I had an excellent experience at Colonial Ford! I just bought a beautiful 2017 Mustang ruby red GT Premium. I love the car. Everyone at Colonial Ford was nice and friendly. I live in NJ and took me over 2 hours to get to this dealership but it was well worth the long trip. The salesman Rick was very good and helpful with everything and held the car for me until I was able to get there. The finance people also did their best to get the best deal possible. I would recommend Colonial Ford to anyone. Thank You Very Much!

It seems that COVID has brought out the best and not so good in people. We were looking at the new Bronco for my wife last Saturday and we were told that it's available by order only and the wait time is up to 1 1/2 years. Well, there was a "model" inside the showroom that we were told is there for people to order from and as such, was not for sale. The vehicle is nice at about $42,000, and my wife showed obvious interest. After a few minutes, the salesman approached my wife after talking to someone and told her that she can buy the model but she had to wait 5 months to take it from them. PLUS, the pricer will be LIST PLUS AN EXTRA $5000!! When asked about this, the salesman said it's about supply and demand. In all honesty, I answered that with my own comment, "it's about greed". It is such a shame that this can happen and while I know any dealer can put any price on any vehicle, it is rather sad to me that based on my wife's obvious interest in the vehicle, suddenly there's a $5000 surcharge. Come on guys, getting full list price is in itself a great profit and to add an extra $5000 is plain out greedy, seriously. I wish this didn't happen because we really wanted to work with Colonial, yet after what I consider to be unethical greedy behavior by them, I cannot do business like that. I hope car dealers try to stay honest in these times and prove that we are all trying to get through this together.

Traveling for a family vacation I ran over an object on the road that hit the under carage protector pulling out a bolt. Stopped by and they quickly took us in and fixed it fast to get us back on the road. Amazing team and service!

I took my brand new F150 2021, to do the 10k miles service and also to check the transmission that was passing the gears in a non-smooth way. after a few hours they called me saying the car was ready, saying that the transmission problem was just updating the computers. just to be sure i asked about the 10k miles service, they said they didn't, so they asked for a few more hours and called me saying it was ready. I went to get the car, extremely dirty, the windows not working, misaligned steering and the same transmission problem! So we called again telling them about the new problems and the old one that wasn't fixed, the guy treated us like idiots and said he would only have days available in two months. This is the worst dealer, they don't care about your problem and solving them

I purchased my 2011 F-250 from a Ford dealer in the Watertown area. Within one year there was an electrical problem (air bag light). That dealer had my truck for three days and could not solve the problem. Ultimately, I gave up on them and put up with additional minor problems they created. Recently I brought the truck to Colonial for 60,000 mile service, front suspension work and, perhaps they could fix that original electrical problem. Mechanic Bobby identified the work believed to be required. Service rep called with explanation of work and price estimate. Solving the electrical problem turned out to be far more complicated than thought. Many additional houres were spent by this talented mechanic. No craftsman likes to repair other peoples' mistakes. However, Bobby solved the problem and I was pleasently surprised that the bill was only what was estimated. I was not charged at all for the many extra hours required to complete the work. Nice!

My husband and I can't say enough about Colonial Subaru. Christer is the most knowledgeable, helpful and friendliest sales rep we ever had buying a car. Never bought a car by myself before, Stephen helped a friend of mine get her car, so he actually came very highly recomended. I thought the whole process was very efficient, Stephen gave me all the information I needed about the car I bought, explained the whole process of buying a car, showed me all the features the car has and I just loved how relaxing it was. Only complaint is the internet advertised price was not available because I chose the 0%/6yr dealer financed option. The advertisement was misleading. I love the truck I purchase, and the buying experience was great. Walked in without an appointment and was greeted by our salesman Rick Almeida. A friendly, attentive guy. Showed us an Escape on the showroom floor, it was a platinum edition with all of the options. He said he had an SE outside with almost all of the options of the Platinum for a lot less money. Took that for a drive and my wife and I really liked it. Rick told us that this car had an extra $1000 dollar rebate on it from Ford and a $500 Labor Day rebate for a total of $3950 in rebates. He asked where we looked before and we told him that we just came from a Jeep dealer and we weren't happy about our trade amount. The sales manager upgraded our trade value by a $1000. Rick figured out the numbers and we agreed to purchase the car.Every email and phone call to Rick was promptly returned. When we picked up the car he explained how everything worked and synced my wife's phone to the car. A very painless experience especially since we haven't purchased a new car in 12 years. Car even came with a full tank of gas. Only issue was that once I brought the car home and had it in the garage I noticed a lot of tree sap and water marks on the hood. The car is black. I had to clay bar, polish and wax the hood to get rid of them. Car was a 2016 leftover so it was outside for a while. Not a huge deal but something that should have been addressed.

Service deptartment is incompetent - can't even do an oil change correctly. They left the filter loose and oil leaking. Also installed filter incorrectly and they lost a screw so they drilled a screw in sideways and destroyed the center clip. When I called they seemed completely uninterested - not even an apology they just told me to call back on Monday.

