While my car was under their care and control it was severally damaged. I let them know I would be working with the insurance company. I made an appointment with them to have the wheels that were on the vehicle swapped for the originals. But, when I arrived at the dealership they could not find my car. After calling my insurance company, it became clear the dealership had had my car towed, despite the fact I had an appointment. They blamed this on a new employee, but if they can not train people to make an appointment, do you trust them to train their employees to service your transmission or your brakes? Did they give me the name of the tow company? No. I had to find that on my own. Did they tell me where the lot was located? No. I had to find that on my own. Of course, being a Saturday the lot was closed and eventual I had to pay a $450 ransom to get my car that they moved without my permission. Had they made a 30 second phone call or sent an email I gladly would have moved the car. They couldn't be bothered with that simple courtesy. On top of that the tow company damaged my front dumper. In the end they cost me somewhere between $1,000 and $2,500. I would avoid every Fowler dealership.

Kaitlynn was a wonderful saleswoman! Everything was perfect until one of the tires on my brand new car that is very expensive was given to me with a leak in it. It was fixed after ! two ! trips back to the dealership because they did not fix it correctly the first time. I do appreciate the service to get it fixed, however I don’t think that should have been an issue in the first place. Overall good salesmanship, poor service workers.

I am only leaving 3 stars because the friendliness of the staff is there. Although they take their sweet time. I spent nearly 5 hours at this establishment waiting for an oil change. Although I did have them look at a few small things while my vehicle was there, it wasn’t sent to the technician to do those repairs until I had already been there for 3-3 1/2 hours. I had an appointment at 8 AM, that I arrived on time to. I am beyond grateful I had nothing else going on that day. I will use a different VW next time.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The sales team was able to answer every question we had. They offered water and small snacks while we waited. The salesman was a great guy. Really enjoyed spending the time with him learning about the different cars available. The service department was spotless. That may not be important to most people, but when they brought me to see the service area and I saw that they took so much pride in their work to keep everything clean, I knew this was a dealer that would work hard for me as a customer. I generally hate car shopping, but this was a great experience.

This was the most friendly, painless, efficient visit I have ever experienced at a dealership. Kelly, the online salesman, gave me a tour of the facility! If anyone has not taken a tour, you should! I have been to several VW dealerships across the country but none like this. This one is awesome! It's a giant piece of art installment! Top notch. The employees at Fowler VW are by far the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic employees of any dealership I have experienced. My salesman, Kwame Cave, went above and beyond what a normal salesperson would do! Not only was he most helpful before the purchase, but he has been just as helpful after the purchase. Kwame's attention to detail has been very impressive. The dealership had sold the Jetta I was interested in, but Kwame called us about a white Passat, that I currently own, and looking back that was the best choice I could've made. He told me it was a little bigger and safer, which my dad really appreciates. I couldn't be happier! Hopefully on my next purchase Kwame will still be around to make my experience has enjoyable as this one! For starters I have a 2015 VW Passat that I take in every 5,000 miles for service. My advisor is Ryan Cadwallder and he is great at taking care of my car and all my concerns. Never has there been a time when my car was not washed and given to me when promised, can't ask for any better service. A couple other people I would like to thank is Waldi who answers the phones and makes sure everybody is taken care of, James samples is the Gm and is very hands on and a stand up guy always in pocket and avalible to chat. The service mgr is Rob Lackey and he always is positive and has his crew spot on every time I'm in. Thanks to these Fowler VW employees that have won my business,Brian.

Stopped by initially just to take at their selection of Golf GTIs. My inital sales rep (Wes) was very helpful and allowed me to test drive a couple and found a certified pre-owned 2015 Golf GTI SE. Had low miles and a competitive price compared to new inventory. I talked numbers with the finance manager (James). Weren't able to go too deep that night, but James called me the following morning to see what I'd be able to manage financially and worked from there. I went back to dealership the next day to see what they had came up with, spend a little more time with the car and was greeted by my second sales rep (Kelly),who was informed on all the details by Wes since he was not working that day; like Wes he was a very nice and honest guy. The sales manager (Eric) went over the package and pricing they could offer and honestly it was excellent, but I wanted to crunch some numbers farther. They were even kind enough to allow me to leave with the car that night to make sure it's all I wanted and it pretty much was. Unfortunately though after crunching my numbers including current debts that I want to clear up it would over extend my finances and put me in a hole with my current credit cards. I explained this to them and they offered a lower payment with a better warranty, but I had to decline and walk away for the time being as hard as that was to do. Everyone really did go above and beyond to give me the best deal possible and give a great customer experience. They really do make you feel like family. I'd highly recommend Fowler Volkswagen in Norman to friends and family. I look forward to do business with them within the next 6 to 12 months.

Purchased a new car on 25 Apr. I have only dealt with the sales team, but I am pleased. While it is not a unique car buying experience, they clearly put in effort to make a low stress, simple purchasing environment. There will always be the pushes for after sales of warranties etc. But, it is offered in a low threat transparent manner that demonstates the potential value to the customer. Definitely recommend Fowler VW for a new car.

They offered me a great price on my trade in, but increased the price on the vehicle accordingly. The price they had listed online was exactly the price they were asking for after my trade in... They were expecting me to give my running decent car away for nothing. If you actually believe my trade-in is not worth anything say that don't make it look like you are giving me a good deal.

Spent a significant amount of time with a salesman going over the features and price of a used vehicle. Was going to come to the dealership with a family member in order to purchase and drive the new vehicle home, only to have the offered price rescinded. My thought is if a customer is treated this way as a potential customer just imagine what it must be like afterwards.

By far, one of the best experiences I've had with a service department. Brian was more than helpful, I was getting multiple items serviced, and he offered a loaner vehicle right away. It's a good thing, because one of the last parts they were servicing was beyond repair, and had to be replaced. Of course, this was not in stock, and had to be ordered. By putting me in a loaner vehicle, he took away the hassle of being without a car for a week, and got me addicted to the Bluetooth connection in the meantime! All in all, Brian and Fowler Volkswagen took care of my car, and me, at every step of the way. I know my car is in good hands with them, these people love what they do, and you can't ask for more than that.

