My 80 year old father bought his Kona at Coughlin last weekend. The salesman was so nice an respectful. He was very helpful and made buying a new vehicle a good experience! I had an amazing experience!! Our sales Rep Jaime Nott was so helpfull and NICE!! Also Jackson in the finace department was hilarious!! They really made my husband and I feel like family!! Then when I had a little hiccup all I did was call in and talk to Gary the manager and he sent the Jaime right out and got us all fixed up. Best car buying experience we have ever had!!!

We called Jaime Nott about a Ford Explorer, 2008 model. Something I could afford and I wanted it to be dependable. When we got there, Jaime had the vehicle cleaned and ready for us to test drive. I recently returned to Coughlin Hyundai of Heath to purchase my seventh Hyundai. This was my 2nd. purchase at Coughlin and I am so glad I returned. The sales and finance staff at Coughlin are professional and respectful of their clients. My salesperson listened to my needs and was informative and thorough in meeting my needs. He was also aware and diligent in completing my transaction in a timely manner. The low pressure sales process was customer friendly and greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend Coughlin Hyundai to family and friends. I will return when it comes time for another car purchase.

Please keep an open mind as you begin to read this review, it gets better I promise. I had bought a 2009 Mini Cooper S from Coughlin Hyundai in Heath, Ohio. They did everything they could to get me that vehicle. Sadly the vehicle didn't start after having it for barely a week, Coughlin worked on it and paid for all the expenses considering the circumstances. After having the vehicle back it had to go to the shop again for minor issues, again they took care of everything and helped me out a lot. After getting the vehicle back a second time, it ended up not starting again. Very flustered I called Joe at Coughlin and he helped me get the new Mazda that I am currently driving, no money out of pocket and is towing the Mini Cooper away from my house for free also. Overall very pleased with how they handled my situation, as awful as it was. They were outstanding and I understand that it was the vehicle that was bad, not them. Even though I bought a vehicle "as is" with no warranty whatsoever, Coughlin helped me get into a new car that I love with no hassle because they understood the situation.

Our 1 year old Tuscan was totaled in an accident, and we had a short period of time to find another car. We wanted a certain package that the dealership did not have in a car. Chip went over and above to find what we needed. We are very pleased with this salesman and the dealership. Jackson was very helpful with the financing and having the warranty transferred.

At 77 years of age it became necessary for me to acquire a safe vehicle. I had never purchased a car before. I was prepared to look at a used car. The salesman greeted me as I parked my car. He was friendly but not pushy. I told him my interest and even though I had money down, he was able to provide a lease for a new car at an acceptable monthly payment. The fact that we did this on my birthday made it a very memorable experience.

Took 2012 Genisis in for a/c issue. It was checked, coolant with dye added and $170 and I was out the door. Month later, not properly cooling again and transmission was acting up. I have the certified used vehicle wrap around contact that covers almost everything for 10 years/100,000 miles. I have 66,500 miles on it and gave them the contract to review. Was told the condenser was cracked on a/c and warranty wouldn't cover it. They wanted over $600 to repair it. I told them I wasn't doing that right now. Then they said an adaptive valve needed reset on transmission. So, $117 later, I'm out the door again. Transmission was worse than it had been. Called them. They said it needed to relearn. Called the warranty dept, told them the whole story, and they told me the condenser is covered, even if it's cracked, and they were not contacted by service dept. to even check. They asked if I get post service surveys and I told them I don't. They found that very unusual. They told me I might want to get another service advisor, so my car is going to Columbus next week and after many years of doing business with them, I'm done. This car is a CPO and I have put only 11,000 miles on it since I bought it. I should not be having all these issues.

We have now purchased four vehicles from Coughlin Hyundai and would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone. The sales team is cordial, professional and helpful, and we especially like working with Tom Willard - - we think he's absolutely tops as a salesperson. Tom is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and helpful. We originally purchased a 2009 Santa Fe and a 2010 Tucson from him, and within the past few weeks have traded those cars in on a 2017 Santa Fe and a 2014 Santa Fe. Another reason why we like Coughlin Hyundai is the excellent Service Department. Audra and Steve do a super job and are very good communicators. The Hyundai warranty is a wonderful feature, as well. Everything was good with the dealership except the finance guy's attitude changed when I declined the extra things he was trying to sell me. Also, when we picked the vehicle up it was not cleaned as I would have expected it to be. There were stickers and plastic wrap on different parts of the vehicle. It was obvious that someone didn't take much time detailing the vehicle. But, the buying experience was positive and I can clean a vehicle - so not a big deal overall.

