I hate shopping for cars, and in general, I hate car dealers. I realize their job is to sell cars and that takes a certain amount of time. But at most dealerships the process is far too slow and involves too many layers of people for my comfort level. That approach has not been my experience at Bud Brown. I just completed my third shopping/leasing experience, and in a few months will go back for my fourth. They just make it easy!

I bought a certified pre-owned 2015 GTI Autobahn. Max was very knowledgeable and thorough, demonstrating all the features and benefits of the car with practical demonstrations.I wasn't looking forward to purchasing a car after an unenjoyable, high-pressure purchase from another dealer several years ago. This purchase was a completely different experience. Absolutely no pressure and no haggling! Very straight forward. All of the staff were friendly, polite, and professional.I was offered a loaner car when I made the purchase because the new car still had to go through the certification inspection (I turned down the offer because I was keeping my old car). A loaner car was offered again when I brought my new car in to the shop to get a second key programmed and the ignition button replaced due to some cosmetic wear (no need this time either because the work was performed quickly).I contacted Max via email with questions on a couple of occasions after purchase. His responses were succinct and timely. I appreciated being able to send in a question in the evening and get a reply the next morning.A week after purchase I noticed a bulge in the side wall of one of the rear tires. I hadn't driven much during the preceding week and didn't recall hitting a curb or pothole or anything that could have caused such damage. I was disappointed that I might have to purchase a couple of new tires only a week after buying the car. Max asked me to bring the car in to the shop as soon as possible. They replaced the tire at no cost to me, even though they were under no obligation to do so! They determined that the other rear tire was new enough to not need replacing.A special thank you to Max and the Bud Brown dealership for going above and beyond to take care of me!

I would just say an average overall experience. Nothing really over the top. I would have thought the dealer would have been a little more appreciative with our business. Maybe it was the heat, who knows.2nd key supplied with vehicle would not unlock doors when we got it home. Had to look up how to program key fob, not a big deal though. Vehicle seems fine so far and overall a good value. Our first VW so time will tell if we will buy another.

We had recently visited a different dealer and they did the stereotypical car dealer nonsense (making you wait while the salesmen pretended to negotiate with the finance guy, coming back with ridiculous extra fees, etc.) I am soooo glad that our experience at Bud Brown was nothing like that. They were up front about the fees and went the extra mile to ensure that we were satisfied. Missy even gave me a ride from my work so that I could pick up the car.

My first time going to a Volkswagen dealership was a lot better than I thought it would be. Dealerships make me nervous in the first place and hate to be hounded. Bud Brown was nothing like that, I felt at ease and relaxed. It was my first time test driving a Volkswagen and a great one. Shannon was very helpful and knowledgable on each of the models of VW. He made it easy to fall in love with the golf! Casey made buying my golf fun, his geeky love for the VW and a long time owner of several different VW over the years was helpful in my decision. No one likes paper work or talking about the money part of buying a vehicle, but Chuck worked with me and understood that this was a big purchase for me and did not take it lightly. Everyone at Bud Brown made me feel super comfortable and I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. You guys rock!!!

Am rating this dealer solely based on service. Had an excellent experience here service-wise for our VW Tiguan. Dealt almost exclusively with Jake Watson and would highly, highly recommend him. Probably the best service person I have worked with during the last 20 years. He was always friendly and extremely important for me, would always take however much time was required to explain the situation in whatever level of detail I wanted (which sometimes would go way beyond what most customers would want), and I never felt rushed. Usually he already knew the answer, but if he didn't, he would take the time to find out and call me back. At new car dealerships, you normally expect high service prices. That is NOT the case here at Bud Brown. Not only was the quality of their service work excellent, their prices were really reasonable. They were lower than any other dealer and sometimes lower than independents. I was really amazed by their prices. In fact, eventually started bringing our Mini Cooper for service because their service work was so good and so reasonably priced. I really cannot say enough positive things about my experiences there with Jake. Also wanted to mention that this dealer provides free service loaners. Don't know if all VW dealers do that, but my suspicion is they probably don't. And yet they still had really low prices for service anyway. Yet another reason for people to bring their cars here for service instead of somewhere else.

I recently returned to Bud Brown after deciding that it was finally the time to purchase a car. Customer service was an A-plus the moment I arrived. I was greeted by the friendly staff and Casey was already very knowledgeable about the Jetta I was looking for. He is laid back and very excellent to work with. Casey was helpful from start to finish and even walked me through all the car's features step-by-step, including setting up the roadside assistance program after purchasing the car. I would highly recommend him and the Bud Brown team to anyone looking to purchase a Volkswagen. Overall, it was an easy experience.

Ask for Marco Martini --he really helped me find my dream car I've also wanted. Great customer service! The General Manager is absolutely amazing!! He came and introduced himself and made sure everything would work out. He really put in time to make me feel appreciated and taken care of! Service--I've always went to the service department for my previous car. They are very trustworthy-they saved my previous parts just to show me how bad my parts were worn on my car. Jake is awesome!

Great purchase and love the dealership. Salesperson was good except for one small detail. I had one request for it to have Bluetooth phone connectivity for my daughter. I was told my vehicle had this option. I was verbally told on more than one occasion and even had a detailed conversation about the microphone placement. I drive it home five minutes away and cannot connect her phone because it was not an option after all. I immediately called my salesperson and got "oops, sorry, my mistake". I was given zero resolve and no alternative corrective measure (aftermarket or swap radio). Kinda felt like there could have been a resolve.

Great purchase and love the dealership. Salesperson, Casey was great. There was some confusion on an option and I didn't realize until after I drove off the lot. By the end of the day, Casey went far and above his required duties as a salesman and made it right. If you want a no pressure, honest salesman with integrity, go see Casey.

I had been looking at GTI's for awhile now. I was working with the same salesman before Shannon and he just wasn't the Best guy to work with. He was completely clueless on everything. Any question I asked him, whether it was about the car or financing.. He had no idea. So once I started to talk to Shannon, it made me happy to finally be able to talk to someone who knew what they were doing and what they were talking about. He made this experience great! Everything went smoothly, he wasn't pushy and he let me take as long as I wanted to make the right decision. I will definitely be back to buy my next car from him! This is the second review I am leaving for Bu Brown Volkswagen as the first seems to have got lost out in the internet somewhere. We purchased a used Passat from this dealership in the beginning of December 2015. I have to tell you I am glad the first review got lost but the feeling is still the same. We have had the vehicle for two months now and it truly has been a joy to own. We had a problem right off the bat with the car and I told them about it but I did not want to fix it right away as I wanted to see if their was anything else wrong with it. I waited about four weeks and reinterated the inital thing that i had found wrong with the car when we purchased it. The service problem took care of it without a problem and there was no charge to me. I don't buy a vehicle every week so sometimes you have to go with your gut on things. In the case of Bud Brown Volkswagen I am certainly glad I trusted my gut instinct. If you want to buy a volkswagen and I know they are having their issues right now with the mileage certification on their diesel vehicles but please in no way should you not buy a volkswagen from this dealership. They went way out of their way to accommodate myself and my wife. As far as I am concerned they did right by us. Thanks for reading " Skip "

Bud Brown has outstanding customer service. Everyone I dealt with from the Receptionist to the General Manager treated me with the utmost respect. BudBrown has a very large selection of Certified Pre-Owned inventory to choose from, so I was able to test drive three different certified Passat's. This much certified inventory was not common at the other VW dealerships I went to. Shannon Strong is the individual I worked most with in getting the deal done. I'm a very indecisive individual, I've been looking to purchase a car off and on for two years and Shannon made the experience easier on me. He was very knowledgable about each vehicle I test drove and was able to explain how the AutoWorld Certification works with Volkswagen. The certification was a key part for me, because I was purchasing a certified vehicle and some after market certifications don't cover much, but the AutoWorld covers basically everything but the wear and tear of the vehicle (very important). The negotiation was very quick and easy and I never felt like the dealership was taking advantage of me. They gave me $600 more than the other VW dealership offered for my trade in. If you are in the market for a VW, I highly recommend going to Bud Brown and speaking with Shannon Strong.

