they were going to be ready.I get to BMW Of Ridgefield on Monday with all my belongings packed in a bag so that I could move into the car quickly because I had an appointment for the car to get tinted in which the guy rearranged time for me, I had just got back from vacation and was very busy catching up with everything and was looking forward to signing the papers and getting on with my life as normal before the purchase of this BMW. I go over to the salesman and also see the CPO manager and they are acting like they do not know what I am doing there and then proceed to tell me that they will arrange to have the car ready for me another day and I was so upset at this point because it was made clear that they would have everything ready for Monday pick up and if there were any issues they would contact mewhich they never did, again taking time out of my work day I got there at 3:00pm the time I had an appointment for and tehy were not ready, so they rush to get everything done and then the finance guy told me that he had to run the numbers, then he told me that they could not get me approved for the loan at the same interest rate and that it would be higher, again I explained to them that was unacceptable and I do not want to pay more for the car and do not want a higher payment than what we agreed on, he then told me before I leave to wait and he would call the banks and ask them for a favor to lower the rate, he came back and told me he had great news and that he got a lower rate and that they were going to adjust it so that the payment would be the same. so I agreed and I waited for them to draw up the contract and paper work, they got it set and called me back into the office to sign everything, I started to sign all the paper work and then we got to the contract and as I looked it over I saw that the down payment was a lot less than what I had put down on the first car and asked them why that was and he said that it does not matter what they put in that field because the number finaced was the main thing, I explained to him that I had got $12,00.00 for my trade and put $3,000.00 in cash down bringing it to a total of $15,000.00 take away the taxes and fees to register the car so I knew it would be a little less but it was only showing $9084.00 down a huge difference and also the new finace charge was $5,000.00 more and over a longer period of time. I paid $36,900.00 for my first car and they were selling this one to me they said for $37,700.00 which would make that almost a wash, but how was I extended on the months, paying more for a finace charge, paying more on the monthly payment and showing a huge amount missing from my down payment.At this time they had already got me a new regerstation,switched my plates, washed the car and switched over my Insurance, it is now 7:30pm and they again try and get around it and pressure me into signing it and try to tell me that it is the same thing which it was not the same because the numbers all changed. I was very stressed at this point, had been there for over 4 hours with out eating because it should have been a quick thing, and told them I am not signing the contract because they mislead me and tried to play a numbers game with me. so they had to switch over the plates and everything and I had to leave in the car that had all the issues.

I found a Porsche that I liked and had been searching for 6 months nationwide. I liked it enough that I wanted to buy it online no questions asked And close to asking price. I did my research and it was overpriced by $1500-1900. They Refused to Sell me the vehicle until I persoanlly Walked in the door to look at it. That was a month ago and it is still sitting on the lot And they have not budged on price. They could have sold it a month ago if They were more up to date on the car buying process. They were worried Not For My best interests but their own!

Went into the BMW of Ridgefield as a formality. I had planned on buying a CPO A6 and my wife encouraged me to test drive a BMW 5 series before I made that decision.Between the test drive and the level of service I received from Vinny Ballesteros, I was an almost instant convert. Vinny was helpful, knowledgeable and was a low pressure salesman.Would do business with Vinny and with BMW of Ridgefield again in a heartbeat. I have another BMW dealer 20 mins closer to my home than BMW of Ridgefield and am happy to make the extra drive for such quality service and professionalism.

Met Kelly and asked what I need. She doing it and got approved at lowest percent loans not what I expected and totally surprised. Traded my 2004 Trailblazer LS for 2009 HHR LT. Value of trailblazer really disappoint so I have no choice to trade it because of lack gas mileage. So one week later I loved HHR and best gas mileage I have in very long time. Very poor relationship with customers. The only reason I can see that they have thrived is that they sell a great brand. I would gladly have driven 30 miles to any of the BMW dealerships if I knew that this one does not stand behind their sales or service. No sincerity in promises or value for customer loyalty. Very sad that they foster the stereotype of a 'used car salesperson'.

I have been enjoying my Audi that I've bought from BMW of Ridgefield, and I'm really happy with the experience I had here. After seeing service lights appearing on the dash I contacted Dan, and without any hesitation, Dan told me to bring the car back and assuringly, informed me that everything will be taken care of at my convenience. When I drove the car back, I was greeted by Dan and his service advisor, Thomas Pearce who took my car in for service, and was given a loaner car. Thomas informed me that they will be transferring my car to Danbury Audi for official diagnostics/service. This was yet another effortless, excellent transaction performed by BMW of Ridgefield. After a couple of days, I was contacted by Thomas, and my Audi was back on the road! The team here goes beyond their ways in fulfilling customers requests and desires. Many thanks again!

