We called ahead, scheduled an appointment, they greeted us at the door. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and delightful. Our salesperson was Candace, she was well versed in your product, Herbie in finance was helpful as well. We knew we would be going to Sanford or Lumberton, the person answering the phone, help make the decision to go with Fred Anderson.

I recently purchased my third hybrid Toyota from Fred Anderson Toyota of Sanford. I have had all service and maintenance done at this dealership for the 10 years that I have owned Toyotas. I returned to Fred Anderson because of their excellent service department. My recent buying experience was made even better by sales representative, Paul McCoy. When I first test drove a RAV4 in April, Paul was helpful and knowledgeable. I told Paul that I wouldn't be buying a car before August, and he was respectful and did not press me.Paul checked in with a phone call August 1, and again was helpful, not pushy. When I returned to Fred Anderson to seriously think about purchasing, I asked for Paul. From the start I felt that he acted as my advocate. From helping me decide on the best model for my particular needs and budget, to negotiating the deal, to arranging for my first service visit, Paul was careful to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand. When I took delivery of my new RAV4, Paul helped me set up my iPhone voice recognition and explained how to use the Bluetooth function of the vehicle. I couldn't be happier with my new RAV4 and highly recommend Paul McCoy and the professionals in the service department of Fred Anderson Toyota of Sanford.

If you are in the mood for a new or used vehicle this is the place you need to check out. When you arrive the first smart thing to do will be to ask for Paul McCoy to be your sales person. Paul is not only a veteran but, just over all nice guy and will work very hard and tirelessly to earn your business. I purchased a gently used 2015 GMC Canyon truck and I love it. I felt the deal was basically fair to all and then Mr. Rick from the Finance Team stepped up with a great finance rate that closed the deal for us. I wish the entire Sanford Toyota Team a successful rest of 2016 and Beyond. When it became clear that my husband could no longer hold on to his 16 year old Saturn, there was never any discussion as to where we go to look for a replacement. Literally, no other dealership came to mind for consideration because that is how well we have been treated by the people of Fred Anderson of Sanford. From helping me replace my vehicle after a crash, helping my mother buy her first car and then a replacement after her accident, to now helping my husband transition from his beloved metal companion. And half of our car transactions were handled by Mr. Paul McCoy. If you have the privilege of dealing with Paul, please remember to thank him for service to our nation. We were greeted with smiles and great service. Paul got us into a car that was just perfect for us, right off the back, from listening to us. He was very knowledgeable and there was absolutely no pressure. Just good information to allow us to make an informed choice. I purchased a new 2016 Sienna LE and traded in a Fred Anderson 2013 Sienna LE this was a good experience up until the signing of the papers when I declined the 400$ more money then the agreed upon price for a service package. That part of the experience did not go well and I was all but insulted for not taking the package.Up until that point I think our exchange went well and although I believe I could have saved a few more dollars on the trade in/purchase price, we closed okay. I got a USAA $2500 discount and then used the trade in and cash to purchase the vehicle.

I appreciated every aspect of my service. The employee who helped me remembered me by name when I came back to get my car. He helped me get in and out quickly for drop off and pick up. He was knowledgeable, informative, and entirely pleasant. All of my experiences at Toyota of Sanford have been of equal caliber, and their loyalty program offers coupons as well as other rewards. This most recent service ended up being free because of money back rewards I've earned from previous service. I will continue taking my car here for as long as I live in this area.

Despite the low rating and long review, I would still recommend this dealership if the cards are in your favor and it is a reasonable drive as they are friendly. Otherwise, there are plenty of other dealerships to try. Short version:We were little more than a number to the person who scheduled our appointment. It appears that the information I took the time to send them was not conveyed to the sales person/manager whom we spoke with, and there was no consideration put forth towards the time of me and my partner. Longer version:My partner and I were each considering a new vehicle, and thought that maybe with some finessing the numbers could be made to work. I knew that it was a stretch, but I e-mailed Brian Elston at Fred Anderson (replied to one of their many sales pitch e-mails). In my e-mail I explained that I knew we were upside down, gave the amount that we owed on each of the vehicles, provided the KBB trade in values (included screen shots), and said that I didn't want to waste their, my, or my partner's time if it did not seem feasible. I stressed the fact that we would be driving over an hour each way to their location to do this, and that I was supplying all the necessary information for ballpark figures.When we arrived, we were a little late, and our salesperson Wayne was unavailable. We were introduced to two other gentlemen, Paul and Aaron. Both were pleasant, but neither had been provided with the information I had supplied. Paul brought part of the e-mail with him, but had not had the time to review it and (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here) had not been provided with the KBB screenshots. Our time was completely wasted, and my e-mail back to the dealership explaining my disappointment was read but not responded to. Not an apology, not an acknowledgement of dropping the ball, nothing. I am disappointed with the lack of consideration my partner and I were afforded at this location.It isn't because a deal wasn't workable. That is fine, I knew it was a long shot, which is why I stressed repeatedly that we lived over an hour away, sent the information about what was owed on the trades, and what we were considering.The only reason that I don't give only one star is because they were all pleasant to speak with, and I had an acceptable experience when I purchased my used 2009 Prius from them. Very little haggling, but it helped that I had a check from the bank, and no trade. Here is a copy of the e-mail I sent that was read but not responded to: Bryan,I would like to say that I feel my and my Partner's time were wasted on Monday. I had supplied you with the information necessary for ballpark figures, and it appears that the e-mail wasn't even looked at. I get that impression because when Paul had it in his hand, he obviously had not read it, and wasn't provided with the second page that included the screen shots of the KBB valuations.The only saving grace of this was that everyone was nice, even though the salesperson we had hoped to work with was unavailable. Hopefully he made a great deal for the couple he was working with, and the gentleman (Aaron) that worked with us was a pleasure. In the future, I hope that more consideration is given to customers. Especially those who take the time to provide you with the figures necessary to get a good idea of what is going on, and then explain how far they have to drive, etc. Other than some friendly banter, and John getting to have some hands on time with the Tacoma, it was nothing but a waste of time for everyone involved. To make a long story short. They had me run credit for a vehicle that would never get approved by their banks because of the mileage. The vehicle would have made a great commuter, however being mislead caused the deal to fall through. Then to add insult to injury, my salesperson suggested that I go and try to get a loan from the institution I bank with....huh??? I should have kept my business with Hendrick. I had already bought two vehicles from them with no issues. The fatal mistake is in trying something new.

