From when I pulled in to when I pulled off the lot in my new car, the service was top of the line. Ed was very kind, polite, & eager to listen to what I wanted & make it happen. I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me a car but trying to find exactly what I was looking for. I bought a 4Runner while it was in transport to the dealership & Ed was very clear throughout the whole process. Total transparency on all prices & fees that went into the drive off price of the vehicle. I traded in a car & they were able to match the cash offer I had on hand. The car came in on a Wednesday but I wasn’t able to pick it up until Thursday. Ed had Thursday off but met me at the dealership at 8am to make sure I was taken care & everything was in order. I could phone or email at any time & he would update me on the process. The type of guy that you want to spend thanksgiving with. Very smooth & easy process from start to & finish. I will be buying my next car from Ed at Don McGill without a doubt.

I must confess that I am one of the most difficult customers to please because am always looking for the best deals while doing all I can to save myself some extra cash. Once again, I recently stopped by at Don McGill Toyota of Katy and I was specifically looking for Joshua Iyoha, who had previously sold me a great 2014 Corolla. Joshua Iyoha patiently took me through all the options I had and also ensured to save me time as well, as he worked quickly and effectively. Today I went through costco to get a price on a Toyota Tundra. I spoke with a internet sales guy at Don McGill and after numerous phone calls and emails, we agreed on a truck and final price. I went to the dealership with the printed invoice for that specific truck including the VIN # and price. He had the truck pulled aside for us and we checked it out and decided to purchase it. We went inside to start the paperwork. After about 10 min. an assistant sales manager came out and said we couldn't have this truck for the price that was promised. He said we could get a different truck for that price. I showed him my printed invoice and the price that was promised. He basically didn't care and refused to let us get the truck as we were promised.. obviously, we left empty handed... I still can't believe this actually occurred.

I called to check on a new vehicle that just popped up online, it took several people to figure out if they actually had the vehicle in stock, they did not, but it was inbound for next week.They asked me to come in anyway to test drive a similar vehicle, and to evaluate my trade in, I agreed and headed to Katy. We walked around the lot to find and test drive the similar vehicle, we never found it. I said, lets just crunch the numbers, the salesman agreed, took my keys to have my vehicle checked. After the vehicle was checked, the salesman returned with a piece of paper and starts telling me how much my payments would be, and asked how much I was wanting to put down. I was a little shocked because of the numbers, and asked how much was the offer for my vehicle. The offer was a little more than 50% of the stock current retail value, and it has $6500.00 in extras on it. It's funny that when you purchase a new vehicle, they almost double the price on the aftermarket extras they install, but if you install them and trade it in, they don't add value lol.I asked the sales guy if he was trying to insult me ? After more back and forth, the sales guy comes back and asks if I could just leave a deposit. I said we have not agreed on a price, the sales guy says, we can go over the final numbers next week when the vehicle arrives. Told him I would be glad to leave a deposit, but not without final numbers, now the sales manager shows up and repeats, I said the same thing, not without final numbers.The sales manager says, we have already given you the numbers, I said, where are they ? The sales guy goes back to the managers desk and brings back the original paper that we were still trying to negotiate. He starts throwing out number based on this, based on that, I asked for final numbers and starts repeating the same thing. At this point, I'm a little befuddled, due to the fact that they have all of my info, and this would have been my 8th Toyota truck from a Toyota dealer. I said, I'll have to think about and left. Really glad I asked for my vehicle keys long before this point, uh no....I do not plan on going back to Don McGill Toyota, the entire experience felt like a scam. My very clean 2.5 year old vehicle with 50k miles, and extended gold plan warranty are good for a while longer.Regards

Watch this Dealer close. They play the games and don't follow through unless you stay right on top of them. They will lie about the condition of "certified" used inventory. They tried to sell my daughter a car with ttires that were below minimum tread depth required to pass inspection. THIS IS UNSAFE. They lied to her about the value of her 2011 Honda Fit and added $1,400.00 to the value towards a new (2015) Scion xB. They lied about saving sales tax. All trade-in have 6.2 tax credit that is subtracted from the sales tax on the new car ( Texas State Comptrollers Office ). They did not discuss line items on the contract as required. This allowed them to add $299.00 for "key replacement". We had to stay after them to get this removed in writing, as according to Don McGill, after 10 days you are stuck with that one. Their "upper management" is UNAVAILABLE after the sale. A $4.00 park shifter release cover was missing and it took the better part of a day to get them to agree to pay for reimbursement. The roof antenna was missing but we caught that before leaving the dealership and they secured one from another car on the lot. They promise $100.00 if you bring them new business on a new car ( not sure on a used one ). I purchased a 2015 in October of 2015 and returned with my daughter who purchased a 2015 on January 27, 2016. They are not going to offer the $100.00. They told me today that it would apply on another sale but not this one. Whatever you do check everything at least twice. They will play hard to get after you leave. The new General Manager ~ Michael Hartmann NEVER would return my calls. I called him 4 times and left voicemail. They brag about being the number 1 volume dealer of Toyota's in Houston but much of what they pulled is typical dishonesty and acting like amateurs. They are professional hustlers. Make certain that you do your homework, take your time with the documents and GET IT IN WRITING as they play hard to find after the sale. Make them earn that "#1" slot and get it up front. They are behind the times and count on deceit and misleading you during an all day "negotiation" designed to wear you down and miss the deception. Get your best deal up front and do comparison shopping.All these dealers need to move inventory. Some treat you better than others. This dealership tried to fast talk and fast walk you and run from you later. BUYER BEWARE.

We bought our 2005 Toyota Sienna, 2007 Lexus IS 250 and recently our 2016 Toyota Tundra Texas Edition from this dealership wherein we always go home satisfied. We thought we will need to go somewhere else to buy our Tundra because the quote that we had from another dealership was better than what they are giving us. Although we understood that the vehicle they're offering us has more options but we told them that we could not afford to pay more than the quote that we received somewhere else. Eduardo Cabezas worked diligently and patiently with us to get my husband's dream truck from them. I highly recommend him and this dealership to everyone who is planning to get their dream car.

Been there for two days and I got all the paper until 2nd day (didn't fight for monthly payments ) Second day just got all the number mess up (The finance management ). "Chino" didn't kwon anything about the sale givin me other numbers and when I tell him he ask for everything(sale amount) And when he give me the monthly payments Just one He says no I can't work it out saying I was playing around and not even once he ask for the price that I was looking for If you want to buy a car there don't get with "Chino " he won't do anything for you not even try once Thanks Jonathan N.

leased a vehicle from them. they sent emails and called regarding upgrading early. website and passwords didn't work correctly. scheduled an appointment only to wait for 20 minutes when no one came we left. first salesman called gave him all our information and was told he would have sales information the next day. called 24 hours later was told no one by that name worked there. called the next and asked was told he was in a training session, and had been for the last several days. gave our information to a second salesman with the same promises. that was 2 days ago still have not received any information from them on upgrading.

This review is from Richard Howard and my wife madonna Mahony. We bought a previously owned 2010 Ford Edge from this dealer, on line salesman Buck Diers to be exact, on 6/5/2015. After all the talk and paperwork etc. which takes quite awhile we were ready to leave with the vehicle. At that point, Buck Diers told us that there was only one key to the vehicle. he gave us a similar key explaining that all we had to do was go to the Ford dealer and have them cut and replace the "arm" of the key. he said that this would save us a llot of the $350.00 it costs to obtain a modern computereized key and that he was doing us a favor by doing this. HAH !! The Ford dealer explained otherwise and sakid they would be glad to make a key for $350.00 but that the keh they gave us was worthless. So back we go to McGill and Buck Diers who at this point really did not want to deal with us and our key problem. Now it was,"well we only got one key with the vehicle so thats what you get." Then we got to see James Rodriguez the New Car Sales Manager who sat with us and said that Buck was in error about the key he gave us but that Buck did not know it could not be done that way. He sweet talked us by checking our warrenty and he said we had LOST KEY coverage so wait a month and claim a LOST KEY. He also gave us a $50.00 gift card to cover our deductable. We did but discovered that McGill's finance dept. had not forwarded our information to the warrenty folks. Having emailed James Rodriguez several times with no response, we called him and explained the situation. he said to wait another couple of weeks. We did. Still no active warrenty in place. We left Rodriguez a phone message. No response. We attempted to get the name of the general manager. Nothing... My point to him was, had we known about the missing key UP FRONT from sales, we would have negotiated the $350.00 off the price in addition to the measley $1,000.00 off that we did negotiate. It would have been so simple and over and done with bugt now it is an ongoing problem bloth with the key issue and with the slowness in getting our warrenty in place. We have gotten no satisfaction at all except for the $50.00 gift card and the advice to claim a lost key. Oh, and a couple of speeches saying they are not at fault for anything because they only got one key to begin with. WHICH I MAINTAIN WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN UP FRONT. UPDATE: We finally ot through to the finance dept. at McGill Toyota in Katy, TX. Now the story goes that our warrenty IS in place but that we were calling the wrong phone number. (well the number we used is on the paperwork-go figure). Anyway she said we have NO key replacement in our warrenty but that McGill gives one year lost key replacement as a courtesy to ALL customers. Hmmm, first time we heard that and not at all what James Rodriguez told us. So she gave me the phone number but I had to leave another message and I have NOT heard back from yet at this writing. And the beat goes on.......

