I recently purchased my 2008 Passat Lux after my 2002 VW Passat was totaled. It was a tough experience as the latter was my first car, and it was going to be hard to top it. It took 2 months to find a newer car, and Jodie Payne made that happen. I felt as if the entire sales department had my back, honestly. Whenever a potential car was traded in, I was notified and came in for a test drive. Eventually, the 2008 Passat won my heart, with the help of Jodie and the service Department, managed by Jeff W. Furthermore, both Brian Price (GM) and Brian (service) spoke with me personally about the vehicle, the servicing it needed, and what they could do to further accommodate me. The entire experience was smooth and not what I expected from purchasing a car from a dealership - my first car purchase was from a private seller, so this was a new experience for me altogether. As a 20 year old college student, I can say that I was treated with 100% honesty and fairness. There were no scams or gimmicks, no shadiness, and moreover, I got the perfect car out of it. Kudos to all at Faulkner VW! Highly recommend. I encourage anybody to check out their inventory, stop in for a test drive, or get their car serviced here FIRST!

Although I did not end up buying a car from Faulkner, I briefly wanted to share my experience. Having dealt with many dealerships in the car buying process, I particularly appreciate it when I come across sales people who strike the right balance of friendly and professional. Jodie was awesome to work with, the deal that was advertised was great, and the car was actually there (I can't say the same for some other dealerships). Ultimately, I wound up buying a different brand of car from another dealership, but if I find myself in the market for a VW, I will definitely go back and see Jodie.

Mr. Shane Cook was the consummate professional. He and the mechanics ensured I was kept appraised of the service on my vehicle. When the replacement of the timing belt was estimated at five hours, Shane immediately offered a loaner vehicle. Shane ensured I knew what issues needed to be addressed at that time and recommended future timelines for replacement of tires. In the past, I was told that oil changes for my diesel Sportwagen should be done at 5,000 or 7,500 which was not in line with the service manual. Shane was precise and extremely knowledgeable of the required inspections.

I really liked the car (GTI) and I was willing to travel 100 miles. I got in touch with them they agreed on the price and I gave them my credit card for deposit. I was all exited and happy after long search for the perfect car.Few hours before my arrival at the dealership I got a phono call from Sales Manager (Mr. Brian Price) who stated that to get the price that I want I will have to Finance through them or pay additional $1000. Same sales Manager who was aware that I'm going to finance the car with my bank not VW once he was taking my credit card info over the phone few days earlier. BE AWARE this dealer is a perfect example of Unfair sales practices!!! I assume they reached monthly goal of selling cars and realized that they can sell my car at the better price.I will do everything in my power to warn prospective buyers - do not do business with VW Faulkner don't waist your time!

I purchased a used 2008 WRX from Faulkner in October 2014. I made my first payment before I was even able to drive my car off the lot, due to lack of title. I purchased the extended warranty, which is a joke and a large waste of money. Two months after purchase, I found through another dealership that my car was sold to me with the fan hose and A/C cable disconnected, causing my car to overheat, costing me over $200.00 to repair. My fiance' brought in his new 2015 STI for repairs, and he was charged $465 for parts and labor that should have been covered under warranty. The car was also marked in the Subaru system because we installed Hella horns and a new stereo system, and we warned that we should have them install all parts due to warranty issues. This is against the law, and has been reported to both BBB and Subaru of America. I highly recommend that you do not purchase your vehicle from this location, for the customer service department is beyond rude and hard to work with. Service after the sale is not their main priority, and I refuse to deal with ANY Faulkner location because of all the issues we have encountered. NO STARS.

As a single father of 3 kids who are very active, I needed to upgrade from a small sedan to a more roomy SUV. I found a Honda Pilot being sold through Faulkner VW that had very low mileage and a good price so I decided to trade my car in and go for the Pilot. Jodie was probably the best person I have ever dealt with in purchasing a car. It did not feel at all like the typical "salesperson" that we all hear about. She was honest, friendly and very easy to talk to. Looking back, I probably could have gotten more for my trade based on the blue book value but all the positive aspects to the transaction greatly outweigh that part. Ed Post was also wonderful to work with on the finance piece. He wasn't pushy or trying to get me to spend money on waste. He explained what was available and allowed me to make a decision without pressure. Overall, it was definitely a great experience.

My first visit to CVM Subaru was at the end of this pas summer. Jessica Evans assisted my family with professionalism even though I was just starting my search at the time for a car for my son. She was pleasant, not pushy, respectful, and was very knowledgeable on the vehicles. At no time did she ever talk down to us. When i was ready to purchase a car I contacted her and she provided prompt follow up with zero typical sales tactics. Upon scheduling and appointment to drive the car she was unable to be there so Zack Beishline assisted us. At no time did he try to rush us or just "get the sale done." He picked up and was as professional and polite as they come. Upon doing the paperwork to complete the sale Cory Wright was on top of things and very respectful to my wife and son. I would recommend Jess or Zack to any of my friends or family. The process was about as painless as it could be and was actually very positive.

My fiance and I were in a tight spot. We had leased a car that we really loved, and found out we were pregnant a month after. We needed a much different vehicle at a much different price.The negative equity we owed was outrageous and we ran out of options fast. Ian and Monique did they best they could to help us. Our payment was lowered by about $40 and we got the space we needed. We didn't end up with a perfect scenario, but it could have been worse. Looking forward to dealing with Ian in the future.

