From the moment the receptionist picked up the phone I could barely hear her and when I asked her to speak up she gave me an attitude and was extremely rude with me. She put me on hold and I was waiting forever!! I called back and she hung up on me when I asked for service. The service advisors also didn't pick up. She said she couldn't help me and to call back later and I did and they still didn't want to take my call. 1 hour later I realized I wasted my time and this dealership deserves no service if all they want to do it make people wait and treat them with disrespect.

don't trust these guys. They promised to pay off 3 months of old lease of a GMC Acadia to get me in a new Acadia. Started to get notices from the bank that held prior lease that was never paid off. These guys ducked me for weeks saying the paper work had to be found, and it's difficult dealing with the bank that used to write their leases (US Bank). Long story short, they pulled the "it's not documented anywhere" excuse and refused to pay the $1600 to the bank for the old lease. If it wasn't a valid claim, why did you sales person (Marc Crosby) continuously follow up with stories about how difficult it was to deal with US Bank but he was handling? Not to worry, etc. Complete BS. If you do decide to go here, make sure to document EVERYTHING, otherwise they will not honor the deal that they make. This is out second, and last GMC vehicle. In fact, this experience will make us never purchase or lease a GM again.

As promised, exceeded my expectations. Traded my Toyota Tundra which I LOVE, but I LOVE my new Yukon Denali more. Awesome, Cadillac like ride and luxury at a better price. Fair trade value, payment with 7 year 100K protection at the EXACT price I was budgeting. Settle for an AWESOME Silver with chrome when I was seeking a Gray that looked like Blue. Maybe would have grown tired of the Gray, but the Silver looks classy. I may buy or lease another car n next 7 years but I look forward to many long years with this new SUV

The good - at my initial visit to GMC of Mahwah, I was met with open arms and enthusiasm. The dealership has a wide selection of vehicles and a pristine showroom. I met with Mike Lauto - a new salesman. He was the bright spot in all my dealings at Mahwah. I named the exact vehicle and configuration I intended to lease at what cost and terms. I was told, in no uncertain terms, by Sales Manager Stephan Kirsch and General Manager Sam Booth that they would meet my needs and proffer the deal I requested. By the end of the visit, we had a gentleman's agreement. I shopped the terms at a number of competing dealerships and none came close. Well, it turns out that Grandma had it right, "If it seems to good to be true; It probably is". The bad - at the lease signing, a vehicle with different features was delivered and the terms of our 'gentleman's agreement' had changed significantly (not in my favor). I stated emphatically that I would put 'no money down' on the lease. At lease signing my $1,000.00 down payment was added as a cap cost reduction. The 58% residual value that was promised by both Mr. Booth and Mr. Kirsch, had shrunk to 55% - costing me another $2,000.00 in value. They told me is was an honest mistake that could not be corrected or amended. The ugly - when, after hours at the dealership because of the vehicle faux pas, I asked for an accommodation for lunch, Mr. Booth graciously offered me his personal vehicle to go a local deli...and.. after I suggested to Mr. Lauto that I would have been in a jam if they did not have the vehicle I requested because my ride had left earlier, he said that he would have certainly given me a ride home it that had happened. Well after I respectfully declined to sign the altered deal that before me and asked for a ride home, Mr. Booth suggested that Uber might be the best option!

Called Buick-GMC of Mahwah on 6/6/16 to inquire about expiration date of warranty. Timing chain to my 2012 GMC Terrain broke. I was told my warranty expires on 6/7/16. I was assisted by Donald Depew who arranged to have my Terrain work order written up on 6/6 and made arrangements to have my car serviced the next day. I dropped off my Terrain on 6/6 and was told the work would take 3-4 days to complete. I received a call on 6/8 that my Terrain was done and all work was covered by the warranty. All of my experiences with this service department have been nothing but positive.

