Well I guess if you own a business it’s your prerogative to do what you want, but I thought we had a deal. I called Joe Saturday morning immediately after they opened about an awesome F-150 at an awesome price that was just posted. He said the A/C was cutting out and that it was going to be fixed Monday and acted as if we couldn’t really do anything until then. He sent me the carfax and more photos and I told him later Saturday morning that I wanted the truck and would make arrangements to come from DFW once he was done looking at the A/C. I did not even try to negotiate. I was good with the price. Even offered to place a deposit, but he didn’t act as though it was necessary. I called him at opening Monday at 10am to let him know that I was not “interested” in the truck, that I “WANTED” the truck and would head that way (3.5 hr drive) as soon as it was ready. Even that afternoon. He said he’d let me know what the A/C fix was once it was completed and we could finalize the deal. Well Joe called me at 3pm to say his son sold the truck that morning!! He went on about how if it wasn’t for the A/C problem and the secretary not showing up til noon that he could have taken a deposit otherwise. What a joke! Surely a family friend wanted it and they decided to take it off the lot. Just glad it happened before I was on my way but the way this went down I don’t think they would have had the courtesy to hold it anyway once I was on my way. Won’t be looking here for future buys even if it is another great price!

Where do I start!? We found this car online just before Christmas. We were one of three to contact in one day. We passed on an opportunity to drive down (10 hours round trip) to test drive, and a week later we were called and informed this car was still available. We decided to make the trek and were highly impressed. These good ol' boys greeted us bright and early with coffee and all the information on the car we wanted to look at. Overall buying a used car there may be some issues. Before our drive they were completely transparent about new tires needing to be purchased and a couple cosmetic blemishes (car is a 2001). We were able to negotiate a deal and drive away with all necessary documentation in hand. They were upfront, honest, and had a no-frills, down-to-business style I appreciate, and I'll absolutely keep this place in mind when another auto purchase is necessary.
