This was the most pleasant car buying experience we have ever had! No haggling, no high pressure, no bait and switch tactics like we have had to deal with from other car dealers, including local ones, in the past. They offered us a very fair price for our trade in (sight unseen) and were straight forward and above board on the exact amount we would owe in difference, with no hidden fees. The sales person, Andlee, was more than helpful in explaining the navigation system, all the controls, and even hooked up my Bluetooth before we left the dealership. Larry, in finance, had all the paperwork ready for us to sign, and we were on our way in no time. I would recommend this dealership and give them a 10 star rating if I could.

Sent my mother to Conklin for an oil pressure issue on her 2007 Avalanche. I have always been a fan of taking vehicles to dealers for odd or hard to diagnose problems because I assume they have a huge network of which to share information on problems they have had with their own vehicles. I expected Conklin to test the oil pressure sender, and if that had no issues test the oil pump. Instead the service advisor didn't list the concern correctly on the paperwork (instead of listing a dropped oil pressure she listed a dropped MPH and didn't even mention the pressure had dropped all the way to 0psi at an idle). With the information given the tech recommended replacing the oil pressure sender since the code was thrown for low oil pressure, and also recommended a few other things to clear the check engine light not related to the current issue. My mother accepted the repairs and $620 later still had the issue. I returned with my mother to the dealership speaking to the service advisor myself requesting to see the new paperwork after it was completed to insure no mistakes were made. The advisor also had me speak to the mechanic directly to be certain everything was clear. I felt confident the mechanic would determine the problem as he sounded very familiar with that particular engine. I might add the advisor had me sign the paperwork before vehicle was checked out clearly stating that was done every time. Indicating my mother would have had to do the same. (My mother says she didn't sign anything before her truck was worked on so I'll let you believe whomever you want to). I received a call later from the advisor stating they were unable to duplicate the issue but recommended replacement of the oil pump and timing chain at a cost of $1050. She also informed me they changed the oil and filter which had just been done as part of the inspection. I ask why the timing chain had to be replaced and she stated for this engine the timing chain had to be replaced when changing the oil pump (I fully understand the timing chain could be getting loose, and that would be the time to change it- but to insinuate it had to be done did not sit well with me). I made a phone call to another service place I do recommend Bengston Tire and Service hoping for a slightly cheaper repair. Bengston warned me a problem with the main bearings would also cause this problem but was an incredibly expensive fix, which is also expensive to correctly diagnosis (so changing the oil pump may or may not have corrected the problem!) And here is the super interesting part. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up the vehicle the paperwork stated "could have an intermittently sticking oil pump, or could just be indications of wear to the bearing surfaces, which will not be corrected with a new oil pump, recommend contact customer and discuss options". The quote even gave pricing for Long Block R&R. That would have been great information to have when determining to proceed with an oil pump replacement. I understand people make mistakes, but that typo cost my mother money in my opinion. And leaving out information the tech advised upsets me. What should have happened is after the first inspection my mother should have been told various things that could cause this issue and proceed from there instead of being told it was just a bad sensor. That was the whole reason I recommended Conklin in the first place and they failed. On the plus side, when picking up the vehicle she was not charged for the oil change or the second inspection. While that is appreciated it hardly feels free after spending the first $620.

I saw a coupon in a Salina flier that we got in the mail and thought it was a good deal. Not my luck! My appointment was at 1500. I got there at 1445 and got checked in. The coupon was for an oil change, tire rotation, multi point inspection, auto car wash, and a detailed inspection form. After sitting 2 hours, an hour after my promised time...I was told that they had ruined 2 of my lug nuts. So I sat longer. Upon paying, I was told that they broke 5 instead of 2. Then as I'm signing my paper, I noticed that it was stated that they had used 5w30 oil. I had repeatedly told them at check-in that my truck took 5w20. So then I waited for the mechanic that worked on my truck to be tracked down. They assured me that they used 5w20. I was so upset at this point that I just signed my paper and left. As I got in my truck there was "grease/oil" on my drivers side door and on my fabric on my seat where the plastic didn't cover to protect from their clothing. For this being my first time there, it was not an experience to get me to ever go back! I wouldn't recommend this place to a person I don't like.

