My experience at Habberstad was terrible. I wanted to purchase a CPO MINI and thought I'd found exactly what I wanted at their dealership. I contacted them and Megan responded, initially helpful. The inventory listings on cars at this dealership's website are unusually redundant and confusing (listing and re-listing what comes standard on the car as well as the packages already installed) but I wanted to be certain that there was no misunderstanding so I asked specifically by email if the options like, heated seats, premium harmon karmon sound system and others (all advertised as on the car) were actually IN the car. She kept assuring me that they were. However, none of the pictures of the vehicle had any indication that this was true. In the meantime we had agreed to a price and my husband and I had a certified check from the bank made out to these guys, and we made plans to drive to Habberstad from CT where we live. However, I had checked out other MINI Dealer sites and saw that listings for CPO cars were MUCH clearer and that cars claiming to have certain options SHOWED them in photographs. That was it. I asked Megan to please send me a verification that the options advertised were actually on the car -- take a photograph and text it to me -- anything to show that my anxiety was unfounded. She sent me instead a window sticker that clearly was not the vehicle we had been discussing. As I said in my last email to her,"This is not the car we've been discussing and not the car I'm planning to buy... I hope it's a simple mistake...but it feels like bait and switch and I don't like it." Needless to say I never heard from her again. Several others from her dealership have reached out to clear up the "possible misrepresentation," but not a word from Megan. I felt betrayed and angryhowever, another dealer with an even better MINI called me that morning and I explained what had happened --long story short, he had the exact same car, and trusting him, we drove 4 hours down to Maryland. I just purchased my second Mini from Habberstad in Huntington Station. Megan was super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and what she didnt know she found out right away. I didnt feel pressured at all (like other dealers) and she made me feel very comfortable with her and the whole experience. I had a few little issues that she really bent over backwards to help me with, and everything turned out perfectly! Love that girl and my Mini! ?

We had been looking for a new car for my use, and had narrowed it down to three popular makes that fit my needs. After some time spent searching, the MINI Cooper Hardtop was the final choice for its size, style and the way it handled on the road. We worked with Megan Kowal, and quite frankly had the most pleasant experience ever on a purchase such as this. Not only could she answer my every question, but there was no pressure at all, unlike some sales people. We had to delay finalizing the deal because of a trip, but when we returned to the dealership, was completely sure that this car was exactly what I wanted. Megan was very knowledgeable about all the final procedures and ton of paperwork that had to be done, and even checked to make sure that we were given the advantage of the latest pricing available. We were impressed with her attitude and appreciated her interest in doing her best for us. We will most certainly return to Habberstad in the future, specifically to Megan for her assistance, and highly recommend her to others.

I scheduled my appointment for Saturday morning at 8 AM and due to other last minute obligations had to re-schedule for later in the morning. No problem and I received an email confirming the revised appointment. When I brought car in they took my "key" and inserted it into a computer which downloaded data permitting an analysis of what needed to be done. A full explanation was provided me and they managed my expectations very well. The car was ready an hour before it was promised and was washed at no cost to me. Welcome to 2016!

Professional and courteous from start to finish, when my salesperson Mark was off, another person stepped in to help and when I ran into one problem after another on my end, they were patient and understanding. I HATE car salesmen ...almost always sleazy and dishonest but not at this dealership! Everyone was so nice from the front desk to Delivery! This is a letter I wrote to the GM. No response.Dear sir,My name is Christopher I am quite upset with your service managers and service. I am new to town. From Richmond,Va. I had just brought my mini in for a cracked thermostat housing. I was quoted 1400$ for the repair. Multiple issues were found one covered under warranty. The other are not. According to the technician hoses were found buldging. I was never contacted in regard to this. 310$ cost of hoses.525 in labor. A coolant flush. Is free in Richmond after talking with the service manager there. Whom maintains my car. Charged. 75$ for coolant exchange. Seriously? My professional background as an aircraft mechanic leads me to understand how these systems work.I feel I was taken advantage of. As I can see on Facebook and other social media sites I chose the wrong dealership to work on my car. I will be addressing this sites to voice my complaint to others. I should not have had to pay for work I did not authorize! In a final statement. I had to call the dealership to find out my car was ready. What kind of place are you running? Your service manager Tracey has no knowledge of the cars she supports. Doesn't know exact pricing. Or how to price a quote! Nor does she contact her clients after she is made aware of other issues. She was more concerned in getting my approval for a timing chain. I know the labor and cost involved in that issue it will not be done by your operation. It wasn't even needed! Again I'm very furious. I will be making a statement to other in regard to this matter with pictures of the original quote and final services. The service team lead by Tracey Geraci was as friendly and helpful as all of my previous service visits. Since i purchased my Mini I have spent much time driving loaners from the dealer because the motor hasn't run smoothly for more than a couple weeks at a time. Sputtering, stalling, service engine light goes on has been the recurring theme of my visits. With only 33,000 miles on my 2013 Mini...on my April 18th service visit the problem was supposed to be solved by replacing the air mass meter and throttle. Same problem occurred and I dropped car off May 5th. Again service people were both kind and accommodating. This time the problem was solved by replacing the fuel pump and injectors, I was informed this did not work. I finally picked up my Mini on June 14th and the problem has again been solved, this time the DME and engine wiring harness have been replaced. I am hoping this is it until my next oil change because even after all this I do love driving my Mini.

I recently purchased a Mini from Mark W. at Mini Habberstad Huntington. Mark was great in helping me find the perfect Mini within my price range. He was not pushing options that I didn't need. He was helpful, polite and very pleasant to work with. The sales atmosphere was relaxed and casual, and the car buying experience was smooth and hassle free. I was further impressed when I picked up my car, Mark went over every single detail of the car with me, from under the hood to the trunk and everything in between. He really helped me get to know the Mini and welcomed me back at anytime if I had any further questions. Amanda at the finance department was also very helpful in explaining all the warranty information and helping me figure out what would work best for me based on the kind of mileage I drive. All in all a great car buying experience! The Mini is an awesome, fun to drive, peppy little thing! I'm very happy with my purchase and my experiences with Mark W. and Mini Habberstad Huntington.

I love my Mini, George helped me and took every opportunity to exceed my expectations. I did have some minor issues with the car all of which where taking care of. I decided to have service address these minor issues and they not only fixed but took the time to check other aspects of the car and where able to replace some items of which where still under warranty. My car suddenly flashed the check engine light: oh no! was my first thought. The folks at Habberstad assured me i could get there no problem and use a loaner car. They fixed it within 24 hours and it turned out to be a bad spark plug. They changed all of the spark plugs and coils for free due to its being under the warranty: NICE!!!!! also equally nice: the loaner car: love the new 4 door mini, very cool car. Tracey and Oscar are super helpful and extremely nice. Great experience all around.Dr. G.

I love driving my Mini Cooper but the engine is a tough nut to crack...I have been in at least once a month for service light going on, sputtering, or stalling etc..for several months. Tracey and her service dept have been as helpful as possible and always very respectful to me. This past visit my car was there for 2.5 weeks...people have started to ask me if I sold my car..We have replaced so many things already in my 2013 Mini and it only has about 32,000 miles on it..this visit it was a chaffed wire. I can only hope that I can go 1000 miles without requiring a service visit, as much as I enjoy seeing Tracey and her staff. Because of my many visits etc., I was pleasantly surprised that the service dept did my alignment at no extra cost, this gesture of good will really helped reduce my frustration with my engine.

Went to Habberstad (from Connecticut) as they had great prices on their remaining 2015 Cooper S convertibles. Mark Wyatt was very helpful via email and on the phone before we went to see the cars, and was equally great to deal with when we actually went out to the dealership. Excellent experience all around and we left with a brand new Chilli Red Cooper S convertible.

I had a blow out on my countryman, but with the run flats I never felt it , only it was loud & my gadge let me know , I dropped it & was as always, taken care of promptly & was given a loaner , it was a only a few hours & the experience was great.. Again my service engine light came on, again my 2013 Mini Cooper was sputtering to a stop at traffic light, I joke with the service dept whenever i leave that I am certain I will see them the following month. As always the service dept under Tracey's direction was most respectful and concerned about my satisfaction. Oscar was a very helpful the morning i dropped my Cooper off. This had been a recurring mechanical problem so Tracey immediately contacted her supervisor to explain the urgency of trying to solve the issue. I was given a loaner as fast as possible. I was contacted when car repair was finished, it took a little longer than usual due to a part being ordered. My pick up was smooth and pleasant thanks to Tracey and her team.

Pro: When I first saw the MINI, many years ago, I fell in love. I enjoy and prefer leasing so after my first one, I just kept going. My most recent MINI is still the HT but wow is it different from the first one! While I have loved driving every one of them, this one has all the technology and it is such a beautiful, happy color too (Volcanic Orange). Jarred was just amazing to work with. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stick with the HT or try a new AWD Clubman (yet to be released) or something completely different and decided on the 2015 tripped out HT. Throughout the process, however, Jarred worked with me to really examine all of my options - inventory choice, build and purchase, etc. He spent a lot of time with me, let me test drive alternatives and, finally, we knew the right one for me. There are so many wonderful things I can say about Jarred and how wonderful he is - but I am already gushing! Bottom line, I LOVE driving this new MINI most of all and I truly enjoyed the process from start to finish because of Jarred. MINI plus Jarred equals cult following!Con: I felt it important to add this to my review. I was advised that MINI had an affiliation with Liberty Mutual Insurance and would I be interested in having them contact me and I said, yes. After speaking with a representative, I switched over to LM. Unfortunately, I had to file a claim soon after switching over. The experience with Liberty has been awful. Just my advice and opinion, but please do not insure your car with this company. Even though MINI sent them business, they told me to take my car out of the MINI service repair shop and have given me the run-around. A fairly minor repair (less than $2,000) has taken on a life of its own and it will be 2 weeks until I receive my car.