The best car leasing experience I've had. I've leased for over 15 years with various dealers for various makes and models of cars, and this by far was one of the best! Elaine went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and she should receive an 'Outstanding Seller' award of some kind. She was professional, courteous, kind, sweet and caring and would not let me leave without being 'happy', not satisfied, but 'happy'. That sealed the deal for me and I will definitely buy another Buick! I went to the dealer and agreed on a selling price of a new GMC Canyon. I put down $1,000 and ordered the truck from the factory. 8 weeks later, the truck was built and I went in to set a price for my trade in. We agreed on $43,000 for the new truck and $14,500 for the trade. When they sent over the final paperwork they included this:There is one other minor detail...on the buyers order we are showing on paper$14,000 for your trade but we are also submitting a line item discount labelledConquest rebate - doesn't apply on Diesel trucks but we are working this for youon our own to give you the correct selling price and the $14,500 for your trade.It's a bit of smoke and mirrors but the net number is the same...$43,000$14,500$28,500$44,000$14,000$1500$28,500I called GM direct and the rebate was available for the Diesel. I immediately called the dealer and told them to re-write the deal showing our originally agreed upon numbers and the rebate which I am entitled to.Sam told me he would honor the price of the truck, but my trade would be lowered down to 14,000 and I would get the rebate. He would not explain the "smoke and mirrors" or comment on why he wouldn't honor the agreed price.Sam told me "this is the final deal, take it or leave it - and then hung up the phone on meYou tried to scam me out of the rebate - you got caught - and you hung up on me - THIS WAS THE SALES MANAGER -

On Monday I made an appointment see a specific used vehicle on the following Thursday as I was out of town for a few days. I received 4-5 emails confirming the appointment for 3 different sales personnel . The emails very clearly stated that the vehicle will be ready when you arrive, They asked that if anything changes to please give them the courtesy of a phone call and they will do the same. Well I arrive at the dealership and see the vehicle out front. I think great they are all set up for my test drive. I enter the building and ask for the sales person, Lisa Welsch or Ryan Mays. I am told they are the internet group, they have left for the day but should have assigned a salesman. Well there was no salesman assigned. So while waiting 10 minutes for a salesman, I am told that the vehicle I came to see was sold earlier in the day. 4 hours earlier. While I understand the vehicle was sold, I didn't receive the courtesy of a phone call to inform me that the vehicle was sold. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. While this wasn't a bait and switch gimmick, it is having no consideration for my time. Well I then stopped down the road at another dealer to see a similar vehicle. While speaking with the salesman he asks if I had seen any other similar vehicles. I told I looked at one at the Buick dealer up the street. He instantly knew exactly which vehicle I had seen as several other customers had also seen it. While I can't confirm this he informed me that the price, which seemed to low, was a scam and the Buick dealer added $1,695 in dealer prep fees on a used car. I never got that far with the Buick dealer to confirm since there was no no salesman and no no car.So buyer beware of the added fees and the lack of common decency exhibited by the internet sales group .

By far the best in the business!! I went in many years ago for a purchase and felt very welcome without any pressure to make a purchase. Ended buying an Acadia from them and was very happy with my deal on my Acadia Denali. Then re-visited them again for a 2nd purchase that ended up being a lease. Now with that lease coming to an end I went back in with all intentions of buying my lease but after the numbers were presented to me by Anthony Sherman it turned out to be a no brainier to go into a new 2016 GMC Terrain. After a review of what I actually wanted and staying close to the number I wanted to spend I left with a GREAT 2016 GMC Terrain Denali!! They performed the routine maintenance and fixed a rattle in the passenger seat much to my satisfaction. However, they told me that the factory had said that the extremely short operating range (~40 ft.) of my remote garage door opener was within specifications. That makes it extremely difficult to enter the garage without stopping on the upward grade of my driveway which I certainly do not want to do when the snows come.

