I had stopped at H & N just to "take a look" last April & I ended up doing a test drive of a van. I did not end up buying at that time but I was so impressed with Jeff Mahrt & his patience of helping me, a customer not really out to buy. Last week my husband & I decided it was time to get a new vehicle & I knew instantly who I was going to first. I contacted Jeff the next day & after many calls & texts I found my van. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. Karen Adams was also very helpful with the loan/paperwork process. Thanks so much for your patience & help. I'll certainly be back again.

This was my first time purchasing a vehicle through H & N Chevrolet. Verdon Schmidt, sales consultant, and Karen Adams, finance manager, made the process very enjoyable. Verdon took the time to go over every button and feature my Chevy Equinox offers. The hands-on tutorial I received from him was "priceless." Verdon told me to call or stop by anytime I had a question about my car and he meant it. I have had questions and he has taken the time out of his schedule to assist me. I also want to thank Karen for assisting me with my financing options. She processed my paperwork in a timely manner and found me a low interest rate. If you're in the market for a new/used vehicle I would highly recommend H & N.

It started out as a quick swing through the lot while out for a drive on a beautiful Fall evening,.. "Just for a Look". Little did I know that evening, I'd be sitting in my new car a couple days later with VerDon Schmidt as he explains all the bells and whistles. VerDon made it easy from the start. He had the car waiting for me when I got to the lot for my test drive and gave me a quick run down and off I went. A half hour later, I was sitting at his desk making arrangements to make her mine. I felt comfortable with the whole process. Karen was terrific with the contracts and making sure I was aware of all my options with the purchase. What a nice surprise this will be to the kids tonight! Thank you again VerDon for making this Fun!

This is the second vehicle we've purchased from H&N and we have been very pleased with the dealership. About 4 years ago we bought a 2005 Suburban. This time we purchased a 2011 Malibu. Jeff Mahrt was our salesperson both times and we have found him to be very helpful. In both cases we knew pretty much exactly what we were looking for & never did he try to route us toward something else. He is knowledgeable in all of the technical and mechanical areas, but if there is something he doesn't know -- he doesn't try to BS his way through it. He will find out and get back to you. We also found the financing process to be very simple and straight forward. There are always lots of options when you're finishing the sale and they explain all of the options but no strong pressure for things you don't want.

The sales people we dealt with were very patient. We didn't know what we wanted and they explained the options on several different cars. After the sale they spent several hours explaining all of the options on our car.

This is our second vehicle we have gotten from H & N Chevy, and we couldn't be happier. Chuck Rabel and Karen Adams, are why we have returned and will continue to return in the future. Chuck makes it his priority to be available at our convenience, he listens and makes it his personal goal to provide a product with all of our wants and needs. We just traded in our 2012 Equinox for a brand new Equinox, our 2012 model had some collision problems, Karen called our insurance agency for us, set up all the proper paperwork arranged for our vehicle to come in and get pictures while Chuck made it a point to stand and visit with me about my new vehicle while the mechanics did their job. I always felt like I was getting the best service, that they were always going over and beyond to make us happy. The day we got the new vehicle Chuck made sure we understood everything, and when my phone was taking longer than normal to sync to the vehicle, he called me next day to make sure everything converted over correctly, and to make sure I was happy. I always feel like I am in good hands with Chuck, which is a very assuring thing when it comes to your vehicle. I would highly recommend H&N to buy your new, or used vehicle, but to get the best experience, request Chuck.

I have been involved in or purchasing myself both new and used cars from H and N. I have found both the care before and after the sale the best. I would highly compliment VerDon on his knowledge of the vehicles and both care during the sale and afterwards. He spent time making sure we knew how features work and setting our preferences with us. He even contacted us afterwards to ask if we had further questions about our car. H&N was terrific to work with! Jeff went out of his way to get the information I needed and ultimately made it worth the trip from Des Moines. The buying process was very efficient thanks to Jeff and Karen who helped arrange financing and paperwork. They took the time to interact with our young kids, which also helped the process immensely. What a great experience!