My experience with turning in my 2013 mini and leasing a new 2016 mini was easy, efficient, and painless. George moved quickly via emails (prior to me going in to the shop) and in person. He was personable, honest, punctual, organized, and prepared. He was clearly fluent with the new model and moved through the demo clearly and quickly, which I appreciated. The entire experience showed me that working with Mini yields a predictable sequence (this is my third lease with a mini cooper), which will increase the likelihood of me continuing to return to Habberstad Mini over other dealerships.

As always, everyone was super helpful and nice. From my phone call with Dolores to the fantastic service and treatment by Tracey and Oscar, it is always hassle free when I go in for service. Worst car I have ever owned! Didn't even make it to 100k milesAfter treating it with premium gasoline And mobile 1 it's entire short lived life!I emailed corporate and the dealership owner but no one wants to believe me;That the car drank too much oil! "That's normal" NO ITS NOT!!!!!!!!But at least I have an option now of never to get a Mini Again! Too bad cause I loved the look and drive of the car in the beginning! I didn't know it would cost a kings ransom to keep running! I feel cheated ! And apparently that's ok with Mini -After putting in over $10k to keep it Running I had to stop! But they got that last charge in for $173. To confirm it was a xxx and no longer drivable!

I have a 2013 hard top Cooper and love driving the car. The problem is the motor. At just 30,000 miles, a car I have driven since it was new, it seems I require service almost monthly. This time, my Valentine's visit, was for sputtering than stalling at red lights. Before i could call to make an appointment the oil warning light came on. This is most interesting since 1 week earlier I had my Cooper in on a Saturday for an oil change. The service dept lead by Tracey has treated me with respect and consideration on all my many visits. They provided me with a loaner and didn't hold me up at all upon drop off. I was called when my Cooper was ready, and pick up was smooth and timely. They explained the newest mechanical issues and how they were solved and what was replaced on this most recent of visits. I have to say in all my years of auto ownership I have never had this many mechanical problems with a car with so little miles on the motor. I use the best gas stations and the required gas. The motor has been a great disappointment, but i love how the car handles and it's performance on the road. Will and Oscar have also been great when I have gone to service dept on a Saturday, Tracey's day off. I wish the motor in my 2013 Mini Cooper was as wonderful as the Huntington Mini Service Dept.

I was at service dept Saturday morning with my 2013 Mini for an oil check, Will and Oscar asked me if they could keep car for an oil change for it was due very soon and therefore recommended. I told them I had an appointment in Hauppauge in the next hour, so they said no problem and gave me a loaner. I told them aprox what time I would be back and they called me to let me know when Mini was ready and let me know I had until closing so no rush to get back. I picked the Mini up later that day and all around service was excellent and smooth.

Ordered a Countryman direct from factory. Smooth process in terms of choosing options and Jarred was very knowledgeable and honest about which options were truly beneficial and those which were unnecessary. Also, I believe, was given a fair price. Delivery of vehicle took in total a little over 8 weeks (was given typical 6-8 week window) from order to actual pick up. Did notice it sat on dealer lot for about a week from actual delivery, but this was right during Christmas/New Year so understandable as to why. Overall a very positive experience.

Scheduled to have NYS Inspection done and was told that wheel alignment was also recommended and it would take about an hour and a half for everything. 5 hours and $314 later I was FINALLY able to get my car and go home. Horrible experience. Poor/unfriendly communication. Complete opposite from previous visit last month. Scared to go back for other services now and suffer the same experience all over again...

Tracy and Oscar were very friendly and accommodating. I had to bring my car in for a power train problem and Tracy also said it had a recall that they would fix. While there I mentioned a blue tooth issue and she made sure it was checked out. I received a loaner car and was on my way. Check in was very fast!The only thing I was disappointed in was my car was dirty when I picked it up. I went to a car wash after leaving.

What makes mini's service department different from the rest is some of the people who work there. More specifically William & Oscar. I have dealt with many dealership serive departments over the years and even with some of the other people at this particular one. The experience is always the same cliche... curt, borderline rude, charlatans. NOT the case when you are fortunate to work with William or Oscar. You realize within the first minute of interacting with them that you can trust them and they will go over and beyond to help you. Several times I found myself at the service department in a jam and William always went to great lengths to make sure I had a loaner car and that my mini was properly serviced even when there was no cost to me. Unfortunately I have had the exact opposite experience when he wasn't there and ironically even having a proper scheduled appointment. So the moral of the story is that people can make or break anything and if you have to service your Mini, ask for William and or Oscar!!!! They are the best.

After buying two Minis from them and having an engine rebuilt and a clutch replaced they are trying to nickel and dime me after a loaner car they gave me was damaged while I was parked. The story is a long one so I can't go into detail, but suffice it to say that they are not fans of ethics or simple business sense. I had some inexplicable sense of loyalty to them even though I suspected more than once that they were less than honest. I am now certain of the fact. Shame on me for ever trusting them, shame on them for being so slimy.The Minis are great, hopefully there are dealerships that match up with the car - Habberstad doesn't even come close! Buyer be definitely aware!

I would first like to say that the whole experience at Mini of Huntington was a pleasure! Nice greeting as we entered the dealership and were quickly introduced to the salesman George that was assigned to us. George answered all our questions very patiently and there were many! Explained the differences of all the Minis and guided us to the one he felt fit us the best without any pressure at all. Took the time to let us test drive 3 different Minis and did it with a smile! Never did we feel pressured to make a decision on that day but we were so anxious to make the deal there and then! I was dealing with 2 other Mini dealerships and there was no comparison to Huntington Mini. Of course our salesman George was fantastic but also the very easy hours they hold gave me many options to get to the dealership! The other Mini dealerships did not have that flexibility! Amanda in the finance department was also a pleasure explaining our payment options and also the different warranty plans available to us! And finally the day we picked up our Mini we were greeted and guided to a great waiting area with coffee options and a great T.V. To catch some scores while our plates were being put on the car. Our salesman George then sat in the car with us for almost an hour going over every gadget the Mini had to offer and there were many! Again the whole car buying experience was superb! Thx again George.

I brought my car in for an inspection and I was told that I had an oil leak. They immediately arranged a new appointment for me to come back and have the leak fixed. Since the repair would take approximately five hours, they gave me a loaner car. All of the work was done well. From the moment I called habberstad mini, I was treated with so much respect, clarity and patience. My sales guy, George, was very enthusiastic, efficient and straightforward. He let me test drive the car with my baby (he helped me put her baby seat in) and found me the car I wanted. The finance lady explained everything to me very clearly about warranty coverage and extra insurance options. It was organized and really an exceptional experience. this is the ONLY car buying experience I've had like this. Typically, I am not treated as a serious buyer or a person who knows anything about driving or cars. Thank you Mark for helping me make a decision on my third Mini Hardtop lease. Since it was the end of the 2015 model year, the specific car that I was interested in was hard to find. After having visited the stock of several dealers in the NYC Metro area, Mark showed me a couple of cars that were of interest on the Habberstad lot. Mark was transparent in the entire process from the moment I met him. As he knew I was having trouble making a decision (and traveling a distance to Habberstad) his followup was appropriate and without pressure. His pricing on the car was far better than any other dealer I had visited. On delivery day he spent close to two hours with me making sure the car was in perfect condition going over every item therein. He also immediately responded to a few post delivery questions as to how some options worked. Mark's prior experience in Mini service was very helpful as he was able to explain certain aspects of the car from a different perspective than most salespeople. Mark is also a nice guy.I also worked with Amanda (finance manager). She too was great. Given I wanted to minimize trips to the dealership we went over all paper work by phone so that all I had to do was sign on delivery day. Really made the process easy for me.

My 2003 Mini supposedly needed an inspection & repairs abounting to $4250. (with their so called generous discount). When I went to another, honest mechanic instead, I was charged $539. for the inspection and the necessary work . In addition, Habberstad quoted me a $160. diagnostic fee over the phone. After I gave them my credit card number, however, they changed the charge to $260. without telling me. Supposedly they needed to do more inspecting, which I truly doubt.. They won't change the charge unless I go back to them for repairs. Fat chance! They never told me about the extra $100 and just put the charge through. Finally, they said there was some confusion about my bill due to the death of a mechanic's wife. I really feel it's my duty to warn any poor soul thinking of marrying a mechanic at Habberstad - think carefully and examine your choice of a spouse before it's too late! Mini, you just lost a customer.

Straight up Sales Approach. Jarred S. was extremely knowledgeable. Knew Mini's and Cars in general. Even specifics about the motors and all-wheel drivetrains. The fact that he is an aficionado and owns one also helps the buying experience. Patiently searched for the vehicle I wanted as it was from another dealer. Made a few recommendations and presented various vehicles to review until I got what I wanted. Main reason I bought the car from him/Habberstad.Lots of transparency in the sales process. Carefully explained the lease/finance structure.Business office was also great - no pressure on any of the add ons. They further confirmed/detailed what the sales rep had laid out. Amanda was great.Have not experienced service dept yet - so 5 stars qualified only on sales.Like going to an Apple store - great buying experience , friendly, niche, boutique and no nonsense.Will demo recommend this place to friends and family.And yes, the Countryman is a nice car too :)

Habberstad Mini is a place where everyone is cheerful and helpful- very important when confronted with a surprise problem. I recently had an experience with David Cantarero, who was just so patient, and thorough in answering my questions, I was totally happy with the exchange. The problem was checked out and found to be not anything serious. The service people took their work seriously, however. They wrote up what they'd done to check the problem in great detail, charged me nothing, and washed my Mini.No one can be better than that! They have definitely won my confidence, and I am always impressed with how everyone at the dealership jumps in to help one another.

