Was stuck in a situation on a leased car that I was over mileage and still had 9 months left on the lease. I called Carlo Cirilo explained my situation. We discussed my needs and wants. He took the time out to research what was the best deal for me. Him and George worked up a deal that exceeded my expectation. I have only the best to say about the Service Department at Girard Nissan. Their Service Department, especially Darling, always made sure to explain things in a way that I would understand. They are friendly, reliable, efficient, and very knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. I would never bring my Altima to a different shop. If you have a Nissan, you really should go here.

The Girard Body Shop has consistently proved that they know their stuff! I've, unfortunately, had to have both of my vehicles in for repairs multiple times over that last 2 years, but I'm thankful to have such an awesome shop to take care of me. :) The quality of work they provide is second to none, and their professionalism is unparalleled. Their customer service is ALWAYS excellent too! Meredith is extremely pleasant to work with and always keeps me updated with the progress of the repairs. Keith, the manager, is very professional and always takes extra time to make sure that I understand the full scope of the repairs being performed. My vehicles are always ready well before their promised date. Heck, during my most recent visit, my vehicle was ready a FULL week before they said it would be, and it was definitely a pleasant surprise. :D I'm always recommending this body shop to all of my friends and family, and I plan to continue doing business there for all of my collision repair needs.

Monday 6/22/15 I just happened to be driving by the dealership when I decided to see what they had in stock, I checked online to see what the reviews were, whilst in the parking lot, they seemed ok, so I decided to check the items they had in stock, I noticed an older gentleman walking out the door to approach me, he brought me in to the show room before I even had a chance to look at any vehicles on the lot. He asked what kind of payment I was looking for, I explained what payment I could do, I also told him I would prefer to put $0 down. But could put $500 down if absolutely necessary. Three hours after I gave them the down payment, they stated that they needed $200 more. Flash forward to today 6/26/15 when I went to the dealership to give them back The vehicle because I was refusing to keep it, when I asked him why did you have me sit around for 4 hours the first day was here, the manager told me that "the credit union was not open so they had to wait until the following day." My initial thought was If the credit union wasn't open, how would they have known that they needed another $200 to secure the financing? Before I ever signed to purchase the vehicle on 6/23/15 they let me take the car home, stating that they were going to work on getting a better financing rate, but to get to the point where I was sent home with the car, I waited 4 hours for them to "work on the financing" whilst my 2 children were running a muck through out the dealership, this seemed to be a tactic to stress me out to the point where I would just sign the papers with out reading them just to get out of there, luckily my husband was here to help with the children, but it was undoubtedly a very stressful time indeed. I took the car home 6/22/15 and brought it to the shop to be checked out, the mechanic explained to me that the transmission was slipping it wouldn't shift into a higher gear when driving down the highway and would rev at six grand until the accelerator pedal was released and furthermore the car would also raise the idol on declining ground. When I went back to the dealership the next day6/23/15 my spouse was unable to go with me, which was scary because he is the one who deals with all of the finances in the household, but the men at the dealership insisted that I come back at this time, so I did.. I explained to the people at the dealership that I was not satisfied with the vehicle at all, I told them explicitly that I didn't want the vehicle, I cited the following reasons as to why I didn't want the vehicle, first there was a severe smoke smell in the car, and also explained that my mechanic told me that the transmission isn't working properly, one gentlemen stated that they could do an extended warranty on it, I do not have his name but he was an older gentleman in his 60s with grey hair, he didn't introduce his self but he did offer a warranty to me. I explained that I still didn't want the vehicle, another salesman stated that he would take the vehicle out for a ride to check it out, this man was in his early 30's had a small build. So when he returned from the test drive he confirmed that the idle was odd whilst going down a hill, this man stated that this was "normal" for a cvt transmission. He didn't check it on a highway to witness the lack of shifting. The sales manager explained that he worked really hard to get me the loan, and that I wouldn't have gotten a loan if he didn't do that work, and also explained if I didn't get a car from them I wouldn't get financing. I asked him what kind of interest rate he got and he said, what does it matter! And refused to tell me, "I kept it within the price range you asked for", he made it seem like I owed him for doing that work. I felt backed into a corner at this point. I told the staff that there were vehicles posted for sale online through other dealerships with far lower miles, at the same

It was my first time financing a car. I bought it for my wife and kids to be safe and have reliable transportation. I got an awesome deal and warranty from Girard nissan. Salesmans name was Carlo. He was very helpful and friendly. No pressure, no hassle, great service. I must say that all stories i have heard about dealerships are not true. This was a good experience and i recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to Girard we have a new car that we can afford. It's a wonderful feeling. Girard nissan is a great dealership.

recently had some body work there staff was great and friendly. overall work was good. had a few unforeseen problems beyond there controlled that they handled very well and as quick as they could in getting multiple replacement parts till getting the one that work properly. My issue was with the final product detailing of the car the first time was awful the way they buffed out the repaired area so brought back and they corrected but then left the area where pin stripping was removed un buffed so you can see the lines from old pin stripping it's this little detail that is hurting there quality of work just not a complete job

We found a truck we wanted to purchase online and went down to the dealership, decided to buy if the price was right. These people wouldn't even give us payments without us giving them a credit card, which I refused to do. Finally we got the payments and decided to purchase the truck, only because it was kind of a one of a kind truck at a decent price. So after all was said and done, we didn't even get an owners manual for our brand new truck and it took three weeks and 5 phone calls to get it. So now six weeks later we realized we don't have the wheel key for the wheel locks and they have no idea where they are so I need to take the truck back again and have new wheel locks put on. I am overall happy with the truck but I will never deal with that dealership again in any capacity.

They fixed the cosmetics, but not the frame damage. We brought our car in after an accident. In the initial estimate of damages they missed a serious issue: the clearance between the frame and the rear wheels is very different (there is less than a finger-width of clearance on one side and a hand-width on the other). I pointed it out prior to repairs and they wrote it down. They just called us to say everything is fixed and we can pick it up on Monday. We stopped by when the auto body shop wasn't open and inspected the car. The clearance issue definitely is not fixed. We'll see what happens on Monday. At this point, I am not impressed. I shouldn't have to advocate to get them to fix obvious problems. I will follow up when the job is finished.

I went in to look at a frontier, I am closing on a house so they cant hit my credit until its done. They told me to come back when they can run my credit and wouldnt bother working with me. I then went to nissan of norwich and they worked with me and worked out a deal. As soon as I can I will go back to Nissan of Norwich and pick a Frontier up from them.

i will post my problems after i get my car back but if you ever have to get a nissan fixed you might be safer going to a dodge dealership then you are going to girard nissan in groton they have had my car for over two weeks and have yet to fix anything on it i will say that when we bought this nissan from them years earlier the process was top notch but their service dept was so bad that i will never by another car or use the service dept again they were rude to my wife "and lied to her" and they were rude to me about my wife like i said i will have details and post a more indepth review after i get my car back from them

A few months ago, I had my 2009 Nissan serviced for the 90,000 mile maintenance. It's been about 2 months and I noticed that my coolant level was low, not "low", but only having roughly 1/2 inch of fluid in the reservoir. I called Nissan and told them about it and brought the car in. I had them fill up the coolant, and was told by the service manager that is was at the "low" mark and they topped it off. I watched the technician (the one who originally did the service I was told by the service manager) pour so much fluid into the reservoir that it overflowed, and did not clean up his mess. I did not appreciate being lied to.Secondly, I had my door handle replaced (it broke off with no warning) soon after the 90k service. Today it just broke off again.I feel that this dealership does not take pride in the work they do (body shop or servicing).These few problems are not the only problems I have had with Girard Nissan, but I feel that listing my problems here will make the dealership more aware of the shoddy service they are giving their loyal customers.

