I purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from them and had 4 problems with it in the 60 day 100% warranty period and they said that none of the items were covered. They do not tell you that the 100% warranty does not cover 100% of potential problems. Buyers beware

This was our second lease from Cooley and it was better than the first one, which was great as well. I leased my 2015 Mazda6 from Cooley back in May, 2015 with John Hansen and they jumped through hoops to get me into the car at the payment I wanted. My credit is less than perfect and they still made it happen, and I love the car. We just leased a brand new, just released 2016 Mazda CX-9 from them for the family and they had me in and out in two days. Somer was THE best sales person I've ever dealt with, and I've bought a lot of cars from a lot of different dealerships. Even after a problem arose on our end we dealt directly with Adam, the sales manager, and he took extra time out of his own schedule to make sure we were completely happy. This dealership is above the rest, they make you feel like part of the family and aren't pushy or shady in the least. I will continue to buy/lease from Cooley Mazda for many years to come, I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Somer, Adam, and Mr. Cooley for making us two-time happy Mazda customers! Also thanks to Jamie in the service department, she is great as well and went out of her way to point out that I have free services available for the life of my cars that I had completely forgotten about! I will be taking advantage of my free oil changes and NYS inspections thanks to Jamie.

I had a great experience at Cooley, great service and was treated like I mattered. Alfie Giuliano got me into a car at a price I could afford and made sure everything was as easy and stress free as possible. Even the other salesmen I met there were very nice and personable and made me feel as if I made the right choice in the car and dealer I chose. I would recommend not only the salesman I dealt with but also if you are looking for a good deal on your trade and a dealer that strives for excellent customer service I would recommend Cooley motors.

I was looking for a brand new car as a mom of 2 school age kids. I often felt that other dealers and sales representatives took my kind nature for naivite. However, my husband is a professional in sales and spent years as a pro rider, and I knew a lot more than other dealers assumed as they shoved me and pushed me into test drives of cars I had ZERO interest in for our family.Enter Alfio Giulano at Cooley Motors. He was the first person who made ME feel like a person. Like a human. As a family man, he understood my needs and wanted as well to introduce to me to technological updates that were absolutely integral to my decision making process.Mr. Giuliano asked questions and LISTENED more than he talked; in ANY sales this seems to be rare. He let me talk about our familiy's needs and our budget and we test drove the Volkswagen Jetta which was a PERFECT fit! It was not a huge momcar which I did not want yet it had great safety ratings, room for the kids' booster seats and had great gas mileage. Overall, fit and finish was our ideal family vehicle and thanks to Mr. Giuliano we found it. Our family loves our new car! Thanks to all at Cooley!

Where should I start about this dealership. I found a truck that I loved and the experience was less then desirable. It was awful. My salesman alfie, didn't contact me in a timely matter when he found out the financing and Jessica, the finance manager, it took her two days to respond back to me when I told them I wanted to pick up the truck on a Friday. I went to see the truck on Tuesday and I thought Friday was more then ample time. My salesman said he had to leave early and didn't want to return back to the dealership that day. I finally heard back from the finance manager when I showed up at the dealership to wait another 30 minutes for her. Finally I could pick up my truck Saturday morning. I asked for a full tank of gas since they completely xxxxx me on my trade and it was the least they can do. Alfie laughed at me and continued on his way while I was signing paperwork in the office. I also felt extremely pressured to purchase the cream of the crop warranty because the vehicle was so old and the finance manager told me not to even bother looking at the other warranties because they did not cover anything. I finally wrapped everything up and alfie did not do a walk around with me and show me how to use this what was considered an old vehicle, but it's an 09 Avalanche with 50k. Thanks for making it feel like a piece of junk. The next day, my mirrors that are supposed to fold in, one is broken. I call Alfie...no response back. I call service for two days straight and no one called back after I left 3 messages. Finally someone called me from service and she gave me attitude saying I should know better, but since my sales experience was so awful they would wave the deductible since Mr. Cooley cares about his customers. So I make an appointment with service for the following Friday. My mirror never got fixed because the next day, Justin, another Business Manager was calling me to tell me they were coming to tow my truck because I had not met the deductible. So for 4 days straight I kept getting phone calls asking where the truck was and they were picking it up. I financed it through an independent bank which I signed with them and all guidelines were met. He continued to harass and call me. Also someone named Kim the dealer was calling my insurance company to change my policy without me knowing. Hey Cooley that's fraud. You can't go and change a contract after it's been done or use my personal information in a negligent manner. My contract is with the bank and not you. My mirror is still broken and now I don't trust Cooley motors because what they have done. I wanted to return the vehicle and have them pay off the loan since it was still in a timely matter and Alfie laughed at me on the phone like I was a joke. So to some it up, if you are in the mood to get insulted and treated like you are just money..go there. I also had Tim Barnes, another salesman, send me harassing messages after writing a review about the dealership. Never in my life have I have never been so disrespected after purchasing a vehicle.

It's sad to see the bad reviews. I had a great experience. Terry Halsey was friendly and not pushy. I told him what I wanted and he delivered. Justin Rosado the finance person worked the numbers to keep me where I wanted to be. I've gone to different dealers over the years and this was easiest I've experienced.

When shopping for a Mazda3, we presented the folks at Cooley with a price we got from another dealer approx 90 miles south of Albany. Instead of trying to match or beat the the price, Andre proceeded to explain how the other dealer couldn't possibly sell the car for that low a price and accused them of all sorts of shady business practices. This was of course just a ploy to prevent me from leaving and going to the other dealer. After getting a price quote for the Mazda3 and a low-ball offer for my trade-in from Cooley, I went to the other dealer to get a trade-in offer from them. I ended up purchasing my Mazda 3 from Mazda of Poughkeepsie that night because they gave me a much better price on the car as well as a fair price for my trade-in. As it turns out, none of the horrible things that Andre accused them of were actually true and I ended up paying over $3,000 less than the deal that Cooley had offered. A couple of days later, Andre called me on the phone to see how I made out. After explaining that I purchased the car at the other dealer, he told me that there's no way that other dealer could have sold me the car for the price I paid. What unbelievable arrogance from Andre. In the end, I got a much better deal elsewhere. The sales staff at Cooley did not impress me with their deceitful and arrogant sales tactics. I also had to add their automated emails to my spam filter because I still get multiple emails a day from them even after informing them that I have already purchased a car from someone else.