I was searching for a specific used Jetta TDI when I discovered one at BMW of Ridgefield. Personally, I HATE going to used car dealerships and putting up with cheesy salesmen. I wasn't thrilled with the thought of going to a BMW dealership for a used car...but, BMW of Ridgefield changed all of that. The car was priced competitively and was in outstanding condition...the VW was prepared and treated in the same quality of the $110k BMW parked in the showroom. David Quaglio was professional and respectful to me and what I wanted to accomplish. I did not intend to purchase a vehicle when I initially went to BMW of Ridgefield. I had a few other vehicles I was interested in at other dealerships...but, due to the professionalism of BMW of Ridgefield, the quality of the used VW I test drove, and the negotiated price, I was extremely comfortable to agree to purchase the vehicle. David was great to deal with from stepping in the door to leaving with the vehicles (and the follow up contacts to ensure I am happy with the car). If I need another car anytime soon, my first inventory I would check is the BMW of Ridgefield web-site. Thanks David for a great buying experience.

Brian is an excellent sales person, because he doesn't come across as someone who is 'pushing' you to buy. Instead, he comes across as a good listener; someone who has recently purchased a car (similar to the one we were interested in) and is enthusiastic about telling you why he likes it! He has a great smile and a good sense of humor. Empathy is the key to all good relationships, and Brian understands how it feels to be a 'buyer' vs. a 'salesman.' Without losing his professionalism, he was able to share some of his own experiences, which made us feel comfortable. He has patience; no matter how many times we asked him to explain something we didn't understand, he did so -- as if he had all the time in the world just for us. Brian has obviously done his homework. We found him both knowledgeable and trustworthy.

The lease on my last car was about to end, so I started the painful task of researching new vehicles. I had been a loyal Audi enthusiast for the past 13 years, and was leaning towards getting another Audi. I decided to stop by the BMW of Ridgefield dealership on a whim one weekend just to see what they had to offer. I was very impressed with the clean and modern appearance of the showroom, as well as the broad selection of vehicles. Client Advisor Brian Barry was the first to approach me. He was very warm and welcoming, and spent several hours with me discussing various options -- he even provided snacks and drinks! Brian allowed me to test drive a new 3 series sedan, and then helped me build the car of my dreams (a gorgeous 2013 328i XDrive/M Sport Package/Estoril Blue). Brian proved to be very friendly, knowledgeable (and patient!), and worked with me and his team (KJ and Hout) until we were able to agree on pricing that fit within my budget. My new car is simply stunning -- fast, smooth and handles like a dream. Making the switch to a new brand was a really big decision for me, and I would like to thank Brian, especially, for making it an easy one. I highly recommend Brian Barry and BMW of Ridgefield.

If I had to sum up my experience with the BMW of Ridgefield with one word, it would have to be "indifference". I am genuinely surprised to see such glowing reviews on this site, for my personal experience was more in line with the poor reviews on Yelp, which I feel are more accurate reflection of reality. I went to this dealership to purchase a new BMW 320xi. When I started shopping around, I requested quotes from multiple dealerships, incl this one. Jason responded to my inquiry and I found him to be sharp, yet fairly flexible. However when I went to dealership in person, I was assigned to Brian Barry. Brian couldn't be less interested in me. He didn't seem to know things you'd expect a sales person to know off the top of their head, and had to involve Jason here and there. His overall demeanor was screaming boredom. After 2 hours of dog and pony show, with Brian running "to speak to the manager" (a tired, but not retired tactic of all car salesmen), Jason came back to me with a price I was willing to pay. Papers signed, the car will be delivered in late August (I ordered a 2014 model) and off I go. That was on Saturday. On Monday of next week I called Brian to inquire about a short term lease as I need an extra vehicle for the summer. When I introduced myself to Brian, he sounded totally bewildered and mystified by my persona as if we never met. Not exactly a warm and fuzzy feeling, but I digress. Brian tells me that he will find out whether they have a vehicle I can lease from them for 2-3 months. A week goes by - nothing. I email Jason, hoping he could answer a simple question. Never heard back from to this day. Brian, however, did email me to say that his dealership cannot take a such a loss and offer me a loaner. This isn't even what I was asking for!!!! So I informed Brian that I was looking for a short term lease, not a loaner. Oh, says Brian, let me find out and get back to you. That was in June 15th. Today is June 27th and, needless to say, I have never heard back. Very disappointing experience, to say the least. 6/27/2013 Update - not even 10 minutes after I posted this review, Jason called me. He apologized profusely for not responding to my email. He had followed up with Brian, who assured him he was handling my inquiry (not!!), so Jason considered it case closed. Fair enough.Jason also offered me a possible solution to my extra vehicle problem, and even though his solution doesn't work for me, it's at no fault of Jason's. At least he tried. I also asked for and got the VIN of my future ride and now can track my car being built online.(WHY didn't Brian even mention it was possible and call me when the VIN became available? Something else I had to find out and get on my own...)During our conversation Jason brought up a small detail I only casually mentioned in passing during my visit to the dealership (my upcoming trip abroad), and it was a very nice, personal touch... I no longer felt as a faceless wallet, and that's a big deal. HUGE.While nothing will change my first impression of the BMW of Ridgefield, I have to say that having spoken to Jason made me feel a lot better about the whole experience. I, too, work in retail and was very impressed with Robert Mahoney. He spent a lot of time with me and we talked through all of the options that were available for the vehicle. We also test drove several different models. He explained the differences between all the vehicles that we test drove and was patient when I asked him detailed questions regarding each vehicle. When I ultimately purchased the vehicle from him, his follow up was excellent and everything was in order when I arrived at the dealership. He called me several times after I drove off with the car to make sure I was happy and that all of my questions were answered.

