They advertised the vehicle I wanted online for 17k. By the time i had test drove it and spent 4 hours, YES 4 HOURS in there, they told me that the 17k price was with EVERY promotion and that I qualified for none so the vehicle was really 31k. At this point I decided to go to the next step. The salesman called to find out the lease pay off on my vehicle I wanted to get rid of and he told me the pay off would be $1000 and that they would give me the $1000 to pay it off and ensured me that I'd get no bill afterwards. The salesman and manager gave me a bad vibe, so after spending a total of 6.5 hours there I decided to call my lease company just to make sure. Well the lease company told me that my pay off was $2000 and that I would have received a bill of $1000 in the mail after I had bought my new car from them because they blatantly lied to me. I called the dealer back and asked him why he lied and he stated "oh, I must have misheard them". Then proceeded to say he could just add the extra $1000 to the price of the car. Needless to say, they are extremely dishonest and I wouldn't recommend that place to my worst enemy.

Bought a brand new vehicle from them in 2014 (Jeep Trailhawk) had continued problems with the sunroof and transmission where it was brought back 7-10 times for the same issue. Also purchased their maintenance contract, and found out later on that I was charged for oil changes and tire rotations when it should have been free. After there was nothing they could do for me with the transmission and I feared for my safety as the car would randomly hesitate when trying to accelerate and then jolt out. They claim this was a normal feature with the 9-speed transmissions. I decided to trade in the 2014 and buy another 2016 Trailhawk as other than the transmission issue I loved my car. I took a hit on a vehicle that I should not have had to trade in as I thought I would own it for a long time. Picked up my brand new 347 mile car and proceeded to drive it home. There was something wrong with the brakes. They tell me it sat too long at the dealership and the roaders needed to be replaced. Brought it in the next morning and while it was there they ran updates and fried the radio. This is all items that should have been taken care of before they gave me my new car. Met with the owner, COO and Manager who indicated they knew they did wrong by me but really were not interested in compensating me. I decided not to keep the 2016 Trailhawk as I knew that I would have continued issues with Gengras. who obviously do not care. Very mismanaged dealership which would explain the lack of communication between departments.

For repair.They also damaged my interiorand exterior. They also denied the damage. Don't buy a vehicle from them.They argue with you and damage your vehicle.

This service department is horrible. I have 1300 miles on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited I purchased from them. The vehicle had a noise when the front tops were removed. My first attempt to get this looked at entailed a 20 minute phone call in which I had been transferred 5 times just trying to make an appointment. I gave up at that point in trying to get the issue resolved. My other half convinced me to give them another shot. So this time I called explained my difficulties in making my last appointment, they gave me an appointment for the date I requested. I brought the vehicle and the day had potential for rain in the forecast. In all actuality the vehicle was brought in at 8 am and it did not rain until 2:45 that day( I live 3 miles from the dealership). At the time I dropped off the vehicle the service advisor basically made me feel dumb for bringing my vehicle in by saying " you know its going to rain all day today." Basically why the xxxx are you here. The key is they had the vehicle for 6 hours before it even sprinkled. They called that afternoon and said they needed the vehicle for another day. The next day it rained in the early AM but the forecast called for less than 15% chance of rain the remainder of the day. They called and said its going to rain all day and they could repair the vehicle. I asked them to make sure the vehicle would be ready to be picked up and I would be down to get it. Upon picking up the vehicle the interior white roof is covered with greasy hand prints...oh and it didn't rain all day for the second day......Horrible service will never return!

Bought a 2016 dodge caravan, 2000 miles the speedo doesn't work, brought it in for service told I could wait but decided to go to work. Waited from 715 until 12 no call, called service was told I could pick up anytime. Got to dealer told I needed new instrument cluster would have to order. Made appt to bring in for repair told maybe an hour or so to repair. Waited 45 minutes to drop off couldn't find vehicle in computer. 5 hrs later no call so I call them put on hold for 10 min, was told someone would have to call me back. They call me back tell me my whole dash is out and will be at least another hour told him I was dissatisfied With service and got a uninterested will call when done response. Would not recommend

After speaking to several friends, I knew exactly where I needed to go to purchase my new vehicle. Unfortunately....my friends are somewhat confused, and I learned that dealership they recommended closed several years ago. Well, onward and upward, I and found myself arriving at Gengras Chrysler Dodge in Hartford. I was immediately greeted in a non-aggressive way, and introduced to Shannon. Unlike many sales people I've had dealings with over my many years, Shannon was more interested in finding the vehicle that interested me, instead of pushing a vehicle she wanted to sell. Shannon's easy going attitude, sense of humor, and willingness to learn about her client's wants and needs are an outstanding reflection of not only her positive attitude, but the Gengras family overall. It's been said that "Patience is the companion of wisdom." In dealing with Shannon, I found both. My wife and I came in for a used vehicle, and we were taken seriously and treated with respect. Peter took his time with us and answered all of our questions. I could not be happier with my purchase of a CPO 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Chris was awesome to work with throughout the experience. I made an appointment to test drive a car I was interested in, and by the time I got there less than 2 days later, the car had been sold. I understand car sales are first-come, first-serve, but the night prior to my appointment I received an email from Gengras about the car's Kelley Blue Book report, so I never thought the car wouldn't be available the next morning. It would have been nice for someone to call or email me to let me know the car I had made an appointment to test drive was no longer available. Complete waste of time and very disappointing. In addition, when I walked in the entire staff was huddled around the front desk and no one bothered to greet me. Not sure what's going on with the customer service here, but this experience was a total turnoff and I'll no longer consider working with this dealership.