My husband travels for work and is currently in the Abilene area. We were in the market for a new Honda or Toyota. With him working 6 10 hour days, it is hard to make it into a dealership to look around. The fact that the Salina Conklin is open until 8pm on the week nights was super helpful. I called blindly to speak with a sales person and was given to Tim. I explained to him that we wanted to test drive both the Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odyssey and compare. We we pulled in the lot he was waiting outside and both the vehicles were up front and ready to go. He explained all the features and options and answered any questions we had. We test drove each vehicle both through town and on the interstate and then took a vehicle just my husband and I for a drive so we could talk over our decision. After making a decision with only 30 minutes until closing, they sent us home with a credit application at our request. They gladly would have stayed for us to complete the application that night. The next morning I returned the application without my husband as he was working. They processed the application and explained all financing options to me and then drove the vehicle we wanted from Hutchinson for us to view and test drive. After signing the paperwork myself, I waited for my husband to get off work and come in and sign the purchasing paperwork himself. While I was waiting Brian the manager and Tim frequently checked on me to see if I needed anything. And also told me that I didn't have to wait for my husband that I could take the vehicle and head home. I chose to wait. All-in-all it was a great experience, everyone was friendly and helpful. I couldn't ask for better customer service. Tim was personable and I feel like he is now more of a friend than a salesman. I would recommend this dealership to anyone based on customer service and also selection. We're from a small town, so it's nice to walk into a dealership and work with people that share that small town friendliness and personality.

Ms. Ronda is a nice lady and courteous. Ronda told me she does not make the rules of any sales.. When I asked to make an offer on a car advertised on their Internet, she forwarded my call to some dude named Lopez]. Now get a load of this ... after I told both of them I lived several hundreds of miles from their dealership location, I was told the following by Lopez [a truck sales manager] ....... Lopez said, "that he would not and could not lower the advertised price ONE CENT". Can you believe this? Well it is true plus I had the money in hand to pay the whole purchase on that day.. Maybe we Internet Shoppers should all send Mr. Lopez a few pennies to hand out as discounts for future Internet Shoppers he wishes step on. I am surprised Lopez allows his staff to sell any car with more than one gallon of gas in it. In nearly 50 years of car shopping and purchasing in the USA -------> I find this dealership is absolutely run by the bottom of the barrel in customer appreciation with this type of management. As far as Lopez goes..... if he wants to pinch his pennies then maybe he should dismiss all of his salespeople and just use his Internet prices or his continued bold statements. According to Lopez .... shoppers must pay full Internet prices because there is no room for negotiation through him and his iron fist policies. What a waste of my time! I am glad I did not attempt to drive there to buy a car nor will I - ever. If the managers are that bad at sales negotiations then what happens after the purchase. Great website though .... too bad the management forgets who pays their bills......... imagine that ....... a $24K sale lost over ONE PENNY discount!!!! Unbelievable ........ What a great customer satisfaction policy for a country that is nearly bankrupt ........ is it not? Thanks Lopez, I will keep my common sense and you keep your pennies. There is no need to apologize to me ........ I am done with your policies and your dealership.

As long as Marisa is around I will continue being a customer with Conklin Cars. I was very nervous and scared about purchasing a new car due to it being a major purchase in someones life. My boyfriend and I started looking online and we were able to talk to Marisa through chat about a few of the vehicles we found. The next day she brought one of those vehicles we had seen over to our job [boyfriend and I work together], which is basically next door to Conklin. Marisa and I took a test drive during my lunch break and she wasn't one of those salesperson that is all about business and pushing you. She made it very comfortable to be in the vehicle by talking about everyday activities; not just about the sale she was trying to make. At that point I just wanted to take the car home with me and sleep next to it. I had gained a friend throughout the test drive and became comfortable with my saleslady! I was most nervous after work because it was becoming more real that I was going to be leaving with a new vehicle and a 'large' payment. Both Marisa and Larry were understanding about how scared I was to say yes. Granted we were there till after close because I couldn't say yes nor say no. I was in hard place because I knew I needed a new vehicle and I was getting a great deal I'm just not a person to jump into anything head first. They gave me the time to sit and think; even gave me a few options to help calm my nerves. Finally asked if I could see it again to make sure that I wanted to lock myself into a new car and payment. After seeing it one more time with Marisa I said that magical word and we started paperwork! Then cleaned out my old car, which had a lot, and piled it into the new one. I was very excited and nervous but felt relieved that I had a working car! I've had that car for a few months now and I couldn't be happier. Throughout the past few months Marisa has been checking in with me to make sure everything is going great! Shes a marvelous person and made my experience pretty great!