Keith Krouch and the team at Girard Nissan body shop did a fantastic job repairing my 2001 Ford Expedition. The paint is a brilliant red which is very difficult to match and they took the extra time to match it correctly - that isn't easy. About 10 years before I had taken it to another dealership in Florida for some repair work and they didn't match the paint correctly and it showed. The folks were friendly and helpful. Thanks to their efforts, the car looks great again.

Customer service has been excellent this past year with my Altima. Whether I call or visit the dealership they are helpful and friendly. They always accommodate my timeline when I bring in my car for maintenance checkups. Everything they do to my car is explained in detail and I am always very satisfied. I 'am very satisfied with the service I received while purchasing my used 2010 Murano LE. Out of all the vehicles I looked at and test drove, this was the most comfortable ride I experienced. The staff was very friendly and willing to compromise deals so I was happy with the bottom line. Was also able to get a remote starter out of the deal.

I have nothing but good words for this dealership. As we all know, service is the big topic when buying and owning a car. I bought my 2005 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab from them. The salesman is no longer with the company, but exemplified the above and beyond effort they make to serve customers. After sales, comes service. I really enjoy the people there. I am always greeted with a smile from the sales team. In service, Richard is the guru, and Kevin is on top of things, emailing me confirmation of my recent appointment. I think this may be new communication and I approve. If I have a question on service to be performed or completed service, I am very satisfied with their explanation. My truck has had some extensive engine work, and they tested the vehicle completely to ensure that when I received, it would operate as expected. Truth be told, I stepped on the gas when I got to the street, nothing fell off, and the truck continues to run fine. I count on them to maintain my truck for many more miles. They have made changes by adding a second waiting area up front where large windows flood the area with light. Small changes can make a big impact. This shows that they are really trying to make customers feel at ease.

I have had excellent service from Girard Nissan ever since I purchased my Altima from them four years ago. This was my first Nissan, after four Hondas in the previous 21 years. I made it very clear from the start that I hoped for better treatment from their service department than I had experienced with the Honda dealership, and so far so good. Richard usually is my service adviser and he is excellent. He really seems to like what he is doing and therefore he does it well. He is very knowledgeable about his product and service, and also extremely personable. My first impression of Girard Nissan was very positive - Bob, the salesman, was so helpful and also just such a nice person to deal with (car buying is not one of my favorite activities!) - no wonder he is still with Girard Nissan, now as sales manager. So all in all, I am very satisfied with Girard Nissan and I surely hope that this continues.

I bought a used 2012 Nissan Rogue almost a year ago. It had 12k miles on it. Jamie Koulbanis was our salesman and is fantastic! We took our time and he was patient all of the way. We just had our 30k check up and Richard was our consultant. He was very professional. This was an expensive service but we got a lot done and I believe it was well worth it. The parts department has been a big help as well. Bill has really helped us out. I ordered a Tourneau Cover and it came in as was not operational. They have sent it back with a new one on order. It was a lot cheaper than a Tourneau Cover for a Honda - let me tell you! I have sent someone there already and they have had a great experience as well.

We have purchased 5 new vehicles over the past 20 years from Girard. Wafic has been our salesperson and was wonderful. We have had issues with the service department in the past, i.e. they couldn't repair the A/C in our brand new Titan after several visits but when we brought it to our local mechanic he repaired it immediately. Our last visit was for body work to our 2012 Frontier. A 5-day job turned into 10 days and we feel very dissatisfied with the way the financial part of the transaction was handled. Also noticed after getting the vehicle home that there was one small spot that wasn't painted. We will probably touch it up ourselves once we go to another dealership to purchase the touch up paint since Girard didn't have any. Unfortunately, we will be bringing our vehicles (both Nissans) to another dealership for repairs and service in the future and will not be making any future purchases at Girard.

9.06.13- I have visited Girard Nissan Service Department for service of my 2007 Nissan Altima. This time they machined and re-installed rear brakes rotors and replaced rear brakes pads. And addition they have washed my car free of charge and within a couple hours I drove back my car in clean and perfect condition. They are always very friendly and helpful people. Great maintenance service. Im very satisfied.

Excellent maintenance and customer service received. Brought my 2008 Sentra for routine check on 8/23/2013, great service done and "cautioned" parts needing attention via the Nissan MPI explained well. I would definitely look into those mentioned items. Also, my Pathfinder was scheduled the following day but Mr. Richard Girard, told me to go ahead and bring it in after the Sentra. In summary, outstanding experience...definitely coming back. Thank you.

I went in for my one year check up on my 2012 Sentra, as well as having a leaky tire and a trunk that wouldn't close. They explained everything to me about the check up, and then came in during the other work and let me know what the progress was. It took a little longer than I thought, but was not a lot longer. I had a time quote on the check up, not the other work, so it adds up. I didn't feel as if they tried to sell me extra stuff, and were straightforward with what the costs were and what was being done. Richard, in service, was particularly helpful, and I had spoken to him on the phone to make my appointment. When I called back I got another guy, I think Kevin, and he gave me to Richard when he found out I had spoken with him previously. I think it's good that you work with the same employee throughout the process. That was a big plus for me.

We have leased all 3 new cars. We first went to Girard because we wanted to look at a 2007 Murano after we had left another Nissan dealer because we were ignored on the sales floor. (Story for another day) We were greeted by a very friendly staff. It was a rainy day they brought the Murano inside for my wife and I to look at so we would not have to stand out in the rain. ( nice customer service) We drove that Murano for 3 years until we were involved in a traffic accident while on vacation. We were hit from behind while stopped at a traffic light and our car was severely damaged because the girl who hit us was traveling about 35 mph. We and our 2 small children got out of the Murano without a scratch. ( says a lot for the safety of the vehicle) This is where Girard Nissan's customer service was over the top! I contacted Girard Nissan the morning after the accident because the Murano was leased and I thought they should know because it technically is Nissan's car and not ours. I spoke with the body shop manager who's first concern was that we were on vacation without a car as the Murano needed to be towed from the scene. I told him our car insurance company was trying to locate us a comparable vehicle to rent but were having trouble locating an SUV in our area. I was sure they would find one if we were patient. The body shop manager then told me to go enjoy my vacation as best we could and he would handle our car insurances search for the rental in our location and he would call us when he had news. About 2 hours had passed and he called us and said unfortunately they could not find an appropriate vehicle before the next day. This is when we were informed that Girard Nissan wanted to make sure our vacation would not ruined because we had no transportation in a remote area. I was informed that at that very moment an SUV from their used car row was being loaded onto the back of a flatbed truck to be delivered to us and they would pick up our vehicle and return it to Connecticut. I was stunned that Girard Nissan would bring me a car 250 miles away to make sure our family vacation would continue without further problems. We were told not to even think about dealing with the Murano being repaired they would handle everything. We used their car for a week until we returned from our vacation. I went to the dealership after we returned to sign papers for the repair of our Murano. When I arrived not only did they have a complete estimate of the damage to our car but they had an SUV from a rental company ready for me to take while our car was repaired. I have told this story many times since and thought it was about time I shared this story in this forum. We have good car insurance and I did not have to pay out of pocket for any of this. In fact Girard Nissan never even charged my insurance company for the use of their car. For which I will always be grateful. Their only concern was taking care of their customer. I have since this incident leased 2 more new Nissan's from Girard Nissan and have been satisfied with every experience with every member of the staff at Girard Nissan. As long as I drive a Nissan it will ONLY come from Girard and I will ONLY go to them for any needs I might have. Management, sales, parts, service, body shop and anyone else we have had any dealings with have all been 1st class Thank- You Peter Monks