This dealership has a great sales staff, however, when it comes to service, not impressed. I know the name of the game is to make a profit, but to sacrifice customer service rather than doing what is right to fix your problem. Certified Pre Owned means very little to these people, even with a recurring problem from time of purchase. We were informed that CPO takes the worry out of buying a vehicle, but it just adds to the aggravation , especially since you pay top dollar for the certified status. I would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Fowler for NOT standing behind his vehicle! My last 3 vehicles have been bought from a Fowler dealership, but NO MORE. By the way, offering $100 discount is just an insult!

Took my VW Routan van in for recall work. I drove a passat as a loaner, keeping it all weekend. I fell inlove. Zach was awesome and spent 4 hours with me having conversation during the approval process making sure that i was treated like a person not just a paycheck. I love, love, love my new car

I have two VW products, both of which I bought through Mark Reeves at Fowler VW of Norman. Mark has been very helpful and informative, answering all of our questions about different VW models, and specifically about the ones we finally purchased. Mark was not only very knowledgeable on the features and operation of the vehicles, but also, being personable, courteous, and friendly, he was a real pleasure to do business with, enough so that I stop by 'up front' to say "hello" even when I am in the dealership for service work. When I am ready to purchase another vehicle, I'll definitely head back to Fowler VW and look for Mark!With the number of miles my wife and I drive, I am in the dealership for service quite frequently. I prefer to deal with a single point for service on my vehicles, and I have found Brian Smith to be an excellent choice. Brian has always been very courteous, knowledgeable, and always ready to help resolve any problems or service needs I might have. When I need to go 'back to service', I look for Brian.

We recently purchased a Touareg TDI from Fowler. Our approach to finding the right car and dealier was a little different than most and Eric Dreiling's willingness to think outside of the box is what set things up for us to be able to make a deal.We drove up from Dallas to buy our car and found Eric waiting for us to arrive. It was a rainy day and once through the door, we were treated like royalty. The Touareg we were interested in was pulled onto the showroom floor!Eric introduced us to Chris Burrus who did an excellent job with a walk through of the vehicle and then a test drive, making sure we were well versed in every feature / function on the TDI. We were already impressed with the vehicle from our research and a quick test drive at another dealer. After Chris was through we were convinced we could not find a better vehicle for our needs or a better place to buy than Fowler.Closing the deal was fast and painless. A week or so after we bought the Touareg, we had more questions. Chris had given us his card and cell number. He happily answered our questions even though he was on his day off!A month after we bought the car, we realized there was a mistake in the paperwork due to a misunderstanding on Fowler's part and an oversight on our part. Steve Mckenzie stepped in and was able to resolve the issue a day or two after we contacted him.The Touareg is a fantastic vehicle. The fit and finish is perfect, the vehicle feels solid on the road, handling / performance is amazing, it pulls our boat with ease and gets 29 mpg on the highway (without the boat of course). Fowler is a great dealership. The only downside is that we are not close enough to go to them for service which we are told is awesome.

Had a good relationship with salesman. Everything was good until going into financial services. They explained everything then hurried us through the signing process. It was my fault I didn't read close enough and they added almost a thousand dollars in extra warranty. When contacted they were arrogant. Would not trust this dealership. If you do read carefully! !

I first test drove several cars with Chris Burrus a few months ago. He was knowledgeable about the cars and had a great personality! I was by far the most enjoyable dealership experience I've had. I opted to wait to purchase until a later date. I tracked down a Passast that I really liked but it was in Texas. I could have gone to that dealership but wanted to work with specifically with Chris. He made the arrangements to get the car to Norman and then, to me in Tulsa. I was provided a loaner vehicle until today when my car was delivered. I am overjoyed with my purchase.

The staff at Fowler VW in Norman, Oklahoma, are simply Awesome!!!In the last 4 years have, I have bought 4 new VW Jetta TDIs from Fowler VW and I simply will not go anywhere else. Jimmy, Mark and the rest of the new car sales staff are the best I have ever dealt with. They do not pressure you into buying a car and I love it. Eric, the sales manager is great to work with. I came in last October and I wanted the new 2015 Jetta TDI SEL one month before they were officially released into the US market. He diligently searched the USA and found one in Houston. Then he sent a team down to Houston to exchange cars - trading for the one I bought and they drove mine back to Norman. It was delivered to me on the day Eric said it would be. The Service Manager Robert, and his team - Holly and Brian are very courteous and are always following up to ensure I am satisfied with my car and the services done. Robert even went on a short drive with me in my latest car to ensure the service I received was completed correctly and to my satisfaction. However, the main reason I buy my cars from Fowler is because their receptionist Waldi is so very nice and makes everyone feel relaxed and happy to be there. After four years of getting to know the staff at Fowler VW, it is more like meeting up with my friends when I come in, rather than a customer - dealer relationship.If you want the best value for your money combined with the best personal service, not to mention VW is the most practical car you can buy, you cannot beat the team at Fowler VW in Norman!- H. Went in just looking around and Chris Pickering was our salesman he was great and very informative. Did not pressure us to buy anything and the finance people weren't pushing anything on us to try an make the most money. And they also helped us get the best interest rate. The dealership closed before everything was finalized but Chris personally brought the final paperwork to me at work and to my wife at our house so we didn't have to drive all the way back home. I highly recommend going to see Chris he is awesome

I won my new VW Bug on June 26, 2015 at Newcastle Casino. I came to Fowler VW on Monday, June 29, 2015 to sign the ownership paperwork so I could go back to the casino and pick up my new car. Wesley Williams greeted me. He was very helpful and directed me to a place where I could sit down and offered me something to drink while I was waiting. This was by far the easiest car buying experience that I have ever had; since I won the car and so there was no haggling on the price! Even though I won the car, I would definitely come back here when I'm ready to purchase another car, which should be in the near future.

