I dealt with Mike Cronin when buying a 2012 VW GTI. The experience was great, while they did not dicker much on the price (which I felt was fairly priced) they offered me a great price for my trade-in. Mike was very helpful and quick to follow up with any questions and we closed the deal and picked up the car within a matter of days.Upon getting the car home a found a small bubble in the sidewall of one of the tires. With no questions asked Carriage Traders Service Department took at look at the tire, ordered a brand new tire and had installed for us within a day at no cost. That kind of commitment to customer service is what will make me consider carriage traders for my next car purchase.We've owned the car for almost a year now and still love it!

Not only were Jeff and RJ friendly and helpful, they delivered, as promised. I was doubting my credit potential, knowing in the past, I had had a bad credit history. I was given 3 "worst scenarios" which in themselves were not terrible. It turned out that I was approved that very same day and to my delight, far, far, better than any of the three scenarios. There was no additional down payment needed beyond my trade-in, the monthly payment was considerably lower and included in the package was an extended 2-year warranty with roadside assistance thrown in. R.J was polite, patient, and very helpful in my search for the perfect car. The prices are reasonable and they work with you finacially.. I found this dealership and looked through the cars for sale. Every one of them is over priced! I used many sources of information on the cars and trucks I was looking at KBB,values Car Gurus, The black book,Cars.co, Autotrader, and Edmunds.com. So I did my homework got the whole Carfax vehicle history report plus I got another complete vehicle history report from, Autocheck.com. They were over priced on every single thing they sell. I try to negotiate a price. Wow I talked them down to a whole $200 and that is 2 hundred off there price. Then some other guy comes over I believe he was the Sales Manager he told me if they went any lower they would lose on the car. I laughed at him and said you got this car at a auction. How do you know that? I did my homework you could not fool me. Well $200 off is best we can do. No used car dealer buys a car to make $200 or $300 on each car! It does not go that way. I called back 5 times or more and talked to Dealership Contacts they were So rude to me then I was would be transferred to Sales Manager. Guess what it he never answers the phone it would ring 10 times and goes to a voicemail, I would leave a message to have him return my calls messages I left 4 message on his voicemail and I never got one callback from him! I gave him plenty of time to return my calls and never got a callback from anyone at the dealership. I am looking to spend 10k on a car and they treat me horribly. So I moved on from them. A warning to people going there with not so good credit don't let them charge you sticker price. They get high risk buyers who have bad credit and they put them into a very over paid car or truck. Then the lose there cars. How can the sleep at night taking advantage of people with rocky credit to sell them way over priced cars, trucks. motorcycles, mini vans and SUV's. So took my money else where were they got me into a better car, with way less miles on it and a much berrer

I bought a used 2009 Chevy Colorado from Carriage Traders and it was one of the best auto buying experiences I have ever had and I have been buying cars and trucks for the past 50 years. I have never dealt with a better dealership! Emily, the sales person is delightful. She was able to discuss the vehicle that I was looking for with a through knowledge and understanding of my needs. The dealership manager, Jim, was also very helpful and understanding. Jeff handled the financial end and he was terrific. My entire experience was just great and without any of the typical car dealer pressures that is usually prevalent in the car sales business. They even took care of registering it and delivering it to my house which is about 100 miles away. I would highly recommend Carriage Traders to anyone looking for a good deal and great treatment.

I went in to look at a car on a Friday and had all of the paper work filled out and ready to go by the next day. Unfortunately one of the people i need to finalize everything wasn't there on Saturday so i had to wait until Tuesday to pick up my car. (because Monday was a holiday) all in all great experience. I love my car and it rides very nicely!

I went to carriage traders originally for a guaranteed credit situation. But after dealing with Mike Cronin and the guys and Carriage, they were able to finance me at a much more reasonable rate. He got me into a beautiful black Jeep Commander for a great price. Every step was thoroughly explained during the buying process. He kept in daily communication with me about what was going on. I'm very happy with my experience and hope to buy all my cars from him in the future.

I had purchased my first used vehicle from a Carriage Traders sales consultant two years ago. I decided to trade in that vehicle for something a bit bigger, with a hatch back feature. RJ Richards worked diligently, without pressure, to find the right vehicle for me. In addition, David Miles was true to his word and kept my payments within the range I requested. Thank you!Within a few weeks of the purchase (before my first car payment) an engine light came on. They told me everything was set with my car. I took it home.. Called harassing me every other day that I needed something new or they were coming to get the car . I finally dropped the car off to them after 3 weeks and find out they had me financed or nothing.. And now they refuse to give me my down payment back.. And when I try to talk to em theyr very rude

We made an appointment and we were told the car would be ready to go. We were made to wait while the salesman closed another sale. The car was not washed and had an employee's clothes in the back seat. The milage on the car was over 3,000 miles more than the online listing. We did end up purchasing the car, however the dealership was very difficult to work with once we signed the paperwork. It took well over 36 hours for our bank to get the required paper work from them to process the loan. Even something as simple as sending the title required multiple attempts on the dealerships part. Its as though they had never done this before. They also called us and told us that they had calculated the tax wrong, and we owed additional money after the final agreement was signed. Even though this was an accounting error on their part, they made us pay the extra $200; they were unwilling to work with us, given the poor customer service we had received. Overall this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend them to anyone.

