I'd suggest everyone stay away from this stealership. If it is your last resort.... Buy a bicycle. I went in for a new Ram Limited. I wanted it in white, and all they had was black. I asked when they were receiving more inventory and it was like pulling teeth, the sales person or manager would have to call me later. I was asked to fill out a credit app to get the "special" Ram financing deals, so I did. That was the biggest mistake I have ever made. They came back with an absurd rate, I know my score people... I told them I would just go with my credit union (Navy Fed) @ 5 points lower than what Criswell offered. I decided to go with another dealer (Stafford Ram) and had an extremely nice experience, how it SHOULD of been.

If these guys are consistent at anything it's ignoring their customers. Twice I have made appointments to have my car serviced at their Gaithersburg shop and twice they just completely ignored me. The first time they had my car for 3 days and didn't even look at it, and yes, this was after I had an appointment. I finally had to just go get my car as I was going away for the weekend. They never even looked at my car and all I got was, "sorry".The second time, just this week. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment, and this time I called them on the day of my appointment and cited my previous experience with them not even looking at my car and I was assured my car would be looked at. Well.... it wasn't. At the end of the day they told me they would call me in the morning with the result of their diags. Well, no call. I got a call at 4pm with the list of stuff they wanted to do and they wanted to charge me to continue to diagnose the problem. I reminded them I had an extended lifetime warranty (they should have known this) then they told me again they would call me back that night to tell me if the problem was covered by my warranty. Well, no call again. Over the course of all of this I called the service manager several times and he didn't return a single call. I called the service director twice over two days and he never called back. I called the General Manager and left him a message and he never called back. These guys had my car now for 3 days and I had no information on how much it would cost of when I would have it back.On day #4 I called the service manager twice and again no response. I called the service director (now the 3rd time I've called him). I finally reached a live person, not the original service director I called, and he finally drove my concerns to completion.This service department just absolutely sucks. Don't expect any communications from them and expect your car to be unavailable for days. I was even told by their service manager that they don't provide loaner cars. Un-freaking-believable. They hijack my car for 4 days, I'm driving my wife to the other end of Montgomery County to work, and they just don't care.I bought my car here and have had it serviced here since I bought it. After my last two experiences they've lost a car buying customer, and they've lost a service customer and I'll be sure to tell folks to stay away from this place. Their problems go from the service manager all the way to the GM. If they don't care at the top, they why do business with them.

I live over an hour from this dealership. I got 5 quotes overall from different dealers and was most satisfied with the service I received from my sales consultant Alex Sellouk. So despite the drive I decided to buy from Criswell.Two hours before our scheduled appointment, Alex called to tell me he went to pull up the vehicle that I settled on and it was gone. It had been sold. I kept the appointment anyway because there was a 2nd Jeep I saw that I was willing to consider.When I arrived, Alex was with a customer at our appointment time. I walked around for 30 minutes with a different consultant just passing time. Finally another consultant, Jesse Cameron was assigned to me so we could get started. Over an hour later, Alex had not come out of his office to introduce himself. By the time we were finally ready to close the deal, he stopped in briefly to help talk me into the low ball offer for my trade. Finally we settled on a number and I went to the waiting room to wait for the finance manager. I sat down at 8:30. I did not see the finance manager until about 11pm and did not leave the dealership until after midnight. The finance guy was obviously ready to go home and rushed through everything, annoyed. Alex had long since left and Jesse stayed to finish the deal. When the finance part was finally done, Jesse told me that he couldn't get the car detailed because it was too late. He also didn't have my spare key fob and said he would mail it to me. Thathe was August 30. The end of September came and I still hadn't received it so I called Alex. He stated that Jesse was supposed to send it and he would get it taken care of. Yet another 2 weeks passed - no key. I emailed the sales manager to express my concern. No response. I called Alex back...no response. I left a message for Jesse - you guessed it....no response. So I called Jeep corporate who then contacted the dealership. I was told that the key had to be programmed to my vehicle so I had to go back to the dealership. When I arrived, Jesse had the key in his hand with my name on it. He said that it "arrived" and nobody notified him so that's why he didn't send it. Since he could have then mailed it when he received it, my hour and a half trip was pointless. Such a waste. There was no explanation as to why nobody from Criswell called me back to tell me anything at all!!!! Jeep corporate was very empathetic and stayed in touch with me to make sure things were resolved. When I explained the unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous way I was treated, they offered me a few free oil changes at my local dealership. I would never ever recommend doing business with criswell. All they cared about was closing a deal.

I was looking for a new Dodge Ram 1500 and went to my local Dodge dealer and they would not work with me at all on a price. I looked online for dealers out of my area and Criswell seemed to have the best prices. I contacted Criswell and was put in touch with Caitlin Torrisi.Caitlin discussed prices with me and said she would work with me to get a price that I liked. She was always very prompt in returning phone calls and emails.On 9-25-16 I made the almost 2 hour drive to meet with Caitlin and look at the Ram truck. The truck was on the lot and ready to go. The purchasing process was seamless and was done in probably less than an hour. Caitlin did an excellent job in every part of the sales process. There is absolutely no way my local Dodge dealer would have worked with me the way Caitlin and Criswell did. I strongly recommend her for anyone looking for a new Dodge vehicle.

Recently I took my 2012 Grand Cherokee in for an oil change and needed the Service Department too take a look at my brakes due to the fact that the pedal was not pressurizing. The Service Advisor blew me off stating they do not have time. I called back later that day because the situation got worse. I spoke to another Service Advisor (Mohammad) who I stated to that I needed a new brake booster. He then transferred me to the parts department to see if they were in stock, once I got that information I was transferred back to schedule the appointment where Mohammad tried to. Charge extra money for a service that should be included for the part that needed to be replaced. Once I asked to talk to the Manager he deducted that price from my total bill. The next morning I called and spoke with Service Advisor Oscar who seemed like he was going to help me out with a courtesy vehicle and put me on hold for 55 min without getting back to me. When I hung up and called back I got the cashiers office who I stated to the situation, she came back on the phone stating Oscar was busy with a customer and would have to call me back. When I repeated that I was on hold for 55 min she began to become very rude and stated again that he would call me back which I am still waiting for and it has now been two days. I had sent an email who stating my experiences over the past two years to a Sales Manager since I could not find an email address on their site to send to a Service Manager. The Sales Manager Sam Hall was very prompt in responding and sent it to the Service Manager and Service Director. I received a call later that day stating they could now help me with a courtesy vehicle but at this point it was too late and I had already had to rent a car out of my own pocket. There was no reply email or call from the Service Manager. This to is a complete lack of Customer Service at every level except from Sam Hall who did what he could to advise the correct staff members of the situation and I thanked him for that. I have had very inconsistent service from both the Jeep and Chevy sides of their operation due to the fact I take both my cars to the dealership for service. After this past experience with people not getting back to me when they say or any type of recourse from the service manager something as simple as a reply to the email or a phone call apologizing I will no longer be taking any of vehicles to this location and will not recommend this dealership at any capacity to any friends or family. Customers now days do not only look for a good price but the experience of this service they receive from start to finish. I might have to drive a little bit farther and possibly pay a little extra but it will be WORTH IT.SincerelyCompletely Unsatisfied Customer

From the moment I saw the 2012 Fiat 500 Sport on the website, I knew it was going to be mine. I was in contact with Peter every day from the moment I sent in my note of interest, and he made sure that I was completely taken care of - financing in place before I got there, and car cleaned, repaired, and inspected. When I got to the dealership, I was pleasantly surprised by a few "extras" that hadn't been listed on the site - a sunroof, leather interior, new tires, and a guarantee that the open recall would be dealt with, free of charge to me. While Peter was not immediately available to show me the vehicle, another salesman showed me to the car and gave me the keys. Peter took it out for a test drive with me, and was a good sport about my driving (I hadn't driven a manual transmission in over a year, and was a little rusty). Overall, it was a seamless car-buying experience. I never felt like I was being taken-advantage of or as if I was being pressured into a car I didn't want or couldn't afford, and I definitely felt like I got a fair deal.

My wife and I have been to this dealership twice in the past 9 months, first to purchase a high end new Dodge Ram Diesel Truck and this month we purchase a used Jeep Wrangler. Both the new and the used dealers provided exceptional customer service. On this visit to the used car dealership our salesman Peter Eaton was outstanding throughout our complex trade in. Peter answered our calls with all of our "monkey wrenches"and texts immediately throughout the process, and was always high energy. He provided us options that were meaningful to our particular needs (great new tires to replace the one's that were on there), and made himself available for further consultation. Because of his straight forward style and 20+ years of experience we were in great hands from the time he answered our "cold call" email inquiry until the last bolt was put onto our new tags. Peter is a professional who we trust and will seek him out next time we are in the market for a vehicle. Over the years I have purchased 5, now 6 vehicles from Criswell and the sales team has always been good. This recent purchase Alwyn and Kevin Glassic were AMAZING !!! Now other way to put that. They bent over backwards and then some to make sure I got the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted. It was a LONG process due to issues on my side but they smoothed everything out like true professionals and keeping me entertained the entire time. When you find a team that is straight forward, professional and do whatever they can to keep you smiling, you come out the winner every time. I could go on forever on how great Alwyn is but come in and see for yourself. THE BEST!!!!!

