I took my Ford Explorer to Lanham Ford service department for repairs and when I picked it up nothing had changed. By the time I got my car home 5 miles away, the exact same problem that I reported to the service department was happening again. I couldnt use my car. I took the car back to them and they acknowledged that for the 1300+ bill they didnt fix the problem. I had to rent a car for a week and picked up the car again. I noticed a loose large screw and nut between the wind shield and hood. The next day on my way to work the car again had the same problem and stopped in the middle of the road. So dangerous. Lanham Ford wont take responsibility. Rented a car for 2 weeks. Found a new mechanic who diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The new mechanic said the problem was easy to identify a d not as costly as all of the charges I was billed by Lanham Ford. Lanham Ford won't refund my money. The service manager was no help and the general manager ignores my calls. It is the worst Ford service department I have used in 10 years owning my Ford. I am filing a law suit against them for my costs and damages.

My experience as a "whole."The first time I called and told Jennifer I have a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid with a bad Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) and she quoted me $2200. I called back an hour later to confirm a 2nd time before bringing the vehicle in and Mike (service dept. manager) advised that it would be between $2200-$2900 (he later advised he was using Jennifer's quote). I took my vehicle there on October 5th and was advised it would cost $2750 by Joyce (after they looked at the vehicle), I advised to go ahead and fix the vehicle. October 14th, Friday afternoon before I was suppose to pick up on Monday, I received a call saying oops "sorry we got the wrong part, we got the part for a Ford Escape non-hybrid." Now they advised it would cost $6200. I ask to speak to Joyce's supervisor and after a great deal of struggle to get there, Mike called me back. Mike acknowledged that a mistake, or 2, or 3, was made and stated that he could not honor the original price given "as he could not stay in business that way." However, he offered a 10% discount to bring the total to around $5200. I asked if he could bring the vehicle to my house, as I did not want to pay a company like this, and he drove it to my house for me.That Sunday, October 16th, Andrew the GM at Darcars Ford called me. Andrew was by far the most professional individual that I had spoken with at Darcars. Andrew apologized and advised that he had been there for many years and that he wanted to work with me to fix the issue with the vehicle. Andrew got everybody working together at Ford and at Darcars and came up with a solution to the issue. Additionally, Andrew got me in a rental, as one of the most frustrating aspects was not having a vehicle for so long to get my daughter to daycare and to get to work. In the end, with Andrew's assistance, they were able to purchase a used HCU and get the total down to $3,250. Additionally, they worked with me to set up a Ford Credit Card to pay for the service. I believe the $3250, was not representative of someone coming in to the dealership to get the part fixed, rather was solely based on the fact that I had received so many quotes and prices before getting it fixed.In the end, I would have to consider more in-depth weather I would return. If I was working with Andrew, no doubt; however, I didn't have a great or even good experience with many of the Service Dept. representatives, including the management team.

Mr. Thomas and Mr. Sean were absolutely amazing. They were respectful, honest, PATIENT (with us and our questions), and courteous. They were aware of our needs and attempted to take care of those needs and succeeded beautifully. I would most definitely recommend THIS location (for DARCARS)... I am so glad that Mr. Thomas was working late that night on building potential customers (thanks facebook messenger )because we wouldn't have had the courage to try to talk to a real dealership on our own. Their customer service was so great that I'm not bothered by the fact that the car is red.. Hahaa I hate red, BLUE is my favorite color.. But you guys were great I both commend and appreciate your hard and diligent work!!!!!

We have all heard horror stories about car buying but that was definitely NOT my experience at Darcars Ford. My salesman, Mr. Thomas Whitehead, was very patient answering each and every question I had. While I thought I did my homework, he enlightened me on some additional perks that totally sold me on my vehicle of choice and as a 1st time buyer you couldn't ask for more. I had great customer service and at no time did I feel pressured.

I have given this rating based on comparison. Went to a Nissan dealership and experienced a disadvantage of what professionalism details. Too many credit reading at one time, dishonestly about cost. I knew I should have went to the Kia dealership first because the Kia Sorento was what I wanted. One coming to the Kia dealership, we met Thomas. He was not overbearing, but honest and patient. My son and I test drove the sportage first and was pleasantly surprised about the room. Thomas knew my heart wanted the Sorento. So he showed be a basic Sorento and said "this was the only one, because most of his clients want more "bells and whistles" on their vehicle. We were still in the sportage and I said I don't feel complete about this car. Thomas said because you came for the Sorento, so drive it! I did and went home within 90 minutes later with the Sorento!!. I even left my house keys on the ring and he drove back at 11pm to give them to me. This is my 5th car and the first time I've bought a car from a different dealership. The first four was at the same dealership. That speaks volume!!

I purchased a vehicle from Darcar Ford in January 2015. A 2014 Ford Edge and I really liked my vehicle. I had been considering trading the Edge in for a newer model but I was very reluctant to do so. On July 19th, I decided to just drive to the dealership and see what my options were. Kwami met me at the door and took car of all of questions and concerns immediately. He asked me what I was looking for and even took me to look at the cars I had requested. Kwami suggested a 2016 Ford Explorer after helping me look at the suggestion I had chosen. I am so THANKFUL that he made this suggestion because I absolutely LOVE my 2016 Ruby Red Explorer. His patience and attention to detail was exactly what I needed. I requested to have my financing done by Mr. Chico and he immediately called him to make sure that I would be comfortable with my purchase. Mr. Chico assisted me with my previous purchase and he was as amazing on July 16th and he was in January 2015.

Went in for oil change at 930...at 1230 they couldnt locate my truck...i found it myself in back of the building ...never been serviced..sitting there a whole 3 hours just like me waited in the room to get serviced so i took my truck without oil change...oil change that jiffy lube finished in 15 mins.... Good job !!!DARCARS!!!!