I have been going to Habberstad Mini for 3 years now since I bought my mini. It has been an up and down roller coaster ride with the service department. I had a fresh of breath air at my most recent service visit with the service advisor David. I was very happy to see that David was excited to have me as a customer, he did everything possible to make sure I left as a happy customer and had a good experience. This made me very happy being that I've had such negative experiences in the past. David did a great job by taking care of me and making sure I was 100% satisfied. Great job David keep it up!

Every experience I have had with dealership has been terrible. Went to pick up my brand new JCW and waited over an hour because it wasn't ready. Then I was compensated for my wait with a gift certificate I never used Bc it expired 2 weeks later. Then with just over 300 miles on the car red check engine light came on. Car was there for about a week. No one from service even called to update it tell me what was happening. When I picked up the car it was unwashed. So much for customer service after spending 35,000 on a car to have a major failure 300 miles in. Even after all of that I decided to give them another try this thurday 7/9/15. Tracy G was the advisor. Now I come in for a covered oil change and a yellow check engine light. Tracy hands me a bill for $380 dollars worth of serving my car "needs". Mind you it has 1200 miles on it and covered by the service package and Warrenty. Highlights of her recommended services the I NEED include throttle body cleaning fuel injector cleaning and some other nonsense. I refused all non covered service and had them just do the covered oil change. Then I was taken down to hertz rentals in my own car to wait an hour for a loaner. (You NEVER get the promised mini loaner. There techs r too bust driving them around) Yes I wait an hour to leave in my Nissan Sentra. AN HOUR! So by the time I get back to work this took 2.5 hours to drop off my car. Then I was called by Tracy Later that day that they needed to keep the car overnite for an oil change. Next morning I am called by a tech who needs to drive my car 20 miles to check on the check engine light reset. I've never heard of such a thing so I said no. I proceeded to call Tracy who said my car was washed and ready to pick up. When I arrived the car was clearly unwashed brake dust everywhere. So again I WAIT as mini washed the car. I jump in and drive the car home put into my garage then rush back to work. When I pull it out the next day I notice my right racing stripe has been scratched up bad with the scratches extending onto the grill and fog light cover. But Bc I failed to notice before I left the lot they aren't responsible for it. I KNOW IT HAPPENED AT HANBERSTEAD. Avoid this dealership at all costs!

Every time I have a problem with my car, Tracy Gerassi makes it into a more complicated situation than it should be. Dealerships like Mercedes Benz and Cadillac treat their customers honestly and fairly-as any dealership should. Especially since mini coopers don't all come cheap. Tracy really tries to find any way possible to make money off of customers. She should not have any part at Habberstad. Her aweful reputation is known state wide. To try and cover herself, she displays a few plastic toy trophies on her desk for "best service." To me it they looks like something a person would buy at family dollar. Next time I need service id rather drive to the Southampton mini dealer-especially since it is run by a different owner. I'm sure they have better customer service and don't lie to customers just to make money off of them.

I always stayed away from owning small cars, but this car is fantastic and so much fun to drive. The mini has an unbelievable amount of room in it. Even when sitting in traffic, you forget about how small the car actually is. It is not until you fit it in a small parking spot do you realize its true size. Whenever I think about driving my mini, a smile comes across my face.

This Mini was my first and the whole process at Habberstad was a first class experience. I took numerous test drives with my son who is 9, and asked Jarred a slew of questions. Jarred knows the car inside and out, and it is clear that he loves what he does. In short, I am now the proud owner of new 2015 Jungle Green MINI Cooper S Countryman All4 and couldn't be happier. The car is a blast to drive, and has plenty of room for my son's hockey stuff.I can't say enough about Jarred. He is the reason that I am now driving a MINI. I had some questions about the navigation and Mini-Connect, and he brought out his own car to demonstrate. Couldn't figure out whether I liked the Countryman or the hardtop, and stopped by more times than I'd care to admit in public. He was patient, and guided me through the decision making process as well as what options I would like. In short, he was dead on. Please reach out to him if you are in the market. Hard to believe my Mini Hardtop is 6 years old. Still drives as if brand new. Booking service appointments is a snap. People are courteous and friendly. I've usually waited for service to finish work on my car but also have taken advantage of a loaner car. Be prepared to pay $$$ for service perhaps because it's a once a year thing. Love my Mini and will most likely be purchasing another in the very near future.

I went into Habberstad Mini on a whim to test drive a Countryman because it's been my dream car for years.I drove the hardtop and the Countryman and fell in love with the hardtop. After speaking to Megan, my motoring advisor, I realized I could make my dream of driving a Mini a reality. Not even a week later, I was in the car on my way home with it. Just leased a Countryman All Wheel drive. It's addicting! My twenty-something sons love to drive it. It handles great, it's so peppy, and it's very practical. The trunk is bigger than I expected for a car this size. My advisor, Philip Parlato, was so nice, and explained everything in a friendly, low-pressure manner. While dealing with some power steering issues on an older mini the service department called me to go over some repairs needed. The cars power steering repairs where extensive (over 2600 dollars). I asked the service department to not touch the car until I made a decision either to have the repairs done or get rid of the car and purchase a new mini. The next day I emailed the service department to not touch the car because I wanted to get rid of it. I was informed about 700 dollars of work had already been done on the car which seemed to have occurred after my phone conversation. Unfortunately I truly was planning on buying a new mini at this dealer but this will now, not be happening.

Every time I take my car in for service, I am NEVER disappointed! I got a flat tire as the dealership was closing on a Saturday afternoon. Will did everything he could and came through with a loaner car ready for me after service hours, so I wasn't stuck over the weekend. On Monday, Tracey took over with excellent customer service and follow up. By Monday afternoon, I was back on the road.Great job! Thanks!

I just had my new navigation installed in my Mini Cooper S. It's the aftermarket one designed for mini's that is mounted on the steering column with the speedo and tach. The experience was very good. The lady who assisted me in the morning was friendly, efficient and made it a quick in - and - out, getting me a loaner car for the day. The new nav system was installed neatly and works well. The only reason for the four stars was that the phone numbers in the on board computer system that my dealer inputted when I bought the car two weeks ago. In fairness, when the service rep. called to follow up and ask hif I was satisfied, she said to come on back anytime and they would re - enter my phone numbers. One last thing that prompted me to give four stars instead of five on one of the customer service category is the dealer did not give my car the car wash that is said to be given at every service. I asked the gentleman outside who handles that issue, and he Said ,"not today, weather". It was the only day that the temp hit 40 degrees, within a weeks stretch on each side of my visit, and it is supposed to part of the advertised of service. He said to come back another day... not convenient for me. However, the overall experience was very good, the lady in the service department was super - accommodating and the navigation system was installed nicely.

When we first met Philip, we hit him with a barrage of questions on several of the mini lineup- we live in the city and had not needed a car for several years. A few friends had given us their recommendations and we had done research too. Philip very patiently went through each car and option available. He really knows these cars in detail. We looked at both new and pre-owned. In the end, Philip helped us find just the right car and we absolutely LOVE our car. Philip is knowledgable, patient, and funny too. There is no pressure at all!! Good thing I did because on day 4 I wound up hitting a huge pothole on the BQE and had a sidewall puncture.

This is the first time buying mini. I read on some reliability issues with the mini from JD power, Car&Driver, etc.. prior and I was unsure of mini's quality. Philip's good. I forgot about the reliability stuff during the purchase. I guess that's good. I think. Anyways the purchase experience was good. Not too pushy. I got my car really quick, next day. I understand all dealers out there want to paddle additional high margin stuff but I respectfully declined. I think this place knows that high pressure tactics only create customer resentment.So far car is running well. No comment on "service" yet. Soon we'll see. Hope it's equally good as the sales experience.

My Mini had a scheduled service do. The time it took to do the service I needed was great. As a Mini owner I want my Mini to stand out from others, so I had purchased black rings that go around the headlights. The original ones were chrome, my Mini is Silver & Black. After they were installed, my Mini is surely looking different then any others. And while I was waiting I had a couple cups of coffee and before I knew it my car was ready. Habbastad Mini is truly customer friendly. Their staff is friendly, curtious and generally care that you auto is maintained properly. Tracey and the rest of the service department surely care about their customers and make you feel welcome.

I have wanted a Mini for over 10 years ago. Just recently I decided to make it a reality. Going to Huntington Mini and working with Jared Sinclair was great. He is very knowledgeable about the car and explained everything I needed to know. This was my first lease and he walked me through my options. I never felt as though I was being pressured into any decision, but instead given a full education about my choices and then allowed to decide on my own. People said I was crazy for trading in my BMW 3 series for a Mini Countryman S all wheel drive, but I LOVE IT! It's a great car, good gas mileage, fun to drive and looks GREAT! If you're thinking of buying a Mini you need to go to Habberstad and see George. He knows everything about Mini's, he is extremely friendly and very honest. I purchased my first Mini Cooper S (2014) this year, and I'm loving it! The staff at Habberstad is wonderful, especially Philip who was so good to me during the whole sales process. Phil always went way out of his way to help, and patiently answered my millions of questions. Since I am disabled, it's very tough to search for a new car since I can't drive everything right out of the box, but he was great at assisting me, and went way out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. I know, I know, they're there to make a sale, but it's not every place that makes you feel as good as I did with making the decision to purchase my Mini. I recommend anyone looking to purchase a Mini to come speak to Phil. I love my "Nigel" and I look forward to years of driving pleasure. I can say without a doubt that my experience with car dealerships through the years do notcompare with my most recent visit to the Mini dealership in Huntington NY. The sales representative, Christian Nanas was outstanding. He was cordial and friendly each time we met.I did not have to endure any high-pressure sales tactics. If there were any questions Christian answered them promptly. His knowledge of Mini products was also impressive. Management also gets a thumbs up for there support as well. I would most probably do business with this dealership again and would recommend them highly to any potential customers.