Working with Brian overall was easy & smooth. he followed up as needed and was knowledgeable about the process. I would recommend him to my friends & neighbors in the future. Brian gets a "5" in all of my ratings. I did not give a 5 in all of mine, because of the lack of knowledge of the finace team. Not the end process, he was obviuolsy good, but when something goes slighlty wrong in the process & no one else has an answer and the deal may not happen because of BMW error and not the consumer, than that is a problem & not something the consumer needs, 1 day before the transaction is to occur.

The lease on my current car is about to end, so I started the painful task of researching new vehicles. I've been a loyal Audi enthusiast for the past 13 years, and was leaning towards getting another Audi. I decided to stop by the BMW of Ridgefield dealership on a whim over the weekend just to see what they had to offer. I was very impressed with the clean and modern appearance of the showroom, as well as the broad selection of vehicles. Client Advisor Brian Barry was the first to approach me. He was very warm and welcoming, and spent several hours with me discussing various options -- he even provided snacks and drinks! Brian allowed me to test drive a new 3 series sedan, and then helped me build the car of my dreams (a gorgeous 2013 328i XDrive/M Sport Package/Estoril Blue). Brian proved to be very friendly, knowledgeable (and patient!), and worked with me and his team (KJ and Hout) until we were able to agree on pricing that fit within my budget. My beautiful new car is currently being built, and I will accept delivery in the Spring. Making the switch to a new brand was a really big decision for me, and I would like to thank Brian, especially, for making it an easy one. I highly recommend Brian Barry and BMW of Ridgefield.

Im writing in response to your request for comments after we recently purchased a used car at BMW of Ridgefield. We arrived at the showroom hoping to buy a used car, 2008 Toyota Yaris. We come to find out that the car was manual eventhough it stated automatic online. Brian was very professional a decided to let us know what else it was available. He showed us around and pointed us to several models, such as BMW, Toyota, and Audi to name a few. Eventually, we decided to purchase a 2000 Chevy Prism. During this experience, Brian was outstanding in the courtesy, friendliness, and accommodation he showed us. He exerted no pressure on us and listened with unusual skill to our comments. He handled the negotiations with professionalism for a final price, provided us with drinks and snacks, and sincerely answered all the questions we brought up. The worst. BMW dealers has long been known as being almost aloof, as a testament to the quality of cars they're selling. This is an attribute that a buyer gets comfortable with, a feeling that this dealer doesn't need my business and I have the privilege of doing business with BMW. In contrast, Ridgefield BMW feels like a used car lot on Queens Boulevard, or the real estate offices in Glengarry Glen Ross . My experience... I went to their website, found a car a liked, sent an email. I swear, it was less than five minutes before someone called - not an email response - but called me. Great, right? I'll continue succinctly. I told the salesperson, Carol, that I'd come see the car on Saturday around noon. I was driving 150 miles round-trip, mind you. I called and spoke to Carol at 10:00 AM and confirmed the appointment. I drive to Ridgefield BMW, meet a confused, unprofessional Carol who tells me I can't look at/test drive the car because a deposit was put down on it, drumroll... That very morning! Now this took a contortion of lies to pull off because it couldn't be pulled off... That someone put a deposit on it the day before? That someone - amazingly - between 10:30AM and Noon on this Saturday put down a deposit on it? Or, that to cover either lying or incompetence I was lied to again. In response to this - no apology - but this from Carol: "That's why I wanted you to get here sooner". Yeah, makes no sense. Of course, a dealer that would call back an inquiry in three minutes would likely call to say a deposit has been put down on a car and not to drive 150 miles to see it. Not Carol, and not Ridgefield BMW. Now gets better... Carol wisely stepped away from my seething and fellow named David stepped in. A nice enough guy, knows his s**t, take a couple test drives, etc... Then I see a car I want, like enough to buy, and want to test drive. After waiting a half-hour for David to find keys he returns without them, informing me that not only are the keys missing to this car but the spare key is missing as well. Of course, this points to some weird stuff going on here - a lender to a salesperson? Who knows, but it's fishy and ugly. What's worse, no one here could really care less about any of this. I was there to buy a car, like right there. Anyway, it's a dreadul operation - that's my experience - and worse, there was never a phone call, nothing, apologizing for this experience. I'll never buy a car here and I'll let eveyone know - my sister is a Ridgefield resident - to stay away.

