Flew in from Phoenix, picked up at the airport right on time as promised, deal completed and I was on the road home in 90 minutes. Best new car buying experience in my life, at 70, there have been many. Best price on a new VW Beetle Dune I could find in the country. Drew in sales and J.D. in finance could not have been more professional/courteous, My wife could not be more pleased with her BEETLE. Truly a 5 STAR transaction.

We stopped by the dealership and was looking at the 2016 Golf. Met with Evko Yakimov and test drove the car. Sat down and worked out the purchase. The experience was excellent and a no pressure sale. My experience at Bommarito was the best experience I have ever had at any car dealership. I met with Mike O'Connor as soon as I pulled into the lot. I explained my situation to him, and he immediately had a plan to help me out. Between Mike, JJ Greenwell (Sales Manager), and Adam Schmidt (F.I. Manager) I was able to walk away with an excellent vehicle that met every specific need for my situation perfectly. Sent an online interest form asking if a car was still available. Received three emails back quickly after. One of them was "Price Quote For The Vehicle You Requested". Called to let the salesman know we would be stopping by. When we arrived that vehicle had already been sold. He told me two of the emails were automated, but didn't explain why he decided to omit the detail that vechicle I inquired about had already been sold. Very unprofessional. Thanks for wasting our time.

I went in to search for a Jetta, and worked with Jon Larose. He is knowledgeable and helped us with the different trim levels and packages. He also allowed us to drive and witness the difference in the engine options. We were very satisfied with our service and the level of time and care we received. Jon is an outstanding salesman with the personality to go with, and made the whole experience relaxing and easy. The dealership as a whole is ran professionally and with your time in consideration. I was searching for a TDI wagon, and the local dealers all treated me like they were doing me a favor by selling me a car. I am a Purchasing Manager, and I'm used to being treated as a respected professional. Demitri Karagiannis went above and beyond getting my car ready for us to inspect and buy on the way to vacation. We even stored our other car there for a week to pick up on the way back. Five star service all the way, and we will be back (from Ohio) to buy our next car.

My wife an I bought a 2015 Tiguan (to the tune of $31,000) in June of 2015. As of today, 9-8-15, they have had this car for 3 weeks, plus an additional 9 hours we spent in their waiting room, as they did nothing but "look" at our car's radio/backup camera display, which sometimes doesn't come on as it should. I understand that from a mechanics point of view, intermittent problems like this are a nightmare to fix. And had this been a $20k Kia, I would expect them to not do anything because they can't duplicate the problem. However, when you pay the extra money for that "German engineering" you would expect them to at least change something. After talking to other VW Techs online, I even made a suggestion as to what to change, however they have obsessed on duplicating the problem again ( I say 'again' because they saw it fail once in their service bay. As soon as the mechanic removed and reinstalled the radio, it started working again).They had us in their waiting room for 9 hours on 3 occasions, during which time they replaced the radio, which unfortunately did not fix the problem. Since then they've had the car for a total of 3 weeks on two occasions (the first of which we were told we'd have a loaner but it never materialized. The second time we did get a nice little Passat.), during which time they changed nothing. Ok, they did wash it but I can guarantee that is not going to fix this problem.I know that 'throwing parts' at a problem is not the best option. However, when there is no other option, that's exactly what you have to do. Or you can just blow the customer off with some B.S., tech tip about the display not coming on right away. I think in this situation, 'right away' means 30 seconds or less (I have yet to actually see this tech tip but I'm fairly certain it is not going to apply to our situation). When our display fails to come on, in most cases it comes back within 5 - 10 minutes of driving, although it has been for as many as 5 starts.Their treatment of this problem is nothing short of ludicrous. You can bet that this will be my last VW and I'll certainly never deal with Bommarito again. While everyone at Bommarito was great to us, their service department should be renamed "Car Wash Department."John Carbonniere