I recently purchased a 2013 Buick Enclave from Verdon Schmidt at H and N Chevy in Spencer, IA. I received outstanding service from Verdon from the moment I spoke to him as to what I wanted and needed in a vehicle. Buying a new car can be intimidating but Verdon made it very easy from the very beginning. I was extremely pleased with the quickness of the delivery from the time I ordered, to receiving it. Verdon was extremely helpful in teaching me how to use my new vehicle as it has so many "bells and whistles". This is the third vehicle that I have purchased from Verdon at H & N and will continue to do so in the future. The service department is fabulous and does a great job! I LOVE MY NEW ENCLAVE!!!

I searched everywhere for the care I wanted in the Des Moines area. The dealers were unwilling to negotiate. Chuck was honest, upfront and even held the vehicle for me until I was able to go to Spencer to look at it. This was my first time purchasing a new car, and my experience at H & N with Chuck Rabel and Karen Adams was stellar. I have a new car that I absolutely LOVE and felt like I was treated with respect and genuine kindness throughout the process! As a recent college graduate who will be starting a new job about six hours away from home, I was in the market for a reliable new car. My previous car simply wasnt going to cut it for long road trips, especially after hitting a deer. From my initial phone conversation with Chuck to the time of purchasing my car, I was thoroughly impressed with his honesty, accountability, and knowledge. This was not the case with many other salespeople at other dealerships that I spoke with. I must also commend Karen for her excellent and efficient work in researching and assisting me with my financing options. I was a unique customer since I needed my new car very quickly, and Chuck went to work right away to accommodate my schedule. For anyone in the market for a new vehicle, I would HIGHLY recommend working with Chuck and Karen at H & N in Spencer, Iowa. Chuck and Karen are the best. Chuck is very accommodating, responsive to all questions and displays the ability to flex to meet with you anytime. He is honest, easy to talk to and respectful. We really trust Chuck when buying a car ----& that brings us to H & N at a time when there is so much competition online and in the area. Karen is so knowledgeable about all aspects of the financing/paperwork when buying a car. She is thorough, demonstrating such great attention to detail. We really appreciate her so much. Having chosen and purchased all my own vehicles since I was 19 years old (I'm a 'girl' over 60 now) bringing in a whomping total of 15 cars in that time period. Chuck at H & N Chev/Buick, you made this purchase the very best I've ever made. You made everything with the transaction go smoothly and handled it with great expertise. The car was spotless, freshly serviced, a full tank of gas (bonus!!), all functions of the vehicle were carefully explained and all the people in the office were very helpful, friendly and fun. Your follow up calls to make sure everything went well were much appreciated. If you never sell another car, you've sold me on the great Customer Service you provided. Fabulous job - from the Manager of Administration in Customer Service at the largest railroad in the US. 5 Stars Chuck!

I was shopping for a car for my parents. Chuck responded to my internet query the next morning, and showed patience when it took us a few days to determine if this was in fact the best car for us. Once we agreed to a price, he arranged to deliver it to my parents, even though it was outside his typical delivery area. Chuck made buying the car a great experience. He treated us with honesty, courtesy, and respect. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

My wife and I had been looking for a used suburban for a while. Upon being completely let down and frustrated by many dealers in the Twin Cities, we expanded our search to a farther distance. By doing so, we found the exact suburban we had been searching for. The problem was that it was located in Spencer, IA.5 hours away from us. Nevertheless, I inquired about the vehicle online and was immediately responded to by Chuck Rabel of H&N Chevy. Chuck was extremely responsive throughout the entire process whether it was by phone or email. Needless to say, we were still skeptical of transacting such a large purchase essentially online. However, after Chuck went the extra mile to take close-up photos of the vehicle to ease our mind, we drove down a few days later to consummate the deal. As we had hoped, everything was exactly as we were promised. And at a time when it is all too rare in this world, it was refreshing to work with people who honor their word. Chuck and Karen Adams (the finance manager) exceeded our highest expectations. The icing on the cake was Chuck call the following morning to make sure we made it home safe, and that the suburban performed to our liking. While we are pleased with our new SUV, we were amazed by Chuck, Karen and H&N!! In fact, my wife and I agreed that the next GM vehicle we buy will be well worth a trip to Spencer, IA. In summary, you would be crazy not to call Chuck Rabel (even if he is 3.5 hours away from you)!!

H&N surpassed my car-buying expectations. The level of service, dedication,and friendlienss demonstrated was unexpected. I felt like top priority, even though I was buying an older used car. Responses to phone calls and emails were fast; they answered or looked into every question I had. Definitely an impressive dealership and a great atmosphere!
