Brought my 1998 bow m roadster to have computer checked for right program (TSB 122099) .Had an appointment for 10:00 am on 9/14/16, they did not work on the car that day at all I had to leave it overnight. The next day I called at 09:00 am the dealership finally called back at 10:30 am to tell me that they were not going to get to the car till that evening. I told them not to work on the car, and I went and picked the car up. If an appointment is made at 10:00 the car should be worked on at 10:00, not put off for other customers. I WILL NOT DEAL WITH BRIAN HARRIS ANY MORE! Kris Diez

Went online made an appointment for 8/19/16 for a blown out angel eye was told it would be fixed that day. Stayed all day. Was given a loaner and told to come back the next day and pick up my car... one month later still no car!!! A simple repair!!! I could've changed it myself but I'm lazy. I got frustrated and picked my car up yesterday now every headlight warning light is on. Took it to a mechanic who specializes in bmw's two hours later car fixed!!! I will never return to Brian Harris for service.

After 3 previous trips to this dealership (2.5 hours away one-way), I dropped my car off April 1st for the same problem (a water leak in the back). I was called June 6th to pick up my car. Drove 2.5 hours to the dealership just to find out that it HAD NOT been fixed. Left in a loaner. June 28th received another call that car had been fixed. Asked if it had been through a car wash to double check for leaks. Today, July 19th, I called and spoke with service manager, Randy Z, who amazingly, miraculously found my car to be suddenly fixed. While on the phone; however, he tried to sell me a filter (nevermind the $70 K&N filter I put in when I got the car in November) and a brake flush. Yes, I'm a female, but NO, I'm not simple vehicle maintenance challenged Nothing on Earth should take 3 months and 3 weeks to fix, especially at a dealership by "certified technicians". I WILL NEVER VISIT BRIAN HARRIS MINI AGAIN!!! On their website, they reserve the right to not publish negative comments/reviews, so they have a website ratings of 4.7 out of 5 stars. Rest assured, that IS NOT FOR THEIR SERVICE!!!!!!!!

They replaced an exterior part, which took 3 weeks to come in then to be painted. They painted the part the wrong shade of white. I brought it to their attention they asked if I could drop off the car saying it would take 4 hours. After having the car all day I called and left 3 messages with the service department. They never called me back now they have gone home and I have no vehicle. Their service department is horrible.

We brought our car in for service they told us it would only take a day, after four days they called and said it was ready. We picked it up after hours, it was raining hard and the car was parked in a dark area. I drove it home that night. The next morning I got up and started to wipe it off and when i got to the rear right bumper it appeared that our car had been struck and the bumper had obvious damage,I immediately called Brian Harris and told them that they had damaged our car. I was told to bring the car in and they would assess the damage and look at video footage of the lot and they would take care of the damages. Well they kept the car from the past Friday until today and when we went to pick it up they wouldn't release our car to us until we paid for the body repair work. Now they damaged the vehicle and we had to pay for repairs. I would not recommend any one to buy from or even have service on their vehicle at Brian Harris they are crooks.

The sales manager called me after my contract was signed and the sale complete to inform me that I owed 2,000 in additional tax fees and that the state would come and repo my car if I did not pay. I asked two personal friends who actually own dealerships in the area and they said it was B.S. They main manager then gets on the phone trying to get me to pay the 2,000 and I held my ground. When I told them my family was actually in the same club as the owners brother, he crawfished and aplogized. I did not pay it and almost called for an investigation for fraud.

I have a mini countryman that has been in service for a month (4 Weeks). This is not for major repair. It was a resister in the ac unity The service at Brian Harris Mini in Baton Rouge is simply the worst customer service I have ever received. I have had the car for two years and every time it is in the shop it is at least a couple weeks. There is no communication, they simply don't care. I am actually selling my car and will never get a mini because of this experience. I purchased a service agreement that I will never use. The more I write the more angry I become, so i am going to quite now. Somebody should do something with this company. They are giving mini a bad name. They have been through multiple service people. I have spoke to the service manager and he has been there for 2 years and admits that it hasn't gotten any better.

Having just purchased my seventh vehicle from BH I finally had to stop long enough to write about how pleasant the experiences have been. From Cynthia W in sales to Rick T in service, everyone treats you with respect and everyone bends over backwards to make sure you leave a very satisfied customer. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for a new car to check out BH.