We went into the dealership just browsing some used inventory in the area. We had been looking at another dealership, but Bud Brown was just down the street, had some cars we were interested in, and has a great reputation with some VW enthusiasts we know. We decided to stop in and see what was there. We needed a car in the next couple weeks, but had no intention of purchasing today.We were greeted quickly by a member of the Bud Brown team and a salesperson was not far behind. Ron came out to help us and was friendly, patient, had a good sense of humor, and didn't rush us through the whole experience. There was a lot of anxiety about purchasing a new-to-us car and Ron and Chuck were both very patient and reassuring (in a calming, make the best decision, we would rather have a repeat customer than a sale today kind of way) throughout the long process of driving, considering, and signing on the dotted line.

We have a 2000 New Beetle that would intermittently not start, or would start but then shot off. Took it in and they replaced the fuel line sensor. Caught it acting up and thought they found the problem. However, the issue cropped up again. Took it back and they replaced the ignition switch. No charge for second visit since they did not figure out the issue the first time. very nice staff.

I bought a 2014 VW Passat this past weekend and had the privilege of being helped by Theo. I wasn't on the lot longer than 2 minutes before I was greeted by him. He wasn't pushy or obnoxious, he was casual and friendly. I already had the car picked out I wanted to test drive, and within 5 minutes of being there, we were on the road. I got a more than fair amount for my trade in, and we were even able to lower the price of the Passat a bit. The entire staff at Bud Brown was friendly, prompt and decisive. Top notch staff, they were honest with me throughout the entire process, they answered all of my questions and even answered some I didn't know to ask. I highly recommend Bud Brown.

While on a trip, from Oklahoma, to your area on 1-21-16, my vehicle started to smell like burning wires. I was afraid that it was going to catch on fire at any moment. After speaking to my brother about my situation, he suggested that I head over to Bud Browns Volkwagon and check out their selection of vehicles. I informed him that my credit wasn't very good and he said not to worry about it, they can take care of my needs. I was very skeptical. However, to my amazement, they were able to sell me a certified 2015 Volkswagon Jetta! Awesome car and a spectacular team, to make it happen. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to get us back on the road with such a nice car.

I took pictures of the car and sent to my wife. I told her about this amazingly wonderful sales person and the rest, well, I now have a Passat in my garage and a very happy wife. My wife had the opportunity to meet Ron and they hit it off like to old friends growing up in high school. I very nice gentleman with a no pressure, no nonsense approach to selling us a car. We found the Chrysler 300 on the internet. So we drove an hour to look at the car. It was everything they promised on the internet. My husband and I was met outside by salesman Ron. He was very friendly and understood right off that I am not a person who likes to shop for cars. After a test drive he was very patient with me as I made my decision to purchase the car. We signed the papers and was out the door in less that 45 min. Ron contacted me the following week to make sure that I was satisfied with the vehicle and has called 2 times after that. It has been several months since I purchased the car and I received yet another call to make sure the car was doing okay. I would definitely purchase another car from Ron and Bud Brown VW.

This dealership is not local for us but we decided to check it out based on their reviews and a less than stellar experience at another VW dealership. We received immediate follow up to our online inquiry and at the dealership Missy made it easy and very straight forward. This was my first car-buying experience, and I was stressed, having to replace my previous car which got stolen, but the employees here took good care of me. Everyone I spoke with, including the manager Rick, was very polite and helpful. Missy took the time to explain various aspects of my contract, and I got a very fair price for my vehicle! Bud Brown VW has an amazing, super-helpful, and hard-working staff.I'm not being paid to write this or anything. I was blown away with their service and how they treat their customers. I live 2.5 hours away from this dealership, but I would love to purchase a car from here again as they work hard for your business. From my first internet inquiry, Smokey was great in immediately contacting me and answering any questions I had. When I arrived to the dealership, Smokey introduced me to Eric who was my salesman. There is still this stigma where car salesman are seen as the enemy. Eric is truly your best friend. He works hard for you. He doesn't sugar coat anything or tell you lies. He's honest, straight-forward and will explain thoroughly in detail your vehicle. He knows a lot about cars too which helps! From there, his sales managers were both fair with their assessment on my trade and the price of the car. For who wants an easy process, research, research, research, research! I gave them what I thought were fair numbers, and the process was so smooth. I didn't try to low-ball them or anything or be unrealistic. And they were the exact same. They treated me fairly and professionally and it was an awesome experience. Bud Brown must stress customer satisfaction, professionalism, and respect because every single employee I met (from the receptionist, to sales, to finance, to detail) are beyond helpful. This is a great dealership, and if you're looking to purchase a car, I highly recommend them.

Bud Brown has the right people, with the right attitude, to do business, I never felt pressured by the representative to take a decision, nor representative was upset at any time by my barrage of questions regarding all the stipulations and offers that comes by buying a CPO vehicle. I visited the service department and observed how they were treating the people there, and everyone seemed happy, and courteous. The Finance department, works with you in order to get a payment plan that best fits you. Overall. I just purchased a 2012 VW Passat at this dealership. I am a first time dealership buyer and was really nervous about finding not only a good reliable car, but also getting the monthly payments I could afford. This is my fourth Volkswagen leased car - my first was a Beetle that I leased in Atlanta, GA; my second was a Jetta that I leased from Molle Volkswagen in Kansas City, MO; my third is a Beetle convertible that I currently lease (and absolutely love) from Bud Brown Volkswagen in Olathe, KS (which, by the way, is about an hour drive each way from my home); and my fourth is a Jetta that I leased just last night also from Bud Brown Volkswagen. I am absolutely sold on Volkswagen - safe, dependable, gas efficient, great prices, comfortable, plenty of leg room, and on and on. But even more importantly was our sales rep - Missy McConnell. On both occasions Missy went way above and beyond what we expected - she is so knowledgeable, but she is also so friendly and honest, she tells it as it is and is definitely one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we decided to lease the Jetta, we immediately contacted Missy. We met with her the next day and in just a very few days we had the car and it is beautiful. The dealership is incredible, the cars are outstanding and we could not have had a better experience. But Missy is definitely the frosting on the cake.

I recently purchased a 2016 Tiguan from Bud Brown and I couldn't be happier. I had originally gone to another VW dealer in KC and was completely unimpressed. It was such a relief to be treated like a person, not a wallet by Eric Shaver. He was friendly, competent, and most importantly, not pushy. Ron grabbed the key and promptly got the car set up for a test drive on local streets and on the highway. After driving it, we were escorted inside to negotiate a sale. Eric was great to work with and didn't waste time negotiating a great deal. The process was as pressure-free as you can get. We will definitely visit Bud Brown VW again in the future.

I had a great experience with Theo at Bud Brown. He was very informative and showed a lot of care into my leasing experience. He and his manager even worked with me to get the payments more into my budget.However, it was good but not excellent as a whole. Once I showed interested, there was little I could do to get some more time to really think about my decision. I asked for a couple days but they wouldn't stop until I was given an offer I couldn't refuse. Makes me think how much lower I could have gone....? Plus, I asked them to hold my first payment until Thursday (which is my payday), so that I would have enough for the payment. But once all the paperwork was finished, they could have cared less and deposited the check right away, causing an overdraft fee and a couple other transactions to decline. Wish they would put the customer's needs before their own 100% of the time. Not enough to never shop there again, but left me feeling upset and mad after it was all said and done.

They removed all the aspects I hate in negotiations , and made it comfortable and easy. My car had not arrived at the dealership yet, so they speed up the delivery, and I had my car in a few days!! I have always had a great experience in their service department and was pleased to receive that same experience in their sales.

Andre had informed me that the dealership had taken in a vehicle I had been looking for, he went out of his way to pick me up and bring me to the dealership (20 minutes out of his way) we figured I would be leaving with the truck but I had some unexpected hurdles, Andre drove me home so I wasn't late for work and the finance team worked together to put the deal in place. Our daughter is getting ready to turn 17 so I am giving my 2001 Altima to her. So, I had the daunting task of deciding what I wanted to drive. Cars have improved so much over 14 years. I test drove cross-overs, including a Tiguan. I liked it, but I wasn't in love with the cross-overs. We went back to Bud Brown and spoke to Jake Gilliam again. He was very patient with me as I drove three different cars. It was a difficult decision but Jake worked with us and explained the differences in all cars until I finally made my decision...2015 Passat TDI SE. We got a great price on a wonderful car!