The folks at Criswell Chevrolet-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Maserati-Nissan-Honda-Fiat-RAM-Alfa Romeo will do almost anything to get you to buy a car from them, and they have a mouthful to choose from. But before you drink the Kool-Aid, be sure to ask them about their No Fault Service Plan. Because once the car leaves the showroom, their No Fault Plan kicks in. And what that means is, "hasta luego, sucker. You bought the car. Now, you're on your own." In April of last year (2015), I bought a brand new Fiat 500 (VIN #FT509135S34) from Criswell. I love the car. It's perfect for city driving---when it works. But I've had to take it in for servicing every week for the past three weeks. And what happened today was the final straw. The first time was for regular servicing: oil change, rotating the tires, that sort of thing. I called for an appointment and was told I would have to wait three weeks to get one. Three weeks? Last week, I took the car back to Criswell because the engine service light went on and the manual said, take it to your dealer for servicing, immediately! I did, without an appointment. An hour out there, two hours back on Metro. Ok, stuff happens. It was ready the next afternoon.But the engine light was on again within 24 hours. Then, I received a recall notice from Fiat Chrysler in the mail. Something about the clutch cover going bad and needing to be replaced. Otherwise "loss of motive power could cause a crash without warning," the recall notice said. And then yesterday, July 4th, some friends noticed that my front tire had a blister in it, which they said was so bad the tire could blow out at any second. And when we went to look for the spare, we discovered there wasn't one. Bingo! While everyone else in Washington was watching the fireworks, I was driving home in a car unsafe-at-any-speed: engine, clutch and tire---all ready to make me and my Fiat one of those sad holiday stories. You know: war correspondent who'd cheated death a hundred times, dies in a car crash. Police say it seems his car's engine blew up...or was it the tire that blew out? Or the clutch that failed? Autopsy of car and driver underway.You can imagine how I felt when I woke up this morning, alive. So I called Criswell, asking to speak with my service adviser. Then, when I got his voice mail, I asked the operator to speak to the head of the service department. I wanted to ask if I should drive the car out to Gaithersburg, or have it towed? But after 15 minutes, she said she was sorry; nobody was there. She took my number and assured me someone would call back "as soon as possible." One hour. Two hours. How soon is "as soon as possible?" Then, I remembered Criswell's No Fault Service Plan. No one would ever call me back (and no one ever did). I was on my own. When I got out to the service department this afternoon, still alive, sure enough they quickly invoked No Fault clauses 1, 2 and 3 and 7: CLAUSE 1 (TIRES): There was only a 1 per cent chance the tire was defective so they weren't responsible and their failure to rotate the tires two weeks ago, which they were supposed to do, had nothing to do with the tire, which they agreed needed to be replaced; CLAUSE 2 (ENGINE): They couldn't understand why the light had come back on but the fact that it did, after they had supposedly fixed whatever was wrong, wasn't their fault, either; Clause 2 stated quite clearly, they said, that neither my inconvenience nor my life was important enough for Criswell to give me a loaner until my Fiat was fixed; CLAUSE 3 (SAFETY RECALL): They couldn't do anything about that, either, because Chrysler hadn't sent them the parts needed to fix it; not their fault nor their responsibility. Their No Fault Service policy, they repeated, gives Criswell the right to ignore Safety Recall notices that explicitly say a car they sold could "crash without warning." That's the "hasta luego, sucker" clause in the fine print down at the bottom. CLAUSE 7 (NO SPARE TIRE): Even though they acknowledged that not having a spare meant having to be towed in if you have a dangerous blister in your tire or a flat, the No Fault Policy absolves the service department of responsibility for that, too. "Your salesman should have told you," they said, as if the Criswell salesman (who's long gone, by the way) hadn't been working for the same auto dealership they do. We'll call this the Blame It On Someone Else Clause, though I'm not sure even they believe it would stand up in a court of law.Wanna make America great again? How about boycotting companies like Criswell that don't stand behind the products they sell and cheat their customers--- giving other car dealers and capitalism, too---a bad name?

I live 377 miles from this dealership and chose them over all the local ones because of Leon Travis and getting the specific vehicle I wanted. He picked me up at the airport and took me to pick up the vehicle that we negotiated the week before. The finance person, of course, tried his best to get "more", but the price was set and honored. I was also impressed by Leon's follow up...even after the deal was done and everyone was paid. I appreciate him standing out.

This was not my first time buying a new vehicle, but this was my first time doing it solo. As a woman, it can definitely be a bit concerning walking into a dealership alone since a lot of places will try to take advantage. I've had salesmen try to use a loud alarm set sound as a selling point because I'm short and could use it to find my car while out shopping (argh). When I submitted for TrueCar pricing, I did it in two regions and was contacted by 6 dealerships. Alex's email immediately stood out to me as he didn't try to pawn off lot vehicles and made it clear that I could factory order, while most of the others were persistent with vehicles that didn't meet my key needs. Alex was very fast in responding to my emails/questions, and we quickly arranged an appointment. He was very accommodating to my contact needs as I work in a field that doesn't allow for phone call breaks. When I went in, we went through what I wanted/did not want, and he helped to guide me with the 'maybe' items. He was very knowledgable with the vehicle and he's a down to earth guy that makes you feel at home. No pressure to sell me on things that I did not want and lots of patience. The price ended up being under what I was financed for (yay!) and no haggling was needed, dealership was very transparent with costs. The arrival from the factory was at the low end for quoted time, pretty much 4 weeks to the day out of a possible 6 weeks, and Alex was sweet enough to pick me up from the closest metro station since I wasn't doing a trade-in and was coming from DC. He also collected a lot of needed info prior to my visit to keep my wait time low and get me into my new jeep as fast as possible. The Wrangler was everything I wanted and was spot on with the order. The check-out process was amazingly smooth and Dan in Finance was also friendly, straight up and not pushy at all. All of my questions were fully explained and I never felt rushed or concerned. After the ink was dry, Alex went through the vehicle and setup the Bluetooth and reviewed the features that have changed since I had my last Jeep. He even scraped off the sticky spots that were left from necessary stickers. The dealership was nicely setup and the entire staff was very friendly with a clear 'teamwork' attitude going on. Overall, the process was the best that I've had at a dealership and they will have a repeat customer. I would 100% recommend the team that I worked with at this dealership to friends.

Carl Wilhelm and the team completely exceeded our expectations! We received price quotes from three different dealers in the area on a Town and Country. We arranged with Alex Sellouk to visit this Gaithersburg dealership if a test drive with a Chrysler dealer in Virginia didn't work out. Unfortunately, the Virginia dealer pulled a bait and switch that almost completely soured us on Chrysler. Thankfully, we decided to keep the appointment with Criswell. Because Alex would be unavailable when we could come in, he arranged for us to meet with Carl Wilhelm. Carl was courteous and straightforward. After a test drive, Carl walked us through the pricing for the van and provided us a quote that was exactly what I had received by email. Carl also had the service department detail the van while we completed paperwork to save time. We then paid for the van, went to lunch while they finished detailing, picked it up 30 minutes later and then drove our beautiful new Town and Country home. We have bought several cars, both new and used, and this was the VERY BEST experience we have ever had with a car dealer.

Bill assisted us with our Jeep Rubicon purchase and was wonderful! He worked with us on where we wanted to be in the vehicle we wanted to be in. Took my car in to diagnose a light on in the dash, they diagnosed the wrong light. Didn't contact me for 2 weeks, then after getting ahold of them they and explaining what I needed diagnosed, the told me it would be covered under warranty. I waited another week and still no call giving me an update, I finally show up and they never even touched my car. Terrible customer service, I've dealt with the parts department before and also terrible, they got me the wrong parts twice. I highly recommend not giving them anymore of my business and/or recommending their dealership. They should not be open, or allowed to operate business. That is all

When I arrived at Service, I requested the Associates to do 1) Oil Change and 2) fix the clip near front Tire (driver's side) so that one clips is not fit. He said that "No problem, we will fix it". He also said that it takes total 30 minutes. However, as actual, the other staff came to lounge in 1 hour and all customer asked him why it takes much time. He explained us Today (that is on Saturday, March 12)'s technician is only 2 even if the regular time is 4 technicians. Therefore, It takes more 30 minutes. Actually, Total 1hour 45 minutes. It's OK if everything is fix. A staff call to my cellphone that my dodge is ready even if I am at lounge and ask me to pay the money. and I got my car. HOWEVER, my request 2) that is fix the clips near front tire did not fix at all. I realized that the first Associate did not informed the Technician all my request. It was too late so that my dodge is already out side of shop and a staff return my key... What's going on? I have to go to shop AGAIN! The associates should communicate with the technician. The associates should TAKE A MEMO IF THEY CAN NOT REMEMBER THE CUSTOMER'S ALL REQUEST.

Alex went above and beyond to assist in my Ram 1500 Laramie purchase. At no point did I feel that he applied the salesman tactic and pushed for a sale. He took the time to answer all my questions about the vehicle and purchasing process. He went out in the rain to take a picture of the vehicle build date, even though I had told him it was not an urgent request. Being that I am an out of town buyer from NYC, Alex had the finance manager fedex me all the sales documentation for review in the comfort of my own home. There was no unexpected hidden fees that were not previously disclosed to me. While the service for the purchase was sufficient (though not really outstanding), when we had some trouble with the sunroof the service and body shop engagement has been very poor and difficult. It has taken 3 months to repair a sunroof with very little follow-up. The lesson learned for us, investigate the competency of the service and body shop before you purchase a new car. My ratings below are a blended reflection of both experiences.

Foster Gambrell III worked to find the exact Jeep we wanted (unlike another Jeep dealership in Rockville). It took him about a day to find it and by the next weekend we were back at the dealership test driving the Jeep. Foster showed us all the features of the vehicle and linked our phones. He answered all our questions without referring us to the manual like many salespeople do. He didn't pressure us for a sale (we just debated the price, of course) and we didn't feel rushed or ignored. A positive experience.

I would buy from them again because I got good service, however I am disappointed that the bright pedals that were supposed to be on my car were not installed even though they were specified on the build sheet and the window sticker. I have spent the past two months asking my salesman for them to no avail. He's a nice guy, a good salesman and I would recommend him, and maybe the resolution is above his pay grade, but xxxx - two months to get a set of pedals that should have been on the car when I took delivery? Stay away from this dealer. The salesman Foster Gambrell is so pushy and arrogant. He delivered a $60 000 jeep srt with damaged wheels. The sales manager Sam Hall who should retire since he is an old fart is extremely rude and has the worst customer service. His employees don't like him either. They refused to take care of a warranty claim as well. There are better dealers to buy from so shop around! Take my advice!

This place is miserable. Salesman Leon Travis lied and tried to get out of the locked in internet price. He also catered to a potential new customer, and made me wait over 4 hours, when he knew I was buying a new car. Leon promised me 3 free oil changes . . . when I brought the car in for warrenty service, I was charged $63 for an oil change. When I asked Leon about this, he was too busy. I finally got the surly sales manager to negate the charges, but he was extremely unpleasant and angry. Criswell keptmy new car for over a week to fix electronic issues. I had to wait close to 4 hours to get a loaner. The Jeep is a nice product . . . such a shame to have to deal with a dealorship such as this!!

We did a smoke test and replaced your gas cap(remember this)-5th contact. 2weeks later and 200 miles Me, Mrs service manager my lights back on. Thought you did a smoke test and the issue was the gas cap. Service manager, well it sounds like you have a different issue now Me, sounds like the issue wasn't fixed to begin with. When can you get me in. If I end up being disappointed with a purchase, I blame only myself.My car buying process goes like this:Step 1 - I ask "The Google" lots of questions and read a lot of websites, reviews, blogs, etc.Step 2 - I ask the sales rep a lot of questionsStep 3 - I request quotes via email from a lot of dealersStep 4 - Based on the information I collect in Steps 1, 2, and 3 ... I request the identical quote from every dealer via email.My process can drive sales reps and their managers CRAZY. Several have blown me off after just a few interactions. They stop answering the mail! Or better yet, I get the "if you want a quote, you will have to come into the dealership and talk to my manager" ... Like YEAH, RIGHT! I'm going to just jump in my car and sit in Washington, DC traffic because the Sales Rep is being manipulated by a Manager who doesn't get it that people shop online nowadays! Really!Well ... Our experience purchasing at Criswell was priceless and our sales person Armand was exceptional. I called earlier that afternoon to see if we could get a rough estimates on an R/T that was on the lot and discuss my trade in before driving over an hour and a half to the dealership. Armand was gracious and patient and worked to make sure that I was comfortable with our discussion about the vehicle we wanted to purchase and the value of my trade prior to our arrival. After arriving 15 minutes before they closed for the evening ( we got lost- GPS did not map to the correct address), Armand had the car ready for us to test drive. As we prepared for the test drive, we saw another charger that we liked, we stopped the test drive and asked to test drive the other Charger. Again, Armand was gracious and accommodating. We test drove the vehicle and decided to purchase. Armand and Rob (the finance guy) worked diligently to get a great purchase price and an excellent trade in offer for our trade. Financing was seamless and we were not pushed to purchase any warranties that did not make sense for us, in fact, I asked Rob multiple questions about timing as it relates to paying off the loan and the best method for paying the loan off while having it improve my credit score. Rob was honest and forthcoming with advise and recommendations. OVERALL, this was the best car buying experience that we have had in a loooooooong time. I would recommend without any hesitation Armand and Rob at Criswell. They were amazing to work with.