When it comes to dishonesty - this dealership defines it. They attempted to force me to purchase a car because they accused me of scratching one of the cars in the lot that they had taken me out to see. I wrote the GM a letter to give them feedback on the unpleasant experience I had who then contacted me via email and asked that we sit down to discuss this. When I said that I was more than willing to meet in person, I never heard back from him.If you're looking for a trust worthy place to purchase or buy a car my strong recommendation is to look elsewhere. This dealership is definitely not it.Update 09/30/12: After this post I was contacted by the management of the dealership. To the Principals credit he asked me to come down and discuss what had occurred with him. I did and there was agreement that the dealership staff could have dealt with the situation better. What is reasonably encouraging is that they were willing to listen to feedback. On the whole I am still very cautious about this dealership though if another interaction is required we will see if anything will have changed (I still own and plan on keeping my 3 series BMW; in addition I am still on the market for another car).

I orginially went in to get my car serviced until they gave me a 2012 5 series for a loaner. It was almost done from there. I inquired about purchasing a new 335 coupe and sat down with Jack. Instead of trying to push me into buying something right away, he informed me of the new body style for the 3 series. He showed me some pictures and told me to go home, research it and take my time. It was love at first sight. I went in a couple of days later and we discussed pricing and options. Both Jack and Ken were very easy to deal with and gave me a very good deal. Face it, business is business and if you want a killer deal, I'd say go to KIA or Hyndai, but you will not be driving the Ultimate Driving Machine nor recieve the kind of FIRST CLASS SERVICE as you would get at Ridgefield. EVERYONE is friendly and accomadating no matter what you're in there for. EVERYONE has an answer for you. They will literally drop what they're doing to make sure you get an answer for something. Their new facility is amazing. Their staff are not bias or judgemental and will give everyone the best and fair treatment. They're Client Advisors and not Car Salemen for a reason. It's because they're not there to just sell you cars. I can promise anyone that. They'll only do the deal if and when you feel you're ready to purchase. It's because of these guys that I'll probably be in a BMW the rest of my life.

Service department was more worried about trying to sell me tires rather then addressing my original issues. Not a single sales employee, including one of the managers could help identify a warning light that appeared on my dashboard. Overall, I would steer clear of this dealership because the staff is very unprofessional and many of them lack the basic knowledge needed to represent a highly respected company.

The entire process from initial visit to car delivery was fantastic. James did an excellent job of understanding our needs and working with us to not only find the car but the financial package that best fit. He then took the time to explain all the workings of the car, the capabilities of the service department and the dealership and continually followed up to make sure we were satisfied. After about a week we had a problem with the Satellite radio. Called James, he got us in immediately and had it fixed (needed an update) in less than 10 minutes. Definitely will recommend James and Ridgefield BMW to all my friends.