I was on my way to another car dealer, when I thought I would stop by Cooley. I had purchase my last two Mazdas from them. I was happy that on a holiday weekend they were able to get me the lease on the car I wanted at the price my wife and I had agree we would not exceed. Plus Mazda gave us a dealer loyalty cash that helped close the deal. It took a little bit for us to settle on the exact car. When I was done, I had all the safety features that we wanted.

Due to previous purchases from Cooley in the past, we took a quote from a different dealership to Cooley, where they agreed to match the quote. Salesman Dan Durivage was excellent, worked out the details, picked the car and color and agreed to pickup the next business day. When reviewing all the paperwork to sign on the day of pickup, it was noticed the monthly payment was $50 more than agreed upon. Finance person was apologetic, but stated he didnt realize the payment price would be an issue (because apparently everyone has an extra $600 a year they dont care about). He then brought in the GM, who was arrogant and rude, comparing Mazda's quality to that of a BMW or Mercedes, when I pointed out that for a 3 year lease, the "quality" of the car shouldnt be a huge factor, he didnt have much to say. He attempted to push a different car on us, that we already advised we were not interested in and he stated that we were "beating him up over $5-$10", which I had to remind him was in fact $50 not $5. Ultimately we left, without our down payment, because he claimed it had already been deposited and we could receive a check the next day, which was also false as now they are claiming 10 business days.In discussing our major distaste for the practices of Cooley, numerous people have stated the same sentiment, and everyone has agreed that the GM is extremely rude, unprofessional and even have stated he is the reason dealerships get their bad reputation. The thing I find the most amusing, is regarding the positive review by Jessica R or "Jessica" on every review site. The amusing part is that she is on the finance team at Cooley. Glad the people who work there think they are excellent...

I love this dealership! The staff was very friendly and efficient, made the buying experience very easy and fun! I'm a young woman and felt very nervous about coming into a dealership on my own and being pressured into a vehicle. Not the case at Cooley! I came in looking for a 2015 Mazda 6 and was greeted immediately. My salesperson, Seamus, was awesome. He made me feel like I was at home, chatting with an old friend. When he pulled the car up for a test drive I was very pleasantly surprised. He had listened to every one of my needs and wants and the car in front of me was exactly what I was looking for. Perhaps the most nerve-racking part of the whole experience was the anticipation of financing. Once again, I was very pleasantly surprised with how down to earth and educated the finance department was. Made everything crystal clear and easy to sign away with a smile on my face. In conclusion, I would send any one of my family members and friends over to Cooley Motors for their next new or used car. Thanks Seamus and the staff at Cooley Motors for making this experience great!

I was very nervous to walk in to a car dealership. I didn't want to do the "Central Ave. shuffle" but I didn't want to drive too far out of my way. I looked up dealerships under 10 minutes away and found Cooley motors off Exit 8 heading east on 90. I pulled in and found the parking very convenient. I walked into the showroom and was great within a minute or so by Ryan, he proved to be polite and not pushy as I felt unprepared, not Really knowing what I wanted. Ryan asked me a few questions, brought me a soda and drove 3 different vehicles. We landed on a Ford Escape. The finance department was very helpful and helped me to obtain my loan. Al in all, I drove in and drove out in under three hours which seemed fair since I went in not really knowing what I wanted. Thanks Ryan!

Our salesman listened carefully to our questions and preferences and negotiated a price that my wife and I thought very fair, at one point offering to add roof rails for no charge to sweeten the deal for us because he remembered I'd asked if they could be added aftermarket. He spent as long with me in the cabin of the car trying to pair the OEM audio system with my phone as it took to figure it out (it worked!). I never sensed that he viewed me or our interest in a Mazda as a mere means to an end. He let the car sell itself, which it did, and never pressured us inappropriately. We ended up buying the extended warranty plan as well, which both the salesman and the finance specialist explained to us very well. We bought the car feeling confidence in both the vehicle and the dealership. We didn't feel as if we'd been had by a team of experienced fleecers of naive car buyers. We felt that we'd been helped to select and buy a good recent-year vehicle after our old own finally bit the dust.

I will never go back to Cooley Motors. The experience I had there just last night was absolutely horrifying. I worked with Ken Snay and can honestly say I have never met someone more cocky and unprofessional. His attitude from the very first introduction was rude and just plain unprofessional. Both him and his manager acted like my friend and I were stupid and would take the vehicle I was interested in and the awful numbers he came back with the first time if he just explained it in a different way. When we finally decided we'd had enough we had to fight and argue to get my car keys back (after they took them to value my trade-in). The final interaction I had with him he brought his manager over, who didn't even introduce himself and didn't hand over the keys, my friend had to take them. The most surprising part to me was that as we were walking out they were yelling at us that they could all of a sudden make it work and that they didn't understand why we weren't letting them "work for us". Overall I was very disappointed and disgusted by the way we were treated and spoken to in the short 30 minutes that we were in the building.

