We found a low milage, 15 year old truck on cars.com. Printed out the advertisement and headed out to check out the truck. The ad had a camper top on the only two pictures posted. They told us they would have the truck ready for us before we left. When we arrived, the truck had no bumper attached, no camper top, the Reese hitch was off, which they said was standard procedure to take them off when they come In.... Uh hu..... When your gut tells you there are red flags are flying everywhere, it's best to walk away no matter what.

Their Internet ad on CARS.COM listed a 2006 Audi A8 with 60,300 miles. I arrived at the dealership at 315 pm on Saturday only to find the last two employees preparing to leave. The advertised closing time is 5pm. The Audi was sitting running in the parking lot, complete with dog inside. Apparently, the owner had been driving the vehicle for personal use. I requested a test drive and after a quick trip around the block, I went inside to negotiate the deal. I failed to take note of the actual mileage on the vehicle during the test drive but was told by the salesman that the actual mileage was around 400 miles from what was quoted on the internet. I negotiated the deal based on that information. The normal finance manager was not in the office, so the salesman hurried through the paperwork with the understanding I would return Monday to complete the paperwork. The owner quickly switched the dealer plates to my trade in vehicle 2003 G500 and left. On the drive home in the Audi I noticed the actual mileage was actually 5000 miles different from advertised and the tires were extremely load. Surely, the owner who had been driving the vehicle had to be aware of both issues. When I returned on Monday to complete the paperwork and explained the problem. The salesman admitted the error but said he could do nothing. The finance manager agreed that my complaint was reasonable and contacted the owner to get approval for a change in terms. The owner denied any change and complained that the vehicle I traded had stalled on him, check engine light was on and the transmission was slipping. Despite all these "issues" that very vehicle is currently listed on their website for $10K more than they paid...and yes the listed mileage on the website is also incorrect. I've never had any of these issues with the vehicle. The G500 was just serviced at a Mercedes Benz Hoffman Estates less than 1 month and 1000 miles ago and there were no problems. Additionally, the vehicle is covered under an extended comprehensive warranty. Unfortunately for them, it's not transferable without my approval. In the end I have no one the blame but myself for not paying more attention during the hurried buying process. I'm not use to dealing with dealerships that misrepresent their vehicles. Apparently, this is not abnormal for this dealership based on the some of the other reviews. Additionally, the reason for loud tires was because the tires on the vehicle did not meet the vehicle weight requirement. I found that out when I took the car in to have the tires rotated and balanced and the technician told me that by law he could not work on those tires on this particular vehicle because they didn't meet manufacturer's requirements.... Major safety issue. Obviously, I did not have a pleasant buying experience with Frankfort Autohaus. When you buy a car "AS IS" you also get a dealership "AS IS".......don't expect or assume anything when buying from these guys.

I regret to say, that I was not at all happy with our visit to your business. I started with the web , found your website and a vehicle that I thought would work for my Husband. It was listed at a price the would work and the mileage was in the range he wanted. So my husband went to your location to see the car, imagine his surprise Shen that same vehicle had about 50 thousand more miles on it! When he came home and told me about it I couldn't believe it so I got on your website to make sure of the mileage , and not only was it not the amount that I had seen the day before, it was also not the same mileage that he had seen less than an hour before. Not even I. The same range. This is not ethical and I will not be dealing with your. Business and will pass this info on to all I know and the better business bureau.

I purchased a vehicle from Frankfort Auto Haus in November 2013 that was advertised on Cars.com as "One owner ! Perfect Carfax, low, low certified miles! Maintained in showroom condition since new ! Gorgeous !" I called the dealership to verify the condition. They verified the condition as advertised and went on and on about how clean it was, how long they've been in business, etc. I asked if the vehicle had any corrosion anywhere, any leaks, or anything not working. They said no and in fact it was inspected by the mechanic at the back of the dealership and everything checked out and the oil was changed and again how clean and nice it was. I purchased the vehicle based on their high rating with the BBB, Cars.com, their description and photos on Cars.com, the Carfax report, and speaking with the dealership multiple times. I paid to have the vehicle shipped by a transporter that was located near their dealership (from IL to FL). The transporter arrived with the vehicle and the vehicle wouldn't start, so they rolled it off the transporter. AAA couldn't get it started and they towed it to a repair facility. The ECU was bad and the vehicle has required over $2,000 in repairs thus far and it isn't done being repaired. There was four major mechanical components leaking underneath and corrosion everywhere underneath and in door jambs, some raw corrosion, and some corrosion was covered with black spray paint and some body colored paint. I asked the dealership to either take the vehicle back or pay for the repairs due to the misrepresentation. Their first response was that I should go sell it on Craigslist if I want any money back. Their response to my Illinois Attorney General Consumer Fraud Bureau complaint was that I bought it "As-is". Their response to my BBB complaint was that I hired a inspection transportation company (?), I have buyer's remorse, it was a 2001, and we have differing opinions. I paid a $500 deposit by credit card and the rest by wire, so I could only dispute the $500 with the credit card company. The credit card company investigated and refunded my $500 which paid for the ECU, but I'm still on the hook for rest. Everything I specifically asked about before purchasing was found to be wrong with the vehicle. On a side note, the interior of the vehicle was filthy, so it is being detailed after the major repairs are completed. I went to the Auto Haus with a friend of mine who was looking to purchase a vehicle. He test drove at least 5 different vehicles, we spent hours looking at all the beautiful vehicles. The sales associate was very patient and knowledgeable, he helped my friend find exactly what he was looking for. He explained and showed all the features on vehicle. The process with financing was quick and we were out the door!

