Great place to buy a car. Went down here with my dad who was looking for a car. Looked around, found a few different options. Steven Whitney was the guy who helped us out and he did great. Went through several cars, found the exact one we liked, test drive went smooth, paperwork was quick and easy (for being a dealership), and we left with a good fit for my dad. Place is really clean, well laid out, and easy to find what you need. I'm sure there are a lot of good guys there, but we dealt with Steven. Talk with him, he will get you what you need.

Our salesperson was Devin. He was very knowledgeable and did the best he could to get us the car we wanted at the payment we could afford. He also was able to give us 3 free oil changes and a tree... yes I said a tree.. Although, we were so excited about the car (and hungry) we ran off with out picking out the tree. 😢

This review is for service not purchasing/leasing a vehicle. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change with my VW Atlas Cross Sport. I didn't buy the vehicle here but you couldn't tell because they treated me just like a customer who had purchased from them. They use a texting system while you wait for services that allows you to sew the status of the work being done real time and approve/deny any additional work they recommend as the process is being executed. I'll only be in the area for a few months but I'll continue going here as long as I'm around.

I am very disappointed in the service I received. My Sister's husband bought her a Camero as a Birthday gift 5 years ago. Last year he past away from Covid. The Camero was one of the special gifts that my Sister had left. A month ago the car was stolen and crashed. My Sister was very depressed. We found a similar Camaro here at Chapman Volkswagen and her daughter and I were trying to purchase it for her. Well I was treated very rude by the Salesman Jesus Arnold when I was going over the numbers. He told me that I was required to pay all these extra fees for Nitro in the tires, Red Alarm System, and Low Jack. With all these extra fees this added a huge amount to the price of the car. Jesus was very rude with me when he was explaining all these things to me. He actually ended up hanging up on me. It's very unfortunate that we will not be able to help get my Sister this car. 😭😭😭

We have bought 2 VWs from Chapman and have been hit several times in our Eos. Each time the repairs have been done at Chapman collision. We've had one problem after another with repairs not done completely or correctly. There isn't enough room here nor do I have the patience to go into it, but suffice it to say, the last time was a several days long battle and finally the defective part, that Chapman installed, was replaced. Lo and behold when the repair was done they discovered a cracked part which they also had installed. So much for lifetime repair guarantee!!! We will not be back there, not to buy another car nor to repair the one we have.

I recently purchase vehicle from chapman and initially was very pleased with the service. When it was time to submit the paperwork for my license plate and registration problems started to arise. I submitted the a tax exempt from since I am in the military. First the salesperson sat on the form for a month until I called inquiring where my plates were. Once the salesman gave it to the title/finance people I thought it would only be a matter of time until my plate arrived. The temporary expired and I called again. The finance department confirmed they received the form but lost it and asked me to get them another one. Sure, I can just take more time off work to get another form approved and stamped and then mail it in or drive the 100 miles to hand it to them in person. You would think after spending 15k you could get a little service or at least have them admit the mistake and pay the 75 dollars themselves. 4 months and still no plate.

I did not wind up purchasing a vehicle (from anyone yet) but after our experience at Chapman VW with Mr. Simon I would recommend him to anyone who is looking. Though knowing we would not be able to purchase a vehicle that day, he was still courteous and happy to show us any vehicle we asked to see on the lot. He let us know that he would stay for as long as we required his assistance (it was the end of the evening when we arrived) and even took us to the Chapman lot next door to look at the vehicles there. I will definitely consider giving Mr. Simon and Chapman VW my business when we are ready to purchase.

I had to select "Service" since this has nothing to do with a purchase.I was happy with the purchase and service of my Tiguan. Service folks were as good as could be expected...maybe better.My problem started after I traded in my Tiguan and requested a refund on my extended service contract. Finance folks were nice when I submitted the request. Three months later, and still waiting for the refund, they won't return my calls. Got lucky once and someone actually answered their phone. Lady said she would check "with the people in the back office" and call me "right back." Five days and waiting... Her "right back" doesn't match my definition of those words.

The Chapman Service Team has gone above and beyond in diagnosing our Jetta. This car was bought out of state with a bent rim. The Service Manager took care of the problem, contacted customer support in our behalf, and treated us like his own family. I will buy my next car from Chapman.

We purchased a "new to us" car from Chapman in June of 2015. Several issues -- 1) The dealership wasn't to eager to sell it didn't seem, we had to ask to see a salesperson initially (Jim Click was much more welcoming and friendly). 2) After we started negotiations they were not truly helpful, the price barely came down at all and had it not been within blue book, and the car we were wanting we probably would have gone elsewhere. 3) Being military we live out of state but are AZ residents, this seemed confusing to Chapman, the Bank they went with,etc. Even though we explained it multiple times, had current insurance (USAA is awesome), and copies of orders as well as current AZ drivers licenses. We got multiple phone calls about our address, once we finally received our plates they are only registered for 6 months instead of a year minimum. We can't possibly be the first military buyers in Tucson but they don't seem to have a clue! 4) Our license plates were set to expire on Aug 4th we finally received our plate today August 1st after my having to make multiple phone calls to both DMV and finally to Chapman to complain. If the plates were returned as the sticker on it said Chapman SHOULD have immediately called us to verify what was going on! Personally we will not purchase from them again, and have been told since by others to go elsewhere.

This was my best buying experience ever! I was looking for a used car for my daughter's first car. I had contacted Isaac Salas to arrange for a test drive of the VW Golf. He was so responsive, courteous and helpful, with no sales pressure whatsoever. Instead, he focused on telling me about the car, about the certified used car program (24 mo bumper-to-bumper warranty), and about the technology relating to rear cameras, etc., which was something I was interested in. Isaac was just a genuinely nice guy. Also, the whole process was very quick. I didn't have to go into the showroom for a big lecture, as I had with other dealerships. Instead, I got to test drive the car I wanted, check out a few others that I was interested in, and that was it. I then checked a ton of other cars and ultimately came back to buy this one. I contacted Isaac again by text a few months later. He immediately remembered me. When I told him I was ready to buy but could not come over the weekend, he put the car on hold for me! That gave me such peace of mind, as I was arranging delivery of the car as a surprise for my daughter. The surprise was great. She was shocked and then sooo excited! She just loved every aspect of the car, and loved the VW key rings and pen that Isaac had given me to give to her. The sound system works great with her cell as well. She is on Cloud 9. She said she got the sense of what it will be like to have the freedom of having her own transportation. (Right now, she is outside the school district, so we have to always figure out a ride for her.) Also, she just loved the fact that it was so easy to park compared to my larger SUV. She got out and beamed when she saw how she was so perfectly in the park lines, etc. And she said the car fit so perfectly that she felt it was part of her skin. (Nothing like the enthusiasm of a young driver, with such a great car.)This was my best experience buying this car from Isaac! I give him my highest recommendation! Plus the rest of the staff was helpful too, from the sales manager to the finance administrator. Everything was great!

I had been told I needed tires and a $495 service elsewhere I mentioned to service advisor and was prepared to have tires and the 40,000 mile service doneI was escorted to waiting room which was clean and very welcoming 30 min later My vehicle was ready Advisor let me know no tires were needed for 10,000 miles and that before I had purchased at Chapman a few months ago all services had been performed I was amazed at level of integrity I experienced I have bought many cars at various dealers in Tucson and I left yesterday with a huge smile! Great feeling!!! Thank you!!!