We came into this dealership not sure if we wanted to lease or buy. We sat down with Matthew and he went over the pros and cons of both. He listened to what we were looking for and the price point we wanted to stay in, and he suggested we look at a different model that we hadn't considered. After our initial meeting we went home, looked through the inventory online and made another appointment to go for test drives. We ended up with a great car that's perfect for us and within the price point we wanted to stay in. Even after we negotiated price (which we were happy with)and figured the deal was the deal, Matthew called me the next day telling me he had found us even more discounts!! BONUS!! Wanted to trade in my old car & get into a 4x4 before the snow started. Stopped in for a test drive, liked it, took my car back in to get appraised & went for a second test drive, and then stopped back in the next day to fill out paperwork & take delivery. Brought in Jeep for a small issue (key getting stuck in lock). Customer Service Advisor (Mike) extremely poor in response, pushed a repair that cost 3X what a local non-OEM mechanic charged me. His attitude was very shady in my opinion with no sense of empathy for obviously calling me back 5-6 hours after he could have called (I needed to call the dealership multiple times and escalate to finally get a call back). BTW, I scheduled my car to come in first thing in the morning so that it could be addressed in a timely fashion as I need it for work. I got that call back after all the mechanics left for the day. When I asked why the small fix would cost over $1000 and need 3 days for a part to come in, Mike told me the mechanic left for the day and he could not answer the question himself. I told them I would be taking the care elsewhere.Final icing on the cake: When I picked the car up, they left all the wiring undone. I needed to clean up the work they started (in the dark outside their lot at 8PM).Sent a much more detailed letter to the GM (Evan Newmark) and never received a response. I will never take my Jeep to this dealer again and suggest you do the same.

I hated the car buying process until I met with Chris Hansen at Gengras. Unlike other dealerships I went to, Chris was friendly and genuine. He took the time to form a relationship with my boyfriend and I, which I really valued during this process. He talked to my boyfriend about sports which was all it took to get him hooked! Another reason I liked Chris was that he explained everything thoroughly as we were going through the process. He knew it was my first new car buying experience and took that to heart. I know it sounds crazy that someone had a wonderful buying experience at a car dealer, but we did. It is always an arduous task to buy a car; one that I quite frankly dread for months in advance. However, Chris Hansen was professional, personable and genuine. We told him our parameters and he found exactly what we were looking for, no haggling or BS. I would return in a minute and I recommend him highly. As a matter of fact everyone we encountered from our initial phone call through signing the papers was pleasurable. Once the salesman makes a sale, he won't return your call.I had ordered a backup camera from sales dept when I purchased the vehicle new. Salesman would not call me back to arrange for it's installation. I left messages for him for 3 straight days. And I know he was working those days. As soon as I asked for the sales manager, the salesman came to the phone.Scheduled with the service dept the installation of backup camera. Had an appt on a Wednesday morning at 9am. Was told will be ready in 4hrs. Received a call at 3pm stating the car was not going to be serviced that day. They actually told me that there were 20 cars ahead of me that were still left over from Monday. Installation was finally completed by Friday. However, I had to make multiple phone calls daily and even speak to the manager to get it accomplished.They also lost my license plates within the dealership for 2 days. Their service dept is extremely busy and they have a skeleton crew working.My car came with 2 yrs of free oil changes and free car washes. I don't know if I will be going back there. I will gladly pay more just to be treated with a little respect.

On Thursday, September 3, I brought my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee to CDJ for recalls. One of the recalls was to replace the rotors. When I picked up the car, there was a thumping noise and pulsation when applying the brakes and a horrible order was coming from the vehicle. I called immediately to let the service department know there was a problem. I was told to bring it back the next day.I brought it back the next day and was told it wasn't a rotor problem but something to do with the hubs. To fix the problem, it would cost $1800. They replaced the rotors and the same noise and smell were still there. When I brought the vehicle in, there were no problems at all. I find it hard to believe that once I take it for service, there is a problem and it will cost $1800 for the repairs. Again, there were no issues prior to me taking the vehicle in. I have to wonder if someone made a mistake with the repair.While the vehicle was at CDJ for the recalls, the shifter was replaced due to one of the recalls. Now the lights don't illuminate so that you can see what gear the car is in.So, to sum it up, I now need to make a 3rd appointment to get the shifter light fixed. I am very unhappy with CDJ. I own a Chevy which I bought from the Chevy store and have never had this kind of problem. Regarding the shuttle - I had a horrible experience. I told 3 people at CDJ that I would need a ride to and from work. Someone forgot and it took an hour to pick me up. I understand that it is not my personal shuttle, however I should have been told it would take that long. Again, never have I had this problem at Chevy. The shuttle drivers were always prompt. The shuttle driver would have you complete a form with your name, address, and time you would like to be picked up. This did not happen at CDJ. CDJ could learn a lot from the Chevy store.When I had to bring the vehicle back on Friday, I had to take a 1/2 day off from work because of the unreliable shuttle experience. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. It is very inconvenient to have to bring the vehicle back an additional 2 times.I will bring back the jeep for you to fix the light on the shifter so that it illuminates. Other than than, I will have the vehicle serviced elsewhere. If someone happens to ask my opinion about CDJ, it will not be favorable.

For starters, the buying process was super easy. Corey was great and not pushy, I left there with the car and very impressed at how easy and smooth it was.. then it just went down hill. I bought a 2010 Kia Forte and noticed when I got home that the Bluetooth features did not work, as well as the USB port and the AUX port and steering wheel controls. I drove all the way back down to the dealership from Western Mass and spoke with Corey. He set me up to come down that following Friday to have the service take a look at it. I took the day off to get it taken care of and when I got down there, no one had a clue and Corey wasn't there. The service department was really busy but they were great and did what they could. After finding out they couldn't fix it, they sent me next door to see the KIA dealership, who confirmed I needed a new radio. KIA was going to confirm with Gengras that they could order a new radio at no cost to me and then someone would follow up with me. In the meantime, my car wouldn't pass inspection because a fog light was out. I went back down to the dealership, they fixed it and still nothing had been done about my radio. Seth (one of the other service advisors) said he would look into it and if I didn't hear from them to follow up with them in about 5 days. I waited over a week and heard nothing so I called and STILL nothing had been done and there were no managers there to authorize it.I'm still waiting. I haven't heard from anyone and am very fed up with this dealership. Also, on the way back from having them fix my fog light, my hood wasn't properly latched, thank god for safety latches.I would never recommend this dealership to anyone, not even my enemies and as soon as they fix my radio, I will never go back.

They sold me Resistall for $499 and never put it on the vehicle not told me a product needed to be applied. Ask for a refund and two weeks later no refund. If they need to operate like this to make money find another dealership.