He took care of everything from hooking me up with an insurance agent, to researching the car to istruct me and show me how evrything worked. We worked with David Qualglio. It was an absolute pleasure. We never felt any pressure to purchase a car, however, when we did decide to buy, he made the transaction quick and fair. He stayed with us after the dealership closed to insure that we only had to return to switch cars. We returned to pick the car up a few days later. We could not get to the dealership after closing. Because the quantity of cars(2011 BMW328i x-drive sedan w/ manual transmission) are so few, my web search led me to this dealership & David. I am in Cleveland (OHIO) & couldn't find a good candidate for my wife's next car. I truly spoke to sales people in probably (15-20)States, then David in CT. From the start, he was extremely pleasant to deal with, straight forwarded, asked all the pertinent questions to find the car that fit our needs/interest. He provided good/timely info, answered & explained potential concerns, found(2)cars, and offered them at very reasonable prices . However, my wife couldn't see herself in "another Black" car, since she has been driving "Black" for the past (12) years. David offered us a third car (Silver); however, it came with more options then we desired. Although we didn't end up purchasing our BMW from David, this is the only positive review I will be posting. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had and I have bought quite a few cars. I was looking for a reliable commuter car for my long commute to work but I also wanted a good looking car with a great price plus lots of bells and whistles. After talking with Ken Ly about my 'wants and needs' he found me a car that met all of my expectations. I bought a certified pre-owned BMW with extremely low mileage and it was in excellent condition. I worked closely with Kelly Grant throughout the buying process. She was friendly, knowledgeable and patient.I have my car for nearly a year now. I have tripled the mileage without any issues. My Wife and I had the best experience in BMW of Ridgefield. After having a BMW 335 for 3 years it was time for a change. We was in the market for a BMW M3 Competition package and compared prices in the Tri-State area. BMW of Ridgefield is about 65 miles from our home in Astoria Queens and was the dealer with the lowest price; we was looking for the best price but what we din't except was to meet such a nice and professional people. David Quaglio really helped us understand the entire process. He wanted me to test drive many BMWs but our mind was set in the M3 coupe. We took the car for a real test drive, not like in other dealers (just around the corner), he explained in detail the entire vehicle. I appreciate his true knowledge about cars, We are a performance orientated client and it was very rewarding to know that we was in good hands. Vehicle out front waiting upon my arrival. Kelly provided superb orientation to vehicle, negotiated professionally, and deal was struck. Azi is the master of painless paperwork. Vehicle picked up next business day and prepped beautifully. Kelly spent one hour orienting me to vehicle and called next day to see if there were any questions. I would recommend this dealership primarily because they ( James, Azi Parvez,the Fin.Mgr.,and Ken, the Gen Mgr) all work as a team to make sure that you're absolutely comfortable and satisfied with your choice of vehicle. I felt no pressure throughout the process and wasn't subjected to the all too common sales tactics that I've encountered elsewhere. As a former very satisfied customer, I brought my daughter to your dealership, ONLY, when she expressed an interest in getting het first BMW! She ended up leasing a 328xdrive sedan which she absolutely loves! I was extremely impressed with the way James dealt with my daughter..guiding her through the purchasing options, trade-in procedure, and answering all her questions in an honest and straightforward manner. At this time, I was passively looking for a new vehicle and I asked James to "look"around for me. As I had very specific requirements, I wasn't too sure that he'd be able to find my dream vehicle....but in very short order he did and the rest is history as they say. My 328xdrive coupe with standard shift, my colors, and a fair price have, once again, made me a very satisfied returning customer. I recently traded my 2004 BMW 545i for a 2007 BMW 550i from BMW of Ridgefield. My experience there was very pleasant. Even though the car I bought was used, when I received the car it looked like it came off of the showroom floor! All of the staff there are courteous, friendly and extremely knowlageable about the fine cars they are selling. I can't tell you how any times in the past that I have gone to other dealerships to which I know more about their product than they do! My sales associate Bob was a virtual encyclopedia about BMWs...it was GREAT! He called the next day to see if everything was up to my expectations...are you kidding? It has been my experience over the past 40 or so years that buying a car is, at best tolerable. James managed to so raise the level of all of that and do it seamlessly and always with a smile. He worked to get Sue the car she wanted, at a reasonable price, helped her turn the lease car in, gave her advice all along the way to make the process run as smoothly as possible. He never pressured for an upsell but never failed to point out things that might be advantageous and always pointed out clearly what was going on. The true icing on the cake was the actual delivery process. Due to some scheduling issues, my wife was unable to get up to the dealer to pick it up. No worries, James came down to us to finish the delivery process. At no time did it ever seem like he was doing anything BUT answering questions and providing necessary information. He was patient, thorough and knowledgeable (quite the rare trio!!) When the garage door opener sync ran into a small snafu, he kept at it till it was done properly.That kind of service and attention to detail is a very big deal to us and remains the reason we come up there from Norwalk.

After 27 years of driving a company car, I decided to take the plunge and treat myself to the car of my dreams. I live in NY, but was lured in to Ridgefield by an interesting lease opportunity I saw advertised. I had the good fortune to get David Quaglio as my salesman. I'm positive I drove David crazy, as the thought of finally having to buy a car was extremely daunting to me. David was patient, kind, and unbelievable helpful during the 4 hours I was there. I test drove several cars, but at the end of the day (1 hours past closing time), I still could not commit, and left.David spoke with his manager, called me 2 days later, and made me an offer I couldn't refuse....I still did. I researched BMW's on the internet, called everyone I knew who might know something about BMW's, and cars in general, went to other BMW dealerships, but came to my senses several days later. David, and Ridgefield made me an extraordinary deal. I now own the car 2 months, and could not be happier.I call David to ask for help on "little things" about the car, on many occasions, and each and every time he gives me the same attention as someone who has not yet bought a car. I can honestly tell you that David went above and beyond the call of duty for me on this purchase, and I feel confident that he will always be there for me should I need ANYTHING in the future.Now this is what a car salesman should be, trustworthy, kind and helpful!!