I had purchased my '09 Cooper S in Southampton and got tired of driving out there for service, I decided to try here. After the great treatment from the service department, I decided I'd stick with them. So much so, I traded in my car for a '12 Countryman S. We were off to a great start!One year is up and it's time for the first service. (12,956 miles) The service crew is gone and now I'm dealing with Tracey. (My wife brought it in since she is the regular driver and works much closer to here) My wife was talked into some 'preventative' procedure that cost over $400. She didn't understand that she was going to be charged and signed anyway. I had told her they can't charge for a repair under warranty since there were only 12000 miles on the car.I go in and pick up the car and Tracey hands me a bill. I asked why am I charged for a 'preventative' procedure when I needed a 'fix' instead? Am I the only one who can't see the logic there? Don't you 'fix' first, and then 'prevent'? Now the arguing gets heated. Thankfully there was a counter separating us. Tracey and I did not hit it off well needless to say. Of course there was nobody else available to speak to, so I had to leave and got a call on my way home. After more arguing I was told that the charges would be reversed for 'Goodwill'. I explained I'd be in the market to replace this one in early '15 and I'd stick with Habberstad.February of this year I had the 2nd year service. (25,191 miles) The car wasn't ready the first day. No real reason given. I was fine with it. I picked it up the second day and was told by Tracey and someone else the printout would be mailed to me. OK A week later I was called for my opinion on the appt. I said all seemed fine, but I never received my copy of the service. I was informed again it would be mailed. Still nothing.Two weeks ago, a service light comes on in RED. (31,561 miles) I brought it in to see what it means. It means it's overdue for an oil change. I said but it was just done in February. Tracey said "No, It wasn't due for a change at that time" WHAT? How could it not be due and why wouldn't you tell me I should get it done anyway? Tracey failed on more than one level here. Now I've got a car with just under 20,000 miles on it's oil. Instead of apologizing, she had me make an appointment to BRING IT BACK YET AGAIN for the oil change. When Tracy is let go, I will gladly return to Habberstad, but not before. I will now be trekking to Southampton yet again for service. And I will definitely not be here in a few months when we trade it in for another Cooper S.Yes Habberstad, you lost a sale due to your service manager. She sure got even with me for arguing with her.

After the rain storm we had in mid August, My Mini Cooper Clubman had 4"of water in it. I was able to start it but that was about it. After letting it run for a while I was able to drive it to Habberstad Mini. .Dealing with the service department I was told to contact my insurance agent. Of course my Mini was totaled. I was pretty much depressed all week-end as this was my first car I had brought new. With the help of Tracy, she got in touch with Jarred who in turn got in touch with me. I explained my situation to him and be for I knew it I was driving a Brand new Mini Countrymen. Jarred was very helpful and made my experience an easy one. One top of all they did for me, they gave me a pair of Union Jack mirror covers that matched my car. When I left there that afternoon, I was so overwhelmed with emotion I had to pull over and clear my eyes. I will recommend anyone I know to us Habberstad Mini to purchase their next car.

From my first email contact with Philip to the time of delivery, the purchase experience could not have been any easier or enjoyable. Philip is a true sales pro. He is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products he offers his customers.I recently took delivery of my 2014 Countryman S ALL4 and have absolutely nothing negative to say. Upon presenting my "build" to Philip, he was very thorough in reviewing and recommending what features I may want to add and which ones might not be for me. There was absolutely no high pressure as I felt the sales approach was completely customer needs based.Philip was very consistent in his communication updates from the time the order was placed right up until my MINI came off the truck. If you want to enjoy buying almost as much as driving your new MINI, go see Philip. We walked in on a Sunday, went for a test drive, and drove home the exact MINI we wanted 2 weeks later. Philip walked us through all of our options and it never felt like we were being sold. We felt like he was helping us imagine and realize our dream car. Phillip was a true pleasure to work with along with Amanda Tully. I went in with the buyer beware attitude and walked out with a feeling of being served a comforting meal. There was minimal back and forth and all discussions with management when making critical monetary decisions were out in the open. There was never the feeling of back and forth with a manager making decisions from and ivory tower. Very cool shop. Phillip even offered for me to have some sushi with his coworkers while I was waiting for my car to be prepped. If you want no pressure and a feeling of "no pitch sales" in a BMW environment this is the place for you. I highly recommend Habberstadt MINI and I definitely would say that Phillip was one of the best I have dealt with in my 30 years of buying and leasing all types of cars. To close; if you are in the market to get a MINI go see Phillip, you might not get a car that day but you will have the feeling of great service as opposed to the feeling of "getting served".

I leased a 2007 mini cooper S convertible. Loved it so i leased a 2010 (same car) for 4 years. the 2010 handled better than the 2007 but mini had included a 'total' computer system and that was the achilles' heel of the car. the gps was useless, as was the in-car phone system (i disconnected it completely after 4 months). the sensors around the car were faulty: the convertible top kept on shorting out the system as did opening the trunk with the 'levers'; the trunk's sensors wound up having to be replaced. i tried other cars when my lease neared its term but frankly no other car handled like the mini, drove like the mini or had the compact but spacious interior design (at least in the front) of the mini. and it had the 'sun-roof' capability---pulling the top back just over the front seats. i cruised around during the winter with that open unless the skies opened up or the temp was really freezing.so i decided to get a 2014 mini s convertible but with no computer. stripped bare. i didn't want to go near any computer system connected to a mini-cooper. then i met up with jarred sinclair, habberstad's sales rep.jarred knows his machine. he knew about the computer system, explained about the update, showed me carefully what it could do. he knew his car inside & out. my previous salesmen at habberstad were nice fellows but didn't know much about the 'new' end of the car. jarred has the instinctive knowledge of the young for the digital world we live in. he came of age with all this and is at home with it. and he showed me how much the mini's computer system had improved. i went for the system and have used the car a month. i don't commute and don't go on long trips but i did take it to maine and back (from nyc).i love my 2014 mini. it handles better than the 2010. its shifting (it's a manual) is smoother. the computer system is much better (& could be improved) but jarred's instructions paid off. and i appreciate he's there to help. it wasn't the hype of the website nor any kind of deal from mini. it was jarred sinclair's knowledge: he knows his car. and he convinced me to invest in it. i'm quite glad i did.

My girlfriend has been interested in a Mini Countryman for the past few months and while she's been working on gathering her down payment I've been following the market. Habberstad Mini has had a white Countryman S exactly how she'd like it sitting infront of Bay Shore for at least three months and it's been in their inventory since at least September. For a white it was priced around $27k, but it was recently dropped to $25k This is still above lower mileage comparable CPOd vehicles, but we figured we'd head up to Habberstad Mini to see what they had to say. I was interested in working a deal on a Paceman S for myself and the Countryman for her. My family has been Habberstad BMW customers for nearly 15 years and I was hoping that between that, the fact the car had been there so long, and the fact that we'd be working a 2 car deal we'd be able to make something happen. Unfortunately we worked with possibly the most unmotivated salesman I've ever encountered. When we got to talking about the price of the car and I mentioned it'd been sitting at BMW of Bay Shore for three months he essentially told me I was lying and that there's no reason it'd be at BMW of Bay Shore until the 'assistant manager at the next desk piped up and said 'yeah it's been there three months. I actually need to bring it up here because it'd sell in a week here.' Well, I'm just curious, but if it'd sell in a week then why'd you just reduce the price $2k instead of taking a chance and moving it? Probably because it's overpriced, if I had to guess. I mentioned that a local dealer had an S ALL4(Habberstads CPO is just an S) with 18k miles on it for $20,500 and he responded that I was comparing apples to oranges with a CPO car vs a non-cpo car with 10k more miles - This would be a valid argument, except for the fact that the cheaper vehicle had only 5k more miles, still has a solid 2 years of factory warranty and is an ALL4 which is a big advantage over the Habberstad car. So then he said we could hang out and he could talk about the price with the assistant manager when he was done with the people he was with. I told him okay well let's take a look at a Paceman in the mean time because I'm thinking of leasing one for myself. He walked outside with us and opened one up, but didn't offer a test drive - maybe because he knew we'd driven Countrymen elsewhere and they're pretty similar, who knows. I will chalk it up to his laziness. We went back inside and got to talking numbers on a Paceman lease. He presented a lease at $475/month when Mini is advertising a number of leases under $300/month on their website. I understand that the vehicle he was talking about had an extra $2k in options, but $2k in options doesnt add up to an extra $200/month. I called him out on it and he started talking in circles about the fine print on Mini ads. At this point I was done with him, but the assistant manager was freed up. Jared came back and told us he could deliver the Countryman unwashed and without gas for an $80 discount. We left and it was now abundantly clear why Habberstad has been steadily losing talent over the past few years, why everytime my family buys a new BMW they have to deal with a new salesperson because their one from the last vehicle has moved on, and why we'll never step foot in a Habberstad store again. Just wanting to make sure i wasn't out of touch with the market, i turned to the internet to check lease figures. There are a number of people out there with well equipped Pacemen paying in the $300/mo range, even one at $304 who was upside down on his trade in. The bottom line is that deals don't always work out, sometimes numbers just don't work, but there are deals you walk away from feeling okay and ones that make you feel like this made us feel and it always comes down to how they're handled. This was handled like absolute garbage, like we were disposable customers. When numbers on one car don't work, you should at least try to discuss another. Show people that you're interested in having them as customers and you're willing to work on something with them. This guy didn't even take our contact information after wasting 90 minutes of our time. There are other Mini dealers on the island who deserve your business besides these guys. Update: We found an awesome, lower mileage CPOd Countryman at MINI of Southampton and had quite possibly the best buying experience I've had. Well worth the trip to the east end to dealer with decent people. There's a reason a number of people from the good old days when Habberstad used to be customer service oriented have found their way to BMW/Mini of Southampton.