Great sales/service/parts personnel. I only use service for schedule maint. Always purchase a VW item from the parts dept. and chit chat with the sales personnel and the German Lady who is always there to assist in anyway she can. service dept have you in & out without delays. oh yes, one more thing, if needed, you can get a loaner vehicle or dealership will drive you to casino or shopping center - everyone has always been very pleasant

It's hard to find a automotive dealer that doesn't want to steal all your money, and actually do all the repairs to keep your car running; but I found that when I started dealing with my service provider Brian Smith and my technician Asher (forgot his first name) at Fowler Volkswagen. I have been a customer for 2 plus years and I just had to write a review after these last couple of services. There were a couple of things I needed done. I've had my 2006 Volkswagen Passat for about 7 years now and moved all over (military life). Recently my car hit the 90k mark and I needed a timing belt, also needed brake rotator and pad replacements, and then all of a sudden the airbag light came on out of nowhere! Not to mention right before that I had to get them to replace the spark plugs and something else I can't even remember. But the point is, although I needed all these repairs to my car Brian didn't hassle me to get everything done at one time and create this big bill that I could not afford like some other big dealers service departments would have just to make some money, he worked with me. He was upfront about what was needed immediately and one service at a time he was able to get everything done. Another thing I appreciated is the fact he had my car worked on by the same technician Asher. He explained that would probably be best because then the technician would be familiar with my car and everything it needed instead of just getting anyone to do it which gave me some ease that my car would be handled with car. So shout out to Asher the awesome tech!Brian always kept up communication...how long each service would take, if he had to order a part, how long it would take for it to come in and when the service would be completed. Often times he would even have a rental car available if needed as long as I had the appropriate documents...insurance info, license and etc. In general Fowler didn't try to swindle as much money as they could out of me, which helps a lot if you are on a budget like myself; I got coupons here and there in my email. One time (this must have been a higher power) but I found one on my windshield for a 20% off my next service when I stopped at a Wendy's. I remember for the spark plugs while I was stationed at Ft. Sill (which was about 1hr away from Norman) I got some tires from Hibon Tires, they also noted some other repairs I needed in the future and they were trying to charge me an extra $400 for something Fowler had already quoted me for $400 less! To me that was just confirmation that I was dealing with the right people at Fowler. I can't express how much I appreciate Brian Smith and Asher for providing awesome customer service and actual service to my car to keep it running because I paid it off about a year and a half ago so I really don't want to invest in another car anytime soon. But if I have to, it will definitely be another Volkswagen and based off the good experience with the service department alone, it will no doubt be bought from Fowler.

My boyfriend and I were going to purchase a preowned from another dealership when we wondered into Fowler. We were pleasantly surprised by the laid back atmosphere, especially since we were use to being bum rushed by cutthroat salesmen at other dealerships. Transparency is key in the way they conduct business. All cars have price tags matching their internet price. The sales consultants are very knowledgable about a wide range of makes and models. The Sales And Finance Managers spent an ample amount of their time active listening to our concerns and finding solutions to everything and then put it in writing! Chris Burrus was our sales consultant and he was fabulous. Extremely knowledgeable, genuine, and caring. After we purchased our vehicle he took the time to explain how everything worked from top to bottom. He also said if I have future questions just give him a call. John is the sales manager and he made us feel like family! Curtis is the finance guy and I trust him... That says a lot because I do not trust easily... I especially never thought I would trust a finance guy at a car dealership! He made me eat those words. I will only buy a car from this group because they have outstanding business ethics, morally sound individuals, and I love the laid back atmosphere! After spending over $2000 in service work on her beetle at Fowler in the last year my daughter had an issue with her beetle again. Fowler reviews the codes and suggested several repairs none of which did they promise to resolve the trouble lights. Additionally they charged over $100 for looking at the car which they would not apply to the service work.

I am the proud owner of a new Volkswagen Jetta. To say I was an excited, enthusiastic customer is an understatement. Ths car is the culmination of hard work and a step towards building my own business. I needed a reliable and safe vehicle in my price range (not huge since I m a self employed artist). I chose Fowler VW because of their commitment to the art community, Plaza District, local music scene, and my hometown of Norman. Travis was awesome on our test drive. I learned all the things I needed to know, and then he jammed with me as I played my first song in the car! He shared my excitement. Fowler VW is the place to buy a vehicle. I was never bombarded when I entered the car lot and purchased the car I was interest in for a great price. I worked with a young man named Josh who was more than willing to help me. He was friendly, attentive and wasn't your typical car salesman. A young man named Andrew was very helpful as well and visited with me while I waited and was quite comical which made my time there fly by. I hate going to car dealerships because of how the salesman bombard the customers. Even though I knew what I was going for & which salesman I was going through, I was not bombarded when I pulled onto the lot, & the salesman didn't know that I had already been speaking with Joshua & already knew which car I wanted. While I was waiting for everything to get finalized, I didn't have any worries about getting screwed over because I am a young female. Everyone that works there made me feel so comfortable & made sure I was taken care of. Joshua was so nice & also made sure that I wasn't taken advantage of & made sure that the Finance department, sales manager, & detail shop got me taken care of. I had been pushed off a few dealerships prior to coming to Fowler Volkswagen, I'm a young girl and a first time buyer with student loans and no credit. None knowing I had a pre-approved bank draft in my purse. we weren't bombarded when we pulled onto the dealership. we parked got out of our car and started walking toward the used cars. Josh walked up shook our hands and introduced himself, he was very friendly and nice (and easy on the eyes). We never felt pressured the whole experience. Josh was helpful the whole time. Even after I was throwing every reason out that screamed I couldn't get approved to buy. He expressed he would try to help me get into the car I wanted and if it doesn't work we could still shake hands and be friends! He was very funny and made us feel at ease the whole time. He made our car buying experience fun and enjoyable the way it should be buying a new car. I will absolutely refer Josh to everyone I know!!! Josh was awesome!!

I have been looking for a new car for months for my wife. Volkswagen was one of the choices I had in mind. In the course of a weekend we looked at Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra GT, Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Jetta. After driving all of them, the Jetta was the one. We could have gone to many VW dealers within 500 miles of OKC, because we wanted a car, not needed one. We chose Fowler VW because of their reputation and the ability of dealer trades. We went and met with our salesman, Justin Bond, who helped us out. We told him what we were looking for including exterior color and options. I felt like I was treated well and felt no pressure from Justin. I'm 58 and remember pressure from places like Lynn Hickey Dodge in OKC and Cal Worthington Dodge in Los Angeles. Our experience at Fowler Volkswagen was something I will remember as a GOOD experience. Justin made sure everything I asked for in the make-ready process was done and done correctly. Justin even followed up a week later. I will make sure I tell people where I bought the car and our salesmans name. Note that I said OUR salesman, not just a salesman.

