I came in this monday 11/21 on short notice for my complimentary 5,000 mile check up. I had shad as a representative and he was a joy. Very sweet, helpful, and made sure I was informed about what was going on with my car so I had no questions when I left. What a great experience. Although, the gentleman working the desk to his right during that same time, was not very nice to anyone who walked through the doors, including myself, very off putting. I'll be sure to request shad every time I go in for service.

I just bought my new prius and I had to write about my experience with gatorland. There was no pressure and no gimmicks. It was the absolute best experience. I walked it and was met by Eliajah, so polite and respectful. He asked me what I was looking for and asked some great questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I got an amazing deal, a great trade in for my 2011 prius, and great service. As fate would have it I got a flat tire 2 days later and the tire was ruined. The parts department overnighted the tire, we took it tot the service department and had no wait while they mounted my tire. I ended up interacting with sales, management, finance, parts, and service. Every aspect was 5 stars. Gatorland was completely different than any dealership I had dealt with before and I am so happy I went to them. Respect and genuine manners go along way with me. If you are looking for a great car buying experience, you should go to gatorland.

If you're looking for a new vehicle ask for Trevor! My experience was beyond excellent and Trevor worked with me quickly, efficiently, and treated me as a priority. I came from out of town and needed to get back quickly as I didn't have a lot of time. Always happy after an oil change check and confident my car is as safe as possible and confident my car is up to any trip. I have had a Toyota since 2009 and have stayed with the same service man because he is the best. He is interested, competent and doesn't waste time. Everyone should drive a safe car, our roads would be more relaxing to drive on. Bring back the inspections! Sometimes I think I'm the only one out there that would pass.

I have owned Toyota's for the past 24 years. I just took my 2005 Toyota Sienna Minivan in for a complete check up. Austin, the assistant service Manager took care of all my needs from checking me in to making sure I was notified of the problems they found that needed immediate service and those that could wait till next time. He and the rest of the staff are very professional and friendly. If you need a car (I've bought 6 Toyota's there) or service, this is the place to go in North Central Florida.

Bob and Cliff were absolutely amazing! We're from Illinois and this was an online purchase where I never met the staff until the day I picked it up! It is scary to buy a used car and commit to buying it when you never physically saw it or drove it! But this experience was phenomenal and it was like we were talking to them face to face! My salesman, Mr. Dan Maher made the experience of buying a vehicle so pleasant. I have purchased a number of cars from this dealership over the years and the improvement in the service, attitudes of personnel, and general ambiance has undergone a marked improvement. My recent purchase of a new hybrid Camry was totally positive. There was no game playing, (a previous purchase at this dealership took nearly all day) I was offered a fair price and my purchased was processed efficiently and rapidly. There was a time in the past that I swore I would never buy another vehicle at Gatorland, but no longer. Whoever reworked and redesigned this dealership is to be congratulated on a fine turn-around. The optional add-ons were fully explained to me and were not pushed.beyond an explanation and recommendation - which I certainly appreciated. .

Our purchase experience at this dealer was very positive. We came into the dealership with Consumer Reports info and they welcomed it. We started talking real numbers without a lot of messing around and sealed a satisfactory deal quickly. At purchase, we bought a maintenance package for the first several years service and also the "Auto butler" package that will do detailing at each six month service. The first six month service was in general good and their facilities are very nice. I was disappointed that they did not ask about any help we might need with the Entunes which is not a particularly user friendly app for the phone. At the one year service both the maintenance and auto butler were done efficiently, but when we got home we noticed a bunch of very obvious problems with the paint on the back of our Rav 4. We immediately took it back and the dealership could not solve the problem, telling us that it looked as if there was a problem in the pain coating that would be covered under warranty. They gave us a number to call which we did; our call was never returned. We called the dealership several days later and registered a complaint. They said that the Service Manager would call us back; our call was never returned. We finally have made an appointment to have it looked at by the dealership, but now have just received a phone call saying that the individual is in training and has to reschedule. Since this is a warranty problem, I am disappointed that the dealership did not own it from the start. We should not have to be calling all over to figure out who should solve the problem. They have told us that they don't provide the "Auto Butler" service, but they sold it to us at the time of purchase so I think it is their responsibility to make this right. We will see when what happens when we finally get to keep an appointment.