Absolute nightmare. Long story short my 2014 Jeep GC Overland ended up being bought back by Chrysler because the brakes failed. It lived in the shop. I finally refused to take it back. Evan was great at first once I flat out refused to take the Jeep back. 3 months later, Chrysler replaced my leased jeep with a new 2014 Jeep GC Overland after my brother's Jeeps brakes failed (same model and year - different dealership). After my jeep was replaced I was told the old jeep would be going to the headquarters "for research". Yeah, the head of buyback at Chrysler called me to inform me that my jeep was completely fine and fixed.oops. So my brother was currently in the process of trying to get his leased jeep replaced and Kevin from Chrysler buyback assured that my brothers' jeep would also be bought back. Yeah, nobody will call me back from Gengras, can't get ahold of Chrysler buyback guy Kevin and I was lied too. I can't wait til this lease is over.my brother ended up bringing his back to his dealership and getting a Ford Explorer because Chrysler wouldn't help him and didn't care. I'm so disgusted with this situation.if I hadn't fought in the beginning I would have gotten no where. This is dangerous and I hope that nobody gets hurt with these failed brakes in those jeeps.but Chrysler doesn't seem to care.which is why I can't get a call back I guess. This is my 4th Jeep lease - always a great experienceuntil now at Gengras. NEVER AGAIN. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.AND JUST PLAIN RUDE. I'm completely disgusted. Oh and my new jeep has 8000 miles on it.yeah it is vibrating on highway. And no they won't give me a loaner and I'd honestly rather pay and take it to a different dealer. I will never ever go back here again. Flat out disgusted. Worst part is its a $700 a month lease.can't wait til its over. 15 more months.. Nothing worse than dishonesty.don't go here!!!!!

I have had many bad experiences with dealerships. But none come close to my experience with Gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep starting with the second I walked out the door with my new car.I took delivery of a Dodge Charger last Friday. The initial sales experience wasn't too terrible except they told me they would be ready for me at 10am and were not ready for me at 11:30am. I could let that slide.However on the way home is when things started to go wrong. First, the car overheated while stopped at a red light. I pulled over and sat for a hour, and finally tried to drive somewhere I could use a phone and found the car was running at normal operating temperatures as I kept it moving.I brought it into a local dealer, as it's certified and thus under warranty, and Gengras has not updated my information with Chrysler's system yet so it's not recognized as a certified & warrantied vehicle. I have been trying to get in touch with someone. All service has told me is to drive it back there and -- I'm not driving a car that may overheat if stopped in traffic that far, especially when there's all sorts of construction going on and I don't know how to get around it. They would not pay for a tow. And nobody in sales or management answers their phones or returns my calls. I asked to speak with Kyle, my salesperson and was informed that he was let go. I asked to speak to Kameron, and he never answers his phone or calls me back. He "attempted" to call me back one time, which was was made to my home number, when I clearly specified in my message that I would be available at my work number which I provided, AND my girlfriend who was home gave to them as well. I never got a call at work after that. Blatant blow off right there.I finally got ahold of someone at 1pm yesterday (Wednesday) after being on hold around 35 minutes. They told me my registration may have possibly been done (I have 7 days in Massachusetts to get the car inspected, for which I need the registration), and my information was definitely not updated with Chrysler and they would call me back at 4pm. Never received a phone call, so I had my girlfriend call. They told her that my information was updated yesterday. So who's lying?Jasmine, the girl who answers the phone should be the first to go. I call and explain my situation and she places me on hold for 10-15 minutes at a time, and then picks up the phone as if it was a new call, and I explain I've been on hold and then puts me back on hold, figuring I would eventually hang up and spare her some work. If I ever pulled the same thing, I would be looking for a new job. This has been by far the worst customer service I have experienced in my life by far from a car dealer or anywhere else.It is now day 6, and someone has yet to call me back.Finally, the clamp on the thermostat hose had been replaced, so they clearly knew there was a problem and they didn't even fix it correctly. The problem is the fans sometimes work, and sometimes they shut down when they're supposed to be running.I now have a car that I can't drive in the city, through construction, or unfamiliar roads that I do not know where to go to avoid stopping. And it appears I may be paying out of a pocket it fix a problem that they clearly found and failed to fix properly.I will be contacting Chrysler corporate, the BBB and if I do not receive a call and my registration in the mail by the end of the day so I can get it inspected tomorrow (on the 7th day), I will be contacting lawyers as well.

Mike Keeman 2 email requests over past 2 weeks asking for an explanation. They both have chosen to not respond. They have made it clear that customer service is not important. Wish this was my only negative experience with them.

Thanks you Gengras for my beautiful new JEEP :)! Corey Jimenez was awesome! He never was pushy or opinionated Like some sales people can be. He literally spent all day with me testing out different Jeeps in different colors with different features. I was very undecided when I arrived at the dealership at 11:30 am. He answered every question and addressed all my concerns. He never even got a lunch or break and still worked diligently to make me happy! Finally I made my decision! I picked a jeep that was out of my price range :( Corey made it all work out for me and now I am cruising in Jeep! I would recommend this Dealership to anyone!

For starters, don't go here. I went looking to lease a new vehicle. The sales staff will throw price quotes at you to get you interested then call you back 2 hours later to correct themselves with a price DOUBLE what they said earlier. That's right, double!! Not even close. More importantly though, if you don't end up buying from them, not only will they bother you for weeks with calls and emails, they give out your email address and you can expect to receive HUNDREDS of spam emails. I am certain it was they who were responsible for this. So if you do go, provide a false email.