I've been buying vehicles for 40 years and purchasing my F350 from DARCARS Ford in Lanham has to be the best and most pleasant experience I've had. My sales rep, Russell Dodd, was very attentative to my needs and not pushy. I knew what I wanted when I walked in, Russell showed me the perfect truck and within an hour we shook hands on the deal.I was also impressed with the Sales Manager, Mr. Nicorescu, who helped close the deal.I've been telling all my friends and co-workers of my experience and highly recommend DARCARS Ford to anyone I know.

So I had the pleasure of working with Russell and Marcus. Let me tell you that this was a very long process lol. But, they were super nice, professional, and beyond helpful when it came to this process. The first time that I drove the Kia Soul, I knew automatically that I wanted that car. I was only shopping for a car because I was offered a new job and it is impossible to get around without a car. when I tell you that my car is PERFECT, it is perfect. They helped me get a great deal as a recent college graduate. Whenever I had a question I simply texted Russell who responded as soon as possible. He was just there as guidance every step of the way. Russell also put me in touch with Felix at Statefarm and I was able to get car insurance for under $200. I really don't spend much money on gas. I drove from MD to Chicago and I only had to refill my tank twice! I spend $19 on gas a week and my car drives smooth. I would highly recommend people going to DARCARS and dealing with Russell! Thanks Russell and Marcus.

He had superior knowledge concerning all aspects of the automobile we were purchasing, his mannerism and salesmanship in explaining the features of the automobile was clear, concise and assuring that the automobile we were purchasing would clearly serve our transportation needs. It was an enjoyable experience to purchase a vehicle from Mr. Jefferson because it was like purchasing a car from a person that you knew was providing you with the best deal possible in purchasing our vehicle. One of the things that impressed us most that he DID NOT show the hard sale tactics of the typical old-time hard-sell of an automobile salesman. It was the knowledge of the car that he imparted to us that assured us that this particular car would totally satisfy our transportation needs and we would feel like we were riding in a Rolls-Royce. Today 6/6/16: My husband took our brand new Ford F-150 in for service after finding the roof leaking. He made an appointment and put all the information into the description and showed up on time. He pulled into the garage and sat in his truck waiting for one of the 3 service members watching to approach for 15 minutes. The service manager walked by a few times and just looked at him. Then he decided to go inside and see what was going on. The manager told someone to help him and the lady came out to his truck finally and asked why he was here. ?!? He went through the whole thing with her again and was told they would look into it an give him a call when they found out what was wrong. They didn't have the information from the appointment he made so he told them again what the problem was and they told him they'd call him to come get his vehicle. They didn't exactly fill him with confidence they knew what they were doing. Then they took him on their shuttle to get a courtesy car, to Enterprise so he could rent a car!!! ......We just had an update from the service Dept. They've had the car since 9am and it's 5pm now. They say since it's going to rain tonight they'll keep it and test it out. Have they heard of a water hose? What have they been doing all day? Hopefully it rains and they'll be able to test. Why would you say that? It doesn't inspire confidence in me. If it's not fixed (we've only had the car 5 days) I think our insurance company will need to get involved... USAA won't be happy with them. How difficult is it to be competitive (Lyndsey Ford's Service Dept. is so much better than these people have ever dreamed of being) at customer service in the Service Dept.? Our customer experience buying this $58,000 truck was fabulous and when they said the service was tied to Darcars Service Dept we didn't think it would be a problem. Hopefully we don't have to see them often. I'm extremely disappointed with the Darcars Ford Service Dept and it makes me re-think buying anything from them, if we have to use their Service Dept. It's such a shame to see one side of the house let the other side down so completely. Apparently according to some of the other employees this behavior is not unusual for the Service Dept.

My experience with Kia of Lanham was fantastic. I visited Kia of Lanham in an effort to test drive a Kia Optima. Upon my arrival at the dealer I was greeted by several staff before entering Mr. Kwami's office. Mr. Kwami was attentive to my needs and appeared confident that he could assist me with securing the vehicle that I wanted. Mr. Kwami was patient with me throughout this process as I visited the office on more than one occasion before making a final decision to purchase a vehicle at this location. Mr. Kwami as well as other staff at Kia of Lanham, Mr. Constantine and Mr. "Chico" made my and experience a joyful one along with my three children. Mr. Kwami was not preoccupied with making a sell as he appears genuinely concerned about customers and their needs. Mr. Kwami maintained contact with me after purchasing the vehicle as to ensure that I was satisfied. I truly appreciate my experience at Kia of Lanham and would definitely recommend others to visit this location when they are considering purchasing a vehicle. I actually live in close proximity to another Kia Dealer, however I opted to purchase a vehicle from the Kia of Lanham as I was pleased with the overall customer service I received throughout this process. I plan to visit this location for routine maintenance in order to visit with the aforementioned staff who provided AWESOME service.

My salesman, Thomas and the Sales Manager were very accommodating to my needs, payment and vehicle specifications. They found a vehicle and had it delivered the next day, I could not be happier with my "new baby". I hope Ford will start advertising the C-Max as this is an outstanding vehicle, looks are deceiving from the inside it is roomy, handles great and we love it. My Husband is 6,2" all legs and he is comfortable in the C-Max. I'm planning a "girls weekend/road trip" in my C-Max, which I could not do my small Volvo S-40.I would recommend Thomas and this dealership!!!

