Brought a Subaru from them a year ago with 104k on the odometer: Car had no issues and still runs like brand new. They sell good cars there. PERIOD. In fact, I sent my stepdaughter there, and she is buying a pristine Forester at the time of this writing. They are tucked away at the end of a dead end street, and yet the cars fly off the lot. No drive by shoppers, just simply word of mouth and a website. Nice cars and nice people selling them. Yeah, I'd buy from them again.

I purchased a Subaru with over 100,000 miles from this dealer over 3 years ago, and the vehicle is still going strong. It has been reliable and had no issues. I’ve been very happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to do business with Hampden Trading again in the future.

Have had 0 issues with my car. The process was fast and smooth. I'd purchase another car from here with no hesitation. They price the cars fairly so if you have a lower budget, expect a lower budget car.

They are amazing to work with! So willing to make sure everything was perfect with the van, fixed doors, replaced parts, and even put it up on the lift so we could look underneath it. Dave was the best! No pressure from him in purchasing but gave you all the information so you could make the best decision for yourself. Highly recommend and would go there again for our next car!

I was looking at a used car all around new england (around 100 miles) and came across them having the one I wanted to look at even though it's 90 miles out. They have a good website with detail information. I called them Sunday (did not expect them to open) and they return my call after I left a voicemail confirming that car still available. Dave, Eddie and Alexandria and runs an excellent place. Dave (boss?) - were excellent on getting the car prep for me to look at even before they open. It just started to snow and Dave went out to clear the car before 8am. Car is in excellent condition and they changed the oil, transmission oil and Timing belt (questionable) before putting the car up on sale. Their price is excellent with the car in this condition. Dave also went above and beyond putting the car up on the lift for me to look at the under carriage without me having putting it up on my ramp in the snow. All the paperwork went through very quickly and I could get my car registered within few days. It is easy to pick up the car also, they have it prepped for me to run. All fluid were checked and topped off prior to me driving it off. (remember snowed?) Overall excellent communication and customer service. Will likely to go back to them if I need another car.

We found a 2006 Jeep Liberty on-line being sold by Hampden Trading Co. We bought the car from Rusty. A few issues needed to be taken care of before we could pick up the car, which they completed for us. The day after we brought the car home, there was fluid leaking. We called them up and they told us to bring it right back for them to fix. They fixed the problem, and now we have our car back and running fine. Both Rusty & Dave were always very friendly and cooperative. We would go back to their dealership in the future to buy another car. They had a nice selection of used cars.

I had been looking for a used Subaru and found one at this dealership. I was excited because it was a first car for my child and I wanted something safe. I thought the price was a bit high for the condition of the car. I tried to offer a reasonable price and the salesman said to me, "We do not negotiate with our prices and that was the best price for the car. " Needless to say I found a better deal elsewhere. I took a look back to see if the car was sold and I find it now offered for less money at a price even lower than what I offered. Well, I feel sorry for them because they would have had that car sold for a better price. Always waiting for something better to come along and not working with what's in front of you isn't always the best thing to do! In the end, it did work out best for me! :)

My 2003 Hyundai with 133k on leaked transmission all over my landlord's new driveway when the lines broke. I Found 2 cars of interest. I asked for one be inspected by my mechanic, no problem. The mechanic listed a number of problems one was an oil leak that could be caused by a number of reason that could possibly be resolved. I contacted Dave and told him I couldn't take a chance of another leak or I'd be looking for a place to live. His response was all cars leak. My Hyundai I had for 5 years never leaked until the lines broke. I said I would like the mechanic to look at the Honda he evaded the request . When I stopped to pickup the deposit Rusty the sales person informed me Dave preferred not to do business because there was no problem with the car. I can't believe Dave just didn't tell me that when I spoke with him. You be the judge. It's too bad because Rusty was easy to work with and the pricing is very good