I have purchased 7 new Toyotas since 1988 and the Fred Anderson sales (Wayne Gomillion) and service (Robert Hunter) personnel who assisted me were head and shoulders above my past dealings with other Toyota dealers. When I bought my Tacoma, Wayne was very professional, answered all my questions and found exactly what I wanted. After the sale, he would often contact me and ask if I had any questions or would tell me about new Toyota products or sales. I have never before had followups like Wayne provided. When I read on the Tacoma World forum about some Tacomas that came from the factory with low automatic transmission fluid, I got a little nervous and called Wayne. That day, he talked to Robert Hunter in the Service Department, called me back and made an appointment to check my fluid level. Robert explained every detail of checking the transmission fluid (the transmission is a sealed unit). Everything was ok and there was no charge. I am very impressed with Wayne and Robert and will come back to Fred Anderson Toyota from now on.

Over the course of the past week I communicated via email with this dealership asking for an internet price on a 2015 Prius 2. After receiving several email messages I was sent a quote of $19,548 on the vehicle I was considering.Just when I was about to come in to make the purchase, and after I made another inquiry about the price of the car, I found out that the quoted price included rebates for active military and college graduates. Since these rebates did not apply to me the car price increased $1750.I sent a complaint to Greg Davison the General Manager but never heard back.I feel like at the very minimum I was mislead, but really I feel like I was lied to as well. I have no trust in this dealership.

UPDATED: The title to my car was sent to the wrong address, and attempts to correct this failed, over the course of several months, calls, and talking with different people. My finance company threatened to change my rate to that of an unsecured loan because of Fred Anderson's mistake. Hopefully by going directly to the DMV this can be resolved. I guess I found the weak link of the chain at Fred Anderson: the back office. Thanks, not really.Better than anything I experienced with Leith Toyota. I really hope that the Raleigh branch service department continues to be no hassle and pleasant to work with. I went in with a budget. Gave my budget. They gave their number. Our numbers didn't match. They came down, I went up, we (mostly) met in the middle, and I drove away with a nice used 2009 Prius that I named Clyde. Wound up with the 2009 with 102,000 miles instead of a cheaper 2010 with 135,000 miles. The cheaper one with higher miles and fewer options was sold before I could get to it, and Wayne and his sales manager helped to sweeten the deal for me to get into the lower mileage and more optioned Prius for just a little bit more. So far I am averaging 48-54 MPG, enjoying the smoothness, and how quiet a Prius is. The best part is the Fred Anderson Family Plan. Sadly I didn't get the full plan that offers a lifetime warranty over the car, but I did receive free oil changes as long as I own the car and bring it to Fred Anderson for Maintenance. Being a Toyota, the maintenance is reasonable. Very happy to be back in a Toyota. Made the mistake of trading in my 2011 Scion tC a few years ago on a Smart, which I traded in on a Fiat, then a used VW (which I still have and love, but the maintenance costs STINK). Nothing is as reliable as a Toyota, they practically sell themselves.

I really liked the friendly, home town atmosphere at the dealership. I didn't feel pressured about buying one of the vehicles in stock since I already knew which one I wanted. There were delays in the shipment of my vehicle, but both the Manager and Jason Bell continously kept me up-to-date on where the vehicle was at all times, even apologizing for something that wasn't even their fault. I live about 200 miles from the dealer. I saw the ad on Cars.com and replied because of the perceived savings to buy from them vs buying local. The ad was misleading in that some rebates (College graduate, owner, and Finance) were conveniently left out, which made the price attractive. The salesperson called and immediately explained that the ad price would be adjusted significantly to account for some rebates. I contacted Toyota.com and found that 2 of the rebates do not even exist (owner loyalty and finance)

Went to the dealership to purchase a 4Runner they had advertised on Cars.com. They said the price included rebates I wasn't eligible for and there should have been a disclaimer on the website and apologized for it not being there (still not there today, even though the sales manager said the general manager was working on it). They came back with a price that was $400 higher than the advertised price which I thought was fair enough if they truly had a problem with the website. However, at the bottom of the price sheet they added $1575.00 for "Toyota Family Protection Package"...another charge there was no mention of on the website and a $599.00 doc fee which was advertised on the website at $549.00. Wayne Gomillion, the sales rep was great, Jay Anthony the sales manager was polite and professional but the apparent general manager who was making all the calls never came to explain the issue with the website or just introduce himself. In the moment, it all seemed sincere, but after getting away and having some time to reflect on the experience it seems like just another sleazy car dealership get 'em here and plus, plus, plus them into a higher profit deal.

These people are the worst... I was interested in a 2015 Corolla S plus, the Autotrader ad for this dealer showed a price of $15,975.00 way belowe MSRP. I called the dealer and spoke with two different people, both told me the specific car I was interested in was already sold but they had plenty more around the same price range. I drove 2 hrs. to see the car, test drove it, got my trade in appraised and when the manager brings his offer the price of the vehicle went from $15K to $19K. I showed him the Autotrader ad and his response was "that discount is for military and college graduates only". No where in the ad says "military and college graduates discount only", I told him that I had spoken to two different people and neither of them mention it, if not I would have never driven 2 hrs. for nothing. He didn't even apologize!I don't recommend this dealer, they're just deceiving liars. Instead I went to Modern Toyota of Winston Salem and I got a much better deal.