You could not ask for more. Friendly, attention to detail, and no bologna. My wife and I researched and test drove over 18 different models and makes of new cars. 2014 was a good year as the new roll-outs were both staggering and impressive. However, only one Dodge, the Charger R/T (loaded and beautiful). As it turned out, it wasn't much of a contest after the test drive. It wasn't the last look but it ended up being the last stop. We spoke and met with Chas for days and after the hands were shook we through in a little Jim too. It was my wife's first new car and the greatest experience of her life. For me, it was long and complex but for all the right reasons. Every part of the negotiations was pleasant and almost a joy. Nothing was cookie cutter or rehearsed, if you will. From Chas to Management... everyone was professional, attentive, and flexible. I really felt like connections were made. I have purchased a fair amount of cars in my years and I have to say that after this experience that I may never car shop anywhere else going forward. I really feel that the Gengras team was more than prepared and willing to understand my family's needs, wants, and goals. Chas especially, was very diligent in getting to know us and make the whole process as beneficial for us as I'm sure it was for the dealership. I have never seen his like in sales, ever. Chas is the salesman for the everyman and is unmatched in people skills. I kid you not that if you purchase a vehicle from Chas and Gengras, when you get home, you will not just have a vehicle that fits you, your needs, and your heart... you may also find that your circle of friends grew by a very thoughtful and charismatic Gengras salesman named Chas Miller.

I put a deposit on a car deal on Friday pending approval by the bank and my acceptance of their terms. I ended up buying two cars from another dealer on Saturday. I called Gengras and told them I would not be moving forward with them and to please send my $500 deposit back to me. Instead, THEY DEPOSITED THE CHECK ON MONDAY! I called them today because I saw the money come out of my account. They are making me jump through hoops to get my money back. THEY ARE THIEVES!!!! IF YOU LIVE IN CONNECTICUT AVOID GENGRAS AUTO AT ALL COSTS!!

I was at Gengras on Saturday, January 25, 2014 and purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee from Bruce Fisher. It was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Bruce was wonderful! I was very nervous going in as my credit score took a bad hit due to some bad life choices and I was a little embarrassed about it. But after meeting with Bruce and Blake Riley, they put my mind at ease and treated me with the utmost respect and dignity and got me in a better vehicle than I thought I could get into. Absolutely terrible service department. Just got truck "certified", to find out oil never changed and defective transmission. Truck went in for oil change and I asked to look into noise in truck.... Truck sat for three days... No paperwork even filed to repair and oil never changed. Also no loaner truck. Had to call repeatedly for info (which there was none) huge service area with nobody in there. Just looks like it's a big efficient service department. I took my truck elsewhere. Never been so frustrated / stay away

My girlfriend purchased a car from Gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in December of 2012. Before that, she was in a car accident that totaled her car and we needed to find her a car quickly. We found a 2006 Honda Civic LX that was listed at the dealership, and I went on December 1st to check out the car and take it for a test drive (my girlfriend was not with me at the time as she lives in Stamford). Jim Vincek was the sales representative that was taking care of me and everything regarding the test drive went very smoothly. There were some concerns with the battery (car did not initially start, had to be jumped) and the rear tires (were essentially bald but was told that they were of legal tread depth). After the test drive, I asked if there were any other issues with the car, which was a concern because of the high mileage (over 100,000 miles). Jim was kind enough to show me the internal inspection report for the car. My main concerns with the inspection report were the "FRONT BRAKE JOB" and "DRIVE BELT" (since there was already an agreement to replace the battery, rear tires, and perform an alignment), and asked Jim to clarify what this meant. I was then introduced to Kamran Kafi, the Pre-Owned Manager. Regarding the "DRIVE BELT", I was informed that this was the accessory belt that was only a $15 part and I should not be worried about it. With regards to the "FRONT BRAKE JOB", Kamran had informed me that this meant the brake pad thickness was low, but we should still be able to get 5,000 - 10,000 miles depending on the type of driving. At that point I was satisfied with the test drive and the inspection report, and we called later in the date to put a deposit on the vehicle.We took delivery of the vehicle on December 15th and again, everything went very smoothly. Jim greeted us when we came in, and even managed to find a spare valet key that was not available when I initially took the test drive. He showed us that the car had been very well cleaned and detailed, and battery and rear tires had been replaced as promised. With all the paperwork, we were in and out within 30 minutes. Kamran had even stopped by just to say hello before we left. Up to this point, we were very happy with the service we had received when buying this car.The day after we picked up the car (December 16th), we noticed that there was a very loud, high pitched squealing noise which only occurred when the car was put into reverse... a noise that was not present when I took the car for a test drive. At first I thought this was just the reverse gear, but it sounded more like metal on metal contact. Aside from this, the car drove normally, so we initially didn't pay much attention. However, every single time we put the car in reverse, it made the same noise, so we knew there was an issue. Since it was Sunday and the dealership was closed, we could not bring the car back in to be inspected. Additionally, since my girlfriend lives Stamford, we were not able to bring the car in on Monday since he had to drive back Sunday night to prepare for the upcoming work week. As she drove the car back and forth to work that week, she continued to notice the high pitched squealing noise when the car was put into reverse, but also a squealing noise when applying the brakes on the highway. Concerned that the brake pads may fail, we decided not to bring the car back to Gengras to be inspected but instead had the front brake pads replaced in Stamford. When we replaced the brake pads, the squealing noises were no longer present. Upon further inspection of the brake pads, I found that the inner pads on both driver and passenger side were down to 1mm, and the pads themselves were not evenly worn. I did some research and the factory serviceable limit for the front brake pads is 1.6mm.Our main issue is that we were sold a car that had defective brake pads even though we were told that the pads still had 5,000 - 10,000 miles of life left on them. This was also an item on the inspection report that I specifically expressed my concerns about, and wanted to make sure the pads were OK before my girlfriend drove back to Stamford. We were given a limited used car warranty which I'm sure if we had brought the car back, the brake pads would have been taken care of with no issues... the problem is that Stamford is 80 miles away from East Hartford so it is not exactly convenient to just drop the car off. Aside from that, I did not want my girlfriend driving back 80 miles on brakes that could have potentially failed.The fact that the decision was made to sell the car with defective brake pads is a major issue, even when the internal inspection recommended that they be changed. Additionally, we feel that we were deceived when we were told that the pads still had 5,000 - 10,000 miles of life remaining, when clearly they did not. "Service grade" replacement front pads for a 2006 Honda Civic LX cost around $20. For a dealership to ignore its own inspection report and sell a customer a used car with brake pads that were below the serviceable limit is completely unacceptable. I advise anyone who is looking to purchase a used car from Gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to be very aware.

