Given we live 3 hours away from Cox Mazda, most of our deal was done over the phone and via text before we arrived. We were so turned off by a few of our local dealers, so started researching other dealers that had the car my daughter wanted in stock. We found Cox Mazda and decided to give them a call. Mark was my first point of contact, and from the get go, made everything extremely easy. He was so professional and accommodating during the entire process. From the first call, there was no doubt that Cox is where we would be going. Mark made this deal happen for my daughter and she is so excited with her new Mazda3 hatchback. We all know that typically the entire process can be exhausting, but that was not the case. We made the drive from Jupiter, arrived at Cox, and were gone in about an hour! Mark also took the time to sit in the car for quite a while and show my daughter all of the car's features and explained them in detail. No matter where you are, make the drive, go see Mark and you will be so happy you did!!

UPDATE: Kelly Cox came through! He honored the 90 day warranty and refunded the money I paid to repair the timing chain. I appreciate them doing what was right! I recently purchased 2013 BMW X3 from Cox Mazda at the beginning of July. My 1st test drive a warning light appeared. I wasn’t going to purchase the vehicle but after the service department found the problem I was promised it issue was fixed. Test drive again and all seemed fine. A week after purchasing the vehicle the light came on again. I proceeded to file a claim with the 90 day warranty company, who stated they have not received any such warranty. I contacted Cox Mazda, was told they sent the paperwork over and to wait a week. Waited a week and the warranty company still doesn’t not have the paperwork. A rep from the warranty company stated they only need to file it on line. I just want to get the car repair that should be covered by the warranty promised however all I am getting is a run around.

We had an excellent experience with Cox Mazda, from our phone contact to signing the lease papers. Carl Carpenter, the dealer who worked, was friendly, frank, respectful and informative. We knew we wanted a Mazda 6 and what we wanted to pay. Carl met our expectations without too much of that back-and-forth sit- here-for-20-minutes-while-i-pretend-to-bargain-with-the-manager schtick. There was follow-up after our first showroom visit, but there was never pressure. Carl clearly loves the product and was able to answer all our questions and explain the many communication and safety features of the Mazda 6. Is it a surprise that both his name start c-a-r?