I stopped at Bommarito Volkswagen on my way back to Kansas City after the holidays. I was very interested in a 2013 GTI I viewed online because the price was about 4K lower than the same car in KC. Dylan was great to work with. He took me on a test drive and even though I did not have my trade with me worked with the Pre-Owned team to get me a sight-unseen best guess on a valuation of my trade to make sure it was worth my while to return with the trade. I received a follow-up call from Dylan the same afternoon as well as one the next morning asking what time I would be making the trip from KC so he could have the paperwork started and have the car detailed and ready for delivery since I would be making a return trip the same day. When I arrived at the dealer with my trade the value came in about where I expected--a fair price based on having the values I received in KC--and we were able to work the deal out. For better or worse--I'm a compulsive car buyer. This purchase was 5th in the past 6 years (3rd new) and was among one of the better experiences I've had. Buying (especially trading) a car between 2 different cities could have been a nightmarish experience. I grew up in St.Louis proper and did not have the best impression of Bommarito prior to this experience. The low price got me in the door but it was the thoughtful followup drew me back across the state the next morning. The careful and attentive service I received from the Volkwagen team and specifically from Dylan made the process as painless as possible and has converted my perception of Bommarito from one of relative indifference to a place I would send a friend.

They told me the O2 Sensor was bad and replaced it for $440, but wrote MAF Sensor on my receipt. I don't know one sensor from the next so I thought it was another term for O2 Sensor. When the OS2 sensor went bad just 2 weeks later, they wanted to charge me $750 to fix it! Needless to say, they just lost a good customer.

Went in for check engine light thermostate replacement, and noise from the engine compartment. A few hours later I receive a call from service stating the noise is from a bad AC compressor, the check engine light is due to a bad cooling fan. Was quoted over $2,000.00 for the repair and I had already paid up front for the thermostate. I told the department to just replace the thermostate and do nothing with the ac or cooling fan. They said okay and it should be ready to pick up at the end of the day. The end of day came I called to check on the status and they said it would not be ready until the next day. The following day I checked on the status and was informed that the noise was not the ac compressor but instead the alternator, and that he would get with the service manager to work a special price due to my experience. After making calls to repair shops, most on average were at least 1/3 the cost with the same warantee. I'm real glad I did not have them replace the AC with the first phone call. This is not the first bad experience I've had with Bommarito St. Peters, just the first time I've written a review. While the car was under warrantee and in for the scheduled 30,000 service, which the brake system is to be inspected, everything checked out okay is what they told me. Aproximatly 2 weeks went by and I noticed a noise from the rear brakes, the service writer told me that due to the damp conditions the noise was from rust on the pads. A few weeks went buy and the noise turned to a grind. Took the car back in and was told I needed new rear brakes and rotors. I could of lived with the brakes, but the rotors could have been saved had they just did the inspection when I took it in the first time.Service has not been the only negative experience with this dealership, the initial delivery did not go smooth and ended in a loaner car while the one I purchased was being made ready with options to be installed that were paid for.I will not be using Bommarito St. Peters for service or purchases in the future. I just don't have faith in their compentance.

I highly recommend Bammarito in St. Peters because of our experience with salesman Chris Fehr. Prior to deciding to buy from Bommarito I had met with a salesman I did not care for. After visting some of the other VW dealers I went back to Bommarito due to the convience of their location and this time met Chris Fehr. That changed everything and Bommarito was our choice. Chris was great, low pressure and worked hard to get us a deal that we were satisfied with. I recommend Bommarito VW because of our positive experience with our salseman Chris Fehr!

I wasn't approached by anyone for 5-10 minutes when I first walked into the dealership, so that was a little disappointing. After finding someone, however, I asked for Carl and Carl came to help fairly quickly. He was great to work with, didn't pressure me at all, and was upfront and honest about the car and the sale of it. Everything went very quickly and smoothly. I'd highly recommend this dealership and Carl to anyone who is interested in a VW. The guy I worked with in the finance department was also outstanding.

Bommarito is one of the worst dealerships I've encountered. They haggled me severely on price. Their answers kept on changing. I finally ended up signing a lease with Ed Napleton Honda. I've done business with Napleton in the past and have always had a smooth sailing experience from their service dept to sales. Don't go to Bommarito is you want to be harrassed. Make a beeline for Napleton.

