I had been looking for a car for about a week. I went to Fox Valley VW in Schaumburg and met Pete, he is very different from all of the other sales people I erver met thta week or any other time.He is kind and attentive. Took his time involved others, did not pressure me. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything, took me for a test drive and explained all the features in all the vehicles. I canme back three times. In between I went to other dealers.At the end of the day it was Pete that sold me on the car and Volkswagom. I will recommend others to work with Pete and will certainly work with him in future purchases. Thank you Pete!

I have been a long time customer of VW Schaumburg. The service department was great dealing with issues related to my Jetta TDI wagon. However, it was time to trade in this car. I still wanted a wagon and decided to go with Golf Wagon. Matt and John were extremely helpful throughout my several months ordeal deciding whether we were going to get a used car or new. We decided on new car - they went out and found the model in the car and features I wanted. They had it shipped to their location. They had most of the paperwork completed before I even got to their location. I was very satisfied with my experience.

I first came to Fox Valley VW Schaumburg to test drive a potential replacement car following an accident. I test drove the car of my 16 year old self's dreams - a red VW Jetta. I did not purchase the 2013 Jetta I test drove because all of the issues regarding the accident were not resolved.After a month of research and test driving 5 other vehicles (2015 Jetta, 2015 Golf GTI, 2013 GTI, 2015 Golf TSI, 2014 Suburu Impreza Hatch) I finally decided upon which car model I would buy. Even though I had visited Fox Valley VW on two separate occasions for test drives - no one ever pushed me into a sale. They truly wanted me to be happy with my car purchase. This is one of the biggest reasons I came back to this dealer when I decided I wanted a 2016 Golf GTI S. Matt and John worked very hard to help me get me into the car I wanted for a price I could afford. They even found the color I wanted, since it was not currently on their lot. Since purchasing my Tornado Red Golf GTI S, Matt hasn't stopped helping me. He's been there to answer all my questions about the car as well as wrap up everything post purchase. It's really great to have a salesperson who supports you after your sale. I am so grateful that I was able to work with Matt and upgrade my dreams from a 2007 Tornado Red Jetta to a 2016 Tornado Red GTI!Thank you Fox Valley VW Schaumburg!

Ive actually been a client of this location for years. Out of choice. I have gone and visited the other VW dealers around town and have found Fox Valley to be extremely reliable, knowledgeable, and efficient at the services they provide.I just purchased a new GTI. The conversation from the beginning to the end was really enjoyable. They worked with me to reach what I wanted both in the vehicle and in price. They actually showed a caring attitude and a huge interest. Matt and John were extremely courteous and knowledgeable about the cars. I had visited with other VW dealerships and they weren't coming across that way.I would recommend the Fox Valley VW dealership to anyone. Car buying is a tough thing to swallow - but these people really work a making it a good business decision.

I was promised my car by Saturday or the latest on the Monday, two weeks later I still have not heard from them and I always had follow up with them so finally I decided not to go with this dealership. they are cocky and could care less about your business, unless they make a great deal off of you than they would go above and beyondI would not recommend them at all.

I will never go back to this dealer ever again. Had some work done under warranty and I guess the techs don't care much for doing warranty work cause they don't get paid the same amount. So there mistake cost me $5000 to fix at another shop. I thought going to a VW dealer would be the right thing to do guess not cause if a VW certified tech can't do the work the right way might as well go some where else and pay less. Thought it I was a good customer had all my work done at that dealer even bought a new car from them. Never again will I go to this dealership ever, even if my car is about to fall apart!

I love Jennifer's friendly, sincere greeting on the phone. It just sets up the entire experience to be positive. The other day she had pumpkin cookies which were a fun treat while I waited! I found the service at Fox Valley VW to be outstanding. I brought in my 2012 Beetle with a check engine light concern. The part that was causing the problem was 5 months beyond the warranty period, but they fixed it at no cost as a good will gesture. They also fixed two other potential problems, again, all at no charge. They even vacuumed out my car! Ryan was terrific at keeping me informed as to what was happening the whole time. They exceeded my expectations and I will be a return customer when the need arises.

We didn't buy the car from here and neither did we buy a VW but still we feel obligated to share our experience at this dealer ship. Even though they knew we had a soft corner for Toyota, they still gave us ample time, information and attention. Their follow ups were polite. It was almost like the experience that you would get at a Luxury car dealership. We were recommended by a colleague who leased from here a Passat - the price and experience he got were exceptional and no wonder why he recommended us going here.