I have been a loyal Mazda owner for 16 years and currently own 3 Mazdas. When we were ready to trade in our 2013 CX-5 Grand Touring, we knew exactly what we wanted to get: a 2016 CX-5 in a very specific trim and options package.Our experience with COX Mazda started out fine, but quickly declined to the point that we ended up having to drive 5-hours (round trip) to a different Mazda dealer, just to buy the car we wanted.We went to COX Mazda on a Sunday and met with a sales rep. He was friendly, not pushy, and an overall nice guy. We told him we wanted to trade our current CX-5 for a new one, and said we were very specific in the configuration we wanted. They didn't have that exact configuration, so I thanked him for his time and went home. That night I looked online and found the exact CX-5 I wanted at another Mazda dealer. I emailed the listing (which included all the details and the VIN number) to the COX Mazda sales rep. He said they could get the car from the other dealer and we just needed to come in to have our trade appraised and put down a deposit.Tuesday night we took our car to be appraised. They gave us a great offer for our trade. They also put a pricing worksheet in front of us with a specific price for the car we wanted to buy. It seemed cheaper than I was expecting. I asked the sales manager multiple times, "This price is for the exact car that I sent you, correct?" He assured me that it was correct. He said I would need to put down a $500 deposit and took my credit card. Before I handed over my car, I said, "To confirm: this $500 deposit is for the car at the other dealer -- this specific/exact car, with this VIN number. And you have already spoken with the other dealer to make sure you can get it?" Again, the sales manager assured me that #1 it was for the car with that VIN, and #2 they had already contacted the other dealer to obtain the car. We signed the pricing worksheet and shook hands on the deal and the sales manager ran my credit card for $500. He provided me a receipt for the transaction but failed to list all of the required information about the terms of the deposit.The next day I got a call from the sales rep at COX Mazda. He said that they contacted the other dealer to arrange for delivery of the new car, but there had been a mistake with the listing and the specific car had "the wrong color interior" and so they would need to fine me another car and renegotiate pricing based on the specs of the new car. This threw up a red flag. I instantly contacted the other dealership and asked them to verify the interior color -- within minutes the sales rep at the other dealer sent me photos of the car's dash VIN and of the interior, which was the correct color. I then contacted Mazda corporate and had them decode the VIN, which they reported as having black interior. Next I contacted COX Mazda and explained they were mistaken, and the interior color was correct. They said they would call me back, and when they did, they said that the vehicle had additional options (the Tech Package) that were not in the price we negotiated, so they would need to renegotiate a new price...Clearly what happened is the sales manager did not properly review the listing for the vehicle, did not realize it had the Tech Package, and gave me a price that was too low. Once they realized their error, they attempted to redirect me to a new car (and renegotiate) by claiming the interior was the wrong color -- a flat out lie. Furthermore, I spoke with my attorney who informed me that the dealer broke Florida law by accepting a deposit on a vehicle without entering into a binding agreement, and that they were obligated to obtain the vehicle for me at the price they offered. I spoke with the senior sales manager who said he would refund my deposit, and claimed that the other dealer wouldn't sell them the car anymore. It seemed like they were trying to wash their hands of the problem so I reached out to Kelly Cox, one of the owners.Kelly returned my call Friday morning and I explained the whole story. He apologized for my experience and wasted time, and said he would get to the bottom of it and make things right. He said he would follow up with me before the end of the day but I did not get a callback or message.The next day we drove to the other dealer (2.5 hours away) to purchase the vehicle directly. It was a fast and easy process and the other dealer did a great job from start to finish.On Monday, Kelly Cox returned my call. He admitted that #1 his sales reps screwed up, #2 that they lied to me when they realized their screw up, and #3 that they "may have broken the law" when they accepted a $500 deposit without following the legal guidelines that mandate a binding agreement for a specific vehicle. He was very friendly and apologetic and said he wanted to "make it right" by me so they could earn my business in the future.After we got off the phone, I got an email with a $25 gift card to Outback Steakhouse.So in the end, I wasted dozens of hours of my time, put $500 cash on the line (it was eventually refunded), was flat-out lied to, and had to drive 5 hours round trip to another dealer. For my wasted time / frustration / inconvenience, COX Mazda sent me a $25 gift card to a restaurant that I don't even like. I suppose COX Mazda thinks dinner-for-one ($25 certainly won't cover dinner-for-two) somehow makes up for all of my wife's and my wasted time (and money).As a side note, anyone else who is asked for "a deposit" on a vehicle that is not in the dealer's possession, here's what Florida Law states:2015 Florida Statutes: Title XXXIII, Chapter 501, Section 976 "Actionable, unfair, or deceptive acts or practices."It is an unfair or deceptive act or practice, actionable under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, for a dealer to: (10) Require or accept a deposit from a prospective customer prior to entering into a binding contract for the purchase and sale of a vehicle unless the customer is given a written receipt that states how long the dealer will hold the vehicle from other sale and the amount of the deposit, and clearly and conspicuously states whether and upon what conditions the deposit is refundable or nonrefundable. (15) Increase the price of the vehicle after having accepted an order of purchase or a contract from a buyer, notwithstanding subsequent receipt of an official price change notification. [...]

I would recommend Cox Mazda to anybody looking for a new vehicle. After 13 years with the same car, I was hesitant about the car-buying experience, and concerned about being pushed into making decisions by sales-people. My experience at Cox Mazda couldn't have been further from that, and the staff, especially Mike Johnston, were fantastic! I went in at near-closing time one evening after driving down from Tampa. Even though they were about to close, Mike took us for a test-drive of a Mazda 3, and never made us feel rushed. I returned that weekend, and ended up purchasing the car that I test-drove. I never felt pushed into making any decisions, and the entire sales time was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great experience, and love my Mazda 3!

