I had my car towed to your facility Gossett Motor on 1901 Covington Pike Friday 8-12-16 for a gear shift replacement. I was called by Eric Wright on Monday 8-16-16 around 4:30 PM stating my car is ready for pick up; on the way Eric called back and stated he didnt have the keys to my car. He stated the tech who worked on my car went home sick and he couldnt locate my keys; I advised Eric I have my spare key with me Im on the way to pick up my car. Upon my arrival Eric went to the service lot to retrieve my car for me he returned and stated someone has broken in your car; I went to the location and observed my driver side window knock out and my Pioneer Radio snatch out along with damage to my drunk where someone entered and stole my 500 piece Craftsman set of tools. I asked Eric will I be reimbursed for the damage to my car he stated no you have to file the claim on your insurance. I stated my car was brought to you in good faith of it being taken care of, Eric stated we have had several break ins on this lot. I know you have insurance for situation like this; Dodge is a $100 million company. I called the police to file a report it took them exactly 1hour and 27 minutes to respond after I called them a second time. I asked Eric could someone clean the glass out of the car for me; he stated the service center is closed there is no one here. Eric departed property when the police showed up leaving me to clean the broken glass from my window and interior. After filing the police report departed property mad as xxxx, I stopped at the service station on the way home to get gas; my car would not come out of park I was stuck at the service station with the same problem I brought my car to the service center for repair. I used my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and pulled my car back to my house. I had no way earlier knowing my car was not working properly because I had wait on the police to take finger prints therefor I didnt touch anything.

I went to purchase a use 2014 Impala and after find that the radio screen had a few issues I decided on a used 2011 BMW that was priced at 24K which is right at KBB value. The sales people assured me that it had a full service check and there were no issues. I bought the car 11 days ago and have drove between 250 & 300 miles. The CAR NOT LONGER DRIVES. Last night I was driving home from work and a message appeared on the screen saying "drive moderately, Drive train malfunction seek service" I was on Walnut Grove by the agricenter so I figured since I live about 5 miles away I'd drive it home and get in looked at in the morning about half mile later all the instruments and headlight went off and the screen flashed what I believe to had said EDC malfunction before it went dark. The car then would not drive over 35 miles per hour. I took it to a BMW dealer to have it looked at and in need over 4k in repairs. GOSSETT assured me that it pass a complete service test and won't need any repairs until the next schedule maintenance. When I told Gossett of this they basically told me good luck

I Would Not let these people fix my bike. My husband brought his car up here to get a gas leak fixed they fixed it after a week of having his car(and that was with an appt.) pick up his car just so it can sound worse then it did when he dropped it off. They claim they'll look at it again. It was better this time when we pick it up but now after about a month its leaking gas again. Its almost like they don't know what there doing or they just like billing our warranty company.

I scheduled a service appointment for Tuesday morning and was told for three days running that it was in line for diagnostic...by Thursday I was assured that it was going on the next day for sure. I had no response Friday or Saturday, and when I called Monday I was told unapologetically that it's about a week's wait to have your car diagnosed. This is of course absurd: I called Wolfchase Chrysler that morning and had assurance that they would look at it the next morning. I don't know what the situation is, but the expectation that a week without a diagnostic is not something you need to mention to a client is ridiculous.

I was lied to about a vehicle I drove 11 1/2 hrs for and was told oh well... tough luck it's used after being lied to over the phone by DAVID KIRBY. Still done nothing to make up for it I had cash in hand for selected vehicle as well... never ever deal with these crooks