Surprised at how quickly the issue was identified. Issue was resolved promptly and also had time for other routine maintenance to be performed at the same time. This saves me time and energy. I still have a few months left in a lease but I knew I wanted a GMC Terrain when it's up so decided to do some early shopping. David Guzman was the salesman who helped me out. He was awesome! There was one disappointing hiccup. We requested the car to be registered in my wife's name. The salesman, Mark Crosby, put the request in. However, the delivery person, Mike Luego, said he was not able to do it. I do not accept the explanation given as we were able to register the car in my wife's name on our previous Buick.

These guys are the best!! I've been taking my car to a different dealership for years and finally got frustrated. Switched over to gmc of mahwah and I'm not looking back. They are a pleasure to deal with, so easy going and always accommodating. I'm actually looking forward to my next service appointment!

We ultimately bought our GMC Acadia from here. I was in the market for an SUV from a different make, but was recommended by a friend to visit this dealership. We met with the saleslady Elaine who my friend described as honest, not overbearing, and easygoing. Elaine, was indeed very friendly, knowledgible, and gave me space to make my decision with my wife. There was zero pressure. The dealership had the Acadia is all trim levels and most colors with a wide price range. It was helpful to see each trim and see how the worked with our budget and needs. We got exactly the one we wanted and feel we got a good deal. Joe (i think that was his name) was helpful in showing us how to use all the gadgets and systems in the vehicle (I still cannot get over how I can remotely start the Acadia from my smartphone). I got to meet the manager Steve who I feel was also genuinely honest and helpful. It was a great experience. Elaine, Joe, and Steve made a great team that made my wife and I comfortable with our purchase. I left satisifed and without the typical sleezy feeling I usually experience at most other dealerships I have visited. I will recommend this dealer and the vehicle to friends and family.We will return when my other car needs replacing.

Everyone in dealership is very professional , knowledgable , and really nice people . I chose to buy this vehicle their because my previous vehicle was purchased their also ,and the service was wonderful . I just want to say I live closer to a different dealership, and the service and just general essence of the place is horrible , so I drive out of my way just to go to Gmc of Mahwah. The sales people are great , fast , pay attention to detail . The financial person was just wonderful explained every little detail to me about the financing and purchase. The service department people at front desk are so nice and courteous as well as the parts department. I do always recommend your dealership to people when I hear they are interested in buying a Gmc. I always say go to Mahwah gmc ,great people there.

Experience started with Lisa helping me via the internet and she was extremely helpful and fantastic!!! Elaine, my sales person and Steve the Sales Manager were fantastic as well. Khaled Maark was our sales/leasing consultant. Khaled was completely focused on the client's specifications and did all he could to ensure client satisfaction in an assertive manner without being overbearing. Kahled located a vehicle with the exact specifications that were required of the client in a precise professional fashion. Horrible experience. No help whatsoever and rude, curt staff. Another customer walked in while we were there and the sales person changed his tune for them but rude and short with us. I would've thought a sales person would be interested as we were looking to buy a $70k+ car. I'm assuming he thought we couldn't afford it.

Our service representative Donald Depew was on point. No complaints. However the service manager, George Curving was hot headed and very unprofessional. Screamed at me on phone, said to come get my vehicle and hung up on me. When I arrived at dealership, Krystle Markson, who by the way had absolutely nothing to do with this rudely butted in while I was speaking with my wife. I was handed a bill for $126.80, which I refused to pay since I was refused service. I went the sales manager, sam booth, for assistance in this matter. sam was very unreasonable, he demanded payment or he would not release the keys to my vehicle. When threatened with call to the police, my keys were given to me. I have never experienced a situation like this before. Very unprofessional. Before my wife and I deciced to go this dealership, we looked at the reviews. They were not good. My wife said stay away, and I regret not listening.

We ultimately did not purchase a car here because we went with another make. But I was so impressed with our dealings with Brett that I wanted to leave him a nice review. Brett approached us on the lot and gave us a couple test drives on 2 vehicles we were interested in. I had a good feeling about his genuine-ness and he was very pleasant (down to earth, not pushy) to work with. If we had ended up going with a GMC I definitely would have loved to buy a car from Brett at Mahwah.