My husband and I received GREAT customer service from Buck! We knew exactly what we wanted when we walked in the door -- a Honda Civic from the last 3-4 years. I went to visit Gatorland a couple of weeks ago when I was buying a new Prius V. This was my first time buying a new car, and I was really intimidated by the idea of walking into a dealership on my own, but the sales consultant I worked with quelled that anxiety. I was upfront about the fact that I had a deal secured with a friend in my home town and that I really, truly would not be buying from the Gatorland dealership (because's my friend back home was really cutting me an insanely cheap deal). I was there just to ask questions, and not to buy that day, and James Sugg (the consultant) was really kind and respectful of that. He patiently answered all my questions and showed me the model I was interested in, even though he knew he wouldn't be getting a commission from me. He seemed really candid and his humor made me feel comfortable. In the end, he did offer me a quote and though I stuck with my friend's offer, Gatorland's offer was competitive which surprised me. All of the other employees I came in contact with were really helpful too. All in all, I was really impressed by how I was treated there and would recommend people at least check out this dealership.

My salesman, Buck Byard was genuinely interested in finding the right car for me and he made sure it was in my budget. 2012 Corola with only 15,000 miles! Sweet! Ryan Fisher, Sales Mgr., was just as wonderful. Jim Brannen, Finance, made me feel relaxed and comfortable with the deal. All of these men are true gentlemen. None of them pressured me. This is the 2nd vehicle I have purchased from Gatorland Toyota and Buck Byard. Both experiences have been great. I was looking for a particular Rav4 - had to be red - and when Buck saw one arriving at the dealership, he called me. After a little negotiating the monthly payment was want I wanted and the red Rav4 was in my garage that evening. Financing with Jesse was a very smooth process and I never felt pressured to buy the add-ons I didn't want or need. I have experienced nothing but friendly and outstanding customer service when I have been to Gatorland for service or to buy. Thanks again to Buck for finding me the vehicle the I wanted and to Gatorland Toyota for being such a great dealership!! I will definitely be back when I'm ready for an update - although that may be a few years because I love my new Rav4!!

We were in the market for a new van for our family. We were long time fans of our Chrysler Town & Country which we traded in on this purchase. Our research narrowed down to Honda & Toyota. We shopped multiple Honda & Toyota dealers and dealt with several sales people along the way, both good & bad. What brought us back to Gatorland Toyota was the outstanding sales person, Scott, whom was the 1st we shopped with at Toyota. His knowledge of the Sienna and the competition was far greater than anyone else we worked with and his non pushy style and humor made this the absolute best car buying experience we've ever had.

We went to Toyota to look at used Camrys. I was very specific about the price range I needed, the cars I was interested in etc. the salesman put me in a brand new Camry saying we could make the payments work. I asked him several times during the test drive if I was in my budget and what it would actually be per month, but he just kept saying "yup..." And would change the subject. When we got back he wanted to pull my credit ASAP even though I asked him to value my trade first. He tried giving me a b.s reason for pulling my credit and said it would not affect my score. I told him I knew it would drop at least three points and wanted to value my trade first. He kept pushing me to fill out a credit sheet until I got aggravated and told him I was not comfortable with his badgering and confirmed that the value of my trade was not obligation to buy, which seemed to change his tune bc he left to appraise it. When he got back he told me what my car was worth and that they could get me into the Camry for $150 over my budget! I was aggravated bc several times he told me it was in my budget. I asked him what used Camrys they had and he refused to show them. I asked about corolla and he said he had used but would only show me new ! We tried to leave then to go somewhere else and he would not give me my key. He kept pushing for me to take the Camry over budget and even called his boss over to try and "convince" me. My fiance lost it and demanded my key and told him we were not going back and we left. The next day, Mother's Day, which is a Sunday btw.... Jean called my cell. I politely explained that I was at a Sunday brunch and could not talk. I asked him to cal me the next day on my lunch. He interrupted me and told me he wanted me to take the Camry and they reduced it ten dollars. I explained my budget was firm and he started yelling at me! He told me I needed to come in and take that car bc I got myself into the situation bc I wanted that car. I told him I could not talk and had to go and he kept yelling. I got mad and told him that if he put people into vehicles they could afford he would probably do better off, career wise. He got louder and told me to go somewhere and find the car I want then. I told him as the sales rep he needed to do that and if he did he could call me but otherwise I was done with him. I called his manager back, whom of which did not seem surprised by his behavior, and then went to Santa Fe Ford and bought the same Camry in budget, $10,000 less and an extended warranty. Go to Santa Fe ford and ask for Ron! Amazing sales, customer service and overall experience is not like that of any other car lot

Don't buy a car here, they are very dishonest. In addition to very unpleasant sales people, we discovered after the purchase that they had made an "error" on our contract, to their advantage, of course. If we had known how sleazy this sales department is, we would not have gone there in the first place.