If you really want the vehicle, don't expect Alex or Ale to sell it to you. In fact, stay away from them. Ale claims he is straight dealer which is ok but he never treated me as a customer the entire process. If only the next Dodge dealership was near I would have never gotten my car in this dealership. His sales guy, Alex, I really wanted to help him make a sale but not sure if he is screwing with me with the final sale price or if Ale is screwing him. What made me not like Alex even more is when he said he was upset at me. I told him I forgot he's the customer just to calm him down. Adam for his part was ok but he never really was involved in the sales part except the paper work. I think he's ok though so he's worth trying. I thought the vehicle price was pretty good and i'm sure the other folks at Dodge are way better to deal with than Alex or Ale.

We bought a Jeep Sahara yesterday from Jeff Boyd. This was the first new car for my 23 year- old daughter so it was a big deal. Jeff Boyd was super friendly, conscientious, always got back to us by text, and sold us the car when we really only went in to look. Jeff showed my daughter all the items on the car, helped her take the top off the Jeep, suggested she drive on the highway to simulate real life, synced her phone to the car, taught her the navigation and everything else needed. Jeff was a real gem and great to work with and I recommend him to anyone. He also had a very nice style that was not full of pressure that one sometimes finds in car dealerships. To my surprise, when I picked up my jeep after the installation of that package a component was missing. I expressed my disappointment for not having the full package to the salesman. My salesman, Leon Travis went above and beyond for me. I wish I could rate him a 12/10 instead of a 10/10. I went in on Monday looking for a 2015 Jeep Patriot Sport Altitude. I had checked other dealerships and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Upon arriving at Criswell in Gaithersburg, I was greeted by Leon Travis. He asked to show me vehicles, but I already had my mind set on what I wanted. I told Leon what I was looking for and he immediately looked it up in the system. There were 2 Jeeps on the lot that I was interested in. After looking at the first one, I knew it was the one. Leon then let me test drive the vehicle and walked me through all the features of the vehicle. I wanted to get the Jeep that day, but had to wait for my bank. Long story short, I went back on Thursday and decided to finance through the dealership's financial department. I now have my dream vehicle all thanks to Leon Travis and the amazing team at Criswell in Gaithersburg! Called about a 2007 VW GTI. Add states that it has 53k ,is a limited edition model, and has an exceptional carfax. Contacted Criswell and was told by Frank Fowler " after a close inspection... management decided it will cost too much to get it to pass inspection. car will be wholesaled." Carfax states it just passed safety and emissions at 51k. The car remains listed online at their Criswell website and several internet sites. Frank then sent me blanket sales email with no response as to what actually happened to the GTI. Seemed strange to me so thought i would share the story.

Sorry for the long review but twenty-five words is not going to explain how satisfied I am.....So after a month of price shopping I was finally ready to buy my car. I traveled to eight dealers in my area and three times to the same dealer and I was not able to reach a deal with them or they did not have the vehicle in stock. During this timeframe Jeff Boyd, reached out to me several times but considering that I live in DC I thought that going to Gaithersburg was going to be way to long of a ride (1 hour drive) to take and not be able to close a deal. Ultimately, Jeff, convinced me to come out by doing one thing different that the other dealers did not, he was HONEST about my trade-in. That stood out to me and convinced me to take the ride, and I am glad that I did. I arrived at the dealership thirty minutes before closing (I didn't know this) and was greeted by Jeff. He was able to get the deal initially started however he had an emergency and had to put me into the "trusted hands" of Leon Travis. Although the dealership was closing in five minutes I could not tell because the level of professionalism shown by Leon, Jeff, and other members blew me away. Leon took his time to review the car I picked and negotiate the price. Then I had a LAST MINUTE change and wanted a different vehicle and it was already 8pm. Leon, smiled and told me that is was okay and he understands how important it is to get what you really want. After 5 minutes he found the exact car, black Dodge Journey SE, for me. Again we reviewed the price with Kevin, and Sam (who were both also friendly and let me know that their customers are their top priority). Leon went to pick up the vehicle from another lot at 9:20pm! The deal was done I completed the necessary paperwork with Sam and was out the door at 10:20pm transferring items from my old car to my new one. Leon did not leave, he patiently waited until I was finished and then offered to explain EACH vehicle feature to me at 10:40pm. I told him it was okay and offered to just sign saying he showed me the vehicle ( I felt horrible keeping everyone at work so long) but nope he would not take my offer. He told me he wanted to be sure I understood every feature in my car-what salesman does that after the deal is done? Leon, that's who! So at 11pm we all headed home. Just wanted to tell them sorry for any inconvenience with my late purchase but it was totally worth it. I will be sure to refer anyone I know looking to buy a car.

I never like shopping for a new vehicle......but Adam Spell was excellent...... Made it all very easy and smooth. "A" PLUS ! Patient and great at following through..... I drove about 70 miles just to look at cars at Criswell..... they had a bunch of choices in a variety of colors and makes. In Pennsylvania , each dealer that I went to had one or two Patriots on the lot so when I got to Criswell's, I was blown away..... lots of choices and not a lot of pressure to buy.The operation and sales floor seemed to be very professional run..... I would highly recommend checking them out.....tons of choices and friendly atmosphere. A HUGE THANK YOU !!!! Most of the time that I have purchased a new vehicle, I never thought I got a good deal..... at Criswell, I really thought a got a great price and great financing !

I did my research for 2 years and consider myself person that knows exactly what they want. I found my exact vehicle listed as "In Transit" to Criswell Jeep. Despite the vehicle not currently on the lot Criswell, and my sales rep. Leon Travis, where more than helpful in putting together the deal a week prior to delivery. I was notified promptly when the vehicle was ready for pick up. Following the purchase there was a small factory defect with the assembly of drivers side mirror. After a small communication breakdown with the service/body department, requiring multiple trips to the dealer in the following days, Leon made good by restoring the vehicle to new delivery condition. I was very satisfied with his hard work and individual attention over time. I highly recommend Leon Travis.

Our most recent purchase was a Jeep Compass for our youngest daughter. In researching multiple dealerships for a few weeks, visiting multiple dealerships, and driving to MD/VA dealerships in the same day, in the end we selected Criswell Chrysler Jeep. Richard Beckett was fabulous with correspondence, follow up, response time, willingness to go above and beyond with our purchase! In the beginning we were looking at used Jeep Compasses but in the end purchased new. Richard was able to get us into a NEW vehicle for slightly more than a used one. Foster was so helpful from the moment that I walked into the door, even taking the time to sit and just chat with me while I waited for my fiance to arrive and meet us to look at some Jeeps. After having the absolute WORST experience at Lustine Dodge in Woodbridge, VA. I called Crisswel Dodge in Gathiersburg and spoke to Foster Gambrell and explained exactly what I was looking for and told him of the experience I had just had at the other dealership and he assured me my experience would be 100% different at Crisswel Dodge, so after leaving the Woodbridge Lustine I drove directly up to Crisswel Saturday evening 4/11/15. When I arrived Foster Gambrell welcomed me, took me to the Dodge Challenger that I wanted to buy and gave me an overview of the car . We then went into his office to complete the credit paperwork and talk numbers. I ended up getting a deal that was 5-6k less than what the dealer in Woodbridge were offering and also got the blue book value of my trade in! Throughout the whole time Foster was very professional to me and my family while going through the process. Once the financing was approved, he took the Challenger to get cleaned up and then helped us move all of our junk from our old car to our new car... This was one of the better dealings I have ever had at a dealer working through the car choosing, car financing and the overall process.. There was never a point that I felt like Foster was forcing me to buy or trying to hard sell me on anything... I remember an exact quote when I had told him about the Lustine dealership trying to force me to buy different cars/colors that I wasnt interested in....Foster responded "The Challenger is not a Camry" and I could not agree anymore!Thanks Crisswell for your professional service in your sales department, and specifically, thanks Foster!

Jeff Boyd was outstanding from the first call. I started out by calling a bunch of dealerships, most were in Maryland only to find out that the advertised prices included rebates that did not apply to me and all of the sales people told me they don't offer any other rebates or discounts. They did however try to get me to their dealership or sell me something other than the vehicle I called about. Then I called Jeff Boyd at Criswell Jeep. Like the other dealerships, the price of the jeep did include rebates I didn't qualify for but Jeff didn't let that stop him from giving me an awesome price on the first phone call and he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't want. He threw together a price including all taxes tags and fees and emailed it to me within 20 minutes of our phone call. He was willing to do the financing over the phone and had everything worked out. The next day, I drove a little over 2 hours and drove my new jeep off of their lot. I was in the dealership maybe 2 hours total and if they didn't have to cut and program a key, it would have been even faster. If your looking for honesty and a buying experience without the run around BS, Jeff Boyd at Criswell Jeep is the man to go see.

My experience started on Thursday, February 26, 2015 with a phone conversation with salesman Foster Gambrell. I called with questions about trading in my 1998 Corvette that had a significant amount of negative equity, this was after visiting several dealers the 2 previous nights. Foster explained to me that the only way we could make this happen was if I was to purchase a new car with extensive incentives that would "eat up" the negative equity. This information was somewhat discouraging as i wasn't sure a new car would fit into my tight budget. Foster then without any pressure told me his hours and when he would be available if i wanted to come and see what he could do. I then talked with my wife about the options we had, from there we decided to give it shot the next night, Friday, February 27, 2015 , at the Criswell Chevy to purchase a new Colorado Truck but that didn't work out financially as I expected but wanted to try anyway. Immediately following, we took out very short trip across the lot to see Foster at Criswell Chrysler. I reexplained the situation I was in, he remembered almost instantly from our phone conversation and started doing what he could. Since it was after closing time, we decided it would be best to go home with some info and come back in the morning but not before assuring me he (Foster) will get this done for me tomorrow. We met the next day, test drove the Chrysler 200S and went back into his office where he made our 3-4 hour experience feel like we were just hanging out with a bunch of friends laughing and joking while we waited for finance to finalize all the details with our lender. The details finally came back and Foster did what no other dealer could do and that was to get me in a new car that I had specific specifications to meet within my budget. His word the night before prevailed and made mine and my wife's day. The experience didn't end there though, he went on to show me all the ins and outs of the car as well as getting UConnect registered and downloaded on my iPhone before leaving the lot. This was the best car dealer experience I have ever had and will recommend him to anyone in search of a new car. Honorable mentions would include Mike Long, although he didn't have any part of the sale his knowledge of the 200S was much appreciated. He informed me of several details that weren't included online or on the sticker. This experience has changed my outlook on buying from a dealership. Foster is a key asset to the sales team at Criswell and I highly recommend he be compensated for his true worth.