My wife and I went to Chapman on Speedway and met Salesperson Guillermo "Billy" Bolanos. After looking at few vehicles on that lot, we found a couple that were actually on the Chapman Volkswagen lot so Billy suggested we head over there. What a concept - one salesman for multiple lots! I lived in Southern California for over 30 years and have purchased multiple new vehicles and I was blown away by the earnestness and candor of Billy and the team at Chapman Volkswagen in their commitment to making sure we ended up in the correct vehicle. Once we decided on the right one, Manager Diego Gonzalez took us the rest of the way with the financing; in fact, after leaving the lot very happy, Diego called me an hour later to say that he'd actually gotten a BETTER deal for us. I was more than happy to return to the dealership a few days later to update the paperwork - just couldn't be more impressed with this team. I will continue to sing their praises and refer business there - THANK YOU CHAPMAN AUTO GROUP!!!!

Don't buy a car from these people. Esp there used lot. I knew what car I wanted and was sold before stepping into the lot. Honda CrZ. The process was terrible, it took them more than four hours to get me out. Also I had to bring my car in 8 times after purchase. Problems occur with Tire pressure, dirty car, maintence light wasn't reset, fog light repair, dirty air filter, dirty cabin filter, etc. The manager, Diego, said they will fix all these problems and appoligiaze for there mistake. And come to find out they sold me a car with 3 bent rims and a seepage on my rear shocks. Crooks! They lost my future business. My advice is to have your car check by a third party mechanic. Don't trust there Honda service, which is also part of chapman, because according to them my car is in excellent-like new condition. Thankfully I had my car transported 1,000 miles instead of driving it. I can only imagine an accident waiting to happen with three bent rims.

Unbelievable!!!! Normally I dread the whole "car buying" experience. That all changed after buying my 2015 Jetta from Chapman VW of Tucson. In over 30 years of buying cars this was the easiest, and most pleasant experience I've ever had. Isaac showed us 4 different vehicles matching our desires and fitting our budget. Never felt any pressure to buy nor endless trips to talk to a manager about pricing, The trade in value we received for our old vehicle was more than fair, and the overall price of our new vehicle was better than we had hoped. Brenda in finance was extremely helpful as well. We came in with preapproved 6 year loan with a 2.9% interest rate and she managed to get us an even lower rate for the same time period. I can't fully relate what a fantastic experience this was...even the coffee was amazing! I will be buying from Chapman again.

as I sit here in the bathtub I reflected it was now time to get a new car. Something to replace my 2012 bug. My wife tells me that the VW golf is know the highly rated vehicle in the industry and for some time I have been thinking this should be my next car. It harkens back to the day when I was a poor college kid and saw the VW Rabbit. My sister had one and she blew the transmission so I put in one from a scirocco. Boy did that transmission make the rabbit run. Then they came out with the Golf to replace it. Ah the Golf. I pick up my technology my iPad and I go to Internet sales and review the one I want as a new commuter/delivery vehicle for work. I find the perfect one I email and receive a response within five minutes. I get out of the tub dry off and go to see this Golf. I ride my DL1000 to their location as I get there and I text my wife the info on the car from the dealership. I take pictures and send them to her. She approves all within ten minutes. So I buy the car. It was easy sign and drive. The bathtub was really part of the experience and in no way was it a coercive element in my decision. Richard RPh

I went online to look at the 2015 Volkswagen Jettas, I own a 2006 Jetta and love it, I found the gas Jettas, diesel Jettas & hybrid Jettas. After looking them over I did a live chat with Chapman Volkswagen of Tucson to set up a time to see a seals rep.. I received a phone call before my appointment so they could gather more information from me, like what I am looking for, so they would be ready to go over the available option when I arrive. Shortly after that I received an email confirming my appointment and the sale rep. I will be meeting, Ken Lewis. Ken Lewis was fantastic, he went over all the option of the gas, diesel & hybrid Jettas, then I choose to test drive the diesel Jetta & loved it. The rest of the team that processed my paper work where fantastic & Ken stayed with me thru the whole proses, he even steady late until my paper work was done, just in case I need anything. Chapman Volkswagen of Tucson keep of the good work. Thanks for the new car!

Went in after going to the Larry H Miller VW store feeling like I was being taken for a fool because I was a girl. Adam greeted us and was very knowledgeable about the vehicles that I was looking for. He was able to provide me with a car that was what our family needed. His knowledge of the VW line made me feel so much more at ease compared to the other store. I felt like I was being provided truthful information and wasn't being scammed. Most importantly, he and the rest of the staff had patience as we dealt with our crazy 2 year old running around the store! When we need to go get another car, we will be going back to Chapman VW. Great experience!

On numerous occasions we have called with emergent or urgent concerns and Scott has managed to pull off the impossible to keep us on schedule. In spite of the fact we know we are "demanding" customers, Scott is always extremely courteous and thorough. He has never failed to call me with an update or to discuss a service adjustment, and his estimates of turn-around time are reliable. Our impression is that he works just as hard behind the scenes to accomplish all this, and his designates are well informed if he can not be there personally to interact with us. Sammie was really fabulous. She was friendly, receptive to what I needed to tell her about my car and was timely with all phone calls. When I dropped the car off, we agreed it should be balanced. A couple hours later, she called to say that the tires were very close to being worn out and asked if I wanted to install new ones. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to do so that day, which was fine as they could put the tires in better shape up front (no pressure. Which is really a plus!). When I went to pick up my vehicle that afternoon, Sammie said "we didn't do the balancing today since you'll be needing new tires and it'll save you a bit of money." That's just a really, really big plus for me. I understand that dealers and service departments need to make money, but taking advantage of a situation is never a recipe for success.I appreciate Sammie's fantastic customer service. I can only make it up to get service on Saturdays and from now on I'm going to do my best to coordinate my visits to when Sammie works. Thanks!

I contacted VW via their web page and was directed to the internet manager at Chapman, who offered an internet purchase discount. I was looking for a new Beetle to replace my wife's 2002 one. We scheduled an appointment with Michael for a test drive. My wife loved the car, but preferred the older shape. No problem, we were not pushed into buying a new car, but Michael showed us a 2007 model in excellent condition. We got a very good deal on that, and on her old car, sight unseen, and drove away the same day. Next day I took in the old car and was pleasantly surprised to learn that, despite my less than perfect credit score, the finance manager had found even better finance for us. Michael then obligingly drove me back to work. Overall a very pleasant experience with no pressure. I will certainly go back to Chapman when it is time to replace my car.

Sammie explained to me that the rear tail light is a sealed unit (perty dumb)and must be replaced due to the lens had fallen out of the left hand rear stop light. She explained that the cost was $250. At that point she checked the computer file regarding my car and informed me that the warranty was still in effect and covered the problem. Therefore, the light replacement cost me nothing, thanks to Sammie. The car was repaired and returned in about two hours. While I was wainting for my car, I used the time to look at the new VWs on the lot, and there I met Lamar. I explained to Lamar that I was not in the market for a new car, and I was spending time looking while my care was being repaired. Larmar was very helpful, and took the time to show me the features of the various cars. My expierence talking with Lamar was very informative, and when I am in the market for a new car I will come back, and buy it from Lamar. You have a very helpful staff, and it makes for a pleasent visit even if the service had was not been covered under the warranty.Thanks. Jerry Hancock

I HAD NO RIDE FROM THRIFTY RENTALS NEAR THE AIRPORT AND ED HAD THE DRIVER COME AND PICK ME UP EVEN THOUGH THAT ORDINARILY IS NOT DONE ON THE WEEKEND! Previous visits to this Service Center were unsatisfactory in the areas of Customer Service, Friendliness, and Overall Experience. Sammie Boykin has given me renewed faith in Chapman VW, Tucson. She was happy to answer my questions with understandable explanations. She greeted me promptly, gave me an estimated time for the service, and the service was completed within that timeframe. Sammie noted that the date of my actual purchase of the vehicle and the VW date were not in sync, so she would have it corrected. Within 2 miles of departure from my visit a sensor went off and I returned immediately. I was given immediate service to reset the sensor which had been missed during the service and re-check all the tires to ensure the sensor was the only problem.