8.14.13- I have visited Girard Nissan Service Department for service of my 2007 Nissan Altima. This time they have replaced worn fluid in power steering system and technician replaced both front wiper blades. They also have replaced, free of charge, engine oil and filter and have washed my car. They are always very friendly and helpful people. They are answered all my queries, and within a couple hours I drove back my Altima in clean and perfect condition. And addition they did Multi Point Inspection free of charge and gave me detailed recommendations for future services. Thank you for excellent service.

The body shop did amazing work on my car. They worked very well with me and my insurance company and were able to answer any questions I had. I was going to be out of town when my car was finished and they held it until I was back at no extra charge. I highly recommend them to anyone needing car service. I don't even drive a Nissan. I will continue to take my vehicles there for future service.

I purchased a vehicle on Monday 8/5/13 and the whole process was long and dragged out got to the dealership at 8:30am and left at 2:30pm left with the car and a dealer plate, i had requested when i bought the car to have the hood replaced. Since I left the dealership I have called 3 times in the past week asking when the parts would be in. Also since I left the dealership my brakes seem to be going which I also told my sales-person who brushed it off and said he would have someone look at it. New problem is now my paperwork they gave me for the dealer plates expired which i also told the sales person who said we'll look at it when you come down. I have called the dealership 3 times and they have always said they would call me back and I have yet to receive a call from the dealership. This is the last time I go to this dealership!!!!

My experience was OK. We have always purchased our cars here and I feel the prices are always very reasonable, and the cars I find to be the cleanest of any dealer. I do find them to be typical salesmen, and you have to keep reminding them of what you need once you have made the sale. I was disappointed that I had to make 2 trips to the dealership for them to get the scratches off my used car. I was not impressed at all with the salesman Carlos, he claimed me when I had very little time to check out the car I just wanted to see if it was worth coming back for. When I came back I had Jason who was very pleasant and honest. Carlos kept trying to be involved but should have minded his business at that point. When I had set up to have my car tended to the second time I had requested a loaner and what needed to be done. When I called to confirm this, I had to repeat all the information once again I felt it should have been remembered if I was such a good customer like I was told I was.

The repairs are fine but this is the second time that I have brought my truck for repair and parts were left in my vehicle that I figured out myself to put back. Also, my vehicle was cleaned and I was not informed that some of my belongings were place or taken out of the vehicle without prior authorization. These items were no value but again they are missing. My antenna again was put on my vehicle when I have specifically had taken it off for my xm radio. speaking of my XM radio my fm transmitter was unplugged and my holder of my xm radio holder was also hanging when I got into my 04 GMC Envoy. Finally, my radio was turned off and set on 88.3 with the ac/heat completely off. when I returned to my vehicle the radio was set to a complete different channel and my ac was left on 5. These little things may seem small but its the point that this is the second time that these things have happen where there are parts left in my vehicle that i do not know where they went until I researched and figured it out. This place is a good repair place but for me I had a few bad experiences with the items i mentioned above. This repair shop is close for me. I would recommend this repair shop to others but I do have to say use caution on items in your vehicle and how you left the inside of your vehicle.

On Tuesday, 7-16-13, my 2007 Nissan Frontier wouldn't start on at least 3 occasions. About 10 minutes after the initial attempt, it did start. On the 3rd time it started up, I drove to Girard Nissan on Gold Star Highway in Groton. Richard Girard waited on me. He listened intently to my description of the problem. It still seemed a little out of the ordinary. But he was able to take my vehicle in and have a mechanic look at it. Within a half hour, he came into the waiting room and explained the problem the technician had diagnosed. He told me the parts manager, Bill Kersteter, would have the part delivered overnight and the technician would put a temporary fix on the situation so that I could drive it home that night. I brought my truck back in Wednesday afternoon and the repair was done in short order. The friendliness of the staff members I dealt with, the timliness of the diagnosis and repair and the low cost of having this problem taken care of all made this an overall very pleasant experience in my dealings at Girard Nissan. Couldn't be more pleased.

I went there to buy a new car, well they talked me into buying and I bought it. The interest rate was quiet high, but I understand that is their way to make money. The thing that makes me mad is that I was new buyer and I think they had big advantage over me. They are Really nice people and they threat like family. I would RECOMMENED this Dealership to anyone who knows how to deal and negotiate. They are not bad people they are just trying to make a living, if you are not really want the car, you are free to leave and nobody is forcing you to sign !

Last week, 5/30/2013, I brought my 2010 Altima in for service .Employee/supervisors Kevin and Rich were there to assist. Supervisor Kevin handled my service on a noise coming from the left wheel. We did a brief test ride and I was given a time to expect a call on the trouble, which I did. I was given a courtesy ride across the Gold Star bridge to work which is greatly appreciated. Trouble was a wheel bearing and it was repaired promptly, plus an oil change. The generosity and professionalism given to me by the service department is why I continue to lease and purchase cars from this dealership. The noise from the wheel is no longer there and it has been 4 days, and I have been listening for it. Thank you Girard Nissan and especially Supervisor Kevin.

Took my 2013 sl altima in for its 7500 mile service with a small list of concerns. Rich Girard was very attentive and positve to my concerns . So far this has been my forth visit to the dealership and I must says all has been positve in the way they have listen to me and met my concerns. Everyone there is very helpful and friendly. My wife and I stopped buy about three months ago with a small problem, Rich offered to have someone look at it that afternoon and offered my wife and I a ride home so that we would not have to wait around which I thought was just great. I Went in for my scheduled maintenance and had my car worked on and was out in an hour, They vacuumed my car and washed it and made it look really sharp. I went to this dealership to look at a used vehicle that I ultimately was not interested in once I took it for a test drive. Wyfic spent the time to search his inventory of other vehicles available in my price range and found me the perfect used vehicle. I had no intentions of driving away in the car I ultimately purchased since it wasn't even on my radar of cars I might consider. it was a perfect match with the perfect price. I called service to explain an issue I was having with my vehicle, spoke to Peter he was very friendly and made time for me to come in right away. When I arrived he was avilable to speak to me right away and took me over to parts, waited with me to verify they had the parts my vehicle may need. He was then able to schedule an appt for me around my work schedule. I arrived the day of appt to drop my car off. Peter was there waiting and since their shuddle wasnt there he took the time to drop me off at my job and then pick me up when my car was finshed. I will definitly be back at this dealership for future service! My car is running great and Peter has even followed up with me via phone to confirm I havent had any issues. This visit was over all a great visit. I had to wait for my car to get an oil change and tire rotation. If you purchase your vehicle there, they send you a coupon book where every other scheduled maintenance service is free as long as you do the previous service with them. Your service department associates were all very professional and pleasant. I didn't have the opportunity to meet or thank the mechanics who actually did the work. However, I was a bit unhappy with the over $200 charge for service! The car was due for an oil change but had less than 11,000 miles. I understand that there is a tremendous overhead in running a dealership. Certainly being in business is no picnic with all the regulations, taxes and government speed bumps the government puts in the way. The cost of these bureaucratic obstacles conjured up by idiots who never ran a business or had to meet a payroll have to be passed on to customers. I was very impressed by the sparkling appearance of the car when it was returned. I wish the road conditions had been better and not still wet and sloppy in places. I don't know what was used to clean the alloy wheels, but they looked like new! Please express my appreciation to the detailers who did such a great job! This is the third Altima my wife leased from your agency. They have all been reliable and trouble free, but the overall cost per mile is very high considering they are only driven about 5,000 miles a year. There is no reward for turning them in with such low mileage. It is her decision, but I would be hesitant to get involved in another lease deal.

