I always enjoy the time I spend at Great Lakes. I went in to renew a lease and left making a new friend. I had know of Mr Morris for some time since I have been buying cars there foe awhile know, this being my fourth. I don't know what else to say that I have not expressed the past. This hands down the best dealership I have ever been to. It seems that the experience gets better and better every time. It really does. From the service dept to parts to the excellent sales staff you are all the best. It is so nice to see the same familiar faces when you go in, it makes you feel comfortable. It really does. Nice experience buying our first used car. The sales person was friendly and even though I was buying the car (to replace a car that had been totaled), he 'sold' the car to the primary driver, my son. They bonded over the car...it was fun to watch.I also decided to give the service department a try and had an oil change done on my car a couple days later. The service people were very nice and my car was finished quickly. Keep in mind it's faster to get your car serviced during the week vs the weekend. When we were there on Saturday to purchase the used car, the service department was mobbed.

Monday morning I made an appointment through Scheduling for a mid morning appointment the next day. My intent was to get an oil change and a wheel alignment. Kathy Epling checked me in and filled out the initial paperwork. She noted that the car had not had its 30K mile service yet and offered to add that onto what I came in for. She offered me a loaner so I could continue on with my day rather than wait for the extra service to be done. I declined the offer and will schedule an additional appointment next month. Following the service folks doing their multi-point inspection, Kathy advised that the car's battery was near the end of its life, so with winter close at hand I had a new battery installed.When the work was completed Kathy gave me my invoice, took me to the cashier and advise where the car was. Before checking out I stopped at Parts to purchase touch up paint. The Cashier finished the financial transaction and also made a copy of the Wheel Alighment data for my records.The Dealership was busy that morning. I was out in less that two hours with a clean car. The employees I dealt with were pleasant and efficient.

This past weekend my wife and I drove to Great Lakes Honda in Akron, Ohio. We were going just to look and had no intentions to purchase a car. Upon arriving we were warmly meet by a sales associate, Jim Soukup, Immediately we felt at home and could not get over how pleasant and courteous Jim acted, not just from the start but the entire time we were with him. We were looking for a used Honda Civic and Jim immediately starting asking us questions about what we wanted, not what he wanted to see us. Yes, what we wanted. He put together a nice chart and we outlined our criteria. Rather than walk the large lot we worked inside and found three cars that we liked. Jim went out on the lot and brought us the one that exactly meet our needs and specific requirements. He got dealerships service records and the current car fax. The records were something other dealers never thought we needed to see. We went out on a test ride, came back and asked if he would wait while we drove it ourselves. We did and returned. He had everything outlined for us on a worksheet when we returned, it was obvious his choice of cars is exactly what we were looking. We sat and agreed upon his price, and from that point he got us through finance. While that was taking place he got the car ready for us. Washed, detailed and gassed up. Never once did Jim pressure us, push us or act like we needed to move faster than we were going. Our experience with Jim Soukup and Great Lakes Honda was a one of a kind purchasing experience. Jim made it clear from the start that his goal was to help us purchase the best car based on our needs, not sell us what a lot of others try to do. Go and see Jim Soukup we will recommended our friends and family. The process was extremely streamlined........ Thanks Jim

Victor was so helpful and thorough in his explanation of all the "gadgets." He helped me set up blue tooth and was very polite and considerate. Xavier was also very helpful in going over the financial details. I absolutely love, love my new Honda! Of course, it's a Honda, so how could you not??!The dealership was clean and sparkling. I'm also so happy that I can take it in for a free wash anytime, that's just great! I started out online with an inquiry, came in the next day and drove out with my new Civic. I'm received numerous compliments on it - especially the color (Crimson Pearl). It drives like a dream and I feel extremely safe in it. This was a painless experience. I've had my other Honda, a 2002, for 9 years and passed on to my daughter, who had her own Civic since 2004. My stepson has a Honda Accord. We are definitely a Honda family!! There was really no other choice for me. Thanks again for all the help!

I recently stopped in Great Lakes Honda to look at an Odyssey. We have owned many other Honda vehicles. The salesman worked with us on price then the General Manager got involved in the negotiations. When we told him that we were unsure and wanted to think about the offer, he told us to think about it and email him any questions. The next day, I did email him and then he passed me off to another manager, who told me that they would be nowhere close to the deal we had discussed. I had informed the General Manager that the experience had been a complete waste of time and inquired if the offer was ever valid. Below was part of his response: I have no intentions of wasting any customers time walking through our doors. With that in mind I ask of you to bring me your best deal from another dealership in writing. Typically I will beat that by $500. Given what you've expressed I will increase that to $1000 better than any other Honda store in NE Ohio. So, apparently they do not care about the customer experience and want all potential shoppers to get a price elsewhere and they will take off an extra $1,000. Though, I wouldnt bet on this based on my experience. I recommend go spend your money at another dealership.