Our experience with the Bommarito St Peters dealership was great. We were searching for a specific package (CC Lux Limited) and color (Candy White) in a 2012 VW CC. We found the car (CC Lux Limited) at the Bommarito St Peters VW dealership on the web, contacted salesperson Carl Berger and within minutes were quoted the price we had in mind. Over a period of only 2 days we had a purchase agreement, secured the car and purchased airline tickets. We arrived in St Louis 10 days later. Carl picked us up at the airport, delivered us to the dealership and introduced us to our new Candy White CC Lux Limited. Finance manger Trent Galaway had the paper work ready for review and signatures. The cost identical on the paper work agreed to the penny to that agreed to over the phone; the paperwork was in order and ready to sign. Following the completion of the paperwork, Carl spent the next 60 to 90 minutes introducing and reviewing with us the many extraordinary features of the 2012 CC Lux Limited. Carl was well-versed with the product features and extremely patient with our many questions. Within 3 hours of arriving, we were ready for departure and eager for the (approximately) 6 hour journey home. Carl and Trent were tremendous representatives of the St Peters dealership and the VW product line. I've purchased numerous new automobiles over the years and had never experienced such a hassle-free automobile purchase. We were treated like long-time customers and made new friends instantly. The environment afforded us the opportunity to be excited about our new car and our decision to travel out of state to make such a purchase. On a scale of 1 to 10 our experience was 11 + and we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our CC on the road-trip home.

My experience was great with the dealership, especially our salesman Andy. I was in touch with him via phone prior to driving there. We checked to see if the vehicle was in stock. He confirmed it was and called back before close to ensure it would be there before we drove a few hours there the next morning. This was the best service from any salesman I received at a VW dealer. I had called others previously but never received a return phone call. Andy also went over the features of the car with me and showed me the ins and out. He did not act rude and disrespectful as they did at another dealership close to them. That was appreciated more than anything. Thank you Bommarito and especially Andy!

My son had done internet research on vehicles for me, and Greg responded by email. I liked the information I had about the Jetta wagon, and when we drove from Columbia to drive one, Greg met us and was very helpful and knowlegeable. He took time with us, we drove both the diesel and gasoline models, he answered all our questions, and never made us feel rushed or pushed.Greg was able to locate a red model for me, and when I picked it up on Wednesday, was prompt in meeting us, and very thorough and patient in explaining all the features of my car.The first new car my husband and I bought was a brand-new VW Beetle, in 1960, and the second was a VW bus a few years later when our family was growing. It's nice to be back in a VW.Thanks for a nice car-buying experience.

Dan was very knowledgable about all the technical aspects of the volkswagon diesel, where it's made, how long they've been making them etc. Also Dan knew all the features and could explain differences and how to set them up. While waiting for Dan, JJ was very helpful also explaining the benefits of buying from Bommarito. Trent did a good job of getting all the data together & explaining the benefits of all the extened warranties which he sold to us. He also looked into getting us a better loan rate when I explained First Community CU could give us a better rate. Everyone was friendly and worked as a team, helping each other help us. It was a great experience.

Here are some of the reasons my family and I returned to purchase a Jetta from Chris Fehr:Chris provided great customer service. I walked into your dealership on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 only to look around. Chris was the first person to greet me. He answered all my questions and provided me with information on a Jetta. He even informed me to check out the website for pricing, etc. I left that evening telling Chris that I will return on Saturday, May 14, 2011 with my husband at 10am to look at the Jetta again. My daughter really didn't like the car at first, but we both like Chris personality. When my family arrive on Saturday morning, Chris was there to greet us with a smile. He had 3 cars waiting for us to compare. He continued to please my husband and daugther throughout the day with the quality of the cars, pricing, etc. He kept a smile on my daughter's face the entire time. If you remember, she really didn't like the car at first. After spending several hours at the dealership, we informed Chris that we would return later that day with our trade. Still my options were open. We were not expecting to purchase a car on Saturday, but after having another friendly conversion with Chris, I decided to give it a try. Now my family and I own our first Volkswagen. My daughter is so please. She continues to speak highly of Chris. Chris took the time to show her all the features. Programmed her phone, etc. Chris is a wonderful sales person. I would recommend him to my friends.

Andy did everything he said he would do. I told him to call me back and he did! He knew everything about the car that I asked. He was very helpful with showing me the details of the car before I purchased it. He stayed late on Saturday to set up my IPhone on the Media center of the car after I purchased the car. The dealership itself was very clean. The bathrooms were clean and they have Starbucks coffee. If you are waiting for service there is a very nice area to sit and watch TV. They have vending machines for soda but the coffee is free. The finance guy was so fast and very nice. I also met the director of maintenance who reminded me that I get free car washes and oil changes. He also told me how to maintain my light colored leather seats.

