Honestly- We were very excited to finally buy a new car, this dealership ruined it. They didn’t know anything about the Hyundai Brand and/or pricing and they had inexperienced sales people (that knew NOTHING about the cars!) We had to correct them multiple times, it was awkward! We love the brand but we suggest going to any other dealer in CT but this one for truthful info/your car buying needs!! It definitely made me want to keep my money. They will have their own backs before yours!

Byron is by far the best sales person that I have dealt with in years. I am sort of a car guy so I typically know quite a bit about a vehicle before going in to look at it. Most sales people these days don’t know a lot about the specs or the technical aspects of the vehicles that they are selling. Byron knows his stuff! He is extremely courteous and friendly, and obviously very knowledgeable. He personally went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction! Great job!

Worked with Chris from sales, one of the most personable and attentive salesman I met after visiting multiple dealerships in the same day. If he’s available ask for him, he genuinely will listen to your wants/concerns instead of trying to push you off or offer you something outrageous like other dealers had. I was offered a very competitive $0 Down lease deal with the current market, and for personal financial reasons I ended up backing out. However in the future I know where I’ll be going and where I’ll recommend others to try and get the best deal on a new car! Thank you!

I purchased a 2017 Genesis G80 with Ultimate package at Genesis of Danbury.Not only will I recommend a Genesis to my friends and family, I will insist that they deal with Anthony Petruzziello. He is the best car salesperson that I have dealt with in the 48 years that I have been purchasing cars. He was patient, well informed, and was a pleasure to work with. He gave me his cell phone number to call at anytime with any questions which I took him up on. The Genesis replaced my BMW 528. I have owned Audis and Porsches prior. It has only been a week and I must say that I love the Genesis.

I used Truecar.com and asked for a quote on a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. 3 quotes came back, and I used the one closest to me in Fairfield. I couldn't close the deal with them, but John, my sales person at Danbury Hyundai was persistent, calling me twice. After I couldn't close the deal at the other dealership, I told him over the phone when he called I would talk if he could give me a certain locked in price on the phone.Not only did he get me my price (below Truecar.com), but the MSRP was $1,000 over the car I was originally looking at. At closing, he let me use my credit cards to get my cc bonuses, gave me my 2 free oil changes, etc. Never any sales pressure, just honesty. I'm floored.This was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had, and trust me- my wife and I are hard negotiators.Well worth the 45 minute drive to the dealership.

I had made an appointment with Tony to look for a car at 9:00 am Friday, he was very prompt and asked me what I will looking for, we went over the inventory and selected a 2017 Elantra which we took out for a test drive, I liked it as it was color, features, We then went in to work out the finances, I had never leased a car but you guys gave me such a great deal I couldn't pass it up. This is the most crooked dealership I've come across in all my car buying years. Their service department will over charge you and not tell you about it until work is done thus making you pay more than you should. If I could give '0' stars I would. They are all phonies and I will never buy/lease another Hyundai. I would NOT recommend DANBURY HYUNDAI to even my worst enemy. Move along... there are a lot of better places to get your vehicle serviced or purchased from!!!

Tony Arzaga was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, patient and a pleasure to deal with. He is the reason we bought a car today! Car shopping can be a painful experience-this was NOT the case at Danbury Hyundai-and certainly NOT the case working with Tony. My husband and I never felt that we were being pushed or being schmoozed. Tony was totally down to earth and spoke to us like a real person. We enjoyed his company-when is the last time you heard someone say that about a car salesman. We expressed our needs to Tony and he met us at our requests-not above, not at a quota that needed to be met. I never thought I would drive a Hyundai but this dealership made me do a 180. They were helpful, thorough and not pushy. I enjoyed the entire process which was painless. No endless hours going back and forth and back again between the salesperson and finance people. It has been my prior experience when picking up and signing for the car to spend at least an hour with the finance person, which was never fun. This took 10 minutes and I was done. I absolutely love my 2017 Tucson and would recommend it to anyone. Chris Keefe, my salesperson, was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle as well.

I don't have the best credit so I wasn't sure what kind of financing, if any, I would be able to get. Chris Keefe was fantastic from the second I met him. He made conversation outside of trying to make a sale and I never once felt uncomfortable or nervous in any way. Everything was expressed clearly and there were no long wait periods. He was able to get a good deal for my situation and I will definitely be driving away happy. 100% will be using Chris for all car purchases in my future.

As stated earlier in the survey John Restrepo gave less than favorable customer service in fact after waiting for 27 minutes he didn't show up the sales floor even after being payed 5 times. Tony Arzaga greeted me even thought I wasn't there for him but after waiting I approached him and he turned an unfavorable experience into one of the easiest car shopping experiences I have every had. He located my car out of state had it delivered to Danbury signed sealed and delivered. He was honest in dealing and extremely knowledgable about the vehicle and I will highly recommend anyone looking for a Hyundai to go and see Tony. He saved me as a customer and a sale for Hyundai as otherwise I was ready to leave and go to Kia next door. Great job Tony! Thank you for a great experience. To the mamagment team at Danbury Hyundai you should highly take note of this and give exceptional recognition to Tony for going above and beyond and saving a customer and a sale and perhaps give John a lesson in what great customer experience should be.

They were able to do both for me and I was able to leave with a car that day. I received a letter stating that I could trade my 2014 Sonata for a 2016. For a while I had been contemplating on how to get out of the car and into an SUV so I figured that I would try it out. However, I was very hesitant on going back to Danbury Hyundai because when I bought the Sonata the sales rep was very rude and disrespectful. But when I arrived I met with V. Little and we went over all of the paper work. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen. I have no complaints at all and when I decide to trade in I hope that I am lucky enough to get him again.

Great experience with Nicole and the sales manager Steve. I am a long time Toyota driver, but now switched to Hyundai. I liked the way they did not over pressure me to buy. I also liked how the manager came out to talk about the pricing. Genuinely nice with no pressure. Luckily I was recommended to speak to Nicole, by my co-worker, because I was not happy with Chris Coco who ran out into the parking lot when I arrived. He was extremely rude and I would have left if I had to deal with him.

I have a lot of experience with private deals and my advice is start with a really good dealership like Danbury Hyundai because otherwise it will end up costing , so much more. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't be intimidated! Definitely did not feel like that with Danbury hyundai.

Chris Keefe was our salesman when shopping for a used car for college bound daughter. We had a couple of specific cars we wanted to look at. Chris was friendly and realized we had already looked at the cars online and brought out the two cars for us to test drive. He didn't hesitate when we wanted multiple drivers to test drive each car and was able to take us on different types of roads (residential, business, highway) to get a real feel for each car. We own a high end car purchased through Danbury Hyundai. One reason for choosing this particular car was their guarantee of 'high end service' comparable to Mercedes, etc (which we've also owned.) We've struggled with Danbury's execution of high end service since purchasing this car 3 years ago. This last incident was the most disillusioning of any service I've received anywhere. Danbury does all my maintenance, including tire replacement. This tire brand has its own warranty that covers road hazards. Danbury never informed me of this warranty. I discovered this warranty option when it got explained to me by the neighborhood tire shop where I first went to fix the nail in my tire. With direct help from the Tire Manufacturer through a call to Danbury Hyundai, we both attempted to explain and guarantee warranty compliance for a replacement of my damaged tire. The cashier at Hyundai took our calls; refused to listen to me or the Manufacturer when we called, was rude in conduct and conversation, interrupting, speaking over and denying facts and refusing to let the Tire Manufacturer speak with the Manager. After two days of futile effort, I went back to the tire shop. Within minutes, he obtained the necessary paperwork and received approval from the Manufacturer to replace my tire at no cost to me. BTW this tire shop is a full service shop. Where is the high end service guaranteed by Danbury Hyundai? I will be contacting the parent company to report this failure.

That's what me and my wife were doing for two weeks. I went to Danbury Hyundai to get info on leasing a 2017 Elantra. It was more of a "fact-finding mission" than an intent to walk away with a deal. I wanted to trade in my 2010 vehicle for something newer and thought the Elantra would be a good fit. After a few short discussions about pricing I received the proverbial "offer that I couldn't refuse". The entire staff couldn't have been more helpful. Chris Keefe spent as much time as I needed going through the different options in each model until we decided on the right model for me. I never felt any pressure to take a car that they wanted to sell me. I told them what I was looking for and that was the only model we talked about.Bottom line:If you go to Danbury Hyundai, and are serious about getting a car, they will make the deal that works for you.