Ed Bell at Great Lakes Honda not only helped me once but twice at this dealership within just a couple of months. He didn't seem like he was just in it for the money or that it was his job but actually cared to help me out in every way I needed. Received the recent Great Lakes Honda Upgrade letter outlining Mfg and Dealer discounts on an Accord LX. After test drive, salesperson offered only a portion stated in the letter, and never checked on a veteran discount I requested. As expected, they kept the letter when I produced it. After we bought the car, the finance part was a breeze and everyone at the dealership was genuinely happy for our purchase. Since the vehicle we purchased had a scratch on the bumper, Great Lakes promised to repair it. They didn't just have a spot repair, they took off the whole bumper and had it professionally repainted. It looks amazing! Robert in the service department was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. I was a customer of Mike Pruitt Honda and had heard the Great Lakes was a dealership that cared and wanted to maintain Mike Pruitt's client base. After receiving a mailer in regards to my current vehicle, I thought I would contact Great Lakes. I'm not always able to take calls and often do business via text or email. I emailed Great Lakes not once, not twice, buy a total of 3 times within 4 days. I received confirmation emails each time but NEVER received an email, or any other contact. I was inquiring about a new vehicle and thought they might like a sale. To this day, 3 weeks later, I have heard nothing. I'm disappointed!

On 4-23-15 I took in my 2014 Honda Civic for a noise under the front hood, a rattling type noise that would start around 60mph. I asked them to go with me on a drive so they could hear the noise and instead they put the car up on the rack. They then told me the noise was because the tires needed rotating, which I told them to do. Immediately after the "repair" I drove the car home and the noise was still there and the check tire pressure light came on. A few days later I took the car back with the same complaint and this time they drove it and heard the noise. They put it on the rack and saw that a pan under the oil filter was loose. They replaced it for $20 and offered me $65 credit for the unnecessary tire rotation. When i asked why the mechanic didn't see the loose pan 4 days ago, the answer was we don't know. I declined the $65 credit because why would I take the car to a place that screwed up so badly in the first place. Do not take your car here for service

I purchased a used Honda Odyessy. We had a few minor repairs that needed to be taken care of. The sales staff and service department went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. They went over and above and even performed a service that wasn't promised to us. This was an "as is" vehicle so they definitely didn't have to do that. I had an appointment to view,test drive, and possibly purchase a vehicle. I confirmed the appointment yesterday for 11:30 with the salesperson. I was told that it was his day off and to ask for this other salesperson and everything was setup for me to come in at 11:30. I called the other salesperson This morning before my 45 mile / 50 minute drive. Again I was told everything was fine and told her to send me a price quote on the Honda touring model to go along with the Honda accord model v6 e x l that they had sent me previously with there best price guarantee. I met my wife after work and we made it to the dealership about 10 minutes early. The dealership was nice and I was greeted promptly. We were introduced and seated by the salesperson. The salesperson wanted to know if we were ready to test drive and we said yes. She said there is only one problem, they didn't have either model I was interested in. I told her I was upset and why would they not told me upfront that they didn't have either model. My time is valuable as I have little time off. I told her wakiem quoted me approx 1000 lower on price. She said no way could match or beat that price and recommend that my wife and I go to wakiem to purchase our vehicle. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. What a very terrible experience, I won't be back. I am not sure if they just didn't want to deal with an educated buyer or what? Based on my experience, this is not a way any customer or even yourself wanted to be treated! Good luck with your business, you are going to need it unless the way you treat customers change. I politely told them how disappointed and upset I was and left. I am looking to buy elsewhere and went to another dealership that cares how they treat their customers. In today's economy you can't miss a deal, each one is important. Based on this experience, you might want to make some changes in training,and teach your employees that above all else, being truthful and upfront, great customer service and word of mouth will sell more cars than advertising. I plan on letting everyone I know about my poor experience with your the Mike Pruitt Honda dealership.

This is the third Honda I have leased from Mike Pruitt, so I feel like I am dealing with "family" rather than a group of strangers. Buying or leasing a vehicle can be very stressful and I have experienced that with previous purchases from other dealers, that is not the case with this purchase. I was informed of each document I needed to sign and what it represented by both Lynn & Tom, and the process moved along smoothly during a busy time in the showroom. Most people including my wife and I consider buying cars as somewhat stressful as it rates 2nd to buying a house. Anytime you're spending a considerable amount of money. Janice and I for the first time in our lives decided to our two vehicles at the same time. We had narrowed the brand we were going to buy down to two, either a Honda or a Toyota. I wanted a coupe or sports edition and Janice wanted a sedan, so we were looking at the Honda Accord Sedan EXL and Coupe and the Toyota Camry XLE and SE. I ultimately went for the Honda Accord Coupe and my wife initially was going to get the Toyota Camry XLE, however Toyota had to order the vehicle since they had none on their lot that matched what she wanted on the car. While we were dealing for my Honda Accord Coupe, the service we were getting from Ed Bell and getting the opportunity to meet Jason, Marvin, Jacob, Dave G., Tom Brown and Justin Miller my wife was starting to reconsidered her decision. Ultimately my wife reconsidered and we came home with the Accord Sedan EXL this evening. She reconsidered because of the people working at the dealership and the service we were getting from Ed and others. So give all your staff at Mike Pruitt Honda a big slap on the back and an atta boy because they are the reason we bought both cars from your dealership. Ed Bell was a great sales person and it was a pleasure dealing with him.