As with our other three cars, this was an excellent experience also. First let me send a big thank you to our salesman, DAVID STUBBERS. It was a pleasure to work with David. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, personable and easy to work with. He answered all our questions as we worked together through the leasing process. Then when our car was ready for delivery, he took the necessary time to explain all the equipment and functions of our new car. He followed up after our purchase to make sure we were pleased and that everything was great with our new car. I would greatly recommend working with David when leasing or purchasing a car at Cox Mazda. The finance department was excellent also. All paper work was explained thoroughly and it was ensured that we understood everything clearly. Also we always have our cars serviced at Cox (we have two Mazdas). The service department at Cox is professional and always keeps us informed as the car is being serviced. The service staff is great to work with and they are always mindful of our time. DO NOT GO HERE! I purchased a 2015 CX-5 and within 14 hours it was making a strange noise under the hood. I immediately brought it back in where they were unable to locate the source and stated that they would need to keep the car overnight. I went back to the sales department explained the situation and asked if I could simply return the car; it was purchased on Sunday and it was 8:00am Monday so no paperwork had been processes. I was told only the manager could authorize that but he would not be in until 10:00. I come back at 10:30 and was told that the manager had not come in due to a doctors appointment and would call me after lunch; I was told to just take the car and go. Tired of being ran around I contacted corporate Mazda who was finally able to get me in contact with the manager. He was less than sympathetic and told me to just keep bringing in the car every time it made the noise. I was informed that I would be unable to return the car because the paperwork had already been submitted that morning despite my objection. True character can be seen in bad situation, and this dealership is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Please learn from my mistake and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I was informed that I would be unable to return the car because the paperwork had already been submitted that morning despite my objection.True character can be seen in bad situation, and this dealership is the worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. It's rare that you come across a salesperson that is a pro at being a great salesperson. I've trained and work with hundreds in the finance profession. Carl is great at staying in touch, making the sales transaction feel stress free, and following up. It doesn't hurt that he sells a great product and believes in what he sells. We are repeat customers for all of these reasons, and quite frankly like to reward people who are great at what they do. By the way, Cox Mazda had the best price on a CX-9 in a 100 mile radius... just another reason to work with this dealership.

Being my first car purchasing experience, I was pretty nervous and didn't know what to expect from buying a car from this dealership. Once I met their sales associate, Jerry Meeks, that all changed. The Cox staff was very welcoming and extremely helpful in this process, which made me very comfortable despite my inexperience. Jerry and the sales manager were supportive in finding the right pricing and financing for the vehicle I was interested in, which is not something that dealers are known for, or what I expected. They even assisted in creating a custom warranty to ensure I had the best coverage I could get, for relatively the same initial monthly financing. I will boast this dealership to everyone I know due to their helpfulness and support, not to mention the beautiful condition of the cars and showroom. Carl Carpenter the Internet Manager was the most professional car sales gentleman, he is a true car guy that has a passion for the brand, and it makes the buying process very exciting. I got a discount on a very limited 2015 miata 20th anniversary, which is very unusual for limited editions. The whole staff was great, the finance manager, and support staff. My story is long - so I wont bore you. Sales guys are all pleasant enough but have no authority to negotiate or to answer difficult questions. The total new car buying process was three hours. over two days. I did buy the car I wanted but because of the brand not the dealership. Once passed the sales person it was clear to me that the managers really don't care about the customer - The New car Sales Manger even said "you don't have to buy a car at all if you don't want too" shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Go to other Mazda dealers in the area but not this one.

From the first phone call to Bobby who advised that the vehicle I wanted was still on the lot and that he would hold it for me as it would take me 3 hours to arrive in Bradenton Fl. While en route hours later getting text messages from Brandon checking on my travel and when finally arriving being greeted by Mark Brown who welcomed me with open arms. I had a terrible experience with Bobby and Brandon. Although both of them seem very nice the buying process for used cars is disorganized and there is poor communication across the dealership. I was told I could test drive a car and was extremely interested in buying a used nissan xterra that day but in the 60 minutes it took me to drive to the dealership someone had placed a deposit on the vehicle and I could no longer purchase it. Bobby deserves most of the blame because he never told me to put a deposit on the car, assured me that it would be held for me but Brandon(manager) is also to blame because he never told Bobby that someone Had put a deposit on it. Moral of the story is if you're interested in buying a car from here put a deposit on it right away otherwise they will sell it to somebody while you are driving to the dealership.