Going to Cooley Motors was the best decision. They were friendly & very helpful with my buying experience. I had an older Mazda Tribute, 2006, when I decided to look into purchasing a new Mazda. I needed an update. When I went to Cooley, on a Saturday, I was greeted by Mr. Crowley & a nice, smiling salesman, Zach. Zach was very knowledgeable about the products. He was never pushy or overbearing. I was interested in a Mazda the same size as my old Tribute. He told me the Mazda CX5 was similar to the Tribute. I took one for a test drive. I fell in love with it! My next concern, was my credit. It was ok but I didn't think I would ever be able to get a new car loan. To make a long story short, they fought very hard for me to get the loan I needed. The following Tuesday, I picked up my new white Mazda CX5. Since my purchase, I have called Zach for various questions & he has always answered them with no problem!!!

I purchased my first car with Cooley Motors! they made my purchase of a new 2014 VW Jetta not only an experience to remember but it was quick, efficient, and easy. The staff is extremely pleasant. My salesman Dan Durivage was a great help. I told him exactly what i was looking for in a car, inside and out, and we found it in a matter of minutes. Lifetime free inspection and first oil change on Cooley. Steve Meyers and Jessica Rector from the finance department were thorough and helped me finance my car within hours. In all a great dealership. Great variety!!

I have always owned American made cars, mostly Chevy's. Always loved the looks of the Beetle and vowed I would buy one some day. I finally did it this year. Love the car but I have to say, Cooley has not impressed me. The first indication I had of their dishonesty and incompetence came when I decided to lease it but did not want more than a three year lease. I told them what i wanted to pay for how many months and they worked the numbers. I signed the papers, without realizing they had pulled a "bate and switch" deal on me. Not until I got my first payment paperwork did I realize that my lease was for four years. I know it is my fault for not reading the paperwork I had signed, but all along during the whole deal it never came up that another year had been added on to the lease. I assume they did that because they could not arrive at the figure I wanted to pay, but did not want to lose my business. I felt very deceived. I also had trouble with my air conditioner where the cool air would stop intermittently and I would feel warm air every few minutes. Took it to Cooley for service (which by the way was supposed to be done in the morning and did not happen until late afternoon) and after checking it out told me that it was normal for an a/c to do that! Well in all my years of driving Chevy's and other American cars, not one a/c did that. So I had to assume it was German engineering. I had a problem with my door handle sticking and was told it was because I didn't wait long enough after unlocking the car to open the door. Beetle windows automatically go down an inch or two when the car is unlocked and they connected the handle problem with the window! That makes no sense at all. All in all, it seemed they were incompetent to fix any of my problems and then just blew me off with stupid explanations. My son, who loves VW's and has dealt with various dealership told me that Cooley was by far his worst experience and other dealerships did much better by him. I should have listened to him but Cooley was conveniently located and I figured how much trouble could a brand new car bring me? It is definitely the last time I will use this dealership for anything - purchases or repairs.

Been searching for my Mazda 3 hatchback; and the catch, had to be a manual and wanted the iGT package. Finally found exactly what I wanted at Cooley. Spent about 40 minutes on the phone on Friday finalizing the deal and picked up the next day. Had to drive an hour and 40 minutes to the dealer, but well with it. Huffy was great and made things happen quickly and smoothly. Was giving up my beloved Jetta TDI that consistently got in the high 40s MPF. The new 3 hatchback got 44.5 on my trip home. Great car, great dealer, great salesman! In my mid 60s and have bought a few cars and dealt with a number of salespeople. I general just hope to survive and tolerate the salesperson to get the car, But Huffy made this a good experience.

The staff at Cooley Motors is really amazing. Matt Panaro and his team are very professional and welcoming. I recently purchased a CX5 from there and absolutely love it!! I dealt with Lorna and she was wonderful!! I had my children with me and she was very patient and accommodating. Steve, who works in the finance department even came over and introduced himself as I was going through the process. Matt has a great team and I wish them lots of success!! I recommend going there and would purchase from here again.

Looked at buying a 2011 Subaru WRX hatchback Cooley had on their lot. Took it out for a test drive, and in 3rd gear, it threw a Check Engine Light. Still wanting the car, the GM told me they would not fix the car until i purchased it. They refused to even have the code read because "they were too busy." I found out the problem was supposedly a simple fix when I took the car to autozone to have the code read. Thinking it was nothing major, I put a small deposit on the car, at which time it was supposed to be fixed. Waited 2 weeks for the part to come in, and then another 5 days for the work to be done. The day I went to pick the car up, I took it out for a drive before signing anything, and low and behold, the problem was not fixed. Turns out the car had aftermarkert parts, and was not tuned for them, causing the car to overboost and hit fuel cut. At this point, they said they were taking the car to Subaru to have it fixed because they were not capable of doing so. The following day, I found a 2012 WRX with half the miles, completely stock, for the same price, which I ended up purchasing. When I went to Cooley to get my deposit back, I had everybody and their mother trying to get me to buy the car. When I was still slightly interested the day of the original pickup after the drive, they wouldnt budge on price, saying they just spent $1200 in repairs, which is not my problem. I was told I would have my deposit back in 24-48 hours. Then it turned into 72 hours, and then 3-5 days. 10 days later, and I dont have it, the latest excuse is their machine was down when I was given a refund. I will say the only bright side of this whole ordeal was my salesman Zach Espisito. He tried everything he could to get the car fixed asap, kept me updated just about every day on the progress of the deal. Wish I coudve given him a sale, but not as long as he is at Cooley. Stay Classy Cooley Motors.