I have been a customer for over 20 years. Not only have I personally purchased cars from this dealership, many of my friends and family have done so as well. Several years ago, I had a car model with certain features and even a particular color in mind. I told the owner what I was looking for. The very next day, he called to tell me he had my car at his dealership and to come on in to look at it. I bought it that day! It was EXACTLY what I wanted! The sales force at this dealership are exceptional, friendly and courteous, and they will work with you till they meet your needs. I could not recommend another car dealership as highly as this one. Keep up the good work!

I guess i have nobody to blame but myself. I went there looking for a work van that was advertised as mint, mint, mint. The price was average and i took it for a drive with the salesman, nick. It drove out ok and it had only very small riples from normal use on the sides. It had a ladder rack that had been strategically removed and put in the back, inside. A deal was reached and wrote up. I paid for it and told them i would come back in the evening to pick it up. They had it parked in the rear of the building, sandwiched between a couple of other trucks. I took it home and parked it in the shop. The next day i took the ladder rack out of the back and climbed up on a ladder to get to the top and install it. The entire top has been walked on and colapsed downward and was not even noticeable from the interior. Now i know why the rack had been removed and placed inside. This is far beyond being mint, mint, mint. I have nobody to blame but myself for buying there. This damage would take several thousands to correct. Even the cargo van dealers in the city take digital high def picks of every little ding on there units so you know what youre buying. I guess i should have brought a ladder to see the top before i bought it. I would question who is writing the favorable reviews of this dealer.

I would definatlly buy from them again. Got a great deal on a 2005 Dakota with only 17,000 miles. I've only put 3,000 miles on it so far and having no problems. In fact the wife is in need of another car soon and they will be the first place I check out.

I've bought my share of cars in my life but I've never felt so relaxed or at ease as I did when I bought my last car at the Frankfort Auto Haus. I spoke with Jeff on the phone and we discussed the details about the car and it sounded like it was just what I was looking for. I gave him all my information. I live almost 2 hours away and by the time I arrived everything was ready for me. It was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. I was looking at a Ford Bronco, they had it listed online with 45,000 miles on it (still havent corrected it even after I told them). I drove 2 hours to get there to find out it had 145,000 miles on it. When I ask if I can take it for a test drive, the salesmen jumps in and my girlfriend has to sit in the back (I hate it when the salesmen go with you on test drives). Anyways, I dont buy it because I wanted a daily driver and there is a big difference between 45k and 145k miles. Then I get home and look on autotrader.com and they have the same Bronco and list it with 89k miles. I can see making a mistake a putting 45 when it was really 145, but how do you get 89 and 145 mixed up? I think they just want you to drive there so they can try and talk you into it no matter what. I was disappointed for ruining my weekend.

I did some research online and found a car that really interested me. I contacted Ted and got all the information about the car. I scheduled a apppointment and traded for the Mercedes G500. I've always wanted a G500 and this was so clean and like new I had to have it. The staff at Frankfort Auto Haus did a great job for me and I will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for a great car and a great deal!

My credit wasn't the best and I heard about Frankfort Auto Haus helping a friend of mine. I called and spoke to Jeff and he suggested I come in and talk it over. So I did. They were so helpful and willing to give me a chance to get on my feet. I didn't feel like I was at a car dealer at all. Found the car we bought in CARS.COM. All I can say is we were sold a lemon and they do not stand behind their cars as stated on their website. BEWARE as the car we bought was barely driven 200 miles and it started pouring smoke from the tail pipe and is not drivable. Thinking back, No wonder they pushed this car on us so badly. We were stupid to not walk out as our gut told us. Go with your gut, if it doesn't feel right, it isn't. DO NOT let them pressure you into buying something your not comfortable with, no matter how much they try and guilt you.

I just bought a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee from here and am so excited! I needed a better more dependable car and John Otts & Nick Durakis really made the expericence a wonderful one I will never forget. John did an amazing job on financing and everyone there treated me just like family. Having bought 2 new cars before from other dealers, I can honestly say I was not treated as well as I was here. And the car...its amazing! Its in almost brand new condition, runs great and had very low on miles. Everyone who has seen it, can't believe its a 2002. They all think its a lot newer! Seriously, if you are in the market for a used car, just go here first. You won't be disappointed!

I was looking for a used car and happened to come across a Nissan Maxima with a fair price. I called the dealership to confirm availability since I was looking at about a 2 hour drive and was told that the car was still available. They agreed and I was on my way. As soon as I got there the salesman said the car was just sold even though it was still on the lot. After talking to the salesman he said that someone signed the paperwork, but were waiting for the final say on whether they were going to buy the car or not. I was there in front of them with cash in my hand, but instead they waited for someone to give them a yes or no answer. Someone needs to get the salesman off his high horse because he's no more than a messenger/pee on. His manager was much nicer and that's the only reason I'd give it two stars. This ordeal happened Thursday morning and it is now Sunday morning and the car still appears in their inventory with a higher price. DON'T waste your time. They don't know how to do business. There's a reason why they are rated what they are rated. Stick to reputable dealerships. Also a warning to potential customers: they play with their prices online. They fluctuate day to day by about 2 grand.

Sales associate was Awesome!! He wasn't pushy-super friendly. You need more sales associates like him! Great customer service. Great customer service skills. Takes time to help you out and answer questions thoroughly.