I'm all about service and from the time I sat down with Virginia it started. When I first arrived at the dealership I was a little nervous because of the wait. Then after going to the main desk requesting assistance was a bad start. I ask for help and was referred to someone else when the sales manger was just talking. Therefore that's when I had the opportunity to work with Virginia. Virginia, she wasn't just the nicest person I met during that time but a person with passion l, very detailed and Knownledgable. She gathered my information and LISTEN to the reason I came in. She understood my needs and wants but all of my explanations. As we spent time looking at three different trucks she shown patients and never had the attitude of not making it happen. At the end of the day I walked out with a new Kia truck and was completely satisfied. I informed her I been there for serval hours and trying to be in and out of when time to sign.Marcel was great as well he walked me through the process and all the different options that will cover the car and never felt "I had to do it". From the time I sat in the office until the end the service stayed at a high level and everyone was consisted.I will like to thank the team for all their assistance and "CID" (Consider it done) attitude. I'm all about making it happen and looking for great service as I'm in the industry myself. If you are looking for a car go to Ford (Kia) Lanham they will make you feel as you are the one and only that matters during that time and afterwards. I walked in looking for a Volkswagen Alhagi was promptly helped me and sold me the Volkswagen in about an hour. I felt ripped off. I was told by Andrew they had a sale on the Fusion but when I tested drove a Fusion SE and fell in love with it then they told me it was not the one on sale and they did not have any of the S that were on sale but when I left they called me back and showed me a couple of fusions online but somehow I ended up getting the Fusion S shipped in but paid more than sales price. I eventually paid the sales price of the SE instead of the S but was not given the S. I am too trusting and this is the wrong place to go to if you thing friendly people are trustworthy. My new car is okay but I feel like I was rippped off I should have been given the one I test drove That was on sale on line for even less than what I end up paying for the basic S

This is my first new ford and was seriously considering the Ram Lamarie diesel Crew and the Toyota Tundra Crew. They were not as nice as the F150 Lariat I purchased. I was also very pleased today to learn that the Ford F150 is the only truck that excelled on the US Government and Insurance Institute off-set frontal crash ratings. I can't wait for the diesel version of the Lariat. Keep up the good work DARCARS Ford!

I purchased my first brand new car from Darcars about a week ago, and this weekend I discovered they drilled holes into the front bumper of my brand new car for a front plate that my home state, Pennsylvania doesn't require. When I asked for the a replacement bumper, they told me they do that for every car and thats how they do things. a habit doesn't make destroying a product right. It took me 6 hours to get in contact with them and they have treated me very rudely. I have filed a complaint with corporate and have a case number as well. This isn't how you treat a new first time customer.

Everyone was open and honest about the car buying process, which is pretty rare to come across. They ended up working with me so that I was able to get the best deal. My wife and I bought an Explorer from Ms. Sierra Whitehead, with some help from Marcus, yesterday and we were extremely happy with their service and professionalism. Sierra's candid and helpful attitude was a nice change from the disorganized and pushy sales staff from other dealerships that we visited earlier in the day. I was impressed with how friendly all the other dealership staff were as well; lots of friendly faces and conversation while waiting for paperwork etc.The pricing for the vehicle was fair and they negotiated without being overly aggressive or manipulative. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that they should make the details about rebates/cash back offers more clear on the website and it would be nice to know in advance that you can only get some of the rebates or 0% financing; not both (this is really a Ford Manufacturing rule). What impressed me most was the last part of the transaction when we had a slight miscommunication regarding the Sync feature. After all the paperwork was signed and we were about to drive off the lot we realized the base model we purchased didn't have Sync. When we went back inside to discuss wanting the feature, they apologized for any miscommunication and happily re-processed all the paperwork for a different vehicle that included the Sync feature. The team was concerned they did something wrong and moved quickly to get us back on the road with the right vehicle in no time. This was telling of their priorities; it was about the customer all the way! My wife and I will gladly return when we're ready to buy another vehicle.

Totaled my used 2013 Toyota Corolla and came back to get a New 2015 Kia Forte with only 5 miles and a better interest rate and rebates than I did with the Corolla ! Sierra and Thomas are a power team! the way they treat their customers are WONDERFUL i would recommend anybody who's looking to buy a new/used car to Darcars everybody was amazing from Sierra and Thomas to Jerris and everybody in finance ! Wow! First of all I did not think I would be able to get a new car. I never thought I could afford it but Sierra reassured me that anything was possible. I started my car buying search back at the beginning of April. I came back to Darcars in Lanham since I had a great experience when I bought my previous car back in 2012 from a guy named Milton. When I came to the dealership, I had unrealistic expectations of the type of car I needed and the amount of money I was able to spend. Thomas, the salesman I worked with took the time to show me around and explain to me that it was not going to be possible to get a brand new version of the car I needed and recommended looking at a used model. I was open to the idea, but they didn't have anything on the lot at that time that matched the criteria, so for the next two months Thomas would check in with me weekly to tell me of possible car matches that Darcars had in their network of dealerships. The Thursday before Memorial day Thomas called me to tell me that there were some great deals that would get me close to what I was looking for, so I came in. Finally after 2 months of patience and persistence, Thomas and the two gentlemen that worked the main desk, Constantin and Andrew helped me decide to lease the car I was looking for... BEST CAR BUYING/LEASING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!Below does not let me pick Kia as a brand.

The entire staff provided great customer service. The day after purchasing the vehicle, we notice one of the break lights bulb went out and we called Idrissa with our issue. He arranged for us to bring the car in the next morning and have it replaced. When we arrived the service Dept was aware of the situation and took care of us right away. I wasn't sure what to expect visiting here the other day based on a past experience at the New Carrolton location but Maurice, the sales man who helped me was really great. Normally I wouldn't write a review but this young man was so kind and treated me with such respect that I wanted to let others know. As an elderly person I am used to people trying to take advantage of me but he was patient and very nice and not at all pushy even when I told him I needed a few days to decide. I hate being pressured and treated like I haven't done my research which is why I walked away from 2 dealerships before came to Darcars in Lanham. Russell answered all my questions, showed me exactly what I was looking for and did not treat me like a "girl" buying her first car. I have never considered buying a Kia. As a matter of fact, I've only owned luxury cars until now. Russell took the time to show and explain all the features and benefits of driving a Kia. I was soo impressed that now I'm an unofficial Kia spokesperson and now own two. When I returned to purchase my second one, the manager tried showing me the car of the week. I told him Russell was my sales person and will only deal with him. He promptly located him for me. :)