I have probably purchased more than 15 vehicles in my lifetime. I have never worked with a car dealership more professional, thorough, and timely than Colonial Ford. Stephen Z. is unlike so many other car salesmen out there who bully you with sales pitches and follow up phone calls. Stephen is a genuinely kind and unassuming gentleman, who listened well and stuck with us to guide us to find the right Ford F150. There was no sales pitch, and we didn't feel pressured or rushed at any time. Stephen was patient and kind to our rambunctious and loud 3-year old, Owen, as we worked through the purchasing process. He made us feel relaxed and comfortable the entire time. My family had plans to go on vacation a few days after we purchased the truck. Stephen took care of everything to make sure that our "green gem" was Simonized, shiny, spotless, and ready to roll the day after we got back. He made sure a new bed liner (compliments of Colonial Ford) and the new tri-fold tonneau cover that we ordered were installed. Stephen even worked in cahoots with me while I was away, and he helped me to surprise my husband with an early anniversary present by adding a bed extender. He texted me with the information I needed from his personal phone after hours and sent me pictures of the truck to assure me that my surprise would go off without a hitch. We had a great experience at Colonial Ford. We walked in thinking about purchasing a new truck and walked out a few hours later having done so. Well I can tell you right now I will never ever buy another car from anybody else. Steven is a true person of character. I bought a car from him the money you were gone and he found the car to fit me he didn't try to fit me into a car. I have never had that experience with buying a car before so when I was hit and my car was totaled I picked up the phone and called Steven. Here again on me a car just like my old one which I loved. I noticed an ad for a CPO Focus online at this dealer. I spoke with Frank Cuccia, who was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I could only shave 500 off the advertised price, but there was a noticeable lack of gimmickery that so many dealerships offer. We talked price first, and only then financing. I wouldn't hesitate to send a friend there if they have Ford in mind.

We had no plans or budget to purchase a vehicle this year until the transmission of our old and dependable Ford Explorer suddenly gave out and it made sense to invest that substantial repair money into a certified pre-owned vehicle. We were very pleased with the 2 Ford Explorers we owned in the past and found a few pre-owned Escapes of interest on the Colonial Ford website. My wife and I set up a meeting with Mark Paladino who we knew from purchasing and servicing vehicles from his former dealership in the past and explained our interests. He set us up with Tom Spegnolo who could not have been more friendly and thorough in having us test drive a couple of different vehicles and providing a detailed explanation of the various features while showing remarkable patience in listening and answering all of our questions. In the end, Mark guided us to the vehicle that had the best history of those we were interested in and was able to help us with the price which closed the deal. My wife and I discussed how the experience we just had was more like dealing with family rather than having a difficult time dealing with car salesmen. We are very pleased with the Escape we now own and with the ease and very pleasant experience with the entire process from beginning to end. After hitting a deer last week and pretty much totaling my 2005 Ford Five Hundred (which was purchased at Colonial Ford) we began our search for our next car. We were enticed by a local dealership offering a $4,000 trade in despite the condition of the car due to not having much to put down, but ended up leaving due to the poor taste in Employees working there. I received about 15 calls following our visit to their dealership feeling more pressured than ever before. And I must admit, it ALMOST worked... Steve had a totally different approach. He was kind, patient, honest and most importantly easy to work with. We were indecisive and I am sure tested his patience at least once or twice, but not once did he make us feel uncomfortable or uneasy about a big purchase like buying a car... In fact, when we asked for his opinion "as a friend" as we put it, he gave us his... Even though it was the cheaper of the two cars we were looking at. At the end of the day, we ended up buying the more expensive car, with a great deal that he went out of his way to get for us... Thanks to Bob as well.My husband is not easily impressed, but even he said, any time we need to look for a car, we will always start our search at Colonial Ford.. And hope to work with Steve again.

I originally went to Colonial (a 45 minute drive away) because they were the closest Ford dealer participating in the Costco Auto Program. Rick Almeida was the salesperson who contacted me. As soon as I walked in, the sales manager Bob offered to get me coffee. Rick BEAT the Costco pre-negotiated price, even though I would have probably been satisfied with the Costco pricing. Rick was extremely patient as I reached out to my wife and children to get their input on two different cars. When I came to pickup the car, Bob got me coffee again (remembering how I took it) and Rick spent whatever time was required to explain the features of our new Explorer, install the all-weather mats and install the cargo screen. All-in-all, a very positive experience.

Thank God my moms prayers were answered. I was driving a 2004 VW beetle before today. Though I loved the car, idk I wanted something safer/more reliable/not a pain to fix. I've had a lot going on so my parents went in the dealership for me. I'm so blessed we got Kevin Elston as our sales person. I've been into the dealership before and it's easy to get intimidated. I did not feel that way with Kevin, not even a little bit. He kept it real, didn't try and sell me something I didn't want/couldn't afford. Not to mention his personality had my parents, boyfriend, and myself laughing at ease. He didn't even care how much we made him annoy his boss for a better trade in rate for the VW. He went back 3 times until we got the price my dad & boyfriend were bargaining for. I'm so surprised too I would've happily taken the first offer but men know better at this stuff I guess ;D He was fanstastic idk another way to say it!! Also Jason, who did all the financial stuff was excellent and very thorough. My mom and I were actually following along with everything & when I comes to cars, it's hard for us to do. But he explained everything so well, again didn't try to sell me stuff I would later regret. He even gave my mom morgage advise lol. Before today I hated car dealerships & sales people but so happy I found these two that look out for our better interest. Thank you SO MUCH Colonial Ford <3 and to Kevin & Jason. You made me so happy ;D I hope who ever is reading this goes and gives them a visit asap because I promise you won't regret it!!