PARTS STOLEN OR LOST OFF CAR, PARTS INSTALLED IMPROPERLY OR NOT INSTALLED AT ALL, DAMAGED CAR AND CALLED A LIAR WHEN I CONFRONTED THEM ABOUT DAMAGES TO MY CAR!!!!!Completely disgusted with how my vehicle and myself were treated.No matter how well you take care of your car and how well you know your car, they know your car better than you and will flat out call you a liar if you approach them about damages they've caused to your car. This place has THE WORST customer service of any auto dealer I have had the displeasure of working with. Should've pulled my car(which was there for 2+ months and I got a rental car for 2 days) from their service department when techs at several other dealers told me what crap work they do.Their service department of Dan Taylor, Doug Smith and General Manager Mike Page are the dream team of suck. If I were going to start a company with a goal of having horrendous customer service, I would hire them as dumbies #1, 2 and 3.I repeat, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CVM!!!!!!!! If you have no other choice and have to go there, protect yourself. I dont have one bad thing to say about any of the people at Cumberland Valley Volkswagen. Bart, Jay and Leigh scored high in my book and the first place I am going to look when I am ready for another car is CVM. Leigh- went out of her way to make things convenient for me. My wife and I had been in the market for a 2014 Subaru Forester Limited by searching via internet. CVM had the exact car that we wanted so we called and explained that we were almost 2 hours away but they had the car we wanted. CVM gave a very fair price over the phone so we went and picked it up. While at the dealership our sales person, Mike Ulrich, took the time to go through the entire vehicle, both showing and demonstrating each feature. In a little over an hour we were able to complete the paperwork, learn the car's feature and get back on the road. By chance we had bought a used van at this same dealership in 2006, due to availability and price. They were great to deal with and when its time for my next purchase I will start at CVM.

It's always a little scary when you find a truck on-line and take a chance that it is everything you want. I have always been a Ford customer but was unhappy with their choices this year. I was referred to CVM by a friend and found the vehicle that had everything I was looking for ... cargo space, backseat legroom, lumbar seat, AWD, ground clearance almost as good as the SUV I was trading in, and an on-the-highway 30 mpg. All my research told me I would love the inner workings of the Outback. The salesperson was very professional and spent unrushed time with me, answering all my questions and providing the information I needed.

Customer service went from best I have ever seen or encountered to the absolute worst I have ever experienced. My 2006 VW Passat was taken in for an oil pressure indicator light coming on. Dealership was unable to verify issue but did find over $1,500 of additional work that needed done. Work took forever waiting for parts but a loaner car was issued. Within 50 miles of driving after car was picked up, the vehicle left my pregnant wife and son sitting in the cold one Sunday afternoon. Car was towed back to CVM and we were basically told that the car needed a new engine and they service dept did nothing wrong. Aside from that, the two truck driver found a mechanics tool under the hood that was left there by CVM. I was told to contact VW of America, which I did. I was assured by service dept manager that they would "go to bat for me". VW of America refused to do anything. Neither did CVM. Now I was left with a $1,500 repair bill, a $100 towing bill, and a car without an engine. Cost to fix the engine originally would be " at least" $3,500, but was "over" $6,000 by the time the vehicle was looked at. I was referred to the sales department. Nothing was ever offered or prices reduced to compensate for the mistakes. In fact, I had to fight the labor charge that was accrued after the vehicle was towed back in.Experience witht he sales dept. was fine. Personally, I feel that the original repair charge should have been refunded or a discount given on a new vehicle, but again, nothing was offered.

My experience with Zack was excellent. He surely has a promising future. He was outgoing, without being overbearing. He was attentive to the details (to the extent that he reminded me I might have left CD's in the car I was trading in--I had!). He was very good with managing the price/trade process, and he found just the car I wanted at another dealer and got it in for me. I'd deal with him again in a heart-beat, but of course, we know my new Subaru will be around for a while before I need a new one. This is my third new Subaru, and I'm a happy camper!

I am a 16 year old girl who was shopping around for her first car and wound up looking at CVM Volkswagen. Ryan did an excellent job in explaining all of my options, including showing me several used cars on the lot, as well as the 2012 Beetle. In the end, I decided that leasing a new Beetle was the best option for myself. The customer service was excellent, and the CVM employees I consulted were all knowledgeable and put up with my indecisiveness. I love my bug and am very happy with my CVM experience!

Both the sales consultant and finance officer worked late to make the deal happen. My wifes work schedule can be difficult to work around and this week was no exception. Both gentlemen were professional and helpful making the whole car purchase experience a positive one. I would highly recommend Subaru and CVM to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car. I visited CVM to inquire about a new car and was greeted by Zack immediately. As a woman shopping for a car, I always have my guard up, but I immediately knew that wasn't necessary. Zack was kind, friendly, and sincere. He held the car I was interested in, a Subaru Legacy, well past the two days I asked him to, and when I went back, I ended up leasing it. On my return visit, I had my two sons, who are teenagers. We had to wait quite a while to deal with the financial part of the lease (because of some very detail-oriented customers before us). While there, we had more fun than people are supposed to have at a car dealership. The staff, mostly Zack, was lively, kind, accommodating, and took great care of my kids. They were very well entertained. My older son said he could have stayed longer. We love our new car and can't say enough about Zack's professionalism, quality of work, and efforts to please us. I won't hesitate to have the car serviced at CVM regularly, knowing I will be welcomed and greatly considered. The next car I lease or purchase will most definitely be from CVM, and if Zack is still there, from him!