I Talked to salesman Marcus Roundtree and told him what I wanted, a 2016 KIA Sorento the same color as the 2013 KIA I had purchased from him in 2012 with the same basic features. The last time I bought a car was in December 2001. I spent roughly around 8-9 hours in the dealer-ship. Although I purchased the car, the experience was a painful. Christine Darvish is the MVP of this location, she is fast with emailing back, and broke down the pricing in an easy to understand manner. Without qualifying for any incentives, the pricing for the vehicle was lower than anywhere I had ever seen. The location is about an hour from me, but it was completely worth it. The number was identical to the one Christine quoted me in an email. She truly made this process so much easier, and I am so thankful for that. DARCARS has a an absolute gem working for them. His patience, honesty and integrity are most admirable. The sales manager Constantine was honest and direct, but not disrespectful. Very bad experience buying a 2014 Ford Mustang from Darcars Ford Kia Lanham. I have all the details listed below, but in summary;1. They promised to speed buff the car, but they didn't and made me drive 3 times for it and ended up only washing the exterior!2. Sold me the car with one key only, and got an attitude when I asked to get the second one.Their excuse for everything (including no floor mats) is that It's a used car!First of all, after paying the full amount in cash and when I went to pick up the car, I got only one key and when I asked for the second key they said they don't have it and I have to buy a second one which costs $300. When I explained that this is unacceptable and that they never mentioned that it has one key only, first they said that they mentioned that (which they never did), then they said that it is what it is and if I said something before the deal was done and that this is a deal breaker maybe they could've done something about it. Also, while making the deal, I asked for the whole car to be buffed, which they agreed on "but I can't fix the scratches on the fender" the sales manager (Ali) said. I said that was fine just buff the car and whatever remains on it is fine. When I went to pick up the car it wasn't buffed, and when I asked the salesman (Abu) he said that they don't do that! So I went the next day to talk to the sales manager (Ali, who made the promise), at first he said it was done, then he said that he will take care of it, just come back another day. When I went the "other day" and talked to the body shop manager, he said that he was asked to only buff the scratched fender. I went to talk to the general manager (Darvish). He said he will take care of that. At the end after around 3.5 hours I was so tired, and they ended up only washing the exterior!In addition, when I went to fix a broken power outlet which I found when I picked up the car, the service department told me that they have to reschedule me for another day since I didn't bring it in at 8:00 am. At least, the GM "Darvish" was able to make them fix it that day.Bottom line; very unprofessional and dishonest staff (If you're buying a car from them (which I strongly do not recommend) make sure everything you need be done before you pay anything or get it in writing!

My senior aged parents have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealership. For some reason their second vehicle purchased brand new has been nothing but hassles 2012 Ford Focus. Problem, too long to repair vehicle and they do not keep you properly informed on the status. Oh it will be ready tomorrow, tomorrow comes and oh it's not ready. However, they don't call and tell you this until you call.....I know they want your money but they should want your business too. Personally would never use this place. Do not like the service my senior parents receive.

I repeatedly asked Mike Robinson to email me an out the door sales price and that the truck was in stock before I made the 3 hour trip to the dealership. For 5 days he said he would send it, but instead everyday emailed me to ask if I could stop by today. On day 5 he finally said the truck was sold and he was sorry but he would find another truck. He called me and said they found a truck but it was 1 thousand dollars more for the same exact truck, Mike gave me the price then called me back 15 minutes later and raised the price another thousand dollars because he deducted a rebate that shouldn't have been deducted making the truck 2000.00 dollars more. Mike didn't tell me the truth one time during the several days of phone calls and emails. I'm not sure how they stay in business treating would be customers this way. In hind sight I doubt they ever had the truck at the advertised price. When purchasing a truck at a local ford dealer after completing the deal I was discussing this deal with them and was told that there wasn't anyway without losing money the truck could have been sold for the price it was advertised for. Another ford dealer I was looking at a truck at told me the exact same thing. I haven't seen a car dealer lose money on anything yet.

They don't do what they promise. We were not happy with their repair because they do not back up their warranty policy as they state. The employees weren't horrible, but their service was. They released my vehicle saying it was fixed, but I ended up bringing it back the very next day for the same problem. They charged me an enormous amount of money, but they didn't fix the problem. I will never take any of my vehicles back to this dealer again.

We are from Delaware and were in the market for a compact car. We had our minds set on a new Ford Focus because it is the best car in the segment. We found out Darcars Ford dealership online and contacted them because of their great pricing and good reviews. The whole experience from the first phone call to the final sale of the vehicle was smooth and very pleasant. Our sales rep, Mr. Russell Dodd was knowledgeable, courteous and very honest. It was a 2 hour drive from Delaware but was worth it and we ended up buying the vehicle the same day after the test drive. There were no issues with pricing because it was the same as the one he quoted us. Loving the car. We definitely recommend this Ford dealership.