We are very pleased with our purchase of a Certified 2014 Passat SE and the Service we received at Bud Brown Volkswagen. It was exactly what we were looking for like new with low mileage in the price range we were looking for. Ask for Chris in Sales he was great and very knowledgeable!!! Service Department was very good as well . . . the only issue with the car was that a thread on the console needed to be fixed and they scheduled an appointment for the following week, gave me a loner car and had it fixed.

Last Saturday, after a lot of considerations to replace or not to replace my old Toyota Highlander, I went to Bud Brown with the intention to get information of what would be my best choices for a new car. I have to say that I am very illiterate when it comes to cars. I met with Andre and the first thing he did was to thoroughly explained the different models. His level of knowledge on the product was superb and he catered to me personally explaining every detail until I was satisfied. I was looking to upgrade from my Golf TDI to a used, newer version. I found just what I was looking for via the internet. I contacted Smokey Peters, the internet manager via email and set upa time to test drive the car. Smokey met me when I arrived and introduced me to Jake Gilliam who would be my salesman.I did a test drive, liked the car and decided to buy that afternoon. The whole process went smoothlyand I drove away with my new to me car. Later that night I realized I had forgotten my garage door opener in my old car. After reading so many great reviews, I decided to go to Bud Brown when shopping for my new GTI despite living 3 hours from the dealership. The trip was without a doubt worth the extra time! I came in knowing exactly which car I wanted and we had already discussed many details via phone. They had the car shined up and waiting right out front upon my arrival and greeted me with a handshake as I pulled up. The service continued throughout my test drive, paperwork and even after I came home. My vehicle needed a seat cover replaced (it was wrinkled from the factory) and the guys at Bud Brown were willing to set up an appointment at my local dealership for me--awesome. A totally stress-free car buying experience that ran circles around my the local guys. I'll come straight back here for my next car someday. My Mazdaspeed3 (which I was very attached to) broke down, and the repair would be more expensive than trading it in. This was obviously very upsetting, especially for a student with not much extra income. I contacted Bud Brown VW about their 2008 GTI and even though I was at work in Zona Rosa, Tom made the long drive to pick me up. The process was painless, Tom was extremely nice and easy to talk to, and I left with a car that I'm sure I'll eventually love just as much as the Speed. The vehicle we purchased was not at Bud Brown very long. I was shocked it had lasted as long as it did. Ironically enough, the day we were scheduled to go look at the car, another family had arrived just minutes before we had and were very interested in it. They took it for a test drive and then sat down to negotiate. We feared they would be driving away with the car we wanted. Thankfully, for whatever reason they decided not to get the car! I didn't purchase my car from this dealership, but it is SO much closer to my house ( 1 mile) that I decided to do all of my service work here. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome these guys are! Five Stars! They have helped me fix things on my car, that didn't quite need a service appt when I just pop in for a question, they are immediately out in the parking lot, looking at it, fixing it! When I do need a service appt., I am in and out and all is fixed correctly! They are the nicest bunch of guys I have ever met, and super knowledgeable! My FOB was being strange when I popped in to ask a couple of questions, they said they could test it, and wound up putting a new battery in it for no charge! My power window was acting squirrley and bam, they are in the parking lot re-setting it for me!. I didn't even buy car from them but they treat EVERY customer like they did! Next car....Bud Brown! I have been searching for a car to fit my needs for about 3 months. I had never considered buying a Volkswagen because I have always had either GM or Chrysler vehicles. However, I stopped by the lot expecting to drive through and not find anything like I had on the other lots. I was approached by a manager, Smokey. My first thought was 'here we go, another salesman' but to my surprise he asked what I was interested in and gave me some information to make an educated purchase. I eventually met with Missy McConnell. She is by far the BEST salesperson I have ever encountered. She is super friendly, funny, easy to get along with and her best quality: she is more concerned with her customer's satisfaction than she is selling a car. She invested her afternoon into finding a car I liked. (I test drove several because I am picky!) Her patience is amazing and if I ever need a car in the next few years I will be buying from her again! Also, Bobby in Finance is hilarious, as well as, very professional. He explained every detail. option, and incentive and I left his office with a full understanding of the purchase agreement. There were no 'hidden' fees to negotiate, like with other dealers. He was up front and honest and I appreciated his integrity.

Janet & I drove to Bud Brown after my release from Kindred Wound Care Hospital after a very long stay. She wanted a VW as we had one in the 70's. At the dealership we were met by Missy McDonnell who knew people we knew and we looked at cars and cars. Jan was quick to pick a Jetta Sportwagon TDI and Missy was quick to give us a demo ride. The trade went well and after a short while it was ours. We drove it home the next morning and we've been happy with it and still are. It has 70,000 miles on it, has given us great mileage and we're sure if we trade again it will be the same people & with a Volkswagon. It may not be a Jetta but it will be a Volkswagon TDI for sure. Janet & I went to Bud Brown in 2010 after I was just released from a 120 day hospital stay at Kindred Wound Care Center. At the dealership we were met by Missy McConnell.After being briefed on the different models we chose to take a ride in the TDI Jetta SportwagonWe worked out a trade with our Lincoln LT and drove it home the next morning.. Phil wasn't in, and I walked in in jeans and cowboy boots and was treated like I had walked in in a business suit and mink coat by Andre. He was excellent at finding exactly what I wanted, let me take it home overnight, and made a special trip in the next day to make sure the sale went smoothly, which of course, it did. Grant Fisher assisted me with purchasing a Used Subaru Forester. Grant was very professional and helpful with helping me make the purchase. He was very friendly and while they do not focus on Subaru's he was very willing to help me understand the car and the technology (I was new to using a Bluetooth). I visited Bud Brown to look at a 2015 GTI SE that I saw listed on their website. I currently own a 2012 GTI that I purchased from BB back in 2011, which was a great experience, so returning was an easy decision.I worked with Eric Shaver, who was very helpful, laid back and easy to deal with. I discovered after a recent oil change at Bud Brown VW that my car was subject to a recall. The service writer missed the recall at the time of my service. When I brought this to Bud Brown's attention, they sent a driver to pick-up my car, left me with a loaner car during the day, and returned my car by the end of the day.I was stunned and impressed by this level of commitment to satisfying a service customer, I truly appreciate it and others should know about it.

My very own red convertible was on my bucket list, and had been on my list for a long time. After shopping online an selecting an array of red convertibles, Bud Brown in Olathe was just the second stop. Eric Shaver met us on the lot as we circled the VW Eros, a lovely red hard-top convertible. He gave us helpful information, provided a test drive and treated us with respect. When I arrived, both cards were ready to go. Smokey greeted me and introduced me to Eric but neither were pushy or aggressive like some car salesman can be. Eric was pleasant, laid back and very knowledgeable while we test drove both cars. He never made one move to pressure me at all. I believe if I weren't ready to buy, we would have parted ways casually and politely. However, I was ready to buy and we proceeded. Negotiating a price we could both be happy with was a short and easy process. The finance guy was equally nice and easy to work with. I also had an interaction with parts and the parts/service cashier. They were equally nice. I had a very good experience at Bud Brown VW. I knew about what I wanted going in, and John Allen (salesman) was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding what I wanted. I had never bought a car at a dealership like this before, so my perception going in was based mainly on stereotypes and commercials. Bud Brown did not live up to these expectations (which is a good thing). I almost felt like we were forgetting something when we went to finalize things; it just seemed too easy. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I would recommend John Allen at Bud Brown VW to anyone.