My experience with Girard Nissan has always been great. The service dept was very accommodating as usual. This last visit, Richard was able to fit me in for a full servicing of my car, although it was a last minute appt I had made the day before. It was a saturday also. The customer service was good, They explained in detail everything that needed to be done and the time frames in which it should be addressed. The dealership was able to address all but one of the problems with my vechicle. The exception being a serpentine belt that due to it being a saturday afternoon they were unable to obtain. I am always satisfied with the service, and will continue to use Girard Nissan for as long as I own my car.Tammy Woodard

Came in from Mitchell college for repair of fluids and cleaned car. I got what I needed done to the car for about $500 over a $800. It was cheaper than the other places nearby. Got what I needed and I was done. Sales rep Jason Griffin is also good and if you want a smooth sale go to this guy. Gives you a chance to experience what you want to drive and doesn't hassle you for a sale.

He apolized after for not washing the car. It was a snow and bitter cold day. He said I could call another day to have it done. Another Super and Satisfied visit to Girard Nissan for a Service visit. Enough cannot be said about the Professionalism, Friendliness, Honesty and suberb work done by the one who serviced my car. For the past 2 years I have never left the Service Dept feeling that maybe I am not being told the truth of being taken by dishonesty.I ususally just visit the Service Dept for routine Maintenance. This time while my car is under waranty had to have a part replaced. Both Auto Body and Service were terrific. I wish I remembered who called from Auto Body to let us know the car was repaired on time and the fact that they made sure they checked with Service to expedite the service due. Richard from Service has always taken care of us and that is why we have taken our vehicles there for the last six years. I have purchased five vehicles from them and have nothing but outstanding service and super deals when purchasing. During Hurricane Sandy, a tree fell on my car. The damage that was done was pretty bad, but not bad enough to have the car totaled out. I brought my car to Girard Nissan to have them fix the damage that was done. The original estimate was 22 days. After the dealership noticed additional damage that wasn't included in the original estimate, the estimate was increased. The dealership eventually ended up having my car for around 60 days. While the length of the repair was almost 3 times the original estimate, the work that was done was excellent. They were also very good at responding with updates when I called to find out the status. They were very forthcoming with the issues that were causing delays such as waiting for parts or tools needed to complete the repair. Also, when my rental reimbursement coverage ran out the dealership provided me with a loaner car for the remainder of the repair.

Having just purchased a used Nissan Titan truck from a private party I needed to have it gone thru to diagnose any potential problems. Peter took great care to get the truck into the dealership in a timely manner. He quickly called me to fill me in on the work needed and gave me a fair price to complete the work. I relied on feedback from George, Bob and Sam in the used car department regarding the vehicle's condition, and there were no surprises when I took delivery of the vehicle a couple of weeks later. I used to go to Barberino Pontiac for my prior Nissan Xterra. The service was always the same - it completely sucked! They harassed me every visit because my air bag light was continually illuminated. It turned out there was a problem and it was recalled. After fixing and inspecting the new air bag sensor, I totalled the Xterra and the air bags NEVER deployed anyway! I drive 55 miles to Groton for any and every issue and oil change I have with my Xterra because they are FABULOUS! They are consistent! It is always PERFECT! Kevin Yakusewich and his team are just the friendliest, most professional, courteous group of representatives I have ever experienced in 50 years of purchasing cars!THANK YOU!

The people there were very nice to deal with, both on the phone and in person. The work done (new transmission) seems to be very good so far. My only issue was that they never returned a call whenever I followed up on the part (which took 3 weeks to come in). I know the part availability was not their fault, but I would have like a call back at least once.

I was told the service would take about an hour to an hour and ten minutes and the service was done in that time frame so I was very happy with that. I got a free car cleaning out of the service so that was also a great thing. The customer service was great I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Then back at the dealership we changed our decision once the floor model was seen(2.5 Special Edition). We negotiated the trade in (2004 Camrey) and price. Decided on our financing with the business manager - Patrick even called my Insurance Co. for new insurance cards. I have "Never" had this done for me at any dealership. Don't waste your time on girard Nissan. Not only did they completely take advantage of us when we were buying our 2011 Nissan sentra sr, but the customer service is the worst I have ever seen from any dealership. There was a scratch on the front of our BRAND NEW car and we were told they'd fix it. Did they? Of course not. The price of the car and the gap insurance was outrageous, they don't work with you at all, and good luck trying to get your gap refund! We have been trying for almost two months now to get our refund and they refuse to return our calls or answer any questions intelligently. There are other dealerships around the area, go to them instead.

Well I arrived earleier that my appointment, and Kevin took me right in, within 30 minutes my oil change was done, and very courteous he walked around to find me,which is a plus. Kevin explained my overall condition of the repairs, which was thorough, I stated I need to see someone in body shop for a warranty coverage of some paint problems. Kevin walked me over too body shop and introduced me to Dan, who was very cooperative, smiling and greeted me very nice, he was overall very concerned with my rpoblem, and immediatley consulted his manager Peter, who stated to me he would give me ample time to get the car back to them for paint work. I am very happy at this point Girard Nissan has went the extra mile to help me.

Later in the day, after taking my car in for this service, I was talking to my finance and telling about Kevin and what a wonderful job he did taking care of me. I was only scheduled for an oil change and had asked that a noise be checked out also. It ended up that I need a few things done and the time needed to do it would be later than I could get a ride back to pick up my car. Kevin offered to come and get me so that I did not have to reschedule, which he did. He picked me up at the end of the day. My car was all washed and ready to go! Kevin is a very knowledgeable and has a very good way that he communicates with customers that always makes them feel good!I have been coming to Girard Nissan for over 20 years now and have not had my cars serviced any where else. Richard has always taken good care of me throughout all of these years too. I may pay a little more for the service and parts but I come because I trust the work that is done there by all of the staff.Thank you very much.

At time of write up, I was given a prive for the oil change. I informed him I had a lifetime oil change program. Associate informed me that they discontinued the program. It would have been nice if someone informed me of this decision. I have been getting my vehicle serviced for 15 years now and now they decide to cancel program and not informing concumer. That is just a bad business practice and bad customer service.