After showing us pictures online, she drove the car out to Hays for us to test drive and check out. It was just the kind of car I was looking for so we went ahead and bought it. She sent a driver and two days later I had my car. I really appreciate all the trouble she went to for me and really love the car! When I first walked into the dealership I felt that my husband and I was being ignored by the salesmen, but Jason made a big difference. He made us feel welcome and he also apologize for the late acknowledgement. He explained every vehicle that we looked at and test drove. When I first walked into the dealership I felt that my husband and I was being ignored by the salesmen, but Jason made a big difference. I found the vehicle that I was looking for through cars.com. It guided me to Conklin Cars which was closer to me than many other dealers that I had looked at. Once on the Conklin website we were able to see all the features and information we needed to make a decision to come in and look. Marisa answered our inquiry from the website and followed through with a very friendly, low pressure car buying experience. That meant a lot because when pressured and pushed through the "big dealership" type of sales system I usually am looking for excuses to leave. Conklin was a comfortable place to do business and we will certainly keep in touch. We negotiated to have several issues repaired on the van we wanted to buy. The issue were taken care of quickly soon after we bought the vehicle and as promised we had a courtesy car provided. I left with the feeling that Conklin will continue to provide great care for us as a customer now and down the road. Marisa spent a lot of time watching for a car I would want and calling me each time she thought I'd be interested. Finally the car I wanted was there, she worked with us, she was NOT high pressure which would have absolutely sent me away from Conklin. Instead she was very honest, friendly and supportive. We called 10 minutes to 5pm on a Thursday to ask about a Chevy Traverse, that was for sale. We were referred to Tim Putman the salesman. My husband is a busy farmer, he wanted to look and test drive this vehicle on Sunday, but Conklin Cars was not open. Tim Putman offered to bring this vehicle to us in Victoria, Ks the next day. We test drove the Chevy Traverse and dealt on it in less than hour - awesome! Tim said that he would have it delivered on Saturday, we would sign the papers and he would change out the tag from our vehicle we were trading in and place on the Traverse. Now this is what we call service. We would recommend Tim to anyone we know who is looking to buy a different vehicle.

Through the luck of the draw we spoke with Jeremy Foerschler and couldn't be happier!Our first visit (of many) we spent the entire evening test driving cars, and Jeremy was there for the whole process (seriously, like 4 hours of test driving), answering questions & making suggestions. There was never the slightest hint of impatience or pressure, he honestly made us feel like he was there to help.The next two months brought several more visits to the dealership as she narrowed her choices, and Jeremy stuck with us through the whole process, always patient, even well after I would have been pulling out my hair. Answering all of our questions, be it on the lot, e-mail, or text.The big day finally came to close the deal and this process too was pleasant and uneventful. We had to come in after work, and I found out later that Jeremy stayed there 4 hours past his scheduled time to oversee the process and make sure things went smoothly.I hope their service department is as friendly and efficient as sales. I foresee being very happy with our choice.

Excellent treatment! I was involved in a roll-over accident that totaled my 2012 Chevy Equinox. I called Matt at Conklin Cars. I told him that I wanted an Equinox like the one I had. We just purchased a 2010 Tundra that they just got in, hadn't even been detailed yet. We drove and decided to purchase it so they told us to give them a day and they would detail it. Well their detail shop leaves much to be desired. One week later we had to return the truck so they could do some body work it needed done. The body work was done well, everything we asked for. So they said let us have it for one more day and well get it cleaned up. When we picked the truck up the black interior was FULL of white sanding dust.

My experience with Conklin started several months ago... in the summer of 2013 I was shopping for a used vehicle and looked over the inventory on Conklin-Salina's lot. At that time, Jason Langen spoke with me...but I decided to wait a little longer. Jason called me every couple of months just to check with me and see if I was ready. He was not pushy when he called and I kept saying I just wasn't ready, so he continued to follow up. I can't express how glad I am that he did continue to call! On Thursday, 1/30/14, he called again...and although I was ready to make a change I hadn't made any moves yet. He asked me to come in on Friday, 1/31/14. Jason asked me what I was looking for and listened when I answered. I feel he gave me straight answers and he treated me with respect and courtesy. Jason worked hard for me and took the time to let me try several vehicles until we found the perfect one! I love my "new" car and I am thankful Jason was persistent and patient with me! Jason is personable and won't give you the smooth salesman yakking that many do. As far as the rest of the folks there, the financial guy was great and worked hard to find the best deal for me based on the numbers I gave him that I could afford. He was also straight-forward with everything and went over each part of the contract in detail, including answering what I'm sure he thought were my dumb questions! Overall, my experience at Conklin- Salina was excellent and I intend to go back when I'm ready to trade up!