Shady. Condescending. Terrible customer service. Amongst other visits. I had dropped my jeep off to replace a headlight that was ordered From a previous visit. Also, my check engine light came on in the meantime. I am on vacation so didn't need my car. But called a week later to see what was up because I had not heard from them. The service writer would not get on the phone because she was off in 15 minutes. And said she had left one message on my phone which was completely untrue. When asked to speak to a manager. They put me on the phone with a porter to try to get the problem to go away. The next day I get no phone call about my car. The following morning I find out they called my home phone and left a message saying it was ready to be picked up, so a family member picked it up. Without knowing that, I called to see what was going on and they sent it home without fixing the headlight. They are an awful service lane. They are shady and lie. Take your car somewhere else. Nancy. You are condesending and rude. When I came in you were condescending calling me honey like I know nothing about cars when I probably know more than a lot of you. Next time you decide you're going to lie about contacting a customer, be aware that most people run their businesses out of their phone and check voicemails. Especially on vacation. Do us all a favor and quit your day job

I bought 2 cars from this dealership. The customer service on the selling side is fairly good, but I advise not to finance through Criswell. The first car I financed through them and the rate I was given was high especially since I have and had perfect credit at the time. The price of the vehicle was fair so I decided to promptly refinance. The second car I showed up with a check from capital one. The sales person was not happy at the end of that transaction. My problem with this dealership is on the service side. It is absolutely ridiculous that they only have techs that change oil on a weekend. On numerous times I went there I have been told that I have to bring my car back during the week to get the basic fixes done. For the past three weeks I had this annoying unsafe sounding rattling under my seat, so I showed up at the dealership today. There were only two service reps ... one Valerie and another lady. From my last service I learned that Valerie Green was dishonest, since she tried to up sell me to get my rear differential oil changed (a $400 job) when my car only had 25k miles on it at the time. From my research rear differential oil should be changed around 40-50k miles. I even told her that..then she rambled junk about Maryland state regulation being different etc. So I took a mental note to avoid her. I approached the other lady and told her of my issue, and then dishonest Valerie jumps in to tell me that they do not have any techs to even look at my seat and I had to come back during the week. I even told her that I don't feel safe driving the car with that noise. Her response was "sorry, there is nothing we can do". To which I replied "that's not good customer service". I then proceeded to look at the seat myself in front of her, a couple minutes passed and she told me in a harsh manner "Sir, you have to move your car you are blocking other cars". Today is the last day I will return to Criswell in any aspect...not to service my car and definitely not to buy another one. Please note if you have no other choice but to take your car to be service there.....AVOID the service rep VALERIE GREEN.

worst service advisor, she tried to sell me things i didnt need, i brought my car in for repairs and the hourly rate is 122hr, she over charged me, i look at my papet work price, it averaged at 150hr, stay away from this place, i own a 2014 jeep cherokee and she tried to sell me a complete "driveline" service at $498 with 18,000 miles on my car, who does that?

I drove 4 hours based on a phone coversation with Armand Amany.I was really nervous driving so far based on a deal hammered out over the phone.When i got to the dealership, everything went exactly as promised.It could not have went any smoother. My 2013 RAM 1500 has been having issues with the rear door lock and I wanted to get it fixed or at least make an appointment to have it inspected. I drove 26 miles to this dealership from my house because of all the positive Google reviews. When I arrived, Mario Diaz was the only service consultant who was working. I told him about my situation and he said that the dealership's service department was backed up and that if I wanted an appointment, I would have to wait two weeks. I asked him if I could bring the vehicle on a Saturday, and he said they reserve Saturdays for walk-ins and handle mainly express lube services on that day. During this whole time, he had a horrible attitude and was becoming increasingly rude. I then confirmed by asking him that if I wanted to get this fixed on the truck soon, I would have to go to another dealership, but he responded back that I was "putting words in his mouth," and that he said "if I wanted to get the truck fixed, I would have to wait two weeks". His abominable attitude and atrocious customer service reflect poorly of this dealership. I have owned many automobiles and worked with many dealers. For example, EuroMotorCars in Bethesda, MD is a testimony of excellent customer satisfaction. I cannot recommend the service department of this dealership.

The process started, I found a van on the really nice Criswell website. Then I got in touch with David Coggin an excellent Commercial Sales Associate. David worked with the sales manage Ale to check availability and pricing for me. I live pretty far away by Dulles Airport. David was kind enough to give me a ride with him to work today to pick up my new van. He was extremely thorough in explaining how his dealership does business, the service and also the features of my new van. David & Ale were extremely professional and treated me with respect and value.Next on to the finance office (usually the thing I hate most about buying a car), I met a gentleman named Dan Leithauser. Dan was extremely pleasant, informative, patient, just really did nice job. I think our company 495 HVAC in Alexandria will be purchasing 2 or 3 more work vans here shortly. I really cannot commend the Staff a Criswell Dodge enough.

Would not ever go to this dealership, I have a 2013 ford f150 crew cab with MAX TOW,ECOBOOST ENGINE,CHROME PACKAGE,REVIEW CAMERA ETC. and 22k miles. The truck is near perfect they offered me $22,000 to $22,500 .They have a 2012 with 45,000 on it for $30,000 what's wrong with that picture. Are they for real OR JUST OUT TO RIP PEOPLE OFF. I will not recommend this dealer or any of it's sales people, they just suck .

I just purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Armand provided excellent service. He was knowledgeable and kept answering all of my questions. He kept a middle ground between being available to answer questions and view cars, and not being too pushy to invade my space. Other dealers kept bothering me with calls and emails. One morning in late September, I found myself in an overheating 2006 Dodge Charger, the result of particularly intense stop and go traffic on I-270. Having made considerable repairs on the car earlier in the year (and recently surpassing 150k miles), I reluctantly searched for the closest dealership with the expectation of yet another repair ticket and invoice.. Upon my arrival, Carl Wilhelm worked through all possible options, eventually determining that buying new was the best route. He applied rebates and gave me an excellent price for a car that needed work before they could even test drive it. My finance rep, Steve, spent extra time over the next 48 hours, securing a loaner car and even taking me to lunch while dealing with everything from credit to title transfer issues. I feel lucky to have encountered the folks at Criswell when I did and very much appreciate their willingness to "see me through".

As the title says, this was my first time buying a new car, and dealing with a dealership altogether. I couldn't have asked for a better (or more patient) employee to work with. When I first showed up to Criswell I had a car with very specific amenities in mind. Armand was able to find the exact car that I wanted within two calendar days of me walking through the door. He worked all day and sometimes late at night, making everything happen for me. I was able to pick the car up yesterday, and he was still helping me with anything car related that I needed until I drove away.I would highly recommend Criswell to anyone looking to buy a vehicle, and I would definitely recommend Armand to anyone!

I just bought my 2014 Mazda CX-5 from Criswell Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM (pre-owned department), and I couldnt be happier. A friend of mine recommended Mike Long, and he was really great to work with. He asked me what I wanted out of the car buying experience (what dealer does that??), patiently listened to and answered my questions, talked to me about the car I was looking at versus others, and because it had been a long time since I had purchased a vehicle (16 years), he explained the various steps of the purchasing process before they actually took place. He wanted to make sure I felt totally comfortable with everything happening and didnt feel pressured to buy or get any add-ons. In the end, I got the car I wanted, and feel good about the purchase (no buyers remorse here!). Mike took the time to demo the various features on my car, and even picked me up from Carmax where I had sold my old one. He really went out of his way to be helpful. Im already recommending him to my friends. And even though I bought a 'pre-owned', ''other brand' vehicle, Mike, Steve in Finance and everyone at Criswell treated me like I was buying from their new car department. Thanks, guys!

So let me just start by saying I've gotten a new job recently and just paid off 3 different credit cards with my commission check this past Friday. That being said, I know my credit score is CURRENTLY in the mid 600 range (only due to use of more than 30% of my available credit) and that next month my credit will soar due to the cards being paid off and I'm more likely to get agreeable terms. The point being made is that I'm in no rush.I'm in the market for a 300C. I have been working with Denard Carey. I had an absolutely abhorrid experience. Talk about a Non-Customercentric attitude. He refused to listen to anything I said and continuously cut me off in the middle of my sentences and continued to pressure me to fill out a credit application before he did a rough appraisal on my trade based on info I provided (Pictures, Vin, Miles, Interior, Exterior pictures). I had to ask more more than three times to stop cutting me off and let me finish my sentences. Clear evidence that he cared not what I thought or what I had to say, only about himself and when he could make money off of me. I finally got him to be quiet for a BRIEF moment when I was speaking and informed him that I am in NO rush and I'm not going to buy anything other than a 300C with the options I want. Well, I tried to tell him all that, but he continued to talk over me and this time I just continued to talk instead of letting him cut me off for the fifth time. He then proceeded to say we can't do business. Which is hilarious because if he had just sat back and listened to me he would have heard that I'll be in a better position to do something next month with my better credit score and a downpayment from my next comission check if this month isn't workable. Your loss Criswell. I have some choice words for my experience, but I'll just leave the facts. Thanks Denard. You're the best.

I went to this dealership because my Costco disc was at this location. I met with Leon Travis. From the very beginning of our phone and email conversations he was great very nice, patient and took his time with me, and if any one knows me they know I ask a lot of questions. I want a safe and reliable car but most importantly one I can afford. Leon took at least 2 hrs with me and we went over car over car price over price to see what met my needs. My husband wanted to do other shopping which we did but----- but no one compares to the friendless and patience Leon had with me. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into buying car. I highly recommend this dealership BUT mostly I I recommend Leon Travis as your sales guys!!! worth the drive to see him and I will RETURN :-)

After being given the run around by my local dealership in Newport News VA, I decided to shop around and do more homework on the Jeep Grand Cherokee I was looking for. I went to another local dealer in Williamsburg and they were not willing to work with my USAA membership's car buyers program. I eventually lucked out and found the exact vehicle I wanted, but it was on a lot 3 hours away from me...at Criswell in Gaithersburg, MD. I could have had any of my local dealers do a DX for it, but it would have cost more, and frankly, I was tired of dealing with them.Thankfully, (on my behalf), my brother called and spoke with Armand Amany. Armand at Criswell was happy to honor USAA's TrueCar certificate, as well as the $1000 incentive and the $500 military rebate. Between my brother and Armand, they worked all the numbers out and the following day, we drove up to MD to buy the Jeep. To my surprise, I didn't even have to put down a deposit, so there was a good chance the vehicle could have been gone by the time I got there.Not only was the vehicle still there when we arrived, but Armand was waiting to greet us at the front entrance!! The papers were already completed and ready for my signature. It was refreshing to see a dealership and a salesman that actually CARE about the customers and the car buying experience. He took the time to make sure I understood everything about the vehicle, and even set up my bluetooth and programed the navigation for me. The finance portion was an absolute breeze. If you know exactly what you're looking for and what you are willing to pay, this can actually be a relatively pain free experience. I should mention that because they honored the USAA true car certificate, I was eligible for and received a .59% 36-mos loan through USAA. I couldn't have asked for a better experience all around. A friend recommended Leon Travis and Chriswell. I live in DC and had to pass closer Jeep Dealerships to get to Chriswell. The longer drive was worth it. Mr. Traves is both a knowledgable salesman (he answered all my questions satisfactorily) and a salesman that inspires trust and confidence.My only concern is that the dealership is far away from my home. We had just started our search for a Jeep. We have never owned a Jeep before, so we had ideas in our head of what we were looking for but we really didn't know. We went a different dealership, but they just didn't seem interested in making a deal with us. Armand was very helpful in our search for the exact Jeep that we were looking for. Even though he didn't have the exact Jeep we wanted at the dealership, he offered to search for us and found a few that we may have been interested in. After talking to us more about the Jeeps, he persuaded us to test drive another Jeep just to see if we liked it. We thought we wanted a soft top, but test drove a hard top and fell in love. Armand was never too pushy and got us what we wanted. We weren't able to do the deal the same day, but Armand definitely never gave up on us, and we ended up with a Jeep that was much better than if we went with the first dealership. We extremely happy with what we got and will definitely go back to see Armand again! We had great customer service, and really we did not to spend that much time at the dealership. We felt very comfortable the entire time, and never felt pushed into something we really weren't interested in.