I found the truck I wanted 2 hours from home in Katy at this dealership. I was guided to an online application for pre-approval. Ran my credit and told me they had a deal in place and that I was approved. I asked 2 times before making the trip what I needed to bring. "Insurance and proof of income" I asked three times if they would be needing to run more inquiries on my credit and my salesman said "no". I asked the same thing when I arrived at the dealership. I was told it take all of 45 minutes but it ended up taking 8 hours. Shuffled me through 4 different finical reps. Asked me for a co-signer 3 times. I'm pretty sure when I said no the first 2 times they heard me. Ran 12 inquiries on my credit just to give me a deal 120 more a month and 15% higher interest rate than the one promised over the phone the day before that I was supposedly "Approved" for.. Ended up getting the loan from some crappy company that charges you a western fee to pay your truck note.

I purchased a used Avalon from Toyota of Katy. I live 350 miles away, and I had to do most of my research online and through email. Ayeshah Khan was outstanding and very helpful. I was treated with the utmost care. I also met Jim Rodriguez while there purchasing my vehicle. The dealership was a very pleasant palce to be during my purchase. I am very happy with the transaction and especially happy with Ayeshah. Since there is a Toyota dealership in my city, I could have tried to find my vehicle there, but I have never felt welcome at my local Toyota dealership. It was worth the 6 hour one-way drive to deal with Toyota of Katy. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

We just bought a used FJ cruiser from Shelby Allen at this location. Shelby was great - no pressure but very informative and helpful. We had seen the vehicle online but were about four hours away. Shelby took additional photos for me and emailed them to me. He was very prompt in answering all the questions that I had. He also worked with me on the price so that when we arrived and saw that the vehicle was as wonderful as it looked to be, we weren't waiting around to haggle over price. We had never bought a used vehicle before and were very nervous about the whole process. It turned out to be a great experience. thanks!

I just bought a 2012 Prius three lift back from Don McGill three months ago, excellent car but I needed more power. So I decided to see if I can trade it in back. My wife had also just bought a 2013 sequoia from them . Our fears was loosing a lot of money since I had just got the car from them. The Sales person Daroius welcomed us back and took care of us. He advised me in a excellent 2014 Scion tC . Todd the sales manager gave me an outstanding price in the Prius which I barely lost some money in it , not only that but gave us also a steal deal on the 2014 Scion tC. After words we went to Chino the finance manager. He fought again for a great apr rate. I can only summarize my words in one thing the family of Don McGill are people that care about people , they are family and I can trust anyone from that dealership . You are treated world class service period . Thanks again.

I needed to trade in 2 older cars to buy 2 slightly used cars. Met with Adam on a Saturday night and he quickly found 2 cars that met our needs. Finance was able to get the deals we needed and everything was explained and very open. Adam even connected our phones to the car's Bluetooth before we left! I traded in my car on the 4th of December, they got a 10 day pay off. My car payment was due on the 14th. No payment was made. So I called the dealership, they asked me to go ahead and make a payment, and once they payoff, I will get a refund from the bank. Its has now been a month and 10 days, its the 14th of January now and still the car has not been paid off. I have to continue making payments on a car that I've sold over a month back so it wont affect my credit. I keep calling them and they say they'll call back but noone calls back. I am a very patient person but I do expect atleast some communication. The dealership has failed miserably to provide decent customer service. I have bought 3 cars from this dealership but I don't think I'll be doing business here again ever.

i have mixed feelings about this place. when i went there, i had a GREAT experience with the sales manager. he was so helpful and even offered us candy, coffee, etc when we got there. he had the minor chips on the paint of the car touched up before we left, had the car fueled up, and even knocked some of the price off the already super low price of the car that i wanted. his name is Ed Salazar and he's amazing. but after i got my car, the finance and title dept dropped the ball majorly! i emailed them my insurance paperwork two weeks after i bought my car, at which point they are suppose to send you your license plate and registration in the mail. when i emailed the insurance paperwork to them, i received confirmation from someone in the finance dept that it was received and that they would get it to the right person. well, after waiting around for about 4 weeks with still not receiving it, i started to get worried being that my temporary plates are only good for 60 days. (it has now been 7 weeks and i still don't have my plates and registration, by the way!) i spole to someone in the title dept (Anita Fisher) when i called and she told me they were still waiting on the insurance paperwork. what??! i said i emailed all of that 4 weeks ago to a Ms. Karen Lopez. Ms. Anita Fisher told me that she would call in my plates to overnight them and that i would have them tuesday. well, i never received them tuesday so i called at the end of that week and spoke to Ms. Anita Fisher again and she was EXTREMELY RUDE and kept interrupting me, using my name repeatedly and talking to me like a child, and when i told her i was going to speak to a manger she said "that's fine, which one?" as if she was not worried whatsoever about how upset a customer was. she passed the blame onto the DMV and said they were closed (which they were not because it was not a holiday on the day she said they were closed) instead of apologizing. also, instead of calling me that week to let me know that there was going to be a delay for whatever reason with me getting my plate and that i would in fact not be getting it on tuesday, she did not notify me at all and then acted like i was inconveniencing her when i called to inquire about them yet again. it would have been nice to at least get a call from her to tell me that i would not be receiving them on the day that she initally stated. my thoughts are that she forgot to put the request in completely and is just trying to cover herself by passing blame or lying about the place being closed. i finally spoke to a manager and he told me i will be receiving my plates and registration next tuesday or wednesday. let's see if that actually happens. so, it's hard to rate this dealership because Mr. Ed Salazar was so great but Ms. Anita Fisher was one of the rudest people in customer service that i've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

I had a wonderful first-time buying experience at Toyota of Katy. As a single young woman and first time buyer, I was weary about walking into the dealership. I was worried that I would be pressured, or even worse deceived by the salesmen. However, Jim Davis was courteous and professional as soon as I arrived. After 12 years, it was time to replace my current Toyota Camry. We have dealt exclusively with Don McGill Toyota over the past 25 years and have always felt good about our purchases, the financing offered, and the service received. But our experience this time was even better than the times before. I wanted a specific car (Camry XSE, black exterior, black leather interior, and specific options), and Si Nguyen, our sales associate, made that happen. The first car they brought in for us did not have the moon roof I wanted, and when I insisted that I was not happy, both Si and the Sales Manager assured me that they would find the exact car that I wanted. It is easy to give great customer service when nothing goes wrong, but the true test is how a dealership/sales associate reacts when something goes wrong. They were extremely apologetic, and we were assured that they would have exactly what we wanted in just a few days time, and they delivered! We were given a great price, very decent financing, and friendly, informative service. I usually hate purchasing a car because I always feel that the dealership got the best of the deal. Not with Don Mcgill Toyota and Si! I feel that they more than accommodated us at every turn, and I have absolutely no 'buyer's remorse'. If you are in the market for a new car, do yourself a favor and go to Don McGill Toyota. Be sure to ask for Si Nguyen. You will never regret it!