This is the second vehicle that I have purchased from the Sales Rep Ms. Betts. I so enjoyed the first experience, that I knew from the beginning, if I decided to purchase another vehicle, it would be from Ms. Betts. Ms. Betts is a professional, but 'a people person' as well. She will let you have your space, i.e., look over the showroom, take your time, answer any questions you may have, and definitely advise you on how to care for your vehicle.I was extremely surprised that when I purchase my first vehicle, a mechanic at the dealer bought my previous car it for his nephew. I was told that as a customer, I keep my vehicle in outstanding condition which bodes very well for a trade-in.I find Ms. Betts to be an expert in her field. She does not waste her time nor the customer's time. When I purchased my first vehicle, she took the time to find out the type of vehicle I wanted, i.e, small and good on gas, the color vehicle I wanted, i.e, she knows I like blue what type of vehicle I was comfortable with driving, i.e., something without a lot of gadgets and things I do not need nor want, as I am a simple person.Additionally, Ms. Betts would periodically send me emails wishing me happy anniversary on my new purchase, advising my on any recalls, classes given on the care/maintenance of my new vehicle and/or and new vehicles that I may have an interest in.Ms. Betts made the process of purchasing my second vehicle 'A PIECE OF CAKE'. There was no stress involved in purchasing this new vehicle at all. I took my Girlfriend to this dealership with the intent to just " look around". We were met by Alhagi Abu Jatta who introduced himself to us within minutes of walking on the lot. I came to Darcars Ford after seeing the C-Max at the DC Auto Show. They called me right away with the car I had requested. They took the time to listen to my needs. I was already driving a hybrid, so I really wanted to get a car with the same great gas mileage. The team here was fantastic! Ms. Betts was professional and extremely knowledgeable about the car. This was very impressive because the product I wanted was so new. She was patient with our questions. She allowed us the space to take the car through it's paces on the road. She even let me drive my route to work to really get the feel of the car on the road.I was almost sold, when I saw the color I HAD to have and it was not the color I had originally requested and they had found. Ms. Betts immediately found the car I wanted (features and color). She arranged to have it driven from another state for me to pick up at the Darcars Ford dealership. The new car arrived in only days and was ready for me when I arrived at the dealership. My husband usually hates car shopping. He really enjoyed the experience we had here. As a matter-of-fact, we are back again so he can test drive the Fusion Titanium Hybrid.DARCARS Ford makes you feel like family and I am grateful to Samuella for working with us. I was in the market for a new vehicle, and a Ford was at the top of my list. I went to the Ford website and configured a vehicle to my liking, and then asked the website where that vehicle was located. The website responded and said that Darcars had the exact model I was looking for. So, I attempted to go to their website - couldn't find the car listed because the filters on Darcar's website don't allow me to search for this particular vehicle. By disabling all of the filters and scrolling through all of the screens, I was able to find the vehicle and clicked the button to schedule a test drive a week later. I received an auto response saying that my test drive was all set.The morning of the test drive, I once agian went to Ford's website and confirmed that Ford's website said the vehicle I was interested in was on the lot at Darcars. I then show up at the time I was supposed to for my test drive. I was greeted by Malomo, who couldn't find my information in the system. I then told him I was there to test drive a particular vehicle. Malomo claimed that the vehicle was still in transit. I told him that the website said it was on the lot, and had been for almost a week. I then asked him what he had in stock that was similar to what I was after and he said they didn't have anything.The next day, I show up at their stated opening time of 9 AM. I wait 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. After 10 minutes, I start looking for someone. I say hello to a guy half dressed in a suit and ask him if there's anyone there to help me look at a car. He said no, there wasn't anyone there. I confirmed with him that they did open at 9 AM, and he said yes, but no one was available to help me.I go back later that day and see the guy that told me no one was available. I tell him I have exactly 1 hour. He hands me off to Booker. Booker finds me a vehicle to drive, and takes me on a test drive. He then asks me about buying the car and I tell him that I'm looking at an offshoot of the vehicle we just test drove. He then begins to argue with me about the differences in engineering between the vehicle we just drove and the vehicle I'm looking for. As I was short on time, I told him that I would have to continue this conversation at a later date. To Booker's credit, he did call me back the next day and I worked out what he was saying.

I recently leased a Ford from Darcars Ford Lanham and have spent every day of the past four months regretting it. I was lured into going with a Ford because they offer rebates for being a recent college graduate and another for being a service member, both of which I qualified for. Because of the rebates, the price of the vehicle became more attractive and practical. When I leased the vehicle, I had to write a holding check until I could provide proof that I met the requirements for both rebates. I provided the proof that Ford requires, however, Darcars refused to recognize the rebates and cashed my holding checks. It has literally been months that I have now spent trying to get that money back. Hess, the General Manager, has made this entire process one of the most difficult and upsetting experiences that I have ever been a part of. He has been trying to take advantage of my age, financial status and lack of experience in car buying. He has been rude, disrespectful and dishonest. He has had me on hold for hours, hung up on me, and has straight up ignored my calls. Andrew, the General Sales Manager, never returns my calls and has brushed me off as if my concerns are not a big deal.I have never written a review online before, but I do hope that you read this and take my advice seriously. I have regretted doing business with Darcars Ford Lanham since the day I signed that contract.

My Daughter graduated from College over the weekend (with honors). For her hard work, we searched for a new car, rather than pre-owned. We narrowed the search to three cars: Chevy Sonic, Toyota Yaris and Ford Fiesta. We searched for several days test driving and conducting extensive market research. It was decided that we were going to purchase a Ford Fiesta. Im a car guy I love cars and have purchased several new cars in my life. Holly and I arrived at DARCARS in Lanham meeting with Andrew Schultz, General Sales Manager who quickly introduced us to Kwami Amegan, Sales Consultant. Right from the beginning respect for one another was evident. We told him the car was for Holly he was so accommodating and VERY honest with the product. He did not speak over her and patient with all Hollys questions. I was proud of her and pleased with the patience of Kwami. The first car he showed us had some minor deficiencies. Yes, I found some and Kwami pointed out others. When Mr. Schultz found out the number of defects, advised against this car. He said since this was Hollys first car, he did not want the experience flawed in any way. To my surprise he upgraded the car to more options with very little price increase. Kwami was so accommodating to Holly making us feel very comfortable never rushing us or making us feel uncomfortable at all he valued our comments. Mr. Schultz stopped by several times to check on the progress, and demonstrated respect and patience to this new car buyer. They both explained the process and were more than accommodating. Then came the financing, where we met Marcel Greene. Mr. Greene was right in line with the Andrew and Kwami forthright, honest, accommodating and patient. He was able to give Holly an even better rate than we had been pre-approved for, and went the extra step to ensure we were happy. There was no pressure throughout the entire process. At the end of the experience, Kwami surprised Holly by driving the car on to the show room floor so she could get the complete feel of the vehicle. Holly was beaming and I was so very proud of her! My deepest appreciation for the efforts of Andrew Schults, Kwami Amegan and Marcel Greene for making Hollys first car buying experience such a positive one. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership and the three Gentlemen that contributed to this experience.