We had been to a different dealership that left a very bad taste in our mouths. There is absolutely no gimmicks they are there to do business and sell cars. Wayne was absolutely wonderful, very knowledgeable about the cars and got us a great deal on the car. We left the dealership with plans to return in future for other purchases. It was worth the 1hr drive to get the type of customer service and satisfaction that we got.

I ordered a 2015 Camry SE that came in today. From the very beginning this experience has been the best buying experience ever. There were "no games" just very helpful individuals. From the general manager, Greg Davison (who by the way sits out front and is always available) , to the sales manager Josh Regan, salesman Mark Daly, finance manager Eddie Seals all were helpful & informative without a single one being "pushy". I was introduced to the service staff and parts staff. The parts department took time to answer several questions regarding accessories. I had looked at several dealerships but decided that I did not want to pay for a staff to wear starched embroidered shirts so I went to Sanford Toyota and was treated very fairly. Thanks!

Toyota of Sanford, NC is not my regular Toyota Dealership. I live in Western NY and was visiting family living in the Sanford area. While traveling, I was close to exceeding the limits for a required oil change. I called the Sanford Dealership and they were extremely accommodating and scheduled me in the next day for a oil change and tire rotation. I was very grateful to them for scheduling me in for a service call. First of all I called Toyota and spoke with Charles Ellis and told him about my credit history and that I was interested in buying a new camry. Mr. Ellis told me that he was positive he could get me approved and to come on in to see a new Camry. I spend an entire afternoon there for the Sales person to come back and tell me a ridiculous payment on a new camry and an even more ridiculous payment on a used camry. I went home that day dissappointed. The next week I called the same sales person back James Bell and told him that I really wanted a camry he said he had some new stuff on the lot and again was sure he could get me financed. I spent another entire afternoon with him and was told I would be bringing this car that I fell in love with home that day. After two minutes he came back and told me a different price on the vehicle than what was clearly listed in the window...$2000 more!! I then told him to check his prices he came back and said they did not mean to put that sticker in that window...really??? How unprofessional. He then comes back after saying they would honor the sticker price and tells me he cannot get me financed that there was nothing he could do!!! I then left and went to Precision Ford in Lillington. I purchased a brand new fusion from them with the payment I wanted and no questions asked about anything within an hour. That is service! Toyota of Sanford lies to people and I felt like they could care less if they helped me. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Our sales rep Dexter was very genuine in trying to find my wife and I the vehicle we were looking for. He demonstrated to us that he was in no hurry and was willing to take as much time as needed for us to find the right vehicle. I am a loyal Toyota owner and a current long time owner (and big fan) of the Highlander. When I began the process to look at new cars and specifically the Highlander, my experiences at a nearby dealer in the Raleigh area was less than spectacular (being polite). Bottom line: I didn't trust the Toyota folks I had met thus far. Then happy service customers of Toyota of Sanford recommended I talk to Joe. I met Joe and he in turn introduced me to Dan. I'll be honest, I was skeptical that I might have already learned the "Toyota" method and had some serious new car/"you have a lot to prove" mindset in place. At the onset, Dan let me drive the conversation on what I wanted, what I didn't want, etc. He truly listened to his customer. I had been led to believe (by the other dealer) that I my best option on the Highlander was the XLE model, but Dan quickly pointed out that based upon MY needs, the LE Plus model was actually a better fit for me. Once we got through what were my "must-haves" for a new vehicle, he showed me a car that was exactly what I wanted (less a few after-market items that he said were not issues and easy add-ons). I left the dealer with Dan's information and some pricing info and was never pressured that "this deal won't last" or "this car will be gone" mess. I immediately knew that while the dealer location isn't the most convenient, it was by-far the best experience (at a Toyota dealer) that I had had. It truly felt more small town and personal and less "corporate", and they delivered on that. After a couple of days of thought, research, and prompt responses from Dan on questions I had, I decided I was ready to move on the car I had seen. It had been sold the day before (it really had), but Dan promised he could get the exact car delivered that same day (and he did). The car promptly had the after market items discussed installed right away and I'm in my new car. I am thrilled that I got the car that met MY needs, and not the goals of the sales rep. They won't pressure you to buy more car than what you want or expect. Throughout the process, Dan was beyond respectful, prompt, professional, did not pressure and was truly a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Toyota of Sanford and Dan. I know when we are ready to move on another car, we'll be making that bit longer drive down.

My purchase was the fourth Toyota vehicle I was involved in acquiring from Sanford Toyota. The previous three purchases (all Camrys) were made by close friends. I decided it was time to see what the dealership could do for me. I showed up unannounced, but was quickly assisted by Larry DeWitt, who once again, worked me into his schedule. We talked for a few minutes and I discussed what I wanted in a Toyota Truck. Larry made a few suggestions and intelligently shared his reasoning for the suggestions. Once he had a general idea of what I sought, he left to go get a vehicle for me to test drive. Following the test drive, I realized that some of the bells and whistles I thought I wanted weren't necessary and that Larry had let me drive the perfect fit for me. I was offered a definite discount for my loyalty to the brand and the dealership. I was given nearly $1,000 more on my trade-in (2004 Pontiac Grand Prix) than I anticipated. To top it all off, I was offered some wonderful financing options. I am now four days into my 2014 Tundra and I would do it all over again today. Folks, it's worth the drive to Sanford. It's like no car buying experience you've had before. These folks want to sell you a car, but they want you to be happy with your purchase, AND they want to make sure you remain happy throughout the life of your vehicle. You will not be disappointed at Sanford Toyota.