This was the easiest used car buying experience I've ever had. Found a truck on the online site that I liked, went to the lot to see if it was there. Within 3 minutes of getting out of my car, Charlie was there to help. The truck I liked unfortunately was thought to be sold at that time, but Charlie was very helpful in pointing out the trucks that they had that were in my price range and body style that I liked. I test drove them that day but was not as happy with them because I had my heart set on the truck I saw online. Charlie said that there are new vehicles coming soon and he would do his best to find one like the one I wanted. The very next day he called me so say that the truck I wanted was in fact available once more. I drove to the lot, test drove the 2009 Dodge 1500 which had nice low mileage and was in very good condition, and of course wanted to buy.Charlie and the finance team were able to not only give me a fair price on the truck but get me a loan at a great finance rate. I was driving my truck home the very next day. Thank you so much to the team at Carriage Traders for knowing their business and making my experience easy fun and fast!!!!!

My wife drives nothing but Chevy Astros believe it not and after driving one for ten years she wanted a newer one. Searched for months and checked out many but finally came up with a 2005 gem from Carriage Traders. Excellent vehicle, low milage and they delivered close to 300 miles away. excellent customer service. i appreciated that they actually know how to follow up with a letter and phone call unlike most dealers. i found out about carriage traders from a cargurus listing online. i would gladly do the 2 hour drive to purchase my next vehicle from them. i have dealt with bad dealers in my area so i wont mind the drive at all to avoid them. i will certainly recommend them to family and friends. thanks again.

Well, I bought my first car at carriage traders in 2010, and since then i moved two hours away. I realized that my beautiful Aveo was getting old, and probably needed more care than i can give her, so i decided i needed a new car and was desperately searching for a blue Chevy Cruz, which i became obsessed with over a year's time. I had almost given up when i decided to just take a look at Carriage Traders website at two o clock in the morning. Lo and BEHOLD!!! There she was, shiny and new, perfect in her baby blue hue. I was ready to say goodbye to my beloved aveo which i had affectionately named Avacar, and welcome Sophia VerCARa to my family. I reached out to Carriage Traders, and soon Dave called me and got me approved to take her home. He has been fantastic during this whole process. He was attentive, changed things at a moments notice, and even got the car ready for me days before we were scheduled to make the deal due to my hectic work schedule. Dave made it possible to do everything over the phone, and i felt that i trusted him enough to commit to this car without actually seeing it yet. SOOOO, i drove myself up to Dave and the beautiful Sophia and within an hour of arriving, Dave sent me on my way. Since then, i've received countless phone calls from Dave, not because i'm endearing, but because my happiness in my purchase matters. i've recommended Dave at Carriage Traders to at least five people, and i'm happy to say one co-worker had a pleasant experience, and bought his new car there, despite the 2 hour drive. ( where's my check, Dave..hehe). Did i mention if you recommend a friend to carriage traders and they buy a car you get an incentive ? BAM! Well, needless to say, i wont ever go anywhere else to buy a car. I don't care if i'm five minutes away or 5 states away. I can't imagine trusting someone else with such an important purchase. Steve Sax is a great car salesman and a really nice guy. This is the second car i bought from carriage traders. The reason why i went back was because its the only dealership that I've shopped at where they don't play all the car buying games. i didn't have to spend hours there and they where very straight forward about price and financing. I've tried to buy cars at other dealers where they keep going back and forth with the manager and give ridiculous prices that aren't even close to what i wanted. i will buy another car there in the future.

this was not my first experience with them and not my last, but the next experience I had makes me realize they are crooks and nothing can change that so there will be no more experiences for me with them. I bought a very over-priced vehicle and the fact is I could have bought it new for the price I paid, however I did not learn that right away. I was not desparate to buy this car and did NOT really want it. It was put through a bank at a very high rate of interest for far longer than I realized. I guess car dealers can manipulate to make any sale they want. I know its our fault for not asking more questions you can not really be victimized by a car dealer w/o your consent but where are these peoples consciences. I know they will have to answer to GOD one day. We went by their illustrious establishment again, and my husband decided we should express our feelings about the toyota we bought and they said they were sorry, and that we had not been victimized by them but by a group they had that came up from down south with a large inventory of cars and they also had a bad experience with these people so it wasn't their fault.....ummm yeah. I will shorten my story by saying we ended up with a crap old vehicle....60 payments with high interest and a rotten taste of rip-off pie in our mouths. I hope this is a warning, do your homework before you visit them and NEVER buy your first visit, research first check everything out. We have excellent credit and could have gotten a 400% better loan on our own elsewhere do not go if you are tired or have to go to work the same day you will be talked into something you will regret.

