Great Sales experience, awful business experience. Expect to be lied to in the business office. If you meet with Tyler Sparks request someone else. CarMax will sell you a car that fails an inspection, offer you a refund on the fixes and then refuse to pay, saying they "don't do that."

I purchased a used Volvo and service contract in 2012. I haven't any problems out of the ordinary with my 2009 Volvo but I keep it serviced at CarMax regularly. I'm very particular about my car and I feel the people at CarMax are honest and give great customer service. I've taken my car their for three years and have never had a bad experience. My first service adviser was Kyle and the last one I had was Russ both have given me excellent customer service. I would advise anyone including my mother to purchase a car at CarMax and the service contract.

They sat on car title for over 2 months after selling/trading the car to another local dealer who sold it to the auto auction who sold it to a Nebraska dealer who sold it to me. None of these people bothered to process the title! They all should have their dealer licenses revoked for such business practices. Anyone who deals with them should be prepared for disappointment and frustration.

Have always despised the car-buying process, because the negotiating and dealing just felt dishonest and unpleasant. The Carmax model gets rid of all that. I found what I wanted and was able to make my own judgment about whether I wanted to pay their price. Straightforward and honest!

This mustang that is listed was sold to Carmax with what Carmax stated as "Horrible water leaking conditions with thousands of dollars for repair." And due to this scare tactic, I sold my mustang to them for $5500. And suddenly it is on here listed for sale for $11,998. I find it funny. I do have to thank them though because I got a branch new Infiniti G37 after that. LOL

Carmax made the purchasing experience of a car a very pleasant experience. I have bought many and never has the ordeal gone so smooth and flawless as it was with Carmax. My salesman was helpful and not pushy at all. It was 100% enjoyable.