I was reaching out to about a dozen Hyundai dealerships in NY, NJ, MD, PA and CT about the 2016 Veloster Turbo. I asked the same question to every dealer. I want 2016 V Turbo man/ Trans with and without the Tech package. Please give me your best internet sales price and best internet out the door sales price. Every dealership gave me your typical sales pitch and all the managers would send me emails, and their managers would too. All wanted me to come in and can i have your phone number so we can contact you. Blah Blah !!! Except one person and one dealership. "NICOLE CHERUBINI"....AKA Nicky C. In one email response she sent me EXACTLY what I asked for. Nothing more and nothing less. No annoying follow up emails. No managers sending me desperate emails. I drove from NJ to CT to pick up my car. No need to counter offer on the sales price, the price was better than any dealer in 5 states. No need to counter offer on my trade in, they gave me a very fair offer. The paperwork was ready for me to sign, and done. This experience that i went through is unheard of when purchasing a new car. Aside from Eli who did what he could, the rest of the staff I dealt with was forgettable. The Sales Manager had the personality of a tree trunk, came in to talk final numbers and from the moment he joined the conversation he just rushed everything and was completely unpleasant and arrogant. Had I come in and dealt with him from the start instead of Eli, I would have left and not come back. Scheduled to come in on Mother's Day, moved plans for it only to find out nobody informed the finance manager we were coming who consequently called out. When we finally met the finance manager after telling them 715 and racing home from work, Joe proceeded to disappear for 20 minutes and then make a comment about us being late (he thought 7 not 715) after us just moving around plans the day prior for him to call out of work. Eli was great, helped with what I needed, no frustration with showing me multiple cars until I found one I liked, never overly pushy always felt like suggestions not orders.

No pressure to buy, just answered all our questions and showed us only what we asked to see. Our interest, and eventual purchase, was a high end model. We did not reveal that to the account manager until well into the discussions so the price of the vehicle did not influence the treatment we received. I purchased my second car at Danbury Hyundai and worked mostly with Ileana Aguirre. She met me outside around 30 minutes after I arrived, which gave me some time to look at some vehicles. We narrowed it down to the 2014 Hyundai Accent and went through all of the details which included a trade in and a remote start. Spent about five hours at the dealership and was able to take home my new car. Ileana also stayed in touch with me a few days later to help schedule me for the remote start installation. Overall I am pleased with the visit.

I guess the first mistake I made was to do an internet inquiry on the vehicle I was interested in. John contacted me by phone soon after I made the inquiry and immediately told me that he had at least 5 people that day interested in the same vehicle. Because of this, he stated that he would put the vehicle to the 'side' for me as I was intending on looking at the within an hour. When I arrived, John immediately told me that he sells 300 cars per month and handed me the keys to the vehicle and we quickly went for a test drive. He didn't even give me time to look the car over. While driving the vehicle, I felt a pull in the wheels to the right, which meant that I needed to constantly correct the steering by pulling to the left. When I mentioned this to John, he tried to tell me that it had something to do with the type of steering system that is in the vehicle. When I replied to that comment, "does this mean that I will always have to correct the steering to the left?" (He must have thought that I was a dumb female and would fall for that line of crap.) Guessing that he read my face, he then stated that the car must need an alignment and he would have that taken care of. When I pulled back into the dealership John was ready to write up a contract. I still hadn't even 'checked the car out'. I proceeded to do that and noticed a bunch of dings on the wheels which led me to believe that the previous owner may have hit a few, if not many, curbs which I was guessing related to the steering issue. There was also a knick on the rear bumper, that John stated he would have touched up. We then went inside where John started to write a contract. He went online to KBB to estimate the value of my trade-in. When he showed me the value he showed me the page where, if, I were selling my car to KBB, the price they would offer me. The KBB page that has the actual dealer trade-in value was not presented to me and of course, was of more value than he was offering. I am very familiar with the KBB website...I'm not a dumb female. We dickered back and forth over contract issues, i.e., interest rate, etc. When I stated that my credit union was offering a lower rate, John did adjust his offer to match my credit union and increased my trade value by a few dollars. John kept pushing me to sign the contract which I refused to do. I told him that I do not make large purchases like that without giving it at least a few hours thought. John never asked me if I wanted to look at any other vehicle on the lot or what my financial needs were or any questions about me. Perhaps another vehicle on the lot would have suited me better...I'll never know. John stated that he would take care of the vehicle issues and that all would be ready by 3 p.m. that day. (which, according to the voicemail received by John, were attended to) I left the dealership, went next door to another dealership, and, after looking at several vehicles, after having the sales person take into consideration MY needs, purchased a vehicle! I guess all in all, none of this matters, as, both dealerships are owned by the same person, but at least I felt like I was treated fairly and never looked upon like I was a number out of John's 300 sales. Well, John missed out on my sale, but I'm sure he was able to sell the car to one of the other 5 people interested in the car that day!

We were shopping for a specific model (Elantra GT) pre-owned certified from a Hyundai dealership. We narrowed down the logical dealers by geography using www.cars.com. Danbury Hyundai and another dealer in New York State were the two that appeared most competitive. We visited the NY dealer first. The Danbury dealer's car had been detailed and was considerably more appealing than the NY car. The prices were comparable. Our salesman, Joe Aranjo, made the difference. Professional, mild mannered, and knowledgeable. I never felt any pressure and felt confident that we got a superior deal. There was some last minute negotiating which went smoothly. All things being reasonably equal I'd pick Danbury in a heart beat! We have never done business with this dealer before but would highly recommend our salesman who made the experience painless.

Ileana Aguirre was picked perfectly to help me purchase my first car, she was similar age to myself and after getting to know me she could really relate to what I was looking for in a car. It actually happened to be the first or second car she showed me that I fell In love with instantly. However, whilst driving the car around the Hyunida dealership, I was a little rusty with my skills on driving a manual car and had stalled probably one too many times, sometimes in the same spot ( I was in the wrong gear) me feeling completely hopeless about ever driving this dream car Ileana Aguirre was patient, kind and very surrportive and really encouraged me that driving a manual car, is like riding a bike. It is sure to come back to me. What I would also like to mention is that I had a 3 year old son running around and ALL employees were AMAZING , it is incredibly family oriented business, one employee I would like to thank the most was Mike Ariccelli for really keeping my son entertained. Lastly I must mention that Ileana Aguirre and a couple of other employees worked so wonderfully and efficiently as a team when processing my finances and insurance for the car. Three weeks into having my car and I'm still loving it, and I'm better than ever at driving manual!

I entered Danbury Hyundai just to look, really not planning on buying anything and i was certainly not looking for a Hyundai. I have to say that I had a great experience with Tony Arzaga. Tony really got to know my likes and dislikes and matched me with the perfect car. He really knew what he was talking about and never put any pressure on me to make a quick decision. He wanted to make sure that whatever i ended up with was the right fit for me and it certainly is. Tony really worked with what i really wanted and what my budget was. Tony was really the only person i dealt with aside from the finance manager who i also had a good experience with. I would recommend Tony to anyone who is looking to buy a car. If it wasn't for him i probably would have gone a different route with a different make and model. He is a great, honest guy and not the "typical" car salesman you usually think of. I again am so greatly appreciative of my time working with Tony and i hope to be able to work with him again in the future!

What a great experience I had with Tony A. He explained the entire process from start to finish and did everything he could to make the experience as painless and possible from his end. He was in constant contact with me even before I went to the dealership to explain what needed to be done. I had a price range in mind and along with Mike, they were able to get me to feel comfortable with the transaction. He was not pushy at all and made me feel comfortable offering me water and popcorn every time he needed to speak to his manager. After the deal was done, the rest of the dealership team dropped the ball. It took over 3 hours from the time I was done figuring out the numbers, which was 2 hours, until I was good to go. The General Manager, Steve, was so rude and inconsiderate, he alone would cause me never to return to that dealership. The only reason I would ever think of returning is because of Tony and his attention to detail and customer service.The service dept allowed me to drive the car out with one tire nearly flat. Tony was nice enough to fill it with air when we went to fill it with gas but the next day it was flat. My wife went in the next day and was in and out. Turned out there was a nail in the tire.If you are going to the dealership, ask for Tony!