I live in Sierra Vista and have an 1 1/2 drive to the dealership. Larry Sanchez always makes it at my convenience and is very considerate of my time. If the repairs are taking longer than estimated he makes certain I have transportation.Having car problems is never a good thing - but if you have Larry as your service contact he makes sure it isn't painful.

Service department confirmed that I had indeed purchased an extended warranty, and was able to complete work required by a Volkswagen TSB to remove and replace the intake manifold to correct an air intake valve issue. There was a mixup when I first brought the car by, and due to having to bring the car by a second time (to actually complete the work), I was provided a loaner vehicle and the dealership coordinated with VW Corporate to cover the deductible on my warranty. I would definitely recommend Chapman VW to anyone looking to purchase a Volkswagen product. Their staff provided excellent customer service and good communication.

First let me say I am from Canada and drive a 2006 Passat which has 86K on it and has always been well serviced and maintained. While visiting in Yuma for the winter I had unexpected problems with my Passat and had it towed to the nearest VW dealership for repairs in Indio. Seventeen days later I got my car back repaired, so I thought.After having already had this major job done on my Passat I expected that my car would be ready for touring South East Arizona. Not so! I wasn't long into the tour when I discovered the car was leaking coolant, a problem I have never had in the 20 years of driving Passats. I called up Chapman VW from Sierra Vista, and connected with Ed who worked me into his busy service schedule. The problem was diaagnosed, the part ordered and although I had to wait a few days I was put into a rental from Enterprise which filled the gap nicely. Ed was friendly, kind and instilled confidence in me that my car would be serviced properly. He introduced me to the technician who serviced my car and the technician explained the problem to me. Ed also helped get my service covered by my extended warrantee, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you for restoring my confidence in VW service.Joanne Fischer

When I pulled into the service area Scott promptly came up to my drivers door to greet me, asked me why I was there and wrote up the service order and my car was then taken to the service bay area. As I was in the waiting room drinking a cup of coffee, Scott came in several to update me on my cars progress and make some recommendations. When my car's service was finished he came in and took care of the transaction and handed me the keys and I drove off.

Took my 2011 Jetta Sportswagen TDI in for 10,000 mile service. Tires were rotated but apparently something was not reset. My car gave me a warning the next day to check tires. I got out and gave them a visual inspection. Looked OK and I was about 2 miles from the dealership so drove there to have it checked. Ed Diamond, my regular tech, said that the Express Service Dept was still on the learning curve to reset something when tires are rotated to avoid a false warning.Also, took almost 10 minutes to get somebody to attend to me when I first arrived, even though nobody was in line before me.Bob Kahl

Our car needed to be repaired as we were retuning from a road trip.It was late on a Saturday afternoon and we knew that the service department would be closed . We were very much surprised that there were still sales people in the dealership and theyenabled us to leave the car with them and they turned the car over to the service people first thing Monday morning. They also arranged to take us home!The car was repaired on Monday and it was ready for pick-up late afternoon. it had been repaired and washed as well.There was no charge for it,items were covered by a recall. We were very pleased.!

Larry worked to reduce my price on fixing the cruise control that was a huge problem on our 2600 mile trip. Before the trip I brought my VW in for a check up to make sure it was in good enough shape for that long trip. After we were on the road we found that the cruise control didn't work and my husband complained about it the whole way.

This is the second time Scott has been my service advisor for servicing our 2010 Routan. He explained what was going to be done, asked if there were any issues I was concerned about, arranged for the shuttle to take me to work, provided me regular progress updates, and then let me know what the next service requirement for the van would be. I was going to be in Tucson over the 4th of July weekend and took a chance and called your dealership service department. They had no problem with scheduling an appointment two days before my arrival. I had the best service ever, I apologize for not remembering the woman who helped me, but she was GREAT! My appointment was on July 2, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. I arrived 30 minutes early and was treated with a no problem attitude. A quick check was done on my car and I was offered to wait. It was really awesome to walk in and get immediate service. I plan on scheduling all my vehicles appointments with your dealership in the future. I showed up with no appointment and was greeted by a friendly and smiling service person. He gave me an ETA on the service of my vehicle and he was right on the button about it. He offered me a complimentary shuttle to my home, but I declined since I was bringing in a company vehicle. The waiting room is great. Comfortable seats, coffee and snacks and televisions made it all worth the wait. the shuttle drivers asked me twice if I needed a ride somewhere and I declined. Great attention to detail and great customer service. I had another employee offer me coffee and snacks. I will keep coming here for future services.

We really like the convenience of booking an appointment online. When we arrived, we were attended to promptly. Scott is always very accommodating, asking questions such as if I need a shuttle or the complimentary carwash. I had several issues that needed to be resolved in regard to my 2006 Passat from another dealership in Iowa. Larry gave me his full attention and helped not only resolve the issues but helped me understand the problem with the car. He took care of the air conditioning issues, recall notices, and helped detect why the engine light was going on. The service work was completed on time and on budget. Something that Lithia Volkwagen in DesMoines Iowa always failed to do. I was sour on VW prior to my experience with Larry Sanchez. Now I am back as a future purchaser of a new Volkswagen in about 6 months and will continue to get my car serviced at Chapman Volkswaagen. Incidently, I live in Sierra Vista Arizona which is about 60 miles from the Chapman dealership.

Sammie was very helpful and knowledgeable for my warranty issues. And the fact that I have just moved to Arizona from North Carolina she told me to make sure and change my oil a little more often than I was told to do so in North Carolina because of the climate and dirtiness of Arizona. Every 5,000 rather than 10,000. She kept me updated on the progress and we decided so I wouldn't have to wait an additional three hours for the ignition issue to be fixed to make another appointment for Tuesday. Totally satisfied.

Had the car serviced on a Friday; but couldn't pick it up until the next day (Sat.) because of time needed to do the servicing.While Larry was off on Saturday, he made sure we went over the cost of repairs on late Friday, and had the car washed and ready to go on Saturday morning when I arrived.I appreciated being furnished a rental car on Friday so I didn't have to spend the entire day sitting in the customer lounge, as nice as it is!Larry is a great person to work with!

Ed was amazing. I came in because my brakes were squealing. I had the car completely inspected at Chapman in January, as a precautionary measure before I decided to buy it, and told them the brakes were squealing at that time. The service tech said the brakes had 7 millimeters still on the pads. After I purchased the car in February, the brakes were getting worse and I visited my local repair shop for an opinion. I was told that the brakes had only 20% left on the pads. I told Ed about this and that I had only put 4000 miles on the car since the inspection and he said that, if Chapman made an error in the inspection, he would replace the brakes at no cost to me. He reviewed the past service information and the end result was the my brake pads and rotors were completely replaced for free. Additionally, they checked my battery and said that it failed, and they replaced the battery also for free. There was no hassle at all with Ed, only honest and fair treatment. I could not be more impressed. Car dealers have a stigma about them and I always feel that I am being framed. I have had problems with Chapman service in the past where I was told something that was completely untrue, and I had the written proof to demonstrate it. I had to take my concerns to the general manager at that time. Also, Chapman in far from my home and, coupled with the problems with past service, I was very skeptical when coming into the dealership for service. Ed totally gave me a new and much improved impression of Chapman service. I believe that I will be treated with honesty when dealing with Ed and I will not hesitate to come back into Chapmsn for service as long as Ed is my Advisor. Thank you so much Ed! You restored my faith!!