I was in the market for a new car. I had some ideas about what I might like to have. I was also down sizing from two cars to one. I had a Mustang for performance, and a Saab for utility, economy and winter driving. I also had to have a car that looked great. After looking at Auddi, Merceedes, Infinity, VW I tried the BMW. The car filled all my expectations. All wheel drive makes it perfect for winter driving, twin turbos sure gives it performance, four doors and a big trunk makes it great for my trips to Maine, the navigation (new to me) is very interesting, I traded in my Saab and now I can sell my Mustang and just enjoy one car. I did not intend to buy a car that day but Jim made leasing a luxury car sound possible for me. I think I will have a long relationship with BMW of Ridgefield.The Rev.Cr, George Crocker

I came into the dealership for information on a BMW 335xi and was looking to replace my current 3 series. I went over all the information with James. I was not planning of making a purchase but he was so kind and gave me a great price that I didn't need to wait any longer. I love working with James because I never feel rushed. It's nice to feel good about buying a vehicle from someone I trust. May I add that James even drove to my house to put my plates on my new car. I bought a 2011 328xi because I didn't need the bigger engine which he explained to me. Saved me some money which was a plus.

I recently decided to upgrade my honda for a new luxury car and was kind of on the fence between a BMW and an Audi. The BMW Ridgefield dealer showroom made my decision lot easier. James was my client advisor who was attentive to all of our needs, listened to us and surprisingly turned out to be more knowledgeable about the car than I had anticipated.He quickly helped us narrow down to a set of options that both my wife and I were looking for and gave us a good price for the trade in as well.I should mention that even though we were sold pretty much at the end of our discussions with James to go for the bmw, I still wanted to check out an Audi to compare. And, what a comparison it turned out to be. We returned back to BMW ridgefield same day to sign up for a new 328i xdrive.I tend to look at statements like 'we will take care of your needs, call me anytime' etc with a pinch of salt but James followed through on his commitments each time. I usually get a response from him on my emails in less than 10 min. He even called me back on a day that he was off, certainly felt good.After signing up, we worked with Azi to close out financials and he was great to work with. Azi is very pleasant, takes time to explain everything in detail and again follows up on every item be it on a phone call or email.Overall a great beginning, look forward to a consistent and similar experience going forward.

This is my overall impression of this dealer since my order in 2008. Dealt with Bob Mahoney. He was enthusiastic, thoroughly knowledgable about his products and a pleasure to work with. At the time I ordered the car, I specified a sport package but asked that the wheels/tires be downgraded to the regular all seasons. Bob said this could be accomodated and we placed the order. Three months later the car arrived from Germany (after a really long EPA approval delay in Newark), but with the wrong wheels/tires. Bob was mortified with the error. They worked with me and eventually I bought a second set of deeply discounted wheels and put snows on them. Every time I've seen Bob since, he has apologized for the error three years ago. The service department is solid, and has continually improved over the time I've owned the vehicle. I don't remember the names of the service advisors well enough, but Steve, who I've dealt with most recently, is very courteous, professional and values his customer's time. Over the past year or so, the dash of my 2009 135i started to show the outline of the airbag on the passenger side. I no more than mentioned this in passing to Steve on a regular service visit. He said he'd look into it, then called to say they would replace the dash as a warranty item. I never expected that, because there was certainly nothing functionally wrong with the dashboard. Now my three year old car has a new dash. Most recently, on another regular service visit, I started to mention that the matte coating on my steering wheel had peeled off in a couple of spots. Steve stopped me midsentence and said he knew all about this problem, and would replace the steering wheel. I get my new wheel next week. Finally, as my car approaches the expiration of the warranty next year, Steve has shown me the schedule of upcoming service for my car so I can be sure to get the major brake service done under warranty, just before it expires. This is my first BMW, and I appreciate this service; I have not seen anything like it from the three Audi dealers I have dealt with in the past. The only negative... the wait for a service loaner has steadily increased over the past three years from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

After enduring the worst possible ownership experience at a competing litchfield county dealer on my 5 series; we were prepared to quit the brand altogether. With some inquiries we decided to try bmw of ridgefield. Upon arrival we were introduced to James Skarzenski,who with patience and product knowledge surpassing associates twice his age put us at ease, and found a solution to our needs. James exhibits a genuine desire to help clients find the perfect car as well as a passion for the brand. I also give him highest marks for communication and transparancy. Trading every three years or so will add up to many cars; and I hope James will be there for those sales. I cannot close without mentioning finance manager Azzi; who demonstrates extraordinary friendliness,professionalism and knowledge. I look forward to working with him many times as well. Kudos also to the owners for keeping the dealership clean, and organized in the midst of a major addition-renovation and for choosing skilled,talented individuals to represent you.