Kevin Anglum is by far...the worst..and i mean worst salesman i have ever met.(THE NEXT REVIEW IS GOING ON BE OF AUGUST. HE IS THE BEST IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND HELPED ME OUT 1000X MORE AND WAS ONLY AT HIS DESK FOR 10 MINUTES !!) My first dealer vehicle experience, and most likely my last. I have never met someone that gets paid to sell you something, and not only give you limited information on the vehicle, but allow it to leave without being safe. Not only that but after handing over a large sum deposit, doesn't have the decency to even walk me out to the vehicle and congratulate me on my first time new/used purchase. After the transaction was complete and papers were signed and he didn't even give me a stand up handshake and inform me that we were all done. he simply got up, printed out some papers, went back to his desk put his jacket on and pretty much said..ok. and i waited there not knowing what we were doing, and after saying, ok whats next? he simply replied. your done you can go now. I will never ever use him again. I have never sold myself something for a sales man (if that even makes any sense) The guy is completely shot and i almost feel like he couldn't care less what i had to say other than, , SIGN HERE, $. DONE. However, after bringing the vehicle back 2 days after buying it with less than 200 miles on it, i noticed the brake pads were completely worn down to the backing plate, with scored rotors and the truck pulled to the left because of how low the pads were (which is unsafe!!!) and there was a maintenance light that popped on which the whole entire truck should have been looked over and should pass safety tests, which i own a auto shop of my own and would never allow someone to leave my property with how i had taken the vehicle. Someone said it was my problem because i didn't look at the brakes, but why on earth would i have to look over the car to make sure its safe when im buying it from a dealership? i give him 2 thumbs down.

I was very happy with my overall experience with this dealership. A good selection of Mini's on the showroom floor and the sales people were helpful but not aggressive. I recently had an accident with my Cooper. I drove it to Habberstadt and didn't have to worry about anything after that. Tracey arranged to get it to the body shop and explained why the dealership uses this shop. She kept me posted on the progress of the car. She also recommended a separate repair that I was not aware of before it became a problem. When I came to pick up the car, she arranged for rental car return (even thought I did not rent the car through the dealership). Picked up the car 1-4-14, and was very happy with the work. Tracey has been my service advisor and has done a great job. I felt very relaxed.

I walked into the Mini Cooper dealership, just looking to get an idea of what they were selling for as i wanted to purchase one for my wife as a 50th Birthday present. Maureen Hirsch greeted me, and understood that i was just looking. She did ask me the right questions as to what my goal was financially, and showed me a 2013 leftover that actually had a better finance rate then the 2014's. She described all the features, and then went to see her manager to see if he could make the deal work as it was leftover car. 30 minutes later, i signed the deal. she made the car available for me when i wanted it, took the time to slowly and carefully review all the features, and even was able to get me mirror covers and racing stripes that really set the car off. My wife loves the car, and even when she decided she didn't like the checker board mirror covers, Maureen told her not to worry about it, just bring the car in and they would change them out while she waited. It was actually the best car buying experience i have ever had.I would definitely recommend the Mini Cooper to anyone, and would highly recommend Maureen as a sales person.

Everyone at the service center was extremely courteous; however, I was led to believe that I need to pay for a service done that was elective. This service ended up being close to $400 and while the service procedures were explained (e.g., every 15000 miles, to improve mileage, it's a fuel injection, etc.), the fact that it was elective was not. After hesitatingly agreeing to the service, I returned to pick up my car a few hours later and asked directly if the service was required as per my lease. The service representative would not answer me directly, stating that "pretty much everyone gets it done." I went to sales, asked the same question, and received a clear answer. When I went back to service, visibly upset, they reduced the price to $200 and gave me a keychain. I paid the $200 and stated, clearly, that I will never get this service done again, or any additional services that are not in my lease. Good lesson for me to be more familiar with my lease and knowing what I'm responsible for; in the end, I felt duped and was very disappointed in the experience.

There was absolutely no pressure to buy, but Jarred's enthusiasm for Mini was infectious and made it difficult to leave without purchasing a car. Of the 3 items I requested they attend to, none were done. Of course, induction cleaning (not essential but really pushed on me by them) which is a charged for service was done (see review under Google - same complaint there). On a previous visit, the cover over the tow hook attachment which is on the rear of the car was lost (by Habberstadt). I was promised it would be replaced. When I telephonically booked the service, I mentioned this again, it should have been written down but was not. Of course they don't have the spare on hand. Needs another visit for what is probably a $5 item, but leaves a big ugly hole on the back of the car.Also requested that they install a software update for the Blue Tooth for the car as Samsung Galaxy 4 is not able to connect to the system. I can't for the life of me imagine that they don't have one as the Galaxy is not exactly an uncommon phone! And lastly, firewire for iPhone 5 is also unavailable. How long has the iPhone 5 been out? The 5S will be out later this month! This will no doubt be my last mini and this is my third.

Our experience at Huntington Mini was fantastic. We were greeted by a very cool showroom and friendly receptionist. Our salesperson, Jarred, treated us like we were the only customers in the showroom and worked to get us in the perfect car for us. We took a test drive and even drove to an off site lot to find the right car. Jarred's knowledge of the Mini company and car was impressive and helpful. Even after the car was purchased, he spent at least an hour going over the car with us before we left the lot. I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a Mini.

i went in to habberstad with intensions of buying a new cooper s .after not seeing anything on the lot that satisfied me 100% i went inside and met Jarred . i sat with Jarred and we started to build a car for me .jarred was great as we went through all the options; he was able to give me full insight on what was and was not included within each option and with great detail .you would be amazed how one thing you want may be included in a package with something else you were interested in and the package makes it cheaper . jarred made it real easy in making a car that fufilled my needs and wants and the price was in the range i was looking to stay in .throughout my wait for my car i feel Jarred informed me about the progress respectively as he is a mini owner and finatic himself which i learned trough casually talking with him .after my mini arrived i went to sit with Helen from financing to finalize my purchace .she also is very knowlegable as we went over in high detail about my warrenty and sevice and other warrentees and options that were available .on the day of pichk up Jarred and i went over all the paperork then went out to the car where he went over the car with me explaining how to do everything from unlocking the door to down to some cool tricks that i dont believe ive read in the manual.when i drove away in my new car i was able to say that i was happy i dealt with habberstad ;every person i spoke to or dealt with were pollite and seem to try to make you feel like family. i honestly can say i cant wait to need my car serviced cause im looking foward to meeting the peole in the service dept .

The entire process of buying my Mini was very pleasant, from the time I entered the showroom, to the pricing of the vehicle, to the test ride with Jarred Sinclair, my salesperson, and then the ordering procedure with him. i had a problem. Dealership picked up the car from my home, 40 miles away, [offered me a loaner, but this was way better for me!] and took the car. Called me every day for 2 days with updates. Complicated computer replacement/reprogramming. Got the car covered 50% on a post-warranty claim too! Just great. I went to Habberstad Mini due to a mailing for a raffle of a Mini GP. In talking to George, my salesmen; I found the GP was very limited and too expensive for me. George educated me on the various Mini models and numerous options of which there are 10M combinations for a Mini. George able give me a price for my trade, booklets for me to review and build my own Mini. I went for 2 test drives to more fully get to know the brand. It took a few days online to finally get the version suited for me. I then met with George to review my build. He pointed out things about the car and options I had chosen which farther define my choices. I settled on a build, we agree on price and ordered the car which took about 5-6 weeks to build and get.On the delivery day I added some wrinkles by deciding to completely change the deal from a 3 years finance to a 36 month lease with cash back for my trade. This was the icing on the cake and sweeten to experience lower the monthly pay from $520 to $270. Big difference from the $1080 I was paying for my BMW 135i. Love the exterior color - British Racing Green, interior leather - Toffee, style and handling of the Mini. It's got some things I would redesign - dip moldings along the roof don't work and you and the seat get very wet when you open the door or window. No clock only display on radio. Buttons on lower center console get blocked by your coffee mug. Red display is very bad for my vision; wish there was a way to change it to a different color. You must put the fog lights on every time you use the lights. Automatic day/night rearview mirror doesn't work well at all. You can't reach seat belts without having the door open. Many options should be standard - garage door opener, automatic headlights, tinted rear windows, short antenna.