I've known Scott longer then I've known Larry but I found both to be very helpful and curteous. Scott I would have to give extra KUDOS for putting up with me when I tended to be a jerk. I'm not that way anymore and I can now appreciate what these guys go through on a daily basis and still remain prefessional. Larry is my current service advisor and I find him just as great as Scott. He also will go out of his way to help me and I really thank him for that. In all I would say you have two really fine employees and I would hope that you VW and Chapman) treat them in the same manner as you would have them treat me and your other customers. I was very impressed with the way my concerns were taken care off, Ed listened and said he would check into my questions on repairs. He introduced me to the service mng, and he took my concerns with great sincerity, he did not try to just "Blow me off" or make any excesses... he called that evening with the news that the one repair would be taken care of by Volkswagen! I am impressed!... I had told him that I know three people that bought Diesel cars. two there and one in MT because they were very impressed with our car. She called me when the sevice was completed, the car was washed when I picked it up. Sammie was very pleasent and extermly helpfull. Since I know nothing about cars she explained all of the sevice in detail. I will return for all of my car's servicing with confidence that she will get the job done. Great job, thank you Sammie!

The new construction and service area layout is a huge improvement over the former cramped quarters. It's much easier for the service team to see the clients coming and going and the waiting room, with its wireless area is also a major plus. It is the only VW dealership in Tucson and there should be at least one more to take the load off of Chapman -- vehicle sales would increase for VW as well if you had a Northwest location.

As a first-time buyer of a new vehicle, my overall experience with Chapman Volkswagen was excellent. I came in to test drive the vehicle on two separate occasions weeks before sitting and crunching numbers with the sales and finance people. My 2004 Letta TDI needed oil change and tire rotation, plus had a problem with the temperature gauge and an unusual noise. Scheduled the service with Sammie, our service representative. On the schedule date and time, we showed up and Sammie greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. She paid attention to our concerns and description of the noise problem. She offered to go on a test ride to hear for herself. For once we were able to replicate the problem! She took note and sent us on our way. She called that afternoon to say that the techs still had not found the problem and asked whether we needed the car back that day or if she could have it overnight. I was pleased that she was so concerned. The Jetta stayed and the next day before noon we got a call saying that they had found the problem and we could come get the car. I can't say enough for the kind of great service we have received from Chapman and from Sammie in particular.

Sammy was very helpful and explained all that was done to my vehicle while in the service department. She was very knowledgable about what was being done and why it needed to be done. She was very friendly, and was smiling the whole time. I would have liked an update throughout the day, my vehicle was there from 8am to 5pm, but my vehicle worked great when I picked it up.

I have had unplesent dealing with this dealership several years ago but decided to give it another try for service. I was extreamly impressed! Sammie, my service advisor, was plesent to deal with. I felt she was taking the time to answer all my questions and address any concerns I had. I was also impressed with the changes to the waiting room. There was free donuts, popcorn, multiple TVs, and a great coffee machine. I can't tell you how happy I am that I don't ever have to dread taking my car in for service any more!!!

Picked up screw in tire. Location mandated new tire, not repair. Needed at once due to my own care-giving situation. Could not risk having risky car over the weekend. You had the tire. Notwithstanding busy schedule, Ed fit me in.New tire/mounting etc., provided quickly. However, on the way home began losing pressure. Having left the dealer at 38psi, down to 15 upon arrival in GV. Upon OK from Ed, took to local tire repair shop for remedy. Found nothing....zero. Remounted, took on another circuit and and found still leaking. Mystery. Agreed with Ed to return to you folks. Couldn't make it all the way. Had to add air at Valencia. Noticed not as much leakage on low-speed roads the rest of the way to you.Source of leakage remained a mystery -- to me and to you. David Rupp and I discussed, both admitting being mystified. Nobody here or there examining the tire found anything. Notwithstanding our failure to explain, we agree to mount second new tire expecting whatever happened to be unlikely to repeat. It was a good plan. The second tire/mounting is fine.This was an expensive and annoying situation for both of us. I think it is important for you to know that in my opinion there's absolutely no fault to be found anywhere. In my opinion, I was treated very well from start to finish. Certainly, I wish none of this had happened and, like you, I still don't know how to explain it. On the other hand, Ed and Dave stepped right up and worked through it with me. I commend them both for it and I commend Chapman for employing such people.

I had my windows tinted before I picked up my new car. There was no direction, i.e. do not put your windows up or down during the drying process for ____ hours/days. A friend of mine told me you should not put your windows down for at least 48 hours, so I waited three days to do so. Also, there was bubbling in the tinting. I called to make an appointment to have them redone, but by the time the appointment came, there were no longer bubbles. Someone could have made me aware that this was normal (at least, I hope so). I was given an approximate time to pick up the vehicle after having the windows tinted....that time kept extending to nearly 2 hours later.We waited quite a while (maybe 15 minutes??)after we arrived for a Sales Person to come out and see if we needed help.

Having been in to your shop on monthly basis lately. The wait to pick up your car is longer. It was not in the best interest of the customers to make the service rep also the cashier. The quality of time that the service rep gives you is scattered at best. I noticed in my long wait numerous customers that were not the number one priority. I hope you reevaluate the number of job duties you have put on your service reps or get more service reps. We deserve better quality for prices you are charging.

Great service and customer interface. Prices are high. Replacement of timing belt was over $500.00. Overtemp light not working requires replacement of the instrument cluster at $740.00, instead of simple replacing a bad LED. No warning Chime, requires door latch replacement at $460.00. VWs are expensive cars to maintain. I have had two Corrados in the past and they were very expensive to maintain. I would probably not buy a new VW, because of the cost to maintain.This has nothing to do with the dealship or the people employed there, but simply the manufacture.

I told Sammie I checked prices against an independent and found you to be about a hundred higher on each fix. Maybe it would end up even if they did not have your familiarity with a VW. My vehicle was towed in since it wouldn't start. I was told I had to buy a battery before they could even start it to check what was wrong. I would think that a dealer would have an extra battery. Once I purchased the battery, it started right up. However, I was told that my fuel injector pump was leaking and that I needed another one at a cost of $2100, with battery $2300. I checked around and the price was reasonable. I prefer to have the dealer do major work. Unfortunately, when my husband picked up the car, he was told it had a little leak and could have made it for awhile. (I think they said 10,000 miles, but am not sure). If I was told that at the time , I might have deferred the service. Any how, I have spent over $5K on car repairs this past year, plus a timing belt went out at 100K miles two years ago. That was about $3500. I love my car, but the repair costs are so high and my car has had too many major problems to consider it a reliable investment. I am looking for another vehicle, but will not buy a VW again.Nanette Slusser

I've heard mostly bad reviews/opinions on Chapman VW, mostly to deal with price and declining to warranty parts. We bought a used '08 VW GTI in May of 2010 and just took it in for it's 20k service that they quoted $390 for... basically a glorified oil change which I'm already OVER-paying for but god forbid you do oil changes anywhere else then try to get warranty work done at your dealer... Also had a recall serviced, something to do with the DSG transmission (metatronic something). Scott looked it up real quick and ordered the part and called me the following week to schedule me. They had the vehicle for the day and had Enterprise pick me up at the dealership to get my rental which turned out to be a 2010 VW Jetta, so glad we got a GTI. Scott was friendly and from the reviews I've read on here he and a woman that works there are the two people to go to for your service needs. The whole dealership is under construction right now (Dec 2010) but I still had quick service and not much of a hassle. If the price of an oil change wasn't so damn high I'd be using this dealership for everything but then I'd be broke. I'll be taking the GTI to Chapman for all warranty work but not the oil changes.

First, the dealership denied that any recall applied to my car or that it was too old to be eligible for recall work.After it relented, then the employee misrepresented what was covered by the recall and in effect tried to charge me for service already included in the recall.The dealership offered me no rental car for the time that the work was being done.The work went very slowly (now about 10 days after the car was left). The dealership had suggested that the work would be done early this week, and not until Thursday did they call to tell me that the work was running late.I have had many problems with this dealership and try to avoid bringing any repair work there. I did in this case only because, as far as I know, they are the only local VW dealership, and the work was under a recall.