Scheduling was easy and online, check in was quick, courtesy drop off was prompt and efficient. There is only one thing I would recommend. You should offer to wash and detail the customers car. This doesn't have to be complementary service, but I would have taken advantage of it if it wasn't too pricey. Another service that I would pay for is an offer to bring my car back to me or pick it up for service. I would pay at least another $10-$15 for this type of service. Otherwise quality all the way around.Patrick

I would have to say that at first i wasn't looking forward to dealing with dealerships and sales people, i just wanted a new car but didn't want the hassle of a dealership. I had read some not so great reviews. I really wanted to buy a Buick Regal hybrid, however! the dealership i visited (here in gainesville) acted as though they were doing me a favor! i was not pleased with their customer service at all. So from that point on i began my search for another car, something that would last me for many years with fuel efficiency,a car that was a hybrid but luxurious enough for my needs. I was not in a hurry to buy initially, i started out with just doing my research and checking out prices. I was communicating with Brent via email at that time, it took me a few months to make up my mind and finally commit to a purchase. My experience from start to finish was AWESOME! I handled most of my communication via email, Brent was patient and not a pushy sales guy at all. Very professional, friendly. Paulette was also awesome, very friendly and helpful. I felt right at home with purchasing my 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. LOVE THE CAR!!!!!!! Very pleased with my purchase and i love the dealership, everyone was friendly, attentive, everyone that walked by me said hello, welcomed me. When i went in to finalize the purchase and pick up my car it went pretty fast. I would say i was in and out around an hour.I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a great quality car and get great 5 star treatment. I love Toyota, they are such well made cars and worth every penny. Easiest and hassel free car shopping experience EVER. My last 2 vehicles were a Honda & an Acura, so I never considered coming over to Toyota. Because of Kurt Fisher's complete understanding of what I was in the market for, down to the last technological detail & price range, he suggested I take a look at the 2012 Camry SE Limited Edition. Not only was it a great loooking car that drove excellent, both he and Ross Hawthorne did a wonderful job in breaking down the cost savings (mileage, lesser octane gas, etc) of owning this vehicle Vs another Acura and helping me to truly understand the pros & cons all around of both. I could have easily purchased the vehicle in Orlando where I live, but because of their level of professionalism & honesty from the start, I drove 2 hours north to be sure they were the only 2 I dealt with. When I arrived, they had already cherry-picked the appropriate vehicle and had it ready in the bay for me to look at. Ross took me around to show me the difference between the models to be certain, but the exact one they picked was the one I left with. I got a GREAT deal on my trade-in, even better deal on the car and the paperwork was quick and painless. After thoroughly shopping the internet, getting offers and visiting dealerships, Gatorland Toyota was the only one that could make a deal for me.Robert Gordon (Sales) was patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and understood my point of view as a purchaser perfectly. He spent all the time necessary with me until we found the right offer that fit all my needs - we looked at and analyzed the Prius C, V, Camry and the Corolla, over more than 3 hours! But what really differentiates Robert from other salesmen is that he shares the numbers with you and he does the numbers from your angle until they are right for you. He makes a deal happen for you. He is a great professional, NOT a pushy salesman! Rick Garcia (finance) went way out of the call of duty and beyond all expectations to get me the best financing possible. He lowered my monthly payment by looking at other alternative schemes that I personally qualified for, rather than having me sign the standard I agreed on with my salesperson. When somebody puts money back into your wallet, they are really taking care of you! Rick makes your day! He not only is a great professional but someone who takes the bother to care! I have now bought 3 Toyotas from Gatorland Toyota, but none of my previous experiences have been so noteworthy. I highly recommend Robert Gordon and Rick Garcia. They are both top professionals in their fields and they have proved to be absolutely trustworthy. I will definitely call upon them again without a doubt!