We bought a used Hyundai Sonata from this dealer for a graduation present for our son...the price was fair & car was in good shape overall...went back next day to pick-up purchased vehicle & that is when the problems start...First off the dealer is 1 1/2 hours each way away from our house... during dealer 'prep" of the car for us to pick up, someone dropped some kind of heavy tool on hood leaving a large scratch with paint missing...they act evasive about this when we show up to pick up car...come on...its so obvious its not even funny....finally they agree to have their body shop repaint the hood, but we have to come back in a few days to do it, along with plan on leaving the car with them for a day & half. Agree to give son a "rental" to use while they fix vehicle...fair enough......start driving "new" vehicle home & it starts to make a "nails on chalkboard" type of screeching noise that could be heard from car following "new" car home...continue on, as car does have a 60 day warranty plus it has to go back anyway in a day for hood repair...Son drops car off back at dealer...tell them about noise & please fix it along with the hood...given car rental...with NO GAS...plus the rental has body damage, bullet holes, etc in car...son brings all this to their attention....they reluctantly put 10.00 of gas into car & tell him no problem about damage to car..they know about it....no worries...I think all this over in my head & say hmmm 10.00 in gas is not quite fair as we live so far away & damage to car & noise is not our fault....so I call General manager, he agrees that 10.00 not enough...OK's putting enough gas in car to get it back to them & bring receipt...he will reimburse...fair enough...Day & half later, son calls to check on car & can we pick up...answer is sure...no problem, but we hear no screeching noise..?????...are u kidding???....I call them back & talk to service manager & tell him the noise is there PLUS when u feel the back drivers side rotor its hot to touch, while others are not...root of problem must be there....son had told them the same thing when he dropped off car....says he going to personally take car for ride...calls me back & says he hears nothing...they tell son to come pick up car...Son gets to dealer, to pick up his car....gives them the rental with some gas still in it...they look at car and ask him if he damaged the car...REALLY??? you don't remember that you just said you know about damage & leave with car a day ago??...sons frustrated of course....hopes car noise had just gone away...hood repaint looks good...gets on highway to come home...10 min into ride home the noise is back...he turns around & goes back....tells them to come out & feel the back rotor...its scalding hot!! hmmm they say...must be a problem there...HELLO??? no kidding....tell him they will go fix it...2 hrs later they come out & tell him they cant get part so he will have to leave car again until tomorrow at noon...hmmm...great....go to get him the rental he brought back....come back & ask him where it is because they cant find it...are you serious???....scramble to find obviously the crappiest rental on property...car wont even start & they want to "jump" start it & send him on his way...he tells them no I am not risking driving that home so far away when it wont even start for you....where is car I just brought back 2 hours ago????...they finally found it...he gets ready to depart & gets in & all the gas in the car is now gone....imagine that...goes in & says are you kidding...the car is on "e" again...I just brought this back with gas...they tell him just take it & bring receipts back for gas to get it back to them...Noon the next day...no call from dealer saying car ready...son calls...they tell him they didn't have his phone #....really now...its on all the paperwork & he gave it to them like 5 times....ok but service manager not available....he will have to call you back later...great...wait for the call....finally car is done....son makes trip back to get car....tries to give them receipts for the 30.00 in gas he had to put in...they refuse & tell him 20.00 is what he gets....take that or take nothing & leave...By this time he is so frustrated he calls me at work & asks me what to do....I tell him take the $20.00 & get your car & GET OUT of there...they are so not worth trying to argue with at that point & we will deal with it later somehow...he tells me to hold on & I hear him ask them, wait are you now laughing at me??? I can hear them in the background chuckling & saying oh no......I again tell him to get the car & get out....NEVER EVER would I recommend this dealer to anyone....I find this whole experience appalling to say the least

My car is 6 months old 6,500 miles. Starting from the last month I hear a vibration under the hood like a metal part is loose. I wanted this to be checked for the safety of my car and a long life (Purchasing price 30,500 dollars). That is why I called Bob last week for an appointment. He was nice with me and told me to bring the car for a checkup on Saturday which is my day off. I asked him if I needed to call the service department to be aware of this appointment, but Bob said "you don't have to, just bring the car at 8:00 am". I did so, but Richard said that he got no idea of this appointment but he will try to have his guys take a look and drive the car. I told him that is better that I drive the car with the guy myself to show him the noise (vibration), but Richard didn't agree with this. I left the car for inspection and got another vehicle from Girard. After two hours Richard called me to tell me that his guy drove the car EVERYWERE even on the highway, but he didn't hear any noise or vibration. He told me to take the car home and come back on the next week to drive the car with his people and show them the problem. I went back and switched cars loosing all my day off for nothing. It was better for me if Richard was honest with me that morning to tell me that he got no qualified people and to bring the car other day, so I didn't have to sacrifice my day off.Regards,Gjergji Karanxha

I love the vehicle I purchased. The car was washed, however the engine was not cleaned. I did not get an oil change, according to the sticker I will be due soon. They just received the 2008 Kia Sportage as a trade in over the weekend. I did get a good value on the trade in. I had sentimental value on my vehicle I trade in (2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette Premiere Van) that I had grown to love and thought someone else would feel the same as I did. I would recommend buying a vehicle from them again. I felt listened to and that was important to me.

Chris was great to deal with. We never felt pressured by him. He was not pushy at all and answered all of our questions when we first met him at the dealership. I purhased my 1999 Maxima new from Girard Nissan. With 232,000 miles on it, it has had occasion for service. My Service Adviser, Richard, has been my adviser from the very beginning. His knowledge, experience, and integrity have been outstanding! He listens to my issues, and recommends the work which needs attention, without being aggressive, or pushy. The staff at Girard Nissan were extreamly helpful and friendly.We were actually in Florida when Bob called and offered us a super deal on the new Maxima. We leased our first Maxima three years ago and just love the car it is sporty yet roomy and comfortable. We had no problems with that car and believe that will be the case for our new one, The sales staff explained how all the fetures of our new car worked and even set up our bluetooth for us. They were extremly efficient when we came to pick up the new car the whole process took less than an hour. Bernie did offer also to come to our house and program the garage door opener for us if we had any difficulty.I would reccomend to anyone to go by and visit the staff at Girard Nissan it will be a very rewarding experience and you may even purchase a new car, I would certainly reccomend it.Sincerely,Anthony Cerase

Ever since I bought my 2010 Nissan Pathfinder from Girard Nissan, I've taken it in for the regularly scheduled maintenance requirements and complimentary ones as well. They have always been courteous, taken the time to answer all my questions, friendly presentation interacting with me. They provide accurate information when answering my questions. They are very courteous over the phone also. My car is always returned running very smoothly, feeling "brand new" again. It is quite the drive for me, however it is worth it. I would DEFINITELY recommend Girard Nissan. I love my Pathfinder!