I went for a test drive for a 2010 mazda cx-9. The test drive went great till I got it home. It started to shift hard! Took it to a local mazda dealer was told it was 2.5 qts low in transmition fluid. Not only that they just gave me a bs story about how the service department missed it they wouldnt take the car back even after I told them I wanted my money back. Will never refer them to anyone screwed me royaly

This is a great dealership with wonderful staff. We bought a used bmw last night and the experience was great! Our salesman, Jordan Miles was a very polite young man and went out of his way to help any way he could, in fact he called me this morning to make sure I liked my car and everything was going good. Even though it is not a bmw dealership he was very helpful and educated on our car and was able to help us with all the features. Jimmy in financing was just as polite. He was very upfront and did not hide any little fees. The entire staff at this dealership is great. We was welcomed by every staff member we came in contact with including service men who were just passing through the lobby. I highly suggest this dealer for new and used cars and Jordan Miles as a salesman. All thumbs up from me!

I went to Fowler VW on a Thursday to look at two used VW CC's I found on their website. When I arrived I met Travis, who was friendly, and we took one of the two cars for a test drive. We only drove the one car because I was told the other one, a year older car, had already been sold. I asked Travis why the older car had been priced a few thousand higher even though they were the same model, trim and similar mileage. He told me there could be several reasons, but no specifics. Anyway, during our test drive Travis said the car hadn't been serviced yet and he didn't feel confident driving it on the highway so my test drive was limited to city streets only. When we got back, I noted one of the front rims was bent and lug nut covers were missing. Travis told me these would be fixed and when the car had gone through service he would call me to set up another test drive, probably the next day. I said sounds great, as I was very interested in the car. Before I left I met John, a sales manager, who told me the car would be VW certified and that would give me a 2 yr/ 24k mile warranty. Friday, Travis called to tell me the car was still not ready and it would probably be Monday before it went into service. On Saturday, I received a message that Travis was trying to get in touch with me regarding the car. I called Fowler and was told Travis was busy, so a sales manager named Dave took my call. He told me the car had been ready since 11:00 am and Travis had called me then. Actually, it was 4:30 pm when Travis called. Dave also told me someone was coming to look at the car at 7:30 and pressured me to come look at it before they got there. He told me I could "hold it" if I put down $500. He also told me the car would be certified, but since it already had 47k miles on it the certification would only give me a 13k mile warranty. I told him I'd see if I could make it. Later that evening, around 8:30, I called again and spoke with Travis. He told me the other people didn't buy the car (bought something new) and I told him I would come Monday morning to test drive the car again. He assured me it would be ready. Monday morning I again went to Fowler VW to test drive the car. Travis was busy, so I was pawned off on another sales person. We took the car for a test drive, but it was obvious the car had not gone through service and was in the same condition as when I saw it on Thursday. During our test drive a loud rattle was coming from underneath the car, which turned out to be a loose under body panel. The rim was still bent, the lug nut covers were still missing, and to top it off there was no gas in the car. Again, my test drive was limited. When we got back I also noted a trim piece on the trunk lid was damaged. At this point I felt like my time was being wasted, but since I was still interested in the car I went ahead and went inside. The new salesman played the usual car sales tricks with me, making a list of the car and all that would be fixed, and getting me to initial I would buy the car if the price was "right." He asked me about trading my car, and I said I was interested but it depended on what I was offered. John the sales manager looked at my car and then the sales guy came back with their offer, which was half of what KBB and every other source showed my car's trade-in value to be, plus they ADDED another $300 to the price of their car to cover the broken trunk trim piece. I was told my car was too high mileage for them to sell, and John told me he "didn't sell cars to Kelley Blue Book" so their pricing didn't matter and they'd have to sell it at auction. I have a friend that's a used car dealer and I knew a car like mine, with similar high mileage, was sold at the local dealers auto auction a couple weeks prior for more than the KBB trade-in price. When I pointed this out to John he had no answer. Without my trade, the price on their car had already gone up $300 to fix the trim piece. But when I looked over the paperwork that was showed me to confirm the VW certified warranty was actually for 2 yrs/ 24k miles, I saw that this car was supposedly already inspected and certified! But one of the first items checked off on the inspection list is any broken trim, which is supposed to be fixed before the car is certified. At this point, Fowler VW was offering a supposedly inspected and certified car for sale with a bent rim, loose under body panel and broken trim piece. The car is now listed on their website for $500 more. And the other CC that was supposedly sold the week before is still listed for sale. It would seem, from my experience, this dealership is not really interested in selling used cars and will waste your time with false promises and questionable sales tactics. And the VW certification is no better than any other extended warranty you could probably get for less money with your financing. Follow up: Purchased a used CC, same year, same model, lower price and with fewer miles at another dealer who gave me twice what Fowler offered for my trade-in, i.e KBB.

I purchased a New Turbo Beetle in August of 2012. I have not been happy with if for various reasons so considered trading it for something different. My husband contacted Mr. Avila and he was sorry but could only offer us $17,500 trade in value for it and we had paid $26,500 just a couple of months earlier and the vehicle only had 1,500 miles on it. So we took it to Car Max and got a cash offer of $20,000. It sure seems the dealer you bought it from ought to be able to offer you a better deal than a stranger? So just beware they do not really care if they have repeat business or not. He tried to change the numbers around on a couple of different vehicles, but we were still only getting $17,500 for our trade in. I only had one contact with the service department once and they were supposed to check on it and call me right back and I am still waiting. So I am just saying buyer beware and don't plan on them treating you fairly if you aren't happy.

This was definitely the best car buying experience I've ever had. I went in to test drive a new Passat that I had been researching for months. JR was very friendly and knowledgeable and at no point did I feel pressured or hurried. I ended up deciding to purchase the car and trade in my previous car. I never had to haggle and they even gave me a fair amount for my trade in. I've bought cars in the past and it always seemed at least a little scammy; this wasn't like that at all! The price they quoted me was the same as vw.com, they got my paperwork done very quickly and the service was just outstanding. I love my car and will probably be buying my next car from Fowler VW.

I bought a used jeep from this dealer I am happy with my jeep. The people were friendly and enjoyed the visit and buying experience. Now for the bad, though they were really friendly I felt like I was told things to just make the sale examples told new tires on my jeep but are not new tires and after taking off the spare tire there was a tire plug in the sidewall of the tire which I felt should have been takin care before selling the car. I was also told that the top on the jeep was brand new that they put it on there obviously wasn't brand new. Though I should have been more observant while checking the jeep out......I also feel i should be told the truth like yes you might need new tires by winter and the top is not brand new but in good condition. I also called the dealership to express my concern with there sale tactics and felt that I was brushed under the rug.