I was not looking for a salesperson but I did find a friendly representative by the name of Chis Fehr at the Bommarito dealership in St. Peters. The only thing I was missing at the time of purchase was my family to help with the decision on the color.

The overall experience was positive. My only complaint is we had to wait over 2 hours to meet with the finance manager to close the deal. We had a cash deal with no trade in. Once we met with the finance manager it ony took 5 minutes. We were seriously considering walking away as there is no excuse for waiting that long to close the deal. Dan Glaeser our sales person did everything he could to keep us updated and informed, ultimately it was out of his control. He had most of our paperwork filled out before we arrived to speed up the process. Thanks Dan!

Tried to work a deal with Dan (bait and switch) Glaeser on Friday, April 1st, 2011. Was unsuccessful with coming to an agreement. Left dealership and went to Bommarito Hazelwood to look and negotiate a deal on same car (Jetta TDI 2011). Before speaking with a salesman, gave Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser another chance by phone to work our deal. He said he can't do it. As I was working numbers w/Hazelwood, Dan texts me a msg stating he could come down $200. I said I was still working #'s with Hazelwd. Again, Dan texts me and says he thinks his boss will work a deal. I sent him a text back and said 24000/8500/2.9 financing 6 yrs. You have me pre approved already. He sent a text back saying "Yes". I sent a txt back "Yes to all?". He sent a text back, "Yes to all". I sent him a text back stating I would get my car back from trade-in manager and for him to start paperwork. I will see him soon". Based on that conversation in text, I assumed Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser had checked with his finance manager regarding the promise of 2.9 financing for 6 years before he promised those numbers. Since I was already pre approved to purchase. In the meantime I am heading back to St. Peters Bommarito with the excitement to work the deal that Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser had said "Yes" to. When I arrived, I sat down with Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser to go over our numbers. Waited for another 1 1/2 hours to see finance mngr Jim Foley. Jim sat down and presented finance #'s that didn't reflect what Dan (bait and switch) Glaeser had previously promised. I questioned Jim's numbers and he said according to my credit scores, that I don't qualify for 2.9 financing. Long story short, Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser should've never promised something that was not true to begin with. Dan(bait and switch) Glaeser baited me back to the dealership with false and\or misleading information and in the finance process the numbers switched. I will never recccommend this dealership to any of my friends and family in the future. Unfortunately, I have to continue bringing my Jetta back to your place of business for my free scheduled maintenance.

I checked with other dealers before Bommarito and they didn't have anywhere near the quality of customer service I experienced. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone contemplating the purchase of a new car.

We had a good experience. We visited on several occassions to test drive several different vehicles before deciding on the model we utlitmatley purchased. Chris greeted us each time we came into the showroom and took the time to answer any questions we had and get the vehicles we wanted to drive. The financing process was quite priceless. The only complaint was that the loan person excuse himself from the room when the purchasers are dicussing the different options that are presented to them.Also, Chris should have insisted that we drive the vehicle that night that we were purchasing before the paperwork was stared.Even with those comments, the experience was great.

Chris was awesome I would recommend him to anyone and already have!!! He was extremely patient with me and my dad, who sold cars for 20 years as well as worked in the finance and insurance area. I think his patience and positive attitude was the reason we all had such a great experience. I'm sure it can be frustrating to not only deal with ones parents but specifically my dad! Sales & finance departments were great. The finance manager worked hard to find the loan that best fit my needs. During my time at the dealership every employee, from sales to service, checked on me to ensure that I had everything that I needed. While waiting a salesperson even let me borrow a charger for my cell phone. Overall excellent experience.

The "buying experience" was okay. I guess I'll always question it when I'm told I've been offered the invoice price. Who stays in business when they sell at true invoice price? It was the car that really sold me. The dealership was okay. Not a lot of pressure but a little. The people are friendly.

The prices listed on the internet were a little misleading. I even called to verify the price for a vehicle over the phone, it started as $25,500 on the web, when I called was told it was $26,200 then when it came down to purchase time was told it was $27,300. We drove 2 hours from Springfield IL and expected to leave with a Routan. We eneded up taking a different vehicle than planned, that had less options and still cost us $26,500 (they added a $200 administrative fee at the end of the deal). I am happy with the VW incentives applied but the dealer could have been more up front on costs. It took about 3 hours to process the deal. This is with no trade in and pre approved credit. Not sure why it takes so long for a straight forward deal?