I went in to look at the new Fiat 500 and had Kiera the salesperson assist me. She explained everything about the vehicle and took her time showing me all the features. The best thing about Kiera is that not only is she knowledgeable about the Fiat line, she was'nt pushing me into anything like alot of car sales people do. I was very impressed that she let me see and take in everything first. Her personality was great and would recommend her in a heart beat. Matt Sauer was nothing but professional and got the financing approved in 5 minutes and apprsaised my trade in at a fair price that we both agrreed on. I researched a used Jeep Cherokee online and Gengras had one that fit what I looking for. I set up an appointment online which was was quick and easy. They even designated a salesman to me based on my online request. This is where it went downhill. My salesman Lance Williams, was more of a consultant than a salesman. Lance escorted me to the vehicle he "thought" was the one I wished to see, and questioned whether he was correct or not. This is after a lengthy online questionnaire and speaking with a woman with the dealership approximately 1.5 hours prior. After this he was unable and answer any question I had regarding this vehicle (i.e. Where it was driven? Prior Accidents? Etc) I inquired about minor damage I noticed and I was provided a carfax report. Lance stated the carfax report provided all accidents the vehicle was ever involved in, and assured that this was the truth. Lance is unable to determine this because carfax is only reported by someone who fixes their vehicle via an insurance claim. I had decided to buy this vehicle prior to being turned off by Lance anyhow and stuck with my decision. When I sat down with Lance to talk about the price he immediately got up and got his manager. Lance said he could not or would not negotiate and that was it(I bought a 2008 Cherokee with 70,000 miles.) The manager came in and obviously there was some negotiation but he was much smoother and clearly did not trust Lance. After finally deciding with manager on a decent price, Lance came back in to the picture. This time just to pass me off to the finance department and give me the run around about the service department to waste time. This being after I told him I would never return to Gengras because of the distance from my house. After all was said and done Lance walked me out to my new(used) vehicle and promised to send me a spare key. He also requested I come to this website and give an honest review of my experience. Anything less than a 10 is unsatisfactory and will be counted against him. Due to the small amount of time I actually dealt with Lance during this process and how negative it was, I decided to wait and see if he could do the one thing he promised. A Spare key was the only thing I requested once I left. I received a voice mail from Lance approximately 1.5 months later asking how my experience was, etc. After three failed call attempts to speak with Lance and no call back from Gengras once so ever. Here is my review Lance. I still intend on calling a manager and obtaining a spare key which was promised to me in writing.

My experience with Gengras started very rocky, however working with Rhinda absolutely turned my experience right around. She was wonderful to work with - she should be getting some kind of commission towards at least my sale for that day. She completely made sure I had everything I need and assured me that I shouldn't be nervous. She told me exactly what I would need coming into the dealership, set me up with an appointment with the Finance Mgr, and followed up with me every step of the way. Joe gave me way more than fair trade value on the vehicle I was trading in. He also made the paper work side of it painless, and did not push to sell the extra add ons, (warranties). I don't understand how somebody with bad attitude and poor customer service skills can be sales. You should always be positive with your customer. I watched and listened to this Jim try to build me factory order car. Jim's demeanor and tone were negative and rude. Now I was dealing with another dealership while I was in the showroom and I know that is rude, but I'm trying to the best deal. I watch Jim during his sales presentation and I was less than impressed. While we were creating a factory build car I witnessed a simple role of the eyes to answer I gave him to question he had asked me. STOP RIGHT THERE. I had enough and without seeing his final number I walked out. Maybe he was having a bad day or not enough coffee, I don't know, but sales are not just about numbers it is also about customer service and a positive buying experience and with those This is why I'm writing this.

I was looking for a new car for one reason...comfort. I am 29 years old and have had two back surgeries in the past year and a half. The car I now previously owned was becoming to painful to get in/out of and drive. I knew the possibility of finding a new car that I could afford and was comfortable was slim but worth a shot. When I say Albie (Al) was my car angel...I mean it! He understood my situation and was so accommodating that it brought me to tears. He would move the seat before I got in, wait for me because I was walking with a cane, move the paper protector so my foot wouldn't slide when getting in and when I took a used 2011 Jeep Patriot for a test drive, he had me park right in front of the doors and he moved it to a spot so that I didn't have to walk far. His personality made you feel like you were with a family friend and so comfortable I wanted to invite him to Christmas dinner! One thing I didn't mention was that I went on December 22nd and by Christmas Eve, I was in my new (used) car. My intentions were to purchase a new vehicle but Al worked with me and found the perfect used car for me that even has heated seats so it feels great on my back!! Apparently, my father called in and asked Al if he could put a red bow on the car since I was picking it up on Christmas Eve. Al went and found a red bow and put it on the windshield while I was with Blake Riley, another outstanding employee, and helped to make a whimsical dream of mine come true and help make a father see his daughter so happy to be in a comfortable Jeep she loved as soon as she got in. I have wanted a Jeep for 13 years and now...I have one thanks to Al. He is such a wonderful asset to Gengras and I hope when I bring my car for service he'll be around so I can say hi and thank him again!

Many years ago, I owned a 1975 Dodge Dart. I drove that car for at least 15 years, drove it right into the ground. It was a great car. So when I decided to get a truck, Dodge was high on my list. I had purchased a motorcycle from Gengras Harley in 2010 and was really pleased with the experience. So of course Gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep was already pretty high on my list of places I wanted to do business with. Having said that, I would have walked out in a heartbeat if things weren't to my satisfaction.Well, I didn't walk out. Gengras was fantastic. Janie Sterling, my Account Rep, is top notch when it comes to helping someone find the right vehicle. I am a bit of a pain when it comes to buying a vehicle. I like to take my time, mull it over, do online research, etc. Janie understood perfectly, and never tried to push me or high pressure me. She was really patient with me.When it finally came time to buy the truck, a 2012 Ram Sport Quad, the entire dealership operated with smoothly integrated cooperation to make the experience as easy as possible. And I was struck by how motivated everyone was to do their job well. BTW, I gave the Price category four stars because, let's face it, prices are never as low as we'd like. But Janie did what she could to get me all the rebates and incentives to which I was entitled. Really pleased with the entire experience.

