The whole Champion staff was incredible from beginning to end. They are family owned and this really shows in their quality of employee and level of service. My Service Professional, Vince, was absolutely amazing with a perfect zero pressure attitude, and is the reason I've decided that they've earned my business from now on. Champion is very fortunate to have someone of his caliber working for them. While I got to meet the heads of all the departments recently when buying a new truck, I didn't get to meet every other team mate there, however I have absolute faith that I and my new vehicle will always get the highest level of care. I highly recommend every in the market for service or a vehicle to come to Champion. They'll not regret it. Definitely left highly satisfied.

Hands-down the best buying car experience I’ve ever had. Vince was my sales person he was absolutely amazing, down to earth! He really cared about my happiness more than me just buying a vehicle. The sales manager and Vince really worked hard to get me into the vehicle I wanted and to stay within my budget. I can’t say enough great things about this dealership and I would recommend it to anyone. They even stayed later than their shift to make sure I got the vehicle the same day and I was completely happy with it. This is a great place with great prices. I was in a bit of a bind and needed a newer work van. The sales man Kyle Law was very helpful. He was honest and true to his word he worked hard to get me a use work van. I am very happy with the hole process and walk away with a newer van at a very reasonable price. Steve Beach and his trainee, Ashley, were very helpful and knowledgeable about the Buick vehicle I was interested in. It was too long of a process. It needs to be streamlined, one less person in the paper process. The monthly payment and lender selections should be revealed upfront, earlier in order to give the buyer all the facts efficiently. Distrust builds in the purchaser, as this key information is withheld, until very late in the process.

I visited Champion on 11/21/16 for a routine maintenance visit. I own a 2016 GMC Terrain and it was approaching 22,500 miles. Kevin was my advisor and he offered prompt and professional service from the beginning to the end. He was very knowledgeable and made the process hassle-free from the initial scheduling to checking out. I couldn't believe how efficient the services department was. I am use to waiting hours for my car to be ready at other places. The complementary car wash at the end was a bonus! I will certainly be coming back to Champion in the near future. It is definitely worth the commute all the way from Ann Arbor.

I recently visited Champion GMC to have a vehicle recall addressed on my 2014 Silverado. The airbag control module need to be reprogrammed. . The service advisor was courteous, prompt and thorough. The reprogramming was completed in a timely fashion. Will use Champion's Service Department in the future.

Kevin promptly approached me as I entered the service area. His write up was right on target and Floyd came out to discuss the problem with him to see what parts may be needed. Both provided excellent service and were efficient on getting the door lock fixed. I was in and out quickly. Was impressed to see a 27 point inspection was done as well with no issues found.

A replaceable plastic grommet broke in the shift linkage. It is accessable under the hood and easily replaced with the cheap plastic insert. Instead, this dealership removed the dash, sterring wheel, and took out the whole linkage assembley and replaced it all, costing me hundreds of dollars extra for unnecessary time, work and parts. They also charged a $28 dollar "enviornmental fee" the service manager said was for rags and disposal. They also returned the car in filthy condition. Give me a break!

When looking for a vehicle to replace my current lease, I came to Champion to check out my options. I have never had a GMC before, and did not know much about them. When I was ready, my salesperson, Mike Smalley, and I spoke once over the phone. I was looking for a low mileage, used vehicle. He called me the next day, I came in after work, with my old car as a trade and purchased the exact vehicle I was looking for, with financing and walked out the door in less than 2 1/2 hours. I took my LaCrosse and G6 in to handle some warranties, as well as get 27 point inspections, oil changes and tire rotations. The work was done pretty quickly, but when I realized the inspection wasn't done on my G6, my service rep, Brandon was extremely apologetic and to ensure we didn't have to wait any longer for service we should've already had, he allowed us to take a nice rental car home so that they could complete the inspection. He was extremely helpful with any questions I had and went above and beyond in every area. I have been working with this dealership since 2006 and I've always had a fantastic experience with them. I highly recommend them and especially Brandon.