My purchasing process lasted approximately a month and could not have gone any better thanks to the great sales team at Bommarito St. Peters. I am quite the stubborn shopper and like to view all of my options before making a deal. The sales staff, notably Chris Fehr and JJ, went above and beyond any dealership I have dealt with in terms of making sure that I a.) drove what I was interested in and b.) wasn't pressured into anything that I would have regretted. Between multiple test drives and emails back and forth, I always knew what was on the table and there was no "behind the door" dealing going on what-so-ever. The entire team worked hard to meet my terms and, again, I could not be any happier with the purchase of my 2011 Volkswagen Golf TDI!The finance team, while over-worked, was great in giving me my options for financing and not being pushy on any add-on warranties or the like. A+ to the entire Bommarito team, I hope my future service goes as well as the purchase did! Thanks again Bommarito for another stellar experience!

Went in for service on my 2005 VW Beetle and ended up purchasing one of the two Final Edition 2010 VW Beetle convertibles. Had fun. Laughed alot. They really cared about our business. I recently relocated to the area from the East Coast. My experience of VW dealers back home was not positive, to put it mildly. So I went into Bommarito VW fully expecting to dread the experience. Andy was great to work with, and although I expected a horrible new car negotiation full of the standard dirty tricks, it didn't happen that way. Instead, I got a fair offer for my trade-in upfront and a low-pressure negotiation with no funny math and almost none of the standard "sales theater" tactics. In 20 minutes we had a price that we were both happy with.The finance and insurance manager (Adam) was pushier than Andy and the sales manager, but he was still pleasant to work with. We were able to turn down various extended warranties and "protection packages" with a minimum of fuss. They put us in the new car on the spot, but not before we had signed a sales contract with a clearly stated interest rate and payment term. We were never asked to sign anything with a blank line and there was no attempt to run any of the scams that are so common in the F&I office.I could have saved maybe $500 on this car if I had played dealers against each other and spent a lot more time and effort working a deal. In my opinion, buying a new car at Bommarito VW is easy enough and pleasant enough to be worth a small premium. I have no regrets at all.

We had a terrific experience buying our car. Most of the knowledge about the car and competing products we had gathered on-line before coming into the dealership. Our salesman was knowledgeable and was able to answered all our questions. The reason for the rating on 4 for the price was due to the paperwork charges and destination fees. I feel these fees should be considered a cost for doing business and should not be added at the time of purchase. These cost should be already added into the price of buying the car. It feels a little cheezy.

Please note this is a review of a Pre-owned sales experience at the V.W. building. We went to test drive a used SUV. We did not intend to buy a vehicle the same day of a test drive. We wanted to see service records of what Bommarito did to the vehicle prior to sale. They could not materialize these records after we asked for them and they said they could get them. We sat and sat and then they tried to sell us the vehicle and we felt pushed. They kept asking what was stopping us. Tires needed replacement and timing belt would need replacement. The pre-owned manager said new tires would be about $65 for this SUV. What planet is he from? They could not meet our price drop criteria for these items. In addition, we had an infant to attend to at home with a babysitter and we were trying to leave. They kept us there as we thought we would get a good deal. We felt they didn't care about us and were just after this sale. After their offer gave back, I walked out in disgust. We ended up going to another dealer to find the pre-owned SUV we were looking for and got a tremendous deal. About a week later, Bommarito raised the price of the vehicle about $650 on the internet. Let me see, they cannot sell a vehicle so they raise the price to be greedy hoping for a sucker to bite. Overall we had a horrible experience and would never buy a pre-owned vehicle from this place.

First of all, I had no intention of buying a new car. I went in for a free car wash and ended up buying a new car. Never was I pressured. I test drove, liked what I drove and purchased the CC. I asked for a price, asked what they would give me for my car, and then purchased the car with free financing thru VW. I sold my 2005 Passet TDI on Cregs List in less than 24 hours. Done deal.