I ordered my Volkswagen Passat TDI from Mark Heverling and love them both! Mark made the purchase of my new car so easy and on top of that exciting and fun! From the time I walked into the building he was friendly, warm, welcoming, and excited about helping me. You can teach people the knowledge and facts they need to do the job but you cannot ignite the fire in their gut that makes then surpass all others in their field. Ryan is a diamond at CVM and his attention to customer service is outstanding. We have had Ryan as our salesperson at CVM for years and we always seek him out - if for some reason he is not in the showroom we will wait for his return to purchase a VW - that is because to have a gem like Ryan makes all others pale in contrast. I had a convertible that I begrudgingly had to trade in so that I could get a more "family-friendly" car. I knew I wanted a dependable and somewhat sporty Subaru, so I showed up at CVM and was greeted by a young and friendly Zack. He listened to my needs and was very accommodating. I never felt pressured. Zack was very knowledgable and laid back through the whole experience of finding the right car for me and my family. By the end of the day, I was driving away in my new car. Despite the sad good-bye I had to make with my convertible, I felt confident and happy with my new Impreza. I owe this enjoyable experience to Zack. The level of customer service and mechanical skill sets have come into question each time I have taken my daughters car in for major or minor service. I will no longer give the benefit of their word. Having grown up in a family shop I understand that customers are not always right but you try to make them happy. The first issue with this service department is there service manager or advisors are not a quality control team and do not check for quality of the work that was completed. they are busy defending their mechanics work after the service to customers on the phone. They have it backwards, the service manager should be a Master Mechanic and trained to know when his mechanics are telling him the facts/true or bull. Their attention to detail is not there and this may be because there is no quality control. My daughters 2006 Legacy GT had the turbo go bad and contaminate the engine. They had to do a complete block and turbo replacement. I inspected the vehicle after my daughter picked it up and there were obvious fasteners missing that hold the engines plastic parts down and a few weeks later a small oil leak. They installed old and unchecked parts from the used engines block on the new rebuild. One of the very hoses would later fail, they installed the old engine belts and not the newer ones that were on the failed engine. Small details add up poor results. They returned the car to my daughter with no transmission fluid showing on the stick, when my daughter got home from the shop five miles away she said it felt like the transmission was acting funny. I checked the fluid and found it so low it was not showing on the stick. (small details and big disasters) You need to know the transmission comes out of the car when the engine is removed and they allowed the fluid to leak out over night and forgot to fill it weeks later when the engine was ready to be reinstalled, they denied this but, when I asked how the fluid got out of the transmission they did not know. My first thought was if they missed the obvious and easy stuff what about the gaskets and major engine parts they installed. Fast forward 13 months and $6,000.00 later, the engine has coolant and oil leaking. The parts did not fail! The labor and skill sets that installed them failed me. They tell me their service is warranteed for 12 months. To say an engine rebuild should not leak is correct and it all depends on the mechanics skills and attention to detail. Every mechanic knows that if you do not clean the parts perfect or install the gasket correctly and know when to or not to use silicone, the part will leak or cause the engine to fail again. This rebuild should have lasted another 100K miles not 14K like in my case. I will not be taking my cars to CVM again. I did email the president of the CVM and received no response.

I am a CVM VW Jetta owner and received a complimentary bottle of water from this dealer that was good for a free car wash. I took my car in the other day to be washed and Cody was incredibly friendly when I approached him to get my car washed. He immediately took it back and ran it through and when he pulled it out and looked at it, he asked if I had a few minutes, he wanted to clean the tires and rims better. He and two other workers proceeded to clean the tires perfectly AND "Squeegie" my car off so there weren't any water droplets remaining. I greatly appreciated his attention to detail and his incredible customer service for someone like myself that was just in to take advantage of a free car wash. Nowadays quality service like that is hard to find and I truly appreciate feeling like a valued client beyond the purchase of a car. Thank you CVM and thank you Cody!

I found my 2009 Ford Focus on CVM's website for a good price, went down to the dealer, was greeted by Zack, who did a great job. He was a really chill, friendly dude. After we talked about price, I explained I had just graduated, and was going to get a loan. Being extremely flexible, he let me go get my loan the next day and held onto the car for me. I didn't get as much as I was hoping on my loan, and the guys adjusted the price and still sold me the vehicle. All in all, this was my first car buying experience, and Zack, Jeff, and Kelly really made the experience so pleasant and easy. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

I'm from Colorado and on my way to visit family, passing through Carlisle, Pennsylvania. My Subaru headlight went out and I was desperate to find a dealership to fix my car in 30 minutes or less before it got dark. I walked into CVM and Avan had me in and out in 20 minutes. I heard them say we have a traveler and she needs help, now. They were incredibly helpful and so wonderfully cheerful. They understood how anxious I felt. We went to CVM to purchase a used VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI. The customer service and buying process seemed fine, even easy, at the time -- and we got a good APR. However, we have since realized how many lies we were told. First, the internet sales person, Chip Taylor, told us the car was certified pre-owned, an assumption that we brought to the bargaining table. He also told us some false information about the financing process. Conveniently, Chip no longer works for the company, so there is no one to hold accountable. Our salesperson, Roger Sowers, told us that the tires were in the middle of their life, and that the slight shimmy we felt at high speeds would go away with new tires. All untrue. The tires needed replacing and the shimmy was the result of two bent rims. The total on these repairs will cost us $1500. UPDATE 6/25: I have changed my ratings above because CVM really came through for us. Because of the issues stated above, they went above and beyond to help us out. We live 3.5 hours away from the dealer, but they sent a driver to pick up our car, left a rental, and took it back to PA to fix the rims free of charge. They also gave us a great deal on new tires and fixed a chip in the windshield for free. The car drives wonderfully now, and we are very grateful. Thanks Jim and Dave and everyone at CVM for working with us and making sure we were happy. Even with the confusion of our actual sale, I would now recommend CVM to car buyers.

Art, Dave and the gentleman that took a test drive with me were very patient. They considered my concerns very carefully and gave me the best suggestions they could offer. They also brought in a guy from Subaru to help diagnosis the trouble. The problems are still up in the air as to whether they have been resolved. We preordered an Opera Red 2012 VW Passat SEL TDI in July last year. Marc and Becky (whom we shall miss) did a GREAT job with the sale! No fake "I'll see what I can do's," or, "You're killing me here's." Tom was also very HELPFUL and not at all pushy, as I have experienced at some other dealers. The negotiated price was very good, but at the last minute I decided to trade in our 1997 Toyota T-100. The truck had the standard Toyota excessive frame rot (no love from Toyota), so I didn't expect to get anything much on trade. Erik offered much more than I expected (thank you) and Marc and Becky stuck to the negotiated price. Very HONEST! Very FAIR!I have had the car back for servicing twice since it was delivered in very late November. Avan, Jen and Amanda were SUPER! I had a great relationship built with Ben when he was the service manager and, although I have not dealt with David yet, I look forward to continuing that relationship with both Ben and David.I have not met Tammy or Monique, but the VW dealership bears witness to the success of their efforts.