I am writing this review to let everyone know that the Body Shop at the Champion dealership in Brighton produces excellent work. I am very particular with my vehicle and wanted it to be perfect. Dennis Marshall the Body Shop Manager was extremely helpful and was very professional walking me through the process. He went above and beyond to ensure that my 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland was "showroom quality" and worked with my insurance company to make sure it was going to be. The paint technician is a true craftsman, the work he produced was flawless and I could tell that he must take great pride in his trade. I would highly recommend them for body work on any make of vehicle.

I needed to help my 83 years young mom learn all the ins and outs of leasing a car (my first time, too) and was not looking forward to it. But, as luck goes, we walked into the dealership late one afternoon just to "see how it goes" and Mike was our first contact. By lunch the next day my mom was no longer driving the worrisome minivan, but had a new Encore, a very fair trade-in price, her auto insurance completely transferred to the new car, a detailed lesson in how to operate the car, and repeated urging to stop in any time with any question. In fact, while we were completing paperwork, an older guy popped in and Mike immediately excused himself, learned why his customer had stopped in, then went to the man's car to SHOW him what the guy was trying to remember or figure out on his new car. It took a couple of minutes and off went a happy guy. That, I thought, was a very good sign. I cannot imagine how the experience could have gone better outside of driving away with a free car! Nick was very good at explaining, but not over-explaining, the leasing specifics, too. Overall-very impresses with the whole sha-bang!

For me personally, this was absolutely the worst dealership that I have ever dealt with. I have purchased many cars in my life and this was by far the worst experience. Having some credit issues, yet they said they will work with me. Dealt with a guy named, Glenn Heimbach. He was AWFUL at returning phone calls, emails, and texts. I brought a friend with me to get her a vehicle too and she received the exact same service. It was so frustrating playing phone tag with him. He even told us that he wasn't going to make much money off us, which made us feel anything but important. When we did speak, he was long winded and drug everything along. After playing games with him for 3 weeks, I gave up and went to a different dealership. My friend, stayed and got her vehicle. This was a pet peeve of mine but as a salesman, you should look nice. He had yellow carpenter boots on, black pants, and shirt half tucked in. He also reeked of cigarettes. I will NEVER EVER recommend going here or would ever think once to go back.

In January I did an internet query with the dealership for a new GMC Sierra Denali. Got a call back instantly from Ashely Elliot. Meet her that day for a test drive and just to talk to someone about my needs. I was expecting a hard sales pitch, especially since it was a very cold snowy day and I was the only customer in the showroom. What I got was Ashley who knew I was still in the debating phase about which vehicle to purchase. I also told her I would not be buying any vehicle until March. Well in March I came back and they had the Black Denali I wanted. Mike who did not make any commission on the sale was also there to chat with me when Ashley was out getting the truck and talking with the sales manager. Nick the finance manager was also very nice.Two weeks after I purchased my truck I noticed a rattling sound and brought it into the service department. Glenn took a ride with me right there and then so we could figure out if there was anything wrong before scheduling an appointment. He diagnosed my garage door opener on the visor was vibrating against the vanity mirror.

Where do I begin describing my miserable experience with this incompetent service department? In case you don't choose to read much further, I would not recommend you ever deal with this place for anything. And here is why:I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD Pickup - Duramax DieselAbout a year ago, while parked but running, my truck threw 3 consecutive errors on the Driver Information Display, so obviously one part (sensor) went bad that was tied to all three warnings:1) Service Traction Control 2) Service Trailer Brake 3) Service Stabilitrak- I was told there was a $95 Diagnosis Fee which I agreed to pay- I dropped my truck off at 12:00pm and was told it would take an hour or so to diagnose- They came back and said the wheel speed sensor was bad and it would be about $300 to fix it, I said OK, and they said they had to order the part and wouldnt have it until 3:00pm, so I rented a car from them to go to work.- I called them at 5:30 for an update and they told me that the sensor they replaced didnt fix the problem, and that now the problem was the Electronic Brake Control Module (GM Part# 20980215 - $200.58)RED FLAG HERE!I paid the $95.00 for a diagnosis that was wrong, or at best, clearly incomplete. These guys are parts changers and not mechanics. Their plan is to just keep swapping out parts until the problem is fixed. What happened to properly diagnosing the problem? What about competent troubleshooting? I am sure if I had continued on the bill would have been close to $1,000.00. Their approach to repair is borderline unethical. They took 5+ hrs. to replace a simple wheel speed sensor, a 30 minute job tops. I am sure that they were waiting to call me until closing time so they could convince me to continue on with their overpriced repair by elimination method.After leaving with my truck, and yes, they charged me $313.21 for doing nothing to my truck because ALL the exact same error messages were still being displayed in the Driver Information Display. The truck had zero improvement but I was forced to pay them $313.21, regardless of their lack of competence.Here is the real kicker 10 miles down the road on my way home the bright red BRAKE WARNING light came on. This indicator was never on before. So, I basically paid Champion Buick GMC (Brighton, MI) $313.21 to further break my truck. So nice.I will never go back to this dealership for anything, and you should consider your options as well. Incompetent and untrustworthy. Shady sales and terrible customer service. Beware if you purchase anything from these people make sure you read every document there is. They tell you one thing and do another. Very frustrated in my self letting this people take advantage of me. It was my bad for trusting sales people. There not your friends or care anything about you. They are strictly out for the capital dollar on the back of trusting people. Just be very aware of their games and antics of talking to multiple people

