We walked into the Garvey showroom, not sure who to talk to. To our good fortune, Bill Albrecht was the first to greet us. He immediately tuned into what we were hoping to accomplish both in a vehicle itself and price range. We purchased a new Genesis through Bill Albrecht our salesperson. It was not necessarily what we came in to look at but Bill’s knowledge of the vehicles helped us decide. She is very well equipped with knowledge on every aspect of Vehicle purchase. We selected the vehicle we liked on the website as we lived an hour far. We have been provided with all the information needed on the phone to decide on the vehicle/ Trim and all the incentives available at dealership. The auto loan from Hyundai motors got approved online and a small deposit made on the phone to hold the vehicle to be picked up on the weekend. All the documentation was ready when we arrived at the dealership and took the vehicle for the spin, In and out about an hour. Everything went smooth. Very friendly and helped us with with every question we had. We will definitely Recommend buying a car from Garvey. No BS experience!!!

I went to Garvey to talk about a new lease, after seeing an email being advertised with a great monthly payment. I walked in, Mark Goodwin introduced himself to me immediately. I asked for help in turning in my lease for one with a lower payment. I told him I didn't have a lot of time, but I was just checking to see if it could really be done as advertised. He explained everything to me, showed me a car in my color choice, we tried it out.....and I wanted it!! It didn't take a long time to reach an agreement. I picked the car up a few hours later, after cleaning mine out. Call Mark Goodwin! He's a genuine salesperson....not like some of them with attitude....he made the car experience fun and easy! Thanks, Mark!

Strongly recommend Garvey Hyundai if buying a car. Dennis Albrecht, our salesman is a great ambassador for the product and has given us exemplary customer service over the years. My only drawback with buying a Hyundai is that they always try to nickel and dime you by throwing in first aid kits, cargo nets, cargo boxes, and floor mats that I already have from buying previous Hyundais, and you can't have them taken off from the sale. It amounts to over $400.00 of junk I don't need or want.

I was once happy there........then the fun begun. I got my first new car. I EXPECTED to get what I wanted FINANCIALLY!!! THEN! While I was in there hearing this and that about the financial part of it, I found MUCH DIFFERENTLY when I went to sign the paperwork. They ended up giving me something I would NOT have taken IF I wasn't desperate for a car b/c of an accident and not having a car!!! I was ANGERED!!! I didn't really want that, but at the time I had VERY LITTLE choice. So I ended up taking it. THEN MORE fun!!! I keep getting MEGA CALLS AND paper offers about ANOTHER NEW car!!! They are WELL AWARE of my financial circumstances!!! I have told them this over and over and over until I'm BLACK in the face!!! NOT EVEN BLUE!!! This past week, after having my car now for now nearly 2 yr. time, I got OVER NINE calls in the past FOUR DAYS! They are calling me OFF THE HOOK!!! It's EXTREMELY ANNOYING! THEY KNOW MY CIRCUMSTANCES SO PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE NOW! I got 2 cars from them and ONLY was VERY IRATE recently! Between the financial thing that I went through to get the car, STUFF I WAS PROMISED but they could NOT come through on, and NOW THIS, I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! IF you want to be CONSTANTLY BUGGED, then GO to them! But after I was told MANY times from the salesman that I got Both of my cars from, the one I have now and my previous, that they CAN'T help me ANY further and I SHOULD keep the car I now have! I'm EXTREMELY happy w/it, don't get me wrong........but they CONSTANTLY CALL me to try to get me to purchase ANOTHER NEWER CAR, which I can NOT do financially and THEY ARE WELL AWARE OF IT!! So either come through w/what I SAID I CAN AFFORD OR LEAVE ME BE!!! I've NOW HAD ENOUGH OF THIS CRAP of CONSTANT CALLING AND MAILINGS w/PROMISES PROMISES AND MORE PROMISES!!! GET IT GARVEY??? So IF you want to CONSTANTLY be bugged by them........then hit this place up! IF you DON"T, as I DON"T!!!! THEN STAY THE HECK AWAY!!!! Knowing my financial needs and preferences, Joe Taylor suggested I take a test drive of the newly designed Tucson because he knew I would like it. He was right. I wanted one in Ruby Wine and there were none on the lot but they got one there in just a few days. The whole process was very smooth and working with Joe Taylor is always a pleasure. I have an Elantra. Piece of plastic bumper ripped off - looks like a shark bite - was told by body shop that plastic contracts with extreme cold ? Never heard that before ! Then told " they don't make them like they used to" . Also mysterious hole in black strip that is under my wipers - was told I must've done it. Not impressed. All good until you have an actual problem. Service manager ? Lol don't bother. Mr. Garvey - well he already has my money and no longer cares about this customer. Use caution and make sure to check out bumpers and undercarriage. Will never go back here. -