Went in to test drive a vw Passat I had been eyeballing for a week. Got greeted right away by Chris Smith. From start to finish he and everyone else along the line were great to work with. I can not recommend Missy enough! This was my third car from Bud Brown. Mike Motley has helped me with each car. I can't recommend him and the crew at Bud Brown enough. Mike takes the time to listen to what I want and doesn't stop until he finds it for me. I will never buy a car from another salesman or dealership. I went to another dealership falling for a gimmick buy back scam and was treated horribly. (Lees Summit VW) I now know better than to waste my time and will head straight to Bud Brown next time!!

Overall it was a very good experience. Kudos to Andre BonHomme, and so many of the Bud Brown VW staff, who went above and beyond the call to make sure I was extremely satisfied by the time I left their showroom. I was going to the auto auction that morning, but those plans fell apart. I googled used cars and Bud Brown showed up high on the list. Long story short, I was test driving, got the car inspected independently, got my insurance situated over their phone and fax the same day. I was shown VERY personal and attentive BBVW customer service. It was fun and exciting. The least appreciated part of my experience was with the financial guy. His eye contact was minimal. Eew! He didn't shake my hand after we had finished our transaction. HuH? OK financial guy, I'm not mad atcha. You did ask me if I was excited. Here are the details, I had seen 4 cars on the BBVW website to test drive. I talked with Smokey (They say "he looks like Smokey Robinson") who said come on down and he'd get a salesperson to show the cars to me. At first, I thought it was too far from my Overland Park location. Turns out, it was only 14 minutes away, and I'm glad I made the trip! Bud Brown VW is the last car dealership on a strip of several dealerships just off I-35 S in Olathe. The staff seemed to get how to make sure that I didn't even consider anyplace but Bud Brown. Andre BonHomme was my salesperson. He was friendly and he quickly realized I was determined to find something. He was just as determined to help me find the right car for me. Andre listened when I told him what I was looking for. At first, I wasn't exactly sure about what I wanted, but I was sure about what I didn't want. I drove 4 cars and compared odometer, gas mileage, engine noise, response, roominess and gadgets. When we finished the test drives, I made a choice for a car that checked off all the boxes. Andre shared he had been at another dealership, but he didn't like the way they pressured the customers to make the sale. What he loved about Bud Brown was how everyone's approach was to serve the customer well, keep the prices reasonable and to NOT be that dealership that puts pressure on the customer, just to get the deal. He said customers would return after looking elsewhere, because they'd find that Bud Brown did have the best deal, after all. At first, I took this with a grain of salt. But after it came time to figure out the price, I saw that it was for real. BBVW worked with me. When it looked like it might not happen, we figured a way to make it happen, together. They do care about customer service. And that is very important to me. Buying a car is overwhelming. I had originally wanted to go to the auto auction and get a car. After I got to BBVW, I was so relieved to be able to choose from clean cars that looked good and drove well. I even had the car inspected by an independent mechanic, who gave me a double thumbs up on the purchase. At the end of the day, Peter, Steve, Andre, the guys in the garage, the receptionist, folks in the accessories/parts shop, oh yeah, and Smokie, made sure that I felt good about the whole process. I was in need of a new car and was looking at other places but not happy with what I was finding. So I called Bud brown and got to talk to Smokey about a car that would work for me. He told me that I would get Eric as my sales rep. Eric showed me the car that I was thinking about getting. Then showed me a 2012 Jetta. Test drove both and fell in love with the 2012. Eric was so friendly and understanding since this was my first time buying. I have already told my friends to check them out. I will never go anywhere else. Attempted to purchase a Jetta from Bud Brown the sales people were extremely nice until they found out I was also talking with a rival dealer and their price was better ($1,000) then they were through trying to sell me a car told me they were not going to lose money. I am by no means a genius but the other dealership did not lose money on the car or they would not be in business. I do appreciate the time they took to start with when trying to make a deal. just should try to be competitive with other dealers. Thanks Shawn

The customer service experience at Bud Brown was wonderful. They found a car that was just what I was looking for at a great price, and have been following up every once in a while to make sure that I'm still enjoying my vehicle. I had a little issue with the vehicle right at the very beginning, but when I went back the people at the service center identified it as a software setting that had been flipped because the software was updated on the car. They had me in and out in 5 minutes, so it was no big deal at all. Overall, absolutely wonderful experience.

Eric Shaver is a great salesman! Little to no pressure, informative and friendly. I would return to him when its time to trade.Frank in the finance department was not exceptionally helpful and as a woman talked down to me and I honestly contemplated not getting the car. I felt that I was clear in not wanting to purchase an extended warranty and I was made to feel as if I was making a huge mistake by not getting that. If I return to this dealership I would make sure not to work with Frank again.

Hello,I really hope this email to be delivered to the owner or the General Manager of Bud Brown VW.I had a super bad experience yesterday ( 10/4/14) at Bud Brown VW.I originally went to the dealership to purchase a Certified Pre-owned VW Passat SE V 6 on 9/29/15. The car was not there, since a manager drove it home. So I went back yesterday at1:15 PM.I test drove the car, and I told Andre Bonhomme that I like it. In the mean time, Andre gathered my trade in info. So we went back inside. Andre got my car key as well, which was fine.Anyway, after a while waiting Andre came back with an offer. So,the offer is; $6,300.00 for my trade in. This is, Toyota Camry LE 2011 with 48,000 miles with clean title and very good condition. So, I told Andre that is unacceptable offer, as my car trade in value on KBB or anywhere else is well over $11,000.00. So, he looked it up on line. Andre was shocked as he saw that my car trad in value is $11,500.00. So, he wasn't able to justify the large discrepancy in the price. The other thing is that the VW is being advertised on Bud Brown's web site that has only 4,200 mile, but in fact, since the car is being driven by a manager everyday to his home in Independence, now it has over 5,200 mile. When I told Andre, he just ignored me and said: well, it is what is!So, Andre went back to the finance room to play with numbers. Then he came back. Now they increased my trade in to $10,300.00 (still unacceptable). The sad part is that, Andre or the finance person didn't bother to apologizes or give me a reasoning as to why they valued my car at $6,300.00 ($4000.00 less) the first time.At this point, I was very disappointed, however,I still wanted to make a deal and purchase the car. So they played with numbers one more time, but I think neither Andre nor the finance guy were interested any more to make the deal happen,so I told Andre that's not going to work.So, when I was ready to leave I asked Andre for my car key. He went to get my car, and came back with the key about 10 minutes later. So gave me the car key, and told me go get you car, it is in the back.I started walking toward the used car area, but couldn't see my car. So, I used the "Panic Alarm" to be able to locate my car. It's very odd and unprofessional that they drove my car for a test drive, but they couldn't park it where I parked originally or at least park it closer so I didn't have to wonder around in the lot and look for my car.I don't believe that one or two unprofessional employee can represent an organization as a whole, however, I DO believe that the guidelines are based upon top managers view, which in this case is not in your favor. I NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE AT ANY DEALERSHIP BEFORE IN MY LIFE.THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE WITH ANY STANDARDS. UNPROFESSIONAL SALES PERSON AS WELL AS STAFF. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT I WASTED SO MUCH OF MY VALUABLE TIME TRYING TO GIVE YOU BUSINESS.

I had a wonderful experience at Bud Brown. Andrew Lowe was very helpful and frank with me and was able to answer all of my questions. He gave me all the information I needed to make a decision on exactly which car I wanted to get. I didn't feel like he was trying to get me to buy "any car"; I felt like he was helping me find the car that was right for me. When I had finally decided on the car, they were able to get it to me in a week. This might sound like a long time, but I wanted a newly released 2015 Golf (TDI, manual, middle trim). They found one on the boat from the factory and reserved it for me before it even made port. I got exactly the car I wanted with only 12 miles on it. Absolutely amazing. The financing department was very helpful too. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, and I'm absolutely in love with the car.