Our dealer associate was extremely pushy and would not take "no" for an answer. We repeatedly told him that we were not ready to make a decision on the car and he kept bringing up ways to ensure that we buy the car without leaving. After visiting 10 other dealers in the area, this was extremely frustrating because almost every other dealership was very hands off. You either like the car, or you don't. Everybody has their own set of criteria for buying and liking a car. We were deciding between a GMC and a Jeep and the dealer made a point to keep bringing up how the GMC was superior and how we shouldn't even be considering the Jeep. Are you kidding me? Other makes are of really good quality too so they shouldn't be shocked that theirs isn't always the best. We tried for over a half our to leave the dealership and give them a decision at a later time, but they kept coming up with questions or statements to keep us there. We should have just got up and left and went to a different dealer. I'll have a really difficult time recommending Champion GMC to anyone else.

Be aware these guys are some what of scamers in my book, I recieved a call from Ashlie bryant saying I was pre-approved for $30000 after e-mailing back and forth asking about my concerns like driving 45mins to be turned down and asking if they where going to do a credit check, when I was open about my rocky credit rating. She says I can asure you that you won't have that happen and we are a income based dealer, you have a pre-approval with one of our 30 lenders, So I drive the 45mins to the dealer which is under construction, and all the sales team are int a double wide trailer, a sales person came up and asked if i need help I asked for Ashlie Bryant which was basiclly a middle man she took my paper work made some copies handed it to the sales person she want pack to stuffing her envelopes the sales person Glenn Heimbach came up and took me to his desk, I was strait forward told him what i wanted and where I needed to be on a payment and percentage rate, So he had me sign some papers and then it came to the credit app and I asked why are you checking my credit when I've been pre-approved for 30000? He couldn't anwser the question with a strait answer, thats when I should have walked out, but I was really hoping to have something work out, he went and looked at my trade in and then went into Robert Hills office, I sat there watching a porter carring a gas can around the trailer, I was like we'll thats professional. So my sales person disappeared and I never seen him again, a Robert Hill came out sat down at my sales person desked asked me some question which he need some paper work I didn't bring with me, he left to get his card came back as he gave me the feeling like he was looking down at me like I was a no-body. I went to leave and my keys to my car where no where to be found at the salemans desk, so I walked in to the room where Robert Hill sat with a few other sales he looks up and can I help you? Prior to my experience with Champion Buick GMC, I had only purchased a vehicle from one other dealership and had a not-so-great experience. I made my purchase two days ago and still am shocked at how easy and comfortable they made the process. This is how a car dealership is supposed to work, with a genuine concern for the needs and well-being of the customer. This was my first experience where I felt I was considered a person, instead of a number. I have spent many years working in the customer service/sales industry and can say that Champion Buick GMC has a fantastic team of dedicated individuals with a passion for what they do. My husband and I were turning in our very first lease car, purchased from a different dealership. We had heard from co-workers and friends about Champion. Mark Loria gave us the opportunity to work with Ashley Elliott. She was genuinely friendly, very knowledgeable about the products available and very professional as well. She provided what we consider excellent customer service. Mark and Ashley understood our need for a larger vehicle, while keeping in mind our budget. We were able to lease a GMC Terrain!!. I have never had a better car buying experience as I had here. Ryan was fantastic. He didn't steer me into purchasing a car that I didn't want or couldn't afford. He was honest and gave me his opinion when I asked. He worked with me for six hours and even stayed after hours to help me clean out my old car to trade in. I bought my car from Ryan Granet and I had such a great experience. It had been a while since I'd purchased a car and I was nervous at first but Ryan was so nice and spent a lot of time with me and made sure I felt comfortable about my decision. Sales people will go above and beyond to get in the vehicle you want but its the finance person that closes the deal. I got the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted but Ryan Hylko threw in some add ons like theft insurance and new car warranty administered by third party insurance company says " the bank wants it" and "we need this " . Ryan wants it because he makes a big commission off it. After I got home I looked it up on the web, big scam it says, so I cancel policy within 30 day period in writing. Ryan refuses to acknowledge cancellation. I went to dealership with cancellation in hand and managed to hand it to him personally. Policy was not not cancelled for six months.I got call from Ryan, he claims it wasn't his fault it was somebody else's job to handle the case and they no longer worked there. Ok fine, I said. I later find out this is common , dealer puts you off for a while so you drive the vehicle more put more miles on it and then offers to cancel policy at a lesser refund. Anyway I give them 90 days to issue refund, now at this point when I call to inquire where the refund is, all I get is voicemail, where's the return phone call Ryan Hylko, the guy who was oh so helpful before now hides behind voicemail and " he's out to lunch" . Call to manager does nothing, another one who hides behind voicemail. When the dealership owes the customer, "100% customer satisfaction is no longer a priority". After you buy a car here don't bother with going back for oil changes or other service items at the service department, service writers ply you with all kinds recommended service, worthless services that make the dealer more money. Will I buy another car? most likely, but not from these guys.