When I first researched buying a Mini, George walked me through the model I was interested in and then, knowing that I needed several months to finish my other car lease, had his staff keep up with me by phone. They boast about their customer service but from the beginning it was less then satisfactory. I went in to look at a used car I saw on their website. They had little knowledge of their inventory and when I looked at it major things were wrong with the car. We went back the next day since they had another car for me to look at that I might like. This car had minor blemishes that they said they would fix. I liked the car I put a small down payment on the car to hold till the weekend. After that it went down hill.... I sent a email telling them I would be in at 9am on the saturday following. They claim never getting the email, which i replied to their initial email. We waited for about an hour for them, and the car was not ready to be seen. None of the things we discussed about the car where addressed. So we made an appointment for the Friday to pick up the car and that they would fix what we discussed. I waited till Thursday to call them to tell them I did not receive a call about picking up my car from the financial lady. I left 2 messages, one on her voice mail and another with the receptionist. Never heard back until Friday afternoon (the day of the pick up), she only asked about extending my warranty not about how much I would be putting down. When I picked up the car Friday night. They found the sunroof was not working properly and I would have to bring it back the next week. They also financed the whole purchase price of the car which we did not want to do. From the beginning we told them what we wanted down, they choose to ignore this when putting the official paperwork together. I drove the car home, the next morning the TPS light came on saying "Inactive". After all of this I had to bring my car in the Tuesday morning after purchase to have the sunroof and TPS addressed. When I dropped off the car I had told them I needed a loaner car, but they never asked if I could drive a manual (I bought an automatic). They only had a manual available so they send me to hertz. They tell me that they have to order the sensors, ok fine not a problem. I call the next day, Wednesday, they have to order a seal for the roof. It could be ready midday Thursday. Since I bought the car they have had the car in their possession more then I have. I have been in a loaner car for as long as the one I purchased, if i wanted that car I would have and for a lot less money. All in all from start to finish it has been 2 1/2 weeks and I have only driven the car 3 days. I would not recommend buying a used car from them ever. There is a complete lack of communication on their end. I was always the one to initiate any type of communication. Use caution when buying from them.

Jarred was super knowledgeable about the car and MINI's in general. He answered all my questions and concerns about the car, with great details, facts, and even stories about other people's experience. This made the decision process very comforting and I had no doubts about the car itself. The test drive was offered right away, with no ifs or buts. Just straight forward and welcoming. I was hesitant about the price, so I couldn't exactly decide right away. Jarred he told me he will put the car on hold for me, giving me room to change my mind if needed. At a lot of other dealerships, they would get pushy and eager to get a deposit out of you. Jarred did the opposite. I already offered to pay a deposit, but could not decide just yet and needed further consulting with my family, so right away he said to wait until I'm sure before I pay anything. The price from this dealership is higher than some other options I compared to, but the car is in fantastic shape and it comes with great service and a decent amount of full warrantee (3 years) left on the car. I would highly recommend anyone getting a MINI to buy a certified one for this reason. The extra money will be worth it, saving you a lot of trouble and $$$ in the future. Anyway, I would highly recommend buying a MINI from this dealership, and ask for Jarred, he's fantastic. I couldn't be happier. I'm also quite confident that this dealership only sells quality cars. If something is wrong with a used car, they're not going to try and sell it, they would get rid of them. For the record, I purchased a pre-owned 2009 mini cooper in british racing green.

I initially went to Hassel BMW because I live close to that dealership. Upon entering the dealership, I noticed only one person working. I was introduced to him as the Sales Manager. I researched the car and was extremely interested in purchasing and explained that as per Storm Sandy my car was totaled and needed a car ASAP. The manager was not forthcoming with information and I felt that he really wasn't interested in selling me a car. He called another sales person to take me on a test drive and when I began asking questions, he informed me that he knew nothing about the car; that he sells BMW's. I went home and called Habberstad and was fortunate enough to get George Kouroumousis. He spent at least 45 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions. I immediately felt confident that this person was promoting a product that he wholeheartedly believed in and knew every detail about it. I later went to the dealership and purchased a car from George but not before he introduced me to the Manager. He was also great; friendly, honest, compassionate and eager to please. I purchased the car and I have called and e-mailed the Dealership several times to ask questions. They all were there to help me when George was unavailable.I have purchased several new cars in my day, but have never felt more comfortable and secure with my purchase. I gave the rating of 5 because 10 was not an option!

I had already decided to purchase a Mini when I went to Habberstad Mini of Huntington. My dilemma was a choice between low-milage used and new. Also, I had already looked at available used Minis for sale in the 100 mile radius from where I live. Moreover, I had already looked at the official Mini web site and had a good knowledge of the various models and options. On my first visit, Maureen efficiently showed me the stock of available models that fit my range of wishes. She was professional, no-pressure, and knowledgeable. I had read about issues with Minis from 2009 and earlier, she immediately arranged I speak with a mechanic from Service. He was very honest and straightfrward and helped me narrow my choices. During the few months from my initial visit, Maureen would call me only to point out such things as a super-special one-day sale that would save me money, but never pushy. After much search and price-finding with other dealers, I came to the conclusion that I would by a new 2013 Mini, with very well-defined options. I made an appointment with Maureen, she had an equivalent Mini for me to test drive, she had already prepered an order for my "dream" car, and negotiated a very good price. The custom-options Mini was ordered and it was ready ahead of schedule. All paperwork at the date of pick-up was pre-arranged. Nothing was left out. The car was EXACTLY what I had ordered. My impression of this dealership is very positive, as is in particular of Maureen, the sales person.

I just got a Mini Cooper hardtop from Habberstad Mini. The Mini is the most fun car I've driven. The car handles very well, specially when it comes to cornering. I feel like I'm driving a racing car (mine is not an S). Is surprisingly spacious and comfortable for a car it's size. I'm glad I got the mini from Habberstad, they were very accommodating and willing to negotiate on the price. Since I live over an hour away from Huntington Station, Maureen helped me take care of all the paper work over the phone/fax. They even fedex my plates so I didn't have to go back to the dealership.

I brought my Mini in for it's schedule service. The service people, Will and Tracy, were extremely friendly and helpful. They explained in detail what my Mini was due for in regards to maintenance and why these services need to be done. Will and Tracy went on to print out for me and highlight what was covered and what was not, under the free maintenance policy. They said that anything tire related and the fuel injection service is not covered but everything else is covered. Will and Tracy were very welcoming even though this is my first encounter with them. I usually deal with Johnathan or Lauren in service. I love coming to this dealership because everyone is so helpful and thorough with their work. I highly recommend that if you have a Mini, you bring it here for anything you need. Before I brought my Mini in to the dealer, it was driving a bit rough due to the drop in temperature where I live. When I left the dealer with my Mini, it was purring like a kitten again and had a smooth ride like when I first leased it. My service came to a total of $0 because everything was covered. The wait was no more than 2 hours for a full service. My precious Mini was also washed totally clean when they gave it back to me. And in addition, Will and Tracy bought me breakfast...how awesome is that! I've dealt with other car dealerships, and this dealership surpasses the others in terms of customer service, friendliness, and quality of work. I am completely satisfied with my experience at this dealer. I also enjoy the coffee there and there waiting area is quite comfortable. I was treated like a queen from the time I stepped in the door of the service department...guess its the perks of having a Mini!

Even waiting for it to get dark for me to test the difference on standard and HID headlights. Boy am I glad they did that. Had a small car 33 years ago ( last gas crunch ) we had so much fun with it for 11 years. Moved back to big cars and a SUV. Test drove all the small cars and Mini Countryman won. My wife got the Red justa with black roof and wheels. Well we realy love it and so many people asked for a ride that we bought a second one white w black wheels and roof justa. We were promised a certain customization with our Mini. When purchasing, the answer was Yes for everything. After they have your money, they stop caring about you. When it came time to pick up the car, the customization never happened. First, we were told it was our fault. When they took responsibility, then they said we would have to wait for a part to arrive. After 9 days and no one contacting us after leaving 3 different messages, we finally talked to them live. They said we would have to wait 5 more days. Next, when the part came in, we had to schedule an appointment. On that day, they were short staffed and we had to wait 4 hours...only to then be told they can't actually do that customization! So they didn't know to begin with, or just said yes to get us to buy. Finally, we purchased a back seat cover that they still have not delivered 1 month after purchase! ALl the while, not one person apologized. This has been the worst service ever! There are other Mini dealers in Long Island, be selective.

Starting with george in sales, he's professional, humble and honest, and he knows his product.Then we dealt with donna in financing, she went out of her way to get us financed and at a low rate. she is extremely friendly and on the ball, I have purchased many new cars in the past years, and i can honestly say, it was my very best experience. and finally there is alex, he runs around a lot, but when you catch him, he'll treat you like you're a relative, when trading in your car. he gave us top dollar for our car, i didn't expect that much for it. i guess over the years when purchasing a car, my experiences were so horrible, that when you do business with decent people, it seems odd. it does seem like the dealership has a kiss ass policy, and we loved it.

Gus was very friendly and helpful in the selection process. Any question, he knew the answer. Once the order was placed, he described how to trace the progress online. That worked great. When we picked up the car, Gus was very organized in covering all the details. Donna also helped with the last-minute choices. The only slight problem, really insignificent, was some unexplained delay during the pickup. But everyone there, including Gus and Donna, was super friendly, and the overall experience was positive.

Huntington Mini is an exceptional dealership. The customer service was terrific and the employee that helped me was very friendly. I took my mini in to have a dent fixed and they did a great job fixing it...its practically unnoticeable now. Of course i would have given 5 stars for the price of the work but it is a dealership so what do you expect, the price will be a little higher but i rather the mini guys touch my car than have any ol' auto body shop do work on beloved mini. Btw i leased my mini from Hassel mini in freeport but i rather bring it to huntington for service. Overall, i would tell any mini owner on long island to go to huntington mini for any of your mini needs!