Jerry was my salesman. He was wonderful. Went over the CX-7 in detail. Staff was wonderful. We were so impressed on the CX-5 and the staff we bought it. Very happy it took a short time to process and buy the CX-5 GT. We love it. I have never walked into a dealership and was treated like a person and not a piece of meat. Got a fair deal with our trade in. Very happy with the overall experience. Jerry made us understand the "Mazda way of thinking". They really want you to be happy with the car you purchased as well as the experience of owning a Mazda. Coming from being a Honda owner I was very impressed with the CX-5 and how much it offers for less money. I was very impressed by how it beat out all of the car lines we looked at- Ford, Honda, Kia, VW, Nissan, and Toyota. Even the Honda CRV didn't come close to all the options and better gas mpg. We love the car, the staff will tell our friends about it.

I stopped by just to look at the CX-5. Most dealership bring on the hard sell when you walk in the door, but not at Cox Mazda. Even if I don't purchase here, I will recommend that everyone checks them out. David showed and explained the the different trims to me. I have received 1 follow-up call and 1 follow-up email, unlike the other dealerships that have blown up both my phone and email. They were very understanding when I advised them that would not be ready to buy until later in May. What a Great Experience!!!!

I came to COX mazda garage in November to buy my first car in the states. I am from France and buying a pre owned car was a first experience to me. Right away as i was on the outside watching at the exposed cars I met Dan Blais who came to me and helped me very well to meet my requirements. Dan was very Professional and was really a great help for me . Not only he was very available and courtous but also he gave me the best advice to buy my dream car. He was very patient ,and very friendly , never put me under pressure as so many car dealers tend to do . He introduced me to the manager to help me find the best way to pay for the car as I needed to make a transfer from France. They even let me leave the garage without having completly paid the car since the tansfert of money needed some days to be achived. As Dan told me, that car is really an excellent deal for me, low gaz consumption and works very well . Dan is a very nice person that calls me from time to time to see if every thing is OK . I definitivly recommend you to look for Dan if you need to buy your car and for sure I will go back to COX and look for Dan when i will buy my next car. Thank you again Dan.

I had decided on purchasing a new car, and my extensive research found the car that fit my needs, reasonably priced, good mileage and fun to drive, and equipped with a back-up camera - a Mazda 3. I went to the closest dealership, and was greeted by a young man who was quite knowledgeable about the car, but not about making a sale. He even consulted his sales manager for assistance, and came back to tell me that if they didn't have the car with my specs, he couldn't order it from Mazda! I then went to another dealer 50 miles away from home and had a better experience - until it came down to negotiating a price. There was no negotiating. MSRP or nothing. When I rejected that offer, they never made any attempt to contact me again (nor did the first dealer). I then went to Cox Mazda in Bradenton, not as close as the first dealer and not as far as the second. There I met salesman, Jerry Meeks (and later the Sales Manager, Frank Underwood) and was amazed at how knowledgeable, courteous, fair and flexible they both were! Jerry made every effort to search for the car with the specs I wanted and when it wasn't available from any other dealer, he was very accommodating and readily placed an order for it. Although there was a delay on Mazda's part in its delivery, Jerry kept me updated as to the status of the order and expedited things when it finally arrived. He was also very thorough in going over and explaining the different features in the car. This is my first experience with the Mazda car brand and dealing with Jerry Meeks and Frank Underwood has made it quite a pleasant one. I'm a very satisfied Cox Mazda customer.

We shopped at the Naples Mazda dealer and the sales person didn't even know much about the car including simple things like what buttons were for and worse yet, didn't seem to care to find out. On our test drive, the salesperson got in the front seat at laid the seat way back as if he was going to take a nap - the experience didn't get any better and the Mazda dealer in Ft. Myers was just as lazy so we hit the road to buy a car at a dealership with energy without being pushy. WE FOUND IT!! Cox Mazda made the buying experience so perfect (energetic, knowledgable, helpful, knew their job and super great pricing) that we are going to be heading back, almost 2 hours from home to buy another car for another family member! Totally worth the drive!

The used car was checked in 43 days prior to Cox Mazda selling it. As the used car sales people indicated the car was thoroughly checked. But upon having a battery problem within 2 weeks, the dealership qualfied their check for precertification only dates to when they take it in, therefore, if the car sat on their lot and was able to be driven off the date of purchase, they will not assume any liability. In this case, the battery died andand the two year old car battery replacement cost was entirely the new Cox Mazda Bradenton customers cost. Welcome to Cox. Not what precertified from a Mazda dealer was supposed to be. Good luck if you buy up from a dealer precertified in this location.