My wife and I looked for six months at 42 other car dealers and even at other local Toyota Dealers from Pinehurst to Cary, even after buying two vehicles (2012 Camry and 2013 Tundra) previously from Toyota of Sanford, we came back (HOME) and purchased a 2014 Camry at Toyota of Sanford, we were in and out in about two hours total. The other dealers just did not seem friendly or willing to step forward to make a reasonable deal on the final price, at one dealer we were chased out the door, they were mad as hornets that we would not sign right then and there, following us to our car with an initial sales contract demanding that we sign for the car we didn't want. The Toyota of Sanford Staff (Sales, Service, and Parts) always seems ready to go the extra mile for us. While we were waiting on our paperwork the other staff members came by and talked with us. All the Toyota of Sanford Staff greets us by name when we come in even if it had been months since we had seen them last, even when we are shopping at WALMART or eating out they will come up say hello. The staff at Toyota of Sanford provides world-class customer service and is second to none. The only mistake we made in buying this car, was all the time we wasted looking at the other car dealers. If you are planning on buying a car anywhere else but, Toyota of Sanford you will be making one big mistake. Hats off to Mr. Brian Brooks and all. Thanks Mark and Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The personnel that work in your service department show alot of attention to detail, I brought in my 2007 Tundra to have you look at the brakes, since I had them done at M&B Auto and boy did they ever make a big mistake by installing improper bolts to the calipers on right side of truck. In all experience I'll never be going back to M&B's again. Also wanted to say thanks again to the Service Advisor he's definitely a walking encyclopedic, which is the backbone of this department. Anything major that needs to be done to my truck will be done by Toyota of Sanford.

I was very impressed with the service with Sanford Toyota. First I thought maybe they were just nice until they completed the deal, but that is not the case. I bought my SUV 3 weeks ago, and I still get calls from Wayne asking if he can help me. Paula in the service department is wonderful to work with, so is pretty much everyone. At first I felt that I needed to work with a larger volume dealership to get the best deal, but felt most comfortable here. I am glad that I chose them. I feel that I got a good deal and that I will also have great service, and I do like the small town feel at the dealership, even though it is not a small dealership. I have rated them excellent, because I feel like they treat all their customers with the best customer service that I have seen in a long time, to me that means a lot .

I really enjoyed my experience. I've been to several dealerships and this was the first one that I didn't feel the car salesman was shoving any and every car down my throat. The one I visited before Fred Anderson, the salesman was not listening to what I wanted in a car. I had to tell him several times that I wanted a used 4 door vehicle. I have owned Toyota's for over 30 years and have been to many dealerships across our great country. I must admit, this dealership - by far - is the best dealership I have worked with. From Joe Wynns to David (service manager), to Brian Brooks and Jake (service advisors), to Jimmy - the master mechanic - the experience was wonderful. The price came in $200 under the original estimate.I had a massive oil leak in my original '85 Toyota Supra that they took excellent care of. They pulled the entire front off the engine to replace worn seals and o-rings as well as other items they came across. They were honest and kept me in the loop as they found issues and finished the work. They were ahead of schedule, under budget, and the car runs like new. I was not impressed with this dealership. I filled out an online request and received a generic email response. When a sales rep did call, I had to reiterate everything I had put in the online request (waste of time, did they even read?). The dealership is over an hour drive, so I wanted to do most of the negotiating online. The sales person talked very fast and tried very hard to get me down to the dealership without any regard to the distance. They would not drop the price of the vehicle I was interested in, despite the fact it has been sitting on their lot for over 60 days. What bothered me was the sales manager telling me the vehicle had been sold last weekend, but yet it is still on their web site. Take it for what its worth, somebody is slacking at the dealership and I'm glad I didn't make the trip.

i test drove a car on saturday and gave all my info to file to the bank for the loan and told i would get a call, never did. i called monday and no one could tell me any information about it. i got a call late monday asking for all my info for a second time because my file was "misplaced". Tuesday i was told the car i wanted was sold from under me after i was promised it would be there for me. they could not find me another car and the one they tried to sell me was more money and more miles. it has been 3 1/2 weeks and still no car, so now im looking else where at a dealer ship that returns calls the same day with more progress in 1 day than i had in 3 weeks with them. i get that your "busy" and you do what you can but you should really keep people informed on whats going on even if you cant make a deal happen. not pass the person around to 4 different people who have no answers.

This is the worst place to go to buy a car, first off the vehicle that I wanted to see was not there. We were not happy after driving 45 minutes! They told us the only way they'd go get it was if we purchased it, they get it that when it's dark and they are closing so we can't even check it out. We got the bumper to bumper.. that is the stupidest thing to ever get because it doesn't really cover bumper to bumper like they say. Every time we have a problem JOSH never returns our calls. They are xxxx to work with and I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!!

By far the BEST experience of purchasing a car we have ever had. From the time we walked onto the property to the time we left, we were treated with kindness and respect. The staff was super friendly and Josh Ragan was outstanding!!!! Extremely knowledgeable of the vehicle we were interesting in, however we never felt pressured by Josh.We would definitely recommend this dealership..... only if you want the best experience you could ask for when you're ready to purchase a car!!