I sent out an all hands request, via email, for my car to over a dozen dealers around the state, most dealers stated they had "excatly" what I wanted but then asked, "what is it that your looking for?" Then those dealers told me, "oh, we don't have that but how about this?" Apparently they lack the knowledge of what exactly means.CVM made my vehicle buying experience very painless and even beat the price of ZAG/Car Finder & USAA. My experience with CVM has been outstanding. Initially, they went out of their way to find the exact car I was searching for - and they found it - even when several other dealers could not! I recently had to schedule a new car check up and service for an item recall. Like most people - my time is limited - so much so that sometimes its even hard to make a phone call. I actually used the online scheduling option and was provided with a response and an appointment within an hour. It was easy. Then I had a glitch and had to reschedule. Again, I did this all via the internet. The morning I dropped off my car (I was in a hurry-naturally) and I also needed a loaner car. I checked in and was provided the loaner car within 15 minutes. The loaner was a high end vehicle - very nice to drive. Since my service was routine warranty related - there was absolutely no cost. None. Zero. I expected to be called and told I needed this or that - but they never tried to upsell me. Not even when I was purchasing my new car. CVM is true to their word. They do exactly what they say they are going to do. They are efficient and effective and appreciate the value of your time.

Since I have been a customer at CVM (V.W. Service), they have provided exceptional and timely service. I have a 2003 V.W. Golf that has received all scheduled maintenence (as well as other things), since I purchased it new in '03. Everyone works consistently well together at CVM (including Enterprise employees, should you need a rental), and they have your car serviced properly by certified V.W. technicians ON TIME. The work is guaranteed. The service manager also works hard to meet customer needs. I will not be going anywhere else for my V.W. needs and will be making my next new vehicle purchase through CVM. We just brought our 2008 Subaru Outback in for a 75k mike service and as always, the service was great. We were told what would be done for the service, cost, and how long it would take. When the service took longer then expected, they worked with my schedule to allow for a pickup that suited me. When I came in for pickup, they told me what was completed and how everything looked overall. One thing that I have always appreciated, that I rarely get elsewhere, is that CVM gives me a heads up of upcoming service that will be needed. For example, this time they told me that my tires will more than likely need to be replaced in about 5000 miles. With this being a business vehicle, it allows us to budget accordingly for the additional expense, protect our workers from having unsafe tires, and gives us piece of mind that someone is looking out for us. I bought my car there because of reasons like this and its because of this (and much more) that I will buy my next car from CVM and have referred others do so as well.

After having a horrible 2 weeks trying to purchase a new vehicle from two different dealerships, including one I had to travel 100 miles to only to find out the car I had called and put a hold on was sold, my wife and I drove a few extra miles down the Pike to CVM to look at the Subaru. Nadia was very knowledgeable and with the help of the used car manager and sales manager was able to get us a good deal. We were able to drive home our new Subaru a few hours after we walked into the dealership. It was a great car buying experience and I can only hope that all my future purchases will be the same.

I live 45 mins from the dealership, but my local dealerships can't compete with CVM! I was able to work with Zach Beishline and the whole process went as smooth as butter. No high pressure selling. My husband and I had a great time purchasing our New 2012 Subaru Forester at CVM, with our dealer Zach Beishline. We were only planning to view and test drive the vehicle when we arrived at the dealership, but a few hours later we were signing the deal! Zach was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable as we navigated our purchasing and financing options. He was definitely not the "pushy salesman" type we were dreading! It was good to know that Zach's grandparents are loyal Subaru Forester drivers, and he provided terrific insight on the vehicle's snow readiness, family friendliness, and of coarse all of the kayaking/camping accessories we love. We feel that Zach went above and beyond in finding us our dream vehicle, even when the specific color we wanted was not available on the CVM lot. I have not purchased a new car in quite a few years so I was a little terrified about going through the process. On top of that, I was trading in my late wife's car to help defray the costs. Needless to say, I had mixed emotions about that as well. I did some pretty intense web research on various makes and models and decided that I really liked the Subaru Legacy GT. A couple of weeks ago - on Black Friday actually - I walked into your showroom and met Ms Nadia Long and all I can say is that #5's don't begin to do her justice...maybe #105's! What a friendly, thoughtful, caring, people-centric professional you have working there at CVM. I wouldn't even call it working...it was more like visiting or chatting with a friend every time we met or exchanged emails or chatted on the phone. Her eyebrows went up when I said "GT" because she said they were a rare breed. She was correct and only found 3 and one of those was already sold. For the next week, she worked diligently and relentlessly to divert "my car" from being shipped to another dealership. Her hard work paid off and I was rewarded with the car of my dreams. Nadia knew the emotional tug I was under trading in my late wife's car and she was very supportive and compassionate in understanding that aspect. I have my car, but Nadia's work is not done. She's following up with me today to see if I have any questions and will do the same I'm sure after the holiday...and my road trip. I just purchased a brand new 21st Century Beetle from the nicest dealer I have ever done business. I wanted a new Beetle because I am passionate about Beetles and Volkswagen. This will be my 4th Beetle Bug since 1999 and I am thrilled with the experience I had at CVM. I moved here 2 years ago and began going to them for service on a friend's recommendation and I am so happy I did. The esrvice is impeccable and I have always been treated fairly and everything has been explained to me so that I can understand it. I told my service advisor to call me as soon as a new Beetle came in and she did the day it arrived at the dealership! I came to see it when it was still wrapped in plastic and came back the next day to drive it. Wow! It was incredible so we found one of their incoming cars that would fit my needs and now I am happily driving the coolest vehicle on the road. Everyone at CVM was always so friendly and accomodating and the General Manager, Mike, went out of his way to find me some of the accessories I wanted. Becky & Ryan in sales were tops and Tom the finance guy was friendly and non threatening or pushy. I am very happy with my deal and the dealership. Last winter, my husband and I bought a new Subaru from Chris. He was such a helpful guy that I mentioned I was looking for a good, used car for myself. I really wanted a Jeep, and everytime one came to the dealership he would e-mail me to let me know. Money is tight but he was able to help us get a great deal on a beautiful 2006 Jeep Wrangler when my car was smooshed by a tree in the flood. We had actually gone to another car dealer to check out a Jeep but were pretty much ignored and their Jeep was a wreck for the price. That same night we went to see if Chris was working and he took care of us right away. The next morning I was driving my Jeep! :)