I first called Smokey after seeing a Passat online and he made sure to hold it for us as we drove from a few hours to check it out. I recently bought a world auto certified pre-owned Jetta Sportwagen TDI from Bud Black. I live about two hours away in another city with several dealerships, but a used Jetta Sportwagen TDI was at least somewhat of a rarer car with the exact options I was looking for, and I'd gotten pretty set on one because it looked like the best car for my lifestyle and needs (great highway miles, good get up and go, room for people and cargo). So as a result I ended up at Bud Brown rather than a local dealership, and I'm definitely glad I did. I had email contact with Andy early on and he answered several questions and we worked out a lot of things in advance so when I was able to get up to Olathe on a weekend a lot of things would be taken care of and if I liked the car it would be easy to drive away with! I went up there on Labor day weekend and everything checked out so we started wrapping up the process. Even though it was a holiday weekend it did not take long at all with the advance work that they did for me to purchase the car. There was a short wait while the financing department worked out their matters so Andy and I just chatted about German cars and motors and so on. He's very knowledgeable and a real enthusiast! Once the finance department was ready for me Frank walked me through everything in a through fashion. There wasn't any kind of high pressure tactics there but he was able to swing some things where I could get some options I was interested in with a price that would work for me! Great follow-up too! I'd definitely make the drive up there to deal with them again in the future and I would encourage anyone else in the region to do so also!

I brought my 2004 Passat in for an oil change, oil pan gasket, serpentine belts and potentially an allignment. Later that day they called and told me the oil pan gasket wasn't the issue but a $700+ axle seal. They could have just thrown the allignment in but said it was fine. I drive 800 miles a week and decided to see what I could do about trading up. I spoke with Steve and Andy Lowe that same day and niether of them pressured me into buying a car on the spot. Because of that I returned the next day to take a look at what they had on the lot. My price range was originally $15k or less but after talking to Andy that second day, he helped me realize that the total monthly cost of owning a TDI would be worth it due to the amazing fuel economy. I test drove a 2013 with 16k on it. Wow the thing had power and was epa rated at 42mpg. After a couple days of negotiation and ironing out the financing, I hopped into my new car. The thing I liked most about the folks at Bud Brown was that they understood my knowledge and expertise with cars anf never once trued to feed me a line of BS just to get a sale. This 2013 Jetta TDI is getting me 54mpg and does not compromise on power and sporty feel or luxury. I would recommend Bud Brown to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle and anyone who wants a nice car with a great sporty feel and amazing fuel economy, look at the Jetta TDI.

We were in the process of trading in our Honda Pilot for a new CRV. My wife saw a Tiguan as she was driving home that day and suggested that we at least look at them as we'll. SO, we went to Bud Brown Volkswagen. After a test drive, we were ready to buy a Tiguan. The ENTIRE process from start to finish was so easy. Everyone we worked with was professional and friendly. Our sales person, Dominic Ishmael was very knowledgeable. The general manager, Rick Pringle, was determined to get my wife into the Tiguan. Wow was I surprised with the offer they gave me for a trade-in. Talk about lowballers. 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4X4 with a 4 lift and 35 tires (62,000 miles) Kelly Blue Books for trade-in value at $16,900. They offered me $13,000 Thats $4,000 below NADA and KBB (for a stock Jeep which mine isnt stock) they threw around a bunch of numbers trying to show me what a good deal it was!!! Wow!!! Very disappointed in Bud Brown VW. They lowest offer I had received so far. EVERY dealership before was at $17,000 or higher. We were in the process of replacing our Honda Pilot with a CRV. My wife was driving home and saw a Tiguan. She suggested that we at least go look at one before we made a deal on the Honda. So, we went to Bud Brown Volkswagen. A test drive with Dominic Ishmael followed. During the test drive, he was a wealth of knowledge on the vehicle. Upon our return to the dealership, Rick Pringle found out what we exactly wanted in a vehicle and made it possible for us to be the proud owners of a Tiguan. Went in to "LOOK" at a used 2011 Mazda CX-9 on a weekend. We didn't think we'd be purchasing that day, but Tobey did his job and we found a car we really liked. Tobey and the finance department worked great with us to get to a price and payment that met our needs and the deal was made. Bud Brown has a great set of salespersons and people behind the scenes. The pressure to buy was not like many dealers just trying to get a used car off the lot. Tobey was very friendly and easy to work with. Great experience and we love the "new" car!!

My husband has to drag me kicking and screaming to shop for cars. It is usually a negative experience and I have found as a woman I come away feeling stupid and laughed at. What a HUGE SURPRISE when I experienced salesman Joel Presnell. He was considerate and spoke directly TO me and asked questions in order to find out what kind of car would work best for me. This is the FIRST time EVER that I had a positive experience with a sales man. What impressed me the most was when we went to wait on financing which I expected to take my whole day and be painful. I recently purchased a Volkswagen CC from Bud Brown VW. Not only were they fair, but they treated me like family and made me feel really good about my purchase. In fact, there were some challenges with the glue from the price sticker damaging my tint. I also noticed a white discoloration on one of the speakers. Both were noticed AFTER I drove it off the lot, but they let me bring it back and they fixed it for me, at no additional cost. They wanted the car to be perfect for me and I was very grateful. Vince, Norman, Tom and Pete - all great guys with great hearts. I will be loyal to Bud Brown VW for life, both as it relates to my car, any future cars and the referral of others.

I literally walked in to Bud Brown, met Joel, and within the next few minutes was looking at the new car I would take home that very same day. After having a horrendous potential buying experience at another dealership, I came to Bud Brown in Olathe, with is 40 minutes from my home. Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I were greeted as soon as we stepped out of my vehicle. At other dealerships, I have felt hassled and less respected because I am only 23 years-old, but never for a moment did I feel like I was getting quick-talked or cheated at Bud Brown. I came in to purchase a 2012 VW GTI, which was very well priced for its condition and mileage. I wanted a very hard to obtain Eos Executive Convertible in an even rarer color combination. I went into the dealership and was greeted by Andy Lowe. I explained what I wanted and how I wanted my trade in to work. Andy worked with me to secure a competitive price and then went about securing the car! Since the car is so rare I was told that it would take roughly two months for it to reach Kansas City. However, my car arrived about a month early and I could not be more thrilled! My experience with Andy and Frank was fantastic and I would recommend Bud Brown VW to anyone interested in a VW in the KC area. Another pro is that they are locally owned and operated and not one of several dealerships under one owner - which is a nice plus considering how great they are otherwise!

We went to Bud Brown just to take a look at the CPO Volkswagens. We ended up test driving two cars with John Allen and then left to mull it over. We did not get call after call from them asking us about the cars. We went back the next week and worked with Dominic to purchase the Passat. We found a used GTI that fit all our requirements, even below the "safe" price we were willing to work out. The staff was very courteous and willing to help even when busy, we never felt like a bother. They were not too pushy either, there was the typical press for same day purchase, but it was easy and comfortable to walk away for a bit without being overwhelmed by pressure. I hope to continue doing business with them for many years.

Fantastic Experience I was in a car wreck where my former vehicle was totaled and I needed a replacement vehicle ASAP. I was looking for the best deal on a reliable car and knew I wanted a Volkswagen. I was looking at a number of different dealerships in the area, however that changed once I visited with Toby and Joel. I worked with Toby first and he was incredibly helpful and friendly. When I had to leave after my first visit without making a deal (I had my two small children with me) there was no pressure at all. In fact, when I called back to schedule a time to come in, Toby actually scheduled me at a time that he would not be able to help me, putting me with Joel, resulting in him losing half the sale, because that time worked best for me and my family. I would have never expected that and it solidified for me that the folks here are truly about the customer. It took us 3 different trips into the dealership to get a deal done (at no fault of theirs) and they were incredibly patient with me and my family and helpful and friendly at every turn. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had (or even heard of for that matter) and they have gained a life long customer. I would highly recommend Bud Brown Volkswagen to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car. Rare is the occasion when buying a car that the car itself is secondary in the process. Volkswagen's are excellent vehicles, I knew that going in. What I didn't expect was to find car dealers who genuinely cared about the customer and not their commission.