I took my car in to get work done for a recall (free), but they didn't have the part, even though I booked this appointment. Then the service person tried to intimidate me and scare me into getting my car fixed saying it was "dangerous to drive." She insisted that they couldn't release my car without saying it was "DANGEROUS to drive" on the invoice. When I told her I would have my mechanic look at it, she became angry and tried again to scare me into getting the car fixed there. I almost called the police because I didn't think she was going to give me my car back, even though I kept insisting on it. I took my car to my mechanic the next day and he didn't find anything really wrong my car and said it was NOT dangerous to drive.If you go to this dealership have an independent mechanic check your car out to confirm whatever they tell you.

My wife and I had a very good experience with this dealership. We knew we need a car and we knew the make and model. What we didn't quite knew were all the features we really wanted and which we didn't - therefore this car buying included some learning and experimentation. We never felt rushed into buying a particular car just because it is currently on the lot and fits somewhat but not exactly out wishes. We felt that it is important to the dealership that we are happy with our purchase. Carl listened very well to us along the path. The complete process included test driving different cars and identifying which features we want and which we don't really need. All this with still staying within budget. Carl helped us in a very professional and calm way to get the car we liked - more important though at our speed. Once we knew what we wanted, he researched and found exactly the car matching our specifications. We got the impression that this dealership cares about their customers and what they want. Already at the very beginning, entering the dealership, one immediately feels that this dealership is different from many others. Each car sales man has its own office, well lit with large windows, The sales persons are more like agents who help you finding the car you want. They do not give the impression they need quickly to empty the lot to make the sales for the weekend. It seems to me more they are building a customer base that will come back along the road the next time the need a car. This car shopping was absolutely no hassle, it was extremely pleasant and I only can recommend them.

Leon Travis was very good. Kevin Jones gave us an excellent test drive and was very knowledgeable. Leon was very accommodating and worked hard to get us a good and fair deal, but we felt the manager Toeg was not as responsive to our good faith offer. After we purchased our 2014, he went out of his way to tell us the 2015's were coming out for order the next week. This fact was kept from us when we asked and might have made ur wait or ask for a lower price. Not a good business practice which left a bad taste. This has nothing to do with Travis nor the car which we like so far.

I waited two days for things to settle before providing my review. Criswell dealership is where I will always go for a vehicle because of Sales Consultant like Mike Long. One of the major foundations of any dealership is its Sales Consultants. When I was searching for a vehicle, Mike's actions demonstrated to me why Criswell gets my Best Dealership rating - he not only listened but heard what I desired, and made my vehicle desires into reality by working hard for me, his Manager and Finance Specialist. Exceptional may be a better term to describe this particular Criswell team who worked for me. I appreciate finding me the new vehicle purchase. Already neighbors inquired about the new vehicle. In addition, I must mention the unknown Criswell employee who pointed me in the right direction outdoors - he was not in Sales yet very courteous and professional, another plus for Criswell. Started online looking for a 2014 Wrangler and looked at several dealerships only to find they all had very little inventory and not a lot of help. I looked at Criswell's website and not only did they have the inventory, but were willing to help me find what I was looking for. Mike Long sent me an email and asked me what I was looking for. I told him that I had seen a JEEP online and he was happy to discuss it with me. I could tell the man knew his product because he mentioned things that only JEEP owners know. I told him I had to have a black Wrangler Sport and told him the equipment I wanted on it. We set an appointment for a test drive that Saturday and when my wife and I arrived at the dealership we were greeted by some of the most cheerful and welcoming people we have ever seen. When we asked for Mike, the person got him right away and Mike greeted us with a professional and cheerful attitude. I cannot say enough good things about Mike. He is hands down the best new car sales consultant I have EVER worked with. His desire to make my wife and I comfortable and provide us with the information we needed was nothing less than second to none. We test drove the new Wrangler and I was blown away by the changes from my 05 to the 2014 model. He even came to our house on Sunday to look at our trade because we did not bring it on Saturday. We came to an agreement on the numbers and the hunt started for the black soft top sport I wanted. Mike did not stop until he found the right JEEP and went himself to get it. When I got to the dealership to pick up my JEEP It was clean and ready for delivery and I was impressed yet again by Criswell's attention to detail and quality of service. Applause to Mike and his team at Criswell for providing me with the BEST car buying experience I have EVER had. I will recommend Criswell to ANYONE I KNOW that needs a new or pre-owned car. Mike Long has restored my hope that someone can buy a car with no hassle or lies and can get the level of service that someone who is about to spend several thousand dollars deserves. I purchased my Dodge Journey earlier this week. Mike Long, the Criswell salesperson, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in--the Grand Cherokee Overland--and worked a very acceptable & fair price. Likewise, the finance department person, Dan Leithauser, was also very knowledgeable and processed the loan quickly while also explaining all options. They were always courteous--which is what you expect--and very professional. This was the 2d time I bought a Grand Cherokee from Criswell and they are far superior than the previous Gaithersburg Jeep dealer.

Detour!! Detour!!Terrible just terrible. I went in for a Dodge Dart and ended up wanting to buy the stylish New Jeep Cherokee. Where to begin..where to begin? It was so new, I had to order my vehicle. 1) They entered the ordered in wrong, plus after the promises of a 3-4 week arrival, thankfully, it still hadn't showed up. I should've took that as a sign of incompetence. I eventually found a vehicle on their lot that had similar packages that I wanted, except heated seats- I went with them installing it. Unbeknownst to me they put in a single stage switch (High Heat only) plus it was not put where the traditional buttons are. Instead they were put under my armrest. I was not informed they were going to be installed there and that I wouldn't have a high-low option. When addressed they told me I'd have to pay extra for them to put in the new switch and that the location of the buttons couldn't changed. Wish I had know both, so stay away from any aftermarket suggestions. When they needed to send it back to the installers in the morning, they wouldn't even pay for a $40 rental car so I could get to work. I should've went with my gut on this place.When financing they told my approval check from my credit union wasn't acceptable and that they needed me to fill out their credit application as back up in case the check didn't go through. Really? Working with the finance guy wasn't much better. He was aggressive, pushy and didn't want to go over the numbers with me. His excuse- "I don't get involved in the deals/numbers that sales give". Absolutely playing ignorant. Within my first two weeks of having it I was already in Service. Crappy experience there as well. They told me the vehicle was still adjusting to my driving patterns and that everything would resolve on it's own. Wow-Come on! Plus when I needed my front plate bracket mounted they wanted to charge me for it.Crazy stuff! One thing after another. If I wasn't strapped to get a car, after waiting a month- I would've left at the first sign of trouble. I recently got a great deal trading that Jeep in. It was slow- zero torque, the entertainment options had glitches, a fan belt was chirping, plus the engine wouldn't shift on time. The vehicle and the experience were terrible that changed it for the new 2014 Volvo XC60 I used to own. Save yourselves and go to Darcars of Rockville, way more professional, better buying experience and guess what you can get a rental car with no hassle.RUN!!...Don't look back, I promise you, you aren't missing anything.

I visited the dealership in the fall just looking to see the new Cherokee and see if it would meet my needs and fit my price range. On my first visit Mike went out of his way to show me not only the base level Cherokee but also the higher end Trailhawk I would end up purchasing. Every time I spoke with Mike he leveled with me on information and answered all of my questions no matter how small. When my wife and I were ready to order the vehicle Mike again went out of his way to make sure we got our order in as quickly as possible. The order process did not go smoothly due to errors on the Jeep corporate end and I have expressed this in an earlier survey. During this time Mike did his best to smooth out the bumps of which there were many. He even handled the criticism in the survey professionally. My intent in filling out the survey as I did was to reflect on Jeep corporate, not Criswell. To anyone who wanted to do business with Criswell I would say that they will do everything they can and tell you the truth during the sales process. So listen to what Criswell says and ignore what the manufacturer says.

Wanted to comment on our recent experience at Criswell where we purchased a new Grand Cherokee. To summarize this was by far the easiest, stress/hassle free car buying experience we have ever had. Bill Flowers was excellent to deal with, very responsive and straight forward. We did not encounter any of the typical negotiation tactics (speaking with 5 different managers, etc) and even the initial price offered was very fair. I had done the research ahead of time so we discussed very openly with Bill some strategies to meet our budget requirements and within a few minutes we were set. The remainder of the process financing, paperwork etc was done very efficiently and without hassle. We would highly-recommend you put Criswell on your list when shopping for a new vehicle.

Called Criswell to buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Mike Long answered the call. Mike came to my office to pick me up and let me drive the Jeep back to the dealership. While driving back, Mike did a great job explaining many of the Jeep's features. Once we got back to the dealership Mike was very professional and gave me a very fair price for the vehicle. He put zero pressure on me as we discussed options. In fact, Mike told me which options might make sense and which ones would not. Finally, at the end of the transaction Mike did a great job walking me through all of the features of my new Jeep until I was completely satisfied. For reference, I rate my previous vehicle-buying experiences at dealerships other than Criswell as good. However, my experience thus far with Criswell is EXCELLENT. Customer service is clearly a priority at this location. I dealt with Leon Travis. He treated me with respect and patience. I started my purchasing experience with the Jeep Patriot in mind. Leon never once tried to push me toward a different vehicle or extra features. Even after I transitioned to purchasing a Jeep Wrangler, he always worked to answer my questions in detail. As I'm a first time Wrangler buyer, he also asked thoughtful questions regarding my own preferences and plans for a Wrangler. These questions and their answers greatly influenced my model selection. Based on my market research, Leon quoted me fair prices for both my trade in and new Wrangler without any haggling. Even after placing an order for a Wrangler, Leon Travis and Sam Hall worked diligently to make last minute changes to my vehicle options and never once showed signs of frustration. I was shopping for a good deal on a fuel-efficient car in the Corolla/Sentra/Mazda 3 class. I hadn't considered a Dodge Dart, but I saw one advertised for a good price in a circular in Philadelphia while traveling, so I used my Costco membership to match me with a Dodge dealer near where I live in Maryland. Well, it matched me with Criswell in Gaithersburg and I live 35 miles away from Gaithersburg in Landover. At first, at the price I was quoted on the 2013 Dart (new, but still on the lot), I didn't think it would be worth the time and expense of travelling that far to test drive the car. I didn't expect much since I was unfamiliar with the Dodge brand, but Mike Long patiently explained how the Dart differed from the other vehicles I had considered and why I should make the trip. In the end, I made the trip. I absolutely loved the Dart. It was everything he said it would be. He was right. It was worth the trip and he worked with me on the price, so it was worth the money as well. I give this dealership high ratings because they didn't mislead me or waste my time and they treated me with great courtesy.