the dealership had many certified pre owned vehicles of the type I was looking for. when I walked through the door I was greeted and asked if I needed help. tom the salesman took care of me and showed me the cars I was interested in. he was very knowledgeable about every option in the vehicles. He immediately found a replacement and I now have a brand new Ford Fiesta. The car is full of features that I still have to learn, but Tom said to call him anytime I need something explained. Appoximately 3 weeks ago I was scheduled to get an oil change on my Ford Fusion and entered the sales portion of Colonial Ford of Danbury instead of the service department. Upon my arrival, I was met by a staff member who informed me of my GPS error. They proceeded to get a tech and pulled the car to the service side. While i grabbed a drink of water, I was approached by Darren Beylouni. He asked if i was being taken care of and I replied yes and then mentioned that I was also in search of a new van for my company.Darren proceeded to introduce me to Kevin Elston and assured me I was in good hands. I described the type of van I was looking for and Kevin proceeded to look through their inventory. They found a new 2016 Ford Transit that they had in stock, after test driving the vehicle I informed Kevin of my budget, which unfortunately the new Transit did not fit in. I told Kevin my max dollar amount and mileage on a used transit that would be acceptable. Twenty minutes later, he and Darren had found a match. It was actually to easy, I wasnt quite prepard, at this juncture Kevin explained that they are in business to make deals happen not to waste anyones time. I really appreciated this direct line of communication.When the vehicle shipped Kevin let me know that there was a few scratches to the interior counsel and that they had dropped the price several hundred dollars to adjus, from this point moving forward Kevin went out of his way to keep me informed of some mechanical and cosmetic work being done to bring the vehicle up to a very high standard. I cant say enough how impressed Iwas with the entire staff at Colonial Ford. There is a serious lack of professional customer service these days, but Colonial Ford aspires to buck that trend. In our busy lives we often miss these opportunities to thank the people who actually make our lives easier and help us towards our goals.I"d like to thank Colonial Ford and especially Kevin Elston in moving me 1 step closer to my business goals.

I had just lost my first car after only 7 months of ownership and was in a huge bind. I needed a car to be able to get to my job every day relaiably. I found a deal at CF that I couldnt pass up. 2011 Focus SE with only 35k miles on it for under $10,000. My father and I worked with Mike on the deal and it was great. Mike & Jason(if i'm correct) made it so simple and easy. Given that you already understand how you're going to pay for the car, the entire process can be over in a matter of hours. Plus, I live in NY and i didnt have to go through any hoops. The CF team sent me my registration documents in the mail after 3 business days. I couldn't be happier with how things have worked out. After driving about 500 miles in the new car already, its running just as great. Feels almost brand new. They found s few issues and even needed to change the brakes and they took care of it all with time to spare. As well the agent accidentally charged for the oil change which is part of our Lease. We were 5 mile's down the road and my son notice a crack in the upper right corner of the windshield. I called Bill that day and was told that the truck was pre certified so it was my problem. I ask for the manager to call me, I have called back a number of times and left a message to call me and still after a week no call back from Colonial Ford.

We have had the great pleasure of purchasing our new Fords from Mike for over two decades now and it has been a pleasure from the start. I bought my Focus at your dealership. Happy with car, wish it had a rear window washer and the key area lighted for night time use. I like dealing with Steve C.for service work and will try to go to his office when I need service. Hopefully the recall on my transmission fixed the jerky shifting, it was scary driving in stop and go traffic. I was unaware of the new style transmission my car has. I never heard of a dual clutch transmission and I'm somewhat of a car guy. The car is preforming much better and I hope it's fixed for good. I do wish that you had more rental cars available. We live in Pawling and it takes quite a time for two of us to deliver and pick up car. I would gladly pay $25 to $30 for a overnight rental. Scott

I purposely dropped the car off overnight and indicated I desired an 11am pick-up, however when I called to check on the car at 9am it has not yet been checked. I approved the repairs up to 500 on the sheet, so I was not called with a quote. I found it interesting they clearly read that detail, but not my pick-up time. The car was finished satisfactorily shortly after 12pm.

We made an appointment one week in advance but despite that, we had to wait almost two hours for our car to have the oil changed. One associate was not very communicative, but when the two hour mark was approaching and my husband spoke with another associate, he was very apologetic and actually didn't charge us for the oil change. So my feedback would be to stick to your schedule, but they certainly focused on the customer experience by not charging us for the service visit. They turned around the experience - thank you!

I was recently in the market to purchase or lease a new car and was very interested in a Ford vehicle. I had spoken with Mark Palladino in the past and he told me when I was ready to buy, to come on in...so my boyfriend and I came in on Black Friday at 9:00 a.m. We were fortunate enough to get hooked up with Pat Stavola who listened to my wants/needs, discussed an Escape and a Fusion and test drove both. After the test drive and discussion with Pat, it was a no brainer - I was going with the Fusion. It has everything I wanted and more! The car is awesome and has so many cool features including voice commands for everything, an over-the-top navigation system and heated seats AND steering wheel. I went with black with the light interior and it's a beautiful car!Pat was great to deal with...Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and he definitely got me in the right car for me. Bill in finance was also terrific to deal with. When you need a new car, go see Pat, he'll hook you up!!!

I brought my car in for service. Unfortunately I did not read my bill before I had left. They had rotated my tires and discovered that I had a nail in one of my tires. I called when I got home and asked why I wasn't told about this while I was there. I was told that they are not allowed by remove them that I would have to go to a gas station. I think there needs to be more communication between the service technicians and the customer.

Went to colonial ford to get a "check air suspension" light fixed. Had my car for 4 days. They didn't keep me updated on the repairs even after i called numerous times to call me back about how much the repairs would be. Finally called me on the fourth day saying my vehicle was fixed, this all the while i had no idea what was diagnosed wrong with my car or how much it was to fix. Turns out it was a hefty bill which i found out when i went to pick up my vehicle. Thought the problem was fixed but when i drove my vehicle around for about a week the "check air suspension' light came back on. Will never use this facility again.

.After I had totaled my F150 STX 2010 model, I was on line checking on trucks and price's, I had found a truck in Texas that was interesting, and one in Buffalo NY, But then I came across this Dandy of a Truck In Danbury CT. I bought the Freestyle from you. I have had it serviced at the recommended intervals. It has been the best car I owned over the 155000 miles I have driven it. The staff and the work has been great. I would gladly buy another Freestyle but Ford doesn't make it any more. Since the other vehicles Ford makes don't fit our needs I will have to look to other car manufacturers. It is a shame since I have had such great service with Ford.