I was toying around with the idea of trading in my 2010 Toyota Rav 4 for something newer with less miles. I made an appointment with Mick and when I arrived there was very little I had to do. You hear about "battling with finance" and the "salesmen not listening". That was certainly not the case here. When I looked at the 2014 Toyota Rav 4 Mick was very knowledgable about the features and how it would fit my needs. I felt comfortable in the car and with the monthly cost I would pay for it. Overall a very pleasant and mind easing experience. I've recommended Mick and Don McGill to several of my friends.

This dealership rocks!! Let me start to share this outstanding but yet emotional experience at the don mcgill family !! I love cars , cars is my hobby I have bought several cars from this dealership , this past week my wife was in need of a bigger car so we were shopping for a 2013 sequoia , she wanted a certified unit limited edition but couldn't find one with very low miles , but again I sought the don McGill family as always and found the exact model I wanted, it was priced below market value , but yet like new , Delano the sales manager and Todd the other sales manager worked side by side with us to ensure the best trade in for our vehicle was appraised better than other dealerships valued our car, the sales person named Darius just was excellent like them, he took the car for us fuled it to full , and gave us a two year oil change for free , our story didn't end here , the finance manager darel chino got us a interest rate that no other bank could beat !! They spent over three hours just fighting for our deal, not only that I got another car for myself that night , even with a better deal. If anyone is looking for a new or used car your journey must end at don mcgill Toyota of Katy!! I was given a red carpet experience only in reality shows !! You guys rock !!

Originally came to look at a used Sienna but ended up purchasing a used Odyssey. Had a great experience with David Sanchez and the entire staff. I had some concerns with the car but the staff addressed them right away and really worked with me to make sure I was comfortable with the purchase. David did not pressure me at all and made me feel like he was truly working to meet my needs in finding the right car at the right price. Awesome. I had been planning to buy a Tundra by the end of the year. I had checked with blue book and edmunds on the specific vehicles. I went to Toyota Of Katy on a Saturday afternoon and wanted to check the Tundra out. I told my salesperson, David Sanchez, that I was not ready to purchase a truck that day but wanted to see what was available on the truck and would it fit my needs. I told him I was also looking at the Ram1500. We discussed how the Tundra would fit my needs (family, pets, recreation,etc). David answered all of my questions and even wrote down my wish list. I got back with him a few days later. He remembered me and the options I was interested in. A week or so later I closed the deal with a fair price. David made sure that the items I wanted added to the truck were included in the deal. I had a 4 Runner that I traded in. I made sure that the price of the Tundra was not based on the trade-in. Everything was handled separately and to my satisfaction. I just had the accessories added to the truck (took a week for the special order items to come in) and as promised was at no extra charge. I am very happy with my truck and the service that David and the crew of Toyota of Katy provided.

A few years ago I bought a used Dodge Neon for my step-daughter from Don McGill. A few months after the purchase I discovered that the VIN number on the paperwork did not match the vehicle. I visited the dealership, about every week to ten days, for over 18 months trying to have the paperwork rectified. I was unable to sell the vehicle as a result of the fouled paperwork and insurance was also a problem.I spoke to Don McGill's finance and paperwork people, their managers, and numerous staff. I invested hours and hours and hours in the effort. They promised, lied, brushed off, and passed the buck. I received ZERO satisfaction; less than zero, they only aggravated me more and more. The state of Texas would only refer me to the dealership with the problem. When I finally invoked the help of my attorney Don McGill's manager barked at me that I was being a jerk by even mentioning lawyers and this was after a year and a half of suffering their hollow noise about correcting THEIR error.I never received an apology, corrected paperwork, any help or correction through Don McGill or their staff. Only ears full of arrogance, conceit, lies, deceit, and utter lack of any relevant help from Don McGill.Be aware. In my opinion, once Don McGill gets your money, you're on your own.Ultimately, my attorney located the owner of the other Dodge Neon with whom Don McGill had switched paperwork and the Houston Police Department put us in touch with the state official that corrected the paperwork.Please. Take your business anywhere but Don McGill. They do not deserve to be in business, in my opinion.

This is my second car buying from them and it was all okay until i realized that i can not trust the finance rep if i am to ever buy another car from there which is very debatable as of right now..Instead of giving me a discount for being a repeat customer and referring two people who bought cars there, he offered me an extra 2 yrs auto package. When i was ready to use the package, apparently no one at Don McGill seem to find it. I am very disappointed and i will not be doing any business or referring any more people to buy from there.

Needed a recall done I called Friday and I was told if I came in from 7-10 the car would be done by noon. I came in at roughly 8:30 and was told it would not be done by noon. At this point I've already had to pay for a hotel the night before and was told something different each day. Trevor and my salesman set me up in a rental car and took care of us, and it was done well before 5 we also got a car wash. Thankfully our potentially bad weekend was salvaged by these guys and we got everything we needed to get done Saturday done. I told Trevor I will most definitely be back for service. Would recommend these guys.

Ahmar was very welcoming and attentive as we discussed what type of car had brought me into the dealership. I explained looking for a fun sport type vehicle even better with a hardtop convertible. Needless to say Ahmar and manager (Delano) discussed and found me a great 2012 Infiniti G 37 Convertible with low miles and a great color combination. I was very happy with my experience and with the dealership overall. I would recommend Don McGill Toyota of Katy for all aspects of service...I have a FJ Cruiser that is regularly service there. While I did not come in for a used car, the used car area this time was the best car fit for my wish list. Top notch employees and I could not have asked for a better salesmen to work with me on this car purchase.

I bought a new Corolla at DON McGill Katy. The battery dead after a week. They said : " maybe you light up all night." I said :" I won't bother you If I light up all night. I will know the reason." They changed a new battery after two days. Then we had a flat tire in a month without nail and the like. the reason are pump and curve. The dealer said they don't care about tire because there is no warranty for tire. I feel bad. you know a brand new car fixed two time not in a month. I don't want Toyota car since then.

I would not recommended this dealer for one simple reason, they do not want to do business. They do not lower their vehicle prices a penny and you will never get a vehicle from them if you credit score is in the medium level. They trying to entangle to you even if you have a blank check from other bank and you are ready just to sign the check and get the car, simple. Probably this just happen to me but I want to share it. When you request a quote from internet I understand that you will receive a different price and not the same. What is the purpose to put that option online??????

Although we haven't purchased a vehicle (yet) from Don McGill Toyota of Katy, Robbie was incredibly helpful, not pushy or overbearing, and (for lack of a better word) hustled for us all day. We spent about 5 hours at this dealership test driving a half-dozen cars and he literally ran everywhere for us. He even let us drive his personal car because it was very close to what we were looking for! He was sprinting through the parking lot, through the lobby, in and out of other customers (safely) and was also helping them as well in the same professional manner. Keep in mind that it was about 99 degrees outside and Robbie was running through the car lot in the heat. He is working to find us the exact car we want since they didn't have it in stock at the time, and I really hope he does find us our next car. I will return to Don McGill if only because Robbie had earned our business as far as I'm concerned. Thanks Robbie! Keep up the good work, and drink some cold water!

I was a little intimidated thinking about buying my first car. I researched what I wanted and landed in the used lot of Don McGill Toyota Katy. And I am so happy I did. Cole made the experience great. He was very accommodating and helped me out every inch of the way. I left there felling like I got a really great deal and a really awesome car. I test drove and bought in the same day without feeling pressured or hassled. Overall, I am more than happy with the outcome. Dio never made me feel like I was speaking with or working with the stereotypical car sales man. He made me and my husband feel very comfortable buying a car. My husband can be very protective and can be real bulldog especially with outsiders and salesman types. We were all in agreement with the price, and gushed over how nice, and how much Dio worked with us on our purchase. I get buyers remorse very easily and I'll tell you I have a wonderful peace about what I purchased and who I purchased it from. What else can I say but thank you thank you. Kris actually added to the joy of my experience. What else can I say but too bad my car is going to last me for years to come. I don't feel intimidated anymore not with them. I will refer my friends and family to them if they find themselves in the market for a new or used car. Especially Dio and Kris ! Thanks guys for everything and I'll peek in and say hi at my next oil change.