In 2013, we purchased a new VW Jetta Sport Wagen TDI DSG from Andy. He was top-notch and first-rate in providing accurate and precise answers to all of our questions in the office context, in the lot, and on the demo drive. We were very impressed with his knowledge and his ability to communicate it to us. In 2014, a year later,we returned to buy a "reasonably new" used car and once again Andy Lowe showed his encyclopedic knowledge of the design and performance parameters of the vehicles were interested in. Overall, Andy is very pleasant and easy to deal with. It is obvious that he is a "VW Enthusiast" who has made a really in-depth study of his product. His knowledge of "details" does show proof that he is very interested in and is also very fond of the product he sells. So, knowing that we are being completely honest, we can happily be a cheer leader for Andy. Rah-rah Andy!Also, while we were having a 5000-mile service performed on our 2013 Sport Wagen, we met Vince Weston as we were "just wandering around" among the "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicles. He made it plain that he had no intention of "distracting" one of Andy's customers and we certainly did and do appreciate that polite and honorable behavior. He answered our initial questions regarding a 2010 Jetta CS 1.5 liter 4-door sedan and, most likely contributed to the fact that we bought that vehicle from Andy on his first day back to work after his family vacation.

Joel was great. He worked with me and was very friendly. I felt that he cared about giving me the best possible service. However, I felt that Brian wanted to push me around and didn't respect me, as a woman. I wonder if he would have treated a man the way he treated me? When I told him I did not want the warranty, he would not accept my answer. He asked me 4 or 5 times if I wanted the warranty. I told him "no" each time. After the fifth time, I finally had to tell him if he didn't back off, I was going to leave and not buy the car at all. If I hadn't had such a good relationship with Joel, I would have walked out of the dealership and bought a car somewhere else. Joel saved the sale. Brian's approach may be good for some people, but not for me!

We came in wanting a used car, but they didn't have the model we were looking for. They ran then numbers for us on the new version to see if it would fit within our pre-determined budget...and they made it work! Their list price on a new car was slightly higher than other dealers, but the team really worked hard to fit it within our budget and our long-term needs. We really appreciated all the work they put into our car purchase.

We had a dusty floor mat, a few scuffs on the outside that easily could (and should) have been buffed out, and a few smudges on the trim inside that should have been taken care of.

I absolutely love the car that I was sold and Joel and the finance team worked really hard to stay within my budget. Joel was extremely friendly and personable and seemed to want to make my car buying experience as simple as possible. When I sat down with the finance guys they had initially presented me with pricing options that were not going to work for me. They came back and asked me what I could do financially and said that they would make it happen. I really didn't believe them, but they crunched the numbers and came back with a resounding yes! In the end, I got the car that I wanted at the price that I wanted to pay. After we got all of the paperwork done, Joel even assisted me in taking my rental car back to the rental place so I could drive home in my brand new car. Out of all of the experiences I have had with purchasing vehicles, not one other dealer has ever even offered to help me deal with having two vehicles in the same location. Bud Brown has set a standard in vehicle purchasing that I have not found anywhere else, and I plan to continue to get my vehicles with them.

Bud Brown Volkswagen is a great dealership to work with. Another Volkswagen dealership in the area couldn't help me find the car I wanted but Bud Brown did! They are very reasonable when negotiating a deal. Just tell them what you want and they will help you get the best deal possible!

On 2/15/14, after test driving a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta Limited Edition (VIN: 3VWAX7AJ6AM092498), Brandon Blond, a car dealer at Bud Brown Volkswagen, and his sales manager, Rick Pringle, assured me that if I let them run my credit, start the process to get me financed and sign the initial paperwork, they would hold the car for me until Tuesday (2/18/14) at close. In the meantime, they would back with me on my interest rate. The dealership was closed on Sunday the 16th. On the 17th, I called and spoke with Rick to find out my interest rate. He had Brandon email me the purchase proposal, which did not include the interest rate. I emailed Brandon asking for the interest rate again. He did not respond. I called the dealership again. Brandon said that he was not legally allowed to know my interest rate and that would be something that I'd have to discuss with the finance guy. Might I just add that Brandon and Rick were both allowed to know my credit score though. I asked to speak to the finance guy. Brandon said he'd have him call me. I never heard from him so I called again and was told to leave a message. Basically, after going round and round, Brandon was finally able to tell me my interest rate (this was suddenly legal for him to know), which was a much higher rate than what I could get through my bank. I decided to go ahead and finance through the bank, went back on Tuesday as we had agreed on, and was informed that the car was sold. Everything that happened tells me that Brandon and Rick were dishonest to me all along. They sold the car out beneath me after convincing me to run my credit. Bud Brown Volkswagen is an unprofessional dealership and I would never recommend anyone buy a car from.

We (wife and I) was looking for a good used vehicle for daughter in law.The wife and I looked on the internet and found several vehicles from several dealers. Due to my work schedule, I sent my wife and daughter in law to look at these vehicles. The dealers that my family went to were not receptive to 2 women looking at specific cars they were interested in. At 2 dealers, They were not helped at all, another dealer sales people had a drawing to determine who would help them (It was very obvious what they were doing because of the ability to see them in the "huddle" and several times they turned around and looked at them. Mr. Toby Smith was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Smith answered all questions about the vehicles. When ask about a certain vehicle, Mr. Smith did not try to press the women into a more expensive vehicle (which several dealers tried). Mr. Smith was very patient with us and even took the time to let me come to the dealership and let me look at the vehicle with my wife at a later date. Mr. Smith is a very good salesman and projects the image of a knowledgeable and capable salesman. The reason for the "good" score in price is because I looked the value of the vehicle up on Kelly Blue Book and wanted to pay the "suggested retail price" but the dealership would only go to $400. over that price. The price for it still was good but I sure would like to have paid the suggested retail price. In summary, I must say that I am very happy with Bud Brown dealership and the people that work there. They do not employ the "high pressure sales" tactic that his competitor (down the road) does. I have 2 more daughter-in laws and plan to use Bud Brown as the dealership to purchase vehicles for them.

This was my first car buying experience, and it coudln't have gone better. I was shopping from Kentucky for a specific vehicle online (2013 Blue Touareg) with low miles. Since I couldn't find anything close by, I broadened my search and found this dealership plus about 4 others that had the car I was looking for. Bud Brown (Smokey Peters) was the only dealership that kept in constant contact with me and answered all of my questions (and I had a million...), but I never felt the usual car salesman pressure from him. He worked with me on a fair price for the vehicle (all via email) and was extremely accommodating with my travel plans. He also ensured that the vehicle would be safe from other purchasers until my arrival in Kansas, but made sure to let me know that that didn't mean I was required to purchase it. In the future, if this dealership and the dealership in my hometown had the exact same car, I would still buy again from Bud Brown. Excellent and knowledgeable staff.

I knew what I wanted and had picked out two vehicles to see on the lot. They special deals made haggling a non issue. They gave us what we wanted for our trade in. All in all it was the best new car buying experience I have had. I discovered a loud noise in the cabin from something loose which they have promised to fix. Hopefully that will be taken care of and then I can rate their quality of work.

Coming down South-35, I could see the Bud Brown Volkswagen logo getting bigger and with it, my excitement. Jim welcomed us on the lot with an extended hand and from there on, I knew I was going home that day with the car of my dreams. Its been 5 months since the day I drove off the lot in my 2005 gti but every time I step into my car, the excitement and thrill of that day hits me like a k04 turbo. These guys are awesome. Joel is extremely helpful, friendly, and pleasant to work with. He is patient and was never perceived as a "pushy" salesperson. We had a limited amount of time to find a car, but he made the process less stressful as well as efficient.

I went in because of the sign and drive event I learned about on a commercial. I have been considering purchasing a new car and this seemed to be attractive. Long story short, I leased a new VW Passat and they were able to give me a fair amount for my trade and and get the monthly payment where I wanted it after about one hour of negotiations. This is the second VW I have purchased from Bud Brown and have had a good experience both times. Much better than experiences I had a Molle with previous VWs.