I forgot the name who took my appointment on the phone, but it started with him. He was really friendly and sincere over the phone. Then when when I got to my appointment, Mr. Robert Lackey helped me out. Best customer service I've received at a dealership. Very friendly. Waiting for my service was good too because Mr. Lackey hooked me up and got me a ride to the mall, so I wouldn't be bored. Then didn't have to wait long to get picked back up. My car was ready and good to go once I have arrived back at the dealership. Overall, great experience. All employees were friendly and nice. The guy I spoke on the phone to set up my appointment saw me and remember my name and greeeted me and welcomed me at the dealership. Great waiting area with nice leather couches and LCD TV and complimentary drinks were offered. I reccommend this dealership and in 4 year I would like for them to contact me because I'll be interested in trading my car for a newer model.

If you need to get your VW worked on, GO SEE Stephanie Stout. Best Service Dept. experience ever. Super friendly (and funny..., bonus). She was all about customer satisfaction. She is my preferable service consultant as long as I'm close to Norman. She's a Pro..., hear me? Pro.The dealership that I purchased my first new car from is in Dallas. Which is some 3 hours away. I had to chose between Wichita Falls and OKC, so I did the requisite internet research and settled upon Fowler. So far every VW dealership that I've been to had a stellar service department, but I still get slightly anxious when going to a new service dept., like going to a new doctor for the first time.Thank God for Stephanie. Totally made me feel comfortable. Couldn't ask for more.Scheduled the 10k mile service for my '12 Touareg, also suspected that one of my tires had a slow leak.Told Steph what I suspected. Said that she'd come get me when the mechanic isolated the problem.I also asked her about how the clean diesel's blue fluid works since I was told that the engine won't start if it runs out.She gave me the skinny on what I need to know, offered to show me how to refill it on the fly (since I told her I was going to be making a serious road trip in the next couple months), and then hooked me up with a jug of blue fluid. Good move.After the mechanics found the nail in my slow leaking tire, they plugged and patched it on the cheap. Such an awesome move.Steph has totally thrown the grading curve on dealer service. She pretty much has ruined it for everyone else. Haha.Definitely going back to Fowler at next opportunity.Thanks, Steph.

My car has had a couple of flex pipes break. I had it fixed at another VW dealership in town and it broke again. The cost of a flex pipe isn't cheap, but Fowler was 30% cheaper on price AND labor. They're always friendly and they understand my concerns as a customer. Rob went above and beyond with my issues to fix them quickly and properly. WE went in to look at a vehicle we had found in an auto magazine and they no longer had it but William immediately found another vehicle that we really liked. He was very friendly, and very helpful. He stayed a little late talking and working for us. And Chris the finance guy was awesome as well, he also stayed late and worked hard. Brought my Passat to this dealer to address an intermittent problem. They had me bring it in, and 2 days and $600 later sent me on my way with the assurance that the problem was fixed (Throttle issue).2 weeks later had the same problem, brought it back. This time they charged me another $400 to fix the same problem that should have been fixed the first time!They made mo offer to try to address the issue, just that they were right and I was wrong and there was nothing that they were going to do to discuss to make it right.THIS IS A HORRIBLE SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!!

I have had electrical type problems with my new beatle since I purchased it. I had taken it to the V.W dealer in the city but they never Fixed the problem as it kept recurring. I took it then to Fowler and worked with Robert Lackey. He was always considerate and helpful and cordial. Robert showed real interest in getting these. Issues resolved on a permanent basis. He was always understanding of my frustrations and went the extra mile to assist me in working with my warranty people to have these issues covered under the warranty. When parts such as wiring harness installed kept failing he got it replaced with a second one under the warranty. I have worked with other staff at Fowler also, but Robert is an exceptional employee. He is able to make the customer feel their concerns and issues they are having with their vehicle are as important to them as they are to the customer. In my case when I was having frustrations in getting the problems fixed with the other dealer in okc He always went the second mile to get the issues fixed . Every time I have been there Robert has provide quality service and has restored my confidence in V W products and dealerships. I now go into Fowler VW with confidence that whatever issues I have with my vehicle will be resolved while providing cordial and quality service to their customers. I will recommend Fowler V.W highly For their quality service. I also want to recommend and acknowledge Robert Lackey to the Fower management for the quality custo,mer service he provides to their customers. My Fowler VW experience began with the service department. They went above and beyond with customer service including finding me a loaner so that I could make it back to Lawton to perform 24 hr Staff Duty the next day. My car was diagnosed as needing a new transmission, which wasn't looking like the most financially sound idea instead of buying another vehicle.William Avila took on this tedious task of helping me through this decision resulting in my first brand new vehicle purchase. He was very patient in allowing me all week to keep the rental car until I had plenty of time to drive up and really look the lot over.He provided numerous purchase options for me and fielded daily questions from my parents living nearly 1700 miles away in case they needed to co-sign or assist with the purchase. It helped immensely having a sales representative who really puts in the extra time and attention to help the buyer through a sale, whether it be a new or used vehicle. He is great at providing car recommendations and assessing your budget to put you in the best car choice possible under the circumstances. It is bittersweet having to not only give up a car you love, but to also be all alone on what should be a really exciting day. William and the rest of the Fowler VW staff were extremely friendly and understanding. They made Fowler VW seem like a home where I wasn't alone throught my vehicle purchase, and although I was sad about leaving behind my old car, they helped me become enthusiastic about driving the new one. Fowler VW in Norman was a pleasure to work with when looking for a new car for our family! We went in "just looking" and by the end of the day we drove away in a 2012 Passat! Thanks to Jimmy our sales guy for the no pressure approach to buying a car. We went it saying that we were going to be looking at a few other brands of cars that day and no one in the dealership ever said a thing bad about the other brands that we were looking at. Jonathon the owner was super nice and encouraged us to look around also. In the end we obviously didn't do much other looking, nothing compares to my new Passat. We did have to come back later in the afternoon to pick up the car and had to bring our kids (5 years and 15 months) with us. I have had a great experience with Fowler Volkswagen Service Department in repair and maintenance of my Volkswagen. Rob is wonderful to work with! When I decided to look for a newer car, I decided to look at Fowler VW first. I have had bad experiences with car salesmen in the past, but when I met David Hall, he was friendly, not pushy at all and was very upfront in answering my questions. I felt very comfortable with him, but I did not want to make a decision that evening and told him that I would be back that week-end. He was very understanding and he did not try to talk me into anything. He did call me several times on Sat. just to find out what time I was coming back, as he had another appointment that same day, but he always seemed more like a helpful friend.When I returned to Fowler's, David devoted his entire attention to me, was not in any hurry, was helpful in answering all my questions, and was very kind and courteous. I found a 2010 Jetta that I really liked and David stayed with me and helped me through the entire purchase process. It went very smoothly and that evening I drove home with a car that I really, really like a lot. I feel that I got a good deal, not only for the newer car, but also for my older VW Bug trade in.David made the process pleasant, and enjoyable. He even took pictures of me in my old car and my new one. It was a pleasure to buy a car through David Hall and Fowler Volkswagen. Thanks!