The definition of dealership vultures. Of course they initially seem friendly and eager to help. I already anticipate on the monetary value lies. But what really got me was that after they received payment they took over four months to mail me my plates. The innuendo of lies, first they claim they never received payment-false, thank God my bank is up to par. then they claimed it was mailed-false they never even started the paperwork! then after they finally did mail my plates come to find out they never returned my plates off my trade in car!!! So now my license is suspended. Needless to say I would rather go to an auto shop that sells cheap cars but you know you're going to have to pay for repairs as oppose to Don McGill Toyota. Oh and the worst part was that their finance guy had the audacity to give me attitude for their incompetence!

An absolute disaster of an experience from the beginning. The pre-owned location is horrible, I was interested in the CTS-V they had on the show room floor. I called ahead of time to schedule a test drive, i drove from the galleria area on lunch to see the vehicle. Upon arrival at the time discussed for my test drive and review of the car, the salesman I scheduled the test drive with looked at me and said he "wanted to make sure I was a serious buyer before we test drove the car". How rude and quite unprofessional, we went on the test drive and once we returned things became increasingly worse from the service aspect. A day after discussing terms on the vehicle the salesman never returned my phone calls for an entire day. I repeatedly had to call him to get the ball rolling on the purchasing process. After speaking with a manager who wasn't much help, a new salesman finally got back to me at which point he tried to play the "we have someone else looking at the car as well so who ever signs first will get the car" game. I continued with the sale because I really wanted the car in the color that was being sold, that was the only reason. After purchasing the car they didn't even wash the car and only put 1/4th a tank of gas in the car. I've purchased many cars and never have I purchased a car that wasn't filled with a tank of gas at purchase, its quite tacky. Be aware that this car was the 2nd most expensive car on the entire lot. The finance department was even rude, she rushed us in and out, barely explaining the details of the financial terms and all of our options! She continued to complain that it was late and she was ready to go home! My salesman couldn't find the 2nd key to the car but assured me that he would find the key for me the next day. I never got a call regarding the key, 4 days later I called and spoke to the salesman's manager who assured me that the salesman would call me back by noon the following day and that at the least a new key would be made and provided. I haven't heard anything from them and that was 2 days ago. An absolutely horrible experience and I wouldn't advise anyone to shop here, they are unprofessional and at times extremely incompetent.

i will never come back here again...we have been getting the run around since Jan when i was put in my car....yes robbie and scott have done everything to keep me and my family in but we feel we have now been lied to....promises were made and not kept....we do not know who is lying to us but i am about to be without a car and no way to take my kids to and from.school and to the doctors....we have been told one thing and then another happens...i will never go back there

I am a return customer to this location. This was my second purchase, this time for a new vehicle. I did't want to spend the entire day like most places. We came in looking to purchase another Avalon. Courtney told us he would find "the one" and he did. On the first try! We gave him the sticker from our current Avalon showing the features we had and told him what additional features we wanted on the new car. The car he showed us was the only one we test drove and we purchased it the same day. Toyota sells itself and Courtney honed in on the features to get us to commit. Darius was fantastic! I walked into Don McGill with a list of cars that I had researched online at several dealerships. I needed a second car for my sons. I had visited another dealership to look at one of the cars on my list before coming to Don McGill. Darius made it clear that he was determined to help me find a car. He did not show irritation or frustration over my indecisiveness or my pages of notes. He found me a certified 2011 Toyota Corolla that fit my criteria of price, reliability, safety, and fuel efficiency. In addition to Darius winning personality and professionalism, I spoke to two finance agents (I took the car home the first night and bought a car the next day). Unfortunately, I can't remember the woman who explained everything to me the first night but she was great. Chris was who I met and closed the sale with the next day. My husband and I came to this dealership after receiving horrible customer service at the other Don McGill location, and we're so glad we did. Immediately walking in, we were greeted and paired up with Tom Munoz who was a fantastic salesperson. The first thing he did was to sit us down and actually listen to what we wanted in a vehicle. When my husband and I told him we wanted to look at Toyota Highlander Plus, he immediately took us over to the selection they had on hand. He answered every question we had. He knows the vehicles he sells which is awesome because it allows us to have more confidence in where we decided to buy our car. Unfortunately, the new 2013 models were a bit out of our price range. Tom knew how much my husband wanted the Highlander so he actually recommended for us to take a look at a used model which is something that didn't even occur to us. I'm so glad he did. Not only was the model almost brand-new (7,000 miles), it had an updated sound system, navigation system, and was the highest version of the Highlander-Limited. If we had bought a new model with similar features it would have set us back over $43,000. Tom helped us on the price, and we got our vehicle for almost Kelly Blue Book cost. He even sat us down to go over step by step regarding how the Toyota Used Car Certification works. If we had any questions, he patiently answered them. He even spoke to the people in the Financing Department to get us the best financing deal possible. I know this because I already got an outside financing prospectus with my credit union.When my husband and I wanted a few days to think the deal over, he never pressured us. He even told us that he was there to get us the best deal possible- the deal that made the most sense to us economically. When we even told him we were thinking of not getting an SUV but rather another sedan which would be cheaper, he gladly said he would help us find the best fit for us. That's great service right there. He's not your typical sales person pushing the highest priced vehicle on a buyer to make the most commission. He actually listens to what you want and tries to make it happen. He also has a great attitude and is very funny. Best of all, he makes the car buying process relatively painless. Definitely go to Tom if you're looking to get a car! You won't regret it. P.S. I'm sorry this is so long but I wanted everyone to know about the great service my husband and I received with Tom!

When I walked up to open the trunk on a Camry Hybrid, I heard someone say, "Let me open that for you." Courtney immediately opened the driver's door and puled the lever to open the trunk. He then asked me what I was interested in. His approach was friendly, and helpful. I explained to him that I was driving a "leased" Prius, and the lease was not up until June, but needed something with more Cargo space. I also told him that I needed it now, and would like to buy, but didn't want to pay a penalty for turning in my lease car early. He said he would check on that, and came back with the good news that they would work with me! And "they" did. He was courteous, answered my questions, found a Prius V that fit my needs, walked me through all of the finance details, answered all of my many questions, and treated me as if I were his "Mother"! I walked out of there several hours later, driving a 2013 Prius V. Courtney helped me move my personal belongings from the other Prius, and sent me off with a really good feeling that I had make the right choice! I will definitely reccommend him and Don McGill Toyota to my friends!

I've owned 2 vehicles, but this is the first vehicle I've bought for myself. My parents bought the others when I was younger, but it was time for a larger car. This was very stressful for me, but I felt Tom was very honest and upfront with all of the information I'd like to know about certain vehicles. He was honest and told me he didn't feel comfortable selling me a used Tahoe that I really liked because of the higher mileage because he knew this would soon be a vehicle I would grow into with my fiance, dog, and hopefully kids in the near future. I purchased a 2008 Toyota Sequoia, and I fell in love immediately! Tom knew what my budget was and pushed very hard to make sure my payments were affordable. I left there with an amazing Sequoia, a payment under what I orginally budgeted for, and plenty of room to grow into the car in the near future. I would definitely recommend any of my friends of family to Don McGill and to see Tom.

This was our first Toyota purchase, after a life long association with GMC and Chevrlolet. We did our research on the web and had pricing information, and then used the Toyota website to build the vehicle we were after. The dealer referral took us to Don McGill, and they were incredibly responsive in calling and setting up an appointment for the vehicle with specs that we wanted. At the dealership, the sales agent was friendly, knowledgeable, and listened very well to our needs. The exact vehicle we ended up wanting was not on the lot, but the agent worked to locate one in the metro area, and it was there for us to pickup at Don McGill within another day. The price was very good, we knew what the dealer invoice pricing was from our earlier web research, and the dealership cut us a very fair deal with minimal markup. We would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Toyota. Oh, and we LOVE the vehicle!!