I brought my Ford Fusion in for it's first service...approx. 4000 mi. In addition, there was a recall notice regarding Steering Gear Motor Bolt corrosion; so appt was for both. Ford sent me an email confirming my appointment. I meet with Rick Flachbart in Service. Prior to going over what was to be done; I showed Rick two areas on my new Fusion (purchased in April '15) that I was concerned about. He was great in explaining things; and had both my concerns looked into. We set up a secondary appt thru the Body Shop guys to realign the gap I saw in my hood, and offered me a loaner car. I have to say his response & offer of a loaner was a pleasant surprise. He also told me how to submit for the rebate offered on my service...which was easy & I already received a confirm that my $10 rebate would be coming in a few weeks. Great experience. Thank you.

I purchased a 2016 Fusion Hybrid and I love it !! The MPG is insane ! Mostly high 40's low 50's on average, but have also had even much higher numbers. Also very very comfortable and just a joy to ride in.The staff at Colonial Ford was excellent. My salesperson Jim had a very calm well mannerism about him that helped ease my anxiety about purchasing a new vehicle. The General Manager Mark also came by each time I was there to speak with me and shake my hand. I felt like I was really being treated the way a person should be when making a decision on a new vehicle. Bill Johnson in finance was also wonderful. Purchased an F-150 earlier in the year. Great salesman, Don Bashack. Vehicle is great, towing an 8,000 pound fifth wheel with it. Does well but don't like the shudder on initial acceleration. I know the manual says to expect it.I would like to be able to speak to the mechanics that work on the vehicle. They often have good insights.Overall, was ontime, as promised ... good job!

The staff and actual work done was excellent. However there should be a better check in system. No one was in the room to check you in... leaving several of us there not knowing what to do. Some people were angry because others were taken ahead of them. I was told there usually is a greeter however they were "pulled" to another location. This did result in a lot of us waiting longer than we should have.

I have a certified pre-owned Focus. Nice car! This was a 30,000 mile service. There were a few things done that I am not sure needed to be done like flushing the transmission at 30,000 miles. When I mentioned to a mechanic friend that this was done his comment was that this is still a new car and did not need to be done. I wish I had looked at the owners manual for recommended service before okaying this expensive ($469.00) service. I like this dealership and have bought 3 cars from there but I need to really pay attention more.

It was a pleasure to go into a nice clean service area. The gentlemen that helped me was very nice. I had a chip on the back door and ask if they could touch this up as I was a pin hole but noticeable. I was not happy as they touched it up but it was not flat. it was like a splatter of paint. I let the customer service person know and look at it. He was very nice & had made a note on my file which I thought was the right thing to do. I had no complaints about the experience. Steve, after all this....almost 2 months 4 phone calls (never returned) 4 trips to the service dept....you gave me the wrong boltsI sort of thought it odd about all the talk about having to get a kit, what was that plastic piece in the bag, but what do I know....this is your area of expertise. Obviously frustrated when I tried to install it on Saturday in the rain, I gave my New Hampshire dealer (purchase location) a call....shoot us a picture oh, just a tailgate bolt....well send one to ya Monday morning...arrived today (7-22-15)...perhaps what you guys ordered had something to do with that ladder and support stand option, but gee whilikers....THE TRUCK WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU1) how difficult could it had been to remove a tail gate bolt from an existing stock inventory vehicle even to just check2) why did it merely sit , ignored on the counter for days....a simple phone call could have solved the PO Box and Residential Address dilemma3) I never did receive the USPS delivery anyway to this day "N O T H I N G"Not a major deal, I suppose, and you guys will continue on your merry way. I'm very busy so usually buy cars online which I did hear. With the assistance of General Manager Mark Paladino we were able to find the exact car I'd "Built" on the Ford website and he quoted a price that I knew to be very fair. I submitted the credit check over the phone and we picked up the car a couple days later. The car was ready and waiting and they spent at least an hour reviewing all the features. The finance people were very courteous and did not aggressively sell extended warranties and other such extras. It was an overall extremely pleasant experience.