Just purchased our second Subaru Outback, the old one is going to my inlaws. Obviously we are very pleased with the car. Our sales associate, Nadia, was very responsive, prompt and accomodating. The dealer pricing was very competative. We found this dealership, and especially Nadia, to be far easier to work with compared to the other local dealers while we were negotiating price and options in an effort to get the best total deal. This experience was better than our last purchase at this dealership during the cash for clunkers program. At that time they were the only dealership that had the car we were looking for, and demand was very high since we waited to execute until near the end of the program and it was a new model that year. As important, the salesperson we dealt with the on the 1st purchase at this dealership is longer employed there- Nadia is certainly as big step up.

Ryan is a great Sales Rep, He is very knowledgeable about all Volkswagens. He is trully a Specialist when it comes to VW. He is a dedicated and motivated salesman. Unbelievably poor experience. We knew exactly which car we wanted to buy. All we needed to know was whether or not Matt could find it, how much it would cost and how much for our trade-in. We met with him on Friday. I followed it up with two emails on Saturday detailing exactly what information we needed and we never heard back from him except for an email saying that he might be able to find the car but it would require a $500 deposit to get the car transferred here from another dealer. No price included, no mention of a trade-in value for our car. By the way, I also requested the car and requested a trade-in quote on their web page a couple days prior to our visit in person. Because we had another offer that was good for 72 hours from the Honda Dealer for a new Accord (our second choice vehicle), the following Monday I emailed Faulkner Subaru and we purchased the exact vehicle we were looking for on Wednesday. I STILL haven't heard back from Matt.

We came to this dealer because we had read online about the 2011 Subaru Legacy and Subaru Impreza and wanted to check out those models. We were attended right away by Matt Izzo who proved to be helpful, professional, informative and personable. We took the Legacy for a test drive and Matt was very helpful and communicative with all of my family members who came along for the test drive (father and brother). We returned the next day for another test drive and were once again attended right away by Matt. Although we ended up purchasing a different vehicle (Hyundai Sonata 2011), it was really a tough choice because of all of the great features of the Legacy. The Sonata has a much better automatic warranty and a better extended warranty offer as well, and we liked its great mileage, excellent safety ratings and good looks. I would suggest that Subaru offer a better warranty, or think about offering a better extended warranty.Overall we are giving this rating because Matt was wonderful. He was highly knowledgeable about Subaru and the Legacy and informative about other cars and dealers as well. He was expressive and helpful without being over-the-top. We would like to thank him for his excellent service. Although I did not purchase the Legacy, my father was also very impressed and is planning to return and purchase a Subaru, either a Legacy or an Outback, within a year or two and we hope to be able to work once again with Matt Izzo.

I found Cumberland Valley Motors through a craigslist ad for a used '06 Ford Taurus SEL. The ad was really detailed and piqued my interest. We called and literally 10 minutes later CVM got back to us. Not only was the car fantastic, so was the entire staff at CVM! Our salesman, Zack Beishline, answered all our questions and was excellent at communicating the features and history of the car. He made an effort to secure us a good deal. Very polite and a real pleasure to work with!!

I had a great experience with subaru. What I loved the most was that they had a kids room with a tv,toys, and books in it for the kid to play in while the parents were working on paper work or waiting on anything. It was great that i brought my mom with me and she was able to sit in that room with my daughter n just let her play and not have to run around the dealership after, that was a great help probably wouldn't of been able to get my car so soon if the dealership didn't have that. Also everyone was so nice and they worked hard on my deal for me they were great.

Zach made no attempt to pressure us into a sale. He encouraged us to drive all the cars that might fit our needs. He called me on the weekend with a deal that was a real surprise. We bought a used subaru with 59K that had been sold, serviced, and traded in (when it was inspected again) to CVM before it was auctioned to the small lot where we bought it. Less than 2 mo after our purchase there was total engine failure. We have learned that CV had replaced the engine at 44K two years prior and failed to disclose to carfax. More - the car had been returned and had spark plugs, hoses etc replaced ONE MONTH after they put the new motor in - there's no possible mechanical explanation for that other than poor worksmanship. We got a different story and piece of information every time we talked to someone there, and they want to blame EVERYONE except themselves. They refuse to stand behind their work, and they have been the most unethical, disreputable group - the service managers impersonate one another on the phone, have blatantly lied, and have been discourteous and disrespectful. In addition, while there for a "diagnosis" the car was dented and keyed. The service mgr refused to tell us the diagnosis, saying he would only speak to a Subaru rep - oh, but billed us for it. We towed the car home and picked up the engine separately rather than paying them the $10K (!!) they wanted to "repair" it. Seriously? Why would I hire the garage who screwed up the engine in the first place - and won't admit it - to repair it? Despite the huge bill for diagnosis, we learned NOTHING about why the engine failed - just that it had. Gee, thanks. They can't explain why a timing belt put in 18K miles ago is completely worn, why there's lubrication throughout the motor but a bearing failed, etc. No wonder this place has nearly no vehicles on the lot. If you're going to buy a Subaru, go to Faulkner - and if you're buying used, make sure it was NEVER "serviced" or "repaired" at CV. And, for goodness' sakes, don't expect them to do the right, ethical, or legal thing.

Our overall experience was great. Julius answered all questions he knew promptly and any he didn't know, he made sure he found the answer and got back to us. The whole staff was courteous. Drinks and snacks were offered every visit. Everyone smiled and greeted you. We didn't have any work done so can't judge quality of work.Only thing we were a little disappointed with was financing interest rate. We were hoping for a little better then what we got.All in all, an enjoyable experience.