I went to Cooley to purchase my first car. I don't have the best credit so I called ahead just to see if I would get approved. I was approved so I went to test drive some cars. The sales lady was nice but she was working two people at the same time so I had to wait a while in between cars. I was really nervous about buying a car as I had never done this before which I told the sales person and I didn't really feel at ease about it. I finally decided on a car and was sent to the financial department. I had to leave to get my down payment. I canme back the next day and all of the paper were ready to sign. When I gave them the down payment, they immediately asked me to sign the pink slip. We never once discussed the price of the car, my interest rate, warranty, etc. This made me very nervous so I asked about the details and the price was as listed, i had an extremely high interest rate, and a half ass warranty. My payment was almost $400 when I told them my budget was $300 a month. I asked him if he could lower the payment because I didnt feel comfortable about it and the best he could do was drop the warranty to an even worse warranty and lower my interest rate 1%. No deal. We went back and forth and I finally got a $300 payment with the highest warranty by adjusting the price and interest rate but I still didn't really feel like I got any kind of deal. The car was listed at 13900 and my total loan was for $15880 when it was all said and done. Even if you are not actually getting a deal, it would be nice to feel like you are. I still regret buying my car and going to this dealership and now I feel like I'm stuck.

I'm so happy I went to Cooley Motors to purchase my new vehicle (Mazda 3). The staff is so helpful, full of jokes, but really know their stuff. Danielle in sales, Kelsey in service are fast friends and great me personally when I have any type of service done on my vehicle. I would and will recommend Cooley Motors to any and all friends looking for a new car. No vulture feeling when you walk in. Fantastic!!!!

I had a 2011 Mazda 3 I leased from Cooley Mazda, lease to expire July 2014. In February 2014, I went to Cooley about looking into a new lease. I had 5 remaining payments on the initial lease. They told me in an effort to keep me as a Mazda customer, they would take back that car, increase the mileage on another lease, and I would only have to pay an early termination fee of the initial contract (was told it would be approximately $300 and would be billed to me). So I opted for another Mazda 3, and another lease contract. Imagine my surprise in May 2014 when I got a bill for $1,018.24 from Chase Auto Finance Corp for unpaid leasing payments. My new contract even states there were no past payments to be due. After contacting the sales person a couple of times, their story changed. Saying I was always responsible for the 5 payments from the initial contract. Why would I start a new leasing contract for the same type of car if I still had to pay 5 payments on the first car?? So much for customer loyalty!!!

I placed a on-line web inquiry, was responded to by a generic response as usual. I asked some initial vehicle specific questions that were answered. I decided to move forward with the vehicle, sent very detailed specific info that included my VIN, other info and HD pictures on my trade. I received nothing in response, I set aside the day to complete the transaction/trade and it was wasted, I re-emailed the sales person at the end of the day and received no response. I expect that my time not be wasted, and that I am valued as a customer and person. That does not happen at this dealership.

I do not recommend anyone to buy a car from Cooley Motors, they are unprofessional and rude. My boyfriend was ready to buy a brand new 2014 Mazda3 s Grand Touring and our sales person was pretty awesome. Unfortunately that couldn't make up for the poor mannered finance team and GM. We had agreed to get the car and they had to do their part with financing with out bank, well a week and a half later and we still don't have the car! Stating our frustration and wasting gas making multiple trips out to the dealer, we needed this to be resolved. Dealership kept blaming our bank, except they did not send the correct paperwork the bank required. The manager decided our business was not worth the hassle and canceled the sale. Clearly customer service is not that important to this dealership. Take your business elsewhere.

Stopped in to this dealership to look at a couple cars. The first one would not go into reverse, so out of the question. the second I was actually ready to buy except the fact that the price went up $1000 while I was test driving it was a bit like a bait and switch. They did a look over on my trade and offered me the KBB, but instead of looking at financing Dan tells me his boss had a bad experience with Volvo's and wasn't interested in my trade and told me to have a nice day. So if you own a Volvo don't bother heading to Cooley. So I obtained my own financing to the point of making the payment work to what I wanted while i was out of town on a business trip ( the deal was really only off about $800) Called Dan he was not available, left a voicemail i'd like to purchase the vehicle and to call me back. Still haven't received a call back. Found a better deal elsewhere on a better newer version of the car. Do your research these guys are way above their competition on price and don't negotiate.

I only buy a car every ten years or so and I do my research before I approach any dealership to start talking about the price and options. Before I went to Cooley, I actually went to two other dealerships in the area, and in both situations I felt not only that I was not being listened to, but that they told me one price and when we sat down to do the paperwork, the numbers were suddenly higher. In each situation I told them my concern and then walked away. I was extremely frustrated. I had received an e-mail from John Hanson at Cooley and called him. I told him the best price I had been quoted and asked if he could meet or beat that price. Within minutes he called me back and beat the price by a few hundred dollars. That afternoon I stopped by the dealership and the car was just what I wanted, and the paperwork reflected the numbers we had discussed. John was pleasant and did not waste my time. I pick up my new car tomorrow - after John picks me up at my house so that I don't need to find a ride - and I couldn't be more pleased.

We have purchased a used Nissan frontier which originally needed a few minor things done that we noticed. They replaced the tires as they were bald, the windshield because it was cracked, the breaks, and emergency break cable as it was broke. As we picked up the truck we noticed the window wasn't working correctly and then realized the heat wasn't working as well. We were told to call back to make an apt for the window and heat to get fixed and mentioned the nasty etchings in the paint that we did not notice at night when we originally looked at the vehicle. Made the apt and received the truck back in a few days. We were very happy with the paint being fixed and said that the one other spot we agree to take care of were the paint had been rubbed down to bare metal from a rack. When we left we noticed an airbag light on and soon again that the heat wasn't working still. We called them and because we lived an hour away they agreed to have us bring it to our local Nemer Nissan. doing so they found so many things wrong with the truck and said that it is not safe to drive. They found a radiator leak, plugged cat, tranny issues, and an oil pan leak. Cooley requested that they put in a used radiator because a new one would have cost them $900 and Nemer disagreed with the choice and that it should get a new one. So Cooley told us they were not a towing service and that we were going to have to drive it back to them so they can do the work. After bringing it to them when nemer didn't want us driving it they had it for a total of 7 days with no call and we had to call them to get any information. On the 11th day in a row of them having the truck they then call us to tell us that Nemer caused the airbag light and that they will only pay $200 towards an airbag module. Mind you this light was not on until after the first service they did. There were a few "choice" words said and my boyfriend hung up on them. Josh Sawyer states he is all about customers although after I tried calling to let him know it had nothing to do with Nemer and that the light was right on after their service he hung up on me!!!!!