My overall experience working with Toyota of Sanford was wonderful. I stopped by the dealership to look at the options of trading in my 2007 Honda Accord. I was warmly welcomed and assisted in looking at the cars on the lot. What can I say about Toyota of Sanford. Everyone is so friendly. I bought a brand new 2012Toyota Camry last February from Jay Anthony. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and knew exactly where to find what I was looking for. I never felt pressure to buy a car and he allowed me to take my time. My parents fell in love with him lol! He gave me the best deal with extra perks. When I wrecked my car and I need another one, I called Jay right at the site of the accident. I had to go back because the customer service Toyota of Sanford provides is out of the world! I bought a 2013 Toyota Camry and Tye and Jay worked together to give me the best deal for my budget. They focused on what I wanted and found exactly what I needed. Even after having my new car for a month now Tye calls to make sure everything is running well with my car! I don't think I will go any where else to buy a car. The Toyota of Sanford staff treat you like family. I went to this dealership with the intentions to buy a used car. My direct dealings were with Gerald who was very professional and pleasant. Gerald was very helpful and concerned about my needs. He was willing to do his best to work with my budget. My rating is because the sales manager was trying to take advantage of what he saw as an opportunity to "over charge". I was very blunt and direct with what I was able to do on a monthly payment. I asked for something between $275-$300 and was willing to put down $500 along with a trade in. Now granted my trade in was not running due to the transmission but still it was something. They explained to me that my trade in was no good because it was not running. So I accepted that and hoped to still be able to do a deal. Day 1- The sales manager offered me a $400 mthly payment, i immediately declined and again explained that I could not pay that much. He went back to his office to work some numbers again and came back with the same price, offering me only $200 on my 1999 4D Ford Explorer. I again declined his offer. Gerald asked me to give him another day to try some other options and they should be able to come up w/ something. Day 2 (7 days later)- I arrived to the Toyota lot around 10am, I actually had a car to drive there and trade in. It was a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I met with Gerald and explained that I could trade in that car so he spoke with the sales manager to see how much they could put towards my purchase. After about 6 hours of running numbers (so he says), the sales manager brings me a figure for payments of $364 for a 2010 Toyota Corolla. I was still not happy with that at all but was willing to go with it deal simply because of my desperate need for a car. So I handed over the title to the Jeep Grand and proceeded with signing papers. The sales manager came over and asked me if I had "the other title" (referring to the Ford Explorer). I know i gave him a funny look, and said "no but i can get it". Then i started thinking to myself "why does he need the other title". So i asked. "So you want both cars for the trade in?" and he replied yes. So then i looked at the paper work again and only saw $750 for the trade in price. I then became very upset. How can u tell me you wont event take my Ford Explorer because it is not running but then ask me for it along with the Jeep and only give me $750 total. So i again declined the deal. After declining he then says ok no Ford, just the Jeep and we give you $750. So i said ok and we moved forward. Now by this time i am totally stressed, hungry, thirsty and just ready to get the whole thing over with. Gerald was on his way to gas up my new Toyota Corolla and all i had to do was sign more papers and give my $500. Well the story gets worse. When i first met Gerald i explained to him that i really was not prepared to buy a car so i didnt have $500 just laying around and I asked if my down payment could be done in 2 checks. Gerald assured me that it would be no problem. When i got to the finance office to finish up everything I provided the 2 checks and he quickly says "no i can't take this one, it's post dated and thats illegal for us to take". I said ok well now what. He goes over to speak to the sales manager and comes back with the bad news again that I cant pay the down payment in 2 checks. I was so done by this point i quickly grabbed all my things and rushed out totally embarrassed. The sales manager said nothing to me. I felt like i was targeted from the beginning as "an easy customer to get over on". That sales manager should be ashamed of the type of business deal he tried to set me up for. I will never go there again, and would not recommend anyone to their business. Not only was i there all day but i left with nothing accomplished and i feel like they wasted my time.

I talked with Dan Graham and Joe Winns from Toyota of Sanford, and told them what we were looking in a new car. There were only 14 in the southeast region and they located one in New Bern. The dealership went to New Bern from Sanford to get the vehicle and then brought the vehicle to me in Zebulon from Sanford. That is a one way trip time of one hour and twenty minutes from Sanford to Zebulon. Dan explained all features on the car, which was loaded with new technology. We went to the dealership a few days after that and bought the car. After the sale Dan called twice within twentyfour hours to see if I had any questions or problems with the car. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the car and closing transaction. This was our second purchase from Toyota of Sanford and if we purchase another vehicle, the first place we will go will be Toyota of Sanford and deal with Dan and Joe again.

I purchased a 2013 FJ Cuiser Black on Saturday requesting that the decal not be put on the vehicle and was told it would arrive on Monday, it didn't arrive till Tuesday which was fine, stuff happens. It was dark and rainy when I picked the vehicle up and when the sun came out, you could see brush scratches all over it, oh and it had a decal. I called the dealer back and they told me to bring it in the next day and I said I would. When I took it in on Wednesday Josh told me that the detailer wouldn't be in until the next day, this would have been really nice to know before I even left the house. Thanks for wasting my time.I bring the vehicle back on Thursday and leave the vehicle with them expecting the work to get done and had also request that the vehicle be refilled with gas, since the only place I have driven, is back and forth from the dealership and they had agreed to that. Later that evening, I get a call from Josh telling me that the detailer will not be in until Friday, so I leave the vehicle there over night. On Friday I went to pick my vehicle up and went over it, still scratches in the paint and the ones I couldn't see were only hidden under wax. They also wanted me to wait so they could fill the tank up, I didn't, they should have filled it before I got there besides I was already mad and felt like a made a mistke, after all they called me saying it was ready, which it wasn't. During this paint issue they kept telling me "well its black paint" scratches are more easily seen. I had owned a 2009 Black Traverse for 4 years and it's paint still looks like it was new whith no brush scratches in it.You don't use brushes on vehicles to wash them or you get what happened to the FJ, it is that simple. You don't tell someone who just bought a brand new vehicle that "scratches" are ok when they cover %90 of the body.They have failed at what would seem to be a simple task, I just don't see how I could ever trust them to service my vehicle and I will never purchase another vehicle from them again nor recommend anyone to buy from them.

Very friendly and helpful sales stuff, but my used car had a number of problems. From bad tie rod ends to worn rear brakes, the oil wasn't changed, the wiper blades were falling apart, the clutch slave cylinder was leaking, and a rear bulb was blown. It seems like they never did their pre-delivery inspection. Overall good place to buy, but if its a used car expect to spend some money fixing it up to run perfectly. Also, I wanted to mention that their online ad (on their website) mentioned the car was a "non smoker" but it smelled horribly of cigarettes when I test drove it, and I later found a lot of cigarette butts inside of the center console. I am disappointed about this as it seems to directly contradict what they advertised on their ad.