Our experience with Coughlin Hyundai is off the charts. The sales process was great. Chip Price, our salesman was fair and above board. I felt he was advocating for us throughout the sales process and I felt entirely comfortable with the purchase. But it didn't end there. We started encountering some transmission issues that we took to a more local Hyundai dealership with no improvement. I replied as such to one of Chips several follow-up emails and he convinced me to bring it in (which is a 2-hour drive for us). I also had some fender bender body work to be done which is done at another Coughlin location. Chip coordinated the entire experience between the body shop and the service department, I didn't have to worry about a thing once I got it there. That leads to the incredible work of the service department. I ended up having a flawed transmission. Steve in service, with Chip still in the picture, advocated for me and without any formality or pressure or letters or appeals, he worked with the Hyundai engineers and was able to get a whole new transmission for the car... under warranty. I got the car back, cleaner than when I left it, with the body work done, a new transmission, and a VERY satisfied Coughlin Hyundai customer.

I emailed Coughlin about a Sonata and an Azera I saw listed on their webpage. Got a reply the same day from Shawn Fosnaugh. I called and talked and set up a time to see the vehicles. Both were extemely nice and I was torn between which to choose. Shawn offered to let me take one home so my wife,who was at work , during my test drives could test drive it I declined but was able to get my wife back to the dealership that evening. After she test drove both cars we decided the Azera was the right choice.We completed all paperwork in less than an hour and after woking wih Jackson ,head of finance we drove home that night with our new Azera. A GREAT CAR. Shawn followed up with a promise he made to get an additional key fob within 2 days. Now all I have to do is go get it programed.I would strongly recommend taking a nice drive to Heath and visit with Shawn or any of their sales staff for a simple ,no hassle, quick buying experience.

I found Caughlin online at Cars.com while searching for a new Hyundai Santa Fe and worked with Tom Willard over the phone about what I was looking for and the cars I looked at so far. Tom worked with finance which called me to see about changing from a Limited model to the GLS model with the Ultimate package which put the vehicle into the price I wanted to spend. We bought my son a sonata. On his way home from South Carolina his check engine light came on. We took it to this dealership because it was still under warranty. They turned it off and said it was nothing. It came back on before we got home. We took it back and they said it would take a week to get the part and then they would have to send it to California. My son had to return to South Carolina for his teaching job and took my car. We have asked for a loaner they said none were available. How are we suppose to be with out a car for this lengthy period.After another request they did give us a loaner car.

I was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 which I loved and had no problems with. I received an offer letter from Coughlin Hyundai of Heath Oh, so I called and put in a credit application. Traveled there and was basically told that I couldn't get a car due to negative equity left in my G6. I was okay with it because I really loved my G6 and I wasn't looking to buy another car prior to the letter I received. I went home and a couple of hours later my salesmancalled and told me that I was approved for a brand new Elantra 2014. I was very happy but reluctant to leave my G6. Once I arrived at the dealership that Monday and I saw my new car I fell in love. I signed my papers and now I am a proud owner of a new Hyndai. I had made several calls to another dealer and could never get a return call. I needed an oil changed and the pump for my windshield washer fluid replaced in my 2011 sonata. The other dealer had looked at the pump, cleaned the lines and said it was fine. The pump was still under warranty, makes me wonder if that was why I was so easily brushed aside. However when I called coughlin, it felt as if I was the first person to call. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and willing to take care of my car. Wednesday, May 21st. we went to Coughlin Hyundai for a scheduled oil change and while waiting, we went over to check out the new cars. We are leasing, so we asked is it possible to trade up if we still have 6 months on our current lease? They said yes, let us see what kind of deal we can offer you. We were driving an Elantra Limited, getting excellent mileage, but it was going to need some things done that would cost us out-of-pocket. We were very shocked to be told they could move us up to a 2014 Sonata and our payment actually went down by a couple of dollars per month! We were very pleased and picked up the car 2 days later. Shawn and his crew did not give up until we found that car that had the "WOW Factor"! So instead of me driving off in a Pre-Owned Sonata, he managed to get me into a brand new 2013 Sonata Turbo (yeah, it was the turbo that put a big smile on my face), and with the help of his finance guy Joe Eippert, we where able to get everything within a payment that I was comfortable with. Shawn and Joe both took the time to explain everything, from the warranty (what it covers, and what it doesn't), to the finance part, which I usually hate, but Joe made it really easy. By the time I left, I was VERY satisfied with the whole process. These guys don't give up until the customer is happy! I was in need for a new vehicle following an accident in August. I sent my information out to the Hyundai dealers in the area and Shawn Fosnaugh responded in about 10 minutes after the email was sent out. He quickly set up a time for me to come in and test drive the vehicles I was interested in. When I didn't find the one I wanted, he quickly went online and located exactly what I was looking for and said it would only take a day to arrive. Well somehow the exact vehicle came in on the delivery truck the following week and he immediately let me know that the 2013 Marlin Blue Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T with gray interior had arrived. Joe in finance worked with me, as well as James the manager, to make my experience very easy and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted without any hassles. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone that wants a no nonsense car buying experience! For the information of future readers...I marked "Quality of Work" as NA because I haven't had to have any work done yet, but I have a good feeling that the service department will be just as concerned with customer satisfaction as the rest of the Coughlin Hyundai Team of Heath!