My sales experience with Conklin-Salina began in the summer of 2013. Jason Langen was my salesman then, but I just wasn't ready to commit. Jason called me every few months to check with me and I kept saying I wanted to make a move, but not yet. When he called on 1/30/14 I was ready to do it! Jason was patient and listened to what I said was important to me and what I was looking for. I left the lot on 1/31/14 with a "new" '09 Honda that I love! it's perfect for me!! The financial guy (sorry I can't remember your name) was great too! He worked within the budget numbers I gave him and found financing that really works for me. Also, he explained the contract in a straight-forward manor and answered all of my questions. I will be returning to Jason and Conklin-Salina when i am ready for my next vehicle!

Was looking for a truck. Would not let us see what was on lot instead had someone drive vehicles around. Trucks were not what we told them what we were looking for. Went to dealer down the road and bought a truck from them . Had another truck that needed work took it to them because they were the closest dealer for that vehicle. Took vehicle back several times for front alignment and they couldn't even get that right went threw a couple sets of tires do to there work. I'll never buy or take a vehicle to the service department ever.

While on vacation recently I had a good bit of trouble remembering the settings to program the SiriusXM settings to receive weather reports on the road. We have a Honda CR-V2013, purchased in April in another state. We stopped by this dealership and received excellent and courteous instructions from Thomas Zackary. He competently set the radio and instructed me so that in the future it is very easy to change as needed. He took the time to do this all the while in a friendly nature as if we were regular customers. I felt right at home. Although this was most definitely not a routine visit the entire staff was welcoming and supportive. They refused our offer to pay and we went on with our vacation confident that we now knew how to change the settings to match our area. Both my husband and myself are grateful for this information and would most assuredly use this dealership if we lived in this beautiful area.

Pam Seveson did a GREAT job. It was the most pleasurable new car buying experience we've ever had (and we're 65 and 63)! She did a great job of explaining EVERYTHING we had questions on and on EVERYTHING we needed to know about our new Prius. I've never had a sales person spend that much time going over the operation of the car, explaining how the different extended warranties work, selling us on Ceilajet finish. Can't say enough about her. Allen Brown, Finance Manager, was also GREAT to work with. I called and looked at upwards of 20 different dealerships in Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Missouri and looked at over 50 different cars during my two month long search for a used vehicle. I spoke with some salesmen I liked and some I did not like. Through this trial and error process I was able to nail down exactly what car I wanted based on the criteria of price, miles, and options. In the end I was lucky enough to find the best combination of all three criteria in a 2010 Toyota Prius at Conklin Car's Salina. Not only did I find a great car at a fantastic price I also found a dealership and salesman, Adam Hatten, that were friendly, responsive, and committed to ensuring my satisfaction. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to visit Adam, Chad Crist, and Larry Henoch at Conklin Car's Salina.

I, my wife, my daughters, no one in my family will EVER do business with this establishment again. The service is horrible, and it is outside the realm of possibility for them to care any less that their service is horrible. Forget going the "extra mile." They are unwilling to even lift a finger to try to do right by a customer, or to make a difficult situation bearable. My advice is to steer clear of this business altogether.

I came in to check my Honda hybrid's "big battery." Sadly, it was going dead & the age and mileage of my car did not make it economically feasible to replace it. Jerry came along and chatted, then responded immediately to my desire to purchase (another) economical and long lasting Honda. I wound up with a brand new '12 Civic with a compelling discount and a fair trade-in value. Financing through Honda at .9% interest put it all together. I asked for a used truck with certain criterea. They didnt have anything on the lot that day. They said that they would keep me informed. Three days later, I got a phone call from Cody Kraft, saying that he had just gotten a trade in that day. He wanted me to come and test drive it. I did, and it was great. I didnt have any money to put down, or anything to trade in. But my wife and I went in a couple of days later anyway, and filled out the paper work. Both Cody and Larry Henoch, were both very helpful and polite, and respectful. Larry was working on getting us a financer for the truck, and did so and got us the best interest rate we have had on any car we have bought in the past. I have nothing but good things to say about this dealership, and I will go there again, if the need arises.

I dealt with salesperson Catherine Doud, mainly over the phone and e-mail to find a specific Chevrolet truck. She was able to find me exactly what I wanted, at a reasonable price. We love our new car, and we had a great experience with Conklin Cars and Matt Pounds. When we first looked at our Buick Enclave, it was filthy. It surprised me that they would allow their cars to be so dirty on the lot. My husband encouraged me to look past that. They cleaned it up fairly well upon selling it to us, but it could have been a little cleaner. After getting it home, I had to put some work into it. Also, there were about three problems with the car we bought that needed taken care of: a chipped windshield, a squeaky steering wheel, and a black door panel piece peeling off (which they did in a timely manner at no charge to us). I also had free use of a rental car while work was done. All problems were corrected to our satisfaction except the windshield We had hoped to not even see the chip (even if that meant replacing the windshield). Unfortunately, we can still see it (although it's small). Overall, we would do business with them again. We appreciate that they gave us a great deal!