Car had a fresh wax job that hid all the scratches, dings, and a paint blemish till I got home. The was advertized as in EXCELLENT condition car...Car had brake issues all 400 miles driving home. When I took it to a local dealership for service I ended up paying for the brake repair even though I paid 500. for the CPO warrenty and 1450. for the extended warrenty at the selling dealer. The multi- point inspection flilled my windshield fluid with water install of fluid.After the test drive it was nothing more then lets get you out the door. I understand now, why... First car I have EVER bought without a full tank of gas. $10.00 filled it, wow. The pricing on the paperwork versus the INTERNET SPECIAL was $500.off and I was told the price was reduced and advertized on the internet lower but during purchase 500.00 was added back in for the CPO coverage. I had a FL tag credit from my local tag office and requested to the dealer to get a VETERAN tag sent to me. I got charged more for the tag and registration then the local tag office said I should have. The paperwork has the cost clumped together so there is no way of breaking out the individual fees. I never got a VETERAN tag ordered as they gave me a generic tag and said my local tag office would swap it out one for one. What they didn't bother to tell me was it would cost me an extra $100.00 fee for a new tag. If you are a veteran you know what having this tag means for support. Being from out-of-town, I felt like the customer who goes through the drive thru instead of going inside for food. You rarely end up with a pleasurable experence. Value for the total price - poor. Value in a quality product - poor. It just seemed to me that every corner had been cut to turn this vehicle so I don't consider this the hometown dealership at all but just another dealer milking out every cent to make a buck.

I requested quotes from many dealers, many ignored my request for quotes outright, but contacted me anyway, and invited me to come in and test drive the vehicle, etc. My mind was already made up. I knew the vehicle I wanted. I wanted an out the door quote. Only three dealers out of 15 I requested quotes from responded. Of the three, Cox Mazda was timely, and transparent. In my opinion, their web site was excellent, and their Internet Sales rep was too! Their follow up was just right, not pushy. When I arrived at the dealership to pick up the vehicle they showed me the vehicle, let me take a test drive and made sure it was the one I wanted. They prepped it, executed the paperwork, demo the vehicle and had me out the door in a timely manner! I have purchased a lot of vehicles and I have to say this was the most enjoyable one! Spot On!

Jerry was friendly, professional, and could answer all of my questions related to the car, including safety ratings, expert reviews, etc. He was never "pushy" just offered the answers to my questions and point out facts. This was unlike the experience I had at other dealers! From the second I walked in the door I was greeted by Tom Leedy. He was very friendly and helpful and answered my questions. He showed me inventory I was interested in and we went for a test drive. During my time there he introduced me to the manager and finance person who were very nice and helpful. I returned a few days later to lease my vehicle. All went out of their way to accommodate my needs. There was a glitch regarding insurance and tags(on my end) but they figured it out for me and explained what I had to do. After a bit of miscommunication, I had to walk away from a deal on Wednesday Evening. Needless to say, I was frustrated and I know the dealer was frustrated as well. The very next day, the manager called me and asked me to give him the opportunity to explain what happened and asked if I would come back in and make the deal. This dealership did everything they could to honor the deal and I am a proud owner of a 2009 Jetta TDI. It is obvious to me that customer satisfaction and reputation are very important at Cox Mazda and that will make me a repeat customer. My salesman, Doug was very kind and we enjoyed some great conversation as we waited for all the paperwork to be completed for the deal.I am glad we made a 2nd attempt to agree upon a car deal. I highly recommend this dealer, they want to sell a high volume of cars and keep their customers happy at the same time.