Worked with Jordan to get my 1st Hyundai, love the car - big step up from my old car I traded in. ONly thing I'm not happy with is the speaker system. The stereo system its self is great with the CD/XMSirius/FM/AM/MP3 system, however the speakers in the car sound like they're made from paper plates and tin cans. Will be looking to have to replaced in the very near future.The car over all rides smooth, love all the features and really enjoy driving it.

I had to trade in two vehicles ( one was a lease) on the purchase of one new car. The car I wanted had a $5000 discount because it was a loaner. The two cars I traded were in excellent condition. They offered me nothing for them and actually charged me the $5000 for the traded car. Plus snuck in the tire shine warranty which is crap for another $500. This is my third trip to Garvey to either lease or purchase a car and I was not treated as a loyal customer or that I had any value but a dollar sign to them. Shame on you! I will never go back to Garvey and have taken any reference to your dealership off my car. If anyone asks I will tell them if you are buying a new or used car to go somewhere else!

Garvey sold us a pre-owned vehicle. Well let me say first, the sales person called to say he got the deal done. When we arrived he told us the real story. My credit was not good so he took the person that was co-signing and contracted the loan to her. In addition, to my surprise the sales person added a $3000 after market warranty through Warranty Solutions without asking first! Leaving us with this is it take it or leave it. Also, the sales person promised a second ignition key, a speaker cover, and key to the roof rack. He said, " the keys were miss placed and he would find them, if not he would order them. Weeks went by I kept calling before I got an answer. I was told the used car manager said no. That's when I asked for Mr. Garvey. I went round and round with these guys about keys, brakes, air conditioning. The best part is the after market warranty they told us was the best ever...SUCKS! The engine had an internal failure, which will require a complete engine to repair it. The warranty companies "adjuster" said it was not covered. I called Warranty Solutions, Garvey and the Warranty solutions rep...They did nothing. The warranty companies independent adjuster was rude, refused to show his Identification and swore at me several times in front of a hand full of customers and patrons because I told him not to touch my vehicle. Reason being, the warranty company promised to send a different adjuster to give it a fresh look. They did not! They send the same arrogant, lame brain again. Moral of the Story....Do not buy from GARVEY Do not buy Warranty Solutions aftermarket warranty. I'm paying for a Car for the next 4 years with no engine I can not drive.

He immediately understood that the vehicle in Massachusetts was a much better value, and after 2 to 3 conversations over the phone, we reached what I thought was a reasonable price. It was very easy dealing with Martin.I drove to Garvey within a few hours, half expecting that the agreement we had reached over the phone would not be honored. My concerns were unnecessary, as the process could not have been smoother or easier. I expressed one concern about the vehicle, and we quickly negotiated another $200 off the price. I put down a $100 deposit, and then came back the next day with a cashier's check to complete the transaction. No surprises, no changes. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. All the paperwork, plates, registration, etc. were perfect and I felt that the documentation fee was quite reasonable.This was a fantastic car buying experience for me, and I would highly recommend dealing with Garvey, specifically Martin Stab.Just for the record, I waited about 2 months to write this review, just to make sure there were no issues with the used vehicle. The vehicle is great, just like the buying experience.