I cannot warn you away fast enough:A Giant shiny monolith rises out of the pavement to beacon weary Dodge owners to their doom:I scheduled recall service days in advance to permit parts to arrive for my 2011 Ram 2500 (a 1 hour affair, by Dodge estimates). I verified timely shuttle service(3 times), and arrived 15 minutes early. My Service partner took my keys and information and aked me to take a seat for at least 30 minutes to await a shuttle. The shutte arrived about 70 miutes later. My service partner told me it was hours of work to do the parts replacement. I smiled and accepted my lot, and cut my lost time to 90 minutes so far.I borded the shuttle, and took a 5 minute drive to next pitcher plant, jutting out of the pavement: this one beacons the Chevy owners to share my fate.My shuttle driver got a call while waiting for the next patron. We were headed back to the Dodge shop to get more victims.I exited at this point-stage right, and walked the 1.3 miles back to my office. Nice weather in Maryland this week: polar vortex and all.3 HOURS ELAPSED: My associate called me back: they will need to re-schedule because this visit only permitted the shop to make measurements. They needed a few more weeks to perform this scheduled recall due to lacking the right parts. 'Dodge central office was really backed up, and Criswell Dodge could never be blamed for corporate's poor planning.'Me: fine, can you have the shuttle come pick me up? Him: do you want their number, you can call them...Me: I will be there within the hour to pick up my vehicle.So I roll in, asking another co-worker to take 20 minutes out of his day to help me in my plight. I arrive about 45 minutes after my call with Will. He is not there, and since it is lunch hour, there is only one service percson, handling the lunch rush. I explain my situation, and he send a minion to retrieve my keys and fetch my ride. (I checked for the location of the vehicle, and left my coworker standing at the curb: who knows what could happen next?)This poor kid (minion) can't handle the truck, and the delewrship has managed to block the truck in with no less than three other vehicles. (sing refrain here). I send my colleague back to work. He doesnt have enough pocket change for bail. I responded to a query from the floor manager about my loitering. He got the message, and suggested he had some things to work on. I took the keys from the minion, extracted my vehicle from it's landlocked state, and cruised back to my place of work (all the while knowing that Chrysler has issued a safety recall for my front suspension and steering: un-remediated). Oh yeah: they lost the recall paperwork. I guess Io can always call Chrysler for another copy before I take an unexpected right angle to traffic driving home tonight.STAY AWAY: this is a CF.

Mike Long worked tirelessly to get me into the new 2014 Jeep SRT8 I was looking at. I was looking to trade my 2012 Jeep SRT8 and had a goal price/trade in mind. I had two other offers that were better than Criswell's, but Mike worked my numbers and emails to the bone until his Boss cracked. My family drove down on a weekend and were leaving in less than 2hrs after Mike looked at my trade, cleaned the new vehicle, and we signed the paperwork. Very happy with Mike, his Boss's willingness to give the best deal, and the dealership's environment. We live in Hawaii and my husband is in the military and being deployed. I had a great experience with Carl Wilhelm at Criswell. I spent a month doing on-line shopping for a 2013 Dodge Durango. Carl was fantastic through the whole process. He was patient, polite, and responsive via email. Other dealers used a mix of emails and phone calls to try to get me to show up at the dealership without really discussing or negotiating the price. Carl kept me informed and we negotiated via email as I narrowwed down my Durango choices.In the end, I had two other dealers quote prices for the exact same Durango on Criswell's lot; both prices were much higher. I also had one competing quote for a different Durango (different exterior color). That competing quote came out $200 under Criswell, but I had a negative personal experience with that dealership, so when I was ready to buy I went to Criswell first.I only met Carl the day we bought the car. I showed up with the competing quotes and asked Carl if he could beat the lowest price, as he had stated in one of his emails. I plainly stated I was at Criswell because Carl had provided better customer service, but I was going to buy a Durango that day based on price. If Carl could beat the other quote, he had a deal, if not I was reluctantly heading to the other dealership. Carl sold me the Durango at my asking price which was $200 lower than the best competing offer. (Note: I'm talking about final out-the-door price with tax, tags, title, dealer processing, etc, all added in.)Carl then sat in the Durango with us and went over all the features of the Durango. He even helped us program our phones into the UConnect Bluetooth system and helped us program some of our favorite Sirius satellite radio stations.My only negative comment was there was a bit of a delay between negotiating the final price and actually filling out the purchasing paperwork with the finance guy. It wasn't excessive, but a bit longer than I thought it should take.If you are looking to do the majority of your shopping via the internet, and you'd like to discuss options and pricing via email or text, I highly recommend contacting Carl Wilhelm.

Mike, Ale, and Jeffery made buying my Jeep and easy, straightforward, and enjoyable experience. Mike had the vehicle ready in the morning based on my email request for test drive, was very knowledgeable about the product, and facilitated getting the deal done. I worked with Bill Flowers and David Merritt interchangeably. They both were extremely accommodating to myself and my family, even when I had to bring the twins into the store. It was a great experience with fantastic people that made you feel invited and that they truly wanted you to be happy with your car. The team was less about selling 'a car' and more about finding 'the car' my wife and I wanted to buy. Again, a tremendous team and experience. Oh, not to mention, EXTREMELY competitive, if not the best at working to get you the most for your used car. I traded in a 2012 GL450, which had the bumper replaced with a Carfax incident, the TEAM at Criswell gave me $45,000 (which was only 1000 under kbb), were TATE in Frederick offered me only $38,000. I"m sorry, there is a problem somewhere if there is that large of a discrepancy, and it wasn't with Criswell if you know what I mean. Buying the Grand Cherokee was VERY QUICK, I got to the dealership and they had the paper work ready, I walked through the car with David and the finance team was ready to go through everything. I was in and out in 1.5 hours, including going back to parts for cross rails and all season floor mats. So, if you are buying a car, want an amazing deal, but also a wonderful experience with amazing people, I would 100% recommend the folks at Criswell, specifically, Bill and David.

i wanted to take a minute to rate my dealer, Mike Long did an ABOVE OUTSTANDING job with the sale of my vehicle. On the chrysler customer promter score I rated a 2 about my vehicle satisfation simply because when i called chrysler direct, the gave me WRONG information when it came to the UCONNECT SYSTEM. Chrysler corporation itself told me that the" IPHONE 5 WAS INCOMPATIBLE" and an update would soon be sent out to all customers. That information was completely inaccurate which made my rating a "2" because that system really is the only decent feature of the car. In doing so, i may have made my DEALER look bad when in actuality I told him about the issue, he PROMPTLY went to my vehicle and synced my phone to my vehicle and proved that THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION gave me inaccurate informaton. I have loged a complaint with CHRYSLER in hopes that i can change my rating in the "CUSTOMER SATISFATION SECTION" on the "PROMPTER SCORE"Finally, I wanted to express my "COMPLETE SATISFACTION" with Mike Long and I hope the higher ups at Criswell will take the time to follow up and make this right with Chrysler. Mike Long did not deserve to take the hit on this, It was not his fault, It was Chryser Corporation itself. I am a very persistant person and I believe in fairness, I am a supervisor in my proffession and I would break my back to ensure that everybody is treated fairly and gets what they deserve. The last thing I want to happen is somebody to be blamed or reprimanded for something that they did not have anything to do with.If anything, Mike Long should be "COMMENDED" for making the Chysler corporation proud and handling an unsatisfied customer and making them satisfied. Especially when a dealer makes CORPORATE look good......Excellent job

Not having purchased a new vehicle in nearly ten years, I was apprehensive at first with regards to aggressive sales personnel. 2012 Dodge Ram. My husband and I specifically asked Carl if the truck had a full size spare since we have the tow package and we always get full size spares. Carl assured us it was a full size spare. Now we find out it is a donut and Carl is doing nothing to make it right.My husband was to get free oil changes and the first time he went they tried to charge him.Shortly after getting the truck my husband had to take the truck in because the engine would not turn over. We have had the truck in 3 times so far and Criswell does not seem to know what the problem is or how to help us. Interesting that this problem in the Dodge forum has been going on for 10 years.Criswell managers are unresponsibe, do not respond to messages or emails. Would never recommend this dealership.

I purchased a Jeep Commander warranty for an extra 2000 when I bought the car at Carmax about 8 months agoIt started having problems and Criswell assured me that they will take care of it. I dropped it off and my service person Marcus Dominguez assured me that they will take care of all. I picked it up on Friday after two month !!!! or 59 days of "repair" It was recommended by Marcus that additional things should be fixed totaling another $ 1800I said I would bring it up with my own mechanic to which he responded he could do it for $ 700I declined, obviously.The work performed seems unsatifactory, since on the way home the car jumps unvoluntarily and the AC stopped working on the way home.I left a message and we shall see what happens....In addition, after I was assured by Criswell that the rental would be covered, it turns out that it is not the case and they will charge me 52 days for the car rental. I am planning on taking the case to court.In addition the Service manager Bob Wisman told me that mine was one of five cars that he has in the shop that "blew up", after being purchased by Carmax and that Carmax is under review by the State of Maryland.I spend 20 000 on this car at Carmax. Criswell dragged their feet, excuses for snow days and mechanics not showing up etc. etc... Never heard of a repair taking two months!!Needless to say, I think it is a place to be avoided at all costand I will fight hard

When we decided to purchase a new Jeep Patriot Latitude, we were contacted by Mike Long. At that time, we were not ready for this purchase. He continued to touch base with us just to stay in touch. When we were finally ready to make such a purchase, we went from Frederick to Gaithersburg just to see what he had to offer us and to meet him. When were there, Mike had to run out briefly and he left us in the very knowledgeable and capable hands of Kevin Jones. Kevin started a "build your own jeep plan" and he started finding out exactly what we wanted in a new jeep, including the color. We had been reviewing the different selections for several months and had decided that it had to be True Blue and had to have a sunroof. Upon that time, Mike arrived back and they started searching for just the right one for us. This being our first new car in many years, we were exact and specific about our needs and desires. It took them considerable time and effort to find the exact new Jeep Patriot Latitude that we had dreamed about. I was drawn to the dealership as a result of filling out a form for dealerships that offered discounts on car products. I believe it was called auto byte. I've been a ford buyer for the last 40 years and was looking to replace my large, comfortable Mercury Grand Marquis. Unfortunately, Ford discontinued this car in 2011 and did not replace it except for a front wheel drive car, the Taurus. The Chrysler 300 was the only car on the market that was currently being built that could replace it as far as price, comfort, rear wheel drive. Kevin Jones was the salesman that contacted me and sent a questionnaire requesting what I specifically was looking for in the car. Unfortunately, we had communication problems between my IPAD and his computer so we had the discussions when I arrived at the dealership. I accidentally went to Criswell Chevrolet by mistake and was treated very nicely by their staff who in turn pointed out where the Chrysler dealership was located. I spotted the new Impala while I was there and they sent a mechanic out to explain all the answers to my questions on the car. Kevin showed me the new 300 Chrysler on the showroom floor and stated the discount they could give me. While there I spotted the 200 Convertible on the lot and started asking about it. Kevin showed it to me and offered a test drive. The car had the same engine ( a six cylinder) as the 300 I was looking at. The seats are what sold me. Very comfortable for bucket seats. The test drive convinced me that the car had what I was looking for in performance. The car was a 2012 but was new not used. The discount was good and put at a price that I was comfortable financing. At first I wasn't going to trade in my old vehicle but latter in the process changed my mind. Kevin again worked with me on getting the price I wanted. The whole process only took a couple of hours including setting up financing. I have received follow up requests asking how I have been doing with the car and notifying me of 8 free oil changes available to me as a new car owner. All in all it has been a good experience. Now all that remains is to see how the cars reliability holds up. That is one of the main reasons I stayed with Ford the past 40 years.