*** DETAILED AND THOROUGH REVIEW ***(Background) ---I recently purchased a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT Auto in Bright Milano Red from Shawn at the Hyundai Location for Coughlin Cars. My experience was more than memorable and surpassed any other experience I have had in ANY dealership, in ANY city, in ANY state. I have to stress that I am extremely educated in the automotive field and have an embarrassing amount of shopping experience in a variety of different dealerships - I have purchased from "Mom & Pop" Dealerships in the middle of nowhere and from reputable dealerships that claim to have the "Highest Ratings in Customer Satisfaction". A lot of shoppers today are understandably concerned with the honesty and integrity of dealers - especially with high volume dealerships. With the available technology and mass amounts of data available on online it has become more and more of a challenge for car dealers to get "one up" on the buyer. Most dealers will make buyers feel like THEY are the bad guy when you the buyer could possibly be putting thousands in their pockets. Every member of the Coughlin Cars community from Shawn my dealer, to Jo the branch accountant, to the employees at the front desk made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The level of genuineness and honesty that was executed could have been mistaken to that of a Bed N' Breakfast. Shawn was accommodating but not pushy, attentive but not overbearing. He provided me with printed documents and had Carfax Vehicle History Reports on his desk when I arrived with highlighted points that may be important to me about the particular vehicle. His goal was to get me in a car for the right price for ME - not what made HIM the most money. The approach that Coughlin cars seemed to have was the buyers satisfaction over their own. I knew so much about the market value of the cars I was interested in it wasn't even funny and the prices to which Coughlin's vehicle were set had nearly 10% difference from other surrounding dealers in the columbus area. (Step by Step Experience) ---The 11th of August I made an Appointment with Shawn to test drive a few vehicles.Shawn did not overwhelm me with phone calls and emails that dealers love to call "Follow Throughs" nor did he influence me in any way to commit to any numbers before or during my arrival. The 16th of August, Upon arrival, Shawn had the vehicles I was interested in (1 hour before my set appointment time) detailed and positioned with plenty of room right in front of the main entrance. The cars had keys in the ignition and were ready for me to inspect. I walked inside and Shawn was on the phone so I had a brief awkward situation where alone I waited for my salesperson. IMMEDIATELY I was offered water and even given a dollar bill to use the pop machine just in case I wanted to wet my whistle. Not a huge a mount but huge generosity considering they had no idea who I was or what I was there for. Shawn promptly addressed mw with a firm handshake and an honest smile. He walked me out to the vehicles I was interested in and quickly gave me a detailed yet brief and efficient overview of the vehicles I was interested in. Every vehicle on the lot was clean and appeared to be in near perfect condition - definitely a quality selection of reliable and well rounded cars. I test drove each car with Shawn waiting for me every time I returned quickly changing the plate from one car to the next. When i returned from the test drives Shawn had every piece of documentation as well as discounted prices for me to consider before moving onto a decision for negotiation and financing. If you are an experienced car shopper you might be familiar with the "What do you want your payments to be?" tactic.... I cannot stand this. Shawn did not once use that tactic on me nor did he even so much as discuss a payment until we came to a conclusion on a good price for my car that BOTH of us could agree on. He didn't take me down different avenues and approaches nor did he pressure me to make a decision AT ALL. Shawn actually helped me get into a care that was MORE suiting for me and better on my budget. When he could tell that I was stressing, he gave me space and walked away, when he could tell that I needed more information he provided it without request. After settling on a deal we began running my credit for finance. In every dealer in every city and in every state I was pre approved for a little over 5% APR. Jo the branch accountant went to bat for me for nearly 2 hours getting me the best rate - he included me in every detail and step along the way and made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision process. For some reason Jo could not get me approved for a rate anywhere close to my current APR offers from other dealerships - we found this was because I had about 100 hard inquires from irresponsible dealers running hard hits instead of soft hits for better results. It had brought my credit score down over 30 points which put me in a whole bracket down on the credit graph. Jo then on his own dime contacted my personal banker and did an ENTIRE days work negotiating with the high ranked managers of JP Morgan and my branch to boot. In the time that this took I nearly created a relationship between several employees sharing life stories, opinions, and even how we felt about particular bar scenes. The whole experienced felt somewhat like a country club. I mean I always had a drink In my hand - was offered lunch - and stood around having conversations with various employees from managers to service mechanics to other dealers. I left later that day with a little hope and progress. I wanted the car BAD, and not only did I want that car - there was a couple cars priced so well I was considering upgrading!!! I returned the following afternoon after going through another AMAZING experience with Chase bank. (IF YOU NEED A LENDER USE CHASE, my lender was Chris at the Delaware branch on Sandusky St. 430145) I had a 5% APR Loan but not for the amount Shawn and I had agreed upon. Instead of Shawn responding with disgust and dissatisfaction with my outcome - after all the xxxx I put the dealership through - he told me he was going to do whatever he could to put me in my dream car. Shawn called me back with the manager on the phone, he congratulated me an closed on a deal. I drove 2 hours out to Heath, OH as fast as I could and about 30 minutes after my arrival I had the keys to my dream car!! of course when I arrived the car was detailed and ready to go for me - He congratulated me and made me feel like I just won the car. I was basically throwing the money at him I was so satisfied and excited. Nearly every employee i had met the day before gave me a quick hand shake and a good luck - just another piece of awesomeness that Coughlin provided - I left KNOWING I made the right decision.I took a picture with my car an invited Jo, Shawn, and his Family to dinner on me - maybe a couple drinks for me and Jo - He's a coolest accountant you'll ever meet. Im sitting here smiling just writing this review. I will continue to refer my friends to Coughlin and I hope MY kids buy from Coughlin Cars. My experience was that of the highest in customer satisfaction and professionalism. I would recomend this dealership to new, experienced, and tainted buyers. If you are looking for a new car its worth waiting for one at Coughlin - I spent nearly 6 month shopping for a new car - 2 of those months with NO car. Im no easy sell and Shawn alongside the rest of the Coughlin Cars family sold me for life. Thank you Shawn, Jo, and the rest Of the Coughlin Cars Community!!!