I purchased a FIAT from Gengras. I am very happy with the vehicle, but not happy with the dealership....the car never went through its required service bulletins. It got delivered to me without this necessary feature. There was a bulletin that something needed to be adjusted. That never happened. I was riding on the MA Pike and saw something on my dash "Stop immediately". I had my 4 year old Grandson with me and he was scared..I had to be towed off the MA Pike...my daughter had to come and get me, I went to Gengras the next day, they said FIAT towing would only pay for a certain amount of miles, so I contacted another FIAT dealer in MA. They towed it is and fixed all the necessary bulletinsAnother issue. I was driving and my tire blew out. That happens. When the tow truck came to put the donut on, there was no donut! I asked specifically to make sure there was a donut on that car as I drive to MA often...I contacted Chip Gengras, he said "sorry, we can sell you a donut for $250". That was that. Terrible customer service after the sale. Terrible service dept messup. I have no problem telling this to anyone. Great car however save yourself time and go somewhere else.

I have never like the process of buying a new car, but these guys made it as painless as possible. Albie Lavigne is our "go to" guy! He goes out of his way to not only give you a great deal, but he was extremely diligent in finding the Jeep Overland my husband wanted - he didn't stop until he got got it and delivered it in an extremely short amount of time. He is the only sales person we will go to when buying cars at Gengras. He's personable, very accommodating. and the benchmark to which all other sales personnel should be held accountable. We just bought our second car from Gengras this year. The first was a Wrangler we bought from Joe Goffa for our son and Joe was terrific. We had been looking at a lot of vehicles and Joe was a welcome change to the "typical" dealer experience. In fact we had just purchased another vehicle for our other son from a competitor and the experience was so bad after the sale that I won't ever buy from them again. By contrast, Joe treated us (including our dog) with respect and was very welcoming. We test drove several vehicles and he was very patient with our questions. He knows so much about Jeep that every time I did any research on the vehicles, I found that I was simply confirming what Joe had already told us. It was very refreshing to work with someone who so clearly enjoys his work. The second is a Grand Cherokee Overland we bought from Dennis Pelletier. When we went to the dealership we asked for Joe and when he greeted us, he seemed embarrassed to say that he had been promoted to Sales Manager so he introduced us to Dennis who then helped us with our purchase. Although Dennis is new, he did a great job and was very helpful and friendly. Joe stayed involved in the purchase so we really felt like we had two great guys helping us. It is very clear to us that when you buy a vehicle from Joe or Dennis, they are thinking about the "next" sale to you. In other words, they want you to come back! We really felt respected and appreciated as a repeat customer.

He took me for a test drive then let me test drive the car again the next day with my girlfriend, was very patient with me and my endless indecisiveness. I was driving around the same car for 9 years and one of the reasons I was doing this was because I dislike the process of buying a car so much and I dislike pushy over aggressive car salesmen. Jim had none of those negative attributes and was just a genuinely nice guy. He made everything about buying this car as hassle-free as possible. As long as hes in the business Ill only buy cars from him.

I took my 2005 chrysler crossfire srt6 in last week for a minor electrical issue and at 4pm the same day I received a call telling me while driving my car one of the mechanics was involved in an accident.The first thing that came to mind is there is no reason my car needed to be driven,much less driven on the highway,to diagnose a minor electrical problem.Cooler heads prevailed and the service adviser Kurt was very apologetic.However since then I have been lied to several times regarding the accident.I was initially told it was the other "woman's" fault and that the adjuster was coming the next day at which time I asked to be informed when he was there because I wanted to see the car on a lift to see the damage.The next day when I went to pick up the loaner they offered me I was told the adjuster wasn't coming and that since it went to their legal department because one of their employees was involved.I was then given a form provided by the state police with the other parties information and it was clearly a man.I was given a Jeep Patriot as a loaner.After 2 days of hearing nothing I called the insurance provider of the other party and found out there was in fact no claim reported.Today I spoke with the General Manager to point out that there was no reason my car should have been driven,especially not on the highway.He told me that every car is "safety inspected" and driving the car is part of that inspection.This is absurd.I also requested a loaner somewhat closer to a chrysler crossfire than a Jeep and was told their hands are tied so now my sports car they crashed sits at a body shop while I'm stuck with a Jeep until the insurance companies sort out liability.I've spoken to more than one Gengras mechanic and they both said test driving the car as part of a safety inspection when the car is in for a minor electrical issue is absurd and I think any logical person will agree.Where is the accountability?

I was starting to explore new cars since my lease was coming to an end in May. I started my shopping at dealer of another brand. They did not WOW! me-in fact, they were quite rude to my 18 year old son and 15 year old daughter. I also felt that they did not take me seriously- the first guy I talked to called a salesman over and said "do you want to help her or do you want me to find someone else". While the vehicles were nice, the experience left me feeling a bit cold. My son mentioned I should look at Jeep, especially since my employer participates in the Chrysler Affiliates Program. I took his advice and stopped into Gengras. The customer service was so much better! I got hooked up with Joe Goffa, who understood what I was looking for. He established a great rapport with my kids and from the get-go treated me with respect. I test drove the Liberty, Patriot and Compass (liked them all!) I did a little more shopping, looking at the Honda CR-V (beautiful, but a bit out of my price range with the options I wanted) and test drove the Ford Escape,as well as doing online shopping with other Jeep dealers, but ultimately went back to Gengras to seal the deal on a 2012 Compass Latitude at a great lease price. Joe was patient through all of this, was very enthusiastic, and was very knowledgable about the Jeep product. He is an asset to Gengras for sure! Throughout the whole process, Joe provided great communication, perservance in finding me the White Compass Latitude with the Sun and Sound package I wanted and answered all of my NUMEROUS questions. I hadn't planned on settling on a new car yet, but the Gengras experience (I was WOW'd), the great price, the lease incentives, and the Chrysler Affiliates Program presented me with a deal I couldn't pass up! It has been three weeks since I drove the car off the lot and I LOVE IT! Thanks Joe!