Good overall experience. Sales rep, Matt, was very personable and knowledgible. Definitely felt comfortable at this dealership. Not pushy at all. Really worked with me on my trade in. Took a little long to get back to me via phone concerning my counter offer, but that is understandable. The finance guy was also very good, didn't try to upsell us easy to work with. Paperwork took a lot longer than I was told or expected. Again overall, a very good experience, especially comparing it to other dealerships.

Mr. Beishline was extremely cordial, affable, and well informed regarding his products. Very easy to deal with and answer all questions without hesitation. Very accommodating individual and a credit to this dealership. We searched for vehicles at no less than 10 other dealerships, and the most pleasurable was at CVM. We did here, but it was not because of Mr. Beishline...we simply got a better deal from Lancaster County Subaru. However, we are looking at a 2nd vehicle at CVM, and also have sent our son there as well. In all cases, we are using Mr. Beishline (including for possible VW purchase). Great job!

The staff at CVM was nothing short of amazing. Not only were they professional, but each person I spoke to was genuine and engaged me in conversation that was not always centered around my purchase and pressuring me into buying something. I cant say that about any of the other 12 or so dealerships that I have been in. I have always left them feeling swindled or lied to, regardless of whether i made a purchase or not. But that is not the case at CVM. I was treated with respect and no one ever made me feel pressured to buy from them or make a deal before I left. Specifically, Julius Merrifield is a terrific salesman and a great asset to the CVM team. Along with all of the great traits mentioned above, Julius carries himself with a calm and quiet demeanor that does not throw anything in your face and lets you make every decision the way that you want. He knew his material and was able to answer any question I had. He went the extra mile to make sure I got a chance to check out every feature i wanted to see and then once i decided on a car, he did everything he could to facilitate an easy paperwork process. He even went as far to pay for my drivers license renewal because it expired the day that I went to sign the paperwork.I was also impressed with the "perks" that come with the purchase of a vehicle from CVM. I wont go into them all here, but they did a great job throwing in a bunch of free services that will keep me coming back to CVM anytime I need work done or even just have a question. I cant say enough good about these guys so go see for yourself, i'm sure it will be an enjoyable experience, even if you dont buy a car!

All service work has been done and all promises have been kept by the sales person, Anthony. We are hoping that the Routon gets a diesel engine in the coming year. If so I will buy one. Mr Merrifield was very attentive and helpful. He even stayed past closing to allow me to test drive several vehicles. He never pressured me which is very important to me and he repeated that his aim was for me to be happy and comfortable with my choice. We have just purchased our third Subaru at CVM. The other two both have over 100,000 miles on them and have never left us down. We do most of our own routine maintence changing oil, checking tires, ect.... We rely on CVM for the major repairs and services when needed. The service work we have had has always been done well and at reasonable cost to us. We stopped in to look at our newest vehicle the used 2008 Outback Legacy last Saturday 4/2/11. The salseman Chris Carvell could not have been any nicer. He saw us in the parking lot and immediately ask if we needed any help or had any questions. We read good reviews about Cumberland Valley Motors and Nadia Long, so we went in Friday 3/25 looking for a new car. We had our Consumer Reports info and Kelley Blue Book values in hand. Nadia was awesome to work with! Professional and fun, and a very nice person. She knew the Forester models like the back of her hand, and the lot stock as well. She explained the available trim lines, bringing up an example vehicle for each. We selected a Forester Touring model. Wow, what a nice small SUV.Then came the negotiations. Well, the dealership surprised us with a very fair price on the Forester, so good that we turned our attention to the trade-ins (we had 2). After one adjustment on the trade-ins, we had a deal. It was the best experience we have ever had with a car dealership. Nadia was an effective go-between, communicating our concerns so that we could arrive at a deal.Then came the business manager and paperwork. This can also be a challenging part of the process because of hard-sells on dealer extras. Well, it just didn't happen that way. The business manager, Mark Phillips, told us about an extended warranty. Just the facts, no hard sell, no pressure. Having addressed that, on we went through the paperwork. Quick and easy. He got us a good interest rate on our financing. This guy was a professional also. Great to work with.We highly recommend Nadia Long and CVM Subaru. We are going to them for all our car needs, period.

Matt was very informative, and could not have been more friendly and personable. He knew most answers to our questions, and those he did not he researched quickly. My experience with CVM and the staff was very different from my past experiences. Chris really took the time to listen to me, to get me a car my family now enjoys. Aaron and Ed (financing guys) worked hard to get me a great financing deal with my bank. They even gave me a good "price" on my trade-in. I will be recommending CVM to anyone looking to buy a new or used car. It looks like CVM will be the place to go back to for our cars or SUV's from here on out. Chris even included a goodie bag which really took me by surprise, and was a very good gesture. It really proved to me that the staff at CVM cares about the people they "serve." In the past I had trouble dealing with CVM. This is my 5th Subaru, 3 of which I purchased through CVM, and 1 private sale. I wsn't satisfied with the deal on my 2nd purchased and when I told the salesman and Sales Manager, I was told that was the price-take it or leave it. I said I would visit another dealer, and was told I should come back with their offer and they try to match it. I did go to another dealer and made my purchase there. I was leery to give CVM another chance, but my wife liked the car so we went in. Nadia was very helpful so we came back 2 days later and made a deal that made us happy. The whole attitude seems to have changed at CVM, and since we only live 2 miles away, we are happy to deal with CVM.

