Predatory lending at it's finest - a little long winded post, but worth the read. My wife and I recently bought out our lease and originally purchased the vehicle at another Ford dealership. Decided to use Bob Thomas as it was just down the road from us rather than driving 1.5 hours. Shame on me for not reviewing the purchase agreement prior to having the check cut from our bank. I assumed it was a straightforward car deal and they would appreciate the car sale for their forecast and dealership performance from the manufacturer enough to make this easy and worry free. After a review of the purchase agreement, they added a shadow marking ($300 add-on fancy name for window etching stickers) to our car deal. Mind you, nothing said we had to bring this vehicle to Bob Thomas to sign the paperwork nor did they ever ask us to make sure we brought the vehicle in so they could pull it into the service department and install the window etching. In fact, they told me I would be in and out in 15 minutes which further confirms they had no intention of adding the window etching to our vehicle. Just goes to show you even when you are helping a dealership out by giving them an additional car deal they will still try and screw you over. Not sure if they saw an opportunity of my wife coming in by herself and thought was an easy $300 for them to make. Unfortunately for them, I read over the agreement and am familiar with car deals enough to spot predatory lending when I see it. Buyers beware, just when you have a little trust in the automotive space, they always show you why you shouldn't. I'm sure they will just say it's default added to every car deal they do, and slipped through the cracks. However, any honest business would never charge you for a service they didn't perform and would make sure they didn't. They know they had no intention of adding this to my vehicle and wanted to make a quick buck. Hope this helps future customers when deciding whether or not to choose Bob Thomas Ford.

Beware! the prices they list on their website is not the actual price for the vehicle. Tried to charge us 2k more then what was listed. Shady shady.

I will give 2 stars based on a previous experience but the last was enough to send me running. They are not willing to take responsibility or even follow up on a major brake issue that left us stranded in another state after our vehicle was last serviced by them. No concern and only excuses. I did give a day to see if they might follow up on the issue but they chose not to. Do not recommend service here.

Mr. Robinson was terrific to work with. He was very informative and helpful and never pushy. He and his manager worked with us the entire way to make the sale work for us. Nikki was great to work with in completing the paperwork. Would buy from them again in the future.

Ryan Johnson and everyone were great. However I had no desire to trade cars but the problems my 08 towncar was having pushed me into the trade. However, had a problem been taken care of properly in December of 2014, I might not of had the problem that brought about the trade. Moisture was getting into the AC and heating system that probably caused the failure of the system. It took from 12/15/14 to 2/26/15 to correct the problem. John Elliot is aware of all of this. I should have pushed harder to get the problem fixed, but I am not a pusher. Also at that time I had just lost my wife and had a hip replacedso my mind was on other things. I have no complaints about the way I was treated. But I do feel the problem could have been fixed sooner and might have prevented the problem that brought about the trade. But we don't know that for sure. It is a strong possibility. Anyway, your staff is great.

Buying a car is not always a great experience. It can be nerve wracking and painful. Our experience with Bob Thomas Ford was nothing like that. Matt was very helpful rigjr from the beginning. Answered our questions, had car waiting on us to test drive. The entire process was smooth and relatively quick, no complaints ar all. Will definitely recommend Bob Thomas dealership to others and will be a return customer.

Ryan and Nikki made my recent car leasing experience an exciting and pleasurable experience. The expertly helped me with choosing the model, features and even the color of the car, guided me through unfamiliar process of leasing a new car and worked with me in order to lower the amount of the payments to comfortable level. All in all it was fun!

Matt and Nikki made buying my new Escape and awesome experience! They were both so friendly and helpful from the time I walked in until we were finished. I recently decided to trade in my 2012 Ford F-150 and went to Bob Thomas Ford West in Fort Wayne. My salesman was Matt and he did a spectacular job in finding me a truck for my price range. He went out of his way to help me in a slight finical situation too. The service and welcome I received there was great too. I also want to send a word about Nikki who did the finical paperwork too. She helped me with the final paperwork and with a few extras that I wanted with the loan. She worked hard to keep my monthly payments as low as possible. I will surely refer Bob Thomas Ford to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. As a side note I work at a GM (but not for General Motors) truck plant that makes similar vehicles but they do not come close to what Ford makes in the truck market or the service I have received at Bob Thomas Ford over the years having my other F-150's serviced.

After more than 2 years of on & off car shopping, we finally found "the one!" Our salesman, Jim, was excellent -- no pressure, just superb service from beginning to end of the shopping & buying experience. He & Nikki stayed several hours past closing to finish our purchase & financing, and remained patient & gracious about having to do so. Nikki even let us text her later to provide an important document we forgot to bring along to complete the financing. Unlike many dealerships these days, we were able to stay with one salesperson from the moment we walked on the lot until we had the keys in hand and drove away in our new vehicle. We really appreciate NOT being handed off to a pushy supervising sales manager as soon as we're ready to negotiate! And the negotiation process was the best ever... the car was priced right from the start, and it didn't take long at all to reach agreement on a fair value for our trade-in. This is the way car buying should be!