My son went in to test drive a 2008 Hyundai Veracruz at Danbury Hyundai. On February 9, 2016 I contacted the sales person (John Prestrepo) and explained that we would like to put a deposit on the car but we were leaving for vacation the next day and was wondering if they could hold the car until we came back. Joh said he spoke with the General Manager, Steve Yancoskie, who said they normally hold cars for a maximum of 72 hours but he would make an exception and will hold the car until we returned from vacation on the 17th.We were out of the country and I did not have access to a cell phone. When we landed the night of the 17th I had a message from Mr. Prestrepo. By the time I received this message it was 8:30PM and they were closed. I called and spoke with Mr. Prestrepo on the morning of the 18 and told him we were still interested and just needed to know what work was done to the car in their shop and what the actual cost of the car would be with taxes and all their fees. John forwarded me the work done to the car and I asked if he knew how much wear was left on tires and since they replaced the rear brake pads if he knew how much wear was left on front pads, Thursday past with no answers and did not provide the total cost of the car to me.I called John on Friday (2/19/16) and reiterated what I wanted. John asked me to speak with the finance guy (Joe Hernandez) to get the information. I guess Joe told John what I needed but the email I received was hand written. I called John and asked or his sales manager and spoke with the General Manager, Steve Yancoskie. I explained to Steve what I was requesting and he said he would get me an actual invoice of what exactly the cost would be. When I asked him to provide answers to the questions I had regarding the status of the brake pads and tire treads he said he could not give me percentages, the only thing they look at is whether there was enough remaining material to enable the car to pass inspection, which there was (personally I thought this was strange that they would check the level but not record the percentage). I did receive an invoice but had to call Steve back because the sales tax amount was incorrect, which he agreed was incorrect. At this time I expressed my concerns about how this deal was being handled and we left the call with me stating that we are still scheduled to pick up the car tomorrow but wanted to talk to my son (who we were buying the car for) this evening and go over my findings at which time Steves response was okay. As a side note, I was in contact with my insurance provider and already had the transfer of insurance scheduled for Saturday. In addition to this, personal credit reports were run by the dealership and credit was approved.On Saturday, 2/20/16 I received a voice mail from Michael Ricelli, who stated he was the used car sales manager and they met this morning and decided the numbers did not work and we will not be selling you the car. When I called Michael back he said the companys policy was not to hold cars longer for 48 hours. When I explained that they knew my situation and his boss, Steve Yancoskie, agreed to hold it. He did not care about this, reiterated they do not hold cars for more than 48 hours and they needed to sell the car. I explained we were scheduled to pick up the car this afternoon but he said do not bother because they are not selling me the car and will be refunding my $500 deposit. When I asked to speak with Steve, Mike said he was busy and could not speak with me. I called back, received Steves voicemail, left a message and he never returned my call.Over my years I have worked with numerous dealerships and needless to say, I have never worked with a less professional group of individuals than those that are employed by Danbury Hyundai.

John Restrepo was a patient and informed salesman who took me on numerous test drives. He also looked for ways to give me a great price, and explained all options.I was given a repeat customer discount because the Hyundai elantra I was replacing was also bought at the Danbury dealership. I had to bring in some paper work for the elantra about a week after I received my new Tucson. The woman in the office wanted to not give me my repeat customer discount because the Elantra was bought in my husband's name, and the Tucson is in my name. Same last name, Same address, obviously the same nuclear family. Restrepo was awesome, but she was terrible. I do not know her name, but you should fire her. she knows nothing about customer satisfaction and will give your dealership a bad name.

Overall was not a bad experience, but was not as smooth as I would have liked. Cars today have tons of features and I wish I had been more knowledgeable on the models I was interested in. The dealership/Hyundai could have provided more detailed comparisons of features. They also should have done more demonstrations of the features. In the test drives (2 drives of 2 different models) I was told features were turned off or not enabled. In several cases I was given wrong info and ended up without one feature that I was told was on the vehicle. In hindsight I also would have spent more time once I decided I was buying. I/They rushed the purchase and delivery in the end.

I have had my Santa Fe for over a year and I have been nothing but satisfied with and impressed by both the car and the dealership. I receive reminders for each of the suggested maintenance services. It is simple and quick to schedule the services online (I have always been able to schedule the day and time that I want). I receive confirmation emails as well as a reminder telephone call for the upcoming service. When I go to the dealership, the process for leaving the car and then waiting for it is extremely well organized and timely. The staff is always extremely friendly and efficient and the waiting area is comfortable. I couldn't be happier!

About 2 years ago I contacted you about a new Hyundai. Joe Aranjo responded and offered a Sonata about the same price as Fairfield Hyundai. We purchase from them because they were closer to our house. Over time, Joe would send me emails with various offers, he was the only one (dealer) to continue do this, and without seeming to be a pest. When we needed to make another purchase his name came to mind. I enjoyed working with Joe. He was a professional, was not push (old stereotype 1970 used car salesman) and treated us like he would like to be treated. Your facilities are clean, organized and have a professional appearance. I will be a return customer, just not today.

Attempted to include glass etching fee and then told me they do not negotiate their $599 administrative fee but then had me sign a document which said the fee was negotiable. Told them my transmission was slipping. they insisted it was the drain from my AC. I told them it happens even when AC is NOT on, both my husband and I felt it, I know it is not from the AC because I know that feeling from my Miata. Danbury would not fix it nor take my complaint seriously, so I went to the Middlebury dealer who drove the car, felt it slip, and replaced the transmission. there are other numerous botched EXPENSIVE service jobs with Danbury. Do not go to this dealer!

We've purchased 2 cars here previously and always have our service performed here and have almost always had very good results but this time was disappointing. Although we knew the exact model and features we were looking for (and did get the vehicle we came for) it was the lack of attention to detail that was most disappointing. No attempt was made to make an appointment to get the scratches and other imperfections repaired, although we did receive a "We Owe" document. No attempt has yet been made to locate my trade, although I asked since I know I left a garage door opener in it and possibly an EZPass. I have been contacted several times to try to obtain my title (the only copy I have still shows a lien) but rather than waiting for me to get another letter from HMFC and a new title from New York ($20) I am expected to come in and pay $65 and sign a lost title document. Previously, our salespeople actually drove the new car over the border to New York to get an inspection but that didn't happen this time either.I did appreciate the salesman explaining the "extended" warranty if we had the car serviced at Danbury Hyundai, and the Finance person explaining the benefits of the extended bumper to bumper warranty, but overall I remain very disappointed. I'm not even sure who my loan is through since the only credit checks run that day were from Capital One and WFDS; Hyundai Motor Finance does not appear to have run my credit despite the fact that I requested the 0.9%/60 months (or possibly the 2.9% for 72 months), which I assumed were through HMFC.Overall, this was a depressing purchase experience; nothing about it felt great or exciting or gave me the feeling that the sales team really cared about long term relationships.

I said I would get back to this after making a negative comment and after a few frustrating months I am happy to say it is refreshing to see a company owner get involved to make sure his name is not blemished. Purchased a used Subaru that at first issues we were having were addressed but when they resurfaced the used car dept. wasn't very friendly anymore they would make my son leave the car and keep it for a week at a time several times, finally keeping his word replaced the clutch but wouldn't give any paper work or invoice stating such? 4 days later my son said doesn't shift properly and a noise went back and was confronted angrily and comment made "I'm not putting another nickel in that car!" which didn't make cense if the clutch was replaced? but service dept. said wasn't done in house but no one would give me the name of where it was done, I would have taken it there myself, my son and myself kept. going but they would be nasty and tell us to go away! That would make anyone wonder "Was the clutch done?" well 4 days after another attempt to get name of who did work my son calls he is on the other side of Ct. car kept jumping out of gear then loud crack and grinding noise and car stopped. There was a lot of back and forth with other comments and other mechanic that looked at car but to cut short I called Mr. Sabatini himself who without hesitation heard my story and checked with others involved and after many frustrating months Mr. Sabatini is having clutch and trans. that was damaged due to not having clutch looked at when we asked repaired. Mr. Sabatini having it fixed at no cost to me. Deepest Thanks and a few bad apples don't spoil the bunch!

Both my wife and I own cars from Danbury Hyundai and every time we have our vehicles serviced it has been a pleasure. One of the biggest reasons for this has to be the friendly faces that greet you come in. The women up front always make us feel like we are going to be taken care of. I have yet to be surprised by anything on the bill such as it being more expensive than the quote. It's always a pleasure doing business there. I don't think I ever felt that way about a service department of a dealership.

I used a new credit card to put a deposit on a car, drove up with a bank check and all papers needed to seal the deal. On arrival, five different line items we're pricier than promised, and I was pressured to take a deal that was worse than any dealer or Internet quote I showed. The sale was not going to happen, 'nobody present knew how to refund the $500 charge, but I was to be refunded the next day.' Day after day, the refund failed to appear. We had to call the credit card company to contest the charge. During this time our credit card number was leaked to another country, where 63 false charges were placed before the account was frozen. I am suspicious of this coincidence.

I went in there with the exact VIN number of the car I wanted and sat down with Anthony to go over the details after driving it around with him. I was confused with the specifics of the higher rebate and o% APR and he actually went on the Hyundai site with me to clarify the differences, as the website had originally led me to believe I would be getting both. Slightly annoyed with this realization, I decided that I still wanted to get the car. I opted for the higher rebate and low interest loan, and was very pleased with the trade-in value for my current car. I took a break for an hour to get some food, came back and my credit check was done. I got a great APR and picked up my car a week later. My insurance card was ready and registration took less than 10 minutes after I signed for it. As a complete stranger, he treated me like someone he knew, and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. Thanks again!