I just purchased the 2013 Prius V tonight. Worked with Buck since Thursday. Came in to look at the Scionand fell in love with the Prius V and after that, nothing else measured up. The price was more than i had thought of paying right now and a bit out of my comfort zone. Buck worked hard to make sure that I drove out of there in my dream car. He got my phome sychned with the car before I drove off. I was calling people on my way home telling them I was calling them from my new car. The color is Sea Glass Pearl, which is perfect, and a color I love. I recently remodell my kitchen with sea glass as the primary color. I had to have this car and Buck made sure I got it. Rick, the finance person was very nice, and i have to admit, an excellent salesman, but mt husband agreed that with the technology om this car, that it was a good idea to extend the warranty. I have owned two Toyota's before, my first 1974 Corolla with no A/C and on,y AM radio. The second was an 85 Toyata Landcruiser when I liv in Alaska. Togetherr I drove hem for 18 years, and the Landcruiser was still going strong when i sold it before I moved back to Florida. I have no doubt thst I will be happy with this car. i wanted the high tech features this car had to offer. Outstanding salesmanship. Very personable sales person. Buck got that sale for Toyota and he made me feel great about it.

I have driven Toyota cars for most of my life. My father has always bought "American" brand names and EVERYONE of them has been a maintenance nightmare. I always told Dad to go down and get a Toyota and all that would go away! He finally took my advice. They bought a beautiful, fully loaded Venza from Gatorland. He is thrilled with his purchase, and Gatorland has worked very hard to earn and keep his business. For instance, the smart car features were hard for my elderly parents to get used to. They had came in a couple times to the service department, but the technicians could not find any problems with the car. The last time they went in for this problem the GM, Tony Cutrone, took a personal interest in their issue. He had heard about their problem, and he actually came out to hear the issue that they were having for himself. He then put his two top service personnel on the problem. They took us out in the parking lot, and methodically got to the bottom of the problem. We found out that my mother was not turning the ignition off properly. Now that she know what to do she has not had a problem since. How great it is to have a dealership that treats you like family. My parents are happy, and really glad I suggested Gatorland.

I have owned my Highlander for 4 years and have 100,000 miles on the vehicle. I have used Gatorland Toyota Scion for all scheduled service maintenance and have never had a problem or been suggested to do something I felt uncomfortable with. The have all the records available and have notified me as to recalls on parts. They have reminded me more than once when the part has come in; but I have not (too busy or too sick to remember). I have not always had an appointment and am usually in and out in a reasonable amount time (as car service goes). I will continue to take my vehicle to Gatorland Toyota Scion and because my vehicle is in great shape plan on passing it down to my son when he is ready for his first vehicle (2 or 3 years down the road). I am that confident in the vehicle and the service of it. Finally, I know when I pull in if Gene is there he recognizes me and greets me with a smile and a comfortable how are you doing today. (Note: My rating is strictly for auto repairs and services - never bought a car from here)If I could give them a 0 I would. Almost every time I have taken my vehicle to Gatorland Toyota there has been an issue. Getting the service manager involved doesn't help much either. He doesn't ever return phonecalls or do what is promised. I waited WEEKS for him to get a chip to update the out-of-date navigation system they installed in my car. Might I add this was the second system change they had already done. I had to contact Regional Toyota to have my issues addressed. Thank you Kirby! Now that I no longer get free service I don't think I will ever take my car back. I took it once to get serviced and told them I wanted it washed. I was called and told my vehicle was ready and it was not washed. I was promised that the next time I brought it back the wash would be free. Not to my surprise the next time I took it back and even told the general manager I wanted it washed, it was not washed! They offered to run it through their "quick" wash, the cheap one which is not what I wanted. I was already late for work and so fed up that I said I'd take it somewhere else. The service manager told me not to kill anyone. Not ever going back to that mess! Unfortunately it is the only one near my home but I am willing to drive farther for good service!

I have always recieved good service at Gatorland. This time I was only there because my tire pressure light was on and it turned out I had a nail in a tire and required a patch. I'm not sure what system they use to send service reminders but a day or two after my 30k service I recieved a reminder that my 35k service was due. The service reminder shoud be updated after a major service.Also, the monthly calls at the end of the month, letters or both saying would i like a lower interest rate are very annoying. It is like a bait and switch scam since it isn't offering lower interest rate on my current vehicle but wanting to get me into a new vehicle. I have repeatedly asked to have my name removed from the phone and mailing list but the calls and letters keep coming to the point where I plan to report it. I have said I only want to hear anything regarding service. i have said that if and when I want to purchase a new Toyota that I will and have a specific salesman I will use. The monthly calls border on harassment,The service department is great but the monthly calls and letters trying to get me to buy a new car have to stop.Thank you.