I went to Fowler Volkswagen after having a horrible experience at another used car dealership. Fowler Volkswagen was a completely different experience. They were nice, there was no pressure, and they got me the car that I wanted. William Avila sold me the car, but the finance guy and head of the department were also fantastic. I've had the car for almost a year and the only problem I've had with it, despite the high amount of miles the car had, was a nail in the tire and flickering headlight that was easily fixed. Rob, their service guy, has always been helpful. Should I buy a second car, I'm buying from Fowler Volkswagen.

Alex was my salesman and he is a great guy. However, I hope to never have to return to that dealership again. The sales price was settled before I made the 1-1/2 hr trip. When I arrived, suddenly, all was different. They honored the deal but were very unhappy about it. There was only one key, I was promised the second key. Alex got it for me but it was 2-3 weeks later. The DVD installation had to be arranged after I received a phone call from the owner of the lot. The used car manager-Chris, passed me in the dealership and I asked if he could help me get the key. He said he didn't keep keys on his desk, I got too good of a deal for him to worry about a key. I had already wished I could just get my car back and make the whole deal disappear. I made extra trips to the dealer for the warranty info, the key, & the enviroshield. I had no information on the warranty I purchased and had 30 days to cancel. How do u analyze it if you have no information? Usually you are given a packet when its purchased. I would like to say you can just trust what you are promised but reality is quite different. I picked up the enviroshield today, 6 wks later? Only because I paid for it and kept bugging them until they gave it to me. I don't get that? Alex loaned me a car when the DVD was installed and facilitated everything he could. Lastly, it took 5 weeks to get my tag info. We had a front page ad in our newspaper that we would be penalized and ticketed if dealer tags were expired. I drove around nervous all month. I guess Chris couldn't help it but I hated driving w/o a tag. Again...why should you have to ask over and over for things that just go with a car purchase? If I had known it would be so much hassle, I would've kept looking. There are plenty of other cars. My car was in great condition and will probably last many more years, I wasn't in a hurry to trade but absolutely love the car I bought. I would help Alex any way I can. That's the only reason I am completing this survey. Alex put up with my constant phone calls and visits with a smile each time. He is a delight! Used car manager Chris, however is a walking timebomb waiting to blow. Public relations does not agree w/him. Everytime I returned, Alex met me in the lot so I could avoid any interaction w/Chris.Alex is the best! He is always courteous and happy. I appreciate him!

William worked all avenues to find the car we wanted without us having to come in and talk it over like other dearlers wanted. He let me know I could come in and he would set down and go over all the options if and when I needed. I did come in and he was able to sqaure me away with what I felt really matter for our car purchase.

Jimmy was very helpful from the moment I entered the dealership. He greeted me and I asked to see the Red Convertible VW I saw on the Internet. The car was available to test drive (not always the case at other dealerships even after calling). Jimmy answered all of my questions honestly and left nothing to guess. I got a fair price for my VW trade-in. Jimmy went the extra mile to be sure I was happy with my new VW and that I knew how everything worked. Chris in Finance worked hard to be sure I got the best APR for my loan and kept the monthly payments affordable for my budget. Chris was very upfront and honest about the financing which is a very fresh change to other dealerships. I definitely will return to Fowler when I decide to trade/buy again and for car maintenance. I will most definitely recommend all I know to be sure to visit Fowler for their car and service needs.

Purchased a Golf TDI that had to be transported from another dealer. We had been searching for a color and certain hierarchal options. Others tried to get us to accept something on the lot or made minimal effort to locate a vehicle meeting our desires. William was courteous, knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive. Though we contacted Fowler later in our search, he located a vehicle promptly, answered our questions directly and had it ready as promised. This was the second VW we purchased in OKC. This purchase was much more pleasant than our previous dealings with their local competitor which was our only local option then. You expect to pay MSRP for a Golf TDI, but still felt good about the value we were getting and was very pleased with the overall buying experience. William and Jeremy had us in and out in a most timely manner.

I really liked the whole thing. Car salesman usually push for things but Jimmy just let us take control and showed options. I'm sure there was a trick in there but I didn't mind. Very friendly and enjoyable place too. The only bad thing was waiting for the finance guy to finish with another customer, but that wasn't his fault.

Jimmy and those at Fowler VW are very friendly, informative and eager to help in anyway. Upon arrival we were met by many friendly associates who were welcoming and friendly. They offered us water and showed us the vehicles we had hoped to see. In addition, Jimmy is very knowledgable concerning the vehicles on the lot and was eager to go the extra mile to help serve us. Once we picked out the vehicle we wanted they entire team did all that they could to get us the right price, rate, and payment. They were not pushy nor were they impatient. I brought my 2004 Blue Convertible VW Beetle in for service and was greeted by Robert in Service. Robert was very friendly and informative of the cost of repairs to my Beetle. He also answered all my questions regarding the repairs. While my car was being serviced I waited in their comfortable customer area. When I picked up my car a short while later, it was clean and everything was serviced as we had discussed (unlike when I've picked up at previous other service dealers). It was a very pleasant experience and I have recommended Fowler VW to my friends! Working 7 days a week, I am particularly happy they are open until 9pm which helps me keep up with my car maintenance since most service areas close at 5pm or 6pm and close early on Saturday.