Ben called us in January (?) to inquire about our lease needs. Our lease was up in May and we were going on vacation so his timing was a little early, but he convinced us to talk to him. My husband told him to call back in Feb. (we had some medical issues we were dealing with)...and he didn't bug us...but he did call us back. We decided to go look at the 2014 vehicles and decided to go before we went away. When we went to Garvey, as any car dealership, we weren't even parked when we were approached by the "next" salesman up! We asked for Ben because he was so polite and not pushy when he had called the first two times and we had promised to see him. Ben was very knowledgeable and "went the extra mile" for us. He was able to meet our price and give us an earlier car , but it had "power seats"...HYUNDAI has to now add...REMEMBER POSITION...what a pain when your husband is over 6 foot and you are 5 and 1/2 feet! What a pain! We hope Ben has a very successful career with Garvey! I was in Marketing and know how difficult it can be for a salesperson!

I was driving an Elantra that I really loved and wasn't intending to make a purchase. The newer models were designed so beautifully that he was happy going from the Sonata to an Elantra, and I saw a red Accent in a brochure and decided that I had to have it. Our new cars were delivered quickly, the sales staff are attentive, and informative. You will not find a better value. Our cars are solid, and feel luxurious, yes, even the Accent! They offer fantastic gas mileage, and we both love the traction control feature! Pretty cars, great value! We are without doubt Hyundai people!

I went into Garvey Hyundai to just take a look at their vehicles per my sons request. I found the Santa Fe to be a really nice looking vehicle so we took it for a test drive. After speaking with Ben on what I was looking for he worked with me, not at all being pushy as many sales people can be, and printed out a few pages of options should I decide to purchase a Hyundai. My experience with Ben Van Wert was excellent in every way. He thoroughly explained the features of the car and for what I needed for - an around town car, he led me in the right direction. I thought he was looking out for me and my needs in purchasing a new car. This is my first experience with your dealership and an Elantra and only wish for the same experience with your customer service and service departments when time presents itself. I will be contacting you folks for a cost estimate on a spare tire and jack that would fit my car. I'm old fashion and don't feel that great about what came with the car.

Right from the start the dealer seemed ok, while we test drove the car we liked the sales manager misplaced our keys. No big deal right. We made the deal the next day and traded in our vehicle for a new one. A couple weeks went by and we never received paperwork for the license plates off our trade in car that say the plates have been returned to DMV. After weeks of calling the salesman we got nowhere. We contact don Newman and he is very rude and not helpful at all. He almost acts as if its our fault they lost out plates. In the end I will never recommend this dealer to anyone. Bad news Garvey Hyundai !!!!

Went to get a new car told them I wanted it they detailed it and left a dent and 3 big scratches on it a d they didn't want to repair them and this is after I signed all the paper work to buy it, I brought the car to an auto body place it was over 500 dollars to fix the dent and scratches on a new car

I bought a car from Mark last week. What a GREAT salesman! He was very friendly and helpful in helping us pick out the perfect car! I will recommend him to anyone I know who is interested in buying! The sales manager Shane was also great in helping us get to the numbers the we wanted and that fit perfectly in our budget! And Matt in finance was also great In getting us a warranty but still keeping the payments at what we could afford. We are extremely happy with our purchase! However, the reason I gave the "friendliness" a 3 was because when I initially walked in looking for a car I went over to the young lady sitting under the Used Car Manager sign and was asking a few generic questions. She couldn't even look up from her you tube video to help me. Without even looking at me she said "you need to wait for a sales man" I was APPAULED that a "manager" would act like that!!! She had another girl at her desk and while I was looking at one of the cars in the show room the conversation that they were having was definitely NOT appropriate nor one a "manager" should be having. I have bought a couple cars from Garvey and have always had great service and until now have never had a negative thing. Whoever promoted her to a "manager" must have been sick that day, by far one of the worst calls to be made in that dealership. Apparently her YouTube video and Facebook page are more important than customer service.