Someone referred me to Tom Spegnolo at Colonial Ford. I just had a bad experience at another dealership and Tom was highly recommended. I had never heard of Colonial Ford nor had I done any research at all about them, I just went on a referral with the expectation of calling with a few quick questions, but turned into a conversation with Tom. I visited the next day because I was impressed and comfortable with phone conversation I had with Tom. I found him, and test drove a 2015 F150 Crew Cab within 10 minutes of arrival to dealership. I loved it and told Tom I wanted the best possible deal. I originally came in for used, but this truck had everything I wanted. Tom found all possible rebates and he gave me a really great deal, so I couldnt resist. I never felt pressure; it was all informative. I was also impressed with the great pricing I received without having to haggle for endless hours, I was in and out driving home in my new truck within 4 hours, when I had no intention on buying that day -- very happy I did. We walked into the dealership and had the Costco price given to us immediately. The price was great. No sales pressure was given. We had to order our F250 from the factory which was no problem for Colonial. We were even able to make a small modification to our order several days later. Another great experience at Colonial Ford and with my salesman Dave Gillotti. I've dealt with Dave for at least 15 years. And as usual I got the call about trading in my truck, because Dave knows how to time it when it's time to trade. After 20 years of pick up trucks I bought an Edge this time around. Dave helped with the entire process. He even let me take one home to make sure both dogs fit in the rear cargo area. They did, so there was no need for an Explorer. Dave found me the Edge that fit my needs and delivered it on time. Mark Paladino also helped with the dollars and Bill Johnson as usual steered me in the right direction with the financing. My husband and I went to Colonial Ford because we found out Mark Paladino was the General Manager. I the past, we had purchased many autos from him at Mark Ford and were always happy with their service. We intended to see 4 Ford Explorers and simply make a choice based on cost. However having visited Colonial Ford we decided that it was the dealership for us. They had the cars as promised and did not just advertise fictitious cars just to get you in, and secondly they were professional from the moment we walked in till we left. I was very impressed with the lack of "high pressure" salesmanship. Tom Spegnolo was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable. Words cannot express how disappointed i am with Colonial Ford of Connecticut. I have had several conversations with Mr. Mike Myer in reference to an Infiniti I was interested in. I explained to Mr. Myer I would be purchasing the car in full, which included a check from a bank and the remainder in cash. Mr. Myer then had to discuss with his manager whether or not this was doable. After speaking with his manager, he called me back and informed me they could make this happen. Our next conversation consisted of Mr. Myer trying to get me to fill out an application through their dealership to see if i could be approved through their bank they "prefer" to use. I explained, again, this was not something i wanted to do and wished to proceed with what was originally discussed. He proceeded to give me multiple reasons why he did not want to do it my way, none of which were good reasons to me. Mr. Myer was rude and, eventually, hung up in my face. I'm going to assume this behavior from your staff is not tolerated, and I would like to receive a call back from Mr. Myer's supervisor so that I may have a better understanding of why my original deal fell through and why I was treated with such disrespect. I just purchased a used (sorry, "pre-owned") 2013 Ford C-max Energi fro Colonial Ford. First, this dealer has the largest selection of vehicles of the many Ford dealers within 50 miles. They were the only ones with used C-max Energi models, and they had several new 2014 Fusion Energi in addition to 2015 versions of both cars. Tom Spegnolo is very nice and won't try to sell you more car than what is right for you. He was honest, assessed my needs, and made an honest recommendation, when he stood to make a larger commission off of a more expensive car.We encountered a couple of glitches, but they were corrected quickly. First, their website advertised the vehicles as "certified," but then it turned out they weren't officially "certified." They corrected this and sold the car as "certified." Then, when I picked up the car, Tom gave me his car's key instead of the second set of keys to my car. The mechanic also left the charging cord in the workshop. The same afternoon, Tom drove to meet me, after he finished work, to give me the correct key and the charging cord. He didn't make excuses. He just said "sorry," fixed the issue, and went on his way.It would be great if everything were 100% correct from the start, but these guys recognized their mistakes, owned up to them, then quickly corrected them. That's pretty good, too.

My sales guy Don Bashak was like buying a car from family. He could not have been any more accommodating and wanted to make sure I was in the right car verse just selling me any car. The owner even came out and greeted himself and also made sure this was the best buying experience . I spent months researching high and low for the best deals on the Internet and it ended up being right in my back yard at this dealer. I would feel comfortable sending my elderly mother in to work with these 2 because it was a genuine experience. I look forward to working with this dealer going forward and I feel confident in saying I will be a repeat customer. I feel I got my dream car at a price that could not be beat. I made a quick stop at Colonial, (I was on my way to purchase an Acura) deciding to stop and take a look. I fell in love with the Explorer. I had been out kicking tires on new vehicles, I really wasn't sure who was out there that would fit my needs. After test driving a few models it was ford's turn, Tom at Colonial showed me what was available and let me test drive a couple. The Ford Edge is the car I decided on. Tom made sure that I got everything I wanted in the vehicle and since I wanted to enhance the interior with a custom wood dash kit he put me in touch with the people that would install the wood kit. The car is fantastic, the interior is rich and inviting with the rosewood dashboard not to mention the greatly increased gas milage compared to my old vehicle. Thanks Tom

From the start, Tom was very friendly and willing to share all the information he had on the vehicle. Once Ford started to take orders in May, Tom immediately contacted me. He walked me though the process with great detail and the order was placed. He kept me informed about where the car was at in the process the entire length of time it took to take delivery. Once the vehicle showed up at the dealership, I got the phone call and stopped by that evening to see it. We entered the dealership and were not sure if we were going to buy that day or not, but ended up leaving with a 2013 Ford Explorer. Our sales man, Tom Spegnolo was just what we needed. He gave us all of the information we needed, but did not make us feel pressured, which is something I do not like. He was able to take care of everything so that we could leave that day with the car, including having it detailed, the oil changed and all our paperwork in order. He also checked in with me a few days later to see how the new car was through text. This may seem like something silly to mention, but being busy, as most of us are, it was easier to respond to him via text rather than a phone call. My husband and I really appreciated his approach to sales. I will be recommending Colonial Ford and Tom to anyone looking for a car and plan on visiting him again when I'm due for another Explorer.

I just finished my transaction with Don last week. No pressure to buy, in fact I left the first day as we were not able to work a deal that I was comfortable with. However, Don and staff took the time to understand why I wanted the truck and that motivated them to find a way to make it work. The next day was a new month and there were new incentives. With these new incentives Don and team were able to put together a deal that was right where I needed it to be. That day I went back and bought the truck. Great job to Don and staff for not pushing, being understanding of the situation and working to get the deal together. If I had to sum up the experiance in one word it would be Professional! I walked into Colonial not knowing what to expect or where to start, but Stephen Zavatski made it all very simple and easy for me! I told him what car I was interested in and we went from there! He made my first time car buying experience fantastic. He took a lot of time with me and my decision about the car. All of my questions were answered with ease and patience! He even made points on things that I was forgetting about! Never did I feel he was pushing or simply "selling" me the car. I went in to colonial Ford back in March looking to purchase an edge. But due to some issues with my negative equity on my trade in and wanting lower payments he suggested the escape. Unfortunately it still wasn't possible. Don was wonderful showing me other options and taking a lot of time with me. He is very knowledgeable and answers all my questions. He wasn't even upset when I ended up not getting anything. Then I came back to Don 4 months later and drove him crazy(even though he won't admit it) with even more questions then the first time. He showed me many more escapes and I ended up taking home my 2014 escape yesterday!!!!!! Don was always available, returned my calls promptly when he wasn't, even didn't get mad when I texted him on his day off with a question. Then, like a sweet MAN, came in on his day off so I could take delivery of the escape because my schedule didn't allow me to do it when he was there. Thank you SOOOO MUCH DON AND THE COLONIAL FORD TEAM! I recommend Don Bashak and colonial Ford for all your vehicle purchases they go above and beyond and Don really dose care. No gimmicks just real people.