I bought a Passat from their Germantown location a few years ago and the experience was horrible to say the least. The car, fortunately, was great. Against my better judgement, I called their Covington Pike location about a vehicle they had advertised and was given a price over the phone. It was an untitled 2013 VW with a few hundred miles on it and the price they quoted was rock bottom and what I considered to be an excellent deal. I went to the dealership, and after over an hour was told that the vehicle had actually been titled (still the same number of miles on it) and that the person who had bought it had immediately traded it back in, so the price was now $3,000 higher. So, in essence, they had the vehicle titled to avoid having to give the $3,000 discount they were advertising on untitled 2013's. Spoke with the sales manager, who appeared apathetic to say the least. Stay away from this dealership. They are the epitome of the classic swindling car dealer. I have been to two other VW dealers out of state and the difference in how the customer is treated is night and day. They really couldn't care less about the customer at Gossett. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WAS NOT AN OPTION HERE TO SELECT VW AS THE MAKE OF THE VEHICLE, SO I SELECTED CHRYSLER.

I went in yesterday,3/13/15, to look at a used Chrysler Town and Country van. When Kevin Hardin, the salesman, came to show me the minivan hey said the had replaced the tires and brakes. We took it on a test drive. It drove well, had been well taken care of, and we started talking about a price. We got within a few hundred dollars so I thought we would be able to come to a agreement. I took it home to show my wife. We began to test all of the options out and realized the DVD player was not working. On my way back to the dealership the brakes, that were supposed to be new, started grinding. When I got back to the dealership I mentioned the problems I had found. They said they would fix it no problem. The manager, Larry, said usually they replace the brakes on every vehicle, and no work had been performed on the brakes of the minivan. I went back up there today to try to finalize the deal , and I was told new brake pads and roaters had been installed on the minivan. They also said they did not have the money to fix the DVD player. I was going to ask for a price reduction when We began to talk about the price. However they had a piece of paper with a price on it, that was not the price we agreed too. They are hoping the next customer that comes in to by the minivan will not notice the DVD player doesn't work. There was numerous other things they lied about, but I didn't want to go on and on. The point is, they lie, they deceive, and they will do the same to you.

They spot deal. .. which means you can drive the car home today, and think you got a new car when 5 days or 10 days later, they call you to bring back car cause they couldn't get a deal done,, when before left the dealer, I was told... are you sure you want this truck, as soon as you leave , you can't have remorse and bring truck back,,, then when you put down cash,, they will not give you cash back,, they will give you a check,,, read the warnings,, Stay away from all Gossett dealers,, they are crooks..

I went to purchase a vehicle at Gossett Motors because someone work there that I know and though that I would get a good deal and treated with much more respect then I received. I saw the car that I wanted on line so I had the person that worked there to check it out to make sure that it was a great car and deal. I spoke with Mr. Wenzel and Booby Johnson before I got there and they gave me a different price on the car of when I got there. I explain to them that I was coming from Hattiesburg, MS and I wanted everything ready when I got there. Of course that wasn't the case. I went at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning left out of there at 5:00 p.m. They did not have anything ready. Bobby Johnson was the rudest person I have ever meet. I was treading my car off they did not get the exact pay off on the car I was treading in so therefore I had to pay more money on my car. They told me that I had to pat that amount before They would pay the remainder I paid that amount two weeks ago they still haven't paid off my car which made me may even more to this day they still haven't paid the balance and I am still accumulating interest. I am having to pay on both vehicles. When they did the contract it was finance through a company that that will not answer the lines when I called them. I had to look up the number on the internet because the information on the contract gave me the finance company's name but had Gossett Motors phone number there instead of the finance company. That through up a red flag then. I called Mr. More and explain to him about it he stated "WOW" it doesn't have there number it has our number". Like he didn't know. Gossett Motors is a scam. That was the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I really, really hate that I went there. When Bobby Johnson came to explain things to you he would talk in a manner that showed that he just wanted to make the deal he did not care about your concerns at all. I thought several times that I shouldn't buy the car but I didn't want to do that because of the other associate that I knew, didn't want any problems with that person's job but there was a problem anyway. I wished that would have done my research before going there as you can see there ratings is well below the average consumer. I advise everyone to stay away. I should have know from some of the comments that I was hearing in waiting area of the service department that they were not the one's to purchase a car from. I have purchased 15 cars in my life time and this was the very worst experience ever.