ANN WAS THE SALESPERSON AND WAS VERY NICE. I went there VERY honest and told her my situation upfront not wanting to waste her time. SHE TOLD ME IT SOUNDED LIKE SHE COULD HELP. Don was the finance person and regardless of what I could afford had her come back with ridiculous offers. I told her I would not pay the price of a mortgage for a car. I was told they'd do their best & call me that afternoon or by 10:30 am next morning. 11:00 am & no call. I CALLED Them & reminded them IT WAS Saturday & I had no vehicle for Monday. I OFFERED MORE MONEY DOWN & raised my monthly limit to $350. AT 3:30 pm Sunday I get a call from Don saying good news! I can put you in a brand new car for $1500 down & $428 a month. WTH??? THANKS FOR WASTING MY WEEKEND. CLEAN OUT YOUR EARS. I went to Whiteman Chevrolet, got a lot more for my trade in, put a lot less DOWN, financed on my own, got a $1500 rebate & a monthly payment I could afford in ONE AFTERNOON. THANK YOU DEN!! You saved me! We have purchased two vehicles from Whiteman & about to make it 3 in our family.

I purchased a new vehicle in 2004 with Jesse Maiolo. Never having purchased a new vehicle before, Jesse made the transaction process extremely smooth; there was no unexpected hidden charges and he provided me with information I did not even think to ask. Since that wonderful experience, I knew I would never go to another dealer nor work with any other salesman. This past January, I had the unfortunate experience to be rear-ended and my Santa Fe was totalled. I called Jesse immediately and left a message with exactly what I wanted my next vehicle to contain.Within 15 minutes, Jesse called me back with a description of my new 2011 Santa Fe which was exactly what I wanted. I test drove her and put a payment down that night! Jesse continued to meet my expectations thoughout the entire process turning a very sad incident into the best thing that could have happened! I have always and will always continue to recommend him. I must add, too, that the service at Garvey's is second to none! Lastly, I should tell you that I have named her "Jessica"!

Our daughter recently bought a used Hyundai from a used car dealer in Vermont knowing that it needed 'some repairs.'We brought the car to Garvey for the repairs. After diagnosis, we found out that the problem was not at all what she had been told. Although much more expensive, she had no choice so repairs were begun. Then, they found an unrelated problem that we were unaware of which rendered the car too unsafe to pass inspection. They immediately stopped working on the car and contacted us. We found out that all the repairs would cost more than the car was worth and more than we could afford. Ultimately, this meant that the car was not worth repairing and our daughter lost everything. She was left with no money and a useless car. However, Garvey was willing to give us more than a fair trade in value for that car to put toward one of their used cars. In the end they were able to get us into one of their quality used cars for monthly payments that we could all live with. We cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude for what they did for us. Garvey went above and beyond what we ever imagined a dealership would do to help us out of our seemingly hopeless situation. The outcome of this experience will definitely have us coming back to them in the future when we need another vehicle. Garvey gets our highest recommendation as a quality, caring dealership to deal with.

I have owned a 2011 Equus for 18 months. Rear seat burlwood console was scratched up, my fault, not the manufacturer. Scott and Marc convinced Hyundai to replace it under warranty. I had done a lot of reading on the Elantra GT and Bill kept me up to date on it's arrival. He fully explained functions, features and benefits of the Hyundais in general and Elantras in particular. They didn't push unwanted add-ons or packages and offered a competitive price without a lot of haggling.