Kept appointment by driving 2 hours in the rain to see a car they didn't have. They couldn't find the car. Didn't know where it was. Passed one guy off as Sales Manager. He wasn't. Said they'd bring the car to me when they found it - that's against company policy. Tried for 2 days and nothing but obfuscation. Seems the car was sent to auction and know one updated the inventory list or the web. Started the process on Saturday over the internet. Fell apart on Tuesday. As of Wednesday, the car was still on the net. New car sales may be fine but used cars is the pits.

From the very beginning of the process to the very end, I was treated with attentive and compassionate customer care. I was impressed with the "Darcars Hospitality" from my initial Metro station pick-up to how Samuella listened to my needs and desires. She did not breeze through a scripted presentation and attempt to sell me something based on her own agenda. She patiently heard my concerns and tailored her discussion accordingly. She encouraged me to be positive and consider the best possible options for my children and me. She walked me through each phase of the process step-by-step and coached me when I needed assistance. She then passed the baton to Lisa, who continued with the upbeat encouragement, guiding me through all of the financial concerns and paperwork. This was truly a miracle process which took place in a miraculous time frame. I am 100% completely satisfied. I also appreciated the follow-up, which told me that this particular dealership is not simply concerned with making sales, but earning trust and building lifetime customers. I have had to change the ratings I had previously given for this dealer. Positive: This was the only dealership we found that would offer a great discount off the MSRP. We tried to deal with dealerships in our local area in Virginia, and the local Virginia dealerships would not negotiate at all, refusing to go below sticker price. Andrew and Ali were helpful and attentive until the end of the deal when we were getting ready to leave the dealership. Negative: Ali proceeded to tell us that he would not get his bonuses if we did not rate him all 5's in the future mailing Ford survey. Ali and Andrew proceeded to persuade/strongly encourage us to rate them all 5's in the DealerRater survey to the point of near coercion. It was uncomfortable to us and we felt forced to do their bidding instead of rate them as we saw fit. Another negative: My daughter had been driving the Fiesta to work for 3 days and when she found a blue Bud Lite beer can flattened under the passenger seat, she asked us why the dealership would let the car leave the premises with an open beer can. She does not drink, had kept the car locked, and there is only one explanation. Someone in the dealership drank the beer and hid it in the car, or a customer left the beer can in the car. Had she been pulled over by the police, she would have been humiliated, embarrassed, and possibly arrested due to the dealership's negligence. I phoned Andrew early Tuesday evening, May 8, and left a message. No call. Called again on Wednesday, May 9, and he claimed to have not received the previous message. I asked him if he knew the detailer for that car, he said yes, and I proceeded to explain what our daughter found in the car. He said he found it hard to believe that they would have left a beer can in the car, said it could not have happened, as if I were making it up. He then asked what he could do. I told him a phone call from the detailer with an apology to my daughter would be sufficient and he assured me he would have the detailer call my daughter Wednesday evening. This is Friday afternoon, and she never received a phone call and received no apology. Perhaps, they need someone to inspect the vehicles after the detailer does his thing. It could have been a nice experience for our daughter when purchasing her first car - a Ford Fiesta.UPDATE: Ali Soltani and Mr. Darvish sent our daughter an apology and a gift card saying they will be more careful releasing new cars to buyers in the future. They seemed sincere and we accept their apology. We will reconsider buying from Darcars in the future.

I felt like I had made a new friend, who taught me how to sync a Bluetooth, and gave me a good deal! We called the dealership about a car on the web, drove 50 minutes to Maryland from Virginia where there are many local Ford dealers...after already visiting three in Virginia. Samuella took the call and I drove home with a hot looking mustang, I feel younger already.

I was car shopping at home in Virginia and no one had the 4 cylinder Ecoboost Ford Explorer in stock that I wanted. I found Darcars Ford on the web and contacted them. They had two, one of which I was interested but it had a contract on it. They thought they had located another one with the same spec's and we agreed that I would arrive Saturday morning and purchase it. They called me Friday evening stating in fact they could not get the Explorer we discussed but presented me with other options. They were able to obtain my number two choice with a higher level package and through their efforts were able to put together a comparable deal rivaling my original price point. They did not obnoxiously state they wanted to earn my business while actually doing nothing but trying to sell inventory. They asked, they listened and they made it happen while providing an overall great experience. The staff I delt with was friendly, professional and followed through on every point that we agreed on. My salesman Emmanuel followed up post sale by phone. The only way it could get any better is if they delivered to my front door 150 miles away. Next one maybe?

I did have some interest in a KIA but the salesperson didn't listen to me and tried to strong arm the sale. I ultimately bought elsewhere. I have since been spammed and robo called. The even don't have my name right. Like I would ever buy from someone who can get customer info right. DON'T give them any information about you it will be used by ALL their dealers and you will be called during work hours constantly. unsubscribing doesn't work either. Their "customer relations" couldnt even find me in their system yet I keep getting calls and emails. I bought elsewhere and got a great deal. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!