I don't like the process one has to go through to purchase a (new) car or truck. To haggle over price is not my idea of fun. A buyer has to research the true cost of the vehicle to the dealer and then there are still pitfalls at the dealership to maneuver through. One never knows if the best deal was made. With that said, my experience at Conklin Cars was not so bad. Pam Severson was friendly and professional. Helpful after the sale. I received a good price on the new truck. The employees that I met at the dealership were friendly and helpful.

I did not know any salesmen at Conklin, so I worked with the only guy that greeted me during the lunch hour, Matt Snyder. I traded in a 2010 Chrysler mini-van with less than 9,000 miles on it for a brand new Toyota Camry. I absolutely LOVE it! I was very at ease with Matt Snyder. He was respectful that I pick out the cars, my husband makes the money. I brought my husband back out to the dealership and we traded his mini-van for a Toyota Corolla. Two days and two new cars. Matt Snyder could not have been any more helpful and friendly. We were interested in the new Chevy Volt. Being from out of town, we had checked at two other dealerships, neither of whom seemed interested in talking about the Volt, and had no one with any knowledge of its workings. Thomas Zackary was exactly the person we were looking for. He explained everything about the workings of the car and patiently answered all of our questions. After a fun and informative test drive, we were hooked. They were very helpful finding the color we wanted and easily negotiated the price. Larry Hechon, financial manager, efficiently did the paperwork. When my wife and I went shopping for a used SUV to replace a vehicle that was totalled, we looked at other local dealers' offerings. None came close to comparing with the prices and available selection of Conklin Cars. Matt Snyder had kept in contact periodically, and once we started working with him, we found him to be honest, personable, and helpful. Once we made our choice of vehicles, and the negotiating commenced, we were introduced to Larry Henoch (Financing Manager). Larry was professional and easy to talk to, and we got the terms we wanted.One caveat regarding Price: I rated Price as a 5 to reflect my perception of Conklin Cars pricing in comparison to other dealerships in the area, and compared to the blue book values. In general, however, I believe automobile prices have been grossly over-inflated for decades (cost of production vs. MSRP).

We have considering the purchase of a new vehicle for a couple of months. A couple of days ago I had received a telephone call from our salesperson (Ronda) inquiring our thoughts on the possible purchase and inquired if she could provide us a proposal for the vehicle we were considering. I agreed to this and drove to the dealer location to review the proposal. Upon my arrival to the location I was greeted at the door by our salesperson (Ronda) and the sales manager (Scott). I was presented with the proposal that was completed in full to include all the available options on the vehicle, pricing, financing offers with payment information. Upon reviewing the information provided Ronda proceeded to take me to the vehicle we were considering and present it to me and explain the features of the vehicle. We had owned a previous model of the the vehicle so she took the time to present me with the improvements & enhancements to the newer model. They were so considerate that the vehicle was indoors so we didn't have to face the cold temperatures outside. Upon completion of her presentation of the vehicle my wife was just finishing her day at work & they welcomed the opportunity to present the vehicle to her. Upon her arrival to the dealership provided my wife the same courtesy as they did for me and showed her all the vehicle features. We were then presented a offer for an extended warranty by Larry with a complete explanation of coverages, deductibles and costs involved. Upon completion of the dealer presentation we were given the opportunity to drive the vehicle in which we did not feel was necessary, my wife and I were allowed time to discuss what decision we were considering with no dealer personnel present. Upon making the decision to purchase the vehicle. The completion of the purchase was so simple due to the dealership personnel had all the information provided for the the initial presentation of the vehicle, in which made the final process of completing the transaction very prompt and efficient. We received full explanations of all documentation that was signed during the closing of the transaction and provided instructions as needed. The overall efforts of the people involved from the dealership made this a transaction and decision an easy one for my wife and I. The courtesy, professionalism, and the willingness to assist us was service that we believe is unmatched. We can't thank them enough for their efforts.

We did not get the deal we had made with the salesman. A runner brought our car down and had no idea how to do the paperwork. We were promised oil changes and tire rotations for 2 years that we didn't get,not to mention the price of the car was not what we agreed on. It was a horrible experience and I will never go back to that dealership.