I liked the fact that my sales person, Kevin Barth wasn't pushy and he was very knowledgable. He allowed me to make up my own mind in terms of what I wanted in a car before we began the financial process. Kevin knew the VW brand, manufacturing plants each car was made at and he stayed with me the entire time until I drove my beautiful Jetta off the lot. I went back in a few days later and he greeted me with a smile and a hug. You guys really know how to make a customer feel like family. It makes me want to stay with VW for all my future car purchases as well as tell family and friends about my experience at Fox Valley Volkswagen. It was amazing and hassle free!

He also had a great attitude and demonstrated features of the car I liked really well. Brought my car in for a car wash and to check on a grinding noise which turned out to be a problem with the power steering. I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could work on the car and I didn't have to make an appt to come in another time. They informed me that the part needed would take 4 days and they set me up with a very nice loaner car. The car was fixed and it was exactly 4 days. Everything went very smoothly.

Allison went over and beyond to assist me. I explained my situation that my car was not running therefore unable to go into the dealership. She worked with me over the phone where other dealerships refused - required me to come in. Her attention and support as well as working with your financial person, Manny to get me a deal that was within my budget is what convienced me to switch from Nissan to VW. I truly appreciate everything they did to assist me during a difficult time. I like the car but not what I will be willing to keep (meets my budget) - will consider another car within the VW family once my lease expires. Hope to receive the same customer service experience and hopefully receive a great deal.

Ryan was service rep. Both his manager and Ryan did a really great job helping get some sort of assistance with the cost of the repairs. They showed that there are dealerships out there that actually do the right thing for their customers; instead of their own self motives. My car is like a brand new car after taking it there. I wish I would have purchased the car for your dealership. I would have had a better experience. I am really pleased with the service and care provided to me and my car.

Great team from Allison, Jesse, finance manager, service manager. There was not a question they could not answer. At no time did we feel that we were not top priority to them. Jesse is an exceptional salesman, showed us how all the systems in the car worked and took all the time necessary for us to understand. Explained in depth all the services that come with our car, the length of time they were good for. We walked away with the feeling we had made a great choice in purchasing the Passat.

Shopping for the new 2015 GTI, I decided to purchase the same vehicle at a different dealer nearby at a higher price because of the poor experience I had at this dealer. Typical car salesman stereotype experience. I give credit to my salesman who tried to make the sale happen but the manager crossed the line by showing his frustration and cutting off the deal. Felt rushed and pressured to make the decision immediately, as many car salesman do. When negotiating the price, we were a few hundred dollars apart. I expressed that I would like a day to think about it. Manager then asked why. I stated that I still thought I thought the difference was just a bit off between our two numbers and I didn't feel good, since they kept attempting to rush me. I stated I just wanted a day to think about it, and I would let them know. Manager then expressed that if I didn't feel good about the deal then "we don't have to do business." Even though they likely don't need 1 sale from me since they are located in a large and populated area, it was still shocking to see a salesman end a negotiation like that. I previously worked in sales and would never have spoken or expressed frustration like this manager did. Next day went to another dealer I was shopping at. Decided to purchase the car there at a higher price because their treatment to customers was much better. Clearly this dealership didn't understand that rushing customers can result in the customer feeling uncomfortable and hurt the sale. Buying a car is not only about price, but the relationship after purchase. You don't keep a car for 1 year. It's an ongoing relationship for years and could result in other customer recommendations and future car sales. If they felt my demands were too high. Fine. That's business. But don't ever show frustration or any hostility towards a customer. Now I can't wait to tell all my friends and family NOT to shop there and go elsewhere. Also note that many car dealerships offer car washes, free coffee and water, etc. They also ask customers who did purchase their cars to post a glowing review of their experience there, so not many negative reviews make it to their site.

First off, the online appointment setting is a super easy and convenient means of communication...I love that. The service department there is always very efficient. I was in and out in about an hour, which is completely reasonable for a 10,000 mile service appointment. The staff that I interacted with (Jeff and Jennifer) were friendly and accommodating. I was kept "in-the-loop" during the process, and my 3 year old son was kept entertained in the kids play area. I had a very good experience! Thank you.

What really sets Fox Valley VW apart from other providers is the service reps. Jim was very professional, timely in contacting me with updates, and excellent in in stilling confidence that my car will be well taken care of. My warranty only covered part of the repairs, and the mechanic recommended that I replace three other ignition coils. The way him approached me was very appropriate. He didn't try to sell me on it, and told me in a matter of fact fashion.

My VW starting making a loud squealing noise and I was far from home. I used my phone to find the nearest VW dealer and it was Fox Valley VW in Schaumberg IL. What a lucky break! It was late Saturday morning and I was afraid they would close early that day. When I arrived, I was surprised to see they were very busy and were open until the late afternoon. John Grubbs saw that I was upset being so far from home, and reassured me they would be able to see my car that afternoon. They offered a loaner car (which I declined) and made sure I was comfortable in the waiting room. Jeff Jett kept me informed all along the way with progress on the repair. With an initial scare that it may be something serious (turned out it wasn't), Jeff was ready and willing to accommodate the fact that I may need a rental car. Turns out, it was something they could fix that day, and they did! I am super-satisfied with my visit, and would recommend this dealership to anyone who needs their VW serviced.