I have visited this dealership on multiple occasions shopping for a new 535 or X5. We were completely ignored by multiple sales reps on every trip there, even in the showroom. Very uncomfortable atmosphere and rude sales people. I'm taking my business to Peake in New Orleans.

He went above and beyond to accommodate me. Thanks to Brian Harris and Wade for making this car buying experience a great one!Melissa

My vehicle has been in service for 30 Days. On a previous visit, they downloaded a brake system upgrade. The upgrade deleted my "miles remaining per gallons remaining" option. Yesterday they called and accused me of never having had the option to begin with. They asked if perhaps I had ridden in another vehicle, saw the option and now simply wanted it. The service mgr stated that a BMW Tech with 20+ years experience determined that my vehicle could have never had the option as it had no onboard computer system. The call was disturbing to say the least. I have driven my car for two years and looked down at that option everyday!! He said that he doesn't understand how as I could not have had it to look at!! Then I learn from an alternate source that the option has been standard in the Countryman since 2007. Remember mines a 2013. I am not quite sure where this is going but it seems like they're making an attempt to absolve themselves of any and all responsibility, called me a liar as doing so and just been outed as incompetent. I'll just end at that.

I purchased a certified used 3 series with extended warranty. The airbag indicator light came on at least twice sometimes three times a year.. They could never figure out why. They would do something to reset it and it always came back on. Now that its no longer under warranty they refused to repair it. Now I can't get an inspection sticker. I can't legally drive my car. The service manager claims I caused this to happened. I could not believe the bull he came up with. Please stay away from Brian Harris BMW. This is the worst experience of my life.

Here is the response I got after telling a salesperson that I received a better deal out of the market:"Looking back on it now it appears the other salesman you worked with at our facility was smarter than me as evidence of not committing precious time chasing a at best giveaway car deal I send you best wishes for continued success."

These are jerks that are over prices, deliver crappy work and don't deliver ANY work within the given time frame. I wish there was another BMW dealer somewhere around - this "company" does NOT deserve your (or ANY) business. They cannot even manage to get somebody to answer the phone during the day. DISGUSTING service.I already complained at BMW, but they don't seem to care. It was for sure the last time that I bought a BMW.

The car I purchased was beautiful but had mechanical issues that should've been addressed in their 50 point inspection. They have been dodging my calls and emails since I drove it off the lot. They advertise free shipping, but the salesman knew nothing about it.

Took a 40 min drive to take a look at 2 cars that were on their lot. Stayed at the dealership 15 minutes and never got acknowledged. Even had a salesman walk right up to me with another couple that were shopping. The guy never said he would be with me when he was finished, never said a simple hello, how can I help you....nothing. I promise I won't purchase my BMW from here.

Car has been at the dealership for over a week, parts are not there, they have no idea when they will come in and no idea if they have really been ordered. All while the car is taken apart...Lied to my daughter about loaner not being available, then supposedly they don't give out loaners if your car is older than 2008.... seriously, I am not joking, they are really that dumb. She called 3 times, left voice mails to get an update and nobody ever called back. Great service!Over-priced services and not what should be expected from a BMW dealer. I also complained at BMW corporate about their rotten tomato in the south.

I would not do business with Brian Harris BMW. Three weeks after the sale, the finance manger, Steve, calls to inform me that he made a mistake and that I owed 2K in sales tax - whoa!! How can that be Steve? Well, I thought your traded 2011 car was financed and not leased and therefore the tax credit was revoked - you owe it. Hmmmm, you mean to tell me that everyone involved in the three hours I was there knew the car was a lease being turned in except you, the finance manager? And youre telling me this is not uncommon?Yes, that is correct. Steve, I turned in a 2011 for a 2011, didnt you think I was being ripped off if indeed I had turned in a financed car?I would not know that and YOU should have noticed the sales tax. Also, It is written in the contract that if there are any additional taxes or fees the customer is responsible. But the Tax and Title were written into the contract???? There are no checks in place to make sure this doesnt happen? Well, It happens and I hate making these phone calls. Sounds very suspicious and a terrible way to conduct business. (Steve sounding testy) You want a new contract then? It was your mistake and I do not think I should have to pay 2K for something you say is an "oversight" on your part. A deal was made and now I owe 2K more.I can find out who you send the check to at the state or we can write a new contract.Great, do that Steve.**I have yet to hear back from Brian HarrisAfter talking to several colleagues/friends (some of who know Mr. Harris and Son-in-law) not one of them thinks this is an equitable way to conduct business, especially for such a brand as BMW. According to Steve the finance manger, the above is not an uncommon oversight - BUYER BEWARE. I am publishing the above in as many places as I can find.