Test drive Thursday, pick up Saturday morning, everything went well. You honored the price as it was on cargurus.com as well, which was great that we didn't have to haggle.

I went in due to a email that was sent saying I was pre-approved. I know how these tho ga go but thought, why not. The salesmen was very nice the whole 3.5 hours I sat there waitin to hear back about approval. I left because I could no longer wait for their system to come back online and was assured by the salesmen I'd recieve a call ASAP. The next day I had no call, I called late afternoon to find out that the system did not boot back up until early this morning and I would recieve a call when they received notice. I didn't get a call all weekend, left a message on Tuesday. No call back. Left a message Wednesday. No call back. Thursday I phoned the GM, again, no call back. I left a total of 6 messages for the GM and the salesmen. I could care less if my application came back denied, but what I do care about is that they couldn't even pick up a phone to call me back. I work in sales and that IS NOT how I treat my customers or potential future customers. I WILL NEVER refer anyone to champion buick or return again. The complete disregard for their customers baffles me.

I want to start of by saying that I Love my new truck and would not want anything else, however, were was misunderstanding that happen. During the process of completing the paperwork I informed the dealership that I wanted to have my payment pulled out of my account biweekly. However, they set up my payment to come out on the week I am not paid on and therefore my first payment caused some major issue for me. I was able to get things taken care of but I was still out of $35.00 for overdraft fees, the bank kept telling me that since I signed the paperwork I agreed to this but in fact I did not. This was something that we has not discussed and they assumed on the dates. So the next thing that I did not like was that I was told in the beginning that my truck was coming "AS IS", this was told to me as I was going over all the final paperwork and they had my money already. After the three days of having the truck the engine light came on, I took it in and they informed me that it is a shortage and it will stay on. Well for a person like me that drives a lot that is not good and so I have to take the truck in once every two months to make sure that nothing is wrong with it. It was funny because when I informed my sale person of this information he said "Oh just take it in and may not be anything major." Well I guess you can say that.Well, I guess all of this is my fault because if I would have had everything the first time I visit, I would have had a newer car and all my paperwork would have been done right. I guess you would say this is Karma