Everyone at the dealership was great to work with. Down to earth and easy going. I will return to this dealership the next time I buy a car, and I will recommend all of my family and friends.I was disappointed that the vehicles service engine light came on the first day that I had it, but I was very pleased with how quickly the dealership responded to my problem and they made the repair in less than 30 minutes.

They were very nice to my husband and I. I was able to haggle a fair price. They needed to put different tires on my car so they gave me a loaner to drive home with and the next day picked up my car. When I picked up my car and drove it home the next day I noticed a ding in the driver side door. I took a picture and text it to Andy. He called me right away saying bring it in. No questions asked they gave me a loaner and took it to an autobody shop where the paint was sanded down and repainted to look like nothing had happened. Next day I got the call to pick it up. Didn't cost me a dime and no questions just fixed. When I picked it up Andy was not in so Eric got me my car and on my way. The next day Andy called to make sure everything was okay and that I was happy with the car. The only thing I would say that my husband and I don't like is their sign about guns. We are both 2nd ammendment supporters and usually don't support businesses that have signage about guns. Unfortunately there is no other dealership in the area without that sign.

Same as I read in another review........I saw an advertisement for a CC with a price I could afford. I went in to drive the car and the salesman was somewhat helpful. However, he talked to me like I was a three year old. Can you explain the benefits of the cruise control again? Please? The price I saw advertised on the web was $24,XXX but for some reason they couldn't get below $28,5XX at the dealership. What about the 3% below invoice price I saw advertised or the $24,XXX I saw advertised, too? I guess the main thing that really turned me off was how the salesman bad-mouthed the other dealers. Instead of talking up the benefits of buying from Bommarito, he emphasized how crappy the other ones were. I'm strongly considering the purchase of a CC but it won't be from Bommarito. Sorry guys. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

I bought my VW Jetta from Bommarito Volkswagen of St. Peters a little over 2 years ago. What they don't know is that I actually fell in love with the Jetta at another dealership. I didn't feel comfortable with the sales and service at the other dealership and kept shopping around.When I walked in to check out the Jettas at Bommarito, I immediately felt like my sales person wanted to help me. I have had the same feeling with the friendly service associates when I take in my car for service.If I had created this review a year ago, I would have given them a slightly lower ranking in Overall Experience. In the last couple of months, Bommarito has developed an online scheduling of service system. It is so fast and easy.Service, helpfulness and friendliness are all tops in my book. That's why I keep going back for service and will shop there again when it is time to replace my Jetta.

After walking into the dealership and meeting Andy the sales experience started off great. I had done a bit of research on the VW CC prior to the visit and Andy was able to confirm the research. Jake was extrmely helpful when reviewing the options the car had and educated me on the operation of several items. The Bommarito Volkswagen sales team and Matt Muraski made my car buying experience one of the most easiest ones I've ever had. I went in on Saturday February 27 around 5 pm to look at the Routon and test drive. We had done our homework and knew it would most likely be the one. The dealership closed at 6pm, and we offered to come back on the following Monday. Matt and his team stayed until 7:15 pm to get us in our new van. That was above and beyond expectations. Clean very orginized dealership. Friendly knowledgable staff that always go the extra mile. The only way this or any dealership continues to do buisness is with good qualified service writers and technicans. The staff at St. Peters VW is above all others I have seen. They have qualified diesel tech work on my TDI jetta and have always broght it back to be better than when it arrived. Sometimes when I did not notice or report things were wrong. All cover and part of the service they would say. No it is not typical. That is why I went to VW, that is as soon as they put the TDI in a Pasat or CC I will have one of those next to my TDI Jetta.

When we were looking for another VW Jetta TDI to replace our totaled Ponatic Vibe we could have done business with the other dealer. But, our experience with them was less than desirable; in fact, the price of the vehicle changed from when we made our deal to buy to when we picked it up.This time we tried Bommarito VW in St. Peters. Our experience was as different as night and day. The staff was friendly and spoke to us in a personal manner, not condescending. The follow-up on the sale was personable. We were introduced to the service staff and showed where the waiting room was. Even though our car is new, it is nice to be shown around the service area.I would highly recommend doing business with Bommarito VW. We never felt pressure to buy. It was a pleasant experience. The VW Jetta is a fantastic car. It really sells itself. It was nice to deal with a staff that was knowledgable and applied no pressure "to make the sale".