I inquired about a used vehicle using cars.com. The dealership did not respond to the e-mail request. I had to phone the dealership to see if the used car was still available to see if I should make the long drive to see it. I did not see the car on the lot when I arrived. I spent 10 minutes in the showroom without being acknowledged by anyone at the dealership. Others were there as well milling around with no one to talk to. They don't have a reception area or anyone to great you. After 15 minutes of waiting to get someone's attention I walked out. I got an e-mail 2 days later saying the vehicle I was interested in is no longer available but the dealership would be happy to help me find another that would suit my needs. Really? I doubt it.

My wife made an appointment to have her oil change. I thought the reason to make an appointment was to assure that it gets done that day, but apparently not. She dropped her car off at 9:30 this morning (which was her appointment time), and went back to pick it up at 2:30 this afternoon. It was still parked where she left it. Their excuse was they were too busy. That's the whole reason an appointment was made!!! I definitely would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!!!

My wife's car would not start and she was stranded in Baton Rouge - she had it towed to this dealership who proceeded to grossly overcharge her for the repair. The car was found to need a simple electronic ignition switch - something that can be changed in 1/2 an hour. They indicate they charge 3x standard BMW repair times which is a lie. They charged us 3 hours for a 1/2 hour repair - more than quadruple actual time and double what they should have charged based on their own stated policy. They also charged 20 minutes to change a simple plug and play light bulb that took all of 2 minutes to change.Plus the parts cost was 30% higher than the next closes BMW dealership. These people way overcharge - shop repair costs and parts costs elsewhere to see just how much! Would have been worth towing to New Orleans instead of using Brian Harris BMW - the car was not even in service for three hours!

This dealership must benefit from the limited numbers of sources for a Mini Cooper in the State. Service was very friendly until the paperwork was signed, then faded and has been non-existent since we took delivery. Several E-mailed questions to the salesman received no response or a non-response. Once example: we asked if the cargo net that comes with the car stretches along the hatch floor, or across the hatch opening. The response (verbatim); "The car comes with a cargo net." We live 4.5 hrs. from this dealer. The car was not properly checked when the dealership received it. Even though it was sitting 3 feet from the salesman's desk, he allowed us to drive the 4.5 hours to pick it up. When we pointed out the obvious 3 inch scratch to bare metal he said 'I didn't know.' After telling us the scratch would be repaired, we received a call telling us it could not be fully repaired without re-painting the hatch, (which would devalue the car). At this point we asked that they either order a replacement or discount the car. The dealership was resistant to doing either. Finally they agreed to a re-negotiated price and to deliver the car to us with the rebate check. Then they called to say they could not send the check with the car, but wanted us to take delivery anyway. We agreed, but only if they would send us in writing a promise to forward the check. The salesman agreed to provide this. When the porter drove into our driveway to deliver the car, we still had nothing in writing. Our phone call to the dealership floor rang and rang with no answer. The porter gave us the salesman's cell phone number and we called and also got no response. When we finally made contact with the salesman he advised us that he had been 'busy.' He told us he had the check, that it only needed a signature and that it would be mailed by 6/28/11. This proved to be untrue. Two e-mails sent directly to the General Manager received no response. An e-mail sent to the sales floor asking about the check received this response: 'Thank you for doing business with us.If you have questions at any time, please don't hesitate to contact us.' We did eventually receive the check. Then we received a card advising us that we could pick up the tag 'at our convenience.' Again calls were transferred to a phone that was never answered and my husband had to drive another 4.5 hours to pick it up. I would not recommend this dealership.

After making the sale, Brian Harris BMW apparently believes that customer service no longer matters. It is a shame that there are not multiple BMW dealers in this market (Baton Rouge), as this one would surely be run out of business. What a shame, as BMW is a great brand and this dealer gives it a major black eye.

I bought a used vehicle. When I tried to start it up again after I got it home, the battery was dead. Walter and Hedrick drove out personally to jump it and bring it to the Dealership for a new battery. They gave me a loaner free of charge while my car was in the shop. I have now had the car for over a year and I still get post cards and phone calls from these two to see how I'm doing. Pretty nice service for a used vehicle!