I came in without an appointment to get my oil changed and have a nail removed from my tire. They were super busy, and probably shouldn't have taken me in, but they did and had me out of there in a very reasonable amount of time!I also received a message about my lease while I was waiting because my mileage is tracking higher than it should for my allowed miles. Vehicle brought in for oil change along with pricing a part for replacement. I had dropped my car off the night before and left a detailed note on the service envelope asking to call me with final cost for the replacement part prior to the actual work being started. They respected my wished and did as I asked. It may sound simple enough but it was nice to have a dealership actually listen to what the customer wants rather than being greedy. The customer service person was very pleasant and since this was a big (32,000 mi) service told me the loaner car promised would be from Enterprise, That process took at least 40 mins, Why not use one of your cars? My car was ready at the time promised, but among the recommendations was "a missing bolt on the front license plate" - really? Just fix it!!! And lastly, I've NEVER been to a dealership that didn't wash a car after servicing, Overall, a good experience, but little annoyances.

I was looking to purchase the 2013 Elantra I had coming off lease. When I questioned the $599 doc fee they wanted, I was treated with utter contempt by general sales manager Steve Yancoskie. I'm planning on leasing a Genesis in August when the lease on my Mercedes-Benz E-350 expires. I had planned to do it here, and I did mention that to him. He was so utterly obnoxious and belittling, that I decided not even to buy the Elantra. I'm going to turn it in and pay the mileage overage charge just to be quit of this dealership. And I'm going to exercise my option of turning it in at another dealership. I'm still shaking my head. Never been treated so shabbily by a car dealer, not even back in the "bad old days." Steer clear of them.

My mother in law came with me to help As soon as we walked in we were greeted by John who asked us if we needed help. He sat us down we laid out what I could afford and what I couldn't. He was understanding that I also had my dad co-signing but he wouldn't be in the state till the next day and for only that day. We test drove the Elantra and I fell in love we got back to the dealership filled out paper work and walked out knowing that all I had to do was bring my dad in the next day to cp-sign. Everthing went great. The gentleman in finance was also great and worked with me and my father. John was fantastic and I would highly recommend! thank you for everything and a great first car experience !

Sales manager was efficient and provided the information I needed in a timely manner, gave me a great offer for my old car and the new one. Never like to accept the first offer, so I went to two other Hyundai dealers, neither came close. I was afraid the sales manager had made a mistake, went back to him to confirm, and the deal was so good I didn't have the heart to try to negotiate anything better. If it wasn't this deal I would have kept my 2013 Santa Fe.

I had been looking for a particular color combination (Pamplona red with beige interior) on a new Hyundai Genesis and the local dealer a mile from my house said that color is very hard to find. He had my second choice on his lot and using Truecar he gave me a very good price on it. I told him I really wanted the red, see how long it would take if I ordered it and how would it affect the price. I never heard back from them, so I went on Hyundai's web site and use their vehicle locator, turns out there was the exact car I wanted at Danbury Hyundai (I live in Wilmington, MA). I called the dealer and talked to a sales associate, Sebastian Merino. I explained the situation and asked if they would match the price that I had gotten locally, he said they definitely would. This was on a Saturday, I put a deposit on a credit card told him I just needed to get the funds together and would fly down later in the week. Sebastian called back an hour later and told me they would send a driver to pick me up if I wanted, they would charge $100 and add it into the price for the car (it was 170 miles and the price to fly was $220), I agreed and we made arrangements for the Following Thursday. The driver arrived right on time, he drove me to the dealer and an hour later I was on my way home with my new car, it was one of the most painless car buying experiences I have ever had (aside from writing the check). I highly recommend Danbury Hyundai, they never pressured me into anything and made it very easy to do business with them.

My wife and I both agree that Danbury Hyundai was by far the best car dealership we have ever been to, hands down.We negotiated the price off the internet with Mark Santaromita, and Danbury beat every other Connecticut Hyundai dealers best price by hundreds of dollars. We did visit Meriden Hyundai first when we were ready to purchase as it was closer to our house. What a horrible experience with Meriden. We were lied to about the current miles of the vehicle and the options included, and were pressured to make a decision right there about whether to purchase. We ended up walking away from Meriden and decided to take a long drive down to Danbury to see the vehicle we were offered. THANK GOD WE DID.When we arrived, the vehicle we were inquiring about was already waiting outside for us to inspect. My wife and I were both skeptical about the options and the miles after being lied to by other dealerships we drove to, but there were no surprises at Danbury. The vehicle was just like the internet said it would be and the miles were exactly as Mark said they were. There was no haggling involved, there was no pressure to take the deal today or it would be off the table. Mark gave us space to speak with my wife with no pressure and let us take a test drive of the vehicle we negotiated. No pressure, no surprises, we shook hands and made a deal within 15 minutes of walking into the dealership. He even gave us an unexpected great deal on our 13 year old Hyundai that we thought we were going to donate.We were pre-approved by my credit union before we purchased the vehicle, and when we made the deal my credit union was closing in 10 minutes. We thought we would have a new car the next day when my credit union opened, but were told financing may be able to match our credit unions rate. I must admit, both my wife and I were skeptical about financing at the dealership. We were waiting for Mike in financing to tell us he could get us close to the credit union's APR and then trying to talk us into signing a loan that was close to what my credit union offered, "but only 10 more dollars a month" to drive our new car home that night. My wife and I were waiting for the surprise or the catch but it never came. Mike did not match the APR, he BEAT IT! It only took 20 minutes to sign the paperwork in financing (and that was mostly because the computer system was down), and that was it! Mark told us to go to dinner, come back in an hour, and our new car would be detailed and ready to go.The DMV computer was down for some reason when we were getting ready to leave. My wife and I were both thinking that we would be picking up the vehicle the next day since the DMV computer was down, but Mark said the registration was all set in the computer and went the extra step to give us a dealer plate just in case. He mailed our registration overnight to us the next day when the DMV computer finally came back online, with a return envelope for the plate so we didn't have to drive back down. I do not know any other dealership that would do that. My wife and I drove our brand new Santa Fe off the lot 3 hours after visiting the dealership (with an hour dinner included) and could not be happier with the car.The Danbury Hyundai staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and more than willing to go the extra mile. The next time I but a car, I will not even waste my time going to other dealerships. Danbury Hyundai just gained a repeat customer. They are highly recommended!

Going into dealing with Danbury Hyundai, I had an unpleasant experience at a different dealership. I thought Danbury Hyundai, specifically John Sullivan did a great job doing leg work to get me what I wanted, in a price range I wanted. He did as much as he could without my ever having to step into the dealership because I lived an hour away, which was really fantastic. While I obviously won't use them for service since they are so far away, I would highly recommend them for their sales people.

His patience with our questions and pondering our purchase was unique in relation to the number of dealers with which we made contact with while updating our "fleet". Other ones didnt even come close in comparison to his warmth and determination and drive to place us in the vehicles we were looking for. The dealers auto selection was more than adequate and the facility is modern and consumer friendly with a staff that across the board was friendly and open. We live some distance away and will gladly travel there to let them provide our service needs without hesitation. The Hyundai service department is the best. I don't want to go anywhere else for service.My first Hyundai wa a Veracruz, which was a great car. Then they called me b/c they wanted me to trade in the Hyundai for something else and I wound up getting a newer model Tucson, which was also a great car. Then last week they called me b/c they have people interested in a 2012 Tucson, and I drove away in a 2012 Honda! I had to make sure that I was still able to bring the car to the Hyundai service department; I didn't want to use any other service department.JT was the salesman, and he was a very nice guy to deal with.Steve Y. was very helpful with the finances and the warranties.And so far, so good - hopefully, even though I don't have a Hyundai anymore, they'll still call me in a year or so for me to trade in the Honda. ;)

Danbury Hyundai service dept. has changed the way we feel about dealer service. Until we bought our Hyudais we had had very typical experiences with other dealerships. The quotes were often misleading and service was very sloppy.Danbury Hyundai employees are very helpful and their word seems to be their bond. We havehad nothing but great interactions with the service dept. Brenda is great. She is one of the biggest reasons we keep coming back. First I would like to day that the salesman(John Sullivan) that sold us the car was great, friendly, and knowledgeable of the cars. My wife and I were very happy with the dealership, until I changed the tires on my wifes car. First, one of the lugs and studs snapped off the car. We brought it in and they took us right in. Since the lug stud snapped off while hand tightening the lug nut, I had asked them to check all of the tires. I was told that that would not be a problem. Two days after we got the car back my wife got flagged down by some other driver who told her that her tire was wobbling a lot and that it looked very loose. Upon further inspection, all of the lug nuts were completely loose and not tightened. She called several times and left several messages to speak with the service manager. We did not receive any return calls from the service manager and ABSOLUTELY no effort was made by the manager to reach out to us to find out what had happened. We had to travel 45 minutes out of our way to another Hyundai dealership to receive proper help and service. This is a very dangerous and potentially deadly mistake. The simple fact that there was ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT or response from the service manager regarding a serious mistake that was overlooked is unacceptable. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE. I hope that this matter gets looked into before someone gets hurt or killed for lack of quality and proper work.

I came for a recall on my 2009 Veracruz. When I made the appointment I decided to wait for my car because I was told it would take an hour. when I arrived for the service I was told that it could take as long as 4 hours. I had to call my husband to come get me. I did get a call after 3 hours that the job was done and again my husband drove me the 15 minutes to get the car. It would have been better had I known the correct time in the beginning.