Dave was the greatest sales person I have ever dealt with. He came in over two hours before he was supposed to work to meet me and find me the perfect vehicle. There was no pressure and he offered me tea. He works with you and treats you the way you want to be treated. Very honest and will let you know if anything was wrong before you come to the dealership. Example: something was misrepresented online and he called me before I came in to tell me. I made several visits to Criswell before I bought my Jeep. My guess is that I am a difficult customer because I want service when I want it but want to be left alone when I dont. The salesforce - Kevin Jones in particular - was ready to serve but also respected my desire to be left alone. Kevin Jones and Dave were a good team. Each offered me test drives and information on my visits. But never did I feel their presence unless I wanted it nor was there pressure to buy. No heavy handed stuff. Love my my jeep and my experience was first rate.

We had a great experience with Criswell and Mike (Long). We went in with a certificate from USAA for the exact purchase price and financing so we thought everything was a done deal. Boy were we wrong! Mike let us know that he could do even better on the price, which in the end we bought a 2013 Chrysler 200 for less that a used 2012. Then it was on to the financing. We came in with at a pretty good percentage rate thinking we had it made. Criswell beat that rate by a full percentage point allowing us to afford the bumper to bumper 100,000mile warranty. The trade in was a smooth transition and before long we had a newly washed, waxed and fueled Chrysler 200. We cannot imagine a better experience than we had with Mike Long and Chriswell. This car was a surprise birthday present for my husband which left the lot driving his new car and wearing the biggest smile he could manage. Thank you to Mike and Chriswell for a great experience!

I went to the dealership looking for a car that I can afford and that would handle the snow. Mike Long showed me the 2012 Jeep Liberty in the showroom and I was in love with it. He showed me the difference in prices which helped me decided if I wanted to lease the car or buy it. Once I decided to get the car he help my father and I navigate the inside of the car and showed me new things about the car I would have not noticed. Mike was very knowledgeable of the car which helped. Later he helped my dad set up a date to put Cilajet on his car. Later that day Jeffrey Duncan was helping us with the financal aspect of the car and asked us to look over the numbers. One of the numbers was wrong and he helped us fix it right away. I apprectiate the kindness that all of the Criswell employees gave me and I am very happy with my car.

My experience at Criswell Jeep was very positive from my initial call right through picking up my new Jeep Liberty. I had done my research and knew model/features/price range I was interested in and called the dealership. I was very upfront that I was a loyal Jeep customer (2 Jeeps in 23 years with a combined mileage of over 600,000 miles) and was looking for not only a new vehicle but a dealership with a quality service department should I ever need repairs. I was put through very quickly to Bob Jeffries who was courteous, helpful in answering my questions, verified the vehicle I was interested in and had seen on their internet ad was still available, gave me dealership hours, and availability of current Jeep promotions for vehicle. He invited me to view the vehicle in person but was not high pressure. I did not make an appt but decided to stop in anyway about an hour before closing on the last day of a major Chrysler end-of-year promotion. Although the dealership was very busy (last car buying day of the year), Mr. Jeffries asked if I could wait, offered refreshments and quickly arranged for me to be shown the vehicle. It pulled up for the initial view and test drive in immaculate condition w/ 15 miles on it. The person that went on the test drive with me was also courteous and friendly and let me enjoy trying out all the features. He had just joined the Criswell team and was excited about the opportunity to work there. When we returned, Mr. Jeffries had the sales sheet, promotions that could be applied, warranty information, etc organized which we reviewed together. He was very knowledgable and answered all of my numerous questions about product features and price directly with no pressure tactics. I indicated I would need some time to think over a potential purchase and he explained that Criswell would be open for four hours on New Year's Day and that he could hold the vehicle until early afternoon if I wanted to take advantage of the Jeep end-of-the-year promotion. I did call, made a counter-offer, and drove in late afternoon on New Year's Day. My offer was accepted and I agreed to purchase the vehicle. Mr. Jeffries introduced me to the on-duty finance team member, Mr. Duncan, who went over the types of financing/rates/terms that I would qualify for and was also thorough, courteous and very helpful comparing various financing packages and explaining about various insurance/additional dealer products. He asked and the dealership Sales Manager gave me the additional time I needed to compare rates and I was able to close our deal the next day. When I came to pick up my new vehicle, I purchased some additional floor/cargo mats in the service dept with Mr. Jeffries which were then put in Jeep for me. Mr. Jeffries and I then went over operating the vehicle and final inspections. I was congratulated by the Sales Manager on getting a great vehicle for a very good price (verified by my lender) and an excellent financing package. Criswell, especially Bob Jeffries, gets a 5-Star rating from me for their professionalism, product knowledge and willingness to work with an unknown-to-them potential new buyer. Mr. Jeffries is a gentlemen in the true sense of the word and I have already recommended the dealership and him to my professional colleagues and my lending institution. My only regret is that Mr. Jeffries will probably be retired when it comes time for me to purchase another new Jeep, hopefully a decade from now.

I was not satisfied with other dealers and contacted Criswell to schedule an appointment. Leon Travis immediately contacted me and provided very thorough and friendly service. He was prompt and was always available at the scheduled times. If I was unable to reach Leon since he was with another customer, the sales Manager Ale immediately handled my question and didn't keep me waiting. I bought a 2013 Grand Cherokee and couldn't have been happier with the experience with Leon and Criswell. The key characteristics of good car salesmen are the fact that they are engaging, likeable, and enthusiastic ... But that alone will not make a good car salesman. In addition, you have to know the product that you are selling. Mike Long is one of the few, if not only one now that I'm thinking back, that possess all of these characteristics. After having a terrible experience at another dealership, I reached out to Rhonda Duncan to inquire as to a certain vehicle they had in stock. I explained, I wanted a straight forward sales experience. Rhonda was prompt, professional and very honest during the entire transaction. Sam Hall, the General Sales Manager, met with me to evaluate my trade-in and gave me a very fair price without having to haggle. With these things agreed on, I left a deposit on the vehicle. During the next few days, Jeff Duncan helped me beat the loan rate offered by my bank, and was available for any questions or concerns I had. On Saturday we came to pick up the new Jeep, and it was all washed, gassed and ready to go. The sales paperwork was a quick and easy process. Rhonda spent time hooking up my phone to the Jeep and showing me how to use its features. Other salesman who were not part of my transaction, came up to congratulate me on my new Overland Summit, and were very friendly each time I was in the showroom. I have bought cars from Mercedes, BMW and Volvo, and this was by far one of the best sales experiences I have had. Additionally, my new Jeep is AWESOME! I would HIGHLY recommend this dealer to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. I drove and hour to give them my business and would again.

Leon was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars that were sold there. He took us for a test drive and was always very polite and not pushy at all. We ended up buying the car from him after going back and forth mainly because of the way he treated me and my wife. Additionally, he gave me his personal number to call him if I ever needed anything. My wife took the car in for a little handbrake adjustment and he called us the same night to make sure everything was taken care of. I was looking for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on a fairly tight budget. Jason listened to exactly what I needed and even read between the lines on what I truly hoped for. Taking into consideration my limitations, he hunted down my dream Jeep and he and Ale worked out a deal I could afford. Jeff did some negotiating with the banks and was able to match the low interest rate my bank had already approved for me, making it convenient for me to just take care of everything there at Criswell. Everyone I encountered was friendly and even seemed to share in my excitement.I am in love with my new Jeep and won't even consider going anywhere else when it comes time to car shop again.

My car was rear-ended and totaled last week, so I needed to buy a new car asap. It was my first time doing so, so I was unsure of myself and anxious about the process, decision, etc. I new I wanted a jeep liberty, and visited another dealership in the area first. The sales consultant there was not friendly and acted like he was annoyed with my questions and that I wasn't sure what I wanted/could afford. I found a jeep there that I liked but it was not the color I wanted & they tried to convince me to buy it anyway... But did offer a good deal that fit into my budget. I came to Criswell after that, late on Tuesday night, where I met Leon. He was high-energy and excited and told me that "no question is a stupid question" which made me feel better. We picked out a jeep that I LOVED and test drove it, and I was prepared to buy it that night. Unfortunately the finance rate Jackie initially got was higher than I expected and I was disappointed and felt like I couldn't decide right then. Sam then came and offered a further discount & Jackie said she would try to get a better rate for me in the morning (it was 10pm and they all stayed there to help me). I knew that they were all on my team, helping get me into the jeep that I loved. Leon & Jackie both followed up with me promptly the next day. Jackie worked really hard to find me a lower rate, and with the price Sam came down to, I was able to purchase the jeep today. Leon was really the best - he made me feel comfortable and was so happy to see me & made me feel like I was his only customer. He went above & beyond to make sure all my questions were answered & that all my needs were met. I would definitely refer anyone looking to buy a car to him. I know he is relatively new to the dealership but you would never know- he was knowledgeable and professional & seemed like he has been doing this for years.The only negative is how lengthy the whole process was from start to finish. But I have heard that car-buying in general is a long process so maybe it's just the norm... Not sure since it was my first tine doing this.

Worst operation of all time. Did not follow thru on written promises, Documentation dome incorrectly, Did not supply Vehicle with proper options. Not hones about their "policies and procedure" sine they did not seem to know what they were, Feel I got screwed, just for doing business with them. Never will buy or recommend them to anyone ever. Watch out or take your attorney. Since even the written docs mean little to them.

I stopped into the dealership casually one day last week to look at minivans, since I was thinking of replacing my Dodge Caravan, but had done no 'research' yet. Bob Jeffries greeted me, and was very friendly and accommodating. He immediately brought up a vehicle for me to test drive. During the process, Bob took time with me, did not pressure me, and encouraged me to figure out what features I wanted so he could find the perfect vehicle for me. A few days later I ended up purchasing a vehicle from the Criswell inventory with more features than I needed but I feel I got a fair price. In the meantime, I had evaluated all the Town & Country inventory in the area and knew there were quite a few dealers with from whom I could purchase this Cherry Red van to my specs, but I felt a loyalty to Criswell due to the time they spent and the good service and friendliness they showed me.