I went to this dealership with my passat for my scheduled maintenance and was horrified to see their findings. First they told me that my right outer cv boot has been damaged and i need to replace it. When I told them that part was in warranty and showed them the receipt, they came up with an excuse that it seems to be outside influence and we cannot replace that for free. Then they told me that my bushings have been worn out and I need to replace them and gave me $1500 estimate + $355 if I want to replace the cv boot too + the taxes. Smelling something fishy I went to another dealership in mt. prospect called Autobarn VW and they checked out my car. They told me that they will replace the cv boot for free and the bushings on the car are doing fine and there is no need to replace it. I was completely shocked. Fox Valley people at Schaumburg are thieves and money hunters. I request all people to avoid this dealership and go to Autobarn for their service. I also request all people here that if you have faced similar problems with Fox Valley please lodge a complaint against them on the toll free number provided by VW and save yourselves from this horrible dealership and customer service

After moving to Cook County, IL nearly a year and half ago, my first emissions test was required to register my car at the end of the month. Not having any problems with my car, I expected it would pass no problem. I was rejected on my first attempt due to the catalytic converter efficiency test not being complete. I work on all of my cars and only buy VW/Audi vehicles and have lots of tools. I plugged in my laptop based VCDS tool and began investigating the problem. I was not able to pass the catalytic converter test. My car had some APR upgrades done to my car and called APR tech support for help. They told me that my car had test pipe software (no CAT) on it and that I had to get the ECU reflashed by a distributor. I sent an email to Fox Valley VW in Schaumburg because they were listed in APR's distributor list. I was called back and I explained everything above. So I set up an appointment on Monday afternoon, June 24th. I was quoted ~$145 for a reflash. I said ok and they took my car in. They checked my codes and found a code for a fuel pressure sensor fault. It was a new code and it hadn't been active as of the previous week. Jim said they had to look into it more and gave me a loaner.The next day I received a call from Jim and he told me that the pressure sensor was the problem and that it was all good. I said I skeptical that was the problem (as per APR's recommendation) and he said he would check with the tech. Called me back later and said everything was checked out and I could drive it right into emissions to be tested. So I picked up my car and paid $275 for fixing the issue. I took it to emissions and was rejected again, same exact problem as before. But now my car actually had more fault codes set after I got the car back from Fox Valley VW. The tech had cleared the readiness (as per repair notes) and my intake flap motor had lost it's calibration. So I had to use my VCDS tool to re-learn the flap position and clear the codes. Very sloppy work.I could have gone back for rework, but Fox Valley VW is 25 miles away from my house and the traffic is terrible. Plus, I was on a tight time schedule since I had to pass emissions by the end of the month and I am leaving on a business trip. So I visited Genesis Performance Racing in West Chicago (another APR distributor) on Wednesday and they reflashed my ECU (for much, much less than $275) in 30 minutes. I just passed my emissions test with no problems.The staff at Fox Valley VW was professional in most areas, but they did not listen to what I had said and treated me like I did not know what I was talking about. Sure, my pressure sensor might have needed replacement, but it was not the problem and it was something I could have done for $45 myself. Plus they wasted my time, which is even more important to me. I find it very unlikely that Fox Valley VW will get any more of my business.

What differentiates Dan from other car salesman I've worked with is the fact that he isn't some autonomous, mindless robot spewing bursts of scripted verbal pablum. He listens well, follows up on time and without having to be called back, doesn't argue, negotiates fairly -- in short, he's very pleasant to do business with. Due to his professionalism, this is the third Volkswagen I've bought from this site. The next Volkswagen Ipurchase will also be bought from this dealership, as long as Dan is still working there.

I've found used cars I wanted at cars.com, and I went there. There were not to many people as well as no salesman. One of them approuch me, offer "help', we started story,etc. They are not polite. I accept price for trade , even it was $2000 under normal, but I thought they would give me good offer for their car. But, it's not true. We did not make a deal , but they have all my data as well as phone, SSN, etc. Later, i've got 2-3 calls from salesman, but he was to rude and unpolite over the phone. Three months later, they didn't sell the car, and he again called me offering "new numbers" ! Really !