I bought a brand new 2012 Mini Countryman S All 4 on 4/20/12. I actually purchased it a few months before but had to wait since they were shipping it from Austria. My overall experience was okay. My sales representative (Jarred Sinclair)was excellent. Jarred helped me all along the way and kept me informed every step of the way. The most dissatisfying part was after waiting 8 weeks for this car and multiple conversations the same week in regards to what time and day I could pick up my car it was NOT ready. This was extremely terrible. I had to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes, while I saw employees take lunch and have a great time, for them to bring the car around dripping with water and still dirt on it. After paying $37,000 for a brand new car, constant communication, and standing outside waiting for the car to come it had water and dirt on it. The gaskets were all dirty, NOBODY lifted up the hood to clean it because dirt and dust was all over. Additionally there were tape marks. WHY should I, the customer, have to take/ clean this when I spent the money and took care of everything on my end. This was the most frustrating and poor service experience I have ever seen in regards to picking up a vehicle. NOBODY should have to spend 5 and a half hours at a dealership after you finalized everything, waited weeks, and are just there to pick up the vehicle. Everytime I kept asking is the car coming? THe response was yea in a minute, and then 10 minutes, and then twenty. DOES ANYBODY COMMUNICATE? I am surprised anybody could get away with this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jared (my Mini sales rep) was friendly and helpful. On my initial visit, Jared and I took a test ride, and he was very knowledgable about the Mini Countryman and was able to answer all my questions. After I decided to buy, he kept me informed about the status of my Mini Cooper as it moved through the order/build/delivery process. At delivery, he went over all of the cars key features, and spent quite a bit of time answering my questions and demonstrating the systems. All in all it was a positive experience.

Salesperson reviewed & applied all current deals/promotions, with medium amount of negotiation to agree on final pricing. This marked the first time in approx 7 years that I've been visiting this dealer, that I was satisfied with the price competitiveness, absence of "price switching", to the point I made the purchase in one visit. ( I should note, in the past I walked away on two separate occasions and purchased other brands due to lack of a competitive deal & "sales games" played at this dealer)Salesperson & business mgr were knowledgable, thorough, and friendly. Their availability and response time regarding follow up on credit approval and any inquiry, concern, scheduling was top notch. Upon vehicle pickup salesperson was very organized with paperwork, efficient and gave comprehensive vehicle demo. Car prep was very nice.

This is my 3rd Mini and Habberstad made the sales experience a good one. I was buying the new Cooper Coupe so there are relatively few discounts available but they worked with me to get the best trade-in value as well as a Mini promotion of $750 discounted off the new car. Staff were friendly and I did not feel pressured as I have at other dealerships. I've had service done on my previous Mini through Habberstad and I was impressed that there was no attempt to sell me unnecessary services-just an honest assessment of what I may need in the near future. They also fixed a chronic problem on my previous Mini that the other Long Island dealer had not managed to address for the past 2 years. Overall, I've been very pleased.

We began discussions regarding the car over the phone. Gus was great to work with and very informative. We also spoke with Donna beforehand about financing options. When we arrived, both employees were ready to work with us and promptly and completely answered any questions we had. They were not pushy but incredibly helpful. He was terrific to work with, friendly, polite, not pushy and incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of my new mini cooper s. You've given me a car that's brilliant on the road and a disaster in the software. It's computer system is faulty, unreliable, complicated, user-unfriendly and unforgiving. The GPS is a disaster with an un-readable map, difficult to program destinations and tells me the lattitude and longitude of where i am but not the street--how geeky. The in-car cell phone system is so poorly programmed i've disconnected the outgoing call function so i can actually make an outgoing call. the ipod connector sometimes refuses to recognize the ipod; the pre-sets for my radio sometime disappear than a week later re-appear. and the convertible top mechanism is a disaster: the sensors are huffy. your service personnel claimed i'm opening/closing the top while driving! Because the sensors of this dysfunctional, poorly tested, over geeked computer system tells them so. Which is adding insult to injury.Frankly, every time you collect your montly lease fee, i really feel mini-cooper is a thief. you've given me only half a car. you've ruined a beautifully engineered car that's a pleasure to drive with a poor,amateurish computer system that is not in beta phase...but in zed phase (ask the Brits what that means; they created this disaster).Barry LewisThe only response from Mini-Cooper: the software is my problem; i should just live with it. My response: Mini-Cooper occupies the same level of sleazy corporate irresponsibility as Rupert Murdoch.

Started off at Hassel Mini and wasn't really happy with what was being offered. Made it over to your dealership after 730 and was greater warmly and didn't feel rushed at all eventhough it was almost closing time. George explained all car features and financing in a way that was very easy to understand. I was also happy with the price negotiated. When I picked up the car the next day George once again explained the paperwork in an easy to underhand manner. Once we got into my new car all features were demonstated and I especially apriciated my phone blue tooth connection being paired with the car. This is my first time getting my own car and I can say that I have been nothing but completely satisfied, even impressed with Habberstad Mini Cooper. I began this process less than a week ago when I scheduled to sit down with a sales representative to discuss a new Mini Cooper S. To my content, I was greeted by George who seemed to be right around my age range. After discussing what features I was looking for and how I was looking to handle the financial side of things, George was more than accommodating in showing me which vehicles they had in stock that fit my criteria and immediately offered me a test drive in a manual model. Considering I haven't driven stick very much in the past, I was pretty rusty in the beginning, but George was extremely patient and relaxed as I got the swing of it. After I took the car around a great little neighborhood, he jumped into the driver seat and showed me how the car really handled when driven by someone with more experience. Needless to say I had a blast and immediately expressed interest in getting a Mini Cooper. So here I am 5 days later waiting for all of the paperwork to go through and hopefully by Tuesday I will be driving a great little Chili Red Mini Cooper S. Either way, the customer service and help so far has been nothing short of brilliant. I highly recommend Habberstad!

Issue #1: Since I live far from the dealership and work teacher's hours, I am extremely inconvenienced and frustrated by the restrictive 7 AM-11 AM loaner car policy. A few weeks ago I had a problem and when I called was told I needed to schedule a Saturday appointment, since there are no afternoon hours when I can get a loaner car. When I went on Saturday, after waiting over an hour I was told the problem could not be diagnosed on a Saturday (WHY NOT???) and that I couldn't leave the car since there is no loaner car on weekends. The round trip from my home is about an hour and a half.Two weeks later, after arranging time off from work (which was very difficult at this time of year), I was finally able to bring the car in early in the day and get the problem looked at. The issue concerned warning lights on the display. After I left the dealership, one of the warnings continued to come on every time I start the car, even though I was told this wouldn't happen, but I am not able just to drop in to have it looked at again, so I am living with it. Since the same warning came on when I drove the loaner car, I assume this is "normal" but if that is the case, maybe I needn't have gone through all of the above.Issue #2: I was informed at my earlier service visit that my warranty will expire before 36 months. The explanation was not satisfactory and I really need to speak to a manager. I can't understand how a 36 month warranty can "shrink" after the car is sold. The service person, while sympathetic, couldn't give me a real reason that made sense to me. Nothing was said at the time of sale about a reduced warranty period.I am beginning to regret that I bought a car from Habberstadt since service is so difficult to schedule and I seem to be coming back for similar issues over and over. I appreciate the free service now, but if I continue to have to bring the car in for what appear to be relatively minor problems over and over again, and have to pay for everything at Habberstadt rates, I will not be a happy Mini owner.

When we first went to the showroom, all of the "MINI" sales people were busy, but Mr. Wahl (who I don't think normally takes care of MINI customers)saw us waiting around and asked if he could help. We were very grateful for that. Long story short, he took us on a test drive, answered all of our questions and then wrote up our order since we'd made our decision.He was really quite knowledgeable about the MINI and he made ordering one a painless experience. The car was delivered exactly when he said it would be -- perhaps even a little early. Because of our work schedules, we couldn't pick it up until it was close to when he would normally have gone home. Nevetheless, he was very patient and thorough in explaining all of the features of the car and in answering our questions. He followed-up with a call the following day to make sure that there were no problems. Although it's a "hike" to this dealer -- we live an hour away in rush hour traffic -- I'd say it was worth it. The car is really great so far and the purchase and delivery experiences were first rate.

The service was great. Maureen is an excellent sales person. She gave us the space we needed to talk and make decisions she was very patient, not pushy, very knowledgeable on ALL aspects of the car. She gets 5 stars from us. Others in the dealership were helpful and polite.Unfortunately the car we leased had a manufactured part that was damaged and on our way home we encountered a problem. We ended up having to come back, bring the car to the service dept. getting a loaner car, waiting a couple of days, then we had to come back... wasn't terrible but was a bad start. The car drove great after that. We had it for 2 days, and unfortunately on the second day was in a bad accident (old man didn't stop at a stop sign) so now we need to see what will happen and I guess will really put Habberstad to the test. Of curse it's nothing to do with their service but moving forward there will be things to 'deal with' between the leasing company and insurance...if the car is 'totaled' we will need a new car for the duration of the lease.

I have always loved the mini coopers when they came out. I rented a car from enterprise on 24th street in Manhattan. I was thrilled to have a choice between the minicooper and some other ugly car that I would have refused if it was the only one left at the rental store. It was a red cooper. The size is perfect, it parks well in the city were parking spots are scares and it drives beautifully. The first day that I drove it to work, someone at the parking lot commented - "Great Car." I said I know but failed to tell him that I rented it because I knew even before then that I wanted one. That night drivingg home from work, I told my mother to research it and to my luck your dealerships had deals going on. I live in Manhattan but I chose the Haberstad MINI because because they responded to my email immediately and call me to make an appointment right away. My initial appointment was with Gus but he was not there when I visited. I was very happy to have landed George because he was perfect. I ended up leasing the car because it was the best choice for me and he had explained every other choice so thoroughly. I really appreciated how he was determined to make sure I get the car because he understood my situation and the urgency of the vehicle. So, in short, I had the perfect salesman and I will recommend your dealership any time to anyone. Also, the rest of the team helped execute my deal quickly and thoroughly. So, I am pleased because I know if I go there and George is not there I feel at easy dealing with the rest of the Habberstad team. I love my car choice...linah

I am very impatient when buying a car and I don't look forward to the BS one recevies. He was friendly, down to earth and professional. We got right to business, laid the cards on the table and told him to go to work and sell me a Mini. Habberstad was the third and final Mini dealership I intended to visit. I told George I was ready to buy. He wasn't pushy, listened to everything I had to say, gave his opinions and after 15 minutes gave me a wonderful deal. Before agreeing on anything, we went test driving wich was an absolute blast. He brought me to winding hilly roads so I could feel just how wonderful the car handled. We took out an automatic and a manual. He never rushed me, he just let me do my thing. After finaslly deciding on model and extras, the deal was almost made with one exception. I told him I was going to visit a VW dealership first before setting the deal in stone. He was very understanding, did not become agressive. WE did all the paperwork wich he filed and told me that it all would be shredded if I decided not to buy from him. I called George the next day and closed the deal. I need to say that it was the very best experience I ever had (except for my first car) in purchasing a car. I was not rushed, not messed with, NO BS. An extremly enjoyable, fun experience that only took 1 hour of my time. Donna in finance is extremely, helpful, friendly and professional. My entire experience their was great.