I called to get a quote when I made my appointment and the young woman I spoke to was dismissive and told me she could not give me one. When I brought my car in, the woman behind the counter was much more helpful and since the service was expensive made sure I was aware of what it would cost. She apologized that I was not given a quote earlier and told me I should have been. She offered me ten percent off the service. Her positive attitude and helpfulness much made up for the negative phone call.

Every time I schedule my appointment online, it is never correct when I check in. For example, on the 29th, I scheduled a routine maintenance (112500). When they are finished and I go to pay they say they have just completed the (52500) maintenance. Maybe there are too many places to schedule appointments. I get too many emails from Hyundai. I was extremely disappointed and disgusted by the whole process. It took close to an hour to get a lease quote and when I did, it was laden with hidden costs that they tried to get over on me. I would never recommend this dealership nor would I ever do business with them again. Unprofessional and a disgrace to car salesmen everywhere. They wholeheartedly embody the stereotypical used car buying experience even with a new car and this dealership sets the car sales industry backwards.

The woman who I dealt with in the service department(sorry but I forgot her name) was friendly, professional, and funny. I worked on my laptop as I waited in their comfortable waiting room while the service took only 50 minutes. Knowing exactly how long the service was going to take is a big plus compared to the private garages where you need to leave your car all day. This is our 2nd lease from Danbury Hyundai and I would return there again in a heartbeat. The sales and the service are both excellent!

The dealership team was responsive, courteous and knowledgable. My only concern was the speed with which the deal closed. The team moved so fast, I did not have time to understand the documents I was signing or ask any questions. It was a bit stressful closing a deal of this size at high speed. I realize in the digital age things move quickly, but I had to trust that all documents were in order and did not contain any clauses I may not have cared to sign up for. It was my first time leasing and given some of the horror stories I have heard from other friends, who have leased in the past, I just hope there are no embedded surprises. I don't care for surprises.

I went up to Danbury Hyundai last Wednesday and looked at the Accents. On that day I drove one of the Accents and I liked it very much. The salesman John Sullivan was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. He answered my questitons and Steve Yancoskie said that he could do better on the price of the car for me. I explained that i wanted to go home and think about this. There was no pressure and that aided me in going home to think about tthis. I went home and my husband and I talked it over Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday morning I printed out the credit report and filled it in. We sent it to John Sullivan. That morning I also contacted the insurance agent and gave her the appropriate information. She faxed the insurance card to John Sullivan. On Saturday morning we went up to sign the paperwork and to pick up the car. Everyone there was nice and helpful. I could not believe just how fast the credit manager made all the paperwork. Steve Kaczmared was very nice and helpful. Finally all was done and John Sullivan went out with me to put a temporary license plate on my car and I drove away. This is however not the end of my relationship with John Sullivan. I will see him when he puts the real license plates on my car and I know he will be there should I experience any difficulties down the line. I know he and Danbury Hyundai will stand behind me. You see this is my third car that I purchased there!

Joe is personable, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to be sure you are happy! What more could a customer ask for? He was patient with all of my questions (I ask a lot before purchasing). He helped me decide on a lease instead of a loan and made it a deal I could not refuse. Best of all, he does it without "schmoozing" you or using sales jargon. I always recommend Joe and Danbury Hyundai when family and friends are looking for a new vehicle.

I called to make on appointment on Friday and I went into this dealership on Saturday, ready to begin the long and drawn out used car shopping experience. As a woman, I was prepared not be taken seriously or even dismissed and ignored as I had been at the terrible terrible horrible Colonial Subaru dealership right up the road.Instead, I was greeted warmly and with a smile. The salesman that I had spoke to on the phone, Harry, had the car we discussed ready for the test drive. I drove it and loved it. Harry also patiently and kindly took time to show me other cars that interested me. In the end, I went with my first choice- the Nissan Murano. Harry drew up the paper work and walked me to Carlos in financing. At the end of the day, I walked out with a car that I love at a price I can afford. Not only were they very nice at the dealership, they helped keep my 8 year old entertained with hot chocolate and smiles. Harry is the go-to guy to get a car. There wasn't a lot or room to quibble on the price, but I feel like I had a terrific experience. I shall return for service on my car as well as recommend this dealership and this salesman to others.

Very disappointed with sales ethics here. My wife and I made a firm deal for a used Sana Fe. However, when we got to the paper work after spending several hours with their salesman, we were presented with additional "standard fees" amounting to $700 which were not subject to negotiation or waiver So we had to leave disappointed without the car. The fees would have brought the price of the car well above their initial published asking price!So, the moral is buyer beware. Don't waste the better part of your day as we did. Negotiate a price with that $700 in mind because they will make that demand after you've negotiated a sales price. Better yet, find a more ethical dealer from the start.

My experience at Danbury Hyundai was the best car-buying experience I have ever had in my 42 years as a licensed driver! I have never had such an experience before where, from beginning to end, my needs were treated as a problem with a solution right around the corner rather than a problem that couldnt be solved. Having had some serious drops in my credit score during this most recent recession, I was worried if anyone could help me. My 10 year old car had just broken down on I-84 and I was really in a jam. A competing dealer down the street, whom I had done business with in the past, just looked at my situation and said Gee, we have a problem here, I dont know even though my prior history was excellent and I had a solid debt repayment history. They seemed to be negative thinkers and didnt give me much hope. However, at Danbury Hyundai, when I explained my situation, they looked at it as a solvable problem and never even used the words we arent sure we can help you. That didnt seem to even enter into the equation. During the time that I was without a vehicle, they made sure I had a loaner to get around in and were extremely kind and courteous. A few days later, Tom Smith, the phenomenal sales rep I was working with, called up and said Youre all set! Youve got the car! They made sure that based on my income and budget, I was in the right car for me. And indeed I am!! Im driving a very peppy 2013 Hyundai Accent with great handling and gas mileage and its perfect for me. This organization is first-class from top to bottom. Everyone I encountered there was helpful, upbeat and professional at all times. They seem to look at obstacles and problems as just challenges waiting to be solved. I highly recommend them!!

I first called and Spoke with Dave Petruzziello and told him what I wanted and what my trade was. He called me back with great numbers on both. So I went down there on a Monday night and Dave was not in that day (grrrrrrrr) so another saleman came over to me (Frank Zimmerman) and told me that Dave was not in that day and was there something he could help me with. So I told Frank that I was here to buy a car from someone. Frank said he would help me and he found the exact car I was looking for. I told him that I already agreed with Dave on a price over the phone which Frank honored. There was one item that was not in the car and Frank said he would throw it in for me no charge. I then dealt with Steve the fianance manager and got the ball rolling, well 2 1/2 hours later I drove home with my new car. I was very happy with the both of them as I got what I wanted and they played no games with me. The only problem I had was that I wish Dave had called me that day to tell me that he was not going to be there as I drove from West Hartford to Danbury and I was not leaving without a car! Other than that I think the dealership is excellent and would definetly recommend them to my family and friends! Thanks again Frank and Steve for making it happen!

My wife and I had a great experience buying a car at Danbury Hyundai and with our sales representative, Luis. First, I do want to mention that Luis was very professional, helpful, honest, and kind, which made the process of buying a car much easier. There were really no hidden fees and everything was pretty much straight up. Luis was respectful in allowing my wife and I time and privacy to talk and make a decision without being vicious, like some car salesman; I got a very positive vibe from their sales team and sales environment in general. The car is just what we were looking for. They inspect each vehicle before it is put out on the lot. The pre-owned car we purchased was in good shape, rode smoothly, and is fuel efficient. They buffed the scratches on the sides of the car for my wife and I (which came out well once they finished). These people are willing to work with you, your budget, and your time. I plan on returning sometime in the future for our next purchase and highly recommend this dealership for anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. -Jason

I have to say I was very disappointed with the way the purchase of my new vehicle was handled by the sales manager, after a very positive experience with the salesperson. A price was clearly posted on the windshield of the vehicle, describing it as a "Managers Special". My wife took a test drive, loved the vehicle, and I decided to buy the car. When I was ready to accept the price of the "Managers Special", I was told that wasn't an "actual" price. It included various discounts for prior Hyundai owners, military members, etc... The sales manager then worked up a price literally on the back of an envelope, adding figures by hand coming to an overall vehicle price. My wife was anxious to have the car for the next day, so I said fine with the price after some minimal haggling. I admit it was naive of me to accept the price without looking at the detailed components, but after the fine experience with the salesman I figured the sales manager was cut from the same cloth. After I agreed to the price, I rushed to the bank to get a certified check and when I handed it to the dealership, I was told that I needed to come back again the next day because the finance manager had left for the day. When I went back the next day, I got the details on how the overall price was determined, not handwritten on the back of an envelope, but the way I should have gotten the details the prior day when I was negotiating the price. It came out to over $1500 of fees that had no place being added to a figure called a "Managers Special". At that point I protested, but the car was already with me, my certified check from the previous day deposited, and I just chalked it up to being naively trusting of a car dealer. I bought an Audi last year through an Audi dealer and they were up front from start to finish. Hyundai has some great products, they just need the right people selling them. In the coming days I plan to detail this disappointing experience with Hyundai of America, as well as on other consumer web sites. When I mentioned to Hyundai of Danbury that I planned to post these details of my purchase on various consumer forums, they reached out to me to discuss my sales experience. Other than noting that they may consider changing the description of a "Manager's Special", none of the other points I brought up seemed to concern them much.