Just a not to say how Brian Brooks goes out of his way to help any customer. My stepson's van (a KIA) starting cutting off on us Saturday morning on the interstate. The ESC light came on and then the computer shut the engine down. This continued 6 times until we limped into a shopping center parking lot. I called Brian at Toyota in Sanford because I have purchased Toyota's from Toyota of Sanford and knew them to be very helpful. I could not have imagined how helpful until I called at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. A very gracious lady answered the phone (imagine my surprise when I got a human) and I told her I needed to speak to a service manager because I had a problem and needed advice. Brian Brooks came on the phone and I relayed my situation. He said it would be best to get to a KIA certified techician but that there was one thing he might suggest that could possibly help me. He said to remove the positive battery cable from the terminal and wait a couple of minutes and reconnect it to reboot the computer. I did so and the van has run great since. Whether or not this is a permanent fix or not is not my point. My point is the receptionist and Brian cared enought to help someone without it meaning any income for them or Toyota of Sanford. These are great people and if every business could learn this customer service lesson how great would that be!!!Thanks Brian!!

In today's economy everyone is feeling the pinch as we try to get as much as we can out of service departments but you never expect to get something for nothing. I bought a used car from Dan Graham, a Mercury Sable, nice car but it had been overlooked as far as service before delivery.I live 100 miles from this dealership, I returned the next day with a few problems and Luther White, the service manager, stepped up and addressed each of my concerns with patience and understanding, he assured me all is well and there shouldn't be any other problems. Unfortunately another problem arose and I once again drove back to Sanford per Luthers' suggestion, and once again they made a believer of me. Not only did they fix the problem, fill my tank with gas TWICE, all this at no cost, I was shocked.Toyota of Sanford earned my business as well as everyone else in my address book, absolutely the best dealership I've ever been to. Special thanks to Robert Hunter ASM for his concern and great customer service skills. Keep up the good work guys. Our salesman was fantastic, in fact this is our 2nd time buying a car from him, however I gave customer service a 4 because the finance department was not as pleasant to deal with. With children at home we were anxious to return home but after 6 hours we finally had to leave and come back the next day to finish up the paperwork. After another 3-4 hours the next morning we were finally able to leave with our vehicle. I don't know why it took so long but from my experience, this is the longest time we have ever waited to finalize the deal. If it were not for Tom, our salesman, we would not have been as happy with our purchase. I recommend Sanford Toyota, but ask for Tom.

Our daughter Jennifer brought her first car from Toyota Of Sanford. When I started looking for a truck she insisted we go there first. Well you know what they say first impressions are lasting ones. That's what they did for us. Our salesperson Tom Geirok was great and very accommodating. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. Once we made the decision to purchase and that it would be the Tacoma, he worked with us further in getting us both the price we wanted.Everyone at the dealership was so very friendly and accommodating from the sales manager to the finance staff. I purchased a used Hyundai Santa Fe from Dan at Toyota of Sanford. I visited on a Monday to see the vehicle that was listed on their web site. Dan showed me the vehicle and they evaluated my trade. We didn't even talk price on the vehicle as I was just beginning my search. I looked at several other vehicles around the Triangle but came back to buy the vehicle from Dan because of the small town, low pressure environment I felt from the previous Monday. We were on our way to the Honda Dealership so we could find something better on gas mileage when my wife said we should check Toyota of Sanford since I had bought my Tundra there. So we did and walked out leasing a 2011 Camry. This was the first time that my wife had ever been able to pick out the color of the car that she wanted, she was so excited. We picked the Green Alloy that they had to search the other dealerships for first and then changed back to the one we test drove after leaving the dealership to the Barcelona Red, they rushed to get it cleaned and gassed up. Since it was so late they allowed us to go ahead and take the Camry home and Greg came to the house on Monday before it started snowing and we signed the documents then. We couldn't be more pleased with the ease of the process. Greg Davison was so friendly and accomodating in taking us on our test drive and in helping us to get the best lease price on our limited budget. Greg answered all our questions and wasn't pushy, trying to get us to buy something we didn't want. Greg really bent over backward to get us exactly what we wanted and at the price we wanted too! Everyone at the dealership was so very friendly and accomodating from the sales manager to the finance staff. This was the best car buying experience we have had in a very long time! i had bought 2 previous vehicles through sanford toyota. I research intensively which vehicle, with which options I wanted. I called numerous dealerships from around the tri-city area. Sanford was by far the most attentive and helpful dealership. Great price and smooth transaction. Had the vehicle I wanted there the next day. Dealer then literally delivered the keys to my front door because I was home attending to a sick child. Very friendly and cooperative, great experience!

Well, the urge hit me to buy a new truck in November 2010. It only comes every few years like a tsunami. Where to go to buy a new truck is no question, no debate-Toyota of Sanford. So I call Dan Graham. He offers to come in during his vacation to help me look for a truck. A very kind offer, but of course I defer until after his vacation. Later we meet and research Tundras by computer. After narrowing my choices down to three versions of Tundra Crew Cabs with 5.7 liter, 387HP, V8 engines but with different colors and options. Two weeks later, after my out of state trip, I return to Dan at Toyota of Sanford. We discuss my choice of a dark blue exterior with brown interior. Just about to confirm the decision, I ask Dan to search one last time for a blue Tundra with grey interior. Dan finds one located in another North Carolina town. After that, I was tempted to call him "Dan the Man", but there is only one "The Man" and that is Stan "The Man" Musial of baseball fame.While I wait for the vehicle to arrive, Eddie Seals, Finance Manager, completed the bank details. Larry DeWitt and Dusty Phillips were wonderful to work with. I thought I knew what I wanted when I visited this dealership but, I didn't and I was so wishy washy and so worried about paying to much for a New vehicle. They were both very patient, knowledgable and they truly listened and made sure me and my 5 year old got the perfect vehicle to fit our lifestyle. Very pleasant car buying experience. Tom was very friendly, knew his product well and was extremely informative. He enabled us to take the car home over a weekend so we could test drive it a second time. He worked with us to achieve the payment level we wanted and explained our options.Finance manager Eddie Seals spent considerable time explaining the warranty options which I found quite confusing. We finally opted for the 7 year, 100,000 mile coverage.He, as well, took time to explain everything he was doing in setting up the contract. He also gave us a very good explanation covering our payment options. All in all, as I stated above, my most pleasant car buying experience ever.I would certainly recommend Tom and the dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