I purchased a 2005 Kia Spectra April 11, 2016 from this dealer for my college student son. At the time of purchase, I asked about the timing belt. The car had 89000 miles and the dealer recommends it be changed at 60000 miles. I was assured that their mechanic would go through the car and fix anything that needed to be done. When I went to pick the car up they told me it would be a few days until they got the report from the mechanic and they couldn't tell me what had been done or needed to be done. I asked if they could get that information to me. The car sat for a month not driven other than home from the dealer and to a car wash. On May 9th I drove the car to Boston and retrieved my son from school. I called the dealer to ask about what was done regarding the timing belt (since they couldn't tell me if it had been done when I picked it up) and they said they would research it and call me back. My son needed to start driving that car May 16th for school and was going to be driving to New Bedford and back daily. With no return call from the' dealer, I brought it to my mechanic for inspection on May 13th. The belt was the original belt, as was the water pump. The belt was obviously worn. I had it replaced. I called the dealer today to tell them that they didn't keep their word and that the belt would have likely failed. They immediately told me I wasn't getting money from them because I didn't give them a chain to fix it and wanted to know why I hadn't called them. I told them I had called them and they never got back to me. I also told them I wasn't looking for money but wanted them to know they hadn't kept their word or followed up with me. Their response angered me. I told them instead of turning it back on me they could have at least apologized. I said if they wanted to do ANYTHING decent, they could pay for the parts. I did offer to bring the old belt in for their inspection. They declined and told me I should "do what I need to do". So, here is my story, decide for yourself where you will do business.

Dealer made all sorts of promises to repair vehicle but fell short. Have had the vehicle for 4 months and it has been in the shop every moth since purchasing it.

We have now bought our 4th car from Dave and Rusty. The first car we never actually drove off the lot for when they were checking it out found that the engine had been overheated and that the chance of a failure was eminent. We were disappointed but Dave worked with us and found us another vehicle and worked with us on the price. We have purchased now three additional cars for our daughter, son and now for myself. They stand behind their cars and performed all the necessary repairs before they gave us the car. The 2004 Forester we bought they did timing belt and head gaskets. When I started looking for this last car my wife would not even go looking at any other dealer.

Drove over an hour to Hampden Trading Co. from Oxford, MA to checkout a 06' Saab 9-2x. The car was great!...except I physically didn't fit in it being 6'3". Because of the amazing service, low prices and lack of pressure to buy, I test drove a few other cars that where a better fit. I ended up falling in love with an 07' Forester and decided to buy it. There where a few small issues with the car (i.e. needed new brakes and one heated seat didn't work); however, RUSTY made sure those issues where address AND MORE. The timing belt and head gaskets where replaced free of charge! Since I left the lot I've told everyone Hampden Trading Co is the place to buy...especially Subaru. Thanks a ton Rusty and enjoy your winter in FL!

I LOOKED ON CARS.COM FOR A TOYOTA AND HAMPDEN TRADING COMPANY CAME UP AS THE BEST PRICE FOR THE YEAR AND MILEAGE I WAS LOOKING FOR. I HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE AT THE CAR LOT AND TEST DRIVE. RUSTY WALKED ME THROUGH THE BUYING PROCESS WITH GREAT KNOWLEDGE AND MADE IT EASY. I HAVE TOLD FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF THIS COMPANY BECAUSE AFTER LOOKING FOR MONTHS - THEY WERE THE BEST VALUE!

I was concerned going through the process of buying a car that I would not find one I loved at a reasonable cost. At Hampden Trading Co. I was able to. I bought a 2006 BMW 325 XI, and I could not be more satisfied. I especially want to thank Rusty, Angela, and Dave for assisting me through the whole process. I really couldn't have done it without them and they answered every question I had. I am glad I went to Hampden Trading Company. I wouldn't change a thing.

I bought my first car from here and the process was quick and easy. They were upfront and honest, didn't hassle or hover when I was looking at the car. I bought a 2000 Honda Civic and the condition of the car is amazing. No problems so far. I've had the car for about 2 weeks and I'm loving it.

I bought a RAV4 and the experience was much better than I had anticipated. Eddie and Dave did not pressure me and were extremely helpful in answering all my questions. They completed everything on the car's "to do" list in time and kept me informed along the way. I was expecting my used car purchase to be painful and unpleasant and am happy to state that my experience at Hampden Trading Company was the exact opposite: I actually drove away feeling GOOD about my purchase and the dealership! I have been recommending them to everyone now that I have discovered them. Well worth it!