My family is new in town and this dealership made us feel welcome. We are quite picky when it comes to buying a car and the staff is patient and hard working. We came to Don Mcgill at Katy to check out some Rav4's for me (a college student). It was to be my first car. After entering the dealership and driving around in our car to see what they had as luck would have it Robbie pointed us in the direction of their used rav4's. We stopped by and he went to meet us and showed us all the information we needed plus brought out 2 to test drive. After test driving a beige one that didnt feel right me he had actually gone around the dealership looking for anything even trade ins. Luckily it was amazing that someone had literally just traded in a beautiful 2007 black rav4 that hadn't even passed trough their inspection so we asked him to notify us when and if it would be ready for a test drive. This was on a friday so we left that afternoon and he called us early the next day and told us to come over as it was ready to see. We came and checked it out and loved it and eventually made an offer. What really sold me on buying here at Don Mcgill katy over some other deals around was literally Robbie. After over a year of checking out cars and taking my time to find the right rav4 I had always had either rude salesmen or pushovers. Robbie was enthusiastic, charismatic, super friendly, quite funny and honestly what made me decide to buy at that dealership. If anyone would need to buy a car PLEASE choose Robbie hes awesome!!!! As for Robbie, if you happen to ever read this THANK YOU!!!! for helping me with my first car and for a great shopping experience I will never forget it and sorry for making you walk and run around so much around the dealership :) If there is anyone I know who would want to buy a car ill send them to you. Happy with the car I purchased. Sales rep was not friendly and had an attitude. After we told him we were maybe interested in the car, he did not seem to care about us at all. He specifically told us that he did not need our sale, that he sales 15-20 cars/month and showed us proof. The sales rep was not honest.

I meet with Tim Fogarty and he showed concren for both my wants and needs. We picked out a prius c and bought it. The experienc ewas incomparible to any I had had before. The salesman was extremely pushy and unprofessional. When trying to negotiate a deal, he initially told me he was not going to ask his manager. Then when he finally decided to ask his manager ( he wanted me to do the talking which I didn't mind). Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the offer. So the unprofessional salesman threw his hands in the air and walked away yelling "I'm through with this" and never returned. Talk about poor customer service.

I had a great experience at this dealership. The last dealership I went to were no where near as friendly and warm as they were at Don Mcgill toyota Katy. They were very patient and were willing to work around my budget. The product itself was great and of good quality. They offered alot more than the other dealership I was at in terms of free maintainance and such. They also gave me discounts when I went to purchase accessories for my vehicle. The facility was clean and looked great. They had a waiting area where you can watch TV or read magazines as you wait. Si Nguyen offered me food and drinks while I was there and always checked to see if I was comfortable and kept me updated on the progress of the paperwork. The whole process from start to finish was a pleasant experiece for me and i would definitely recommend them to others.

From the second we called the dealership, we had a pleasant and very professional experience with the dealership. We were eventually contacted by Jacob V. stating he will be our Salesman for the Sequoia that we were interested in purchasing. He described how the process was going to work and that the vehilce we were interested in on Friday via internet and phone, that it was still capable to be sold to others that may want it on Friday. He stated he would call me at 8:30pm that Friday night and provide a status of the vehicle. He did exactly that. He called at 8:30pm exactly. That prompt service in backing up what he said he was going to do really solidified and set the presedence on how our experience was goign to be when we visit the dealership the next day. When we arrived at the dealership, Jacob was right there to greet us, bring us to his desk, review our reason for coming, and make sure we were all on the same page. He was very curtious and interacted with our 4 year old daughter to make sure she felt important and involved in this transaction. The whole process was precise, efficient, and pleasant from Jacob, his Sales Manager, and Kris Tate, the Business Manager we completed the deal with. When we are in the market for another car, we will consider and reach out to Jacob V. at Don McGill Toyota in Katy, TX first!!!

I purchased a certified Toyota Yaris from this dealer and since I live near-by (about 5-10 miles) I usually get my service done here. On September 21, 2012 while practicing parallel parking, I found my steering wheel getting stiff at lower speeds after minutes of continuous parallel parking trials. At times, it was so stiff that I had to put all my energy to get the car out of parallel parking spot and then after driving straight at slightly higher speed, steering wheel used act normal. This happened quite a few times, so I took the car to this place on Saturday September 22, 2012. The service rep told me that they dont have technicians on that day, so they can check only on Monday and asked me to either leave the vehicle there or come back on Monday. I asked him, as my work place is about 35 miles away and since I leave early in the morning and return late in the evening, I wanted to know if they can provide me the replacement car as they mentioned during purchase of certified car. He said, they dont provide any replacement car even if I had purchased a new car from them and even after arguing with the Sales manager, the best they said they could do was to let me rent a car with their employee rate from Toyota-Rent-A-Car location. Finally, since one my friend offered to give a ride to work, I told them I will leave my vehicle and would like a call from Service Manager Chad on Monday (he was not available on Saturday). The service rep said that he will leave a note to the manager to call me with the updates on vehicle. I did not receive any call from him as I waited and then I called him around 10:30 AM to get an update, no answer or response to my message. Finally, I got a call from Johnny around 12PM and mentioned to me that they could not find any problem and could to duplicate the issue and asked me to drive with the technician to determine the issues. I said, since I am at work, I can get off at only after 5 and with rush hour traffic and all I would not be able to reach the location until an hour later. He told me that the technicians who work from morning will leave by 5PM, but will have other set of technicians after 5 PM until 8PM and they can ride with me. I asked him couple of times to make sure if they will be able to diagnose the problem if they ride the car with me. He said yes. I left work early and then went to dealer ship around 5:40 PM and have a drive with the technician. I was told by then available service reps, that Johnny has left for the day and so does the technicians. They all left around 5PM. I explained to him about the conversation I had with Johnny and I was told differently on phone. When Johnny was contacted, he told the sales rep entirely different story about the conversation. I got pissed off and told the service rep that I will never come back to that location ever.This was not the only time, they have behaved unprofessionally and neither cared about the customers. I had been to this dealer a week early to get the TPMS warning reset, as TPMS light came on couple of days after the oil change from this dealer. When I reached the location around 5:10 PM on Saturday, the service rep told me that all the technicians have left for the day and cannot reset it and asked me to go somewhere else to get air for my car tires. I was left speechless as he could have just taken my car to the back and filled the air, if he was any good service rep. I have decided to never go to either one of their locations in Houston/Katy.

I was out with my 17 year old son looking for his first new car. Johnny was there to help us every step of the way in this process. We told him the vehicle we were interested in and he had my son test drive two vehicles while he got our old truck's trade in value and ran numbers for us on both vehicles. I had submitted a high rating via this website back in January 2012 for that purchase, starting with the pleasant experience our salesman Jacob Vailiaveettil had provided throughout the experience and purchase.As we have teenagers, recently I again needed to look for another vehicle this same year and again just 6 months later, we purchased another Certified Pre-Owned Toyota Highlander in July 2012 - again from Don McGill Toyota of Katy [Houston, TX] and again from salesman Jacob Vailiaveettil. Again, with Jacob Vailiaveettil [sales representative] we were very pleased with his attentiveness, his respect for our time, and overall his concern for the ultimate customer experience. Clearly, Jacob Vailiaveettil understands the importance of customer service. I would highly recommend anyone looking for Toyota vehicles to go to Don McGill Toyota of Katy [Houston, TX] as you will likely experience the same level of professionalism. And even though many of their sales staff surely are trained in customer service and respect, I would ask for availability of salesman Jacob Vailiaveettil.Since our 1st Highlander purchase mentioned above, we have also had the first service department experience [routine fluid maintenance] and we must comment also with a very high degree of satisfaction. The very friendly service staff and overall attention to the customer doesn't just happen and particularly I would like to call out Eddie Marlow as he went out of his way to guide my wife through the service experience to the point where she was significantly impressed. Lastly, I was also pleased to get a return call from General Manager Michael Hartmann as I called him to thank him. Clearly Michael Hartmann is providing leadership and setting the tone for the sales and service teams to take care of the customer, one day at a time. I also felt the process with Vada Caccamo [finance manager] was easy compared to past experiences we've had with other dealerships. I was pleased that Ms. Caccamo seemd to respect us as the customer and she was very prepared and answered any questions we had. I was also introduced Sales Manager Delano Palmer in the process which was a good way to close the overall transaction. Sometimes the salesman in these deals has their sales manager somewhere behind the scenes but not at Don McGill Toyota of Katy and Delano Palmer was front and center supporting Jacob and us as a customer. We were very impressed with both vehicle purchases, the 2nd purchase was just as good or maybe even better than the 1st purchase and we are very pleased with what we're expecting in the way of future service department visits.