I had an emergent repair needed on my brake system for my 2005 Nissan Altima SE and needed it done the same day due to needing to drive up to Providence to catch my flight for business reasons. I brought the car in first thing that morning and Chuck got it right in and assessed the problem. They had an issue with parts availability and the nearest parts were in Manchester, about an hour away. Rick, who is the Service Manager, drove up to Manchester and back in order to get the parts quickly and promptly. He delivered the parts to Chuck, who had already prepped the car to save time, and he repaired the brake system along with doing a complete 4 wheel brake job and a brake flush.I was back on the road by 12:30pm and made it to my flight up in Providence with no problems.As I have said in the past, it is service and quality of work such as this that makes dealerships like Girard Nissan stand out from others. I sincerely appreciate all the work that Rick, Chuck and Kevin did for me that day and this is one of the many reasons I only have my car serviced at Girard. It has been going there for 7 years for service and has 133,000 miles and still going strong.

I had an excellent experience purchasing a new 2012 Nissan Murano SL at Girard Nissan and I am loving my vehicle. Both Sales persons (Bernie) and manager (George) were very courteous, friendly and professional. They made my purchasing a pleasant experience and particularly, Bernie was knowledgeable and understood my need. I had just 'OK' experience with the Finance consultant (Mike) who sold me an extended warranty that was not backed by Nissan. He did not provide right information about the Nissan-baked extended warranty. He denied, Girard Nissan deals with Nissan's Security +Plus extended Warranty.

From the start finding the car on the internet, the contact with Mark was friendly andhelpful and the transition to James on the sales floor was seamless,James went out of his way to show us the Murano and its features,with all of this having to take place over a few days as we had to coodinate both my wifes and my work schedules.George who was handling the financing was also extremely helpful and friendly and was able to get us the best loan and payment I feel was possible for both us and the dealership. Richard of Nissan Service Dept. in Groton was very informative and made sure I was aware of the condition of my car after it was serviced/checked. He made me aware of the fact that the car's alignment was (altered) out of alignment- via- hitting a curb which I remembered. I wanted to get back to Glastonbury to continue helping my daughter-- and hesitated on making an app't. for the repair.Richard, after checking with the service team which could put 2 men on the alignment and tire rotation, made the alignment happen, immediately and quickly, so that I could return to my daughter's within a reasonable timeOf course, the amount/cost of this service appointment was more than I excepted but then the work was done within the same day appointment. This is not entirely about my recent visit with them but my dealings with them overall. I had thought my dealings with Girard Nissan had been great until I began to be bilked by them. I put $30K cash down on my vehilce. At 1st the service appeared to be great then at every oil change it seemed they found something they had to "quote" or "repair" on my vehicle. True I am a woman but I'm an experienced driver (driving since I was 15, no accidents until I was 34 & I wasn't at fault) & owned all my vehicles except this one outright. 1st tune-up, $710 paid! 2nd Tune up, $710 paid! The bilking began with my tires. Only Toyo & only 2 offerings for my vehicle, $2K paid! Then my 1st brake job, quoted $600 but paid $800+! On an oil change they noticed a "scratch" (actually paint transfer)on the rear quarter panel and without prompting gave me a quote of $1100 for "repair" and repainting. I buffed out the scratch without having to repaint it myself for $5! Then on another oil change I was told that my calipers were shot and needed to be replaced to the tune of $680! I didn't believe them and took my truck to my usual mechanic and he said the calipers were fine, clean and pushed back without resistance or corrosion & he replaced my new Toyo tires bought online for $700 for set of 4! Then to test Girard I put an item in my front passenger seat that I knew would set off the air-bag light. I was due for an oil-change so I took it to them and they came back with what I thought it would be diagnosed as but in the interim they checked those "bad" calipers and ended up breaking the ABS sensor off. The nerve of them to have called me, told me what THEY had done and then expected ME to either pay up front for the replacement part or come and take my truck until I would pay for the replacement part at $190 plus labor costs! I told my mechanic and he was appalled that they were going to have me drive my vehicle with an ABS sensor missing as it would have thrown off the other 3 and I would have been in real danger as well as having to pay for major repairs IF I didn't kill myself and others 1st! I called back and demanded that since they admitted they broke the sensor that they replace it at no cost to me and since I didn't authorize them to even look at that "issue" they better do as I asked ASAP! They did it and that was the last time I took my vehicle to them until I needed my CVT fluid drained and filled (which only they can do apparently) nearly a year later! Also 2 days before the vehicle started making a revving noise and I told them exactly what it was also. It was the wheel hub assembly on the front passenger side and my mechanic said the parts were Nissan only, no aftermarket offerings. Girard charged me $108 to diagnose which I had already had diagnosed and informed them of. Them $203 for the parts, $400 for the labor and they forgot about my CVT fluid change because they had bigger fish to fry and more money to get out of me with the wheel hub assembly issue! I had to remind them about the CVT fluid change when I brought it back to them for the wheel hub assembly repair. The only reason m,y mechanic didn't do it is because after Girard got their greedy little hands on the vehicle they charged me the $108 already and I was going to have to pay it so I figured just let them do the repair & I thought the quote had included the CVT fluid change because that's what I originally went in there for. That wasn't the case, the CVT fluid change was an additional $229! They also "quoted" me about $1700 additional things on my vehicle, none of them major mechanical issues and none of them issues my master mechanic of 40 years couldn't handle at his shop! Oh yeah, he quoted me $467 for the same job with the unavoidable $203 parts and the labor! I am appalled at Girard Nissan! I take care of my vehicle and I do the routine repairs and I trust that when I go to them that they are upfront and honest about what needs to be done to my vehicle but they haven't been! My original service person was Don but since he left I have been bilked over and over again. There is no telling what "repairs" I've paid for that I didn't need since his departure! I will never buy another vehicle from them nor will I have my vehicle serviced by them unless absolutely necessary!

Very professional. I've been using Girard Nissan for 2 years now. The service has been wonderful. They've been helping me maintain my car in shipshape. They even arrange for my pick-drop on the day I leave my car with them for servicing. Recently, I had to change my fuel-tank door. They did not have the part handy, but they could give me an exact date when I could bring my car to get it fixed in just 15 minutes flat. The speed at which they got that done was amazing.

Great customer service!!! Robbie Tasca, Patric Saad and Mike Wilson were very friendly and made purchasing our Nissan very easy. They took the time to go over all the features in the car so we knew how everything worked. They went over the different warranty packages and helped us pick one that worked best for us. My husband and I went to Girard Nissan on a Monday night after 6 p.m. Bernie Loubier was very helpful and willing to stay late taking us for a test drive and then speaking with us after the test drive. I went back on Tuesday night and spoke with Bernie once again. We came to an agreement on both the trade in of my car and the purchase of a new Nissan. They took care of getting a pay-off on my trade-in as well as contacting my insurance company and getting me coverage on the new car. Bernie explained all of the options in the car and their use. We had a very favorable experience with Girard Nissan.

My experiences prior to this last visit was horrible. I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and they said they would get one of their "great technicians" on my issue. You telling me you don't have all great technicians? It took two tries for them to fix the issue and then I go get an oil change and the person wasn't much help at all. This past time I went, I had great service versus that last two times (which is why I gave mostly good feedback). He knew I was waiting and they did my oil change, tire rotation, and washed and vacuumed my car, on top of having to pay less than what was quoted. I kind of feel the only reason they went above and beyond this time around was because I did the personal survey their dealership sent out because it was ironically after my other experiences and before this one. If the other dealership was closer, I would go there but if they give this great service next time, I will consider going back.