I usually dread the car buying experience. This was by far the most straight forward and hassle-free vehicle purchase I have ever made. My salesman, Dan Durivage, was knowledgeable, patient & very low pressure. I actually had a good time looking for cars with him. He worked with me on my trade and helped me make a great deal on my Volkswagen. I came back to pick up the vehicle the deal was exactly what we had agreed to - very refreshing to not get the last minute surprise. The vehicle was spotless and he took the time to go over all of its features before sending me on my way to enjoy it. I will definitely go back to Cooley when it's time for my next car - if I ever part with this one!

Took my Touareg in for an issue. Dealership had no idea what they where doing and got it wrong. Requested a refund and they got nasty. I called the Herndon Group and they took care of the issue. Took the car to two other VW Dealerships in the Albany, NY area and they didn't have a clue. Finally took the truck to an independant VW/Audi service center and they got it right the first visit. They made me feel as if I was "bothering them.never agai,n will buy from someone that wants to really make people happy and comfortable with buying a car,!!!

I was planning on buying a car within the next year or so but then I totaled mine so the hunt was on. I hate buying cars, hate it. I went to about 5 places before I got fed up that I just wasn't going to find the car I wanted at the price I wanted. Then I read a KBB review of the top 10 cars under $8000. I wanted something with some cargo space, a small hatchback and the only one in that rating was the 2005 Mazda3 so I googled for one in my area and there it was. I instantly liked the style and color and it was listed at about $8500 on Cooley's website. I called and asked if was still available and it was. I walked in the next day when I was in the area and Vinnie came to show me the car. It was pretty obvious the car hadn't been moved in a while, a bunch of cars had to be moved to get it out BUT it started right up. I took it on a test drive and it handled beautifully. Vinnie asked if I wanted to buy the car and I said yes but I have conditions. One of those conditions is that my regular mechanic looks it over before I buy it. My mechanic is 50 miles from the dealership, but they agreed. I told Vinnie that's great but I wanted to sleep on it because I always want to sleep on big purchases. He set a price and it was a really good deal, but other than that, no high pressure. The next day I called Vinnie and said I want the car but I wanted to change the deal up and he agreed and came up with another good deal for me. I took the car to my mechanic and he only found a few cosmetic things, the systems were completely sound, lots of work had been done by the dealership and he was impressed. I brought the car back and Vinnie said it needed one thing fixed in order to pass NYS inspection and that part would be in on Monday and I could have the car Tuesday (today). Mid-day comes and I get word that the part isn't in and I have to drive that god-forsaken Nissan Turd rental until Thursday. Not only did I not want to pay for that rental 2 more days but I'd have to keep the rental until Friday because I was going out of town. I admit, I kind of lost my mind. I didn't swear but I told Vinnie "fix the problem" Vinnie said I'll call you back in 20 minutes. Vinnie called back and said I can get you the car by tonight, so he obviously "fixed the problem". They got the parts off another car and even added some additional parts that weren't included originally. I dropped off the rental and Vinnie picked me up and brought me to the dealership. They had detailed the car and it looked BRAND NEW. The price is exactly what I wanted to pay and the car drives like a dream. I don't know what other people expect but I expect a good value and good service and I got both. I will be a repeat customer and I will recommend Vinnie and Cooley to anyone I know shopping for a car.

Hands down the best experience ive ever had!!! I heard all the buzz goin around about the new mazdas so i thought i would give it a shot. Open for suggestions on the new skyactiv line, my sales person Huffy was extremely well educated and helped me check out each vehicle in detail (Mazda 3,6 and CX-5). After finally narrowing it down to which vehicle fit me best (mazda 6), they worked with me to get me to the payment i needed and from there the rest of it fell into place. After i had made my decision i was in and out of finance and into my new gorgeous before i knew it!! I was also introduced to the service department to make me feel more comfortable coming in to have my car serviced. For anyone looking for VW or Mazda i would highly recommend Cooley over other dealerships in the area, only because it has been a family owned dealership for decades and is a very laid back comfortable experience!! :)

I purchased a 2010 Jetta in September. It is the end of February and the brakes are completely shot. My father was going to fix the brakes for me & when he went to take the wheels off, he noticed the lug nuts required a special tool to take them off. He looked in the truck where the tool was supposed to be & it wasn't there. He also checked the glove compartment and the center console. I called Cooley Motors & was told I needed to speak with the person that sold me the car.His name is Huffy. I spoke to him and the general manager on speak phone about 7pm on a Wednesday night. The "GM" told me they could cut the special lug nuts off & put on regular ones that didn't require a tool. I advised him I wasn't comfortable driving the car w/ brakes as bad as mine were. They then suggested I have the car towed - I told them I refused to pay for a tow truck plus it would only get my car there, I would still need to drive the car back from the dealership with bad brakes. They said they would speak with someone in the parts department and get back to me.I heard from Huffy the next day. He again told me I could drive my car there or have it towed -I told him again my car was unsafe and I was not driving it. He said he'd talk to the parts department, again, and call me back. He called about 10 mins later & told me since my car is a Certified Pre-Owned, I have roadside assistance. I would just need to lie & say my car broke down & won't start so they would cover a tow to the dealership. But again, that means I would still need to drive an unsafe car 30 miles to bring it back to my parents house. I told him I could have my father take a picture of the lug nut so they could see exactly which tool I would need so they could see if they had an extra for me to borrow. Hours later I text Huffy 2 pictures. I had to text him an hour later & tell him I would like an answer back today so my dad could fix the car tomorrow. He finally called me and said they couldn't use the picture to find the exact tool I would need. He also told me again to have it towed. After hearing that for the 4th time & having to explain to him I was not comfortable driving an unsafe car for the 4th time, I got a little frustrated.I told Huffy this wasn't my fault that they sold me this car without this special tool & he needed to figure this out. I was at work, I've already taken 4 calls with still not result & the same suggestions. I said he needed to figure it out by the end of the day so my Dad can work on the car the next day.Huffy then said to me "you can figure this out on your own then. You're being pretty disrespectful. You can go f*xx your self"I will be the first one to admit, I can sometimes act irrational but I assure you, I was not this time. I obviously had a certain tone since I was so frustrated at this point but I did not curse or call him any names. I simply stated that it was not my problem & they needed to figure out how we can get the wheels off my car.I could not believe he actually said this to me. A customer, a woman!!I asked to speak to his manager & he told me I could call back & ask for .... (I don't remember the GM's name but I remember him from when I purchased the car & he was cocky & rude too)I am completely appalled that this man spoke to me like this. I will tell everyone I know to tell everyone they know NOT purchase a car from Huffy. This situation is now in the hands of Eric Cooley - we have to wait & see what the outcome is.