I switched to this dealership about a year ago and wanted the techs to look at my car for brake/suspension issues I was having. I could not have them look at everything since I did not want to pay for a tyre rotation. They were very nice and changed out some recall parts for me. The WiFi did not work that day which was the only other negative at that experience. The salesman were knowledgeable and approachable with questions. I also went in another time to look for a replacement for a family member's vehicle. The sticker pricing for two vehicles were $2000 more than they should have been and the salesman quoted me monthly payments that were $100 more than they would be. I only went in to test drive a vehicle and getting the information without negotiating did help me to see the figures if I wanted to put down a down payment. It was not a bad experience at all, just took more time than was necessary. I hope this was useful for future car buyers.

I dealt with Jason in service and not only was he very nice, but he was also very informative and knowledgeable about my Routan and I hope that I can deal with him again in the future since it was a pleasure. Ryan has been my service advisor on many occasions. He always has great advise and has fit my service appointments in at very late notice. I now have 97000 miles on my 2007 GTI and it is perfect. Also, I was misquoted on a price once so the dealer gave me their cost on the parts and came within 2 dollars of the quote. Honor and service I didn't expect.

I drive approximately 2000 miles a month, so I'm regularly at Fox Valley VW to have my R32 serviced. Ryan in Service has always been very accommodating (even on short notice). The prices for labor and parts are fair. I usually wait for my car while its being serviced, and Ryan regularly updates me on the expected finish time. What I appreciate the most is Ryan does a great job of giving me a "heads up" on future repair/service my car needs. For example, while taking my car in for a regular oil change, he let me know that by the next oil change it would be time to replace the brakes, and even included a quote.

Ryan goes out of his way to provide a service standard unmatched by any dealer I have dealt with in 40+ years. He exudes the commitment to excellence that other dealers need to model. I had an occasion to bring my car in without an appointment due to CEL and TPM lights on in my dash. He wrote up the ticket and assured me that the issues would be taken care of in an expeditious manner. One hour later I received the explanation and what the techs had found and corrected and I was on my way.

These guys and girls are fantastic! Never had a problem that wasn't resolved immediately from purchase to maintenance and repairs to just chatting about vw information. They are knowledgable and interesting. This is the finest dealership I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Although it took a little longer than expected it wasn't too bad. One noticeable thing that stood out from my experience is that the salesman didn't offer me any coffee until he discovered I had a substantial down payment amount to purchase the car. This came approx. 30 minutes after we were discussing the car... I was fully aware of the car I wanted to purchase, mainly because of cars.com assisted me in locating the vehicle. However I was impressed by the vast attractive, selection of new and used cars. They highighted their 120 point inspection on all used vehicles that gave me a little ease of purchasing a used vehilcle.

My initial experience was positive. However, as things progressed the process of financing was more challenging than I thought it should be. I got the impression that the dealer did not want to follow through on the sale; perhaps they made a mistake with the price or had a better offer. I purchase my 2013 Passat TDI yesterday. Overall it was the best buying experience I have had and I have purchased at least 10 cars.My sales person was David Wyzukovicz and I highly recommend him. He found the exact car I wanted when other sales people from other dealerships couldn't or wanted to sell me something else (year/color etc..).David kept me informated as to the status of my car every few days and not once did I have to call him to find out what was going on. The car arrived when promised and exactly as described. Negotations went smooth and there wasn't that annoying going 'back and forth'. Almost all negotations were done over the phone which I appreciate due to my work schedule. They sold me the car for a fair price (better than any other dealer) and gave me a fair price for my trade (and I did my research).I also worked with Jim the Finance Manager. He shopped around and even beat the rate my credit union was going to give me.Great experience with David W. and Schaumburg VW. I highly recommend both when buying a car!

They stepped me through all of my options, gave me very detailed paperwork, followed up with phone calls and emails, and were extremely friendly. Was told the car was in great condition other then the drivers sun visor broken. Was told it would be fixed before we picked up the car. It wasnt and was told to do it ourselves or we have to be charged. We had the car one day and the heat broke. We brought it in and was told it would be ready in one day. Then the alternator went out and we were told one more day. After the alternator was put it some other electrical problem happened. Now its been 6 days and still no car and again I'm told one more day.I was told the rental car I had to get would be paid for and now its not. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They are liars and dont care about their customers. I will spread the word any way I can to let people know to never purchase a car from Fox Valley Volkswagen. This is a terrible dealership and I wish I never went there. I've purchased four new cars for my family in the last few years and typically replace my vehicle every three years. I spent the last couple of weeks communicating with the dealer via email, met with the sales rep on three different days and purchased a new Jetta SEL today. It was the absolute best experience I have ever had purchasing a new vehicle. Gary was the opposite of a high pressure salesman. He was informative and supportive, working on my time schedule, not his. If the positive experience ended there, I would not be writing. Their finance manager I met with Jim, was just the nicest, most honest, and easiest finance manager I've ever dealt with--there have been many. I've traditionally HATED, like many, the process of purchasing a new car. I got a great price, top dollar for my trade, and no high pressure tactics. Matt met with me to go through all the details of my new VW. I have never owned a VW, so I appreciated his thoroughness and patience. He invited me for a free 90 day service program to follow up on my vehicle and answer any new questions I had. No matter when I walked in to the dealership, there was sincerity in their greetings, smiles, and just a relaxed, comforting environment. I highly recommend Fox Valley VW Schaumburg!