Went online, saw a fusion I wanted to test drive. Matt emailed me back asap to come out for a test drive. Couple hours later I was driving it home! Great customer service! WAY To GO Matt and Nikki!!!! I want to thank everyone at Bob Thomas Ford (West) for making my wife (Sue) and my (Terry) experience of purchasing a new vehicle enjoyable. From the moment I posted on line for assistance in finding the right vehicle with a Nissan Murano trade-in, Matt contacted me immediately.. Both my wife and I had the flu and Matt understood, allowing us to recover. I wish to congratulate Bob Thomas for hiring excellent personnel (including the individuals we later met in the Service Department). After Matt discovered we were interested in the Ford Escape he assisted in helping us build our own unique vehicle He explained all the features of the car and helped us select the ones that were right for US. With his professional style (without being pushy), we looked forward to the continuation of the process. While we test drove Matt had our Murano appraised allowing us the experience of being alone to discuss likes and dislikes as we drove. We both fell in love with the experience. Once we agreed on the cost factor it was on to the finance department where we met Nikki. Very professional: When we left her office we had a clear understanding of our new lease program. We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Bob Thomas due to this experience. We will recommend them to our family and friends.

I had done my research and knew I wanted a used Fusion. By using the Cars.com app on my phone I had it narrowed down to 3 or 4 Fusions that I wanted to look at and/or test drive. My wife and I went to Bob Thomas West because it was closest to where we live and they had a good price on a 2013 red Fusion. We honestly did NOT plan on buying a car that day. I had talked to Matt Wilson on the phone and set up a test drive. When we got there Matt took us out to the Fusion, opened the driver's side door, explained a few things to us, then gave us the key to take a test drive. I fell in love with the Fusion. Reading the other reviews on this site there seems to be a common theme - Matt is not pushy and does a good job of explaining things. My wife and I found this to be very true! Another thing I liked about Matt (and I told him this to his face) is that if he didn't know something he would go ask someone (manager, finance manager) or look it up - he wasn't afraid to admit if he wasn't sure about something - personally, I love that! Soooo, we bought the car! Nikki, the finance manager, is funny and personable and did a great job of explaining the money stuff to us. She got us terrific financing too! I mean really, from beginning to end this was a great buying experience. I Couldn't Be Happier with Matt, Nikki, the Fusion, and Bob Thomas Ford!

I have not purchase a new car in 15 years. There are many stories about the difficulties encountered at car dealerships. I was not looking forward to this. What a surprise when I talked to Matt on the phone. Professional without being pushy. He picked me up st my residence and drove me to the dealership. Once there, his professional, easy going style put me at ease. He showed me the car I was interested in, let me test drive out, continued the sales process and we had a deal. The Finane person, Nikki was the nice, straightforward, personable and completely professional. She took me through the paperwork, explained everything, made sure I understood and signed me up. I congratulate Bob Thomas on his excellent hiring. I was even take to the service area and greeted by equally friendly people weloming me and congratulating me on my purchase. It diesn't get any better than this!

matt and nikki were excellent nikki made sure I HAD A CAR TO LOOK AT when I got there gave me instructions on how I could trade in car and end my lease and lease a brand new vehicle they took very good care of me got me approved and picked my brand new car off of show room floor bob Thomas has excellent staff and service personal I would highly recommend any one to buy from bob thomasand I will continue doing business with them thank you very much for my new car

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WAY I WAS TREATED I WASN'T PRESSURED OR FELT LIKE I WAS PUT ON THE SPOT.PRICE AND OVERALL VISIT WENT VERY WELL.I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK.TO RESCUE A GMC IF IM SHOPING FOR ANOTHER TRUCK.LOL.I TRAVELED APPROXIMATELY 55 MILES AND WAS WORTH THE DRIVE AND I'D DO IT AGAIN.

Matt was a great salesman. Was very friendly and was not pushy. We knew what we where looking for and he did not try to push us into something we did not want. Explained everything in detail and understood what we where looking for during the whole buying process. Best salesman that I have every worked with. I would recommend him to everyone I know and would go back to him for my next purchase. I would recommend Bob Thomas Ford to everyone. Hope Matt can get to a Notre Dame Game soon he earned it!

Our salesman ,Matt, explained everything to us on the Flex, before we took the test drive. On the test drive, he explained some other things we needed to know about the car. He explained all of the features of the car, and helped set up the Sync feature with our cell phones. He was able to get us a good price for our trade in, and the information needed to use the Friends and Family discount. The financing department was very helpful in setting up our loan and getting us the best loan for us. We were very satisfied with our experience working with Bob Thomas Ford and would recommend them to family and friends looking for a new vehicle. Thank-you for the pleasant buying experience.