What a great car buying experience! On July 28th 2010 I was in a car accident in which caused the total loss of my car. With that incident happening I was in the market for a new car. I went to Toyota of Sanford knowing I was looking for a pre-owned 4runner. Upon arriving I was helped by Mr. Davison, who was very friendly and helpful in finding me what I was in the market for. Even though what I was looking for was not on their lot Mr. Davison searched other places and found me exactly what I wanted. So on August 11th 2010 I became the proud owner of a 2006 4-runner,thanks to Mr. Davison and all the friendly employees of Toyota of Sanford!

We just bought our beautiful 2010 Corolla yesterday and couldn't be more pleased with the ease of the process. Greg Davison was so friendly and accomodating in taking us on several test drives and in helping us to get the pricing and finance rate we needed for our limited budget. Greg answered all our questions and wasn't pushy, trying to get us to buy something we didn't want. Greg really bent over backward to get us exactly what we wanted and at the price we wanted too! This dealership was a great place to purchase a vehicle. I purchased a 2005 Ford F150 in Feb. of this year and my girlfriend purched a 2007 Camry LE in the last couple of days. The atmosphere in the dealership was very friendly and laid back, as soon as I pulled up to the dealership I was welcomed and asked how I could be assited. We both dealt with Tom Gierok and he was great. He was very knowledgeable, calm and prepared. Tom was very patient and was helpful in getting us to the price that we were looking to pay for each vehicle also. If you are looking for a new Toyota or a used vehicle on this lot, I highly recommend Tom. Overall, when it is time for me to purchase another vehicle whether it be a new toyota or a used vehicle i will be ruturning to Toyota Scion of Sanford.

Family! That is the word. To describe the atmosphere at Toyota of Sanford one has to use no other word than "family". Mr. Dan Graham and Mr. Eddie Seals present themselves more like "family" than businessmen/salesmen. Yes, the cars and trucks are great. The prices and deals are competitive, and mostly better. Sure, I could go elsewhere to get the truck to pull my boat, or to buy my college son his wheels for driving around The University of Alabama while impressing the Tide coeds. But, Dan Graham and Eddie Seals won't be at the other dealerships. No Sir, I am no fool, commissions and profits are made each time I purchase a vehicle-that is the charm of capitalism. But I want to insure these mundane but necessary items stay with those who treat me and mine as "family". Some of my former Special Forces buddies criticize me for not buying American. I tell them everyone I saw at Toyota of Sanford is American. And I tell you this, Dan and Eddie could be descendants of Tojo himself and I would buy my car from them. On July 19,2010 my wife in I were in an accident which reulted in the lose of our vehicle. I call Toyota/Scion of Sanford, NC and set up an appointment. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly employess and treated with nothing but kindness. Our saleman was Dan Graham and took care of us in a very professional manner. I told Dan exactly what I wanted and he took us straight to the vehicle. After looking at the vehicle and test driving the 2011 Camry I was sold. The price was outstanding and our visit was pleasant and quick. We were introduce by Dan to the staff that will be taking care of our maintencance on the vehicle and all of them were professional and very kind. I would highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing a toyota to go see Dan. It did not feel like a business transaction at all and by the time we were finished Dan felt like a part of our family. We are very happy with our decision to go to Toyota/Scion of Sanford.

I purchase a car about every ten years and one of the reasons for that is that I hate having to deal with the haggling process and the feeling of being swindled after the deal is completed. With Toyota of Sanford, it wasn't like that. The staff are very personable and friendly and made buying a car a pleasurable experience. Our salesman, Dan Graham, followed up with us to make sure we were happy with our vehicle and to see if we had any further questions about our automobile. Outside of the dread of having a car payment, I would recommend doing business at this dealership.

We returned to Toyota Scion after an excellent experience four years ago. We asked for the same salesman and he was with Toyotas of Scion (Fred Anderson 4 years ago)Dan makes it easy to purchase a car. Calm, knowledgeable, prepared and helpful. He was not pushy! We were all ready somewhat knowledgeable with the 2010 Yarus. Dan filled us in on new improvements of the 2010. He did show the four door but we were in the Market for a two door. Dan found a dealer in the Raleigh area who had a red model and said it was ready when it would be.Our plans that day when we were in Sanford did not really include purchasing a car.We had no information regarding how much better or worse gas mileage was and is on the new car. After talking with Dan he showed us comparisons and they were satisfactory. We were inclined to go to the dealer because they were having the contest where you win "something" with the number on the advertisement scratched and matched to numver in dealership. We did receive something, a lottery ticket but it didn't match the one we wanted. We are happy with the free service checkup,0 interest and warranty. We had no problem with the 1906 Yarus and gave it rave reviews when people would see us in parking lots. Our only problem has seemed to be the nicks and dings from shopping carts etc. Perhaps your engineers can find a design to minimize them in the next design revamp.We utilize our Yarus to go back and forth to food shop and attend water exercise classes 3 times per week. We love it!

Great experience at Toyota/Scion of Sanford, especially compared to the mega dealer in Durham, NC. Toyota of Sanford did not give me hard sell at all either on a car or on extended warranties/service on the car I wound up buying from them. The process was straightforward, friendly, and overall a very good car-buying experience. In terms of price, and negotiation, before I went to the dealer I had looked up the invoice price of the car and had prepared to the talk the salesman down to the invoice price; instead the salesman opened with the invoice price and we trimmed a bit off from there. It felt like it was a very fair process for the customer - the dealer was making some profit, but not fleecing you. I also thought the dealer service was great & went beyond the call of normal duty - they car I bought on a Saturday wasn't being delivered until Monday, and the salesman personally delivered it to me in Chapel Hill, rather than making me drive back to Sanford. The next time I buy a Toyota I will definitely go to Toyota/Scion of Sanford, and I will definitely recommend to anyone else in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area looking for a Toyota to make the 30 minute drive to Toyota/Scion of Sanford.