As always, it was a pleasure to have my 2005 Nissan Altima serviced at this dealership. I had to have my two belts replaced and it was done expeditiously. After the work was done, they washed my car for me which was great as it really needed it.I have come to realize that my Altima has been running great and has close to 130,000 for one reason and that is the outstanding work done by Chuck who is my service technician. I called my Nissan dealership to schedule a routine oil change on my Nissan Rogue. The customer service was great and did accomodate my schedule. I arrived the day of my routine maintenance and was greeted very kindly by one of the customer service representatives. The day I arrived, was only 2 days after Hurricane Irene had slammed into Connecticut and I had asked if they had coffee. I was curtiously directed to the area that they had for a cup. I sat in the waiting area and was able to watch a bit of television, seeing how I had not see that for several days as well. It was approximately 1/2 later and Richard approached me to tell me that my cas had been serviced and if I had the time they would wash my vehicle for me. This was also no cost to me.The customer serive, service team and everyone that I spoke to at this dealership always have a smile and are wonderful. As long as I was having the front bumper repaired from an accident in a parking lot, I also had some other ding and scrapes repaired.Emil and Keith were friendly and quick and took care of everything with the insurance company. They also provided a free loaner car for three days!The repair work was excellent. The car looked brand new.I will definitely return to Girard Nissan for any future body repair work.

I had a great experience with this dealership. Walked in expecting to talk about financing for a 370z and walked out owning a brand new Altima Coupe 3.5 SR. They effectively made me realize that being in CT I would rather had a FWD for my daily driver with all of the snow that we get. Financing came through in 15 minutes with 0% APR. The whole process took about two and a half hours and a majority of that included the extensive test drive that I took. I sat down with the dealer and went through every detail of the car and he answered any and all questions that I had. The dealer picked me up from work the next day and took me to the dealership to pick up my new car. Great experience. Very quick and painless.

Service of personnel at desk was great. Only had one problem. Getting the shuttle. Had expected to ride on the 7:45am one and requested it. Sat and waited until 8:10am and decided to check on where it was. I was advised the shuttle driver was sent to the DMV and nobody informed the service desk personnel. They got another man to drive me to work. I had an 8AM merchant meeting which I never got to. Next time I will remember to schedule my service visit on a morning when I don't have a committment to anything, but get to my store before opening time. Thanks. Sara Munro

Brought my car in for its normal oil change along with the recommended fuel injection cleaning service. As always both Kevin and Chuck were outstanding. Chuck also let me know of some upcoming repairs that will be needed which included my belts and my brakes. It is not necessary to have these done now because if anyone is familiar with brakes, they are not cheap especially when it comes to getting rotors. The one disadvantage to Altima's is that they do go through rotors but that is just the nature of the beast with owning any type of car but at least Chuck gave me a heads up on it so I can start putting money aside to get these things done. I trust no other person to work on my car and that is Chuck. As I have said before in my reviews, he has been the only technician in the past close to 6 years and my car runs like it is brand new. A big thanks goes out to Chuck for his professionalism and his high standards of work. Thank you also to Kevin in Service who always does his best to ensure everything is done and takes care of me with my service bill. Girard Nissan is top notch and all of the employees there are great. I highly recommend everyone to get their cars there.

My husband and I took our vehicle to this dealership to find out what was wrong with the car. It had a recall on it that the dealership refused to admit even existed. Both a family friend and my father in law are mechanics....they know about recalls. So the dealership decided to give us a list of things that needed fixed. Some probably do. Then they told us that to get my car running again they would have to replace a part that we had literaly just put in the car two days before and what they wanted to charge was insane. We decided to have a friend fix the car. Well when I got in the car we were missing a fairly large sum of money. I called the manager to have it rectified and he pretty much called me a liar. Fine you don't want to replace the money that's one thing. You call your customer dishonest when you have a worker who is a thief....that's just unintelligent. I told the manager as much before hanging up on his monotone about not knowing what we did or didn't have in our car and trusting his workers bla bla bla. These people are crooks. My mistake for being too trusting....their mistake for continuing to have a thief working for them. We won't be going back to this dealership for quite a few reasons.

I had done my research online so I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and how much it should cost.Girard met my price.Girard had the car ready that day. I had never purchased a car at this dealership before.When I went to the dealer I figured that there was a 50% chance that the dealer would meet the price on the car we wanted. Girard came through.They were really fair and honest. They treated us well. I would buy another car at this dealership based on this experience. I have worked with dealers and dealerships that I would not return to. I would recommend this dealership highly although I did go in to the dealership knowing exactly what I wanted and how much I wanted to pay for it.

Customer Service: They anticipated my needs, not just did what I asked (which is all I wanted), and definitely didn't just do whatever they wanted to do, disregarding what I'd asked. Example: I had my engine replaced, and they inspected the car not just for things they might do to gain themselves more work, but they inspected things that have made me get rid of used cars before - rust in nooks & crannies, looked at suspension issues particular to my vehicle, etc. I found this extremely helpful, especially since it wasn't just done to maximize their bill. Quality of Work: We discussed the details of the engine swap and related work, like new spark plugs and how the threaded holes looked, thermostat, etc. These were the kinds of things I'd do if I were doing the job myself. Friendliness: I don't personally care about friendliness; I want them to work on my car like a serious professional and I don't need them to pretend to be my friend. Still, it's nice to be friendly with people, and these people (all of them, from the manager to the cashier) were professional and friendly. They could even be a dealership in the south (where people usually ARE friendly) and fit right in. Overall experience: Not sure what this means, but I figure it means that there was no reason to think I'd go elsewhere next time. I trust these people and so I figure that is close enough to saying that their overall score is great. Price: An engine replacement is not a simple job; I've usually done them for my own cars, because of our budget. The price is not something that's easy to compare. They worked with me to make the price very reasonable, so I can only describe what they came up with as great.

My Service Engine Soon (SES) light illuminated on my dashboard Sunday evening while driving so I took my car in first thing Monday morning to have it checked. I usually have Chuck look at my car as he is really the only one I like working on my car since he has been for over the past 5 years but he was out that day so Kevin had Rich get the car in and hook it up to the computer to find out what was causing the problem. Kevin came and got me in the waiting room and brought me out to Rich to explain the problem to me. Rich was very thorough in explaining to me that it was a problem with the Throttle Body and that he recommended not to drive the car because of safety reasons. Of course, I trust the judgement of any of the service technicians at Girard so I made arrangements with Kevin to have the car kept at the dealership. Kevin informed me that he would have the part shipped overnight and could do the work first thing Tuesday morning. Kevin explained the breakdown of the costs and even though it was a bit expensive I knew it was the best option because I do not want to be driving an unsafe car. Kevin immediately contacted Enterprise Rental and made arrangements for a car for me to have while the car was waiting to be worked on. The following day, Tuesday, Kevin called me around 11:00am and informed me the car was repaired and ready for pick up. I arrived at the dealership after returning the rental car and found out that Chuck, who was out on Monday, did the work on the car that Tuesday. Even though Rich diagnosed the problem and I had no problem with Rich working on the car, they knew that Chuck is the one that usually does all the work on my car and I greatly appreciate them doing that for me but like I said I would not have mind if Rich did the work as he is one of their Master Technicians and after talking to him that Monday I had no doubts in my mind. The technicians at Girard are top notch and professional. I would not even think of having my car serviced anywhere else. I spoke with Chuck about the work that was done on the car and as always was very thorough. These guys are the unsung heroes and I just want to personally thank Chuck and Rich for what they did to diagnose and fix the problem on my Nissan Altima. My Altima is a 2005 V-6 SE with over 123,000 miles and still runs like it is brand new and the reason for it running so well is because of the guys like Chuck and Rich. I did want to send a personal thank you out to Tara who works in Customer Support, she is the one that takes my money...LOL, just kidding. She always has a smile on her face and very peronable, it is people like Tara also that make it a pleasure to bring my car there even for my routine oil changes. Thank you again to Kevin, Chuck, Rich and Tara, you have a great team there at Girard!!!Sincerely,Tom