Bryan was very courteous and helpful when we had our car serviced at Toyota. Although I called quite often, he was always very responsive and kept me up to date when parts would arrive and how soon it would take to get the car fixed. When a second family Toyota had problems, he was able to quickly get the car fixed knowing we already had a car in the shop. Not least, when he noticed that our car needed 4 new tires, he gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to replace without a hard sell. When I had a few unexpected few hours during my work hours, he was quick to answer my questions about which tires were best for the car, and then arranged to have the tires replaced the same day. Because of Bryan, I plan to bring my business back to Gatorland Toyota.

I had to bring my new car (less than 3400 miles) in because I had gotten a nail in one of my tires. Everything was great. Gene Hall (who I always ask for when I come in) was friendly, efficient, and made me feel like a valued customer. I noticed that the other Service Technicians were idle while customers asking for Gene were stacked up. I watched how he dealt with other customers and my opinion of him only got better. He insured I was kept aware of everything that was happening and the entire appointment took much less time than I had anticipated.

I took my 2005 Avalon in for service and when the repairs were done and I got my car back there were some issues. I went to Chris Sumerlin about the problem and she had an attitude right away, saying it was noted on the service report, but the BIG PROBLEM was she NEVER informed me of the problem. I then talked with the Service Manager- Robert Hurlbert and all he could do was to try and cover there lies and make the problem go away meaning ME! I will never recommend this DEALER for anything, they LIE and then they cover up there lies by trying to make it sound like the customer was WRONG!! This problem could have been handled much better if they would have just said they made a mistake and fixed the problem right away. Instead they avoid returning calls and trying to make this issue right with the customer- ME!!

Robert originally called us regarding the Toyota Loyalty Program. He wanted to know if we were interested in getting a new car for the same payment we were currently making, with no down payment and with a MUCH lower interest rate. We spoke with him off and on throughout the week and then finally paid him a visit. He was true to his word! We left the dealership with a beautiful, brand new Camry and we love it! I went to Gatorland Toyota to get a refinance on my Toyota Camry 2011 I had purchased almost a year before however, I did not qualify which was why I ended up trading in my car for the 2012 Toyota Camry SE. They gave me a better deal as I ended up with a way lower interest rate this time around. Customer service is always great they are very friendly and they do a good job in answering any questions you may have. The thing you have to be mindful of is the monthly payments you are told you will pay from the first set of financial advisers will change once you go in to speak to the financial adviser assigned to you. I was aware of this because this was my second time around buying a car from Toyota. This refers to financing with the dealer I cannot speak to anything else. The thing I didn't like this time around though was after leaving the dealer and settled on what my payments would be I was called back in at a later date and was told that due to the fact that one of the discounts that was previously offered to me was not applicable and so they had to re-look at my payments although they gave me an even lower interest rate this second time around my monthly payments went up and I am very unhappy about that because had I known this would happen I would not have purchased the car and hold on to the one I had.

I am a college student and was driving a motorcycle for convenience. I was able to trade in my bike with ease because of the amazing service I was given by Mr. Byard. I purchased a silver used 09 Toyota Corolla with excellent mileage and he was able to get the payments down low enough to what I can actually afford. Now I have major efficiency, I look and feel great driving MY car and the gas mileage is insignificantly different from the mileage I got from my motorcycle, which is GREAT. I will definitely be going back to Gatorland for all my maintenance needs and if I ever decide on getting a new car, I will be going here. I want to peronally commend Gatorland Toyota and expecially service employee Shad Buchanan. Our service department experience is via phone call.I called him this morning about our 2004 Toytoa Solara SLE Convertable which we purchased new from Gatorland Toyota in April 2004. We remain the original owners (we retired to Kingsland, GA in 2007) and have only 36,500 miles on this vehicle. We have never had a minutes trouble with this car, but yesterday when my husband was going to use this car on an errand, the car was "as dead as a doornail". Nothing....wouldn't start, no interior lights/chimes, nothing! After reviewing the owner's manual, checking battery connections, and trying alternative keys, we were at the point we needed some expertise. Hence, my phone call to the service department today. Shad answered the service department phone with a friendly voice and listened patiently to me regarding what we had already tried. Shad made the suggestion that we have the battery checked out. Based on what we told him, he felt like this could be the problem. I thanked him for his time and knowledge and told him we would give this a try. My husband and I removed the old battery, had it checked at a local auto parts store (IT WAS DEAD), then purchased and installed a replacement battery ourselves and are happy to report we are "up and running". I was so pleased with my experience this week at Gatorland Toyota I couldn't wait to write a review for them. I have been down on dealerships my entire life. This is the first time I have had multiple dealings with a service department and really walked away happy I went there. I am more excited then ever that I own a Toyota because I know where to take it and what to expect. It is like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The shuttle driver Jim made me feel like part of the family. He made leaving my car at the dealership a breeze. Leonard kept in contact with me and made sure everything was perfect. I am looking forward to my next visit to Gatorland Toyota!