I was recently in the market for a new Volkswagen, and Cooley was a dealership that I considered doing business with. Like many of us do nowadays, I inquired about a car using the internet, which led me to a Cooley Motors salesman named Huffy. In the beginning, things went well; Huffy was friendly, and promptly answered any questions I had. He also provided me with a price quote, and stated that it was the very best he could offer me. I took him at his word, and soon found that a newer, higher volume VW dealership in the area could beat his offer. Naturally, I purchased from them. When I told Huffy of my decision, this was his reply:"Well Will you didn't give me an opportunity, so I guess you'll never know if we could of beat them, but thanks for running me around and not taking into consideration that selling cars is how I earn my living. In the future don't waste peoples time because we were 10 bucks less with some money down so with no money down it was basically the same deal... simple math.. enjoy your new car..."Whether it's for service on my new car, or the purchase of another VW in the future, I will not be dealing with Cooley. I only patronize dealerships that want to EARN my business, not feel entitled to it.

The sales department is out to get you. They will try to screw you on anyway possible. I was not happy nor do I trust them one bit. I was offered 13% interest rate because I needed to finance. I told them my bank I was associated with offered about 6%. The very same day they offered the same rate. I politely said no and wanted to stay with my current bank. They continued the talk negatively with the bank I was associated with because they are "notorious" with "stipulations" but I again wanted to stay with my bank. The next day the salesman continued to rag on my bank and said they could beat it by a percent. I don't know how much truth to this but continue to listen to him. He said his manager needed the truck I was interested in off the lot. He pressured me to get my bank the money, which I was not pleasant about at all. They made me feel that I was being an inconvenience to them because it was taking too long for them to get their money. This was within a 4 day period.

My First experience with Cooley Motors was Disappointing... I am a huge Mazda/VW fan (bought my first new Mazda in 1992) and one of my first cars was a VW. (Currently I have 2 VW's and 1 Mazda) I'm new to the area so I was pretty excited to find a dealer that dealt with both. I discovered the hard way that their Finance Dept is inept, enough to question the integrity of the establishment. At the final closing the Fi person inflated the price over MSRP by $900. I pointed this out to them, their first response was I must have added something to the vehicle...(No...) So after about 20 minutes it was cleared up. There was some other detailed discussion but only when I asked, he offered no details of the deal. At one point he even resisted my attempt to increase the payment (a bit odd I thought- but I got the impression he just wanted me to go away ASAP). Ok-- so now Deal 'Closed'. Went home looked at the paperwork again-- and noticed my Deposit (taken three days earlier wasn't on the contract) So I called the Fi Department 3 times over a couple of hours - they didn't return my call but my salesperson did- He told me it was a "good faith" deposit and it would be returned. About three weeks later I was contacted by the Fi Dept because I needed to return to re-sign paperwork. Apparently on the original printed where the Monthly Payment Due Date was "N/A". (don't get too excited my copy - the bottom carbon copy had no dealer sig's on it). I have/had my one month service scheduled for the 18th and asked if we could do it then. I was told it needed to be done asap because we were out of time...I explained my work rotation and I would get there when I could. I arrived on a Saturday-- My appt was on Monday (did one non business/bank day really matter?). They can't bill VW for service if the customer isn't there...(They'll figure that one out on the 18th) I returned to sign (and since my deposit hadn't been returned, I would inquire)-- The deal look the same.... But where's my deposit? When I asked the Fi person I was told that it was part of my first payment and they didn't like to show it on the books... Umm...Ok... So then we get to the discussion about when my first payment would be due (Didn't matter to me what day it's due) even though on the new contract it was printed "10th of each Month"... the Fi person tells me my payment is due on the 26th and repeated it several times...Ok... Why Fabricate a non issue? Reluctantly, I re-signed the contract. Returned home without my deposit - called the salesperson who sounded "surprised" I had not received my deposit back yet... Nor have I(Friday will be a month). It's been a very disappointing experience and more to the story, but I'm not attempting to write an iBook. It's not about the amount- more about the principle, of their lack there of... I would have thought after "40 years in business" they would be interested in building relationships and customers? With just one shot deals, fabrication of facts, and poor accountability practices in their organization, I doubt they will be around for another 40 years...

Originally walked in to talk about returning my leased Mazda. Josh Sawyer was very helpful - didnt try to pressure me about the lease return or to buy anything with him. The lease return experience was a breeze. I also found some excellent low-mileage cars that Josh was able to help me with and got a great deal on an '07 Lexus. They even helped me get a lower interest rate than the pre-approval that I had walked in with! Overall, it was a stress-free experience working with Josh and his team.