The dealership has been a terrible experience. They have horrible customer service and will try to play games with u about pricing with vehicles. Salesman was very rude and was making references to the time he was getting off and that we could take our business else where if we didn't make a deal by a certain time. When asking for manager we never seen one. I felt completely annoyed. Sales price when negotiated was not honored after being to dealership several times. Would NOT recommend cox Mazda or its staff. When leaving the salesman even followed out the building with rude comments! I have NEVER been so appalled or disrespected

I went to several dealerships before making my new car purchase, and this was easily the worst. I originally contacted them through email after seeing an online price listing. We agreed on a price, but once I arrived at the dealership, the car salesman completely disregarded our agreed-upon price. He went through several excuses including not qualifying for mazda customer loyalty, not qualifying for a rebate, and a few others. (The dealership I eventually went with did not try any of these contemptible schemes.) After a while of back and forth, it was clear that they posted a low price to draw customers like me into the dealership, although the car salesman would not admit it. Eventually, we left. Definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Also, a word to the wise: settle the price before filling out paperwork and giving them your contact info, social security, etc. Won't be making that mistake again and definitely won't be coming back here again.

I found Cox's prices to be the best on the market, and Carl Carpenter assisted me in every way he could. At no point did I feel like I was being misled, and he never "pushed" the sale. I did not even purchase a car at this dealership (it had NOTHING to do with the dealership itself, only that I found a different make and model I preferred more), but I will definitely consider Cox Mazda and Carl in the future at whatever point I'm in the market for a car, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Just bought our Mazda CX9 from Cox Mazda and are so happy with how the car buying experience was made simple and easy by Carl Carpenter and Jeffrey Serensky. We found a car online and made an inquiry about the car. Carl got right back to us and gave us all the financial specifics of what we needed to put down and what our monthly costs would be. He gave us all inclusive totals so there would be no surprises or extras when we arrived. We drove over an hour and when we got there all the figures we spot on and it made buying our new car so easy and stress free. We drove off so happy in our new CX9! Carl has since called two or three times to make sure we were happy with our purchase or had any questions about the car. Great overall customer service!!!

We purchased a new Mazda from Cox Mazda last Saturday, March 9, 2013. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Prior to arriving at the dealership, we spoke with Denny Hodges, who was professional and willing to answer all of our lengthy questions and concerns. Mr. Hodges' friendly manner convinced us to make our purchase through Cox Mazda, which is no small accomplishment considering that we had contacted and communicated with several dealerships throughout South and Central Florida.On the date of the purchase, we specifically dealt with Jesse Edwards. The manner in which Jesse handled our entire transaction made it painless and enjoyable, which are two words I have never before utilized when discussing an automobile purchase.Jesse took the time to address all of our questions, yet managed to complete our purchase in an expeditious fashion. Both my husband and I felt very comfortable with Jesse, like we had known him for years. Jesse's sincerity enabled us to be confident in what was, to us, a sizeable and potentially stressful purchase. The finance department also did an excellent job in assisting us, and we were impressed by the technology utilized by Cox Mazda's staff.We highly recommend Cox Mazda and hope to make all future automobile purchases with them.

Not a big fan of buying new cars, auto salesmen, and the whole experience--but after doing research online, I feltCox Mazda dealership in Bradenton had the best deals. So that is where I decided to go-- the whole experience was a really good one for me, from my sales person, David Stubbers to even the financing manager. The whole experience was really good--David was a no pressure, in your face kind of sales person, which is what I prefer, but when I had questions, he always had the answers. As for quality on their work, obviously just buying a new car, I haven't had to deal with that, but I will be taking my Mazda there for my oil changes, and we will see how they are, I am assuming, the service will be just as goodI would highly recommend Cox Mazda dealership if you are looking for a new car. If you are not sure of pricing on a Mazda , just go on line and compare prices with Cox Mazda of Bradenton and other Mazda dealerships

My husband and I just recently purchased a New Mazda 3 from Cox Mazda and Jeff Serensky was VERY helpful and knowledgeable sales person. We drove 2 hours away because of their attention to detail and quickness to our Internet response. Frank Underwood one of the managers even called to insure the vehicle would be pulled up and gassed up upon arrival. Thanks again for making the trip worth every penny and making the experience very comfortable and easy!

I have been a customer of Cox Mazda for years. Our family has purchase both a used Mazda 3 and a new CX-9. In sales our sales rep is Jesse Edwards and he has been fantastic! Kelly one of the family members is always at the store and onsite, it is great to see there are family dealerships still in the community. We also have our vehicles serviced at the store when in town and Tammy the service manager has been very helpful making sure our car is ready for the return trip back to North Carolina each year.