AN UNETHICAL DEALERSHIP! AVOID! Toyota is a great make and has a great name behind it and this dealership tarnishes Toyota's name. Their knowledge of their own cars is limited to say the least, and their customer service is EXTREMELY POOR. After misinforming me of a car, and charging me for another model, I tried to work with the dealership in order to fix the transaction. I was brushed away and told that "This is a competitive business and that this was an unfortunate situation." After trying very hard to work with Gatorland, I went to the Better Business Bureau and went into arbitration. After six long months, the BBB awarded me with my favorable decision and is ordering Gatorland to compensate me accordingly. While this is great news for me, it makes me wonder how many other mistakes happen and how often they get away with unethical behavior. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! Tampa and Ocala also have Toyota dealerships and provide lower prices. Combine that with the unethical behavior and lack of knowledge, this place is awful!

Had been talking back and forth with the internet sales department. Made an offer on a new Corolla. After a few days and a few more emails back and forth, I got a reply that due to great sales this week, he would match the price in my original email "out the door". I called to speak to him personally and to verify that it was a final out the door price. He assured me that it was but that the offer was only good for that day. It was Christmas eve. So we drove into Gainesville to pick up my christmas present, test drove the exact car I was picking up. Verified again it was that final price. Went to sign papers and he raised the price $2000. Said his out the door price didn't include some of the fees. We left without a car. Thanks for wasting my time on Christmas eve.

I live in Jacksonville and I drove to Gainesville to buy a truck from Brent Biehl at Gatorland Toyota. Brent is absolutly the best car/truck salesman I have ever worked with (This is the second truck purchased through Brent in the past 12 months). He got me the vehicle I wanted in the colors I wanted and best of all at the price I wanted. I was in and out of the Dealership in under 2 hours. This was a great buying experience and without any preasure.

Mr. Byard was a great help in finding a new Camry. I came into the dealership with NO intentions of buying a brand new car, as I was looking to buy a used car, but after working with Ron, the finance department, and everyone else, I was assured that I could get into a brand new car for reasonable cost. Ron was very quick and helped so much; he even picked me up from work so that I can come complete the purchase! I feel bad for rushing so much since I had to get back to work, however I can assure you that everyone at Gatorland Toyota is completely honest and can help you in any situation if you are looking for a car. I love my brand new Camry with 8 miles on it! Unfortunately I will not be going back to Gatorland Toyota to purchase a new car anytime soon, but only because I am sure that my Camry will last me 20 years without a problem. :) Thanks everyone at Gatorland!

This was the best experience I've ever had for buying a used car! Usually you feel pressured by the dealer sales associate because they want to sell you a car no matter what. But this time, it was a very easy going experience. It was nice, comfortable, felt no pressure at all. I got an excellent deal, at a great price. Brent Biehl was fantastic. We had been to two different dealerships before coming to Gatorland Toyota and the people we had been working with at those dealerships would not listen to what we were wanting and kept trying to get us into vehicles we had already told them we couldn't afford. Brent talked to us straight and gave us exaclty what we wanted from the very beginning while being an overall nice and cheerful guy. He also got me a really great deal because I was a recent graduate. I got a brand new Corolla LE and I couldn't be happier.

Great dealer, easily entreated, no run around or back and forth with different managers. The manager was up front and explained everything even to the small details. This is the fourth car I have bought from Gatorland toyota and my last experience was the best yet. They were so nice and made it almost too easy to trade my Prius in for my new Camry. They seemed genuinely concerned with making sure I was happy with my experience at Toyota. Upgraded my car and kept the same payment! Couldn't be happier. The service department has always been wonderful too, added to the fact that I never have to make an appointment for my regular maintenance.