I have been a loyal customer for years! The experience I had with Darren (owner) and how I was told by him, he wanted my vechicle( trade) didn't want to drive it, look in it etc.... Knew I took care of it and was a repeat customer every couple of years.This guy wouldn't even talk to me after he gave his salesman a quote that he would offer! The offer was an embarrassment and the car I was interested in, he negotiated $300+ off a used car!! I was told he would contact me and after that didn't happen, I will contact him and tell him, I went to a competitor and bought the same car, less mileage for considerably cheaper!! Pat Stavola, Internet Sales Mgr., was my original contact via internet & phone. He was very helpful, courteous, and didn't pressure us at all. He gave my wife & I the keys to the car we were interested in, and told us to take a nice test drive to check out the car. He handled all the details regarding buying the car, & taking in our trade-in , well - on a Saturday! Afterword, when we called from home re: leaving the garage door opener, he returned to the dealership, found the remote, and had it mailed it back overnight to us.

I walked into Colonial Ford knowing exactly what pre owned car I wanted, down to the year, make model, color and options. I wanted what I wanted and they did not have it in their pre owned inventory. Many dealers would have basically said "tough luck" wait and see if we get something in on trade you want. Not Colonial Ford, my salesman said "what do you want, we will get it for you". It was no small deal, I wanted something very very specific and I had been researching the car for a year so I knew it was a rare find. It took all of 3 days for Colonial Ford to find my dream vehicle! Not only did they find it, with the couple of specific options I wanted, they found one that actually had ALL the options that make and model could have. On top of that the price was better than any competitor I had been researching. I have had the car a few days now and Tom had said, even though the sale is done, if you ever need anything for the car or have questions, etc you call me. I have reached out to him with a few minor needs (one manual misisng, help with Sirius) and have received prompt assistance.Will I recommend Colonial Ford and Tom Spegnolo; you betcha!!

My wife and I had been nonchalantly looking for a new or used vehicle. We had our minds set on a Ford Flex since we had rented one a couple of years ago. The only requirement was to be somewhat new and have AWD for the winter months. We we're close to going on vacation and we were going to rent an SUV that was going to cost us about $2000 for two weeks. I started looking online for a car and found a FF located in Danbury that was a year old with 21k miles on it. I inquired on the vehicle through Colonials' website and received feedback from Pat Stavola the next day. He sent a couple emails over the next week and tried to call me once. I was doing some travelling that week so I didn't have a chance to get back to him for about a week and a half. Not once did I feel like Pat was in a rush.My wife and I setup an appointment with Pat at 9am on a Weds. Pat was very accommodating and came in on his day off of work. He brought the car up and we took it for a test drive. When we got back he went over all of the paperwork with us. The brakes on the car were a bit rough due to the rotors being oxidized (you could see it). Pat wanted to have the car prepared for pick up on the next day but we requested it be ready ASAP. The car was prepared for us including the polishing of the rotors by 4pm. We arrived back at Colonial and met with Bob Johnson for our financing which went real smooth. After that Jose Ramos who was equally as pleasant as Pat, went over all of the car features and took down notes for a couple of items that had to be ordered. One being a floor mat and the other being a seat belt cover for the mount. On top of that our FOBS were missing their respective mechanical keys and they were placed on order for us.After all was said and done the deal went really smooth and we would not hesitate to do future business with Colonial Ford.

My wife and I were looking for a very specific vehicle. They similar ones on the lot but not exactly what we were looking for. Don and Jose went above and beyond to locate the vehicle we wanted. It was about 98 percent of what we were looking for. We had visited other dealerships but Colonial was the only one to follow through. I found my Ford Focus on-line (the exact color, style, everything I was looking for) at the website of Colonial Ford. I went to Colonial Ford to" look", considering a Ford Escape, I found one but it was already sold. The car was impressive and white. Don noticed how disappointed I was and gently suggested different vehicles. I was not interested until he casually pointed out the Ford C Max.At first I said to myself OH NO, then Don started gently giving me the low down on the mileage and how it functions. I deep down inside wanted a gas efficient vehicle but I really didn't know what was out there. I took it for a ride and it drove Solid and I felt very comfortable in it.After a while I said I would think about it and was on my way. When I was getting into my own car I took another look at the C Max and said to my husband I want it NOW. I did buy it . It was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I get up to 26 electric miles and my mileage is reading 98.2 mpg. I fill my tank once a month for $44. Thanks Don!

I would like to say that Don Bashak took care of my concerns in a fast, competent manner. I purchased a certified pre-owned 2014 mustang convertible on Saturday March 22, 2014 in the afternoon. When I saw the botton for sirius radio I was happy because I was already a sirius subsriber, but Don check into it and told me it was not coming with the care, I understood that sirius radio was not available. But Don and myself were under the impression that I would be able to sync my phone. When I picked the car up on Monday we could not get the phone synced. I tried when I got home and still could not get it to work. I called Don and he told me to bring the car in. I came in on his day off and I brought the car to service. The gentlemen there came out and tried, no luck. He looked up the vin# and he told me that bluetooth was not available. Hard to believe that a 2014 car would not have it. So now I am disappointed now with the phone. I called Don and he came back to me and said that the dealership would split the cost with me to have the bluetooth and sirius installed at Sounds Incredible. So I dropped the car off again. Don called me later in the day to tell me the way he thought they would install the systems would not work, but had another option. I went and picked up my car and spoke with Don. I asked him if they could install my radio from my old car. He said yes. I again I brought my car back to the dealership and they brought my car to Sounds Incredible and they installed my sirius radio and bluetooth at NO cost to me. Completely happy that I have both in my car. So I told Don, the next time I see him it will be for an oil change.Don went of his way to make me happy. I'm HAPPY.