Emmerson worked with me literally every day this week ( week ending 3-10-12). He has been SUCH an awesome help to me. One car didn't work out, he helped me out to look at the options I did have that were affordable for me. Blake was very nice helping me out with the financial half of it, again, working with me just about every day to try and get me into a new car. Turns out I left with a new car. To whom it may concern:My name is LaKiesha Reed, and I'm a single African American, Insurance Professional, and Mother.My boyfriend Jovan and I were paired with Ralph Eastwood. Ralph and I conversed back on forth on my needs vs. wants, and exactly what I would qualify for. We test drove cars and explored all options. Then to my amazement, Ralph found the car of my dreams!!! It was everything I had asked for, and then some! This 2008 Chrysler 300 had all the bells and whistles and actually fit the parameters Ralph said I had fallen into, in order to be granted the loan. I was sooo happy, but this however didn't last long.To make a very long story short, at Gengras Chrysler Dodge, I received exactly what I asked for in a car by the salesperson Ralph, and was approved for 2 loans. However, by the time the deal was to be finalized, I found myself being totally mishandled, involved in an obvious war of such between Gengras Chrysler and Gengras Chevy, blatantly disrespected, verbally assaulted and admittedly ostracized by both the finance manager Blake Riley and General Sales Manager Rich Lamb. To sum it up, I pretty much received the WORST customer service, I have ever encountered, to date. Therefore I took my business elsewhere and was approved for a 2012 Chrysler 200 just 24 hours later. Joe Goffa was my Sales Rep, he was EXCELLENT. Very enthusiastic and informative about my new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. He owns one, so he was very good at demonstrating how to use the various features. He also kept me apprised of the process as it was being built-to-order.The Front Desk was just "good," because they weren't that helpful. When I'd ask to see Joe, they'd just kind of say "ok, just go look for him, but actually I think he has the day off." I thought for sure they'd page him or at least get in touch with him somehow to let him know I had arrived. This happened 2x when I went there, so I think they just aren't super helpful.

During the sales process, Gerald was very helpful and had good advice that helped me decide which auto to buy all while taking the time to look over several different cars on that day. I was most impressed by his honest impressions of what the vehicles were and what features would be better for my needs, and especially impressed by the fact that the different vehicles were on three different lots at other gengras stores. The friendliness and professionalism are excellent through the entire sale and delivery. We did encounter a small glitch with an over-payment, and there was a fair amount of confusion as to resolving it - however the staff maintained their professional and helpful attitude throughout the process of resolving our issue. I would definitely recommend this dealer. They went above and beyond - also had a small service issue and they did well more than expected to repair it.

Worked with Joe and Jeremy to purchase our new Wrangler. There was no pressure to buy. Went up to look at the Jeep and take a test drive, look at the different options and packages available. We were able to narrow down both color and option package. A few days later a Jeep Gengras had on order came in exactly the way I wanted it. We had to replace two cars in one weekend and Joe was phenomenal in finding us what we loved at a price we needed. He made himself available to us on a Sunday, which was very convenient. I have bought vehicles in the past at various dealers and it's was always a.....well lets just say I rather have a tooth pulled with no anesthesia than go through that again. At Gengras my experience was far better than expected. No pushy sales people. I was able to browse at my leisure and was able to ask questions when I needed to. I met with salesman Joe Goffa. Joe is extremely knowledgeable. He is full of energy and he really works hard to fullfill the customers needs. I would definately recommend Gengras to family and friends. This was my first experience buying a car, and I have to say, it wasn't as scary as the real world makes it seem. I fell in love with a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo at Gengras, and just after 3 days, I was driving my new Jeep home. Joe Goffa was my salesman and he made it fun to purchase a car! Never did he try to get me into a different type of car, or anything I wasn't interested in therefore was never pushy. When I came to pick the car up, the detail work was AMAZING, I truly felt like I was driving home a BRAND NEW car, never mind a 2008!! I was slipping on my leather seats they were so smooth, the wheels looked fantastic, and the outside of the car looked as though it had been hand waxed for hours it was so shiny. I am 100% satisfied with the service I was provided with at Gengras & from Joe, I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in getting themselves a new car. 5 stars for all of you! I recently purchased a new Jeep Wrangler from Gengras and I could not have been more happy with the whole process starting with my salesman, Joe Goffa, and concluding with the finance manager, Blake Riley. When I first entered the dealership I was greeted by Joe and we hit it off great. It was evident that Joe really loves what he does and he was very patient when I asked him quite a few questions. When we couldn't find a Wrangler that met all of my criteria Joe did not stop and eventually figured out a way to get me into the exact Jeep that I wanted and I didn't have to sacrifice a thing! After we found my Jeep Joe put me in touch with Blake Riley who dealt with my financing. Like Joe, Blake clearly loves what he does and he too was very patient with all of my questions. We ran through about 100 scenarios and Blake didn't show the slightest hint of annoyance. In the end it was based on Blake's knowledge and recommendation that I financed my car through Gengras and chose the options that I did. If you are looking for a new Chrysler Dodge or Jeep vehicle I cannot recommend Gengras and specifically Joe Goffa more highly. Although I hope my new Wrangler lasts me quite a while I will definitely be using Gengras and Joe for all of my future car purchases and I recommend that everyone does the same.

My experience at Gengras was excellent by all measures. The salesman, Joe, had great energy from the first moment we met and applied not undue pressure at any time. He was extremely responsive to all of my questions, and I had a lot of them. He was quick to reply to emails with the necessary information. I tend to get fairly deep into the financials in these sort of deals, and the team at Gengras was very accommodating and patient in allowing me the necessary time to ensure that I was comfortable with the payments and all of the pieces that went into calculating them. I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Gengras. I want to thank the whole team for providing an extremely comfortable experience. I would definitely recommend the dealership to others and fully intent to return in the future.

I had purchased my 2007 Pacifica from Gengras with a good experience prior to the Dodge Journey that I bought in Sept 2010. Loved the Pacifica, but when a Gengras Dodge brochure came in the mail about purchasing my vehicle back above the book value for a new Chrysler/Dodge, I wanted to check it out. Walked into the lobby of Gengras and was handed off to salesman Joe Goffa. He asked me what car I was interested in and what brought me in. I told him I was interested in the 0% financing offered and what I could get for the Pacifica towards a new vehicle and what I could afford for a monthly payment. All said and done, I went after the Journey for the extra seating and quite a few nice options. Wasn't pressured in any way to make up my mind, the Journey didn't qualify for the 0% financing, so Joe and Jeromy worked the trade in to make my monthly payment that I asked for by giving me a better trade in price for my Pacifica, which I thought was very professional! Since the Journey is my wife's car, Joe gave me dealer plates so I could bring it home for the night! Just had the free oil change with the express service, thought they could have been a little more friendly.