MY husband brought my 2010 Santa Fe in for service 2 weeks ago. He was very happy. The waiting room was clean, employees were friendly. He said that he got there a few mins early, they took the truck in early & got him on his way as quick as possible. We are both extremely happy with the service department.

This dealer offered us 30% less on our trade in than other dealers in the area and when we stated the numbers were off, they laughed and acted like we were naive. Then, when we said we would leave, they gave us hypothetical numbers for the trade in, but said they wouldn't budge a cent on the vehicle price because we can't "burn the candle at both ends". Very unpleasant experience and I would suggest any consumer to look elsewhere first to make sure you aren't getting hosed on your trade-in value.

This was one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I think I've ever had. I visited many dealers but, sadly, manual transmissions are getting harder and harder to find. I test drove several different brands of cars, and was adamant about not even thinking of purchasing a Hyundai. After repeated requests by one of my friends to at least take a Hyundai for a test drive, I finally gave in. Upon arrival, the first question I asked was "so do you have any sticks on the lot?" I was expecting the usual, "no, sorry", but instead was shown a few available. I immediately fell in love with the Veloster as soon as I sat in it. When I took it for a test drive, I just knew this car would be mine. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. It made the purchasing process simple and painless. I will definitely be recommending people to buy a car from this dealership in the future.

I did extensive research and shopping prior to selecting on Danbury Hyundai. A key factor was Tom Smiths demeanor during our phone communications. I prefer a straight forward approach and thats what I received. Price-wise I had 3 dealers all within couple hundred dollars of one another (Danbury the lowest). From the time I arrived at Danbury Hyundai I was treated well. The finance individual was also very pleasant to work with. All-in-all my experience at Danbury Hyundai was enjoyable and without any of the wrangling that Ive experienced at other dealerships. Tom Smith was pleasant, professional, and straight-forward. You cant ask for more than that from a salesmen. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DANBURY HYUNDAI!

After a terrible experience at another Hyundai dealership, I called Danbury. After I told Jim what happened, I laid out all my cards. I know you're not supposed to do that, all the car-buying negotiation tip articles tell you not to. But I did. And I got the same in return. Jim was honest, accomodating and I fully believe that they did the best they could on prices for my trade-in and the car. Jim was super nice and respectful and it was just all around a wonderful experience. The finance guy was a pleasure to deal with, they got us an even lower rate than my bank or the quoted rate, so that was a nice surprise. The dealership offers really great perks if you do all your service work there. Even though I live up by Naugatuck, I'll happily take my car to Danbury. I highly recommend Danbury, and I also highly recommend Mr. Jackson.

I went to Danbury Hyundai to look at the Sonata. Initially, they only had one on the lot and it was not what I wanted. The guys at Danbury finally gave me the price I was looking for and swapped in a car for me that was the color I wanted. Unfortunately, the deal fell through because of a sales promotion that stated they would be willing to terminate my current lease to get me into a lease with them. They chose not to honor the promotion and I had to walk away from the deal. They could have been very difficult and tried to force the car on me now that they swapped it out, but instead handled it professionaly and let me walk away without giving me much grief since it was really their promotion that had gotten them into this fix. However, even after all that, Dave was a good guy and really tried to give me everything I wanted and was always professional. More than anything, they stayed true to their mission statement that it is a no pressure atmosphere and aside from the false advertising, the actual personal interaction was positive.

Everyone I spoke with regarding the purchase of the new Hyundai Accent was very helpful and personable. I have been dealing with Danbury Hyundai for many years and this was by far the best experience I have had to date. Part of our overall purchase was a prepaid card with enough value to fill up our gas tank. None were in stock when we picked up the car, but one was promised when the first service was done. None were available then either, Jeff promised to send one "immediately" but after 3 1/2 weeks and several more calls to him and his manager Dave Osborne still nothing. Trivial I know but it's about integrity and fulfilling promises in an industry that has trouble with both.

We had just started looking for a new car, and came into Danbury Hyundai. Tom greeted us, asked us about our needs and what we were looking for in a new car. He told us about all the options and standard equipment in the Hyundai Sonata. He was very courteous, gave us a brochure on the vehicle, and said if we had any questions to call him anytime. We compared the Sonata to other vehicles in its class, and decided to test drive the Sonata. After the test drive, Tom sat with us and ran some numbers for us. My wife and I went to lunch, talked about everything Tom had told us about the car, and decided right then and there that the Sonata was the car for us. Tom made the whole buying experience very enjoyable. He answered all our questions and any concerns we had. We would definitely recommend Tom and the Danbury Hyundai team to anyone who wants to purchase a new car.

A freak winter snowstorm in October, the loss of a vehicle because of it and the search for my new car.The Hyundai Veloster had caught my eye last year at Javits Center Auto Show, the sleek lines, technology, excellent MPG & best warranty of all manufacturers were all key factors in the purchase. While I had planned on buying in spring, mother nature sped up the process when she laid my troublesome 03 Mini Cooper to rest with a tree on top of it. A search on Hyundai website for area dealers, finding the base line Veloster in Marathon Blue with 6 speed manual transmission and no frills led me to Danbury Hyundai. This car is equipped with everything needed in base form.My salesman Jim Jackson was great. A true gentleman and easy going attitude. A short test drive with some overnight thought and the purchase was made on 11/8.A little disappointed that the optional mud guards purchased are still not available for the car, so I wait.Only down side I had to purchase was the fees you don't find out about until you go to do the paperwork ie: $39 Lemon Law/Gasoline fee (what ever happened to a full tank of fuel upon purchase) & $199 "optional" anti-theft window etching fee. The fact they have windows etched as soon as the cars hit the lot takes away the "option" of choice for this service to customer. My credit union offers this service for free. A phone call the following day to protest this charge to Sales Manager Dondi Wright, and the fee was waived.A glitch in bluetooth system has had me back to dealers a couple times so far for warranty repair & waiting for parts to get fixed.Overall I would recommend Danbury Hyundai and Jim Jackson as your salesman should you plan on buying a Hyundai.

We have just purchased two vehicles at this dealership (originally planned on buying only one). The negotiations were low pressure, the deals were excellent, plus they gave us very good prices for our two trade-ins. Being very demanding customers, we were pleasantly surprised how everyone went the extra mile to accomodate us--plus they followed through on everything they promised.We love our two new Hyundais and intend on being loyal customers. The build quality,the interior, and the quiet ride are all better than the Japanese cars we traded in. Danbury Hyundai has earned our business for life and we will most certainly recommend them to friends and family.

We went to see Dave after a recommendation from my son who had recently purchased a car from him. He was very knowledgeable about the cars I was interested in and answered all my questions. We went back to see him several times and he was always pleasant and eager to help us with our decision. All through the process Dave kept us informed on what was going on until we were actually able to pick up the car. Steve in the finance department was very helpful with the paperwork. Dave explained all of the cars features to me and encouraged me to call him at any time if I had any questions or didn't understand something. Searching for a new car wasn't easy but once I came to Danbury Hyundai I knew my searching was over. David was very helpful communicating with me prior to arriving at the dealership. Once I came in, Paul was great and made me feel very comfortable given the fact that it was my first time buying a new car. The car I was looking for wasn't in stock at the time I came in but Paul made sure I got exactly what I wanted and once it arrived at the dealership I couldn't have been happier. Steve was also very helpful with filling out paperwork, etc and made sure I had an understanding of everything I signed. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to have my mom buy a Hyundai (she loves my Accent!)