This review is related to a recent sales experience.I initially worked with Dan but he wasn't available when I returned to the dealership where I met Greg K. Greg was very patient and actually listened and tried to solve the particular concerns that I had with a vehicle (as I was deciding whether it would be right for me). Rather than push vehicles, he seemed to understand the situation and that working with me was the best way through the process for everyone involved. I feel that it was this quality (the read of the situation and the adjustment to customer needs) that differentiated Greg from his peers at other VW dealerships that I had visited.Matt (and Eric) in car delivery also did a great job in explaining most every vehicle nuance that you could imagine during such delivery process.While I wouldn't want to fool anyone into blind faith here (car buying does require adequate knowledge and skill when negotiating with such trained professionals), without hesitation, I'd recommend visiting Greg if you're interested in VWs.

This was the best new car buying experience that I have ever had. Our salesman, Kevin, and the business manager, Jim, made sure that we understood every feature on the vehicle and term and condition on the financing. The new car delivery coordinator, Matt, was extremely thorough and we left the parking lot with the radio playing, the bluetooth synced to the phone and the dual climate control making everyone comfortable in the car. Because it is the first diesel automobile in the family, everyone has been anxious to take it for a test drive. They all come back with a big smile on their face. Thanks FoxValley VW!

I have shopped for many cars in my lifetime and this is the most pleasant experience doing this I have ever been apart of.The salesmen are knowledgeable, courteous and cheerful Its like they enjoy their job and look forward to coming to work. This enthusiasm is passed along to the customer which makes for a fun time in buying a new car. A chore that is normally hated by all. There was not one question I asked about the purchase process or the automobile that was not answered immediately, without hesitation. Like I said; these are knowledgeable people. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to all friends and family. In fact, five individuals have purchased an auto from this dealership upon my recommendation.I feel the terms of the sale were fair and reasonable to both the buyer and seller. Its wonderful to walk out with a new car and not feel you have left a significant amount of money on the table. We purchased a new Jetta on New Years Eve. It was a fabulous experience to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new car. From our initial phone contact with Christina and Anne to the introduction of our salesman Dan Sheth, this is truly a wonderful dealership. We were quoted an excellent price and we were very impressed with the seamless transition of completing the paperwork and delivering our beautiful car. Dan took a great deal of time to point out the features of the vehicle on our test drive. He was very professional and knowledgeable with the Jetta. As our car was being detailed and polished, Matt spent the afternoon reviewing all the specifics on instrumentation. His sense of humor was greatly appreciated. Anthony Pociask was more than happy to accept our check and guide us along the pathway of financial fun. This by far is the most honest dealer that I have gone to. Just recently I visited VW of Orland and the customer service and integrity of the staff was horrible. They were trying to charge me for something that I didnt need and then tried to say that I let someone mess with my transmission. Well once they looked, they were the only one who had services my trans. I called Fox Valley and explained the situation and they immediately thought that something was suspicious. I took my car to them the very next day to look at the same problem and of course they saw no problem and to top it off Fox Valley didnt charge me a thing to look at the vehicle. VW of Orland wanted to charge me $287 to top off fluids that were not missing and an additional $99 to diagnose that I needed the fluids (complete scammers and rip offs). Renee, the mechanic rode in the car with me to verify the problem (that was not a problem) and Ryan was very helpful as well. He got me in the very next day and even ordered a cosmetic part for my car (no questions asked). Although a bit pricier than other VW dealers, I definitely recommend Fox Valley just to avoid the aggravation of other places.