SCOTT EXPLAINED EXACTY WHAT HAD TO BE DONE TO THE CAR; WHAT IT WOULD COST; AND WHY IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTE. SCOTT KEPT ME INFORMED AS TO THE PROGRESS OF THE CAR AND OFFERED A FREE WASH WHEN THE CAR WAS DONE. I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP AROUND 7 A.M. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK IN JUST A FEW MINUTES. THEY REQUIRED A COUPLE OF HOURS TO FIX THE PROBLEM (SOMETIMES RATTLES CAN BE DIFFICULT) AND FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME AROUND. THERE WAS A COMFORTABLE WAITING ROOM FOR SERVICE CUSTOMERS. BECAUSE IT WAS CHRISTMAS EVE DAY, I BELIEVE THERE WERE ONLY TWO CUSTOMERS SO I RECEIVED GREAT SERVICE. THE SHOWROOM OF VW IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION SO THERE REALLY WASN'T ANY PLACE THE LOOK AT THE NEW CARS.

(1) I would love to get coupons, like discount on oil changes and tune-ups. I don't like using Walmart for oil changes, and their service can't compare to yours for quality - but I need to save a buck or two wherever I can. (2) I REALLY think it is wrong to charge $100 for running diagnostics, especially when I authorize the needed work which results in a $500+ bill for me. The standard diagnostic charge should be less ($25 would be fair), and totally discounted from the repair bill if you do the work.

I was and always have been a satisfied customer with Chapman VW Since my 2001 Beetle was purchased(new)there.I was very disappointed in the cost of my last bill there.I had heard another place would have done the same work there for approx 1/4 of what I paid. I understand charging for labor, but the parts were under $450.00 ,and labour brought it up past $1,000.00Scott was the man I worked with and I can't praise him enough. He brought the bill down a little, and I so appreciate that.Even though it still seemed high, I was able to put it on my charge card. Sammie continues to be the only service person that has not frustrated me with promises and/or not made sure all that I asked to be checked was checked. She keeps me adivsed. Explains what is going to happen and when done what was done. She always gives me an estimate of time and although sometimes it may take longer she always keeps me updated during the day. I will no longer come in for service if she is out. The last time I did I was misled by how much time the service person promised, she said 1 hour. I told her that if was only an hour I would wait otherwise I would get a courtsey ride to my work. She never checked in with me. After an hour she did not come in to update me and i could not find her. After two plus hours I found her and she said the car was getting washed and it would be just a little bit longer, that was another 20 minutes. She knew but apparently forgot i was in some what of a hurry to get out of there since I had said I would stay for an hour. She should have come in and asked me if I wanted the car washed before she added even more time on to my wait. If I had known it was going to take 3 hours i would have gone to work. I was NOT HAPPY. I'd rather have them be conservative and be done early then mislead me and then not come in and keep me adivised as to what was going on.

I took my car for its 40,000 mile service and after the service found out the back windows were not working properly. Scott sent it back to the mechanics who found the fault and made the repair. They could not finish the job before 6pm and promised to have my car ready for pick up at noon the next day. Scott also made sure I got a rental at a very good rate. I went to pick up my car just before noon and it was ready with everything working like new again. Scott was very nice and friendly and I will definitely go back to Chapman's.

Overall the experience was great. I got there not knowing what to do with my car and right away I was led to the right person. Once I was there he was nice, friendly and honest. When my car was in the garage they found some extra errors and were quick to contact me about additional service for an extra fee. I was fine with that. The only thing I didn't like much was when they offered a new battery at a price that was too high. I went and bought a battery at a lower price and they gladly installed it at the original price. My car was running in no time.

Quoted me 3 months and $12,000 for repairs to a damaged wire harness, but it took them 9 months! When I got my car back, the seat was torn and the bumper was cracked and scratched. They lied and said the car was like that when they got it. So glad I had pictures to prove otherwise. My suggestion, drive to Phoenix, it is worth it!

Quick. Efficient. Convenient. Respectful. Less than the estimate; I don't care if it was good salesmanship on Sammie's part or not, it made me SMILE! It's nice to be remembered when I arrive. Ray is a careful driver who didn't mind silence-aahhh!I was a problem child, needing an earlier than usual drop off in the morning and a "get me right now" pick up in the afternoon. It wasn't a problem. Everything was explained and I was on my way in under 5 minutes from the time the van arrived at the service center. Everything was stapled and the people were pleasant and I was gone.I have no idea if the work was done well -- I'm a blogger not a mechanic -- but the car runs fine.

A couple of comments. First, the whole service area seemed, well a bit disorganized--maybe due to construction. Some reps overloaded causing a wait and others seemed not to be very busy at all. Bought a battery and had it installed---nothing was mentioned about the 20$ rebate (I found it myself on a stand by the parts counter) when I paid the bill or phoned re a quote. no coffee in pots by donuts (thanks for the donut though)till i asked and then I had to take the filled pot outside myself after it sat for 5 or 10 minutes after it was filled. Car wash guys sent home ???--weather--it was spitting at 9 a m but it was nice when I left the dealership at noon!!! Not the top quality I have seen in the past.Note: when I asked staff, were willing to help but I saw few signs of people being pro active. I am still weighing where I want to take my Jetta for service--you or Stutgart--although you do seem competitive on price.

Would I recommend Chapman? It is too early to tell, as my first experiene there in September was not particulary positive. This last time out was positive, in that the price, diagnostic, service, and timing were fine. Sammy was courteous & professional, and sincere in her attempt to help me.The price I felt was commensurate with the labor, parts, etc. that one has to expect, especially in today's economy when money has become so tight, and one has to work so hard for it. Everybody, consumer, business, government, has to do his fair share to improve the economy. Why should the university where my daughter attends be able to raise its tuition six or seven percent a year -- especially in these times? It is not acceptable anymore. And it's the same for Chapman or any other important car dealership. You are entitled to make a fair profit to maintain your operations. But anything that smacks of unfairness has to be curtailed. I was also plesed that I was offered a %25.00 dollar discount for driving all the way from Sierra Vista on my day off. Above all, I arrived at 0755, and was seen almost immediately. The car was ready by one p.m., which was fine. I still need a couple of important repairs -- namely, the EVAP Cannister replaced; and, the airbag light is illuminated,a problem for some years now. Experience was outstanding. Every time we have gone in for mileage service we were extremely pleased. Sammy, our service rep, was exceptionally helpful and very courteous. I have a leak in the convertible top and was told they could not fine the leak upon first examination, and when I told them that not only once did it leak but twice, they went back and did the test all over again to make sure they had not missed it. Did not leak for them, but told us to please come back if it does it again. Very helpful and customer service orientated people. Yeah for Chapman VW of Tucson. We are a big fan of yours.

This experience was much better than my first experience with this Dealership. I planned to have all service performed in Avondale because of this Dealers reputation. I do not want to work with Richard, Kathy is outstanding. I have had several problems with the tires on this car, and I wish I would have refused to purchase it with Continental tires because my experience with that brand so far is really bad. I am working with Kathy to get reimbursed for two of the defective tires - they both had bubbles. I ended up replace all four tires because my husband did not believe the tires on the car were safe. That was $600 out of my pocket that I should not have had to spend within the first 3 months I owned the car.

I brought my car in for warranty work (making a noise from the front right area of the car). Service had my car all day and told me they couldnt hear/find the problem. When I went to pick the car up I took the lead mechanic for a drive and pointed out the noise. Subsequently, I had to bring my car back in again to have the noise investigated and troubleshot, wasting mine and the mechanics time This is not the first time Ive had to bring my car back to the dealer because they claimed they couldnt find the problem the first time. On a previous occasion the transmissions Mechtronic unit need to be replaced yet it took several trips to the dealer to convince them it needed to be replaced. Lastly, on the latest trip to the dealer to investigate the noise, they discovered they had left the shipping block in my front suspense when they had prepared my car for sale. I've had the car for three year and in for work several times and they just discovered the blocks.