Mr Garvey I just wanted to share with you that Janet and I are currently buying our 5th car from Garveys Hyundai (2009 Azera). Janet and I have been kicking around buying a new car, we thought about the new Elantra, or Sonata, but then decided because of the comfort of the ride that we have gotten with our 2006 Azera that we really needed to stay with the Azera. I really wanted to purchase a 2011 Azera, and dragged my wife all over VT and NY looking at them. The problem we ran into was the Janet really wanted Black on Black, but Hyundai made them with the White stitching in the seats which in our opinion makes the car look cheap. We looked at the Pearl white one that you guys had for a long time but by the time we made a decision it was sold. We started kicking around the idea of waiting for the redesigned 2012 Azera, but finally decided that we liked the comfort of the seats in the current Azera and didnt want to take the chance of the 2012 seats not being as comfortable. We have stopped by many times bugging Joe Taylor and Rob and nothing was really shaking loose only because of lack of Azeras coming in. On one of these stops Joe asked about looking at the 2009 Azera, Janet was interested but I put my nose in the air as I thought we should get 2011. After looking at the 2009 and thinking about it some more we came in on Labor Day and had Rob give us some numbers and I told Rob I needed to go home and think about it. I went home and did a bunch of research on the computer checking out all Hyundai Certified Azeras within 300 miles of Poultney. I found a light blue 2009 Azera Limited with 10,000 miles in Little Falls NJ for $18,500 (240 miles from Poultney). This car was $2500 less than your GLS and had memory seats/mirrors and navigation system everything we wanted. I drove down there and looked at the car, it was at Rt 46 Dodge in Little Falls. When I got there I went and looked at the car spoke with the Salesman that was assigned to me, he had no idea who I was or that I was coming, much less what I was interested in, even though I had emailed and called prior to going down there and was told who my salesman was going to be. I came home and sent Joe an email with some concerns and things that I wanted and I made it clear that we were ready to do something if my concerns were met. Joe got my email addressed my concerns with Rob and Don and called me within an hour of him getting my email and had the answers to my issues. Both Rob and Don listened to Joe and all three worked to make both Janet and I feel that our concerns were important and more importantly that our business was important even though it was a used car and not a new car. Don found us a financing program that was % lower then what he originally quoted me and made sure that I had the extended warranty that I wanted and not what he originally quoted me on. I wanted mud flaps and wind deflector for our car that we were purchasing and I had done research on the computer on the Garvey on line shop and knew what the items cost. When I asked about the parts I was told that I would have to go home and order the parts on line to get that price posted and have the parts shipped to Garveys for installation. I was somewhat frustrated initially but have been in the Army long enough (39+ years) to know that sometimes you just have to do things the way they tell you to get them done. As I was finalizing my conversation with Joe, the lady from parts that I had been talking to (dont know her name) came and told me that Marvin said Welcome to Garvey and he took care of ordering the parts and gave me the on line price. The last two people I wanted to mention are Fred Cooper and Scott Robinson. Both individual have been great to Janet and I. Scott does a great job of explain to us what the issue is with our car and following up with us when parts have come in to finish the repair. Ive talked to Fred a couple of times about things that I felt needed to be dealt with at his level and he has always listen to my concern and then has told me what he could or could not do out straight which I appreciate. All of the above people and what they have done for us are why we continue to buy from Garvey Hyundai and why I didnt buy the car from NJ with less mileage and a cheaper price. Janet feels comfortable talking with Joe and Scott and trust what they say to her. There are a lot of dealerships where this doesnt happen. We appreciate all that your people do for us and I wanted you to hear the good things your people are doing. Many times we are quick to say the bad things but slower to say the good things. Janet and I feel that we can always recommend Garveys and Joe Taylor and never feel like it will bite us. We appreciate feeling like part of a family when dealing with all the people that I have mentioned above. Thanks to you and your staff for another great buying and owning experience. I live in Guilderland. I was lied to by Lia. The sales person told me one price and then called me back two days later when he had located the car I wanted and told me the price was 500 higher and blamed his manager. I was treated like a king up at Garvey. Fuccilo seemed nice enough but price was too high and stock was low. I was elated with my experience, follow up by Shane and jeff AND i love my new tucson!!! I was worth going all the way up to Queensbury to deal with folks who are honest and do what they say...

Dennis worked with me to get a good price for my trade-in (a car we both knew was going to auction) but wasn't too pushy, even though he knew I needed to buy fairly soon. He followed up by phone after the sale. He also noticed the new vehicle had about 400 miles on it due to dealer trades, so sent me a refund check. And on my first oil change, the service department handed out a discount card. After 6 months, I don't like the vehicle much, but I still like the dealership! (I bought a Hyundai Santa Fe a few months before the Tuscon came out. Wish I'd waited.)