From the first time I contacted Girard Nissan, I was treated very well. Richard was friendly and helpful and made me feel comfortable. Richard told me he had to check on ordering parts and would call me back. I was contacted very shortly afterwords and an appointment was set up for the next week.I brought my car in at the appointed time. The work was written up and I left the car. The car is running as expected.I am pleased with the service I received and I would recommend Girard Nissan to others.

to whom it may concern:Richard Girard, our mechanic, sorry, we forgot the name, were all very professional, they were very happy to explain everything in detail. Richard took us out to see the progress while parts were awaiting arrival, where we met our mechanic & he explained & was very confident in what he was doing which put us at ease. They also went to the extreme to make sure we weren't inconvenieced, seeing we both needed transportation for work, to provide us with a nice car for the week. When I brought my car in, I had my twin 4 month olds with me. Everyone made sure that the service was done quickly so that I wouldn't have to wait too long. They were also excited to see the babies and checked on me frequently. When it was time to leave, the manager followed me out to make sure I could get the stroller and car seats back in (despite the high winds).

Ryan explained everything that he was doing to fix my problem about a light not going off and causing me to fail emissions testing. I feel that he was honest with me and trustworthy. I have had a very hard time with other dealerships. He told me about two other problems and I told him I would be back when my income tax check comes in and that should be next week.

This is my 4th Nissan, need I say more The cars run great have great sound systems, handle well on the road and my new Versa gets great mileage. There was a different salesman for each car but they all were professional and I felt they gave me a good deal. As far as service goes, Richard takes good care of me! Thanks!

Customer Service: This received this rating due to the fact I needed to return to the dealership for owners manuals etc. Also for the fact I was the one who had to take the car to get gas and then return the next day for reimbursement. I also was never shown nothing more than how to start and stop the the motor of the car, and how to open the fuel fore before being sent on my way.Quality of work received a rating of n/a due to the fact the reason for visit was for a new car purchase and no one touched the car.Friendliness: The dealer and manager were nice, including the gut who helped me the next day in helping setup my ipod and cell phone to the car. The finance manager I over herd yelling and using foul language to someone on his personal cell phone. This made me nervous when I had to sit down with him to go over the final cost.Overall Experience: My overall experience was not a great one. This answer is partially based on the previous response to the questions on this survey. I also base this answer on the appearance of the facilities, which I found to be badly maintained, missing lights, leaking ceilings, and a lot not treated for ice conditions when there was abundant ice.Price: The price was ok based on brand and features. I felt way too much pressure on purchasing things including etching and tire packages, when i told the finance officer that I was not interested in those things, nor was anything ever etched on to the car.I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I recommend this dealership learn some customer service skills. If not I hope that Nissan will no longer allow this dealership to sell their products. Furthermore I find their sales ethics unacceptable.

Everything was fine, regarding my car. I had the oil changed and car waxed. The only problem was the loaner car - when I got on the highway, I saw that the gas gauge was below empty. I held my breath until I was able to find a gas station in Mystic, but then was unable to open the gas cap compartment. Pulling up on the knob did not release the cover. I had no tools, so just tried to pop the cover with my bare hand, to no avail. I called the body shop and they sent a mechanic over. He was able to pop the cover with a screwdriver, so I put in 4 gallons and was on my way. This has no bearing on the service on my car - I got my oil change and a beautiful wax job. But it was a bit scary, driving on I-95 with no gas. I figured I must be driving on fumes - that gas gauge was way below "E" - a first-time experience for me and I hope the last.

I bought my car from this dealership back in 2005 and have been bringing it there for every service which includes oil changes and the normal interval services such as the 30,000 miles along with having my fuel injectors cleaned once every 20,000 miles or so. I always have the best service and there is only one service technician that I will allow to work on my car and that is Chuck. He has worked on my car since day 1 and keeps my car running in top shape. My car has just gone over 120,000 miles and it runs like a champ and that is all because of Chuck and the great team at Girard Nissan. Of course I have had a few things go wrong on the car that have cost me some money but in the long run, it just means my car will last that much longer and it sure does beat having to make a car payment every month. Thank you again to the entire team at Girard Nissan!!!

Price: a little steep for labor, again much more that actual parts----BUT I realize that you pay for quality work---I do enjoy my visits to the service department as well as the sales dept.--which hopefully I will not need to visit for some time.Visiting with Wafic is always a pleasure.

I have been having my car serviced at Girard Nissan for a couple years now, usually only for an oil change or tire rotation, due to the convenience. After having heard a thumping noise in my wheel for the past few weeks, I just asked them to take a look at it. An HOUR later, and $100 later, they told me it was a wheel bearing, which I pretty much suspected. They then wanted to charge me close to $500 to have it repaired, and told me that I should not drive the car. They could clearly see I was in tears, but didn't care. They already ripped me off for $100, now they wanted to rip me off for another $500. They see a single mom with a small child as prey that they can easily try to swindle. As soon as I got my keys back from them, I promptly took my car over to TK's Custom Auto in New London and he fixed my wheel for half the price. I only wish I would've taken my car there in the first place as they would've quickly seen the problem and not charge me an arm and a leg for it. Stay away from ANY of the Girard/Antonino dealerships!

GOD-AWFUL DEALERSHIP!!! The sales people are all great until you start having issues with your brand-new vehicle - which you probably will (then you have to deal with the idiotic service desk). Bought two Nissans in just over a year - had to trade-in first Nissan b/c of MANY, MANY issues (had purchased brand-new w/ less than 10 miles on odometer), got a "better", newer version of same car thinking it was just bad luck w/ the first - now has a completely different set of issues that NO ONE WILL HELP ME WITH!!! I've already had the newer car in the shop more than 4 times for various reasons. The people DON'T take your complaints seriously, as a matter of fact, I called the dealership today to speak w/ my salesman (Mike) and he answered the phone, I asked to speak w/ "Mike", he replied that Mike wasn't working today. I said "Who's this? This sounds a lot like Mike" (I know his voice, I've dealt w/ him plenty of times) and he proceeded to hang up on me. When I called back to speak with the manager I was told he wasn't working as well, then I asked for a different saleman by name, was told that he ALSO was not working...load of crap. These things are only the tip of the iceberg, I'm so irritated I can't even see straight. Please don't give this dealership a CENT of your money, they are NOT trustworthy & won't want anything to do with you if you EVER have an issue - they also love to rip you off.