I took my 2009 Hyundai accent here because I was having problems with it. They told me my engine was about to blow and that I needed to replace it. It turned out that it only needed a fuel injector replaced. Luckily I took it to another place that actually knew what they were talking about. Be very careful when taking your car here.

This dealership and members were very freindly when i walked in the door with a greating a hand shake and pointed me in the right direction on who could help me with a car purches.Greg Chittenden the sales manager greated me with a frim hand shake and welcomed me to the dealership and then directed me to Shawn fosnaugh the internet sales manager gathered up my paper work we laughed abouth other dealer ships that were poor in service and told me how they never treat there guest with disrespect and they dont!So it ended with the finance manager she gathered everything up they gave me my keys to my new car took my picture for there facebook page and i headed out to drive my new car this place was great i would recomend this place to family and friends!Thanks Coughlin Team for helping me out!

We called before making the trip to Newark and talked to Shawn and he reviewed the inventory with us. We decided to make the trip to Newark and we were not disappointed. Shawn was very patient with us and he had several deals going at once. Even though he was very busy we felt well taken care of. We bought a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and received a very fair deal. I was in the market for a car for a few different reasons I looked for a couple weeks and They were the most friendly and understanding and went above and beyond to help me in any way they could. After being approved threw them they worked with me until I found a car that I was happpy with and how to improve my credit since I didn't get the exact car that I wanted I am very happy with things overall. I also will return after paying for 18 months on the car to trade it in and just maybe then I will drive away in the car I plan on being with for years to come. Went to this dealer and delt with Shawn ans Susan. These 2 bent over backwards to help me find a car I liked and could afford! I was looking at a particular Sonata, but it didn't work out for me. They managed to get me a fully loaded 09 Sonata LTD! I didn't even look at this car at first due to the fact I thought I wouldn't be able to afford it, but somehow they worked their magic and got me in this car, and with payments that I can afford! I cant thank them enough for what they did for me! I'm telling everyone I know that's looking for a car to see them first before going anywhere else! I usually don't do these, but I gotta give credit when it's due.

LOVE IT! We looked hard at the Ford Fusion, in addition to the Sonata, and we would have gotten some desired features on the Fusion that we did not get on the Sonata (blind spot indicators - consider for next model year), but we fell in love with the sleek look and feel of the Sonata. Plus, we cannot say enough about the navigation system. We traveled about 400 miles the first weekedn we got the car, and what fun to drive. The Fusion deal was less money, but my salesman and finance person worked their magic and got me into the Sonata for the rock bottom APR, and I am only paying about $10 more per month over what I had been paying for four years on a Rogue. This was the first time we traded in a vehicle that we still owed money on - we tend to drive the wheels off our vehicles - and I can't tell you how nice the experience was. Like the assurance that if we do need service, we'll be able to get a loaner car. And love knowing that there are evening and Saturday hours. Would definitely recommend this dealer and this car! (our second Coughlin purchase - worth the drive from Zanesville)

Susan really knows her stuff and she doesn't mind going the extra distance to help you. She gets a good idea of what you are looking for, what you can afford, then starts bringing it together.