I was referred to Mr. Joseph Hadi, he is awesome! I purchased a pre-owned Corolla and was there less than 4 hours! Totally amazing! I walked into Don McGill with 45 minutes to buy a truck. I walked into dealership and told sales rep what I wanted to pay and handed him a print out from another dealership. After a few minutes the deal was done and I was out the door. I got a GREAT price on the 2012 Tacoma Double Cab w/ Sport Package. There were 3 Toyota dealerships in the Houston area that were willing to sell me the Tacoma at that price, Don McGill was the only one with the truck and the package I wanted ready. When I knew it was time to start looking for a new car, Don McGill was the first place I went to. I was a little nervous of that "used car salesmen" stereotype and was afraid that they would try to eat me alive like vultures...but that wasn't my experience at all here. Tim Fogarty approached me with nothing but willingness to help and not push. He made the experience not seem so scary like I had been picturing it my head, and instead he made me feel very comfortable. I told him I was looking for a 4Runner and what my price range was. I test drove some 4Runners they had, but unfortunately none of them really fit me. I guess I didn't really know what I was looking for after all, but thought I did. Tim was awesome because he read me like a book! He could tell that my husband and I were a young couple in our late 20's and wanting to start a family. After going home disappointed that I didn't find anything, Tim called me the next day and said he had something "in mind" for me. I thought it wouldn't hurt to go and look to see what he was talking about. My husband and I drove over there the next day after work and Tim had pulled up a Highlander Hybrid for me to test drive. I thought, It's no 4runner, but I'll give it a try. I LOVED IT!!!! It was exactly what I needed, and the fact that it was a hybrid was a plus!!! I knew that was the car for me thanks to Tim! Also, thanks to Chris Tate in financing, we were able to finance it to where it would be in my price range. I definitely recommend Don McGill Toyota of Katy and appreciate how effortless Tim made the experience for me. I can't thank you enough!

On Saturday, I worked up my nerve to go to Don McGill Toyota. The first person I spoke with was Berwyn Lagrue. WOW! He made me feel welcome at the dealership. I dropped my car at this location at 8am for checking brake, oil change and passenger seat wasn't secure. He said I have to left my car there for all day. But John Fedigan has never call me since 8am until 2:30pm to updated what is going on and how's it done so far. I called and left few messages, he never call back until 3:30. He said on the phone that "the oil change is done, now a mechanic guy check a brake." I asked when is would be done to pick up my car. He said "I don't know". Then 5pm, he called and said "Brake is checked, everything OK. Seat is done. You can pick up your car now" I came at 6pm to pick up my car, John told me that oil change don't need it until 10K miles. When I dropped my car, he checked the mileage but didn't say any word at all about this. Brake wasn't check either because brand new car. Seat didn't touch because defected from manufactory, they couldn't do anything. Why Johnny said on the phone everything is done, everything is checked and OK? How dare he lies so easy to the customer like that? How the Don McGill Toyota in Katy trained their employees treated the customer? I am very displease this dealer. They also cheated the Toyota's main office. How? They billed the Toyota my oil change, part replace and maintenance but didn't touch my car at all. I told them give me another statement written that they didn't change oil for my car, didn't check brake, didn't do anything from check-in at 8am to 6pm on April 3rd, 2012.

Went in on a Saturday to look at a 2011 camry I saw on the internet. Descent price and wanted to purchase the vehicle. Took it for a test drive, then headed over to the finance dept and the total cost of the vehicle jumped up $3,000. This was because Marcus(financing guy) put a $2500 extended warranty and a gap premium that I did not ask for . Did not even explain to me or give me an option if I wanted those. That is what started it. Then Ricky said they were going to buff out the car, waited 2 hrs, and came back to me and told the guy who does the buffing wasn't there. A whole 2 hrs? really?I told Ricky I did not want the car and I wanted to return it and he said I couldn't. I then emailed the GM and informed me the deal wasn't final and I could go ahead and get my trade in back. Overall this experienced sucked and is somewhat true what they say about car dealerships. They really are trying to get their moneys' worth.

I was in the market for a used truck and had found several on the internet that I was interested in. Don McGill was my first and last stop. Robb Snowbarger met me and showed me the vehicle, followed by a test drive. The vehicle was prepped well and drove well. Robb made the closing quite painless and did his best to get me into finance in a reasonable time. Even finance was quick and efficient. Having bought a number of cars over the years I have to say that Don McGill provided one of the best all around experiences. Friendly, no pressure, great deal!

I had heard about Don McGill Toyota (Katy, TX), and the quality of their staff and extensive selection of used cars. The reputation proceeded itself! I was in the market for a used SUV for my wife, and after 2 visits found exactly what we wanted. I have purchased 6-7 cars in the past and have seen the best and the worst of it all. Rob Snowbarger (Sales Rep at Don McGill Katy) was by far the most professional, helpful, car salesman I have ever dealt with. He started by helping my wife and I determine what our needs/wants were then fitting that to what would be most reasonable, and fuel efficient SUV for us. He set up test drives for 6 different vehicles showing us each and every feature and creature comfort available. From New SUVs to old, Rob knew his stuff.We ended up buying a 2010 Lexus GX350, with the Toyota Premium Care package. We couldnt be happier. Rob has called us on multiple occasions to insure our satisfaction and even brought our license plates to us at the house when they came in. I went in on an internet quote, pricing was in line for the purchase of the new vehicle. We searched cars and found one, agreed upon purchase price and this process was pleasant. Then, the first trade-in appraisal came 7000 under blue book, first "manager" visit got it up 2K, second got it up another 4K (perspective, 27K trade, then 29K trade, then 33K trade). 20 minutes, 6K movement on a 30K purchase, at that point, trust is out the window ... (yes, they will know who I am posting based off that unless they do the same thing multiple times a day!) Opportunity was given to concede $500 on the overall purchase price, manager came over, and could not make the deal, so I left, wasting hours of my time. Call received two hours later, asking for my business and to honor the pricing I requested, I declined, they will never get any of my business or the business of anyone that I know, speak to, or make a general comment on businesses with ethics in the city. STAY AWAY, it may sound good on the new vehicle, but they'll make up thousands on paper. I went to another dealer, their first trade was at 33, same pricing on vehicle, negotiated fairly from there and I closed within an hour. BE CAUTIOUS, purchase price is only one aspect, and these guys plan to and will rob you if you're not mindful of ALL their tactics

Even though the car I had picked out got sold before I could finalize the deal, the Certified Used Car Manager helped to get me a better one with less miles at the same price. The Certified Used Car Salesman, Jacob V., was very helpful in getting the second car set aside so it was not even listed into the dealer inventory and he located an extra key fob and key. Those are particularly expensive for this model, so that saved me money, too. I also did not want the "blue steel" packages, so he got the price lowered for that amount and included them (essentially for free). Jacob listens to what you want, is truthful about what he does not know, and finds out quickly for you. He is interested in what you want, not just moving the iron off the lot. Would buy my next one from this store,

Buyer Beware!!! I bought a 2010 camry with 19,000 miles on it 8 months ago, and I have had to take it in 3 times. The first time was an oil change, second a tire rotation and of course wanting to take care of my vehicle I didnt mind but the last time I took it in last week for a $40 oil change, I ending up paying $380!!!!!!!!I bought a camry because I heard they last forever, well I'm sure they do if you have to continuously put money into them. I am a single mother who simply just cannot afford to shell out a few hundred dollars especially when it was more than 7x what I thought it would be, really the car is as 2010 how much could it possibly need.I was told at the dealership that I needed to pay for this maintenance package to upkeep my car and being a woman, I am afraid of my car breaking down, after all it is extremely dangerous on the Houston freeways. Anyways here it is a week later, the car is worse than when I brought it in. Once the car reaches 60 mph the whole front end starts shaking, it pulls to the right, there is a clip missing from the back seat so I can't put my son back there, the cd has never worked and you would think after paying so much money they could have atleast ran my car through a $5 car wash. I have had to borrow my moms car to drive to work because the front end shaking is scary so now what am I to do-deal with it evidently.