This dealership is horrible and full of liars! When I originally was looking for a vehicle they lied to me about what their Mini select program was and now I am stuck with a gigantic balloon payment and now that my contract is up they have turned their backs on me. They will not work with me on any level. I can't get anyone to return my phone calls and I even went their and no was able to see me. Their sales man lied to me about my end of contract options and has since screwed me with a payment I have to pay out of pock which will crush me financially as I am on a strict monthly budget. Habberstad Mini has actually told me it was my problem not theirs and that they want nothing to do with me or my car.I will never get a Mini again or work with Habberstad Mini of Huntington Station. I will also do whatever I can to let as many people on Long Island, NY know of their crooked, lying ways and warn them of the consequences that will happen if they enter into a contract with them.

I had been looking at Mini's for sometime when I decided to visit Habberstad. Although it was nearing closing time Maureen never rushed us. She answered all my questions and let me look around as much as I'd like. I was given an appointment to return for a test drive. Again Maureen greeted us warmly and took her time. I probably wasn't the easiest costumer. I was very indecisive and wavered back and forth between the Mini and Cooper S.Once I decided on the Cooper S I tortured her with my flipping from one color to another from one option to another. Maureen never made me feel like I was bothering her. She remained professional, friendly and helpful the whole time. I love my Mini. It is everything I hoped for and Habberstad and particularly Maureen made the whole experience pleasurable!

I was looking to trade in my old Honda this month. I really only had a few brands and models in mind, and wanted to find something small, stylish, and truly fun to drive. I always loved the MINI Cooper's style and design, and only dreamed I might ever come to own one. I started looking at random car dealerships, asking if they had any used ones that might be in my price range, and although I found a few, the dealerships were either shady, or the service was terrible, or the MINIs they had in stock were in the high end of what I thought I could afford. Things looked grim.Then one afternoon, as fate would have it, I noticed the Habberstad MINI dealership as I was passing by it, and made a u-turn to stop in... a whole lot filled with just MINIs ! I was greeted by Nancy Shinholster. She offered to show me around, and asked questions to get a better idea of what I was looking for. I would have been happy with the least expensive used MINI on the lot, but Nancy was knowledgeable, patient, and helpful and got me to realize that it was possible to finance a new MINI with the features I was looking for, for actually less money than a used one.When I admired a new one in particular then, Nancy encouraged me to go with her for a test drive, which was simply the most glorious experience of my week. Nancy pointed out many of the features and benefits on the test drive, and within 10 minutes, I just knew I had to own this car. I wondered how this could be possible, and worried while we walked back to the show room, because I knew I was falling in love with a car that looked completely out of my price range, and that my dreams would be dashed. Nancy took the time to explain all the different possible ways to finance the MINI I wanted, and suggested a plan that worked out for me with low monthly payments, at what seemed like an impossibly low interest rate. (Even the banks I visited to ask about auto loans all commented that I got a great deal, and that there was no way they could beat it, even as a long standing customer of my own bank!) This was a match made in heaven, and by Friday, I was meeting Nancy at the dealership to drive away in my new MINI - my dream car. I am 100 percent convinced that if it were not for meeting Nancy at this dealership, that things would be very different for me - and that it is entirely possible that I would not be driving a MINI at all. Nancy is one of those rare people you meet in life who connects with you because she cares. She has this amazing positive energy about her that just radiates. She takes the time to understand what you are looking for, and her enthusiasm for helping people to realize their dreams is just magical. From a business standpoint, Nancy is the ultimate sales person. She is cheerful, enthusiastic, confident, knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and patient. Above all, she is genuine, sincere, honest, and caring, and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns to make sure that I would be excited about owning my dream car with a financing plan that I would be totally comfortable with, right from the very first payment - and that from the first day, I would be happy that I was driving the car that was made for me, the perfect match. In the days between making the down payment, and scheduling an appointment to pick up my car, Nancy was in touch with me by phone to answer any other last minute questions and concerns I might have had, including auto insurance that was as affordable as well, and took the time to help me research the best insurance coverage at the lowest cost, too, and for that I am equally grateful. When I went to pick up the car, Nancy greeted me enthusiastically and made me feel that this was truly a special eventful occasion, and that I was making the right decision. I had absolutely no doubts in my mind at that very moment that I was doing the right thing, and would be driving away completely happy with my entire experience - the car, the service, and meeting a truly rare and special individual who made this all possible. Nancy walked me through all the paperwork, one step at a time so that I understood everything I was signing, and felt comfortable everywhere I placed my signature. She walked me to the car and took the time to review all the important highlights and features about how to operate the vehicle, so that I would drive away with confidence. Then she said goodbye and thank you, and hugged me for good luck, and standing in the lot to watch and wave as I drove away, as we both smiled. I am grateful to Nancy for one of the most amazing experiences in life. She was a huge part of the reason for it.

I had a sticking roof since the end of last summer, I completely forgot about it over the winter and it reared it ugly head this spring. The week before Memorial Day my roof started clicking funny when I was operating it. The weather had been good that week so I left it open rather than having to fight it when trying to open it. That Wednesday evening I tried to close it and thats when it partially closed on the left side and that was it, locked and broken in place. I took my R56 S into Hassel for the broken roof, they are in the next town over from me. I went in as an emergency appt. on Thursday as the service advisor had suggested. They could not get the roof to close let alone fix it that day so I was scheduled for the next Monday, luckily I have a garage as things have been rainy in NY the last 30-45 days. Any how I brought the car back to Hassel as asked, no loaner as they want you to make a loaner appt. 3-4 weeks ahead. The reason I mention the no loaner is that the car is my primary and I was without a car for almost 2 days. I was called that the car was ready on Tuesday afternoon and picked it up that evening. After turning out of the dealership it was obvious the tech did not do the new roof install properly. There we screws on the floor, which the advisors assured me were extras, yeah right! And my tint was gone since it was a completely new roof and they didn't even bother to mention this. I called them the next day to let them know and see if I could come in right away. I was told they could not fit me in so I just scheduled an appt. for 3 weeks later, with loaner, and figured I'd have the general yearly maintenance done at that time too. I also find out that afternoon that the blue tooth mic was never plugged back in during the completion of the repair, oh yeah and the plastic front of my tach glass was scratched which I only noticed at weird lighting angles. I get the survey from BMW/MINI and I tell them how it happened. The advisors were cordial and friendly, the tech did not complete the job properly and failed to do a test drive to check his work or the items he removed during the work. I then get a follow up from Hassel's General Manager of Operations, Robert Portesy, wanting to know what had happened. So I told him the same.The day before my next appt., around 10AM, I get the automated call to make sure I was still in for the appt. At 5:30 PM that same day I get a call from someone at Hassel telling me my appt. is cancelled and they will not work on my car. WOW! That's a first for me! I called them back the next day to try and speak to Mr. Portesy to find out what was going on but he would not take my call nor return my call. I then called MINI customer service but they were of no help as they said they could not do anything to help me and that the dealers were not an area they can control. Again news to me.A few days later I call Habberstad to setup an appt. I was able to get one for a week later and it included a loaner. I worked with Jackie at Habberstad and she was great, super friendly asked all the right questions including had I been troubled by the cold start clatter. I also had to have the tip re-call done, general maintenance and of course the roof rattling. I also go the loaner :-) Jackie called me late that afternoon about my tire pressure to make sure I wanted it as high as I had it. Talk about being customer oriented! Anyhow the car was ready the next afternoon and they had fixed the roof, I'll get back to that in a minute. I also got the new timing assembly, chain tensioners, guides and sprockets. They did an oil change, new front brakes, general diagnostic (all clean) and a new cabin filter. As far as the roof went the tech said whoever did the work not only failed to install all the screws but the also left the seatbelt mechanism and the side curtain airbag loose. Talk about potential safety issues! So the tech buttoned everything up like it was all nice and new again :-)Moral of the story, steer clear of Hassel as they are a HASSLE! I found out they are owned by Group One, a dealer conglomerate that only cares about numbers and not its customers. Kudos to the team over at Habberstad from Jackie to the Techs as they really know how to treat customers. It finally looks like someone actually cares about MINI owners since MINI doesn't!

Haberstad Mini is extremely customer friendly. I'm the kind of guy that usually gets ignored at car dealerships, jewelry stores, etc. but as soon as I walked through the door there was someone there to help me. Nancy Shinholster is a knowledeable, personable, down-to-earth sales person. She also dresses nice. I told her exactly what I wanted and she came up with multiple options for me without ever trying to pressure me into something I couldn't afford. She answered all my questions and never seemed like she was trying to hide anything. We took a test drive and she was quite patient with me through my nervousness. I would certainly recommend Nancy and Haberstad overall.

My rating was based on sales process and the service center. There are times where their customer service is suspect, but it has to do more with the scheduling or organizational skills. Their employees are very willing to go above and beyond and are very courteous. The dealership as a whole is very professional.