I just purchased my new 2012 Passat from Fox Valley Volkswagen Schaumburg on 10/10/2011. The salesperson I met was very well trained. Greg did an excellent job answering all my questions in detail. He was very professional, reliable, convincing, but not pushy (I never feel comfortable to work with pushy people). Greg's supervisor Todd was as friendly and polite as Greg. Besides the quality of the car and the price, the people from the Fox Valley Schaumburg were the catalysts who triggered me to purchased the Passat that I like. Worst (potential) car buying experience ever. I went to shaumburg VW to purchase my first car after graduating college and have never felt so inconcideratley treated. The salesman was extremely pushy and when I offered him fair price for his vehicle he made my girlfriend and I feel like complete idiots for evening offering and that their price was the lowest around. This was completely untrue. The car, a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg was a pile! Scratches everwhere. The drivers rear door was literally falling off of its hinges. The front tires were replaced with the cheapest tires know to man that were louder than a set of superswampers. When I mentioned the tires on the test drive he just looked out the window and said and I quote "What noise are you talking about?". I sware a deff man could hear them. The interior was also the same as the exterior. Scratched and dirty. Then after an hour of trying to deal with the guy we got up and said thank you for your time we'll be leaving now. About 10 steps from my car the guy practicly came running out to stop us. Then he said well let me show you this Passat I have. So once again here we go. I look at the car and same as the last, a pile! Scratches, dents, loose steering.... JUNK. Yesterday I bought a 2008 Jetta Wolfsburg from The City Autobarn. All I can say is this was the best experience buying a car I could have ever wanted. Patrick was extremely helpful. Adsolutely painless! I told him what I wanted for my trade and he got it, not a question asked. Told him what I wanted for APR and guess what? He got it and even beat it by .5%. Notice how I kept repeating I? Because Pat was actually concerned about me the consumer. Not like the guy from Shaumburg who only saw a dumb college grad whom he could make a quick buck on by selling BS. Whoever is reading this please do yourself a favor and head over to The City Autobarn. I guarentee you'll be happy with your choice. They were great. Also I bought my car with 20,000 miles less and in flawless condition as werll as $2,000 cheaper than what Shaumburg had. Could'nt be happier!

This was my first experience with Volkswagon and it was exceptional. Every type of car I was interested was available to test. Kevin worked with both my father and me and he was extremely friendly, patient and honest. Also, after the deal was made, Ryan took the time to go over the entire car with me and all the ins and outs of the new vehicle. I was comfortable in my new car the moment I drove off the lot. Thank you Fox Valley for making my first VW experience such a positive one!

Dan Sheth was the most prepared, patient, attentive car salesperson I have ever encountered. He said he wanted to earn my business and he certainly did with his attention to detail and service. This was backed up by the dealership manager of the day. The dealership operates like a fine-tuned engine with management and sales and service all working together (what a concept!). I really felt valued and appreciated.

HORRIBLE customer service. I can't even give them one star. Broken promises (missing mats that were promised to be replaced and weren't, hubcap replaced with one that does not match, missing owners manual that was promised to be replaced and wasn't, etc.) . I went there with a water leak and was told that it was just a little leak and should be fine until I bring it back and they will call me with a quote - less than 10 miles later the water pump pulley cracked off! A week later, I am still waiting for the promised phone call with the estimate (they have no clue about the pulley). I left several messages with salesman DW that have not yet been returned. There are plenty of VW dealerships out there - find one that knows what customer service is - this place STINKS!!

Kevin,Jim and Matt were helpful. They answered all my question promptly making my decision to purchase the Jetta very easy. They gave me alot of information making it easy to drive away with a new car. And I'm excited that I can come back for an informational group meeting so that I can address any question that I may have come up and also that they will show me how to change my tires. I think that is one of the most important things a driver should know since I have encounter many people who drive and don't even know how to change the tire. These guys were great! It was a no pressure atmosphere. They were all friendly and informative. David is a great salesperson. He knew how to use humor to make you feel comfortable with the situation. They spelled everything out clearly to help me make the best decision possible.I went to nine other dealerships while looking for a car and none of them could touch the customer service level of this dealership. I had salesmen calling and texting me all day when I was clear on my plans. When I walked out of this dealer to continue looking, I told him I would call him and he waited for my call. Unlike everyone else.I will definitely be referring all my friends and family there.

Great dealership. Got the price quote online so i did not need to fight over the price with anybody. The whole process took few hours but at the end i left satisfied with a great deal being a brand new jetta. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. Much better service than some other one's i have visited over past two months.

Went back to this dealership because had previously shopped for Rabbit for my son, but bought in CA where he was moving to; kept Greg's card hoping could "pay him back", and had great experience buying a hard to find Carbon Steel DSG 4 door GTI with no extras! Got a good price and very fair trade on my car with minimal and friendly session with his manager (Patrick?) then had to hold my breath while they tried to find my car and they finally found just off the boat in Houston and got to me in less than 10 days. Hoping the service dept is just as good since VW dealers have pretty bad rep in this regard...

I had a fantastic experience at Fox Valley VW Schaumburg. I was able to set up my test drive online so I could work it into my busy work schedule - Mark was very helpful and a wealth of knowledge on the features of the car. I had some concerns about the built in phone feature that I'd seen act up in other cars and he was so great to help me test them out! When I came back a few days later to buy it was a breeze...great price on my trade, and and amazing value on the car I purchased. I especially appreciated the friendly, easygoing style Mark has-not the typical pressure/hard sales environment. I felt like they really wanted to get me in a great car at a great value. Bonuses to this dealer include lifetime of free car washes and a cool auto butler detailing service. And of course I am rest easy with the included maintenance and free roadside assistance! I'm very pleased with my experience at this dealer.