I have purchased here, foolishly, several times, the cars are way over-priced with flaws carefully hidden. If you have good credit you do not need to come here, you will get a much better loan [deal] elsewhere for what you pay here you can buy new elsewhere for less. I felt intimidated writing this review although its all too true it looks like no one wants to tell the truth or perhaps all the people that buy here just have bad credit and are desperate for whatever they can get. I will NEVER return to this gyp joint. I regret ever stopping at this place. I warn anyone who does stop here do not buy the first visit, research what they are offering, you and come back armed with the info. If you have decent credit go elsewhere the banks they use will scalp you. I find them friendly and ingraciating, after all they want to make a sale. I have warned you as I wish someone had warned me.

I recently bought a used Nissan Rogue from Carriage Traders. It was my first time buying a car in 7 years and my first experience with this dealership. Andy really made it a great experience for me. He was personable, not pushy and helped facilitate the entire process for me. Andy was always eager to answer my questions and really put me at ease as someone who wasn't used to buying from a dealership. I was in the market for a truck and my friend told me to come down and see Steve Ball at Carriage traders. We took a look at what he had available on his lot. I didn't really fall in love with anything he had right then and there. We went inside and he showed me his inventory at the other dealership they had in KIngston. I saw an awesome GMC sierra on their lot. Within a week he brought the GMC to his store. I drove it and absolutely loved it. Kris in finance was able to get my monthly payment where it had to be....with very little down. AND NOW I OWN IT !!!!! Thanks Steve and Kris. I'll tell everyone i know to come see you guys!

MY WIFE AND I WERE ON OUR WAY BACK TO VERMONT AFTER SPENDING A WEEK IN LAKE GEORGE. WE DROVE BY CARRIAGE TRADERS AND SAW A CHEVY SILVERADO WITH A PLOW PACKAGE. WE STOPPED IN TO TAKE A LOOK. I went in to see Steve Ball, on a referral, about getting a new vehicle. He helped me find the perfect vehicle for my needs and my budget. Two days later I was driving away in the nicest Toyota Rav4. He even sent a $100.00 check to the person who referred me to him. Hands down the best experience I have ever had buying a car. I CAME IN ON A RECOMMENDATION. THERE WAS A JEEP ON THE LOT THAT WAS THE HOTTEST JEEP IVE EVER SEEN. I MET WITH STEVE BALL AND HE WENT OVER EVERY OPTION. My husband and I came in to trade our van in on a newer vehicle. Our salesman, Steven Ball, met us on the lot. He investigated our needs and wants in regards to what we were looking for. He showed us vehicles that met our criteria. We fell in love with the Dodge Nitro. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He and the Business manager, Kris Erceg, along with the Sales Manager, Steve Sax, worked with us every step of the way. We were able to pick the vehicle up the next morning. It has not even been my second payment on the vehicle and I need around $1000.00 in exaust work. I have a transmission oil leak. Let you know that I had 4 places the motor oil had been leaking out of the only way I would had know this is because I brought the vehicle to Saratoga Nissan and they are very honest people I wish I had bought my vehicle there. When you get out of the car and its running it automatically locks u out now thats a bonus. Never ever buy a vehicle from the guys! Oh yea and to top it all off the salesman I bought the vehicle from quite the next day

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE HACKS, THEY POLISH UP CRUMBY RUST BUCKETS IN THERE AUTO BODY SHOP AND THEN PUT THEM UP FOR SALE I OWNED A TRUCK FOR LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AND THE PAINT BUBBLED THROUGH WHERE THEY DID BONDO WORK, HAD I KNOWN IT HAD SO MUCH BODY RUST THAT HAD JUST BEEN COVERED UP I WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE THE PURCHASE, WITHIN A YEAR OF OWNING, POWER STEERING LINES WENT, BRAKE LINES WENT, SCAM DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CON ARTISTS!

my daughter tried buying a car first the saleman only wanted to talk to her husband(a man) It has taken over 1wk and 1/2 and they have come up with every excuse. garanteeed credit? she was told thats for people without credit. what does that mean? than she gets asked to put down adeposit!! no one gave her any numbers so she didnt. than she gets told she has to make a 2500 deposit. but when she said ok they came up with she was late with a car payment so the bank wont give her credit. what happened with the guaranteeed credit. than she had to get the payoff from her car and fax them the kelly blue book page.