Quality of work was related to how my new car was detailed. The exterior was very dusty, as if it had been washed days earlier then sat outside. There was a "50-cent" sized black grease spot on the front passenger headliner...unacceptable for a new delivery car. In short, little or no attention to detail on the car's appearance.Len Luskin, however, was excellent in every way. For this reason, I would not hesitate to buy from him again or to send others to him for a car purchase/lease. Adam, in the business office, was also accomodating,, efficient and great.

I had a screw in the tire of my 2010 Jetta Limited, I had not even made a payment and did not get the extended tire warranty. I had contacted my salesperson who must have referred my question to Emily Lopez. Emily promptly called me to set up an appointment to have my car looked at. Sammie is always a pleasure to work with. She responds to all my questions and issues. I feel like I pay a lot of money for the work and could get it done elsewhere for less. I brought the car in for its 125000 mile check up and told about a noise that it was making. They found nothing wrong. Then with the assistance of a friend we determined that we thought front wheel bearings where going out so I took it back again and took mechanic on ride and explained what I heard. He said it was the tires but he would run more tests. I then got the call that the front wheel bearings where going. I don't think the customer should be the one that has to diagnosis the problems. I have had an issue with the headlight cover on the passenger side come flying off while driving. Chapman fixed the light again for me despite it being out of warranty without charge to me. That was greatly appreciated. I always get 10% of coupons AFTER the service has been done. Chapman is good about letting me use coupons. Did I tell you Sammie is a pleasure to work with? She is great and probable the only reason I keep coming back to Chapman.

I brough my car in to replace the struts and for break fluid flush. I also mentioned that the handling had become bumpy. Chapman techs never mentioned any possible reason for the bumpy handling. So next I took the car to a tire shop which found bubbles in the side walls of the tires. I can't comprehend how the Chapman techs either didn't see the tire damage or choose not to report it. When I saw the damage it was very blatant. Second, I compared your prices to prices for the same services at two other shops around Tucson, with both shops using new Volkswagen-approved parts. In both cases your prices were not competetive; the older and more established shop at which I compared prices had prices anywhere from 30-40% lower than yours. Wow! The noise in the driver door is fixed.The body part that fell off is replaced and the paint matches the car.The missing time for satalite radio trial period was programed back.A recall was found for the computer software and it was installed.The donuts,coffee,newspaper made waiting comfortable.The car was returned shiny clean as always,it was washed.Brain showed me how the new body part should be installed if it ever might be removed for tow service-the correct way it should look when and how it is replaced after a tow service.Everybody was helpfull and freindly-Thankyou.Bert Wright

I was having problems with the AC compressor not kicking in, until 2400 rpm, and codes P0122 and P1543 relating to low input at the throttle sensor and throttle pedal sensor. I have a competent mechanic friend, and we worked for 2 weeks trying to trace the source of these problems. We did replace the AC low pressure switch, before which the AC was not coming on at all. We purchased the trac wiring diagram from All Data and checked every fuse, switch, relay and sensor related to the problem, but could not find the source. Rather than continue on this snipe hunt, I decided to bring it in to Chapman VW I told Scott that I only wanted the diagnosis done and I could do the work. He gave me a quote of $117 for the diagnosis and I agreed. It took Daniel several hours to locate the problem, which turned out to be in a wiring harness connection. He cleaned it and the problem was solved. Scott stuck to his original quote, even though it took much longer than he anticipated. On top of that, the car was washed when I picked it up. Scott also found a recall which he ordered parts for and will schedule for a later date. NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL SERVICE! PS. This is my 5th of 6 VWs, '63 Beetle,'68 Fastback,'78 Rabbit '89 Fox and '02 Passat

Our new VW Routan pulled to the right so we made an appt. to take it in for service. The allignment was adjusted and now the van tracks properly. We really appreciated the fact that there was no charge for the adjustment. At the same time arrangements were made for the dealership to pick up our license plate for us. We appreciated their picking the plates up so we didn't have to wait for them to come in the mail.

When I got there Emily was very helpful even though I obviously didn't know where I should be or what to do. She made sure I didn't need a shuttle before letting me wait in the waiting room, and offered me coffee, water, or donuts. She called many places, including the original dealership to check on the status of our warranty (just out), and when it was discovered that I was less than two weeks out of warranty, and only several miles over the 50,000, she asked her manager before I could if there was anything they could do price-wise. And they did! Very painless experience, considering it was car trouble.

I decided to stop going to Scottsdale to give your dealership a try, and since the first day, Scott has been extremely professional and great!! I have two 2006 Jettas. I bought 2 of them at the same time-one for my daughter and me. Sammy Boykin has been the service rep that has provided support everytime I have taken our cars in. Needless to say her professionalism is why I continue to return. I trust her to guide me as to what is appropriate for the maintance of my cars. She is always kind, patient, friendly and a great listener. The service is always timely and complete. Our cars are always clean when we pick them up and they run great! The cashiers are always friendly and I appreciate that, especially when I have to pay the bill (that part is always a little stressful). There are other shops that I could take my volkswagens to that might be a little less expensive (and sometimes I do think about that) but that fact that Sammy has been so great and our cars are in perfect running shape is what keeps me loyal to Chapman Volkswagen. I also want to add that I TRULY appreciate that this last visit was less than I thought it was going to be and that was important to me. Thanks.

One part of the dealership we like the most is the waiting room. We first contacted Costco re: their car buying program, who then sent an e-mail contact to our sales person. We were contacted by Mr. Luskin the same night and set up an appointment the next day. Mr. Luskin was very professional and knowledgeable on the car that we were considering and never made us feel pressured to purchase. The car we test drove was a 2010 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen, which was the second choice in my list of cars we were considering. I was not willing to make a decision on the first visit, we let Mr. Luskin know that we'd be in touch with him. We test drove another car the following day, I loved it and my husband didn't. The salesperson however, at this other dealership was not nearly as personable and 'non pressuring' as Mr. Luskin. We agreed to go back to Tucson VW, I contacted Mr. Luskin (who had already sent me a follow up e-mail) and let him know that I was unsure of which car to purchase and wanted to try out the Jetta TDI Sportwagen again. Again, he was extremely accommodating & patient. We made our decision and purchased the Jetta TDI Sportwagen on our second visit. After driving this vehicle for the last 3 days I am very happy with the decision, it is an amazing vehicle. And we are very happy with the entire process, I would recommend Mr. Luskin at Tucson VW to anyone.Thank you.

We purchased a 2010 VW Routan Van w/ an added security system and an added trailer hitch receiver w/ wiring. We researched the vehicle on the internet and made an appointment with the internet sales associate for a test drive. Our sales associate was extremely helpful and very friendly. He gave us the informaiton we needed to make our decision. The vehicle we wanted had to be ordered. Our associate kept us informed as to when the vehicle would arrive. When the vehicle was ready our sales associate drove the car to our house for us. When we looked over the car we discovered that the wiring had not been completed as this was not normally part of the hitch receiver installation. Our sales associate made arrangements for us to come into the dealership the following week to answer any questions we had and for the installation of the wiring harness. He answered our questions and then took the car to the service department where they quickly put the wiring harness in for us at no additional charge. The additional security system was not added prior to the delivery of the car. Our sales associate made arrangements for the security company to come out to our home to install the added system. We really appreciated getting the car when we did and that the installation was completed at our home rather than our having to bring the car back to the dealership.