Anthony was very upfront and honest about his opinions between the two cars I was thinking about, VW Golf 2.5 and VW Golf TDI, after talking with him and asking his take on my driving habits he was very upfront about the TDI not really being suited to my driving style, but we also spoke to a mechanic named Dave, who also agreed with him, they both could have easily have told me to get the more expensive TDI, but did not. I was very pleased with both of their honest answers.The Dealership itself was very clean, the service bay area was extremely clean which I was not expecting due to the work that is done back there.

If you want to be treated like a person, go to this dealership. I've been to a lot of dealerships before, VW and other, and I think they forget that in order to get the sale, you have to treat me like a valued customer. After all, we are the one's looking to drop $20-$30k....and I think most dealerships forget that little tidbit. Kevin Barth was my salesman, and he was personable and friendly. More than that, he listened and respected me and my time. I was there with my family at the time, and the whole experience was exceptional. I've been to other dealerships with my family, and I think they looked at my kids as a bother. Not here....it was great all around, and I have already recommended them to someone else. Jim was his sales manager, and he too was just as great as Kevin. Never once was I turned off by anything either of them did or said. More than that, because I have had poor experiences elsewhere, it was refreshing to have this type of experience...so much so that I wanted to buy the car from them and not go anywhere else. If you are looking for a VW, don't waste your time....just go to this dealership and ask for Kevin.

Although I am new to this dealership, I have experienced all of the above.1. Customer service: everybody went above and beyond to be friendly and make me comfortable, including the woman behind the service desk who offered me coffe and had a young man bring out a flavored option for me! 2. Quality of work: There was something not connected securely (few buttons in top of vehicle)The work was done quickly and with a smile!3.OMG! Mark was so friendly and soooo funny, I truely enjoy working with him.4. Obviously, my overall experience was very positive.5. We ran into a "glitch" so to speak with financing, Marc and another wonderful man at the dealership made it possible for me to leave in the car that I loved.

I purchased new Jetta TDI in Fox Valley Volkswagen few days ago (Schaumburg location). The Sale consultant whose name is Dan Sheth was very kind, humorous, and also fully honest. I was in a hurry, because I had to go to the work in the evening. They saved my time by ordering some pizza for us. I am not talking about the pizza. I am very impressed their carful concern and sensitivity to customers' need. Also they gifted me some t-shirts. It was ugly, but we love their kindness.As an international student, I was not easy to get less than 4% finance from other dealer. Those dealer ship seemed to be difficult to handle it. However in Fox Valley Volkswagen,there is a professional finantial agent quickly figured out what I need and solved out in an hour. They also have some exerlant after care programs. I recommend Fox Valley Volkswagen to someone who want to buy a car. At least they can get what you want with reasonable price for sure.

It was a great experience. Dan Sheth, the sales person was great. He explained everthing and was patient. I emailed the dealer several times before showing up and they were always responsive. It was the best car buying experience that I have ever had. I am usually afraid of being taken advantage of but this dealer was different. I felt at ease and I got a good deal on the car. The Jetta Sportwagon is as nice if not nicer than the high end car I traded in and in alot of ways it is nicer. I got a better price on my trade in than CarMax offered. wow....

My over all experience at this dealership was very positive. My sales person Gary was very friendly and extremely helpful. His knowledge of the vehicles we viewed and the fact he listened to what my needs were made me feel confident in my decision to purchase a new car. I also feel I was treated fairly on the price as it fit right in with my budgetary concerns. Before I left, the team at Fox Valley made sure my car was clean and I knew how to operate everything from the Bluetooth phone system to the headlights so I could start enjoying my new car. I purchased a 2008 Jetta, and absolutley love it. I had a great expereince with the dealership and my salsesman. Recommended my friend/boss. The only compliant i have is i brought my car in for its first car wash and i assumed they would wash and DRY it but they just washed it and didnt dry the outside, wish they would take the extra 5 min and actually dry the entire car. No biggie.