Cooley Motors made by car buying experience very easy and smooth. I have never had such a good experience buying a new vehicle, it went smooth, I left that day with my new vehicle, and am very happy. The entire staff was polite and very generous with their time..I would absolutely refer anyone looking for a new vehicle to start there...

Salesman mislead us stating that the vehicle we wished to purchase was in great condition. After traveling a few hours to see, the door was severely dented, tires mismatched and battery housing broken. I wish we would have walked then, but he gave us $1000 off the car. They then jacked us around for three hours closing on the car. We had check in hand to pay for it and they took forever. They told us they had a second key, but when we went to leave the key never existed. The first key didn't work well as the battery was nearly dead and held together by electical tape. Jason promised to send us a new key in the mail. He didn't and refused to when later called on it. I should have got it in writing. They are snakes, stay away from them.

We just bought our Mazda 3 at Cooley and had a great experience. I did the negotiating by e-mail and found the dealer very receptive. I got what I thought was a great price for a new 2012 Mazda 3. When I went in to pick up my new car the experience was smooth and trouble-free. I would definitely recommend this dealer to anyone.

I would reccommend not dealing with this dealership. The employees there are nothing but dishonest, sleezy, lying individuals who don't know what customer service is. My experience was horrible and I was decieved, lied to, given the "run around" and fooled around for hours on end. Don't waste your time dealing with these people, they will NOT serve you well.

Nagie was an excellent salesman to work with, but working with Jason was a horrible experience. He failed to do his job properly resulting in so many additional trips for myself back to the dealer, as well as our loan provider changing after we had ALREADY picked up our car and driven it around for 2 weeks because Jason didn't make sure everything was set before giving me the keys to the car. I am appalled at the lack of professionalism and thoroughness that i expected when dealing with a so called "reputable" dealer. You're better off getting a car elsewhere. If Nagie found another dealer to work at I think this would be a wise move on his behalf, because associating with such a poor dealership does not make him look well.

March 2012. they sold me my mazda speed 3 (that process was a whole circus in itself). i had them put new tires on my speed 3. they ended up causing gouges on two of the wheels and scratching the paint around the center caps on three of the wheels. they said they did not do it. my wheels are 18 inches and in pristine shape except for one curb rash scratch i did. the worst of the gouges are around a TPMS sensor they admitted they broke during the tire install. i looked at the wheels right after install, but could not see the damage until after i washed off all the lubricant on the wheels used during mounting. i guess i should have taken pictures before the install and washed them after the install at the parking lot to perform an "irrefutable" argument.NOT recommended for wheel or tire work. they did do a nice job evaluating my turbo though.i do my own oil changes, and a recent time under the car i say some minor oil staining under the engine. i thought the turbo or engine might be leaking. turns out it was dripping oil from a sloppy previous oil change i had them do (the only one they did due to some corroded bolts in the plastic guard under the engine i couldn't remove). so it only cost me $200 for them to pull some of the turbo apart to find out it was okay.

I am a planner and therefore I like to figure out what my next vehicle will be before I am ready to purchase it. My needs are very specific and I narrowed it down to two cars, one of them being a Mazda 5. I have never been in a Mazda 5 and wanted to make sure it was going to be the right car for me. I also want it with a manual transmission. There are only 2 in the whole capital district. So I stopped over to Cooley to take the vehicle for a test drive to see if I would like it or not. I made the mistake of being upfront with the sales men, letting him know what my intensions were with my visit. Realisticly i would not be ready to buy for another 6 months. He looked out the window, pointed to the demo vehicle in the parking lot and told me, it should be unlocked and go ahead and check that one out. I was so insulted. No business card, no test drive and i never even got to see the vehicle that was advertized that I came to Cooley to see. On my way out the door, two Cooley empployees were talking to each other behind one of the cars on the show room floor, one of them eating a bannana. They had to move out of the way inorder for me to leave the showroom to see the demo Mazda 5. The demo was dirty and obviously used. It looked like it had been used for 5 years, parked in the parking lot and used as a demo. I hope I never have to deal with Cooley again.

I bought a brand new Mazda 3. I made sure to let all involved that I buy a new car every 2 years so I did not need any extra fluff. I got a great payment to start but then sat with the "closer" for the fluff. He told me if I paid for the etching that my insurance savings would pretty much pay for the cost of that extra payment in my monthly payment. Once I got the car and talked to my insurance agent, that was not the case. They also told me they would give me a full detail package afterwards, which I asked for, and never happened. Seems like they all are all about the sale, and no follow up after the sale. They promise and seem to be just a shell of what they actually say. If everything was great with the car and not being upsold on something I did not need and I feel my payment is $40-$50 higher for something that is not worthwhile.

Brian remained in touch with me during that time, but he just checked in with me periodically and did not come across as being pushy. Brian was very patient with me throughout the whole experience. The purchase of my car was quick and easy. They offered the best price in the area and I found the manager to be easy to talk to and friendly. My car was clean and everything was ready to go when I came to pick it up. This made me extremely happy, since I had an awful experience with a local Honda dealer when I picked up my Civic years ago. We purchased our first " new "vehicle" at Cooley Motors , a 2007 Mazda 6 gt and we have had a Wonderful experience with the car..we have brought it back to Cooley for all inspections and tune-ups during the 4 years that we have owned the vehicle...It was time to bring the car in for it's 25,000 mile tune-up and we started looking around in the show room and found ourselves really enjoying the look of the 2011 Mazda 6 SGT..in Sangria Red...we had often talked during the 4 years since purchasing the2007 Mazda that it might be smart for us to think about trading it in for a brand new model early into the life of the car but as we approached Cooley Mazda last week to drop off our 2007 Mazda 6....little did we think we would be considering the purchase of a new 2011 model before leaving the building...which is exactly what happened ...Joe Amash approached us in a friendly helpful manner...Not the slightest bit pushy-which probably would have had us "out the door" in seconds. He seemed to appreciate exactly where we were at in this decision making process and offered to just walk us through the numbers and gather information as to what we might want in a newer model of the car we were already so happy and pleased with...we went into his office and he pulled the Model up on the computer screen and we all went to work formulating exactly what car was for us....this all took place on Tues. and Wednesday nights and we had our brand New Mazda 2011 by Friday 11 am....Joe Amash was knowledgeable , friendly, courteous, throughout-taking the time to walk us through all of the fine new details and up grades that we were about to experience in our Beautiful New Sangria Red Mazda 6 SGT 2011...We would Highly recommend Joe Amash and Cooley Motors to anyone considering the purchase of a beautiful, reliable new vehicle...Thank You Joe and Cooley Motors !!