I have been going to this VW dealer since my Eurovan was purchased there in 2003 from Al Fleming, a great and very knowledgable salesman. I get free lifetime oil changes which is a great loss leader. I always spend more on additional service. Sammie does a great job as service writer and Matt is an excellent and dedicated mechanic. To see "VW" tatooed on his arms is a clue to his dedication... Beaudry was the previous dealer and made two big mistakes on my car. One was inserting a brake pad 'hard side to the rotor' which destroyed the rotor. I was on a trip and on a Sunday had to raise the car, remove the wheel and pad and turn it around. On another occasion, I had the tires replaced and on a Sunday started out to California and the tires had not been balanced. No wheel weights. On top of that the welded seam on the bottom left side of the van had been crushed. Chapman has bought out Beaudry and have been perfect with their service. Sammy was great. After returnig from the dealership I noticed the left rear tail light was out. This should have been fixed at the time of my service. It is very inconvienient to have to bring the car in again.Sammy was great very accomodating and professional. The service however was poor. .

Sammie Boykin is an excellent service advisor. We drove the 280 miles to get our car serviced and are glad we did! The work was done in one day and the car was returned perfectly clean. All fluids were topped to the correct level. And oil was not overfilled. Excellent experience and we will be back for all our VW service needs.

Chapman's has a good reputation and I have been very satisfied with sales and service personnel. I have had several VWs in the past and loved them which is why I purchased my 2009 Tiguan two years ago. If I should purchase another car it will be a VW.

I enjoy having my Beetle serviced at Chapman because everyone is very friendly and ready and willing to answer any questions I may have. Every time I leave there, I feel confident that my car is safe to drive. I don't mind waiting because I can take time to relax in the lounge and have a cup of coffee, cappuccino, mocha, or whatever I feel for. It's always a pleasant surprise to walk out of the lounge to pick up my car and see that it's even been washed. I don't know of any other place where you can get your car serviced without worrying about the honesty of the employees, relax in the lounge, and have your car washed all in the same place. Thank you Chapman!

I rated the price as "good" because I received a coupon in the mail for a special price for oil change with the knowledge that prices vary and of course my oil change was much higher. I perfer not to get a coupon if it doesn't apply to my car. My suggestion would be to list the vehichle's that the coupon would apply too, there by not causing me or any other customer the frustration's of finding out that the job is costing more than expected. Otherwise, I always have a great experience with Scott, he is pleasant and explains the situation to me in a manner I can understand and doesn't make me feel stupid.

I liked that they were honest! I needed a door latch fixed, and they gave me instructions buying a product and on gluing back together it so I didn't have to spend 1000 dollars fixing it. They found an unrelated issue and fixed it well, and everyone working there is always nice. Thank you!

I went to Chapman Volkswagen to purchase a used vehicle after my previous Volkswagen was totaled. After the contract was signed and everything looked good to go, the salesman unexpectedly showed up at my place of work because they forgot to have me sign part of the contract so he could receive his cut of the money. VERY unprofessional, and this unannounced visit while I was in a corporate meeting caused me problems at work as well. I told them to never come to my work or call my work for any reason...which they did again. Apparently they did not complete the financing paperwork correctly and needed me to come in a sign more paperwork and called my work multiple times never once trying to contact me on my cell phone or personal numbers. Over a month after purchasing the vehicle I still did not have any financing and they needed me to once again come in and sign more paperwork and since a month had gone by and i did not have a payment they also needed to collect a payment from me. I was never told they needed a payment until i showed up to sign the additional papers. I asked them to wait until the end of the week because i had just paid my school tuition and books (which was thousands of dollars). I said that they could debit my account on such and such a date- They even had me sign more paperwork indicating when the could charge my card. After leaving the dealership i discovered they had authorized my card the same day which created insufficient funds in my account and it was temporarily frozen, which caused my tuition payment to bounce. Long story short these guys don't have a clue, they may mean well but are not capable of doing business in a professional manner. I love my Volkswagen but it was not worth getting embarrassed at work and being dropped from a class.

I decided that I wanted have my CC Sport serviced every 5000 miles instead od the recommended 10000. I called my service advisor and was able to get the car in the next day and at a time convenient for me. There was also an issue with a warning light intermittingly coming on. I took the car in and was immediatly taken care of. This is very important to me in that I am a business owner can't be wasteing time standing around waiting for someone to notice I'm there. My service advisor caled when the car was ready and when I picked it up the paper work was complete and she explained indetail the work that had been done. Again no waiting time. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience.

Richard and Matthew were wonderful to work with. I had to bring my Jetta in for some unusual repairs becaues of some faulty work done by a windshield repair shop here in Sierra Vista, and Richard and Matt worked very hard to make sure everything worked perfectly for me again. Because of their diligence I was able to re-cover all the costs of the original work and the work done by Chapman Volkswagen from my insurance. They documented everything very well for me and explained (in terms I could actually understand!) what was wrong and what they would be doing to fix it exactly.I appreciate their level of professionalism and customer service and I would recommend this service department to anyone.

My only regret is that I didn't come here first. Aside from the repairs, Sammy is an excellent service salesperson. She is very knowledgeable and gives accurate estimates to repairs during a period where budget constraints limits our purchasing power. She prioritize repairs so that critical mechanical functions are fixed first as to insure a reliable vehicle until he next wave of maintenance can be scheduled. All in all, a very good experience.

I live two hours drive from Chapman Tucson and had some concerns about getting service work performed conviently. Scott MacNeil is my Service Advisor and has worked with me on scheduling service and has given accurate estimate of the time required. Usually I wait in their clean and comfortable customer waiting area. When warranty service required leaving my car overnight Chapman provided a late model Jetta for my use. Chapmans Customer Service far exceeds what I've experienced at other (non VW) dealerships.

I had just bought my Jetta, and my fiance realized that there was probably a short somewhere as the light above the visor would turn on randomly. I took it to Chapman to have them look at the problem and to ensure that it wasn't a bigger problem than anticipated. I drove up with a friend and went into the longer line. I was signaled to go to the lane with no wait. The first gentleman I spoke with didn't seem to understand what I was talking about, so he got Scott. Scott was very nice and understood that there was a problem. He told me that it would take probably about an hour once it got to the technician and it would take about an hour to get to the technician. I told him that we would be leaving and he got my number. He told me that they do complimentary car washes with their service and asked if I would want one. A little more than an hour later I got a call saying that the car would be ready in about 45 minutes. It gave us enough time to finish what we were doing and to get down there. We walked in and he recognized us, but understandably asked for the last name again. Scott told me that it was a short in the sun visor and that it was replaced. They also did a complete inspection on the car, just in case. He took us to get the key, and pointed us to where the car would be driven to. He thanked both of us and said he hopes we would choose them for service again. He mentioned that there might be a survey coming if I could keep an eye out for it.Overall the service was exceptional. My friend was even impressed with how easy it was to get the problem fixed. I look forward to our future interactions.

Service and customer service was exceptional. The only thing that bothered me was that it was way overpriced. I asked if I could get a courtesy computer reading since the check engine light was on and they said that would be extra, which I thought was pretty mean since I already shelled out 1,255 for all the work I had done. I know it doesn't cost anything just to plug in the computer just to tell me what the check engine light was for.

Took my daughter's 1999 Cabrio in for a broken power window. I had already removed the door panel, hardware and all switches prior to taking it to the dealership. They charged $60 just to look at it, plus added insult to injury by charging $7 for "shop supplies". What a scam! I'll never return or recommend this dealership to anyone.