A colossal waste of time! From our first visit on November 6, 2014, my husband and I advised the dealership of how we intended to finance the car and that we expected both of us to be on the title. After several trips, we chose the car we wanted on Saturday, November 15, 2014 and expected to pick it up today, Saturday, November 22, 2014. On the 15th, the salesperson told us that he could not give us final numbers that day and they would call us on Monday. I made sure he was aware that we needed the final numbers to close our 3rd party loan. Finance did not call us Monday. After I contacted the salesperson on Tuesday, Finance called me on Tuesday afternoon. I missed the call and called back within 30 minutes. Finance did not return my call Tuesday or Wednesday. Each day I let the dealership know that we would not be able to close the loan without the final purchase numbers. I spoke to the sales manager, Sam Booth, on Thursday, who was extremely unsympathetic but did get the finance guy to finally call us that day. Finally on the phone, the finance guy proceeded to quote me the wrong numbers; specifically a HIGHER purchase price and a LOWER consumer cash back incentive. We sorted this and the finance person prepared the purchase agreement and the dealership emailed it to me on Thursday afternoon. The numbers were STILL wrong; a different set of numbers but STILL a HIGHER purchase price and a LOWER cash back incentive number. We sorted this again. Thursday night and Friday, I finalized insurance, closed on the 3rd party financing, collected cashier's checks, and lined up a garage parking spot (we live in a condo and there is limited street parking). At the dealership today, the purchase number and tax number listed on the title documents were another version of wrong and still higher than agreed, of course. The finance person chose to tell us today, 16 days after we first communicated that we wanted both my husband and I on the title, that we could not put both of us on the title unless we were both on the financing. We expressly asked this question to avoid any problems. GMC Mahwah failed to tell us that it would be a problem until well past the 11th hour. We voided the deal and the finance manager refused to return the documents I signed or even a copy of the documents I signed with the word "VOID" written on it. I acknowledge that I was livid and when it was clear that the finance guy wanted to waste more time, I started writing "VOID" on the documents on the desk. He then grabbed the documents and continued to tell me he would not give me a copy of the documents. I firmly believe that if the finance person had done his job, if he had worked with me this week instead of forcing me to chase him, if the finance person had focused on being accurate (were these honest, reoccurring errors in the dealership's favor or were they trying to take advantage of us?) and if the salesperson had communicated with the finance person, we would not be in this position. With the holidays upon us, we are now back to square one without a car. Truly the worst customer service and an incompetent and unethical finance department. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Young service staff handled basic recall efficiently. Dealership has great potential. Needs additional parking and construction completion. I wish GM had sent a recall notice as opposed to me reading it in a newspaper article. If GM wants repeat customers they better improve their correspondence with customers on recalls. All the surveys mean nothing if they don't follow-up and through.

My Denali was leaking coolant so I drove it to the dealer. It stopped leaking and they could not pin point exactly where it was coming from so they kept it overnight. The next day it still was not leaking so I took it back and they did not charge me anything. I was expecting to be charged at least an hours worth of service, quite surprised it was $0.

My wife took her 2011 Terrain in for an oil change and recall. She asked that they change the right front fog light that we supplied. I had the bulb on hand from a previous vehicle. The only reason we asked them to do it is that I am currently disabled and getting down to go under the bumper isn't possible for me. I fully expected to be charged a nominal fee but did not ask what it would be, our fault. So my wife picked up the vehicle and when I reviewed the receipt I found that they charged $59.25. I feel this is completely unreasonable considering while the car was already on the lift for a $50.00 oil change, it's pretty simple to turn a bulb socket 1/4 turn and replace a bulb.