Very poor customer service after the sale. The checklists they provide that indicate the vehicle has been inspected and is in good condition was inaccurate and marked things as satisfactory even though they did not work correctly. I purchased a 2009 Chevy Silverado LTZ that looked clean and seemed to drive well so based on the truck being a newer model, the inspection checklists, and salesman verbal assurance I believed things were in working order. However, I have had several issues ranging from a vent fan that only directs air to the feet(no defrost) to rotors that are slightly warped and affect breaking. I can understand that a quick inspection by the dealer can't pick up everything that is wrong with a pre-owned vehicle, but that is why I felt comfortable with the 60 day bumper to bumper warranty Conklin says they provide, but when I called to get the repairs done under warranty the dealership said I had to jump through hoops and drive it back accross the state because it would only be serviced in their shop. I offered for them to just pay the amount that it would cost to have it done by their people so they didn't feel like my local mechanic was price gouging them, but they wouldn't budge at all. Its dissappointing to see a dealer in the heartland of America turn its back on the intent of a deal they made (in this case the warranty). I guess that's why we have so many contracts and lawyers these days instead of good ol fashioned handshake deals where people's words and integrity mean something.

I was tokd by as service writer to come in any morning and they would fix my broke tailgate lock. When I went in on Saturday morning they 1. wanted to know if I had an appointment, one mentioned needing an appointment. 2. I was informed that they only do oil changes and tune-ups on Sat. They said they would make an exception and try to work me in. Got there at 7:30am (per their internet site), got to my truck at 2 pm.Only had a broken tailgate lock. They did not want to acc3ept my extended warranty and still charged an extra $131.60 above the 0 deductable. Texas Toyota dealers do not treat their out of state customer this way. Conklin is the only Toyota dealer in mid Kansas. Beware.

When I first started looking for a vehicle I had started with private owners and then another dealership. I had bad experiences and no luck finding my vehicle. I am a first time car buyer and was looking for a dependable vehicle. I'm also a single mother and wanted a family car. On August 28, 2011 I had walked into Conklin already having the attitude that I wasn't going to find the car I needed or wanted. Luckily I had a great salesman. Matt Snyder was very friendly, honest and attentive. He asked me what my main reasons of getting a vehicle was and what my preferences were. I had informed him I wanted a cheap, dependable, family oriented vehicle. He then showed me a 2011 Toyota Corolla. Was out of my price range and then he informed me of another vehicle that was supposed to come in a few days later. I talked it over with him and decided to do a credit check and get all the things set to go. Well all in all Matt is a great salesman. Not only did Matt make a sale but he went out of his way to pick me up to bring me to the dealership due to me not having a vehicle. He also got me a great deal on my very first vehicle. My wife and I had been looking to purchase a new car for some time. We had been considering a Chevrolet Equinox, Hyundi Santa Fe and a Toyota RAV4 2.5 L 4 cyl FWD model.We had been going to various dealers to look at their models and were pleanantly surprised to find Conklin in Salina had all the models we were interested in to compare side-byside.Our salesman Bret Shank was very helpful and he and everyone at this dealership was very friendly and helpful.We ended up buying the RAV4 and have been very satisfied.We would recommend this dealership to anyone.Al Whitmire

In April I purchased a VERY problematic new 2011 Chevy Silverado from Conklin Cars of Salina. Let me start with saying, the dealer makes the difference! When the issues started up with my truck, GM Customer Service offered very little support. Luckily, a few great people at Conklin Cars stepped up and made sure my issues were correctly addressed, and that I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. I seriously doubt that any other dealership would have gone to the extent Conklins did to help me get these issues resolved. I would specifically like to thank:Jeremy Dahl - My sales person. He kept himself available to me anytime I had a question or concern. All of my concerns were important to him, no matter how small they were. Bret worked with me to arrange procuring the car I wanted while I was still overseas, finishing up a 4-year contract. My hope was to have the car I wanted ready to go upon my arrival back in the U.S. This hope was fulfilled, and I picked up the car on my way home from the airport. Bret not only found the car I wanted but also arranged to have the optional accessories installed by the time I arrived. When at the dealership, the process to complete the paperwork went very smooth and fast. I think it is uncommon to find such outstanding service. It is outstanding quality work and service to have the exact car I wanted (which is not easy to find), with the accessories I wanted,, ready to go upon my arrival from overseas. This high level of service had a positive impact on my family, as well, since I was able to arrive at home with a car. The night I got home, I used the car to help transport family to a restaurant for a meal with the immediate family and in-laws. Anyway, I am very pleased to see this kind of quality and service still exists in certain corners of the United States. Hats off to Bret and Conklin Cars.