My most recent purchase of an 2011 VW Touareg was just another good car buying experience from CVM. Nadia Long, the saleswoman, was very friendly and a pleasure to work with. She was sure to be flexible with my schedule and be there every time I stopped in to ask questions. Her partner Ryan Callahan was equally as great. He took the time to show me every, well almost every, feature the Touareg had to offer. Had he shown me every feature possible. I would have never left the parking lot being that is has so many. I had him show me the important features such as navigation, bluetooth connections, and then drove off the parking lot a happy customer. My husband has been after me to look at the new subaru's for about a year now. He surprised me with tickets to the car show in Harrisburg. I was amazed just how much that helped me narrow the search to just a couple of choices. With the Outback being at the top of the list. Before we could make it to CVM for a test drive, our son and daughter-in-law took their 1998 legacy in for repair...met Nadia and looked at the new Foresters. They decided to upgrade and they recommended we come in to meet Nadia. She made it easy for us to test drive several cars and decide what options we wanted. Nadia, Aaron and Ed made it a very easy transaction. And...with delivery being on February 14th...When anyone asked me what I got for Valentines Day...I just smiled and said ;A RED Limited Outback. Pretty Awesome!Also, Nadia was very personable...answered all our questions and the day of pick-up went over everything in the car and even took the time to sync my phone for me. She made sure our Granddaughters car seat was installed and sent us off with a promise to see us in another 12 years or 200,000 miles whichever comes first !

Both Becky and John were very helpful through the entire process. I had lots of questions after my first visit to the dealership and Becky (my main point of contact) was very quick in responding to my calls. When she didn't have an answer immediately she called me back in a surprisingly quick amount of time with the answer. John, the sales manager, was very responsive in helping me locate the exact model of car I wanted as it was not among those available on his lot. Once we came to pick up the car and make the final purchase, both my husband and I were very impressed with how smooth and efficient that process was -- it was the best experience either of us have had in making a car purchase. Both Becky and John were a joy to work with, especially as we were trying to make the deal go through with limited time during the holiday season. While I cannot recall the name of the woman responsible for completing the financial documents, it is my understanding that she is no longer employed by CVM. We visited CVM with the assumption to purchase in buying one of the best quality vehicles we could afford. I know from being in Agriculture German quality was excellent. Becky Hein was our sales person. She showed us the Jetta Wagen and suggested I test drive it. I felt very comfortable in the Jetta Wagen. We went home with the information. We went back to CVM several days later and signed.Becky was very cordial and answered all our questions.

I went to both CVM and Sutliff VW...the employees at Sutliff VW were incredibly rude and even though that dealer is 10 miles closer, I will never go back. At CVM Ryan was very helpful and knowledgable without being pushy. I am extremely pleased with my new Jetta and will go back to CVM for as long as I drive a VW.

I bought my Subaru Legacy at CVM. Monique, the president, understood that I do not like the pressure of car salesmen so she helped me throughout the whole process with no pressure. I thought I wanted a trendy SUV but was directed to test drive an SUV along with the Legacy Wagon, which was recommended by Monique, in order to compare. I chose the Legacy Wagon, along with her help, because it fits my needs perfectly. It is an all- wheel drive wagon that is helpful in bad weather conditions and keeps me safe. Additionally, it allows me to transfer my lovely daughter's stuff back and forth to college. Furthermore, after comparing prices online with other car dealerships, I found CVM gave me the best price for my trade-in van.The service has been great at CVM. Monique has even volunteered to drive it into the shop for me when it needs service. Once it arrives back home it is cleaned without any extra charge. She really goes out of her way to please her customers and will succeed anyones expectations. This is a family run business and you really become part of their family. I would highly recommend buying a car from CVM.

I just purchased my 3rd vehicle from CVM and am very pleased. They are fantastic to work with. Their service department always takes care of me and goes out of their way to make sure I am happy. If I need to leave my truck, they take me to and pick me up from work. They wash my truck every time I go there, even if it is just an oil change. There are never any problems and I would recommend them to anyone, and I have. Their sales team made this purchase easy. They took care of my trade in vehicles and made sure the paperwork was done for me.A++ to CVM!

I purchased my Volkswagen Jetta in the Spring of 2008 and chose Cumberland Valley Motors based on its proximity to my home. Following are my experiences with purchasing the vehicle and also with a follow-up service visit.When I first arrived, all of CVM's showroom employees were busy with other customers and, not wanting me to be unattended to, the President of the company (later learned to be Monique Ullom) came to personally assist me. I was there for a test drive a Jetta and let her know that. Instead of telling me to wait for a sales associate, she grabbed the keys and said "lets go." Monique was very knowledgeable about the car and did not pressure me into purchasing the car, but rather told me about options that she thought were "cool" about the vehicle. I purchased a Jetta the next week.This past summer (2010) I went to CVM to have them look at an exterior paint problem that I was having. Essentially, a tree on my property was "raining" berries that stained my white paint on the Jetta. As hard as I tried, some of the stains would not come off (i even scratched the car trying to get some off). I took the car to them to see if they had any ideas of better solvents I could use. The service person on duty told me to wait 10 minutes while he took the car back to have someone look at it. Not more than 15 minutes later, he returned my car COMPLETELY CLEAN! No signs of the berry stains that previously plagued my car. Whats more, the inside was vaccuumed and clean. Oh, no charge either. I have had all good experiences with CVM and would recommend any friends or family to purchase a vehicle there.

I have had eight Volkswagens before this 2011 Jetta, and have both serviced and restored cars for more than 35 years. This revamp of the Jetta puts it into a whole different class of automobile than previous iterations. This car is refined and exhibits some of the finest driving characteristics of any car I've driven. The folks at Cumberland Valley Motors were knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful without being forward or pressuring me in any way. The car market is tough in this day and age, and having dealt with representatives of other marques, CVM was a breath of fresh air with their knowledgeable and affable staff. I highly recommend them to any levelof customer from someone needing transportaion to the most ardent enthusiast.

Frank and John went above and beyond to get me my new Tiguan. I had only one week to find and purchase a new vehicle, since my Jetta was totaled due to an accident and I had limited time with my rental vehicle. Frank worked on his day off to find the vehicle. John was able to get another dealership to release one of their Tiguan to CVM and made many accomidations since the it would be a few days until they could get the vehicle in their physical possession.