I walked into this dealership KNOWING I didn't want to buy a car from them because after researching online, I was pretty sure they didn't have what I was looking for. That ended up being true, but Armen and Andrew went out of their way to make sure they could get what I wanted.I had test-driven the car I wanted earlier in the day at a different dealership (Apple Ford), but I didn't like the way I was treated by the cocky salesman there and how he was absolutely unwilling to deal with the price on the car I was looking at and talking to me like I was flat-out stupid. So I ended up going to DARCARS Ford just so I could cover all my bases and do the proper price shopping before I made a purchase.As I mentioned before, they didn't have the particular car, but once I let Armen know what I was looking for, he found the exact car I wanted and Andrew gave me a better price than the dealer I was at earlier that morning.Since the car wasn't in stock, yes, I had to wait, but they supplied me with a loaner until I was able to pick up car I had requested.Ak in financing was great to work with as well, and he came in early on his shift the day I was able to pick up the car (today) so he could help me get everything in line.I picked her up today, and I'm very satisfied with the car...exactly what I wanted.Bottom line is, this was my first new car. Armen, Andrew and Ak went out of their way for me and gave me a good deal on what I wanted. Leaving for a long roadtrip and after two days of being shot down by other service shops for being to late (1 hr before close) last resort, Darcars Ford. I pull up, to be told, they stop taking cars two hours ago. I explained my dilemma and mechanic Jeff along with Shane were so gracious to help me out. I'm ever so grateful b/c they could've turned me down like everyone else. Truly angels who saved me from doing something reckless, like getting on the road without an oil change. Not sure how a page of glowing 5s and a page of scathing 1s average out to 4.9 but...I took my truck in for a recall and inquired about a tapping. They promised they would look into it. 23 days later they said it was ready...yes 23 Daaays!The next day I returned with the same tapping and was given an appt the next week as if they had never seen me or my vehicle before. After over 3 weeks poreviously these guys were able to diagnose that I either, had no problem at all and the tap was normal or according to a suddenly available service bulletin was due to possibilities that were nOT what they had performed during the first visit. They also speculated it was a different noise. I have heard it for months and the tech heard it before the first repair(i use that term loosely) and my return. It WAS the same tap. Either that or I miraculously had a failure with the same resulting tapping in less than 60 miles after picking up the truck.If you have ANY choice whatsoever, stay away from DARCARS Lanham uness you are feeling lucky or the repair is a no-brainer.

You couldn't wish for a better experience from this dealership. Samuella personally followed up on the sale. I have a 2007 F250 ford truck that I purchased new at DarCars Ford in Lanham in Dec of 2006. I recently had it serviced at this dealship for an oil change and tire rotation. Shane is and has always been my service advisor. Once the oil was changed and tire rotation completed I explained to Shane that I had a wobble in the front end of my truck after hitting bumbs in the road. The trucks front wheels would shake after hitting bumbs in the road and continue to shake for several minutes after. Shane asked one of the machanics to test drive the veh. the machanic returned and explained that their was something going on in the front end. I asked if the problem would prevent me from driving the vehicle for a few more days. I was told it was safe to drive so I than made an appointment for a later date to have the front end problem addresed. When I returned I left the truck to be serviced and went home. About two hours later I recieved a call from Shane my service advisor who throughly explaianed the problem with my vehicle and the total cost of the repairs. The total cost of the part and labor was somewhere in the neighborhood of $1100.00. I had to pause for a moment, and I pondered why my ford truck that is only 4 years old and only has 36k miles had such an enormus repair problem. So, being very concerned I asked Shane why my truck which is only 4 years old and very low milage has such a problem and is their anything that he could do about reducing the repair cost. Shane mentioned that he was not sure why the problem had occured but he would speak to his supervisor about some finacial relief. Shane explainded my concerns to Mike the service departments supervisor. Mike contacted me and I expained to him my concern of having to pay for such a masive repair bill when I only have 36k miles and 4yrs on my truck. I also explained that once this repair is completed whats to keep it from recurring and costing me another 1100.00? I explained to Mike that Ford claims to have the longest lasting trucks on the road and that they are built Ford Tough I could see why they last so long if people like me continue to fix all of the problems that may occur at our expience. Mike mentioned that he would do what he could to help me with this costly and untimely repair. Two hours later Mike called me back and explained that I would only have to pay 1/2 of the cost and that Ford Motor Corp. would pay the rest. It is directly because of Shane my Service Advisors professionalism that my complaint was heard and effectivly dealt with. I would like to thank and commend Shane for his exceptional service towards me the customer and his attentive listening to my concerns. He took my concerns to his supervisor Mike and Mike was able to facilatate a resolution. They both should be thanked and commended.Mark A. The Assistant Service Manager Mohammad L. Janneh was awesome. Friendly, polite and professional. Even when I had made an appointment and it didn't show up in the system, he didnt even skip a beat. Answered all my questions and was honest and through. My Ford F150 needed a 15,000 service. I got the impression that the mechanics were well trained, I could see them working on my vehicle and it appears they really gave it a good check. I asked for an fuel filter change and was advised that it was not needed. I was surprised by the honesty. After it was all said and done the price was great, I expected the service to be much more expensive. I will definately be using their service department in the future.

Russell and Ramin met me as I entered the showroom. Their greeting was very warm. I felt as if I was at home. No pressure,just a question. What vehicle do you want and what do you want in it? The vehicle, a 2011 Ford Explorer with the equipment I requested wasn't on the lot. An order form was made out. The Explorer arrived a month later. I took delivery a week after arrival. The financing and paperwork went so smooth and quick I was dazed. This is the best experience I've ever had buying a car. I also recieved a great assist from Marcel Green. Marcel resolved a problem with my phone in order to sync to the Explorer. Big thanks to Marcel.

My choice of Darcars was based on the company's reputation, which I found to be well earned. Samuella and Dk were so much fun to work with -- efficient and professional but also with great senses of humor and friendliness. It was late in the evening and they were as fresh as first thing in the morning --- awesome. They both get my highest rating in every respect.In addition, everyone on the sales floor was attentive and helpful and I had a very good prior telephone conversation with Ariana.I knew I wanted to buy my car, so Samuella really wasn't able to practice her obviously considerable sales skills, but she guided me to the model I really wanted, and I am very satisfied with my new car.I did return the following morning to change some paperwork, and this was done very graciously and expeditiously.The dealership is awesome and I would recommend it and intend to buy my next car there. My only disappointment is that I didn't get to meet Tammy Darvish, who is one of my role models.