My quality of life depended on buying a car when I did this weekend, and they knew this. There was a 2011 Ford Fiesta that was already at a low price and listed at value and they still swung the price a little lower so that I could manage it and take the car I absolutely wanted with all my heart home. This was the first car I had bought for myself, and rather than Donald saying no you can't afford that car here let me show you something older and less desirable they worked with me to get the Fiesta. Then on top of that the dealership was able to offer me better financing than the third party loan I had come into the dealership approved for with many more benefits than the nothing extra my pre-approved loan came with for about the same monthly payment. I had been to other dealerships in the area before, and I am very sore that I did not go to Don Mcgill Toyota of Katy sooner. I was in an out fairly quick, everyone we spoke with was fantastic at what they did, and they made me so happy I literally cried in the dealership.

I was rear-ended and chose this dealership (close to my job). I stumbled upon problems with the other person's insurance and/or rental car agent not doing their job correctly (neither one claims accountability), putting me in a tremendous bind and controversial situation taking time from my new job! When I called this Director Michael Schwenn to see if he could help, for I was in tears over the injustice, he was such a warm and caring individual that stepped in to assist in resolving the matter, treating me so well that I thought I was back in the 70s where customer service was top notch! It was a refreshing feeling to find a company that cared for my customer satisfaction. I found the overall experience very satisfying. As a customer I'm always looking for the best $ deal, but in reason I was OK with the price. But mostly starting and ending with Jacob Vailiaveettil [sales representative] I was very pleased with his attentiveness, his respect for our time, and overall his concern for ultimate customer experience. I will soon need another vehicle and I expect to go right back to him if I'm looking for a Toyota. Clearly, Jacob Vailiaveettil understands the importance of customer service. I also felt the process with Vada Caccamo [finance manager] was easy compared to past experiences we've had with other dealerships. I was pleased that Ms. Caccamo seemd to respect us as the customer and she was very prepared and answered any questions we had. The quality of customer service I received at Don McGill Toyota of Katy was far beyond the already positive reviews I read prior to going. Upon arriving we were greeted by Cornelius Jones who took the time to ask specifically what we were looking for and any features or important ideas we wanted in a vehicle. Cornelius took the time to research and find out exactly what he could do and work out for us. Not once during the process did I feel left out of the loop or disadvantaged, he walked us through each detail and explained any question we had. From the first meet and greet until he passed the keys onto us, he truly did indeed go over and beyond to make the sales experience an enjoyable and uncomplicated process, I am very grateful for the positive experience.Moving into the finance and paperwork part Alvaro was extrememly patient and knowledgeble. He took the time to explain each paper, each section, and each process. He went over our options and let us decide from there what we wanted and any details. We had already received a great deal of customer service and after meeting with Alvaro for the final process it was extended from there.I would truly recommend this dealership to anyone who is in the market for a Toyota. I went into the dealership knowing what automobile I was interested in (the Toyota Prius v). Randy was my salesperson and he made my stay at a minimum. They did not have the Prius v with the features or color I was looking for at the dealership. Randy found the exact car at another dealership. The next morning, he drove to the other dealership (over 70 miles away)and picked up my car up. I started the process after lunch on one day and had my car after lunch the next day. I had already procured financing through my local credit union, but Randy suggested that Toyota Financial could beat the credit union's rate - and they did. I only marked the Price as good because it was the full MSRP, which I can understand for a new car that is in demand. I will be taking my new Prius v to the dealership for all maintenance as I have used them for many years before.

Buck was great answering all the questions we had and proved to be very knowledgeable with the specific car we were interested in. Highlighted all important features to me and my wife. We are a Toyota family!! Recently, we purchased our 4th Toyota with the help of Phillip Caffey (our sales rep) at Don McGill Toyota in Katy. He was very friendly and sincerely appreciated us coming to Toyota to purchased our next car. Phil treated us with a caring professional attitude and provided us with excellent customer service. We were impressed that Phil did not pressure us, but intensely listened to our concerns and was very knowledgeable and helpful about how Toyota could serve us. With Phil's insight to our needs, we were able to make an informed decision. We value Phil's responsiveness and the way he conduct business. Initially, we were on a fact finding trip, however, our overall experience with Phil was remarkable and the price was right, so, we purchased a 2012 Toyota that same day!!

Phillip was an very helpful sales person. He wanted to understand what our needs were and then try to match those needs to what we were looking for. Originally we were looking at a Camry XLE but after learning about our needs he recommended a Camry SE which saved us thousands of dollars. Additionally he took the time to walk us through everything that the car did and provided us what the differences were between the Camry and the other cars we were looking at (Accord, Ford, etc.)

My wife and I recently went to Don McGill Toyota in Katy looking to trade in two vehicles and buy one new Highlander and a used Corolla. My wife and I are very experienced car buyers and have a very low tolerance with anyone who plays games. This purchase was going to be our second experience with this dealer. We came back to Don Mcgill because of our first buying experience with them and the maintenance service we've received had been very good.We met Ricky Barake (our sales rep) at the show room and from the very start he was cordial, considerate, and to the point. We explained what we were looking for and immediately he started to work with us in finding a viable solution and developing the deal. Ricky was forthcoming with information and we were able to have very professional discussions concerning what each party was going to be able to do. Ricky navigated us through negotiating process efficiently and effectiviely. As we negoitated the deal, we were always treated with respect from Don McGill's sales managment. I sincerely believe we reached a fair deal for both parties.What has really impressed me, was the service quality we received after we had reach the trade in and puchase agreement. Al in the Finance office who handled the sale purchase, warrenty, and title paperwork. Lincoln in the Parts department. The body shop individuals that preped the used Corolla. The individuals who did the final prep for both vehicles. Ricky, who was always there working in the background to make sure everything was meeting his and our expectations.And finially, Don McGill's management who actually went beyond my expectations, to meet their own expectations. Their actions have set themselves above any dealership I've ever dealt with in my 30 years of car ownership.

I'm ecstatic to have been referred to Robb Snowbarger at Don McGill Toyota of Katy by several friends! I called Robb in advance to introduce myself and discuss my needs; Robb was extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable on the telephone. I felt no pressure to do so but I scheduled a convenient appointment for a later date. Before my appointment (a week or so later) I called Robb several times asking questions, and Robb answered them immediately and courteously with as much detail as I requested, and invited me to call anytime with questions. When I arrived for my appointment, Robb was promptly waiting and we discussed several vehicles and my numerous questions, which Robb again answered quickly, accurately and professionally. I never felt any pressure to purchase a vehicle or make a decision during any of our encounters. I narrowed my choices to two vehicles, we discussed the pros and cons of each based on my needs, and I initially planned to test drive both Toyota vehicles. My first choice was the 2012 Highlander, and Robb showed me several models and explained options available in each. Once I settled on the Limited model, Robb secured the keys and showed me the equipment and demonstrated how each item worked to my complete satisfaction before I test drove the vehicle. Once I drove the 2012 Highlander Limited, I had no desire to test drive any other and we returned to the dealership. I wanted to trade a previously owned vehicle, so Robb had my trade-in evaluated and we successfully negotiated a final price to my complete satisfaction. Having purchased numerous vehicles over the years through many dealers and sales representatives, I was completely amazed and happy with my choice of Robb Snowbarger and Don McGill Toyota of Katy. I also requested Marcus Shepard to handle the financing and paperwork of my Highlander. Marcus could not have been more professional or courteous, even with my numerous questions. He answered each of them accurately and efficiently, explained my options in detail, and put me completely at ease. I could not have been more fortunate to have Robb and Marcus take care of me, and I felt as though I was one of their family members, even though we had not met previously. When I finished signing everything, I had a complete packet of information, all manuals, a schedule of Toyota recommended services, complete warranty information, a tentative maintenance service appointment along with keys and a full tank of gas. I can't thank Robb and Marcus enough for such honesty, professionalism and courtesy. I have and would recommend them to anyone thinking about purchasing a vehicle. Since my purchase date, I returned to Don McGill Toyota of Katy to pick up my registration and license plates. The service department was exceptional and graciously attached my new license plates quickly and efficiently, without an appointment and with no waiting involved. I can't say enough about the entire staff, and I know I can expect the same excellence and professionalism at future visits. Robb and Marcus are exceptional assets and representatives of Don McGill Toyota of Katy - thanks for a wonderful experience.