Asking a customer to pay for $2500 car repair with cash or a certified bank check is unreasonable---particularly when we have made credit card payments all along. The car is only three years old and the car is in the shop all the time because the engine light comes on consistantly--- with a recent failure of the turbo. The car has been serviced many many times due to the engine light coming on during the warranty period. I get a sense that the dealer waited for the warranty to expire so that this costly problem is funded by the customer. I recommend that BMW of Ridgefiled remove the sign that claims "a coffee maker is more costly to maintain". It is unfortunate that BMW corporate will not fix the turbo issue. BMW recalled these cars for the fuel injector pump issue but I imagine there are other customers who have or will have a similar turbo issue. If we had known that there will be a $5000 repair issue before 100,000 miles, we would not have purchased this car or we would have purchased an extended warranty---which would be less than this one repair project.

Working with James was fun and productive. I wasn't sure what I wanted and within 2 hours, we narrowed it down, after test driving 2 cars. He listened, and came back with relevant suggestions. I ended up in a 2008 certified pre-owned with 15,000 miles on it, 328xi. I love the car. One thing to note that was slightly unsettling. James was up front that he would try to sell me a NEW car instead of pre-owned for the same price. He came back with a loaded 2011 328xi, and when he explained the financing option, after paying about 400 a month for 5 years, I would still owe $17,000 on the car. This was called "Select Financing" and I found it to be ridiculous. I could not believe that he was selling it with a straight face, but I guess that it works for some people - not me. I came on the hottest day of the year and they were having a barbecue sales event. I made it clear that I didn't want to wait on line, did not want to eat, but merely wanted to do the deal. They understood that and immediately introduced me to James who personally attended to me the entire time, even though he could have been part of the sales promotion. Nice job there. James was fantastic - highly recommend.

Prior to moving to the area, I had a bad experience with a dealer in Long Island. It would take a month or more to get a service appointment and my car was never ready when they said it would be. On my first service visit I told Steve that I loved my car, but so far hated my dealership experience. I believe my exact words were... "They sucked. I hated them. I don't want to hate you. I love my car, but I will change the make on my next purchase if this is not a good experience."They have not disappointed! Steve is the best service professional I have ever worked with. He's got great "car-side manner." He totally understands what is important to his clients and treats everyone like they are the most important one coming through the door. Earlier this month, we bought our third certified used vehicle from Kelly Grant. She is a fantastic sales professional and understands our needs. She listens to what we want and delivers exactly what will fill our criteria. I love my X5 (the second one we've gotten from them) and my husband loves his 528xi. I put 160K miles on my last car and had no maintenance complaints. My husband is thrilled. His last car was a new Subaru... or as I call them Suba-booooos... and was constantly in the shop. For the same money, he's got a reliable certified used vehicle that over delivers in style, luxury and performance. We are really happy. Can't wait to see the new building.

I highly recommend Jack and BMW of Ridgefield for great service and a great deal. I ordered a new X5 from them at the end of 2010 and had the most pleasant buying experience I've had in 15 years of car shopping. It was the attention to little details, like having our license plates ready to go when we picked up the car, that made the difference here. Also, they didn't play games during price negotiations. Most BMW salespeople I've dealt with have such an unrealistic approach to pricing and are usually quite difficult to deal with. Jack, on the other hand, was quite straightforward, responsive to calls and emails, and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely think of him first for our next car purchase.

Having purchased or leased a number of vehicles over the years from other manufacturers, I found the sales process to be more pleasant and less stressful ... with the kind of caring personal interaction I had not come to expect from auto sales personnel.In the past three years, I have found the Service Department to be equally committed to providing outstanding customer service. I was looking for a 5 series manual loaded and looked for about 3 months. I went to multiple dealers who didn't have what I was looking for and when I went to see James at BMW of Ridgefield he took down my information and called me when the car I wanted arrived. Took 2 weeks for the car to arrive but James was the only sales person who called me back out of the 5 dealers I visited. The price and communication was great. I will come back to see James for my wides car

We really wanted a CPO 328i and were having a hard time finding the right one at the right price. James spent a lot of time digging around the inventory between Ridgefield & Bridgeport. The communication was good and he was very honest and diligent. We finally found a 2011 service loaner and bought it! Had the car serviced once so far and they staff was fantastic.

Although I absolutely LOVED my Audi All-Road Quattro, I would not go back to Danbury Audi because the Service Dept. was awful. So I bought a BMW and have been delighted with my salesman, and all the people in service for the regular visits.I recommend this dealership highly to anyone looking for a BMW as they were very fair in price matching and have been competent, courteous, professional and completely honest in all my dealings; sales and service. What more can you ask?