Lead on for days with no word back on a vehicles availability only to find out on two separate occasions that the vehicle has been sold. Wasted time on filling out financial applications to find them never received or miss managed. Had to go through hoops and bounds to find and talk to the same person to get on the same page. Overall very poor. Do your business somewhere else.

We were traveling and experienced auto problems on the highway. We contacted another dealer first who referred us to Gossett because we were closer to them. We promptly drove there and explained our situation, 800 miles from home and 700 more miles to destination. Mike was very friendly and accommodating and did all he could to see if we could get repair. No loaner cars were left and we had nowhere to go. We waited in the lounge of the dealership to receive diagnosis. Our truck had a bad wheel hub and O2 sensor. Parts were available and they did their best to repair and get us on the highway. A courtesy driver took us to get something to eat and sit at Wendy's for a bit, then picked us up. Shortly before closing our truck was completed and we were able to go. Thank you Mike, and all who worked to make this a timely repair for us while out of state.

DO NOT ORDER PARTS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! They do not care if you receive it or not. The first time they sent the part to the wrong place, the 2nd time I have not received it all Mike keeps saying is that the delivery service has not called him back. He did not care that my vehicle has been in the repair shop for two weeks waiting on this part. 10/23/2013 Thanks, Anna

I have no idea what to say here other than do not go to Gossett Motors in Memphis, TN. Their sales persons do not listen to customers wants or needs at all. They show you vehicles they want you to see and not what you want to see. They have a bad way of not holding onto customers personal information. In a 1 month time span I had to give them all of my personal information no less than 4 times. This was everything from my pay stubs to my social security number.

Given a quote over email for 2012 Mazda3 Hatchback. Within an hour of receiving the email I went to the dealership. We seemed to be working towards a deal when they came back with an offer 3K more than what was emailed."A mistake" Just brutal. Wasted 2 and half hours with them. Not really sure why they even wasted their own time. Sales guy was nice at outset and then just turned a switch and became a prick. He knew I wasn't going to play the game of going back and forth so I just left.Like the other reviewers say- in Memphis and looking for a Mazda go to Gwatney. They treated me first class and are an example of how to run a dealership. I didn't even buy a car from them (different make), but I just want people to know to stay away from Gossett Mazda.