I HAVE ALWAYS DROVE EITHER AN OUTBACK OR A LEGACY FOR THE LAST 17 YEARS. Always service with a smile! I feel so welcomed every time I am in and they do a great job of keeping my vehicle in tip top shape! My car always get washed after service and it always gets a report card so i know what to expect in the future like in 5000 miles or so I should think about tires. Great service! And the little dogs there make the atmosphere so much like home. So cute!

We just purchased our 3rd vehicle from CVM Dodge and they are the greatest! This was our first new vehicle after getting 2 pre-owned vans from them we came to look for another late model Caravan and we were really excited when the owner of the dealership showed us that with interest rates being so low and the incentives so attractive that we could afford a brand new 2010 Dodge Gr Caravan. My daughters & I love it and were so impressed by the treatment of the sales manager - Jeff and Ed who got all of the financing together for us and last but not least our salesman Bob Hennion who really took his time with us going over all of the great features of our NEW van! We love it and and we love the service we have always received. It was the best experience we have ever had buying a vehicle. They are friendly and treat you like family. There are 3 of the cutest dogs that "work" there and they kept our girls entertained while we did the paperwork. You can not go wrong buying from CVM!

Overall my experiences at CVM have been very good. The service dept delivers as promised most of the time and they're usually pleasant. There seems to have been some turnover recently but the people they have are a good lot.Buying the car was also a pleasant experience. I bought my car from Rob but I'm told he's no longer there. That is unfortunate because the salesman I spoke with on my last visit was a real ding dong. Be wary of the guy who looks like a navy seals wannabe and talks too loud, stands too close and tries to look down your shirt...real creepster.Overall, even though they're not perfect, the people seem to care at CVM which is worth quite a lot in my book, and I'll keep shopping there.

I bought a Volkswagen Touareg about 6 months ago and I love it! Ryan showed me all the ins and outs of the car so that I would be really comfortable with my new car. Everyone there was so friendly and always smiled and engaged me in conversation. I enjoyed the experience but wondered if it would last. I had a courtesy check about 2 1/2 months after the purchase and again I was impressed with everyone - Jen in service explained to me about the free maintenance and the loaner car process so I would know what to expect when I came in for an oil change. At the check they also reviewed some features with me and offered accessories. I bought a few too! Yesterday I went in for my first free oil change and it was great. Completely seamless transaction. They were waiting for me with the loaner and off I went. When I came to get my car later they reviewed the next service due, asked how they could improve (I said nothing! Everything is first class!), and washed my car! I love CVM and would recommend them to anyone looking for a car.

Got a VW Fahrenheit there and love the car! I had purchased a BMW a few years ago and pretty much had to figure everything out for myself. At CVM they explained all the gadgets (there are tons with my car!) BEFORE I left the dealership. Great group to work with and if you have never owned a VW, consider it! They also have Subaru there (just checked out their inventory during a recent service visit) and am considering a second car!!! Love them too.

My husband and I purchased a used car (2007 Chrysler Sebring) for our son 08/03/09 from Cumberland Valley Motors, CVM, in Mechanicsburg, PA. Within 24 hours we noticed the brakes squealed/squeaked excessively and called CVM to report this. CVM told us to keep driving the car as there was rust on the brakes due to the car sitting in the lot prior to being sold. The squeal became worse. We contacted CVM again and they agreed to check the car. They stated that this was a machine and things happen and what did you expect. They did agree to look at the car and did some adjusting to the brakes. The squeak/squeal was still apparent but not as noticeable. On 09/11 the rear window fell into the car when the automatic window button was simply pressed. We had to pay out of pocket to have this repaired. We actually had to have the window repaired a second time as it fell down into the car the next time it was used. The repair shop- a Philadelphia Chrysler dealership- also noted that the air filter was cracked and told us that CVM had to have known these defects upon sale to us.CVM opted not to cover our cost of the rear window repair or to fix the air filter as they deemed all of this cosmetic. CVM then opted to not to take nor return multiple telephone calls and messages. There is something very wrong with not standing behind your product and not treating a customer with respect. I did not feel CVM was honest and their word meant nothing. There is no customer service. On 11/4/09 I emailed the President of CVM. To date there has been no response. I would never recommend CVM to anyone. After looking at other reviews it is clear that they have a long history of poor customer service and that we are far from the first customers to have had a very negative experience with them.

I regret ever setting foot in CVM Dodge. They sold me a car that was in need of several thousand dollars of repairs. They lie about their warranty and they do not return telephone calls. I am so sorry I ever purchased a car from them. I should have known that they were deceitful people when they laughed about another customer being locked out of his car. CVM dodge is located on Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg. Search results include CVM and cumberland valley motors. I have many complaints with their service department and their sales department. I find it loathesome that they would try to get me to spend another thousand dollars on an extended warranty when they cover NOTHING. Two days after I bought my car the check engine light went on. They have ignored me hoping I would go away before my warranty expires. They are dishonest. Do not buy a car there. It is not a deal.

It took this sorry excuse for a dealership 5 weeks to do a simple sunroof repair. It took them 3 weeks to get parts ordered. They put a 3 inch scratch in my passenger rear quarter panel (down to and in some spots THROUGH the primer) and refused to have the quarter panel repainted, they only offered to have it simply painted over. I opted to keep the scratch. The service people treated me like garbage every time I went in there. I once had to stand and wait for 10 minutes before I was offered help. When I actually asked for help, I was ignored or asked to wait while they went in and had personal conversations with the service people that were in the garages. They also put large black grease stains in my nice tan headliner.I have also dealt with the sales department. They treated my girlfriend like a ditzy airhead who knows nothing about cars, when in reality she knows a great deal about them. The salesperson I dealt with tried to put me in a car that I clearly did not want.I will never return to CVM and would not even recommend it to my worst of enemies. I have found a small shop in Mechanicsburg (Floyd's) and have had a few positive experiences there. I have also had positive experiences with York VW and would recommend them. Please learn from my bad experience and stay away from CVM.