Sales staff is flat out dishonest and incredibly rude. I am surprised that a business would be so blatantly dishonest. Imagine the typical crooked car salesperson times ten.If I had know how dishonest this sales department was, I would not have gone there. Don't waste your time here unless you like being lied to, cheated, and having your time wasted. If you do end up buying something here, check your contract VERY carefully. Make sure they itemize all of the charges and ask what each one is for. Check their math (the added an amount that was supposed to be subtracted on my contract) and watch out for bogus fees. Get everything in writing. Be prepare for them to waste your time and behave like kids throwing tantrums.Check their ratings on other sites such as google.com.

My wife and I were in need of a new used car to better accommodate our two young children. We went to Gatorland Toyota and were very impressed with the used car selection and pricing. The facility was very clean and everyone was friendly. My wife and I didn't know exactly what kind of car we were looking for when we arrived. We worked with Tammie in the Internet Sales division and she was great! She helped us find the right car to fit our needs without feeling pressured or rushed even after many test drives. Once we found the car for us, we worked with Kurt Fisher, the sales manager. Kurt was very friendly and worked with us through both the pricing for the new car and on our trade. My wife and I felt that the whole process was hassle free and we walked away with a great car at a great price.

I purchased a vehicle from Gatorland Toyota. I was told the car was 100% and without a doubt the nicest in the country. The car was anything but. The tires were awful, to the point of unsafe. The staff AND the management were the absolute rudest people I have ever dealt with. Every aspect of Gatorland Toyota is horrible. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as you can. Trust me, myself (and from the looks of all the other bad reviews) and others have learned the hard way to stay away!

Dishonest sales department. Sales manager is rude and acts like a child, stomping off when he is unhappy with your offer. They pad their prices and sneak in extra fees in the paperwork. Make sure you go over your forms carefully and thoroughly before signing anything. I do not know what their service department is like, but because their sales department is so crooked, I will not be going back to them for service or sales again.

This dealership was fantastic to deal with. Found the truck I wanted through another dealer and Gatorland had it delivered (free of charge) up to Gainesville. The whole process was easy and smooth. There were issues, but promptly and properly taken care of at no charge, this to me is how you get it right. The financing was easy, and we really were given a great rate. Their service department is fantastic and prompt, but if you have to wait their waiting room is top notch. I am a Ford man, my wife loves her Toyota, but we both agree this dealer is great, and is how it should be done.

Both my cars had been purchased in South Florida but I wanted to be sure to get great service here in Gainesville to keep my car in great condition. Gene Hall has assisted with getting my maintenance done the majority of times and is always quick, helpful, and friendly. My husband and I had been car shopping for several months and had several bad dealership experiences, even some at Gatorland Toyota of Gainesville. There were a few salesmen that were rather rude and were more about getting the money out of us rather than trying to honestly help us find a great car for a great price, hence the "good" ratings in areas. We didn't give up and we thought we'd try Gatorland Toyota one more time and luckily we were greeted by Ron, or Buck as he goes by, and he turned the entire experience around from negative and overwhelming to enjoyable and even exciting. He was about getting us into a car to test drive it immediately, not about the numbers or financing. He listened to us and was just honest with us, a decent human being and not just a sales guys with schemes and smooth words. Buck made us want to buy a car from Gatorland Toyota, and he will be the reason why we would come back again. Leonard is a wonderful person to deal with. As a single woman, I am used to being "ripped off" by car mechanics and service people in general. However, with Leonard I never worry that my car isn't going to be taken care of properly, or that I will be over charged. I own a Dodge Neon; however, when Leonard left Gainesville Dodge to go to Toyota, I followed him there. That's how great I think he is.All the people at Gatorland Toyota are just tops in my book!

I'm bought my car in Tampa, but I reside in Gainesville. I went to service my car at Gatorland Toyota and received top quality service. The employees were friendly and helpful. The waiting station had wifi, wonderful seats, decor and everything. One employee that stood out the most to me was Leonard Di Tomaso. In working with Leonard, I could tell he was sincere about his job and really wanted to help me. When I got there, there was a little issue with the service book for my car and Leonard took care of it promptly and respectfully. He was courteous, genuine, and really made my experience worth it. He really made my day with the wonderful service.