I went into the dealership to have a hose replaced on my 2001 Ford Expedition. While there I walked into the showroom and eyed a new 2014 Explorer. At that point, I met Don Bashak, he approached me and answered a few questions that I had about the 2014 Explorer models. He was extremely helpful and knowledgable in addressing my questions. He was not pushy, simply made me award that he was there to assist. Well, I wondered back to the service waiting room for a while to do some iPading. A bit later I found myself back looking at the same model in the showroom. Again, Don offered his assist if I needed anything or had questions. He conveyed to me that Colonial had several 2013 Explorer Certified Model on the lot. I had told him that I would not be interested in a NEW one, too much depreciation and overall cost. He presented to me the 2013 models they had. He asked what color I would desire if I was to even consider... I said black. He quickly showed me the specs on the one in inventory that he considered the best of the current lot. I went back to the service waiting room to attempt to kill the "bug" of trading my Expedition. I went back to Don and we started talking price. I told him that I would want undercoating and a trailer hitch. Before I knew it he drove me up to a local shop that does both. I spoke with the service guy there about my concerns and desires. Undercoating to reduce salt impact on metal and my requirement for a hitch. We went back to the showroom and finished negotations. Done deal. Now, let me tell you what I like about Don Bashak. As I stated, he was not pushy. He provided me the right amount of assistance (aka face to face and space). He did an excellent job of "reading me", providing the space I required. He was open and friendly and knew his products. I could tell by way he handled himself that he was not the typical car salesman, he was calm and direct and quite sure of himself. This gave me a very good feeling about how he would manage the sell and any required follow up afterwards. He did not tell me to trust him but through his actions and self confidence, he made me move forward in my decision to trade my Expedition faster than I would had with a lesser individual. Since the delivery he has followed up on everything outstanding. I have visited him several times during the couple of "To Dos" or follow up items. Don's character and presences have not changed which would be expected from others after a sell.Colonial is ver fortunate to have him on their staff! After some thorough research, I decided to take a closer look with the intention of surprising my wife as her Christmas gift. After glancing at the vehicle, I walked into the showroom and consider myself lucky that Jack was at his desk near the door, since my entire interaction with him was excellent! Some of the other salesmen seemed a little pushy/cranky - maybe it was just an off-day?Everyone I worked with was very professional and pleasant. I had started looking online for a 2012 Ford Escape and followed up with a visit to the local dealer I had gotten my last Ford from. They had only 1 available, which did not match the interior color I was seeking. I was told they would look around and get back to me. A week went by so I followed up. I found what looked like a perfect match and called to ask about it. My husband and I went to Colonial Ford in Danbury that afternoon. Don Bashak was friendly, informative, and easy going. He told us about the car and sent us off for a test drive. Don helped guide us through the entire process including a number of phone calls as we worked through financing options. He left detailed messages when we weren't available and got back to us almost immediately when he couldn't take our calls. The night we picked up the car, Don went above and beyond to be sure we were comfortable in the car before we left. He encouraged us to call with any questions about the car and truly seemed to care about our satisfaction. I recommend Colonial Ford and would suggest you ask for Don if you go. When the time comes to replace this car or get the truck my husband can't wait to buy, we won't hesitate to return their ourselves!

Don Bashak could not have been more friendly or helpful to me. From my initial visit through my final test drive, Don was informative, accomodating, flexible and extremely insightful. There was none of the hustle I have experienced with other dealers at other dealerships. Don is on the level, a very nice guy, and super friendly. I have purchased two brand new vehicles from Colonial Ford.Both were Ranger pick-ups (2001 and 2011) and on both occasions I dealt only with Bill Conley .Bill has always gone above and beyond to locate the exact vehicle and options I desired.The vehicles were always located and delivered on time and preped nicely.My trades were always fairly quoted and local market competitive.Bill always takes the time to explain options available,financing,warranty and make you feel comfortable with the purchase in general.My wife is due for a new vehicle this spring and Bill will be the first one I talk to.I have recomended Colonial and Bill Conley to numerous co-workers and everyone of them has thanked me for the help.Keep up the good work and please bring back the RANGER.

I was told about this dealer from a coworker who had a positive experience. After seeing an online offer for the car, I called Pat Stavola and worked out a deal. He took care of all the details and the insurance and plates. I arrived to pick up the car and Pat Stavola had everything prepared and spent about half an hour explaining the car's features. He is an excellent salesperson AND tutor in using all the computerized tools in the car! I highly recommend Pat to anyone who wants a straightforward honest deal. I just purchased a new fusion energy from Don Bashak. I'm pretty sure that I'm the most annoying customer he has, but he has been extremely patient and helped with all my issues in buying the new car. He didn't have the car I wanted on the lot, but he located one and had the deal done in less than 5 days. Joe was also extremely helpful and patient in going over some of my particular needs and financing questions. After buying the car he has been concerned that I am completely satisfied with my purchase. He pointed out a scratch on the vehicle and said not to worry that they would have it taken care of. He was very helpful in setting up an appointment right away and has always followed through on all of my concerns. The scratch has been repaired and I am loving my new Fusion Energi. When my lease is up I will be doing business with him again.

All the salesmen were perfect gentlemen, very cordial and heipful. This is my first try at leasing a vehicle and Tom Spegnolo was so helpful in explaining the different Ford Focus and Fusion models available. He took me on a few test drives and after 3 visits, I decided on the Fusion Energi for a 2 year lease. With the generous rebates included, the financial terms were OK. Years ago, I bought a Ford Probe and later, a Ford Taurus from Colonial. It's good to be back. Tom, with his great sense of humor, kept my husband and me entertained the entire time.