Nagie was friendly he knew what he was talking about. We test drove the car he answered all our questions and he sold us on the car. After the purchase of the car he called to see how everything was going and if we had any issues or questions about the car. We truly felt that he cared.Cooley's fiance officer however is a different story he made it sound like we were going to get the .9% interest rate at least that's what Nagie told us he was doing. He gave us a false sense of security the car was registered under our name the plates were put on, the detailing was done and the tank was filled and pulled up along side the building ready to go. They knew we wanted the car and that we didn't have much time to shop for a car, that's when after spending 7 let me state that again SEVEN hours waiting for the paperwork he (fiance officer)came out and said I did everything I could and unfortunately I could only get you the 4.9% interest rate. WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS? It's my belief that the fiance officer knew immediately that we were not eligible for the .9% and should have stated it right away. Maybe we would have went another way maybe a used car or perhaps another dealership and another make such as a Subaru. I felt that choice was taken away from us. Now I'm suffering from buyers remorse and if I had to do it again I would talk to the fiance department first.Buyers beware how many times have you heard that?

I went to Cooley VW looking for used cars available on the lot and after looking through available options I settled on a vehicle that was twice my budget. The salesman (Brian) was very patient, and literally showed me every vehicle on the sales lot that I had some sort of interest in. Eventually I settled on a (hardly) used GTI autobahn package and could not be happier. Being a new car buyer at 20 years old, I have no credit history. Mike in finance fought hard to get me a loan, at 8.99% this may seem high but planning to pay it off over a 2 year period will lower the interest costs a bit. On final inspection, the "G" on the GTI emblem was missing, and when I picked the car up Brian had one ordered for me before I went it. Overall this was a great dealership to go to, without pressure from a pushy sales guy or "Bargain Deal" signs everywhere. The prices at Cooley are very competitive, so every car may be considered average or lower than average price.

Finding the right car in general was an overwhelming experience, but ultimately my final stop was at Cooley and I am glad I waited to purchase from Cooley. I had done a lot of research at this point and I knew what used cars they had on the lot and had already compared prices, so I was comfortable with the "deals". Once I arrived I had a pleasant buying experience. Friendly, accommodating, listened to what was important to me in a car, made suggestions, and found a good deal. Were they pushy? Pushy isn't the right word. I always felt I could say no, absolutely, but they are still in the business to sell, so they sold. I also was ready to buy, I was no longer in my simply test driving phase. I also just like the dealership in general, not just the salesperson I was working with. I got a chance to meet people there, meet with the financial guy, see the service department, know what services they offer. That is important to me for not just my business now, but for service visits and future purchases. Then, the actual "buying" part was great. There is lots of paperwork, but it is always explained, questions can be asked, etc. They made it exciting for my "new car day" and of course it was very shiny and clean. When they went over the extra warranty options, etc, I didn't feel pressured, they were well explained (and I do ask questions), and I did add on some, but not all of the options. Overall I would recommend the dealership. I hope my service experience is just as good, as they have impressed me enough to try the service department.

Cooley VW and Mazda were interesting to try to close a deal with. The salesperson that I worked, with, Mr. John Lefebvre, is a nice, sincere, no pressure guy. He immediately offered me a test drive. In fact, two. But, if you do decide to go there, there are at least two things to be aware of. If you are in a current auto lease and the salesperson suddenly offers to make the last one, two, or even three payments for you to get out of your lease early so that s/he can sell you a car, that sounds really terrific, right? BUT.....these gifts get tacked onto your new vehicle monthly lease payments. Secondly, if you are looking for a Touareg, they can, and I quote: only find ones that have trailer hitches. REALLY GUYS? And, again I quote: these models are hard to get. Once more, REALLY? Wow. Hmmm. Humph!Does VW know all about the trailer hitch over population and the hard to get Touareg models? Why isn't VW doing more to resolve those two issues? It is for the last two reasons that I decided to go shopping elsewhere. But, you may not want to. On the plus side, they do seem to be a decent group and the service center did look pretty sharp.

Bought a used Nissan Maxima from this dealership - over the summer the AC pump broke down late Saturday afternoon while I was in Virgina, I had bought a 1 yr mechanical warrantee - the Nissan Dealer in VA replaced the AC Pump which I paid for but the warrantee coverage did not apply because I needed to call for an ok from the insurance co for coverage first. My fault to some degree but $1,000.00 in repairs plus the costr of the Extra Coverage. Cooley did call the insurance co, but said there was nothing else they could do. So I have paid for coverage that seems to have loop holes.

This dealership is very bad. They lie blatantly about their sales. My first experience was when i bought a used VW and the dealer told me that i had to buy the extended warranty to be eligible for the car loan. they duped me badly. This was my first car experience. The next time i went there to just do a price match on a new VW, they tried pressurizing me tremendously to buy the car. Even the main boss came out of his office to convince me to put money down. <br><br>Never again. They have extremely poor business ethics. My boss also happened to buy a car from them and regrets his decision of the dealer he used.