Called regarding a new vehicle listed on the website. Talked to Bret Shank via phone and email. We negotiated price and my trade over the phone. Went to Salina to close the deal. Bret met us out front when we got there and walked us through the process. We drove the new car, they looked at our trade, and we signed papers shortly thereafter. Bret went out of his way to meet our needs and answer our questions throughout the whole process. We got an excellent price on our new car and it was a great buying experience.

In the process of finding the "right" car, we visited several dealerships and Conklin Cars of Salina was by far the best experience we had at any dealership. Tom was outstanding in helping us find the right car and was thorough in explaining and showing us every aspect of the car. Even down to setting our favorite radio stations for us. The atmosphere at the dealership was friendly and helpful throughout the staff. Allen was very thorough in explaining and going over all the financial papers.Will I buy again from Conklin Cars of Salina, you bet. Jeremy Lloyd - By character, he is by far the best person I've ever worked with in my history of buying any vehicle. He has the attention of the customer from start to finish, and always has his eye on the satisfaction rather than the greenbacks. I come from New York, where it's all about survival at the dealership, and most salesmen would rather call you crazy before giving you a deal on a car. Jeremy is patient, and extremely persistant on making sure that the customer enters and leaves satisfied.I traded my car in for a Toyota 4Runner. With a little 'bump in the road' and a couple days, Jeremy called me and said he had this SUV for me, and if I was interested, I could get the loan for it. I immediately started my way to Salina to take delivery. I have had the truck for three days and I am very happy with all of the things this vehicle has to offer. I am further impressed by the way that Jeremy was able to work his abilities to the benefit of the customer (me) and got me into this SUV.Many dealerships have a stigma about them, I like to consider those dealerships large fish tanks full of piranha, waiting for the unsuspecting 'feeder' to waltz onto the lot. Some stare for hours out a window and give the impression that their job is so laxed. That kind of attitude steers me away from places like that. I have had many experiences where it's all the same, I walk in onto a dealer's lot, three or four come out and size you up and down, and one goes in 'for the kill'. They are all the same, they bait and switch, smoke and mirrors, and sometimes, just plain don't care about you. They're in it for the money. It's just the same for the customer too!Jeremy understands this, and made every effort he could to get me where I am now with my Toyota. I was the one relaxed and he was doing all the necessary work to make this deal happen. Within a couple of days, his job was only half done. I stayed in contact with him, and he with me, and we made this all work out around my work schedule and availability. I appreciate all of his efforts, and the work he's done to help someone out.He's truly an example of what America is missing out on in the car industry, and that's the quality of service of someone who would treat you like he'd want to be treated. I don't feel threatened by him, we joked and laughed, and shared some similar stories. It's like making a friend and doing business at the same time. He's really a great person, and I would recommend Conklin and Jeremy to anyone that asks me where to start looking for their next vehicle, cause I can guarantee, that will be there one and only stop!Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication Jeremy!! Brett was our sales person and had gone a long way towards educating himself on the Odyssey before we came in. (There are a lot of gadgets on a 2011 Odyssey Touring). We had our 4 week old daughter with us so when we started talking price, I let him know we didn't have time for a lot of negotiations back and forth. After we got a price together that the took to Dave, Dave came right out and we were able to get a price negotiated that we both thought was fair and I ended up buying the vehicle in what was a record time for me and without the typical stress headache I usually get.Allen was very friendly, professional, efficient and knowledgable. I would love to buy another vehicle from these folks.

there was a wiring problem with my trailblazer. i was told by chevy and conklin all would be taken care of, including the rental car. Surprise, they took care of nothing plus it cost me 300 dollars to boot and didn't even fix the problem. I received my vehicle back and it was torn apart in the back seat, they had put nothing back.would not take my tricycle to them.

When looking to purchase a car, I do my homework. I check Consumer Reports, and make sure that I check all possible dealerships, in my area, to get the best price for me. Conklin Sales, in Salina, Kansas, met all of that criteria and more. I had been haggling with a dealership, near our town, in Nebraska. They continued to "change the deal", would not show us the MSRP, even when I asked, and would not give us a break on the price to install some accessories. I became so frustrated with them,that I began checking online, for a more honest dealership. I wanted a Honda Crosstour and didn't want all the bells and whistles. Conklins had exactly the car I was looking for, right down to the color. The car was on sale, so I called and talked with a sales person - Matt Snyder. He was very kind and cared about me and what I wanted in a Crosstour. He was fair about the cost of our trade-in, and then proceeded to go above and beyond, by letting me know exactly what my payments would be each month. I told him I would get back to him, after deciding between his deal and the other one, closer to our town. Long story short- the other dealership kept screwing us over, so I called Matt back, and made the deal over the phone - our car sight unseen. He trusted that the description I gave him, of our trade-in, was accurate. We drove to Kansas, a three hour trip, and picked up our brand new Crosstour. No hassles, no changing the price of the car, or the price of our trade in, just straight forward honest dealing. Anyone looking for a vehicle, NEEDS to check this Dealership out. I was looking at Nissan pick ups in Hutchinson, drove one, and didn't like it. My salesman, Jose Flores, called me the next day, and told me he could get me a Toyota truck through the Salina store, so I met him in Salina, drove one and ordered one. It came the next morning. I love this truck! I feel that I was treated fairly, and got a good price on my trade in. Jose and Dean are a class act!