My younger daughter leased a new Honda Crosstour a few months ago, trading in her leased Accord. No other local dealership could match the Pruitt deal. From the time we walked into the dealership to the time we left, we had excellent service. Marcus came in on his day off to work with us and we test drove two vehicles before I decided on the vehicle we ended up purchasing. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He did not try to talk us into any additional options or an upgrade. He was very pleasant and personable. The paperwork we signed did not take long at all. We have purchased from two other local Honda dealerships in the past and this was by far the best experience I have had. I have been in the market for a new car for months. I am very passionate about automobiles and have been in the tire industry for over 3 years. After doing a lot of research and visiting the Cleveland auto show, I knew that the newly designed 2013 Honda accord sport is for me. My only dilemma was what Honda dealership do I want to make my purchase at? I went onto autotrader and submitted some information on what I was looking for. These names came to mind: Mike Pruitt, Classic, Park, and Jay. I've been to Park Honda before and felt their customer service was not at the level I expected, they were out. I've spoke to Jay Honda and they seemed very nice and customer oriented, however they are located in Bedford. I live in Cuyahoga Falls and drive pass Mike Pruitt on Route 8 almost everyday and they were the first people to send me an e-mail asking for my business. Many of my own friends and customers purchased vehicles from Mike Pruitt and I've only heard good things. The first response shows that they are ambitious and really want to earn my business.This was the obvious dealer to visit first. I came in on a weekday and they were slow. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked for the sales person that emailed me. He greeted me and remembered the e-mail. We went for a test drive and it was everything I had expected. I would return on Saturday to make the "deal". I got a great price and a fair value for my trade in, but the friendliness and personability of the staff is what sealed the deal. They earned my business and me as a customer. I want to thank Marvin Maffett for his persistance and service.

I was called dude and or man no less than twelve times in a three sentence interaction. The used car manager made it a major point to point in my direction and advise his team that " He is just here for service". My wife an I are buying a used crosstour from another dealership this afternoon. It is unfortunate that the service department is as good as they are. When I was searching for quotes on internet I found a car I like at MPH page, the quote I was given was reasonable and when I arrived the price was honored, Marcus had everything ready at time agreed upon and the car was set up for a test drive. In November we had bought two used cars from Lynn. Sadly, my Civic had been totaled by the end of January. The day we were clear to replace the car we called Lynn. That afternoon, she had two comparable cars for us to look at, and we had found one listed on their website. We were in and out rather quickly even with the added difficulty of gap insurance claims and totaled cars. We dealt with Marcus Morris and he did not pressure us in anyway, no hassles and was very helpful when I asked questions he answered all of them with no problem. I didnt have enough money to pay my bill, which was embarrassing to say the least. While my mind was racing about who to call to bring me a few dollars, the cashier took my bill to one of the service techs who adjusted it with no question asked. Last month we purchased a 2013 Honda Accord. Carey and Marcus were extremely helpful on both of our visits and was very knowledgable on all questions we asked! Unfortunately, we were involved in a car accident 30 days after purchasing the vehicle. Marcus was extrmemely helpful when we returned, and even assisted in faxing our information to the insurance company! My daughter now owns my 2003 Honda Accord, which is regularly serviced at Mike Pruitt Honda. They are always extremely helpful and willing to do extra to find the problem and get it resolved quickly. The lobby has free popcorn, coffee, and donuts, along with a television and newspapers to help make the wait go more quickly. I have never gone to another dealer / mechanic and probably never will!

Craig Moreland was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. I was worried about certain issues with my car, but the service department took care of them without "taking me to the cleaners". This is the second car my wife and I have brought to M.P. for service. Overall, we've been very satisfied with the work.

Kathy was waiting for me when I arrived and is always top notch. I have been bringing my 2001 Odyssey there for service since I bought it new in August of 2001. I have had 90% good experiences and ALL good since you moved to the newest location! I called about 10 minutes before arriving to see if they could do an oil change and replace a burned out headlight. They got me in and out in less than an hour with no previous appointment!

My guess is that most, if not all of the reviews on this page were written by the dealership. The service here was sub-par and the staff refused to help me when my car died 6 days after purchase. Be leary if shopping here

My experience at Mike Pruitt Honda was great. The employees were very welcoming they called me by name which made me very comfortable. I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment time and was taken care of without delay. My van was ready in less time than anticipated. I really enjoyed my experience buying our new Odyssey at Mike Pruitt. When shopping online they were the first to respond and offered the best deal. The best part of the experience was the speed in which they worked. They realize the customers time is very valuable and Maurice Browder was a very easy sales person to work with. I went to the dealership with an auto in mind that I saw on line at cars.com. I called ahead to schedule an appointment. The car I was considering was ready for me to look at and test drive. The salesman met me with a smile and answers to my questions. when it came time for financing they were polite, and took less time than I had anticipated. I felt at ease every step of the way.