Went first on a saturday to apply for loan got approved but only for one car?? Car was owned by older woman who was a non smoker. Looked at car in dim garage looked okay. Came back 2 days later to test drive in am opened door and smell knocked me off my feet. Carpets which were supposed to be gray were brown with filth(this was even after detailing) and all seats in car had big burn holes. Tires were close to bald and other misc. plastic was broke. Byrny told us on saturday interior was mint. Then after the smelliest test drive ever I told Byrny that the price for Kelly Blue Book was less than they were giving it to us for in excellent condition and this car was fair at best. He threw his hands up and said we were done. He didnt make the price the program that we were enrolling in set the price.(so the bank that doesn't own the car tells them the price they sell their cars for,BS)Con artist. Because we didnt have perfect credit we were supposed to pay more than the car was worth and we didnt get to choose a car because the bank picked that for us to. I may not have good credit but i'm not dumb the bank doesnt make money off the car they make money off the interest The dealer sets the price the bank then pays them up front. INSULTING GO THERE AND THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything started out well at Carriage Traders. Our salesman, Kyle, was helpful and Chris the sales manager was great. However, the business manager was a jerk. He made us feel like we were a huge inconvenience on his day and would not look us in the eye when talking to us. Our deal did not end up going through because the business m...anager said there was absolutely no way we could get financed for the car with another car loan already established. We called Carriage Traders later to ask them if we came in with the cash for the car what the price would be. The price went up significantly and the salesman informed us that they "move on pretty quickly." I am glad we did not get financed because we went to Nemer Dodge the next day and had NO PROBLEM getting financed for a great car! Almost a week later, Carriage Traders called to ask how our experience was. When told the experience was horrible and we would never return, the caller asked why? Partway through the explanation of why it was horrible, he hung up. We are sorry we wasted FIVE HOURS at Carriage Traders when we should have just gone somewhere else to begin with! Word of advice--don't go to Carriage Traders!!

I recently purchased a 2006 Dodge Durango which I so desperately needed because of the amount of kids I have. As soon as I walked into the dealership I was greeted with kindness from the Sales Manager Kris and he directed me to a salesman who was seated next to him. I knew what I was looking for and the salesman did not try to get me into a different vehicle or a more expensive one. I have bought many vehicles in the past and have never been treated so kindly as I was with Kris and Shawn. I would definately buy another vehicle from them and would recommend them to anyone.

Very friendly lady! She helped me as soon as I walked in the door. She directed me to a great salesman who I liked (as far as salesman go). Ended up with a great chevy colorado... no problems :) They didn't treat me like I was an idiot, gave me great service. Found me a truck really fast.

My girlfriend and I went threw the parking lot looking at cars a few months back. We went to look at smalls cars and left a deposit on a Saturn she fell in love with and were set to pick it up the following week. The afternoon before she got a call from the salesman who told her that the bank would not approve us for the loan on that car but he had a Chevy trailblazer that was more money but had a bigger book value and we would be able to pick it up that afternoon. Yes were adults and could have shopped around more or just said no so I cannot complain too much about the sales department except for the fact that the following weekend they had the same truck a year newer with 6k less miles on it for $900.00 less advertised in the local paper. After 3 weeks the check engine light came on and wouldn't go off. Enter Armand. This had to be the nastiest individual walking the planet. On a Wednesday he promised us the truck back the same day. Then we were told Thursday, Friday and then Monday. If they couldn't figure it out he said he would send it to Chevy on Tuesday. Once a day at 4pm when I got out of work I'd call to check. I was repeatedly barked at with "I told you if their was any news I'll call you" The truck was picked up 2weeks to the day with the light on and was told to drive it 100 miles and it should reset itself. No such luck so again it was returned and we received the same bad attitude and snippy response that it's not his problem it's Chevy's. He said he would send it back the next morning and call. The truck laid there for 7straight days until it finally left and came back 4days after that fixed. Promised a loaner car from Mr.Erceg in sales but never got one threw out the whole process no matte how much we tried. Vehicles new or used break down but whats the value f a shop that cant get a check engine light off in that length of time? Even if they are incompetent or unqualified they can still be somewhat pleasant and sympathetic. I am not even getting into the fact that my mechanic said the tires on the truck should have never passed inspection and was told by Armand he would keep his eye out for a good set of used tires. I guess i the mean time it's our problem.