The guys were very cool. not push at all, let you take your time in choosing, listen to your needs and concerns and are laid back, fun attitude. After searching vehicles on line and then calling dealers who assured me the vehicle I wanted was available then to find out while visiting said dealer that the car was sold and being hard pressed into something else, my patience was near it's end. It was with great reluctance I drove into Fox Valley VW to search out one more internet deal. Surprisingly while I searched the car lot I found the advertised vehicle. More surprising no sales person jumped on me as I sized up the vehicle. I thought to myself it's 7pm on a Thursday night they must be ready to close or the pitch would have started. After sizing up the car (which was better than I had envisioned). I walked into the dealership,a place which in the last few weeks had been quite dissapointing. Upon entering I was met by Greg Kostelny who introduced himself and asked if he could be of help. We talked about the car I was interested in and he was very knowledgable of my selection even though it was a used vehicle by another car maker and not a VW. After test driving the vehicle I explained that my wife would have to see the car and asked if I could leave a deposit to hold the car and that we would return the next day. Greg suggested that I could take the car home, let my wife test drive it, and even have my mechanic check it over. We did just that and returned to discuss the deal the next afternoon. We very easily reached agreement on trade in value, purchase price, extended warranty and the dealer also threw in free lifetime car washes and a paint protection program for three years. It was painless. The finance manager Jim Convalle added to the good times by not only explaining the extended warranty program to us completely but he was also able to offer the plan we wanted with a lower deductible at no extra charge. I have to admit that at no time during the negotiations did me or my wife feel pressured. We had some differences with trade in value and pricing ( my wife was hoping to haggle ) but they were negotiated with respectability and fairness. All in all a very nice experience. I felt like I was dealing with friends and not adversaries. When my son needs a car I know where we will be looking. Gary & Nancy .

I have to say that this was, by far, the best experience I have ever had buying a car. I admit, I went in with some concerns and fears due to my previous experiences purchasing cars (e.g. pushy, rude sales people). But I walked into Fox Valley VW and was greeted with a smile from Jimmy who was very knowledgeable about the car I was interested in (2011 Golf). When I got into the office, it was very calm and relaxing, and everything just went as good as it could through the whole process. I really felt like part of the family while I was there. I thought I got lucky with Jimmy being the nice salesman that he his, but when I met John, Jim B., and Anthony (the managers), they too were full of smiles and laughs. This dealership is a complete joke and a waste of my time. I saw a car for sale on Auto trader. I wanted to get it even though I live in AL. So I called several time and filled out paperwork. They kept not calling me back and saying they were trying to get me approved and said that another couple was coming to look at the car and I had to wait to put a deposit down on it. I was going to pay for it to be shipped to me but that was not good enough for them. I called and left messages with the manager and he never returned my calls. This lasted over 2 weeks and we never even got the car even though they took our info and ran our credit. I talked to the finance manager and he said that we were approved a long time ago. I stopped calling and they never called me back. I think they didnt want to bother with me if they could sell it locally but kept me stringing along just in case. No customer service in this place and I wouldnt waste my time with them again.

When I started my car shopping experience I didn't think there was a chance in the world I would find myself rating any dealer, let alone the overall experience as 5 stars. Fortunately, a family friend recommended Fox Valley VW - Schaumburg. In my opinion they are the exception to the rule on professionalism in this industry! The folks at this store actually made car buying PLEASANT. This was my first purchase after spending the last 12 years leasing. My concerns were first and foremost: finding a vehicle with an excellent safety rating that had features conducive to my families needs, a clean car fax, financing options, warranty and of course...value. As I ventured through other area dealers my anxieties heightened because of one bad experience or another. I quickly added customer service and dealer reputation to my list of concerns. At Fox Valley VW (Schmg)all of these needs were met and more! I had the good fortune of working with Anthony & Jim. They were understanding of my fears, worked within MY parameters and incredibly knowledgeable of their inventory. They seemed to genuinely care whether I found the "right" car and when I did - they made the rest of the process smooth and painless...even going so far as to put the car through the VW pre-certification process for best warranty coverage as I waited. They even managed to make me laugh on several occasions! The entire staff was welcoming to my kids (and their behaviors!) and didn't miss a beat in helping to keep them entertained. Even though I was purchasing the car on a busy day, I didn't feel rushed out the door after the check was signed and the time and patience was given to go over all the features of the car with me as well as answer my questions. It has been 4 months since the purchase of my car...I have continued to stop in for the free car washes :) and I continue to be thrilled with not only my purchase but my choice in dealers. I recommend this dealer to everyone. There is no need to go through the headaches and hassles of car-buying elsewhere when there is a staff like this willing to work for customer loyalty.

I purchased my CC from Fox Valley Volkswagen in Schaumburg. After shopping around extensively I found the staff at the Schaumburg dealer to be the most knowledgeable and the most fair in pricing. I actually paid less and I get more with the perks they throw in. Thanks Jim and Rob.

I met with them to buy an EOS and they took way too long to negotiate a price for the car and made us fill out pages of paperwork even though they didn't have the car I wanted available and would have to get it from another dealer. I went to Mt Prospect to Autobarn VW and got a much better price for a more expensive model with no problems in less than half the time and was treated with far more respect. I am so glad I desided to take the time to shop around.