I had a fabulous experience when my husband and I were looking for a car in August 2011. We knew we wanted a Toyota Camry and had been looking at several dealerships online. I was 9 months pregnant and NOT trying to "haggle" pricing. Daryl "Chino" Nguyen listened to what we were looking for and the price we wanted... and we ended up driving away with a FABULOUS HYBRID. Something we didn't think was in our price range! I've sent 2 other people to him already.We live way out in Pearland, and I would drive over there in a heartbeat for the same experience.

Our daughter's car was hit in the Katy Mills parking lot 6 days before she was leaving for college. Brian Schwinn and the rest of the body shop crew were so efficient and so willing to go the extra mile for us that her car was fixed and looked brand new the day before she left for college. They were very professional and very considerate of the situation and worked with us every step of the way to make a stressful time less stressful!!

My wife and I have purchased two new Tundras from this Dealer. Craig was very easy to deal with and he knew his product very well. One of the best things we enjoyed was the easy non haggle pricing. One thing i hate is sitting at a dealer and dickering over prices and wasting our whole day. Don Mcgill has a beautiful dealership and the wife loves the free lattes they have on site. Long story short is that we will continue to buy Toyota products from this dealership. Just wish they would come out with a new Supra!! :)

I was extremely nerveous about purchasing a vehicle and not knowing what to expect but dealing with Robb has changed my mindset...I did not know there were dealers that we not pushing you into a vehicle, actually I think my best friend was pushing me more than he was and Robb told her to stop and allow me to just go at my own pace. Upon arriving to the dealership to start my paper work - Robb and Manager of location (James) came up to me and reassured me that everything would go smoothly and to just relax and if a deal happens it happens...WOW! really am I really at a dealership? Once I had driven the vehicles that Robb felt were best suited for me (from the description of the things that I told him that I was looking for in a vehicle) he walked me over to Marcus who was just as nice and who also explained in detail what options were best for me, went over all the documents that I was signing and if I had any problems or questions to please contact him. He made sure that before I signed everything that I felt right about signing and just really made me feel like he cared - last dealership I dealt with they just gave me all kinds of forms to sign and just briefly went over the documents. Once everything was signed and done - Manager came over to make sure everything was ok and it was just a very overall great feeling to walk in to a dealership thinking and feeling one way but leaving having been totally and completly wrong! These 3 guys have all know each other for years and to walk in and just feel like you are going to be totally taken car of with such a HUGE purchase was AWESOME. I would highly recommend this dealership and these employees they make you feel like you are family and not just a sale to them ... how many place make you feel that way. I am going to send everyone I talk to over to see Robb :) I think these guys knowing each other for so many years and the way that they all work together just made me feel more at easy and not like I was speaking with strangers. Thanks for an AWESOME expierence and one that I will totally never forget or stop telling people about for a long time.

Don McGill takes the cake in the rotten customer service category. Well, I honestly dont know where to start. Don McGill successfully stole all the joy from my first car buying experience. The Dealership lied to me, put me through the ringer and cost me an additional $100 in gas. This story is so bad you will think I am making it up but it truly happened to me and I have witnesses to back it up. The whole thing started on a Saturday when I called Don McGill about a Toyota Matrix I found online that was listed at a good deal. I worked everything out over the phone with my sales man and got the terms with in my liking. Then I drove from Conroe to Katy in a car without AC in Houstons August Heat at 5pm in the evening, and upon my arrival I was told the car that I wanted to buy had been damaged when it was sent to detailing. Somehow they had managed to put a major dent in the passenger side fender, door and completely rip the side view mirror off. So for the next 4 hours we haggled over other car deals, none of which were the same or even comparable to the deal we had worked out over the Matrix that they had wrecked. I kept insisting that they just fix their mistake and get me the matrix in the condition it had been in before. The dealership then had the guts to ask me how much I was willing to pay to help fix the car The car they had wrecked. I could not believe this (I should have taken my keys at this point and left, but I didnt). Finally they agree to fix the car and tell me it would be done in 2 days. Being a bit on the pessimistic side, I said I would come and get it on Wednesday (3 business days after the sale).I signed all the paper work and gave them a check for my down payment (which they said they would not cash until the deal was done and I had my car). On Wednesday I called my sales man and he told me the car would not be ready until Thursday. Then on Thursday after the dealership had cashed my check , he called and told me it would not be ready until Friday. Then on Friday I showed up at the dealership and insisted on seeing the car, because at this point I was a little weary that they had even started the work. The car was baking after being painted and a young guy named Kris in the Body shop preceded to argue with me about how my demands for my car were unprecedented and there was no way he could finish it that day (let me reiterate how rude and snotty this young man was with me, making it out that this whole ordeal was somehow my fault). At this point they have cashed my check and I am quite insistent that they give me a car to drive, so they gave me a little Kia to borrow. However, the car had less than a quarter tank of gas in it, not even enough to get me home to Conroe, much less back on Saturday to pick up my car. I had plans Saturday morning, so later that afternoon I called and was informed my car was ready for pick up. When I arrived at the dealership, everybody rushed around so much it was hard to think straight and at this point I am so frustrated I can barely keep my wits about me, so when they gave me my loan papers and the certification information, I asked is there anything else that I need and when they said no and gave me my keys I was so glad to get out of there. The joy was completely gone when I got in my new car and realized they never finished detailing it out (it was filthy, the upholstery had pink goop all over the backseat) and the gas tank was on E with the light on. My aunt was with me through this whole thing and told me she would buy me a tank of gas and it would just be easier to clean it myself then to take the chance that they would wreck it again trying to detail it out, so we just left. Once I arrived at home and things had settled down a bit I realized, I was driving an illegal car, because the dealer had not given me temporary tags. This issue has yet to be resolved and the more I call them the more I get ignored...WHATEVER U DO.... NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DEAL... DONT GO TO DON MCGILL!!!! EVER!!!

This service department is outstanding! We purchased two vehicles there in the last three years. We have only needed to return for routine service,and every time they are quick and efficient, going out to their way to serve you. One time Joe even came over to the wait area to let me know my car was ready before the cashier called my number to let me know my car was ready. It would have been only another couple of minutes, but wow - that is service!!! This last time I had a couple of questions to ask about pricing on the spoiler I damaged, but he made sure that my car was first put in the queue for the oil change and inspection before answering so that I would have a minimal wait. I love this place!! They value my time.

This is my fourth purchase from this dealer. It has always been a simple straight forward transaction. They are always fair and strive to make the customer happy. The service department has always provided friendly quality service. I would recommend this dealer always. I bought a GMC and was happy to get it off my hands with less than 30k miles and fully paid. One reason was the mpg was way below what was stated. The biggest reason was the service department was awful.

Bought a 2007 Toyota Sequoia. Great vehicle but turned out to be stolen. Had to surrender it. Don McGill has done nothing about it leaving me to hold all of the financial responsibility and fall out. Has been going for 9 months and it still not over.We had the DPS show up at our house to surrender the vehicle. We have had to retain an attorney. Don McGill said that they would swap out our vehicle or buy us out of the vehicle (either ever happened). They gave us a piece of junk loaner and then took it back once we got tired of waiting and filed sued against them. We had to rent a vehicle out of our pocket from then on as well as continue to pay the payment on the now impounded vehicle. We had to continue insuring the impounded vehicle as well as pay the towing and $20/day for the impound storage.Don McGill of Katy has done nothing to resolve this situation theyrefuse to take responsibility for the vehicle the situation or the financial situation and strain it has put on me and my family.I will never do business with Don McGill again and I advise you to do the same. Customer service is not even in the book.

After recently totaling my 2008 Charger, I was in a time constraint to obtain a new vehicle. Check out Honda in Spring Branch & the Sales Manager was kind of a at#$%. After lunch checked out this dealer on a whim, since it was close to home. Don was not pushy and really catered to what my needs were and what I wanted. Stayed within the budget I had in mind. I was in my new 2011 Camry in less than 3.5 hours. He is a jewel to work with and this dealer should value him!

They violate the consumer predatory law in Texas bad with there lies and deception., the kept me down there all day for 2 days and than had me to come back only to lie again, I would not recommend this dealer ship to anyone. The just of this is we made a deal on one car and they told me I had to come up with more money, so I came up with more than they aske for and then they said I change my mind because I will lose 300.00 on this deal and the manager is not going to sign off but I got this other car you can have right now I thought that was just not right.