Hello my names Rich I'm usually not the type of person to write reviews about anyone especially a dealship for that matter. I'm usually the type of guy that gets nervous when I walk in to a dealership trying to find the right car. I always feel that dealerships are always out to rob me but after walking into Buick GMC of Mahwah and being greated by one of there salesman Anthony I felt more than comfortable he was always straight foward with everything he answered all my questions and he didn't know it off the top of his head he went out of his way to find out for me. So we walked around he showed me a few cars and trucks my eye was really on the new Denali but was very nervous because my credit wasn't the greatest Anthony eased me telling me don't worry well look at every angle and he insured me he will get me in the car of my dreams. So we sat down at his desk he brought over coffee for me am him and we talked. I must say what I thought I would never say about a cars salesman he was the most honest and sincere I have ever met and I must tell you I'm not the easiest person to deal with. Anthony didn't feel pressured at all he worked some magic cause he told me your approved for the Denali you wanted I was so happy. I couldn't believe he got me into my dream car with the credit I had so I thanked him up an down for his patience with me through this rigerous process. So to conclude my experience I felt I had to share with everyone my story and to tell everyone that Buick GMC of mahwah is the only dealership I will now be going to I went to 5 others in the Bergen County area and none of them compare. So if your thinking of getting a new car walk into Buick GMC of Mahwah and you won't be disappointed I promise.P.S. Dont forget to ask for Anthony Sherman you won't be dissapointed.

Negotiated a deal for a lease based upon my specifications in writing. Left $500 refundable deposit. When car was delivered I informed them that this was not the car I ordered. Salesperson came back and said that this was the only car I was getting for the price that was negotiated. Baited with a good lease deal and then tried to switch in a lesser car. We walked from deal and asked for our refund. Told I would receive my deposit back within 48 hours, still have not received after 10 days and General Manager Anthony keeps hanging up on me when I call.

I like the fact that this dealership is all about personal attention and honesty unlike some of the more fancier dealerships in in the area where you are just another number.My most recent purchase was May 2012, my salesman, Anthony Sherman, was very patient and informative. He spent two hours with us going over every concern and detail we had. He worked with us to come to a price that worked for us and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. He even went out of his way to locate the vehicle we needed even thought they did not have it in inventory.The sales manager, Anthony Ciarlo, was a doll! He remembered me and my family from past purchases and recounted a funny family story about my dog that we had told him over a year ago. He was very open and honest about everything. He made our experience feel very personal and important to him. Nicole helped us with the financing part of the process and was able to lock in a great rate for our budget. She reviewed all of the papwerwork with us and did not let us leave until we were comfortable. It was a seamless process. George is the service manager who we see from time to time when we have to bring in our other vehilces for service. He is very accomodating and his team is knowledgable and friendly. We love the fact that we can trust a dealership that is so close to home. We have recommended this dealership to all of our friends and family.

I found a 2011 Terrain w/ 3000 miles at Mahwah GMC/Buick. Met with internet sales manager-Lou. Great guy. He was patient with me and answered all my questions. Even when I didn't leave a deposit, he held my Terrain for 5 days. Definetly the place to go to buy a GMC.

I went with my parents who were buying a new GMC Terrain. Lou, the man who helped us out, found us the right car for the right price and made everything hassle free and a great experience. He was helpful and not a typical car salesman (he didn't harassingly call us or sell us out on a million useless options we didn't need). Love the new car and glad that we went there; so much better than the Ford/Lincoln dealership we went to in Paramus. My father has already said that he will consider buying a Buick there because he loved the service and ease this dealership provided us already! I'm super happy and sure that anyone who goes to this dealership and talks with Lou will be ecstatic!-Robert.

It was a great shopping experience with this dealer.It was a very friendly atmosphere and they were very professional.They still respond to my concerns via email after I purchased my vehicle.I had other experience with other dealership where they don't even return phone calls once you leave there dealership.They don't know you anymore after the transaction.Overall I had a great experience with buick-gmc of mahwah. I would most cetainly send potential future customers there.

The dealership lied about the rebate program they offer. When I was sitting to sign the contract they slipped in the rebate information and had it so that I would sign it over to them .I called the salesman a lier and they took me to the sales manager who just said he was a new sales person I was dealing with did know. They had someone call me prior to issuing a survey from GMC corporate to see if I would rate them a 5 which I sad I would yet I never got a GMC corporate survey.