My husband and I recently went to Gossett to look at a Mazda5 we saw online for $15,976. We went, test drove the van and fell in love with it.. it was exactly what I was wanting. When we went in to do paperwork, they brought us a sheet to sign that said we agreed on the price of $19,988. Confused, I asked why it was different, the salesman went to "find out". They changed it and we proceeded with paperwork. We were told that we needed at the very least $1000 down and possibly a co-signer because neither of us has any credit... then that story changed and it was that if we put money down, we could get it without a co-signer. We left that night worried and troubled with the task ahead of us but were at least happy that we had found a vehicle that fit our budget... that lasted just a little while... the next afternoon a gentleman by the name of Kenny called us and in a very quick tongued salesman slur went through TONS of information about the details of the sale and how he would put $40 bucks down of his own money to hold the car because he didnt want us to "lose the sale".. classic sales line thats so lame and such a cliche. He proceeded to tell us that they were "gifting" us an APR of 24.39% which I knew instantly was CRAP. We had been told already that our payments would be between $222 and $260 a month... so when fast talking Kenny said "$460 something a month" we naturally were completely shocked and confused... he told us the intrest and the price of the car and that there would be "$2000 of taxes, fees, title, tags and stuff" added to it... Im no mathmetician but Im good enough in math to know that doesnt end up being the $32,000 he was coming up with... I immediately called Jenifer back and told her my issues with this obvious "scam" seeming situation and was assured someone would call me back shortly.. 2 hours later I called her back and with a very rude tone she brushed me off and said she would talk to him.. I said "no, I want him to call me and I want to speak to him myself".. she agreed but never returned my call. So the next day at lunch my husband and I went to speak with him ourselves. We were told to talk to a Jim Coffer because Kenny was not in the office. I sat down with Jim and showed him the math that I had done and was told that he "admired the way my mind thought and worked but that he didnt understand how they got their numbers because their million dollar computer system came up with it all" ... that was a complete crock of you know what.. this outdated 1980 looking system was a simple system that they punch numbers into... I asked where the mysterious $10,000 add on came from and was quickly told it was part of the APR or the warranty... I quickly explained to him that A) the APR wouldnt add $10,000 on top of what was already added for it and previously shown to us and B) that the sticker on the car said "as is no warranty".. he then tried to tell me that we were being charged for the factory warranty that COMES WITH THE CAR... NO WARRANTY IS TEN GRAND!.. I asked for him to give it to me in writing and he quickly fumbled and mumbled his way through some excuse of why they couldnt give me it in writing... so I then knew it was a lie... I asked for a print out of the estimated prices of each charge on the deal. He then turned his screen to me and said that I could write it myself but he couldnt print it out... I asked him if he couldnt push "print screen" and give me that instead.. I was then given another stutter filled excuse and then he quickly moved on to the next topic... he told me that the computer comes up with the percentage of APR and that I wouldnt get a different one anywhere nor a better price... especially with us trying to establish credit... during all this, our sales woman Jenifer came in and asked what was wrong, My husband looked up at her (obviously upset) and instead of good customer service and trying to fix a problem, she said "whats the problem? why you lookin at me like that?"... unacceptable! Every single item that we inquired about, we got some beat around the bush excuse and we constantly felt as though we were being ripped off and scammed... Luckily my boss told us who to go to... we went to Gwatney Mazda on Winchester road in Memphis... and let me just say, THAT is where you should go to get a car.. they are professional, nice, polite and HONEST. No scams, no BS, no crap... they were polite and upfront with everything and provided documentation of everything BEFORE we even asked... I really hope people read this and change where they go for a car/truck/van... Gossett will rip you off and they are the stereotype "car salesmen" we all fear as hard working individuals on a budget.. its a bunch of vultures out for a buck.. Gwatney was amazing and was just genuinely there to help us get the best deal for our family. Oh and if anyone at Gossett reads this... not only did I get a better APR rate.. it was 10.29% LESS at Gwatney... oh and I got a BRAND SPANKIN NEW/NEVER BEEN DRIVEN MAZDA5 WITH 2 MILES ON IT for $14,000 LESS .. verses your used 30,000 mile mazda5 for $32,000... I will NEVER shop at Gossett again... I will tell every single soul I meet thats looking for a car to steer clear of this scam running operation... if you need a new car/truck/van and want a good deal with great customer service, unlimited car washes, road side assistance for free and a great experience, go to GWATNEY Mazda on Winchester. If you want to be ripped off and drained of your hard earned money... go to Gossett... The ONLY good thing about our visit to Gossett was Michael Blackmon... he was nice... but thats the ONLY good thing.

we came in to look at a new Audi. he was helpful and answered all of our questions. he let us leave without any pressure. we returned a week or so later after deciding on the Audi, and after a few mintutes discussing the price and our trade, purchased an Audi A6 from them. it was late so we returned that weekend and were given a thorough walk thru of the features and they detailed the car as well. overall we were quite satisfied with the experience and would recommend them to any who asked. they were quite professional and very straightforward on the price, we actually paid a little less than we though we would for the car. My wife and I thought iot would be helpful for those looking to to see more than one review,as we ran across this site while doing research, and after our experience, thought it was not indicative of what one would expect in dealing with this dealer.

Spent over 50K on a new Porsche. Delivered car and our sales person couldnt even explain any parts of the car. What we know we have learned by trail and error. Cheap operation, go to Nashville or Jackson to buy. They have actual sales people who know what they are selling.Having to get Porsche North America involved over a simple warranty issue.