I thought personally it would be more appropriate to have most of paperwork filled prior to me getting there so I didn't have to wait. That was the only complaint though. So often car dealers are scorned for being too pushy, or not being totally truthful. Well, the folks at Danbury Hyundai dispelled that image immediately! Frank Zimmerman greeted us warmly, we discussed what I wanted, he listened carefully and went to work. You had no standard transmission Accents in stock so he immediatly found out when the next arrivals would take place. In the meantime we took a drive in an automatic, just to see what it was like. I was fixed in my mind though, that I wanted standard, and wanted it in green! So we decided to wait. The green standard came in, we drove it and while I liked the standard, I decided that at my age, the green was too intense. I felt badly that I perhaps had wasted Frank's time but no...he was adamaent that that is his job. The bronze automatic that I had driven previously was still in my mind (love the color!). I mentioned to Frank that I wanted a car that I could maneuver in snow, that I felt that I have control over when needed. I had not explained this to him before. At that point, he told us about the option to either drive in 'vanilla' (that is my word) automatic, or to be able to shift myself. We went out again in the bronze car, he showed me exactly how it works and then had me drive it. I was sold!!!!Then while signing the papers, the Veloster came into view. George fell in love with it....but we again waffled around standard or automatic. Frank drove down to Stamford, got a standard...and we changed out mind, once again. We were already sold on the automatic...and again Frank was patient and understanding.Finally, the storm descended. We drove our Scion XB during the storm, I signed the papers with Steve (in the semi-darkness!), a dealer plate was installed and we drove home with our second car that same weekend! And it was the best 'test drive' of how the transmission works in truly terrible weather! One main reason that I was interested in Hyundai, in addition to the comparisons that I did to other cars in the same price range, and the fantastic warranty, is that my daughter bought a Tuscon 7 years ago. She loves her car, and loves Hyundai. I'm planning on driving our new cars for a long time, but when that time comes around to look again, you'll see us again!

I went to Danbury Hyundai to buy my very first new car, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Steve ran through all of the paperwork with me very slowly to ensure I understood what it was saying. Being that this was my first car purchase, it helped me to clearly understand all of my options and what all of the numbers worked out to be and why. Jeff was extremely helpful in helping me to understand all of the amazing features my car had to offer. He sat with me and explained how everything worked until I clearly understood it. He even helped me to link my Iphone to my car and demonstrated how I could use my hands-free calling system. The employees that I worked with were patient and extremely friendly, helping to make my car-buying experience more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family in the future. I couldn't be happier with my 2012 Hyundai Elantra!

Went in to look at the new Sonata, dealership was busy. Tony Petruzziello, who works at the sister dealership (Kia) was over there,saw us and went through the specifications; took us for a test-drive and went through pricing. After 30 minutes we were impressed with the car and the team selling it. Needless to say, 3 days later we are driving a beautiful 2012 black Sonata SE. The staff is kind and knowledgable, and generally speaking our buying experience and pricing was very good. Everything a new buyer is looking for, with a few exceptions after the sale was completed and my deposit was in hand; 1). Receiving our car of choice in a reasonable timeframe. Fact: - Was still waiting after nearly 8+ weeks, finally cancelled the deal2). Receiving timely and accurate communications and updates regarding the delay.Fact: - Only when I made the effort to call or email to request updates3). Fact or Fiction? You decide! Here is what I was told..having paid my deposit in AugustFiction:- Should have your car within 2 weeks (spoken at the initial meeting) Fact: NOTFiction:- We have 65 cars arriving over the next week, yours is one of them Fact: NOTFiction:- Your car will be here on 10/13 +/- 2 days Fact: NOTFact: - Did I say 10/13, you misunderstood.Fiction: I said 10/15 +/- 2 days Fact: I was told 10/13. Fact:- Your car is in, but it is not here..it is in Massachusetts(somewhere?) Fiction: First time this has ever happend Fact:(Why me)?Fact: No, Danbury Hyundai we will not flat bed your car down, it will be driven/transported by a paid professional as we have to swap cars.Lets see,..Um, a paid professional driver who may not care about my new cars (break in period) while he/she is speeding down the interstate at 65 - 80 mph, likey smoking their cigarette in my non-smoking car, arriving to the dealership with 100+ miles having driven from Massachusetts. Fact: I don't think so Fact: 'Saleman says; no the big deal the warranty starts when you pick it up. Sorry Danbury Hyundai...Time to cancel this deal...Give me my deposit back!Fact: - 4 days later, and I finally get a call stating I have to come to the dealership to get it, and by the way, (I swear)..the Coup de Grace of excuses as told to me by my salesman, the reason my car is delayed is that Hyundai had a recall on (my) model vehicle and performed the upgrade at the port of entry so it delayed its deliveryAre you kidding me I ask? -No kidding, really Question: What about the one in Massachusetts? Fact: Doesnt really matter, I want my refundSo, I get my refund, go home and search the Internet for the recall..I'm thinking, maybe I shouldn't have cancelled the deal? Fact: NOT, Why not you ask? Fact: No luck finding anything about any recall on my model vehicle.Fact: Appears to be just another bullat#$ story, and even if true, I had enough of the drama and I am glad I walked away..If only Sam DeFeo could read this.!!! Received the 2012 elantra gls in our first choice of color (simmering white pearl)& 10 days earlier then expected.Roland is GREAT answered all our questions & sometimes twice.Dondi the general sale mananger made sure the deal was right.Now as for Steve Kackmarek director of finance he stated he could beat my credit union interest rate well he did,from 3.1% on 66 mo. auto payroll bimonthly payment & i had to do the foot work between bank & dealer, to 2.75% one monthly with a 45 day grace payment all at the dealer.GREAT SALE WELL DONE. I am somewhat of a quick decision maker--once I know what I want, I want it right away. I searched all of the Hyundai dealers in CT and could not find a dealership with a wider selection of cars than Danbury Hyundai. As soon as I got on the lot, there were plenty of people available to help me. I wasn't ready for help right away, but it was good to know I wouldn't have to go searching for someone. Following up on an internet search, I was pretty sure I knew which car I wanted. I looked around the lot (or what I THOUGHT was the whole lot) and didn't see what I had seen online. It was no big deal because there were still several choices. When I went inside I saw a car I kind of liked, but it wasn't the exact color. That's when Tom Smith asked if I needed any help, and I asked him if he had any other colors available for the car. He took me to the lot behind the building which had a VERY wide selection of many different colors and models. I was immediately drawn to one car because the color was exactly what I wanted. To top it off, it turned out that the car had every feature possible AND the price was excellent. I couldn't believe how much car I would be getting for the money. Tom was great because he put absolutely no pressure on me to move forward at any point--I always felt like the decision-making was completely driven by me. I test drove the car minutes after seeing it, during which Tom talked a bit of financing with me and told me about some of the car's features. A lot of times you get sales people who will give you vague statements about how wonderful a car is, but I could tell Tom was genuine because he got right into the specific details of the major benefits the car had to offer. Did I mention that when I want something, I want it fast? I couldn't be more pleased with the speed in which this transaction was handled. I put my down payment on the car after the test drive and was able to pick it up the next day! All of the financing, registration, etc. was handled smoothly by Tom and the others at Danbury Hyundai with minimal effort from me. I've had car buying experiences where the dealer sends you home with a stack of paperwork and has you jumping through hoops to get things done and was relieved to see that there was none of that here. I arrived the next day to pick up the car. I was half an hour late because of severe traffic but no one seemed to mind and I was greeted promptly when I arrived. I signed all the necessary paperwork and them Tom went through all of the manuals with me as well as the warranties and services. Then we went out to the car and he walked me through how to use everything and even helped me sync my phone to the car's bluetooth system before I left. Thanks to the extra time he took, I felt like I knew what I was doing with pretty much every feature of the car as soon as I hit the road. This is my first Hyundai vehicle, but I'm very impressed by how much the company seems to have invested in the quality of their recent car models. If this car holds up like I think it will, I will definitely be back to this dealership to purchase another car. Thanks!

Jeff, my salesperson, was extremely knowledgable and friendly in a believable way. He knew his product, had a sincere friendly personality, really listened to my questions, and continually offerred assistance by phone if I need it. I honestly feel that if I call Jeff with a question, he will be there or will call me back asap nd not give me the run-around, as what happends in many sales of all sorts. He also offerred a personal story about his own family Hyundai. Jeff also has incredible energy and I believe he works hard. While visiting many car dealers in the area, I met a lot of car salespeople. I feel an enthusiastic attitude is an important attribute in the car business. I phoned Danbury Auto Group -- hereafter referred to as DAG -- after an infuriating experience at Milford Hyundai, nearer to my Trumbull home. You don't wanna know how poorly on so many levels in which that dealership is operated. I was therefore primed for a fight, but first, Dave Martinich, then Tom Smith, then finally and most surprisingly, Steve Kaczmarek provided me with the best dealer experience I could have ever hoped for.Dave made the initial arrangements, Tom provided me all the car and pricing specifics, and Steve truly 'wowed' me -- not only with his zany friendliness, but especially in that he went out of his way to first explain ANYTHING that appeared to be stressing me out -- in terms that I could grasp -- then by accommodating my particular finance and customer service / warranty needs.My first-hand experience with automobile dealership Finance Managers -- in having briefly worked for Harte Infiniti a few years back -- is such that I expected to get really hosed over. Instead, Steve pure and simply floored me. 'Quite a guy.In hindsight, I kick myself for not having made mention that I am a Costco member; it may have resulted in a little better final selling price. But I must admit that the treatment afforded me had me in somewhat a state of euphoria that inclined me to move along quickly. I should point out that Steve DID find me an even better finance deal than the very good deal to which Tom had initially committed. In the end, there's ALWAYS a little better deal out there somewhere; my positive experience with DAG offsets the little-bit higher price. Hey, I made it out the door after tax, title and registration at about 19G. Needless to elaborate that I drove home pleased and stress-free.I would be happy to take calls from prospective customers of DAG to detail to them my experience and hearty endorsement of DAG.