My wife and I took advantage of the March 18-23, 2013 bank-ordered sale of 400 pre-owned vehicles. We received an adverisement in the mail for the event and were specifically interested in the guaranteed trade-in of $3500 for our 2000 Explorer. Ashley Elliot and Luke Smith emailed me almost immediately after I sent in my online credit application; Luke called me and set up an appointment the same afternoon. On arrival at Champion I was cheerfully greeted by a young man standing outside (during a snow squall, unfortunately). He directed me to Luke's and Ashley's desks. Luke was busy, so Ashley took charge immediately and interviewed me about what type of vehicle I was interested in. Friendly and professionally dressed, Ashley is a knowledgeable, enthusiastic young woman who will do well in any endeavor she pursues. Her coordination with the inventory managers resulted in purchasing the first vehicle I test drove. Unfortunately, some bank computer delays occured outside of Champion's control. During my wait, the Champion staff periodically checked to see if I needed anything. We decided to continue the effort the next day. Luke called me the next day with an offer of a lower interest rate by adding my wife to the loan. We returned the next day, and the process was relatively brief. Ryan Hylko and his assistant (whose name I cannot recall) constructed a much lower rate than I was offered individually, and we completed the sale. My experience at Champion was a pleasant surprise. We purchased a 2011 Malibu with 30K miles in great shape. We got much more for our money than we expected, and this was directly due to the efforts of Ashley, Luke, Ryan, Robert, and the pre-owned staff at Champion. I recommend their business to anyone looking for a used vehicle.

I am writing on behalf of my 86 year-old mother who was charged $794 by Champion Buick-GMC after bringing her car in for a $40 oil change and $40 tire rotation. She did not authorize the additional services performed by the dealership and was not given a revised estimate, even though she waited on the premises throughout the 1.5 hours when the services were performed. When approached by my brother-in-law, a former GM service advisor, the dealership claimed that the "fine print" on the work authorization form authorized them to perform "any services necessary".Our family has bought cars from this delership for 27 years when they were Waldecker Buick but apparently under new ownership their business practices have taken a turn for the worse. We have paid the dealership's bill in full but we will never return to this dealer and we want others to know of these deceptive practices. Champion Buick GMC should be ashamed to take advantage of the elderly in this way.

Robert was very disorganized and incompetent. When I came in to purchase my lease for a Buick Verano he had paperwork on the wrong vehicle and then argued with me that that was the vehicle I had chosen. Then I walked out to the lot with him, showed him the vehicle I wanted, and still he ran paperwork on the wrong vehicle a second time. Again Robert argued with me about which vehicle I had chosen. He gave me the wrong vin number the first time and I had purchased insurance on the wrong vehicle. I was at the dealership for 3 hours and he never apologized or offered any compensation. I had to put my own gas in the car and floor mats. My parents and I knew more about the vehicle than Robert. He did not know that the Buick Verano had remote start and was not familiar with the paint colors. Robert also showed me how to complete this survey, mentioned that I should give him all 5's, and mentioned that I should give him a good score for how fast they were able to get paperwork on the second vehicle. My family has been loyal GM buyers for years and has had great experiences with Champion Chevrolet in the past. We will never use the Champion Buick dealership again. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle. It was a very stressful experience due to the salesman. Had this not been my only day off work I would have taken my business elsewhere.

Did not appreciate the $299 Theft Guard. If this is such a great program why wait until the deal is almost complete before explaining the additional cost. Seems the dealership would advertise this great program. This was not appropriate and I felt sorry for Ashley who had to try and explain the program. For me it was not the cost it was just old ttime car selling where additional cost is slipped into the deal.In the end the deal was done, but I was not happy how we got to the end.

Dealing with Tom and Champion was a very comfortable experience. I was very anxious about purchasing a vehicle as I have not bought a new car in 12 years. Tom knew how I felt and made the transaction very easy and did not pressure me into anything and was very patient and understanding with my apprehension. Salesman was very professional in finding the vehicle (options) i was looking for. He had a wealth of knowledge of the vehicle and his presentation of the vehicles options was very complete. The financial options were very comprehensive and explained very well. Overall I enjoyed the experience.I would recommend this dealership to potential customers.