I had purchased my 2007 Beetle at Cable VW new. At that time there wasn't a dealership in Norman, I live in Blanchard and was thrilled when Fowler opened the business in Norman. Not only is it easier and closer for me in Norman, but I can honestly say that there is night and day difference in the two dealerships. I have taken my Beetle in for service 3 times recently and the guys in service are always friendly and helpful, never any pressure from them, and will take time with me at the time I come in. If it is going to be something they have to set up an appt for they are alwways eager to make it easiest for me. Whether it be a short stay, they make sure I'm comfortable in the hospitality room with TV, drinks and magazines and WI-FI or a lengthy stay, they offer me a ride to the mall or a restaurant of my choice, it is always a pleasant experience. When I had a little fender bender, they directed me to a body shop where the work turned out wonderfully!When I went in today, Rob even remembered me by name and got right to solving the issue that had brought me in. I told him I needed my car at tip top shape since my husband was starting chemo and radiation treatments and I needed to know that I could depend on my lil Beetle to perform for me! Both of the service repts are always very helpful, but it is usually Rob that I deal with and he always makes me feel very comfortable. I purchased a used '08 Jeep Sierra from Fowler Volkswagen, and was super pleased with my entire experience here. From the moment I was greeted to the point that Jimmy Roberts, my salesman, helped me take my stuff out of my old car and put it into my new car in 110 degree heat I was consistently amazed at the level of personalized service I received from them. I have bought several cars in my lifetime and never was a car buying experience so pleasant... in fact "Pleasant" would never have been a word I would have ever considered to go hand in hand with a car dealership before now. Never once was I pressured into making a buying decision, and Jimmy did an outstanding job of answering any questions I had. My profession is Sales and I know all the tricks of the trade. It was very pleasant to have a salesman who honestly cared about his customer's needs over his desire to make a buck. When it came time to talk money, Jeremy was quite a pleasant surprise. He did an excellent job of taking care of my needs and getting everything I wanted. When all was said and done the Sales Manager Chris Hale came out and shook my hand thanking me for my business with them. It really shocked me because he took time away from his lunch to thank me for doing business with them. However the most surprising part of my experience was when Mr Fowler took time out of his day to come by and give me his thanks for my business. He took time to talk with a used car customer, telling me about his first vehicle, which was a Jeep. He gave me some pointers to look for since this was my first Jeep experience. I felt like I was buying a car from a friend not a dealership. But the cool thing is my new friend has all the backing of a professional dealership! Fowler Volkswagen has won my business for life!

This is my second new VW and this buying experience was so much better than the first. We were greeted and taken very good care of from the moment we walkin in the dealership. Sales man William Avila and financial guy were very plesent to work with. We walked away feeling like we got a great deal on a awesome car (2012 VW Jetta TDI. We were lookin for an older model Manual Transmission Turbo Diesel Jetta. We were not having any luck so I sent out an email to the two local VW dealers and asked them to call me if they received the above as a trade in. I was surprised when Jimmy called figuring that they would not even remember me since I was looking for something so spacific and used that they would not take the time to even keep my information. Much to my surprise Jimmy called me and had just what we had requested. I am hoping that they have another one come in because we would love to have two. So without any effort on our part we are the proud owners of a TDI Jetta. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for new or used.

Wow I am super excited...I am waiting on my NEW 2012 Passat, Jimmy Roberts at Fowler VW was amazing! I first started e-mailing Jimmy about the new Passat and my emails got returned extremly quick!(WOW) And then asap I was notified that the new passats were in and I needed to come in and look! The next day I was in Fowler Looking, they took the New TDI off the showroom floor for me to test drive, it was awesome!!! Therfore i ordered one:) Really wish they could have come off the price some...but I want what I want and a 2012 Passat is what i am getting! Of the many cars I have bought over the past few years, this is by far one of the best experiences that I have had. Not only was the salesman (Derrek) incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of each car I looked at, he was one of the friendliest car salemen I have ever worke with. There was no pressure to buy, and they understood that I was going to compare their car with others. Even though they knew that I was going to head a down the street to look at another car, they didn't hold anything back when it came to trying to make a deal, and got after it in order to give me the best price possible. Not only was I impressed with the knowledge and demeanor of all the people I talked to at the dealership, the service work that comes along with the purchase of the car is amazing. ALL scheduled work (oil changes etc.) is taken care of for the first 36K miles! This is one of, if not the only, dealerships where I have truly felt that they were in it to work FOR the customers and not just the bottom dollar.

The employees at the dealership, including Jonathan Fowler, were all involved in the sale of my VW Jetta -- which was on New Year's Eve 2010. The 10,000 mile service was scheduled on the day and time that I requested and I was back behind the wheel in an hour and twenty minutes. A great touch was the voucher at the car wash (which is only about a mile away). My vehicle was completely detailed and I drove home (163 miles) a very happy and satisfied customer! We arrived to upgrade from our 2000 VW Jetta, but hadn't decided yet on new or used. Last time we bought a Jetta, we had to go to Texas because we were unhappy with the customer service at the VW dealerships here in Oklahoma (all two of them!). We decided to try Fowler since they were not around the last time we bought a VW. Our salesperson, William, was very knowledgeable about the VW brand. He knew all about our old Jetta as well as all the new ones we were looking at. He was happy to let us drive whichever car we wanted and I felt the buying experience was a good one. William was friendly and the the process to reach an agreeable price wasn't dreadful. William made sure we knew about all the features in our car and went above and beyond to make sure the car was ready for us. We had to wait about 30 min to get into the finance office, but once in, it took less than half an hour to do all the paperwork (which made me VERY happy!). Then we drove off in our new 2011 Jetta bought here in Oklahoma! Thanks Fowler.

I had a great experience with Fowler VW. My salesman (David Hall) was very friendly and helpful. He listened to what I was wanting, allowed me a great opportunity to test drive the vehicle I was interested in. He even told me that a certified pre-owned vehicle with all my criteria would be returned on Monday (I stopped in on a Saturday). He called me on Monday and told me that "my car" had arrived. When I arrived he had the car ready for me to test drive and I was very happy with it. I got a fair price for my trade-in and after some negotiation, we arrived at the price I was looking for. I love my new VW Tiquan and the great experience I had at Fowler VW of Norman, OK.