I have had a very frustrating first time experience with this dealership. I visited twice to view what I consider an extremely limited inventory of the motor trend car of the year (2012), the Passat? I still don't understand why you would you have an extremely limited inventory of this car? The sales team was very helpful I can't blame them, but I wasn't impressed by management. I call back to do a deal on Monday after viewing the car late Saturday night and magically the car is sold, the only one they had, yes they only had one. Not a phone call saying we know you have looked at this car twice we want you to have a first opportunity to buy it. I didn't even get a call from management that they would check with the factory to find out when they would receive another. Someone must know when they will ship out models to a specific area? I guess I'm supposed to just keep showing up to the dealer hoping one arrives. I want to buy now and if VW is not interested in my business I will buy something else. I've never bought VW before but I am not impressed so far. I'm amazed, it's a week before Christmas I want to buy an expensive car, I am literally begging someone to take my money, and these guys disappear, because their one car is gone. I would have thought at a minimum someone would call and say we checked with VW and they are shipping us more Passats on this date. Let's find a way to do a deal, we don't want to lose your business, lets get creative. I am certain by the end of this week someone will be willing to make me a deal and take my money. I just had no idea it would be so hard to buy a Volkswagen. My next step assuming I can't resolve the matter this week is to outline in a message to the incoming US Operations leader, Michael Horn explaining how difficult it is for a first time buyers with money to buy one of his cars before I make a purchase.

Missy was generally aware of our situation (given the very poor condition of our trade-in) but never once took advantage of our somewhat compromised position. She sold us a pre-owned Toyota Sienna, and while this make/model is not her specialty, she was still very knowledgeable and helpful. More than that, she was extremely personable and easy to work with, defying every single stereotype of the "used car salesman." I was searching for a car to lease about 3 weeks ago on line. I filled out some information regarding what I wanted, my name, address, all the basic info it requested. I was to submit the info and someone would call me, text me, or email shortly. I did not want that so I hit "no thanks". Needless to say, I recieved 3 phone calls and 3 emails. Zach at Bud Brown was the most professional, friendly and non-pushy. He was patient with my and my questions, he answered them. He was never demanding, just friendly during our email interactions. It took about 3 weeks until I was actually ready to test drive. So I set up a time to visit. My husband and I were greeted by a very friendly Joel who introduced us to Zach and then Joel let us test drive a couple of vehicles. We applied for the car of our choice and two days later, we were back in the office with Frank the Fincance man (sorry, I do not remember Frank's last name) signing for our new loan. As much as I hate buying new cars (the one I traded in was 14 years old and I was very attached to it), and negotiating prices, this was a rather easy expierence, pleasant in fact. I told Andre what i wanted and where i needed to be on the total price. He took me right to a section of pre-owned certified Jetta's, after walking through them, and inspecting each one, i found the one optioned the way i wanted, and we took it for a drive. Bud Brown gave me a VERY fair trade value on my 7 year old car with over 200,000 miles on it. I was so excited to get a Jetta just off lease, and Andre and the Staff at Bud Brown made this the... "NO KIDDING".. best car buying experience i have ever had!This is why i have given the ratings i have above. I highly recommend Bud Brown VW in Olathe, and be sure to ask for Andre!

UPDATE: I received a call from a man who said he was the general sales manager at Bud Brown. His name was Steve Everhart. He was very professional, he listened to all my complaints about what I felt was a lack of professionalism and service and he did something about it. Now I have been made whole and I really have to thank Steve Everhart at Bud Brown Volkswagen for taking what was going to be my last experience into a possible future Volkswagen purchase. Also the salesmen who helped me, Brian Phillips and Zachary Bruehler were great guys it was just issues after my interactions with these 2 men that made the experience take a bad turn. I will definitely think about buying a VW from these great people in the future. Again, Thanks Steve!

I spent over a year trying to find the right car. I went to several dealerships in both Missouri and Kansas, and often found cars listed wrong on the internet, or I ran into unfriendly staff. I came across a car that interested me from Bud Brown VW, so I stopped by to check it out. I met up with Joel and we took the car for a test drive. No pressure to buy, and all the staff I dealt with were very friendly. I felt like the price was fair, and they worked to get me a good deal on financing. Hopefully I will not be in the market for a car again for quite some time, but when I am, I will stop by this dealership first!

We were pleasantly and casually met on the lot by Dmitriy. He was happy to show and let us test drive all of the vehicles we were interested in, and he didn't try to push us toward anything we didn't want. He was also able to answer all our questions and tell us the differences between the vehicles we were looking at. By the end of the day, we had found our new car. We were able to come to a quick agreement on fair prices for the vehicle we were purchasing and for our trade-in. Bud Brown did their best to make the paperwork process as painless as possible. Dmitriy made sure I knew how to program and use all the features on my new-to-me car before I drove off the lot. Everyone we worked with was very nice and accommodating. Bud Brown is a great dealership! We'll be back!

My purchase was based upon price, services offered, ideal choice of Passat but; the deal maker was due to the complete understanding that Jim was only satisfied if I as his customer was completely satisfied. We bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler for our daughter. Joel was very friendly, helpful and not pushy. They didn't detail it very well at all. I think they might have sprayed the sides but that's it. But we did that the next day at home and it cleaned up great. We would recommend buying a car there.

All the service guys I dealt with were awesome! I needed to have warranty work done on my 2008 EOS. The dealership (Molle) where I bought the vehicle did not want to do the work. I had taken it into them several times asking for them to figure out what was wrong and fix it. Each time I was told there was nothing wrong. I knew it was a transmission issue (and I'm a girl)!! I called Bud Brown, told them what was going on, they said no problem, bring it in. They kept me in loop with several phone calls to give me updates. I was out of town and when I got back, they still had some work to do and volunteered a loaner...who does that?? NOT MOLLE...they had my car for 5 weeks to repair a "deer injury" they told me 10 days and would not give me a loaner even after they had it 2 weeks longer than I was told. Bottom line, BUD BROWN DELIVERED on their promises and more than met my expectations of what a service department should be. I highly recommend BUD BROWN VW and would encourage all VW owners to stay far away from Molle......

Normally when I walk into any car dealership, I feel creepy! I always think car dealers are trying to pull one over on me and then I feel like when I show interest in a vehicle they try to get you to sign some imaginary line written with a Sharpie BEFORE they let you talk to the finance person. NOT SO with Bud Brown! They restored my faith in car dealers. They were upfront and honest from the beginning. I like that the mysterious guys in the back that wear the suits were not in the back at all. They came out and talked to me PRIOR to negotiating a deal! Furthermore, when we came to pickup the vehicle they were quick and efficient and also treated my family (3 young children) courteously and kindly. When I need another vehicle, this will be the first place I start looking!

I went to test drive a used 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid and a new 2013 Passat Tdi that had a great cash back offer. I arrived and they were sold out of the 2013 Passat Tdi and tried to sell me a 2014 for about $3000 more (the amount of the cash back offer). I preferred the Tdi, but was out of my price range, so I bought the Optima Hybrid instead. Overall a good buying experience and got a good deal on the used car. Everyone was friendly and professional! I ran into the cars advertised on the internet being gone when I showed at several dealerships.

When we ordered accessories, Scott was very helpful and called as soon as they came in. Jake was accommodating and made setting up an appointment to have the items installed easy. Overall, the Bud Brown staff was informative, friendly, and worked well together. We are very pleased!

Well, what can I say other then my experience at BudBrown(specifically working with Jim McNeal) was excellent. My perception of "car salesman" went from dreading the sales pitch to you know these guys aren't so bad. Jim did a great job working with us as far as car buying goes. He turned a long morning into an experience that quite frankly I will not be forgetting any time soon. I might be a VW'er for life after walking out of there with a brand new car. Das Auto!

Selected used car I was interested in and sent a deposit using a credit card. They acknowledged the receipt of the credit card information. When I went back out to pick up the car a couple days later, they said they had sold the car to someone else. They did not give me prior knowledge of this. When asked about the deposit, they said since they did not run the credit card through it was meaningless. They certainly meet the qualifications of an unethical car dealer.