After extensive research, I found that Cox Mazda had very, very competitive prices (several other Mazda dealers couldn't even touch their prices).Working with Carl, I never felt pressured or rushed, and he was extremely attentive and thorough from the get-go. He answered every question I had, and his customer first approach and professionalism was rather refreshing. I found him to be genuinely honest; he never once promised me something he could not deliver on.I had been in contact with several dealerships, but in the end, I decided to take my business to Carl and Cox Mazda, not only because of their highly competitive pricing, but mainly due to Carl's unmatched customer service. It didn't hurt that he was an absolute pleasure to deal with (friendly and highly attentive). My wife and I actually drove over an hour to the dealership, passing several others on the way because we wanted to buy from Carl.In short, I highly recommend Carl and Cox Mazda, and I'll be visiting them again in the near future to purchase a new car for my wife!

I spoke to pretty much every Mazda dealer within 200 miles of Tampa and Cox had the best up front price. Of course I was expecting them to then be low on my trade in but thought it was worth a 60 minute drive to see what they had to offer. The inventory selection was good and their first offer was more than fair. After a few negotiations I left with a fantastic deal on a new CX9. The two sales folks I dealt with, Denny & Ken were great and the manager, Frank, was simply determined to sell me a car. I will definitely be a repeat customer based on this purchase.... and NO, I don't work for them.

I searched online for the car I wanted and the COX Mazda ad says "YOUR PRICE" $18,981.00 I go in for a test drive and the salesperson tells me the price is $19,484.00 because there is a "recon" fee. WTF COX put that in the ad. Also the mileage was 1000 over the print ad mileage and the salesperson tells me it's not their fault. I get a low ball offer for my trade. NO THANKS. Total waste of my time!!!

They will try and play games with you and not disclose the interest rate or your financing terms. They ran my credit for nothing. The finance manager is very rude. It was the worst car dealership experience ever. Be smart and don't go to this dealership.

Was searching for new car and had narrowed it to a couple. Had visit another Mazda dealer but did not like the service, saleman's knowledge of the car, etc. Glad I decided to try Cox's. Carl Carpenter is the best. There is not enough words to describe how great he was to my daughter and myself. He made is a pleasant to shop at your dealership. Will definitely return to your dealership as longer as it stays like it is.

Started the experience with internet request and recieved immediate responce. Set up friendly meeting where it was explained what vehicle I was interested in and what my trade-in was. Went for test drive and then recieved a trade propsal and advised I would go and talk to my wife about the proposal. There was no game playing or pressure applied at that time and it was very easy for us to agree because a fair proposal had been offered. In all my car buying experiences, Cox has the fastest, and most professional financial system. The salesman does a good majority of the paper work which makes the time in the financial office very short and professional. Everyone and especially the salesman was very friendly and professional with a follow up call the following day. It makes car buying a joy instead of the pain which I have experience before in car buying.

I had a terrible experience with Cox Mazda. I was very excited to purchase a car, found what I wanted in my price range. At first the staff was very friendly and helpful, the financing was fast and simple, the rate was not bad considering we don't have the greatest credit, but our credit is not that bad either. Everything went very smooth, I was going to leave the vehicle at the dealership until I got my insurance switched over and was urged to drive it home with a dealer tag..Everything was great until I brought the vehicle back to have the few minor things we had agreed on to be addressed and the nightmare began, it was a constant fight to get what I was promised, then 9 days after buying this car I was told I could have my car back from the service department after we went in to talk to the business manager, after waiting over an hour for him, we were informed that the financing and interest rate that we signed on our original contract fell through and we would need to resign the contract with new terms and an interest rate 6% higher than originally agreed upon. If we did not agree to these new terms we would have to pay for the mileage on our vehicle and probably lose our cash down payment. After leaving the dealership very upset, I researched this scam and discovered it is perfectly legal due to the "subject to financing clause" however legal or not this is wrong and dishonest and has ruined the experience of buying my first new car. The truth is that the dealer knew what I could be financed for to begin with, but knew I would never agree to begin with. This is an awful way to do business and I would encourage anyone looking to purchase a car unless you are paying cash or have your own financing to stay far far away from cox mazda..although the sales manager boasts about how honest he is, it just isn't true...not to mention after screwing me over, the dealership tried to convince me that they lost money on the car that I paid almost full asking price for..not true and not right.