Hello my name is David Coleman and I have a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI which I purchased new from Chapman Volkswagen. I love this car and I love the service I get from Chapman. I've done all my regular maintenance and some warranty work with Chapman, and my favorite service advisor, by far, is Richard Little. He's always been very courteous and respectful to me, and has always tried to be very straightforward with me, and he's a very attentive listener. In my experience, it's his know-how and his willingness to understand the whole problem or issue, that makes him a great advisor. I think a good advisor has to be able to listen, as well as communicate advise. I've found that it's rare to find an individual with this quality in the automotive industry. The focus always seems to be on confusing industry double-speak, along with high-pressure sales, and of course the obligatory add-ons to inflate the customer's bill exponentially, and thusly increase the business's revenue and mechanics' commissions. This is one of the main reasons why people tend to be apprehensive about doing business with dealerships. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has felt this way about the automotive repair industry. But, I've never felt this way at Chapman, especially with Richard as my advisor. I TRUST both Richard Little and the service dept. at Chapman Volkswagen implicitly. My car is always fixed right the first time - period. I'm a busy person, like the majority of Americans are, and I simply don't have time to reschedule another appointment for some botched repair. Time is money, and Chapman recognizes this principle applies to us the consumers, as well as themselves. This IS good business. I'm not simply saying this lightly - they have EARNED my trust. When a dealership can inspire this much confidence in me as the consumer - it's priceless, and I really appreciate this! I'd rate Richard Little's overall performance, knowledge, and his affable nature as a 10 out of 10! :-) Chapman Volkswagen has always provided me with great service and 'peace of mind'. How much is that worth? Can it be measured in real-world terms? Well, when you can hand over your keys to your wife, or to your son or daughter, without any worries or reservations after a repair - it's invaluable. And I believe that Chapman's commitment to it's customers and their vehicles is also invaluable. Especially with caring advisors like Richard Small, there's no doubt in my mind that this dealership represents the best that the automotive repair industry has to offer.They have earned my trust, respect, and my continued business. Scott's PerformanceAfter 12 months of repeated attempts (7!) to fix a tire pressure problem, our new Service Adviser Scott MacNeil finally achieved to fix the problem. Scott followed through with the arrangements made with Ryan, the regional case manager of VW customer care. He also and without hesitation kept his promise to provide a rental/loaner while waiting for parts. What fixed the problem was the mutual insight that the "soaking with soap test" and "continues re-inflating" apparently does not solve the problem if the tires prove to continuously lose air.VW (meaning Ryan, Scott, and probably also David Rupp) finally understood that there are only two other possible fixes:- clean out contact between rim and tire, and/or- renew valve stems.The repair was now about a month ago ... and so far the pressure holds!!Critique (has nothing to do with Scott - Scott was excellent):- The mechanic typed into the form that tires were rotated, which in actuality did not happen (which caused us to return one more time). Notice that despite this small issue I would also rate the mechanic that performed the tasks as excellent.- Overall, dealership should be more pro-active to resolve such an issue earlier that 12 months, which BTW also would safe VW money and time. I've been told by Ryan that the performed warranty was some kind of courtesy as normally tires are not included. I respectfully disagree as here we are not talking about a malfunction of the tire but about the CONTACT between the car and the tire and the valve stems. But even if it was a courtesy, I believe from a marketing standpoint that it should be in the interest of the dealership to resolve such an issue earlier than 12 months to retain a customer for a future car purchase.

I would just like to add that in addition to the great service I received from Sammie and the service dept. that I also received very friendly and patient help from Al Flemming from the sales dept. he answered my questions about the CC and took the time to give me a test drive, late on a Friday evening. I like the fact that my service representative always takes into account that I drive from S.V. and usually combine my service trips with other appointments and Sammie has accomodated each and every trip I have made over the past 2+ yrs to include this past 50K service which I scheduled late day (3pm). Thanks.

I told Scott when I brought the Rialta in that the serpentine belt had just been changed (about 300 miles before I brought it in). I asked him to double check it as someone had said that a noise it was making was related to the belt. When I picked up the car, Chapman had replaced the belt. They had noted pieces of one on the "cover/pan?", I was told. The old one was thrown away. I was told that there was nothing causing it to wear quickly. I wasn't charged, but something went very wrong. Either your service department replaced a brand new belt, (wouldn't they have examined the one they pulled out?) or they missed something that could cause me great inconvenience and/or danger in the near future (i.e. if there is something causing undue wear and tear on the belt).I now am going into rural Mexico, not knowing what to expect. The charge ($113) was removed from the bill but the anxiety cannot be removed. Carol Park

as always, richard coordinated the mechanics to take a very thorough look, they found the problems that i had indicated and he made sure that everything would be fixed to the best result. when it became clear that the car had to stay in for a few days, he coordinated smoothly for us to get a rental. also, he always kept me up-to-date about the progress. you just feel that you are in careful and diligent hands! even though our warranty will soon run out, we plan to come back.

I was going out of town in 48 hours when my ABS light was flashing and my brakes would pump back when I depressed the pedal. Richard got me in that day and had my car looked at which was great! Unfortunately they were not able to find anything wrong with it and the problem continued throughout my road trip to CA. It has seemed to since resolve, though.

Since visiting this dealer for basic maintenance I have had one problem after another. Their service reps are almost impossible to get a hold of (especially when they have your car) and make no effort to contact you and let you know what is going on. Unfortunately there is no other dealer except in Phoenix or El Paso, so we're stuck.

When i first started looking for a car i was looking into a new GTI when i asked for a quote they said it would be $300 more than the MSRP. Well the quote they gave me was over 1000 more than the MSRP according to VW at the time. Well i ended up buying my VW at Lesueur Auto Co in Tempe for a much better price, well when i got back home to Tucson i started having a few problems with the car and i called to find out what was left on the factory warranty as soon as i mentioned the word warranty i was redirected through their phone lines to dead ends or flat out hung up on. When i had to take my car there for another problem they wouldnt give me a loner car just their shuttle service, they told me that they would have it done by that afternoon but called me right before they closed to say it had to stay over night when i told them it was my only mode of transportation and if they told me it would be done that afternoon it better be done. they were pretty mad but they finished the work. But when they did their "test drive" they claim to have put 3 miles on the car when in fact they put well over 20. The last time I had to go there was after they changed from beaudry to Chapman when it came time for the receipt of what they founf wrong and what they fixed....they claimed they had to mail me the copy. well the copy they were going to mail me had writing on the back and they sent one with nothing on the back. When i questioned this they assured me they would send the original but once again sent me another one blank on the back. Do not by a car from them because if you email them to ask for a quote on mainenance they will just tell you to buy a car their instead of fixing it. Someone needs to open a more reputable VW dealership in tucson because its either take it here or drive 100 mile to phoenix.

These guys should be called Hoover Volkswagen because they suck so bad. Just one of many stories: Took VW Cabrio in for warranty issue with heated seats not working at all...<br>Visit 1: Could not duplicate problem.<br>Visit 2: Must have ambient temperature below 60 degrees or something stupid. Said it was a "safety feature". (yeah ok)<br>Visit 3: Brought in early on a winter morning. Diagnosed problem as dash switch. Ordered part.<br>Visit 4: Service advisor called when part came in a couple weeks later and scheduled visit. When I picked up the car, I was told they could not duplicate the problem. That's funny jackass, then why did order a part?? After the service advisor looked up my history (what is their job, anyway?) supervisor was engaged and went looking for the part. It took him less than 30 seconds to pop out the old switch and plug in the new one. I bet you can guess that it didn't work. <br>Visit 5: Diagnosed as wiring harness. Ordered part. <br>Visit 6: A couple weeks later the part came in and they installed it. What do you know? My ass is warm finally. Only took a year guys!<br>Note: On each visit, they rarely called to say my car was ready. When they did, it was around 5pm - only giving me thirty minutes to get across town to pick it up. Once, I drove down without calling, only to find out my car was there all day and not finished. Who knew? They never call when it is ready. And when I'd call, they'd get annoyed like "uh yeah, it's been ready since 10 o'clock this morning" in a tone like 'why is it still here'? Their quality survey caller supposedly logged my complaints, but no one ever bothered to follow up. <br><br>Volkswagen AG - if you're reading this... Please help. I can't bring myself to get a Toureg knowing this is the service I have to look forward to....<br>