I am from the Albany, NY area. I was looking for a particular car and looked local first. Couldn't find a C-max Energi with no options in a particular color combinations. I found the car I wanted on Ford's inventory website. It was located at Colonial. I called the phone number. We worked on the numbers and agreed it wasn't the right time. Incentives increased and the car was within my budget so I agreed to lease the car.Pat worked out everything and took care of it all. Even though he was 2 hours away and in a different state, it was like he was a local dealer. The only difference was it took me 2 hours to go pick up the car. I wouldn't have been able to get this car for the price without them.

I found the dealership in an online search for a 2014 Ford Escape and took a ride (about an hour away) to test drive the vehicle. While the 2014 was a little out of my budget, Jose was able to focus on what I really wanted and got me into a new 2013 Escape. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Jose went through the car's features with me and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. All of my insurance paperwork was taken care of ahead of time, so when I had to pick up the car, I literally signed the contract and drove away.I highly recommend Jose and Colonial Ford!

From the moment we entered the dealership we were met with a friendliness and felt a sincere desire to help us from Don Bashak . The car we were most interested in seemed to be already sold but Don assured us if the deal happened to fall thru he would contact us. In the meantime, he called us about a few other cars he thought we would be interested in - which we were going to look at - but as luck would have it the original car became free - we came in for a test drive (...twice) and bought it with the help of Colonials finance dept. Purchased a 2010 used Honda Civic from Colonial Ford. Don Bashak was my salesperson. He not only gave me a great deal but he also inspected the car before I picked it up. He noticed that the lock on the trunk didn't work properly and the molding was scratched. He had them replaced for me. He also had a second key made because there was only on key. The radio in the car also had to reset. Awesome job Don. Thank you very much.

What a great experience! We were greeted immediately, and everyone in the showroom was polite and friendly. The showroom itself was clean and bright, and there was a snack station that had everything from coffee and tea to juice boxes for our kids! Pat, the Internet sales manager, was knowledgeable and friendly, and not at all overbearing. I never ever got a "sales" vibe from him. He handed us the keys to the vehicle we were interested in, and told us to take a nice long test drive to determine if it was the right vehicle for our family. We ended up not purchasing that vehicle, but I would still wholeheartedly recommend this dealership. As we continue our search, I will check back with them often to see if they have a vehicle that is right for us. Overall, they were outstanding and well worth the trip to Danbury!

We've dealt with this dealership before. My husband bought a 2007 Mustang he's still driving and he claims he'll never buy another car. So we know their service is good and the salesmen very knowledgable. I needed another SUV because we just got an Irish Wolfhound and my Subaru was just too small. The Explorer was perfect and Tom was great. He listened, really listened, to our story, found a vehicle which suited us perfectly. No pressure, just facts. Called my dealer on a Wednesday to talk about possibly trading in my 2010 Ford Focus for a bigger vehicle. On Saturday morning we drove from our house in Torrington to Danbury and within a short time drove out of the dealership with a 2013 Ford Fusion. Very happy with the vehicle being that we needed a car with a little more room. The salesman Pat Stavola was knowledgeable, helpful and overall great to work with. Throughout my car buying process, everyone at Colonial Ford was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. My salesman, Pat Stavola, was always reachable via email or phone for questions or updates. He responded to emails within an hour, even on weekends. Other dealers were a day or two with their replies. Once I purchased the car (Ford CMAX Energi), Pat spend almost an hour going through every button, feature, function, voice command, and computer menus until I was comfortable pulling out of the lot. I have always bought American made vehicles, and after my experience at Colonial, I am looking to make them my dealer of choice for any and all future purchases.

Brought my Escape into the dealer to address an air bag light and to fix a squeaky steering column that has been there since day one but had gotten worse after a service visit about a year ago. The air bag problem turned out to be a corroded wire harness, which was easy an inexpensive to fix. Unfortunately, it cost 2 hours of labor to analyze, identify and repair. There was a TSB on the steering column squeak that I'm very happy they were able to fix. But the labor cost was almost twice the cost of parts; an unfortunate reality. Overall, the service was top quality, the advisor was friendly, helpful and explained the diagnosis well. I'm happy that pesky squeak is gone. But, and this is why I avoid dealers for all but major and annoyance issues, I still feel dealers over charge for labor costs.

I have bought a lot of cars including other new Subarus, and I've never dealt with a salesman as helpful as Joe D'Ercole. He was terrific from start to finish--knows the cars, stuck with our budget, and did everything possible to make buying a car easy and painless for us. He even had time for us after we'd paid, and set up my Bluetooth for me before I drove away! I don't know if everyone there is as great, but I'd send my own mother to Joe D'Ercole.

While traveling from Maine to South Carolina my Explorer's break light began blinking. I was extremely nervous and spent the night in Danbury, then brought my car to Colonial Ford early the next morning. The dealership was wonderful, brought my car back and had it fixed all within two hours. Our older Subaru was destroyed by a falling tree in a recent storm. Faced with the immediate need for a new car we still chose to search extensively for a replacement. We looked at Colonial which is our local dealer but compared inventory and prices for all dealers within 75 miles. Joe D'ercole, our salesman, was able to put us into exactly the car we wanted and we literally wrapped up the deal and had our car within 45 minutes of choosing which one we wanted - and we drove it home the same day. He had a diverse inventory of used cars and beat everyone's price, including all of the so-called 'no negotiation, lowest price' bargain dealers in nearby states, where we had bought our last Subaru. The fact that we could chose from such a large inventory of gently used and very clean cars was a plus. This is our fourth Subaru and we will definitely purchase here again. A polite, knowledgeable and efficient dealership with a large inventory of high quality certified cars. Quite a change from business as usual at the other dealers.