I had my Winstar towed to Darcars because my power steering went bad. (I had my power steering pump replaced less than two months earlier). I was told that the power steering pressure hose melted on the exhaust pipe and that I needed my rack and pinion replaced because it had burned out due to the lack of power steering fluid. I was quoted $1,498.85 to repair.I tried to explain that I just had the power steering pump replaced and that the hose must have come off due to faluty replacement of the hose when the pump was replace. But in his words he "didn't want to place blame."So I called the place where I first had the pump replaced and told them of the repairs they said to replace a rack and pinion and pressure hose shouldn't cost more than $1,000.00. I paid the $100.00 to Darcars for diagnosing the repair and I had to pay $150.00 to have the van towed a second time.As it turned out only the hose needed to be replaced. The rack and pinion was fine (I didn't drive the van after the hose burst) and I ended up having to pay $500.00 for the repair.I don't think Darcars looked at the rack and pinion they just saw an opportunity to over charge for a repair that was not needed. And just like the other reviews the shop was very disorganized and the employees were not very professional. I certainly feel sorry for all the people who do business with Darcars Ford in Lanham. I'm sure I'm not the first (nor the last) consumer who is being over charged and charged for repairs that are not needed.

Very unorganized, and dishonest staff. Worst car buying expierence that I've ever expierenced. There is a major communication break down between the finance department at DARCARS Lanham Ford, and their Subsidiary finance companies. It took over two months to receive my account number, only to discover that the dealership had a totally different number on my contract. Not only that, I was told to make my first payment at the dealership, since I hadn't received my account number in time for the first payment (I did this, ON TIME). Month two rolls around, I still hadn't received anything from the finance company, so I contact the finance dept. at the dealership who gives me an account number, and a number to contact the finance company. Well, I wasn't able to speak to a live person at the time that I called, so I logged into the website that was given to me, put in my account number and other requested information -- and I saw my information on the screen -- I proceed to make my payment (this was the day before my payment was due). Two days later, I receive in the mail a letter for the finance company (dated 13 DAYS prior to the date that I received the letter). This letter had my account number on it (This is the second account number that I have received, for the same contract). Not only did this letter come after my car note was due, the letter also stated that I owed my note for the 1st month, as well as for the 2nd (Remember, I was instructed to pay the first month at the dealership -- and I did ON TIME). I called the number on the letter, only to be connected with someone who was rude, and could barely speak English. He tells me that they have no payment, and that I paid my 2nd month car note on the wrong website, and that I wouldn't receive credit for making my payment until they receive it from Chrysler.I explained to him that, I did what I was supposed to, and instructed to do. I paid both the first and second month payments on time, and I shouldn't be penalized for their lack of organization. I then asked to speak with a Supervisor, and was put on hold and then hung up on, Very Professional, wouldn't you say??? The Finance guy at DARCARS Lanham Ford, seems like he is really trying to get this matter resolved; however, the same stands true with this dealership. No follow-up phone calls, I feel like I have to make several phone calls to get answers. I have had to contact a lawyer, because I will not have my credit tarnished by these crooks. Ooh, and did I mention that the finance guy had yet a THIRD account number listed for my contract (this is absolutely ridiculous)! DARCARS Lanham Ford, could really use some customer service training, I went to Moore Cadillac, with a friend who was purchasing a truck, and we both were treated like royalty. Moore Cadillac is AWESOME, I have referred two people to Moore Cadillac, and both have purchased vehicles, and said that they would defintely purchase from there again. I can't refer anyone to DARCARS, and the person who referred me there, is so sorry that they did. It was Lanham Ford at the time when they purchased their vehicle, they didn't know about how terrible DARCARS reputation was, neither did I until I did my homework (too late)! Maybe others will lie down and take this but not me, I will not allow this to continue to happen, I wouldn't wish this expierence on my worst enemy! Please save yourself the headache, and pass by DARCARS Lanham Ford, go to a dealership where you will be treated with respect, where the Management is HONEST, and where you will get the best deal. Life is a learning experience, and I have truly learned from this mistake. But I am grateful that God is a faithful God, He will turn MESS into a true BLESSING!! The devil is a liar, and the truth will always prevail!!

Salesmen are very rude and dishonest, including the managers!! They talkl to you like you are 8 yrs old and they are punishing you! We were going over payment options with the manager and after about 10 min. the price went up $3,000!! They tried to say that is was "basic math" and i wasn't paying attention and that I was being rude!!! So with paper and a pen I showed them how to figure out payments and they were in total agreement....then once again the price just kept going up. And while we were sitting there the manager says, "i'll add $500 for extra commission." ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! All the salesmen do really is stand around and stare at the customers while they wait....absolutely ZERO customer service. We walked out at how badly we were treated.Bottom Line: THEY ARE COOKED DEALERS!!!! AND TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL.

Where do we begin?<br><br>First, the overall dishonesty of our sales representative who was difficult to reach in trying to set an appointment to have the second car alarm set up, he said over the phone he would have one of his guys do it in 20 minutes if I gave him 20 bucks cash for lunch.<br><br>Second, the General Manager of the entire store was extremely rude to my wife & I when we were in with financing. We had already laid out how we would be getting a check this week from our credit union to Darcars and the GM comes in rudely and says, that we had to put a deposit down in order to get the car.<br><br>The dealership was also very slow and just played a lot of cat & mouse games in terms of doing a deal with us on the car. Would absolutely NOT recommend (plus, the dealership is difficult to get to and not a great area).