As always Tom Lynn was great to work with. We have come in often to look and he was always patient and informative; never pushy. Today we came in to buy/lease and he was very efficient in getting us the numbers we needed to make our decision. There was a little wait for the finance people but everyone was very friendly. We worked with Tom when he was part of Waldecker and came to Champion because Tom was still there.

Generally buying a new car is painfull like going to the dentist. But this time it was a very pleasent experince. Ashley Elliot was my sales person. She was very knowledgable, organized, prompt and honest with me at all times.I had just come from Liberty Cheverlot earlier in the week where I had a terrible visit. Just the opposite happened. I will never go back to Liberty and they are right in my backyard. Ashley Elliot and Champion have my current and future buisness for sure. Great job Ashley! thanks again for making it not feel like I just had my teeth pulled!

Tom Lynn and the manager Mark went out of there way to make sure that I got just the vehicle that I wanted. There professionalism and kind costumer service made my experience a very enjoyable one. I had some some special requests that would be considered an inconvenience to an older or I should say old school salesman, but Tom and Mark honored these requests and went above and beyond for me. Overall I had an amazing experience with Tom and Mark, great costumer service, fun people to be around, willingness take care of special requests. They both deserve a raise!

Ashley made our car buying experience a great one. We had many requirements during the process and she handled them all with professionalism and care without making us feel as though we were making life difficult for her. It was nice to feel relaxed about spending significant money on a car and not feeling as though my wife and I were being taken advantage of. Let me just tell you, Sanford is awesome! Not only was he helpful and friendly, but Sanford found the perfect match of a car for me! I visited a lot of car dealerships while looking for a car, and when Sanford helped me he genuinely wanted to find me a car that worked for me. He didn't try to get me to buy just any old car, but he listened to what I wanted and searched for cars under the criteria that I needed and wanted. I had a great experience working with Laura. She was fun to talk to, friendly, she was witty and knew a lot about the car I was buying. She took pride in her job and wanted to make us happy at every turn. She offered me a fair price on the car and then fixed the minor things that needed to be fixed without a hassle. Most times with my expierence of buying cars from a dealership, it feels alot like going to the dentist to get a tooth pulled. Upon our arrival at Champion in Brighton, Laura cordially greeted us and asked us what she could do for us. We said that we were there to inquire about the trade-in value of our 2008 Envoy Denali. She assigned the task to the analysts and asked us what we might be interested in buying. We told her that we certainly wanted to look at something that would be at least equal to or a step-up from the Envoy. Laura showed us three possible vehicles and we chose the 2012 Acadia Denali. Laura asked us what monthly payment we would consider. We told her and she went right to work with the financial department. Shortly, we were invited to discuss the financing arrangement. The final agreement was close to our requests, our complete satisfaction and we were able to drive the Acadia home that evening.Laura was most knowledgeable about all features of each of the vehicles she showed us and made us very comfortable with the entire transaction.Whenever we return to Champion in Brighton, Laura always makes a point to greet us and offers to assist us in whatever way she can.We shall absolutely recommend Champion and especially Laura to our friends and family who are intending to purchase a vehicle.

I am moving to this area next month and wanted to buy my new car from a dealer in the area of my home. I did shopping over the internet and at this year's auto show and decided to look at the GMC Terrain. I inquired about a quote on this vehicle and was introduced to Ashley. She was very responsive and was a great communicator. I was not able to visit the dealership for a couple of weeks, but she supplied all the info that I neeeded to make a decision. When I was available to come to the dealer, Ashley arranged for a test drive in a model similar to what I was interested. Barb gave me a tour of the car and came along for the test drive. I felt very comfortable with the dealer and decided to make my purchase that night. The entire process was the easiest and most thorough of any car I have purchased and taken delivery. I have experience with several dealers and I rate my experience at Champion the best, hands down. I am a very, very happy customer!

This is the best car-buying experience I've had with GM in 20 years! Ashley was proactive about offering me several car and financing options, arranged for a test drive and handled the paperwork handoff to Don incredibly fast. Don explained all sorts of financing options and recommended what would serve me best. Both employees know their jobs very well. They are personable, organized (made the sale FAST!). I enjoyed wotking with them and will certainly recommended the dealership to others based on my experience. I love my car, by the way!!