I originally came to Danbury Hyundai to get a used car, but ended up walking away with one of the best experiences and a brand new vehicle. Jeff was amazing running around in a monsoon finding me all the cars I came to see and not complaining once. I came to Hyundai with what I thought was an approval on a "Bad Credit Loan," but it ended up falling through. Steve took over and spent hours crunching numbers and working his magic. First - NO HIGH PRESSURE!!! We met with Joe who took all the time we needed, answered our questions, let my wife and I test drive with no time pressure - we both wanted to experience local and highway driving in 2 models and he let us go until we were satisfied. Then when we returned, he discussed the options, coices and the price differences. There was no 'how can I get you into this car?" or "what if I..." He thanked us, took notes for himself and we were on our way. A few days later we decided to buy, called him, and he helped even on his day off and when calling one day where he was off at 5PM he was still there with a customer at 6:30. Real dedication.Dondi, the manager who approves deals was fair, had an honest back and fourth and we reached an agreement which I clearly understood the ins and outs of the invoice and the deal.Great Job Danbury Hyundai!

I went into Danbury Hyundai to get a good look at the Sonata. Still not sure what I wanted for a vehicle. I was greeted promptly by Scott. After a brief chat with him he suggested the Elantra. He said that from what I was looking to get and the budget I had in place that the Elantra was a much better fit. He couldn't have been more on target. Scott took care of the paperwork for my sale very quickly,gave me a fair value for my trade, helped me get my insurance faxed over and I was signing contracts within an hour. Steve(I think that's his name) the finance guy, was very helpful, and knowledgeable. I've had very bad experiences with the finance department when I bought my last car. Not the case here. Once finished with finance I was escorted to my new car by scot, where he paired my phone to the bluetooth in my Elantra and went through all the features. Not only was the purchase experience great, but Scott has not forgotten me. He's called me to follow up and ensure my satisfaction 3 or 4 times since I took the car home. I would recommend Danbury Hyundai to family, friends and any other person that is in the market for a car.

I made an appointment 1 week in advance to have brakes and a transmission leak checked. Left the car the day before. Received a call that evening reminding me to bring the car in. Told them I already did. Called at 11 AM on the day the work was to be performed and was told they had not looked at it yet. They would call after lunch. The reason was that they were doing the cars that people were waiting for.No call after lunch so I called at 3PM and was told that they over booked and they havent looked at my car. And why did I make an appointment...Picked the car with no work being done up and will never go back to that dealership. I have purchased 3 Hyundai over the past 8 years and never again.

Jeff introduced me to all the people who worked there that I would deal with to bring my car in for service or if I needed parts or Even there bodyshop(hope I never need) the car was ready when I came to pick it up on time it was full of gas paperwork was quick no pressure from Steve the finance guy to buy extras PLUS Jeff got me the car I wanted in the color and options they had to swap it in which was fine it did not cost any extra Jeff took the time to find the car I WANTED! I went to this dealership as my first stop to get a genesis coup. The guy I spoke to was very nice and I'm really sorry I'll get back to this with his name,But He let me test drive it and talked about payments and such, there current special offer for trade ins 2500 for my car, but it only applied with cars on their lot. Every thing was perfect but I wanted the 6 speed transmission so I left and on with my search. I later found a deal at a dealer in Brooklyn, biggest mistake ever. The people sucked service sucked and cars sucked, made me really appreciate the dealer in Danbury. Great dealership, highly recommend. I'm going back there to look around memorial day sales.

I was in the market of getting a new Elantra and came in to talk about financing and get a better idea with numbers. I slowly figured out that their internet inventory was not correct. I only had a limited amount of time to talk to someone but instead I was brought all over their parking lot to find the car I wanted wasn't at the same prices. He didn't really want to talk numbers because "I was a first time buyer" and you have to crawl before you walk theory. What a bunch of crap. Their vehicles are overpriced and not willing to negotiate anything because I was a first time buyer. What a horrible experience. Which I should have known because of all the bad reviews I read prior to coming in. I went to Hyundai of White Plains where I was treated very well and made my purchase. I got the car I wanted for a good price and I got the financing that I wanted even though Tom at Danbury said I would not get. These people do not know what they are talking about. If you want to buy a Hyundai do not, I repeat DO NOT go here to make that purchase. The drive to another dealership is worth it.

I was in the market for a new vehicle and visited at least a dozen different dealerships as I narrowed down my search. I identified the new Sonata as my car of choice and figured I'd purchase it from Danbury Hyundai since I lived near by. The sales rep was fine but once I started to negotiate the sales manager came into play and the real truth came out. First, while the rep was getting me a car to test drive the manager started yelling at him for some reason or another. This was done in front of several customers. He then cursed several times and bad mouth my sales rep and another while they were in the back getting cars. I work in a company that prides itself on excellent customer service so I know what it is when I see it. I also now know how bad it could be when they just dont car about you and just want to make a deal as quickly as possible.I drove my car and wanted to get a price for the same car but different options. They wouldnt give me a price on that car since I didnt drive it. So, then they went in the back and got another car for me to drive. I was now 2 plus hours into the process and very annoyed. AS I mentioned, I had been to several dealers already and at this point i knew what I wanted but because I didnt drive the exact color/option package, they wouldnt give me a price. Basically they were trying to make me spend my money on a car I didnt want. Overall my experience was VERY poor and they were unwilling to work with me. They were just trying to make me a "spot" deal. Long story short, I went to another dealership 30 minutes away in NY, got the exact car I wanted, was treated very well, had a pleasant negotiation, bad a very fair price, and now I am very happy.PLEASE TRUST ME ON THIS _ NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP. THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY UPSETTING. The cars have come a long way but this dealership as a long road to catch up with the quality of their cars.

We searched extensively for deals on a Hyundai Elantra Touring, and got some great offers from as far away as New York and New Jersey, but decided to drop by our local Danbury Connecticut Hyundai to do one more test drive. We'd already seen the negative reviews on this site about Danbury Hyundai, so weren't really expecting to buy here. Miguel, a brand new member of the service team, worked with us to find a car with just the right options and price. He was even able to get us a trade-in price on our old car that was higher than what we'd been quoted elsewhere. We were also able to apply a "new college graduate" rebate on top of a dealer incentive because my wife had finished her degree over a year ago. Miguel made sure we got all the discounts we could. By the time we got to Steve, the finance guy, we had a clear idea of what it would all cost. There were no surprises when we went through financing (except for that cursed VIN etching that everyone slaps on). We have purchased several cars in the past, and have never gone through the process so smoothly and so successfully (price-wise). Gold star goes to Miguel, and we hope he has a successful career in sales.

I live in Charlotte, NC and has agreed on price to buy a 2008 Toyota Prius. After they took a deposit on the phone, they called me and said the General manager decided not to sell this car to me because I live out of state. It will cost them an additional $200 to use outside source to register the car in NC for me. I told them I will pay for the extra $200. They said it is not the $200....it is the work involved to do this deal out of state. Imagine that....they have to do a little more papers. They told me that there got to be another Prius between here and there. I asked Frank the Used car manager why do they try so hard NOT to sell me this car??? He said, they don't like to do complicated deal...just clean deal. It is not worth their time to do all this work as they don't make that much money on the deal. I started this deal by seeing the ad in Autotrader. I called several times to get a salesman and not getting any follow up calls from them. I called over 7 times in the course of 2 days to buy this car. They must sell so many cars that they don't need my business. I told them so. It is mind-boggling that as a customer, I pursue them this much just to buy a car...it should be the other way around. What a bunch of losers!

my Hyundai sonata had 98,230 miles on it when i brought it in for the fifth time in one year for the same problem transmission not shifting. My warranty expires at 100000 or ten years. will the fifth time I brought it in the transmission was doing the same thing slipping and they told me i needed to change a sensor again and it would cost me another 189.00, my argument to them was this obviously is not the problem because it keeps happening. Will they said they needed all the service records that the transmission was serviced every thirty thousand miles, I provided their work orders that the transmission services were done three times by them once at 30756 miles second was done at 58,698 miles and third was 87123 miles, then the dealership denied the claim because one I was over according to them by 756 miles on my first transmission oil change and two they had no record of any engine oil changes. Will I then supplied them with 10 of their own records showing they did that work every three thousand dollars the rest i provided them showing the oil changes were done at the required time at express lube. when I picked up the car one month later they told me they will not replace the transmission because they did not do the oil changes. I changed my transmision at local transmission shop Jerry's Transmission in Danbury ct Great place to got to. But I will never buy a HYUNDAI again 100,000 mile warranty yea right...