We recently bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. We cannot say enough about Wayne our salesman, he was polite, knowledgeable, and best of all, he did not pressure us or try to steer us into a vehicle we did not want. We are aware that most car salesmen would prefer to sell new cars, but Wayne did not hesitate to go out in the cold, bring each vehicle we wanted to drive up to the showroom, while we enjoyed hot chocolate until the cars warmed up. Our only disappointment came when we arrived to pick up our vehicle. We had a scheduled appointment for 6pm. Our appointment was made to suit the finance departments schedule; so our schedules were rearranged so we could make the 45 minute ride without getting stuck in Hartford rushhour traffic. We arrived 15 minutes early, but then were made to wait an hour and 15 minutes for the finance office to complete our paperwork. Talk about killing the whole experience. Our excitement about picking up our "new to us" vehichle slowly was chipped away as we waited, and waited and waited. How awkward for Wayne, who had done such an incredible job, to be put in the position to make excuses for his co-worker. Our anger only grew when we decided to wander down to the finance office to see just what the "emergency" was. It was obvious that the emergency was another customer. Only once we were spotted did the employee wrap up his conversation. Having worked in the service industry for 30 years, I am all too familiar with sales and customer service. If I had a potential client with a scheduled appointment and made them wait over an hour, I know I would lose the sale. The lack of consideration is inexcusable. If we could rate our salesman we would have checked all #5's on the survey. If we decide to buy another vehicle it will be with Wayne...Was it worth the hour drive to get our Jeep, yes, thanks to Wayne!

I purchased a 2007 Dodge Ram in excellent condition and the vehicle was spotless with a full tank of gas when I picked it up. I found Joe to be very patient with me and personable as I tried to decide between 2 vehicles at Gengras. I was given a fair trade in value for my car allowing me to purchase the truck. Prior to Gengras, I went to a Chevrolet dealer in Springfield who insulted me with their trade in offer for my car. I have switched from being a Chevy owner to being a proud Dodge Truck owner, thanks to Joe and Gengras!!

We had an issue with the windows in our Jeep Liberty. The management solved the problem at no charge and we also had some other service work done. The prices were reasonable for the additional service. The work was all done in a timely manner.I also want to commend the recertionist. She was always pleasant and courteous.We were so pleased that we went car shopping last week at Gengras. We will be purchasing a car within the next month.Thank you for a very good experience.

This rating is for the sales experience, which was terrific. A very comfortable satisfying buying experience, I bought a new Grand Cherokee. I went in first and test drove an Overland, wonderful car but wanted to shop around to look at other possibilities. Went back two days later knowing I wanted a Jeep but didn't need all the features of the Overland and Wayne worked with me to find exactly the car I wanted with the options I wanted. The Business Manager and Finance Representative were also professional and helpfu. Overall an absolutely terrific experience. Though the end of this story is the sale of this new car, the beginning lies in the service this dealership offers. My last car was a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, when my dealer closed I started going to Gengras for service. The person who seems to always be my contact is named Scott. I've had wonderful experiences there, Scott is professional, thorough and always seemed to want to provide the service I needed without selling me things I didn't. It's probably thanks to him that I went back to Gengras to buy my new car. I'd recommend this dealership to anyone, and in fact, I have.

My husband and I went to Gengras after a long relationship with another dealership (closer to our home). We found the experience of doing business with this dealership to be very professional, informative, and comfortable. I was very specific about what I wanted and Gengras did not have this on their lot. Albie search and located precisely what I wanted. He priced it out very competitively and the finance rate bet our three credit unions. Although we showed up at the busiest time of the year, and day for that matter, Albie's relaxed, and professional attentiveness, would not have revealed this. He was informative about the product lines, knew so many details about the internal, external features, compared older versions to newer, innovations to proven history, and satisfied any questions we had. His knowledge and experience was easily displayed. It is not easy to spend money in these times, but the value, product and customer service received from this dealership left us very satisfied with our transaction. I would highly recommend giving this dealership a chance to let you know what they can do for you. We drove our new car, shinny clean and with a full tank of gas, home yesterday and could not be happier. Thank you Albie!

I have to say when I walked into Gengras I didn't know what to expect, but then Joe came over to me and introduced himself and asked what he could do for me. I had told him that I was interested in a Caliber, and I had noticed the one on the showroom floor, thinking that well it is a brand new one but Joe said well lets take it for a run and we did and I loved it of course. We got back and I am thinking that there is no way that I would be getting a 2011 car. We had gone into Joe's office and worked out some numbers and figured some things out and went from there. The next day I was called and said I was approved for the loan within a week I am driving my brand new Dodge Caliber thanks to Joe. Everything went so smoothly and I do have to say that it was just a great experience for me and for my first brand new car ever. First of all let me start off with saying that this would be my third time buying a car at a dealership and i wish i would have gone to gengras the first two time's , best car shopping experience ever !!! . staff were great from the salesman to the floor managers and the finance manager . They were all very helpful any question i had they had the answer for ,there was no need for them to go ask someone else. The salesman was great he made sure i got the right car for the right deal made sure i felt comftorble with my purchase and did not try to over sell me something i didnt want , i told him what i was looking for ,the price range and when i came in he had a couple of cars lined up for me. i ended up buying a brand new dodge avenger which i am in love with, for a great price . i also plan on going back very soon with my younger brother he is also looking for a car so i recomended him to vtek (salesman) , he is a great guy . overall very friendly customer service, place is very clean and spotless , great cars ,great prices and great people working there .

I went to Gengras to buy a new Dodge Ram. I was looking for a truck that was well equipped but not with an abundance of features that I did not need. Joe was persistent and eventually found exactly what I was looking for. I had looked for trucks at a few other local dealers in Connecticut and the bottom line price Gengras provided me with was the best deal I came across. I was referred to this dealership by a relative who had purchased two vehicles from them and I would recommend them as well to someone in the future.