Dan Graham, Internet Sales Manager, was superb; going far above what I would expect from even an excellent salesman. He found precisely the car I was looking for a price within my budget and had it in my hands in two days. He even drove 35 miles from the dealer location to pick me up and drive me to the dealership. This is the definition of excellent customer service as far as I can tell from the experience. Paperwork was minimal, transaction was quick, entire staff friendly and accommodating. I will definately be buying any further vehicles I might need from this salesman and this dealership.

Dustin sold me my first two cars: One when I was 18 and one when I was 21. 10 years later, I have bought my third car from him which says a lot in it self. Throw in Dan, an extraordinary car salesman, who is very knowledgeable in his line of work and you have the recipe for great business. I have used this dealership in the past for all of my automotive needs and have always found it to be a pleasant experience. My recent purchase of a new Venza was typical, though they did not have exactly what I wanded on the lot due to reduced production.Dan took extraordinary measures to find what I wanted and did, so we cut a deal. It took some time for the car to arrive and when I went to pick it up, I was informed that Toyota and authorized an additional $500 reduction in price, therefor the deal was reduced by $500. It's a rare thing these days to find that you have to pay less than you had agreed to. The dealership could have kept quiet and I would not have known the difference. Integrity is still alive and well at this dealership! I will continue to use them for my future automotive needs.

It was a great car buying experience! Dan was cordial and polite but used no pressure tactice. While outside on the lot, as we decided about color, details, etc., he was patient and helpful. Inside the show room, he offered us coffee and was attentive to our comfort. Explanations about the features of the car and details about paperwork and financing were presented clearly and precisely. After only a short time with Dan, he seemed like an old friend. He appeared genuinely committed to getting a great deal for us. Extremely satisfied with the experience. Telephoned in the morning, arrived at the dealership around 2:30pm and closed the deal on a new Camry SE in an hour. Tom was patient, gave cogent explanations and made my son and I very comfortable. No pressure or high-octane 'badgering" made doing the deal a pleasure. Same situation with Dustin Phillips, the credit man. Will look forward to recommending Sanford Toyota to my friends and will certainly use them again when its time to replace the vehicle.

Dan Graham was the best car salesman that I have worked with. He seemed to be most interested in giving information and being helpful, rather than being high pressure. In fact, he let my wife and I take turns driving the truck, showed us various and numerous features, and gave us brochures, without discussing numbers and pushing us to buy right away. He was very personal and felt like a friend, rather than a pushy salesman. When we returned with the intent to buy, he was again very helpful and friendly. We had an excellent experience and appreciate his time greatly. The sales manager was honest and gave us a fair deal. The facilities are very nice and we were given a full tour. I would highly recommend this dealership and the staff to anyone shopping for a high quality vehicle. We are greatly satisfied with both the service and the vehicle!

I am a loyal customer of Toyota of Sanford. I purchased my Camery there in 2002, and have been extremely satisfied with T of S and their Service Dept.. In fact that, I would alway praise T of S great service dept. (Phillip Hill,Man./ Luther) and tell my friends that I would spend the extra gas just to get the great customer service and quality care given each and every visit!!So....When it came time to purchase a used vehicle for my 21 yr old, I didn't hesitate to call up and see if there were some possibilities on the lot. I was greated on the phone by Tom Gierok, sales... He was very eager to help and was very polite. I had another salesman in mind, but later learned that he was no longer there. Anyway, I was happy with Tom. He never pressured. I liked that, also, he has a great personality! (funny guy!) Anyway, drove up one night, looked and drove back the next morning with child in tow, to look at what was available. We ended up driving away that day with a vehicle very close to her $$ she was willing to spend and everyone was happy:). I can't express how satisfied I am with Toy. of San. New Tundra, tried to get the truck thru Rick Hendirick, they couldnt get one until end of month, ready to put down deposit on truck, at the last moment checked with Sanford Toyota, they could get the truck next day, stopped in to work the details, they beat Hendrick by 3K with the very first offer, I didnt even try to go lower, it was a great deal that I felt extremely happy with. They even drove to SC and bring the truck up from another dealer. Great people to work with, very freindly, no pressure, great atmosphere. Trucks great, smooth ride and nice to look at. Will stop by Sandford when ready to replace current Sienna and purchase kids first car (Corolla). Will take all my service work to them as well. Thanks!!

When we arrived, we were not bombarded by the the sales staff. Tom came out and was never pushy. Tom took the time to fully explain all of the features of the car as well as answered all of our questions. He was very professional and patient even when we were discussing purchasing the vehicle. My experience was very positive. The whole experience was so positive that my wife and I came back within one month and purchased another vehicle from Tom and Toyota of Sanford. We went to another Toyota dealership in the area before buying the second vehicle, yet we were made to feel that volume was more important than customer service. My husband and I visited Toyota of Sanford to purchase a Corolla for our son. Greg Davison was the sales rep that we dealt with. Mr. Davison was professional and courteous without being stuffy and overbearing. He was eager to listen to our needs and did not "high-pressure" us into buying something that we did not want. Greg almost made us feel like we were dealing with family. In fact, all of the personnel, including other sales reps, made us feel very comfortable. At the close of our sale, I couldn't help but to express that this experience was the "most fun" I've ever had purchasing a new car!! Our daughter has a VW Beetle Convertible and when she saw her brother's car....well, let's just say it looks like we may be making another visit to Toyota of Sanford sometime in the near future.