I was in a for a 10,000 mile checkup, decided to catch the van (with Jim) (he's awesome) to work thinking they would have my car for a while. I bought my Tundra from a Jacksonville, FL dealership and after getting home I noticed a pool of oil below my truck. I went to Gatorland Toyota the next morning since it was on my way into work and drove into the service bay. Joe was able to help me and get me back out on the road and to my family. He made a terrible experience turn out to be alright and left a promising impression on me. I continue to return to Gatorland Toyota and always deal with Joe. He is honest, trustworthy and professional. I trust him with my truck and the safety of my family.

My wife and I visited gatorland to buy a prius. We were greeted by a salesman named Clay. From the very first word that came out of his mouth til the time we left he was a pompass smug individual. I cannot believe that someone would let him interact with a potential customer. He (clay) treated us like we were stupid and when we had enough of it and told him we are leaving he started hollering at us - screraming that we wasted his time! My wife, at this time, was actually scared and feared for her safety. I had to calm her down so she wouldn't call 911.

Beware this dealership. I negotiated a price for a car there and received a document listing the sales price and what the sales person said would be the full amount after taxes and fees. I gave them a check for the full amount as a deposit and made an appointment to finalize the paperwork and pick up the car the next day.Despite the appointment, they made me wait three hours the next day before the accountant was "unavailable". During those three hours, I and one other customer appeared to be the only customers in the store, and the accountant sat alone at his desk the entire time I was waiting.When they finally gave me the paperwork, I found that their "estimate" from the night before was too high. They padded their estimate of the out-the-door amount from the night before and then increased the sale price of the car in the actual paperwork. The sale price of the car that was listed on the paperwork was higher than the price that we had agreed on the night before, and there was that typical crooked dealership addition of a mysterious "Electronic Filing Fee". Because I caught their "error" before signing anything, they recalculated based on the original price. They would not remove their precious "Electronic Filing Fee" though. (I recommend going to the dealership in Deland. They quoted exact amounts of all taxes and fees by email and were very straightforward with their offer. Unfortunately they did not have the vehicle I wanted so I could not purchase through them.)After the sale was over and I had the car at home, I discovered that in addition, the paperwork from the first night had a subtraction "error" that increased the negotiated price by $10 in their favor. (I know the "mistake" was intentional, but let's say we give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was a mistake: If a dealership is so stupid that they cannot even perform simple addition and subtraction, that's pretty bad.)In total, Gatorland's deception resulted in my paying them $70 more than I would have paid had they not been deceptive. It really is rather pathetic that they feel this is a good way to do business. They are loosing way more than $70 in any service and future sales that they might have gotten from me had they just been honest.If you must go to this dealership, avoid the sales person named Sarah, bring a calculator, and go thru the paperwork with a fine tooth comb.

Looked at a bunch of cars, place is clean, nice looking big dealership. Negotiated a price on a car that they assured me they could not go down any further because they would "lose their dealer license." I said give it to me in writing and I will sleep on it.I was all prepared to buy the car the next day until Tammy called me back and said "she wanted to be totally clear." The price on the car did not include "dealer fees," which was $699.The entire time I *was* clear - I wanted the bottom line price on a car, I didnt not want surprise additions at the end of the process like this. Apparently Gatorland Toyota doesn't understand this, or they do understand and think they can just force people to pay an additional $700 on cars after they say "bottom line price."I would not recommend them at all. Why waste your time when you know that the dealer will try to screw you at the end.

This is a dealership should be avoided. I did purchase a vehicle here in 2002. In my opinion, parting you from your money is their number one priority. Every thing else is just for show. From their bogus game prizes to their fine print stipulations, this dealership comes off as being very slippery indeed. I will be purchasing a new Toyota this year, but it will not be from this dealership.

It is a long story but I will it boil down to this: The salesman and I agreed on a price that would include dealer fees. I put a deposit down on the vehicle. I was told I would have the vehicle in 2 days. It arrived two weeks later. When I saw a charge on the bill and asked what it was for, I was told it was for "title fees." After reviewing the paperwork at home, I found fine print which actually described the fee as typical dealer fees. There was even an additional line for title fees. When I called them to point out the mistake and that they owed me the money, they went from friendly to nasty in a heartbeat. I was told that I signed the paperwork and that was that. I explained to them that I had asked a question about the charge and that they misrepresented the charge at the time of the sale. They could have cared less. As long as I signed the paperwork, it was done. The customer service rep said she would talk to the owner about it and get back to me. She never did. One employee even hung up on me. I would never want any of my friends or family members to deal with that group of people.