My review is mixed because I love the car and was treated with great kindness by everyone at the dealership yet I did not feel the sales person assigned to me was knowledgeable about the vehicle and somehow there was a mix-up about salesmen since I initially test drove the car with a sales person from another branch of this dealership. I ended up going in for the purchase with my original sales person and felt completely comfortable with him but was less comfortable and confident in the sales folks at the branch where I bought my new car. On a minor note, I was not impressed with the preparation of my new car for delivery. The car interior was not wiped down when I arrived (although the sales person noticed this and handled it without me asking him to do so), the car's sticker was thrown on the back seat, and residue from stickers on the window had not been removed. There was rain that morning so I wasn't expecting a perfect exterior, but details do matter to a person picking up a new car. Having previously purchased new cars from Saturn, I was spoiled by the fanfare they showered on purchasers (remember their whole staff would clap you out of the showroom and take your photo with the car to put on a plastic card with your emergency information) but a branded key chain or something beyond a farewell handshake and wave might help build customer loyalty.That being said, I was very impressed by the finance person at this location and I am quite hopeful about the service side as well.

After locating one that closely matched my desires, we finalized the deal over the phone - which I really appreciated. And then, on the day I was to pick up the vehicle, Mike found a better deal for me on a vehicle that matched my requirements better. We liked that there was no high pressure sales tactics. We communicated to Mr. Jeffries that we were not in a hurry to decide. We test drove the two door and the four door and the staff were extremely helpful both times. Mr. Jeffries made sure we were aware of all our options to ensure we were getting what we wanted.We am not pleased with the financing terms. Originaly went to test drive a 2012 Charger SRT8. Carl called 2 days before and said that someone had put a deposit on the car. But, he said that he had another on comming in the week after. Carl could have let me come in and switched me but he was straight up with me. So, he tells me that he had a car with the same engine and performance combination and asked if I still wanted to do a test drive. Sure ... I tested the Charger Super Bee. WOW! Great performance ... Spartan on the comforts. Carl said,"I have an idea ... I have a Charger R/T with the Road & Track package in the Redline 3 red." Hmmm ... OK let's try that. Tested it and the rest is history. I was out of the dealership in my new, red Charger in less thaan an hour. The finance manager advised me on the various accessories and didn't try to preasure me into products I didn't want. They honored the USAA proce and the Factory incentives. The trade in was quite fare. I tried dealers in Virginia ... high preassure, weekly phone calls and emails ... not my thing. This experience was way better.

I found nothing to complain about with my dealership experience and that is rare. My sales consultant, Care Wilhelm, was very attentive, knowledgeable, and respectful. Best of all, he knew exactly how much assistance I needed from him and was not trying to sell me. Although I did not "work" specifically with Jason Allen, he talked in detail with me about possible future customization to my vehicle after he learned that I was interested in that. Finally, Jeffrey Duncan, provide a great finance office experience. He told me about all the extras that all finance offices talk about, but he did not try to push anything. He was very helpful in explaining extended warranties when I inquired about them. Overall, I would recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to keep it hassle free and without any dealer or sales "tricks".

The buying process was completely pressure-free with the ****** Auto Program, so he was free to talk about the Jeep without having to sell it. This was much appreciated, because we were free to learn about the car and compare it to our other choice, instead of worrying how much every little desired extra option cost. We ended up getting a Chrysler that day (4/30/12) and had the "help" of Ale Toueg and Jeff Duncan. They made the car-buying experience the public expects and deserves. From the start when i got to the dealer everyone greeted me. The dealer and others helped me to find the suv i wanted and a fare value for my trade-in. I was always keep informed of how things where going when i chose a car. I did not feel the normal presure to buy or get options i was just informed of my choices and let to choose the ones i wanted. Was able to close the deal the same day and the dealer even went over the car with me and showed me what i would need to know.

Noah gave us good deal on a 2012 jeep grand Cherokee almost new. He was not pushy, and he was easy to deal with. He also gave us information on fees in relation to our state. We drove from West Virginia to explore these jeeps. My wife and I are very confident that we made a good choice in picking Criswell.

Here is my review (purchased new car in April 2012):- Quick and informative email replies- Personnel is not intrusive; allows some free time with no sales pressure- The person I worked with (Sales consultant: Carl Wilhelm) was knowledgeable and provided good tips on how to best allocate my money. It was pleasure to work with him, so I would recommend his services to anyone who stops by the dealership.- Trade-in option was fair, again with no extra pressure- Finance department was nice, quick and did not try to sell extra items; also qualified for 0%APR.- Overall this is the best place I know in the area!!!

When I first met Bob Jeffries, I was a "motivated" buyer,to say the least. I was pretty set on the look that I wanted in a new Jeep. Bob was very helpful from the start, making great suggestions regarding just how I could get what I wanted. When it came down to it though, I found just what I was looking for, in their lot. Then came paying for it. Bob offered excellent advise regarding lease vs. Buy options; what made sense in a lease, with regard to equipment options, as well as, what did not. In the end, I bought the Jeep, with everything that I wanted, and it was a Great experience!! I bought a Chrysler 200 and everything went really smooth during the process of the purchase. Richard Beckett was my salesperson and he was just terrific. He listened to what I wanted first and was trying to help me look for something that was on my budget. He was never pushy and made things easier and pleasant. Carl was great to work with, honored the Consumer Reports Build/Buy pricing, and went out of his way to treat us with respect. They played none of the typical "games" some dealerships engage in and made sure we got the car we wanted for the original agreed upon price. After some bad experiences with local Jeep dealerships in VA, was willing to buy the Jeep in MD because of their service.

Best new car buying process used in a long time. Conducted the whole buying process via the Internet and email. Carl obtained the exact vehicle based on my specifications and didn't try to sell me one they already had in stock. Criswell completely honored the USAA special pricing on my vehicle and even offered all manf. rebates available saving us in the end more than $5k. They even offerredmore for my trade when we arrived at the dealership. No haggling, no hassle, whole process was completedly stress free. We were in and out of the dealership in two hours. We would definitely recommend Criswell (a USAA preferred dealer) to everyone.

We used Consumer Reports to find the dealership with the best possible price and Criswell beat out other dealerships by several hundred dollars. We worked with Carl Wilhelm and ordered a Grand Cherokee Overland with all the features we wanted at the best price. Mr. Wilhelm called when the Jeep came in about five weeks later and we bought it the next weekend. We love our new Jeep and look forward to driving it for many years.

We came to Criswell after visiting several other dealerships with mixed results. We had been shopping for our Wrangler for literally over a year, just waiting for the right vehicle at the right price. We had another offer in the works with a different dealership that was further away, and decided to try Criswell and basically see what they could do for us. We spoke with Phill about what we wanted, and he immediately did a search for vehicles at other dealerships, since they did not have the Wrangler we wanted (we were VERY specific). Instead of trying to sell us something he DID have on the lot that didn't match what we wanted, he found us several options that could be brought in from other places. His style was very low-pressure and relaxed, and we decided to think about it and come back. When we returned two days later, we had pretty much decided this was where we wanted to buy our Jeep.Phill was great about working with us to get the Wrangler at the price we wanted, including suggestions for trading off different options and looking for available discounts. Ultimately, we came away with the exact Wrangler we had been looking for and paid exactly what we wanted. Criswell beat every other offer we had from at least five other dealerships. Throughout the whole process, Phill was patient and knowledgeable, and in no way pressured us to make a decision. He was very upfront about what he could do (and what he couldn't) and left it to us to choose where we wanted to buy. We are planning to replace our '99 Wrangler soon, and have no doubt that we will be returning to Criswell to get the deal done!

We had a wonderful car buying experience at Criswell's in Gathersburg. The sales people where knowledgable on the vehicles and delivered GREAT customer service. After having a horrid experience at Dar cars in Rockville we were delighted in the contrast of the way we were treated at Criswell's. The whole team works very well together. We negotiated a great deal on a brand new car that in a timely manner. When we left we felt like we got a Great deal on our new Jeep but also had a memorable experience that will defiantly make us repeat customers to this dealership. Would suggest this dealership to any of our friends and family. And sense we have purchased our car we found out the several friends and family have actually purchased vehicles and feel the same way we do. A great choice when looking for a a new vehicle!

Jason Allen quoted me an internet price of $21,232.00 for a 2011 Challenger SE and my trade in a value of $14,500.00. I arrived at the dealer at 2:30pm to make the deal. During the first part of the deal Jason said the vehicle had been scratched on the left front lower surface of the fascia and they had repaired this. I ask to see the work performed and the in house repair order. I was shown a spot that looked good and somehow the repair work order was misplaced. After he talked with Sam Hall, we agreed that they would drop the delivery fee of $750.00 and I would take the car as it was. The deal continued and I was taken to the F & I department to finish the paper work.At this point I had been there 4 hours and wanted to as quickly as possible complete deal. The F & I person with the contract right side up to me, his right wrist and fore arm hiding the preprinted listings went down the numbers at a lighting pace. I later discovered I had been charged $100.00 TWICE for dealer pricing and the price of the vehicle went from the verbal quote of $21,232.00 to $23,995 AND on the in house purchase order the price was $24,963.40 to $24,989.40 (a 25.44 increase that no one can explain). At the time I did question the sudden increase from the $21,232.00 price to $23,995.00 and was told that the trade in value was too high. AND besides you have signed the papers and thats it. Still trying to work with the dealer I accepted this and told them to put the tags on the car and let me go. While Jason was putting the tags on I found the front side marker lites weren't working ( Jason said they are reflectors not lites and finally admitted they were lites after I insisted they were lites and he needed to try another car on the lot). This finally set me off and I started looking closer at the car in the dark. I found a knot on the plastic bumper that Jason once again claimed was just a piece of plastic that he would just push in and fix. All he did was crack the paint in that area and I had to tell him to stop. I was told to bring the car back the next day and they would fix EVERYTHING.Well you guessed right. After further damaging the bumper while getting the harness reconnected (that was the knot on the bumper). I was told that's all they would do. The paint they applied to the front end when it was damaged doesn't even come close to matching, has dust lumps in it, it's been burned in two spots where the buffer was over used. there are scratches on the bumper from the sloppy reassembly job and it's misaligned. PLUS the yard jockey while filling the tank for the FREE first tank of gas drug the gas hose down the side of the car by the fuel door.I have called too many times to have kept count and told anything from they will call right back to them flat hanging up on me. And Dodge to date tells me they can't do anything about the dealer or car.I have finaaly contacted the BBB and not to my surprise have found out the company has a D rating

We have bought our last 4 cars from Criswell Chrysler in Gaithersburg and found ourselves there for the 4th of July sale this past weekend. We bought a new 2010 Jeep Compass and once again got a tremendous deal on it. To tell you the truth we dont plan to ever shop anywhere else. There is hardly ever any pressure from the sales team I mean you have to expect some but nothing like the other dealerships we have visited. To add to it, their service department has bent over backwards when we would have to take our other vehicles in for service. They have always fit us in as quickly as possible and made sure their work was up to standards. We will continue to recommend Criswell Chrysler!