I found vehicle on internet. Just called for info. I had a trade in and told them what I had and if they could get me the deal I wanted. I drove 2 hrs to have them look at my trade in and so I could look at the vehicle I inquired about. Great customer service, very friendly, and straight up and honest. They cut me an initial deal. I wasn't quite satisfied. They came back a few minutes later and gave me a better deal that would work for me. I have bought a lot of vehicles and I would drive a long way to get a good deal and service. I would definitely buy from them again.

Sale went OK...problems started after sale...title came one day before 30 day temporary tag expired...took off work and spent hours at tag office because sales tax was not correct...salesman was contacted that car was pulling to right and there was a problem with sales tax...was going to check on sales tax problem and check w/ service to see if pulling a little was normal or it was just my sensitivity to front wheel drive and would call me back about both...never did...did call to wish "happy birthday" but did not seem to recall other issues...told me to take car to Newton...wife took time off from work to get car checked...Newton service had it all afternoon and next morning and could not, or would not fix problem...no alignment parts available they said...got call from Newton service a few days ago and said car had already been aligned and they were not going to spend any more money on it and if I wanted alignment I would have to pay for it...I told service person who called me that problem was brought to salesman's attention well within warranty...if I had a problem with that she said to call salesman ...I asked her to call and she refused...I called salesman 2 times and left voice mail to call back "immediately" and "right-a-way"...never heard from him to this day...I am mad as hell and will certainly review my experience to anyone who may be looking to buy a car.

Within the past two months we have purchased two new vehicles from Conklin in Salina and couldn't be happier with the level of service, customer care, and overall satisfaction. Our first visit was in March to trade a Toyota for a new Honda. Jesse Divelbiss was our first contact person, and immediately we knew he was not the typical car salesperson. Jesse was responsive, informative and professional without being pushy or arrogant. Through his services, we negotiated a deal and drove away in a new Honda. Two months later Jesse called to let us know that they had just received another Honda that we had indicated we might be interested in during our first visit. Once again, Jesse's responsiveness and customer care led us down a path to trade in an older Honda (not the one we bought two months earlier!) for a newer one. The team at Conklin was excellent to work with and made the car buying experience an extremely positive one. Additionally, I want to say that the Sales Manager Scott Johnson added a personal touch that you rarely see when dealing in new car negotiations. The Sales Manager is often the "behind the scenes bad guy" that you rarely get a chance to interact with. Scott Johnson can NOT be described as the elusive "bad guy." He was available, responsive, and a pleasure to work with as well. We highly recommend the team at Conklin in Salina, Kansas.

We drove to Conklin after viewing a car on the internet. When we arrive James met us at the door and had the car ready for us to drive. You could tell that the car had been prepared for our test drive. When we returned from the test drive we were ready to negotiate for the purchase. The negotiation was done on a friendly even basis. There was no pressure exerted upon us by the salesman or sales manager. We agreed upon a price and drove home with the car. We went back the next day for a minor scratch to be corrected. Our purchase was a pleasant experience. We rececoment this dealer to anyone wanting to purchase a car.

Our son works in the body shop at Conklins and is good friends with Brian Garret, a salesman there. We were looking to trade our 07 HHR in and get some lower payments. Brian called and said they had just taken a in a car he thought we might like. He drove the car to our home, which is about 60 miles from Salina, to let us look at it. We liked the car, a 09 Nissan Sentra, and he took all of the information he needed to see what we could do on a trade. The dealership called the next morning with all of the figures.We could get in the new car and lower our payments by $100 dollars a month. We told them to get all the paperwork ready and we would be down that afternoon. When we got there it took about 45 minutes to sign every thing and head back home. This isn't the first car we've bought from Conklins. The sales staff is very easy to work with, and they always take care of our service needs.