Seems Dan Casey isn't very good for business. I took my car in because of a shake in the front end. When I picked it up less than I mile from the dealer I found the mirror wouldn't adjust. It had worked the morning before dropping it off. Went back to say my mirror was not working and Dan first said no one drove it. The service tech said they had. He told me no one moved the seat. My wife drove the car in and the seat was all the way back when picked up. Dan said no one moved the mirror. I know things can happen, and I think I understand what did happen. The mechanic moved the mirror manually and broke the pin. It was more that Dan couldn't make stuff up fast enough without even checking with his staff who kept contradicting him. Not only wouldn't he take any responsibility, but sent me an email offering a "good price" to fix it.Now I'm ready to buy a new car and because of Dan I'm concerned about going back to Ridgefield. One quick note, I did contact Ed the owner and he did offer to fix it. Too bad he doesn't realize the effect Dan is having.

We had a flood here in CT and my engine took water in. It needed to be replaced costing $12,108.00. After just over three weeks I got a call that the work was complete and the car road tested. Seven miles was all I got when the same warnings popped up that ultimately indicated I needed a new engine. I went straight back and they blamed it on coincidence. A few days later I got a call that it was ready again when I got in the car the miles to empty indicated 10 miles, NO gas. Three weeks later engine light on again and again, coincidence, NO WAY! The day after I took it in got a call, new turbos, ha I'm sure they replaced them with the engine. I was told the parts were located and two days out. A week later I had to call them and now I'm told they just started the work. This is a day after the promise date. DO NOT go to this dealer for anything. There service department is run by Dan Casey and he'll say anything truth or not. I didnt buy the car there because they totally low balled me on my trade-in. Do not use this place for anything. You'll be sorry.

I was hesitant about going to Ridgefield because it is "high rent district," so to speak. I also read some bad reviews but they were dated before the new owner came in with his staff. The prices there are no different than any other BMW dealership and it's a first class experience. I haven't been in for service yet but my friend who recommended I go there said the service manager is new and top notch. They also bought the dealership in Bridgeport not long ago. Not as nice as the Ridgefield place but was told they're upgrading.Overall I know 4 people who have leased or bought a car from Ridgefield and have heard nothing but good things. Looks like the new owners have changed things around for the better.

got a diagnostic for steering wheel vibrations;paid what they asked for;problem not solved.returned in 5 days got another diagnostic ;they wanted another $800 to "fix" the problem;lost confidence in their ability to service the car.decent customer service;poor technical skills.do not expect to do "whatever they can to make you happy"i wanted to purchase a new (bmw) car soon;i think it will be an audi s5 or nissan gtri expected a much better experience especially with the technical part......ultimate driving machine.....inexperienced mechanics.....

This is a follow up from the previous review.I stopped by the dealership and spoke directly to Bob Zimmermann (Service Manager). I told him the story about my wifes experience a couple of days before. He was extremely apologetic and proceeded to follow up on what happened. He arranged to get us a loaner and set up an appointment. All in all very professional. Thank you Bob, you have reinstated my firm belief that BMW is all about Quality and Service.

I had a problem with the sun roof on a Sat. afternoon and drove to the dealership.The service dept. was closed but a very nice salesman tried to help me out with the problem. He couldn't get it closed so he suggested that my wife return on Monday morning at 7:30am when they opened. She arrived at the dealership spoke to the service department rep. and explained the problem. She also explained that she had to travel to NJ for a meeting that morning. My wife inquired about a loaner (which the salesman said would be furnished)the service rep rudely said "We don't give loaners, we rent them" My wife said that would be fine if it was going to take a long time to repair. The service rep. said it wouldn't and to have a seat in the waiting room. One hour later my wife went back to the service desk to inquire about the car. The service rep (chatting away with one of the people she works with)stated that the car was completed, they would bring it around. Ten minutes later, my wife inquired again about the car. The service rep rudely said "it takes a minute to bring it around". With that she hands my wife the key. No paper work at all, when my wife is driving she hears a noise from the sun roof, its not closed completly. The switch does not work. Overall a very bad experience. I am going back to the service dept. today to speak to the service manager about the problem. Will post my result.

I saw a car for sale on line, and live in the VA area. Robert did a great job describing the car, and sent me additional photos via email. <br>When I arrived the car was better than described, the financing was still available and the owner met me. They over extended themselves throughout the process of test driving it, thinking about it and getting me out the door with the car. By far the best used car experience I've ever had. I highly recommend this dealer, and plan on going back to them to have a 6-CD changer installed and Lo-Jak as well. They are worth the drive out of the Metro DC area! -Walt