We purchased our vehicle on the 21st of May. A jetta diesel 2010. On the day we bought the car everyone bent over backwards and made it a fairly easy process and we were ecstatic that we had finally found a dealership that we could be proud of and reccomend to others. It was the after care where everything went south and we realized that this dealership was no different from any of the others we have dealt with in the past. We realized the second day we had the car that the cd player did not work, which we thought was ok because we had purchased the navigational system. We brought the car in, the following wed, to get the nav system put in and were given a rental car to bring home. Lou had not listened to my request for a SUV as a rental and so we had to wait to get the correct car and then go fill it up with gas ourselves. Not what had been promised. The next day Lou calls and says the car is ready all it needed was the keys to be synced up. I drove from Mustang Ok to Norman and waited 1 hr and 45 minutes just to be told that they were having problems syncing the keys, when it was really the fact that they couldn't get the nav system working and so Lou had called and told me the car was ready when it wasn't. A waste of my time and the dealerships gas and mileage on a rental. So I came home and we were able to pick the car up the next day but without the second key, I would have to come back the following Tues to get that done. So I did and when I got home with my second key I found out it wasn't a keyless entry like what we wanted and expected, instead it was a valet key. We would have gladly negotiated and or paid for the second keyless entry key but we were not given a choice. Also when talking with Robert Lackey I find out that while the car is under warranty it needs to be taken to the dealership for its upkeep, not something we were told to begin with and that if we do not do the recommended maintenance the warranty could be void. Not something anybody told us about when we were buying the car. When it comes to purchasing a vehicle, its not always the money involved but the expectation that you are a valuable customer, but when I tried to talk with Chris Hale about my displeasure over the valet key he did not treat me like a customer at all, rather like an ex-wife who did not deserve his time and attention or respect. The only reason you were given a 4 on friendliness is for the first day we were there and for a gentleman named Mark, who I do not know the last name of but who helped me on the day I was waiting for the car, he really went over and beyond. Also, Chris, the man in finance who worked with us on the night we bought the car was exceptional. But other than that I am hoping another dealership will be better to deal with since we have to take the car to one while it is under warranty.

The sales man that helped us was very nice an friendly but the over guy chris he was rude.. we came in to trade are diesel pickup in for a jetta. Well when we bought the jetta we didnt have the diesel on site an they aprazed us for it an we made a deal then we came back to bring it in and the chris guy stormed out of the door an was cusing at me saying "what the fuck u didnt tell us it was a flat be" an he was going on an on yelling at me as his customer! First off that was not good sales. He had no reason to do what he did an we told are sales man john that it had a flat bed an chris kept callin us liars an we didnt know he didnt understand us!! I will NEVER buy a car from fowler voltswagon again!!! NEVER!! An i hope u dont either not til the fire CHRIS!!!

Derek and Chris were both top notch and professional. They weren't over eager and didn't make it all about the sale. Derek worked with us for a couple of weeks to find the right fit for Mark and I. They didn't pressure us to jump into a vehicle or a price we weren't comfortable with. Whe we did finally make the selection everything went very fast and smooth. We appreciated that Derek introduced us to key people we would be working with at the dealership if we ever came in for service or questions. Derek has been great providing us with a 2 week and 1 month follow up to make sure the car we purchased we are still satisfied with. I went to get some recalls fixed in my old volkswagen and decided to purchase a new one after my husband spoke to Alex. Alex was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. Everyone at the dealership was helpful including finance. i am very happy with my purchase. When filling out my paper work I had my son in there (2 years old) and all the guys were more than happy to entertain him as well. I would recommend this dealership to anyone!

Overall the experience was good. Helpful sales staff that wanted to ensure you were taken care of. However, I wish from the time I came to pick up the new car to the time the paperwork was signed would have gone more smooth with the finance person, Mr. Banda. I had reservation plans that evening and due to the time it took to agree upon the paperwork (which I mean agree to what was originally promised the previous evening) took almost to 2 hours. I had to cancel my plans that had been made for almost a month because it left me with no time to prepare. That was upsetting that my time wasn't important but to gain more on a sale of a car, especially as a family member of management with the Fowler company.

I just bought a 2008 Jetta and got a wonderful deal. I hate high-pressure sales, but everyone there was easygoing and pleasant to work with. I took several test drives and then picked a different car at the last minute. I went to Fowler looking for a specific car I found on AutoTrader.com. I saw the car as soon as I pulled onto the lot and made a b-line for it. Instead of walking up and telling me all of the details (which I had already seen on the site), he grabbed the keys and we test drove the car. I never felt like I was being "sold" on the car. His laid-back sales technique was refreshing and disarming. I mentioned that I was also looking for a used truck for a friend of mine and he showed me a truck that was in the price range I could afford. Honestly, it was a little beat up. However, William told me that they would be replacing the windshield and two tires(the two biggest issues aside from some hail damage), but they ended up replacing the windshield and all four tires. I was able to get the car at the price I originally intended to pay and I got a much nicer, newer truck for my friend than I originally expected. William was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, the pricing was spot on, and overall the experience was hassle-free and painless. I will definitely recommend the dealership to anyone I know who is looking for a new or used car. Wonderful Job.

Originally made contact with Fowler VW throught the internet. Within about an hour after my on-line inquiry, Jimmy Roberts called me back to discuss what I was looking for. I was looking for a smaller, more fuel efficient car for myself, but my wife saw a Routan minivan and thats what we ended up with (on my first visit). I was so impressed with the dealership and my experience, that I returned a few weeks later and purchased a Jetta Sportwagen to use for my daily commute to work. So far both vehicles have been excellent. I visited the service department (Rob Lackey)for scheduled maintanence and was very impressed with them as well. If I have any questions, whenerver I call and talk to Jimmy and/or Rob, they are always helpful and take the time to give me answers to the questions I have. It has been a great experience working with the Fowler VW Team: Jimmy in Sales, Waldi and Donna in the office, the finance department and the service/parts department. Customer service was great before, during, and after the sale. Everyone was friendly, polite, interactive, and honest. They did a great job showing and explaining to me everything I wanted. They also let me test drive any car that interested me. Overall experience was beyond expectation! Met all my needs plus more. Price was very fair and I've enjoyed every moment of my car. I even bugged them today (2 weeks later) and they still responded right away. You better make your way out to Volkswagen of Norman and ask for William Avila. You won't go wrong! :)

I was so unhappy with the Volkswagen dealerships in Oklahoma a few years ago, that I literally bought my vehicle at that time at a VW dealership in Dallas. But, then Fowler opened its VW dealership in Norman and things definitely changed for me. In fact, my experience with them -- and my salesman, William Avila, in particular -- was so ABOVE satisfactory, that before I buy any vehicle in the future, I will at least contact them first to see what they can do to help me out. I'm a big, BIG fan.