It was the same problem that my home dealership said they had fixed, so I limped the car into the nearest shop (Bud Brown Volkswagen) with a lot of frustration and a bit of an attitude. Steve Haller was the best at handling me and my car! Steve worked my vehicle into an already packed weekend service schedule and stayed in touch while they diagnosed a major issue that my home dealership had missed. He had the car ready for me on my return back through Kansas City (barely two working days later!), and even made a personal phone call a day or two afterward to make sure that my drive was alright and the car was working. In the end, I purchased the car, however, the process was demeaning from a customer service view. During my test drive, the salesman indicated that the vehicle came with an additional 36month/100,000mile warranty. I was surprised by that, and told him that definitely influenced my decision to purchase that day. However, when the time came to sign for the car, the warranty provided to me indicated that I would be responsible for 50% of costs (supplies and labor). This information was not disclosed to me during our conversation. At that point, the salesman asked the manager Nick to talk with me. Nick's comments were rude and condescending. He stated, "Most people will read the warrant paper on the window before they drive the car." I was very disappointed in his response as a manager, and shared with him the conversation I had with the salesman. Nick continued the rationale he used previously, "Well, we don't give warranties away, you should have read the 50% responsibility before you drove the car." I initially left the dealership, however, the price of the car was very good in my opinion, and I also realized that my own frustrations with the manager's comments lead me to leave. In the end, I purchased an extended warranty - I'm sure some people will see this as the manager improved the bottom line sales, however, from a customer service perspective, I can assure any readers that I will not use this dealership for any future car purchases.

Bought a 2010 Jetta and 2012 Jetta both TDIs from Bud Brown. The 2012 windows started squeaking and VW nor Bud Brown would pay for all the repairs. Said the window goes up and down as designed. They expected me to pay for part of the repairs with only 26k miles on the car, been fighting the issues since near 15k miles but the 2010 Jetta is fine with no squeaks. I will never buy another VW again, Traded in the 2012 Jetta TDI for a Chevy Cruze diesel! At least with all my other GM trucks they have stood behind the warranty!

Bought 2 VW Jetta TDIs from Bud Brown a 2010 and 2012. Loved our Jettas but back windows squeaked on our newest 2012 Jetta, VW nor Bud Brown would cover the repairs in full. Wanted me to pay for part of the repairs under a Full bumper to bumper warranty when we had only 26k miles on the car. VW will not stand behind their product! Loved the cars but won't cover design flaws in their new body style car. Bought a Chevy Cruze Diesel and traded in the 2012 and havn't looked back. Never again will I own another VW.

I made an appt with Mike Motley and he was there prompt on time with the cars I wanted to test drive (Jetta TDI, Jetta hybird, and Passat TDI) He quickly explained the hybird concept and we determined it would not be the best choice since I drive mostly highway miles. I liked the extra space in the Passat and the extra trunk space (since I haul my golf clubs everywhere) I drove both of them and Mike just helped, did not push or hard sell me. I gave him my number and he didn't call me 5 times a day bugging me, he just let me take my time and make the best decision. Not sure all the salesmen at Bud Brown are that way but my experience with Mike was perfect for me. I would strongly recommend contacting him if you are interested in a Volkswagen, TDI engine is the best.

Brian made our car-buying process enjoyable instead of stressful. Because of his easygoing and respectful nature, we did not feel pressured at all. He was very candid about prices from the beginning, working to help us make a decision. During a test drive, his comprehensive knowledge of Volkswagen vehicles became obvious. Customer Service is excellent. Dealership is spic and span with great restrooms and waiting room. We began looking for a new Beetle 2 plus years ago with Missy who is veryknowledgeable and informative. We might also add that she is very patient. We decided that we didn't like the new style of Beetle so we looked at many othercars during the 2 plus years. Finally, on July 9th., we decided to check out the Beetle again, so we drove to Bud Brown. Missy wasn't there that day so Brian showedus the Beetles on the showroom floor. He told us that if we would test drive one we would love it, so we did. He was right. We called Missy on July 13th. and set upa time to meet with her and finally purchased a 2013 Beetle. We love it!!

Looking for a car is possibly our least favorite thing, ranking below getting a filling and several other medical procedures. Dmitriy was very friendly, very personable. This is one of the best experiences we have had in all the years of purchasing cars. From the moment I entered the dealership to the moment we drove off with our new 2013 Jetta Hybrid, we were treated wonderfully. There was none of the back and forth banter and negotiations that makes car buying so didtasteful. I made clear when I walked through the door, that I did not want to waste their time and did not want mine wasted. I told them what I was willing to do - period. Melissa was terrific and took me at my word. She was professional, friendly and very helpful. Phil Brown was also an incredibly professional, friendly business owner who went the extra mile to assure me that customer service was the number one rule of his shop. We purchased a 2001 Beetle a month ago from Bud Brown Volkswagen . During the purchase the salesman and Internet sales manager were very friendly. I was very impressed and I sincerely thought that I had found a dealership that I was going to do business with for years to come. After driving our new used car a few days we noticed a short in the door lock system which would not allow the doors to lock nor the alarm system to work. This problem was sporadic so the problem would come and go. I think this problem was happening with the car before we purchased it and I do believe that the dealer probably was not aware of it due to it working on and off at times. This is where our disappointment started. I called the dealership several times and talked to the salesman that sold us the car asking if they might cover this problem since we had only been driving the car for 4 days. Again, very friendly salesman on the phone but despite several attempts via phone to the salesman that sold us the car and email to the internet sales manager, they did not respond even once to my request. Wow, UNBELIEVEABLE that a dealership would act in such an unprofessional way. I would have been somewhat satisfied to have gotten a call saying that they would not cover the problem just to have an answer. On a positive note, the car still has the problem with the door locks but we are very satisfied with it otherwise. I would not recommend Bud Brown Volkswagen but there are other VW dealers in our area that we will be checking out because we are planning to buy a VW Routan Van in a few months.

Having spent the past few months looking for the right car and coming up with nothing, I decided to expand my search nationwide. I found a car at Bud Brown VW that was perfect. Living in Seattle and doing business with a dealership in Kansas had me a bit worried at first, but they made it an extremely pleasant, trouble free experience. They even arranged transportation from Kansas to Washington! Steve Everhart was upfront and honest, and was great to work with. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

Our experience buying a new 2013 GTI from Bud Brown Volkswagen was the best we have ever had. Andy was a fantastic salesman that really knew alot about the car we were buying. On the day we bought the car, Bud Brown had a VW car show on their lot of older air-cooled and water cooled VW's. It wasn't a real big car show but it it certainly demonstrated to me that the Bud Brown weren't just selling cars. They are VW fans. Andy, my salesman, even had a Scirocco in the shoe.

Overall I would say that we had a very good experience. My wife and I have owned 5 Volkswagen's in last 15 years and we have been very satisfied with the brand. The main reason that we ended up at the Bud Brown lot is that while we have been loyal customers and have consistently bought from the same lot (Northtowne) I simply did not feel that we were getting the level of preferential pricing and treatment that we deserved given the amount that we have spent at their location in the last 10 years. The people at the Bud Brown location gave me a reasonable deal and were as nice as anyone that is trying sell you a car would be. While I have no reason to believe that they are being disingenuous, I will reserve my judgement on the subject of service and treatment for the first time that I need help with a warranty issue and or when I consider going back in the future to buy another car. Our sales person was a young woman named Ramyaa Ramachandran. Ramyaa is new to selling cars, and was as knowledgeable as any person could expect her to be given her time in the industry. She was a very nice person, and I very much enjoyed having the opportunity to do business with someone who is getting started in his or her profession. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new car.

Mike was friendly and very knowledgeable about Volkswagen vehicles. We were comfortable talking with him and never felt pressured. Negotiations were very swift since they set their prices pretty firm. They gave us a great value on our trade-in so I was pleased about that. Overall I'd say it was a very fair deal and we will enjoy driving our Jetta or a long time!

When I went back out to pick up the car a couple days later, they said they had sold the car to someone else. They did not give me prior knowledge of this. When asked about the deposit, they said since they did not run the credit card through it was meaningless. They certainly meet the qualifications of an unethical car dealer.

I actually deliver mail to this dealership and have been keeping an eye on inventory and have let Michael Motley know what car we were looking for. One day as I drove through the lot I noticed the car we eventually purchased and got in contact with Mike and it all went smoothly from that point on. Priced fairly and not a lot of time coming to agreement on a purchase. In short it was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. Now we are happy owners of a Volkswagon Beetle.