We purchased a Subaru Outback from Hampden Trading Company. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were very responsive to our questions and called back quickly when we contacted them by phone. There was a problem with the registration paperwork which they took care of in a quick and efficient manner. I have had the car for a little over a month now and I love it. I highly recommend them.

I had the most pleasant buying experience at Hampden Trading Company! Ed and Dave, were great to deal with I was informed about a few minor things that my Volvo needed before delivery and they took care of these issues at their expense. My car was priced right and when I picked the car up it was cleaned inside and out I will tell my family and friends to check them out for their next used car purchase.

We purchased a car from Hampden Trading a couple of months ago. I had not previously heard of them but my son found them when looking at cars online, we are very happy with the car and could not have been more happy with the buying experience. The staff was friendly, helpful and never made us feel pressured.. I have recommended them many times since and won't hesitate to go back the next time we need a car.

We purchased a used 2004 Honda Civic for our son for his college commuter car. There was no sales pressure. The car was priced $200 over what its "market value price" was on one of the car pricing websites, however, it was comparable to other dealers for the same type of car. Also, this dealer was a lot closer than other dealers with comparable Civics, Sentras, etc. The dealer replaced the AC unit (at the Honda dealer) and also one of the front struts (the strut repair was his initiative) - all on his nickel before turning the car over to us. Overall a good experience.

The car we purchased was in good condition but I asked them to check a couple of items which have been issues with this vehicle. They checked and repaired at no cost to us but considerable cost to them. We got the car in great shape. They were efficient, pleasant to deal with, and I felt had integrity in the way they dealt with us. I would go back to them for any car purchases in the future.

Found a car that suited me, drove it a few miles, and bought it. I mentioned loud tires in the rear (they were cupped) and was told new tires would be fitted (they were). Easy transaction and pleasant people. I was at ease and felt they could be trusted. Not a trait used auto dealers are normally associated with. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I live in Connecticut and they wouldn't register the car at the MVD so I waited the 2 hours to do it myself. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I bought a 2004 Subaru Forester.. It had a few minor problems, being a used car, that was expected. They fixed the problems with hassle at all.. They accommodated me and my schedule for drop off and pick up. They also held the car with my deposit and were always up front and honest with me. They have a ton of really nice cars to choose from and I'll definitely buy another car from them. I'm Very happy with my purchase and experience with Hampden trading Co.

If youre looking for a replacement vehicle, I would highly recommend the staff at Hampden Trading Co. I recently purchased a Subaru Outback from Dave and really felt at home during the entire process. I live approximately 1 hour away and had never dealt with them before, but their business had been recommended to me. I initially called on a Sunday when they were closed and received a return call within 2 hours. I drove there the next day and took a test drive while Dave actually pointed out a few minor repairs that he felt were needed before he would sell the car; I had no idea there were any issues, but he volunteered the information! Their price was lower than every private sale or dealer I researched, but it was the people that made the difference for me. I cant guarantee theyll have what you want in stock, but Ive never found a better dealer in the almost 40 years Ive been buying cars. Any time you deal with someone new, especially when it concerns something as important as a car there is always a concern, but I was put at ease from the moment I arrived. I have kept in touch, love my car and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Believe my review or not anyone can write what they want. If you want to verify what Ive said, just stop by and spend a few minutes there. Youll be impressed.

My issues from the earlier review have been sufficiently resolved by Dave who addressed the situation, heard my concerns and dealt with them. I am still very pleased with the car, the price, and the repairs which were done before I picked it up. The repairs after delivery, were actually control arm bushings. Thanks to Ed and Dave for working with me.

great looking car, reasonable price and many items serviced well before delivery, but after they did their post-sale safety check, the inspection failed when I returned to Maine. Rocker Arm bushings are bad and need replacement. My mechanic locally can fix it very reasonably, but Hampden Trading tells me I have to drive it 3 hours back to them for repair. I am asking for a safe car and for them to honor the warranty and work with me for a resolution. In a different used car purchase, the dealer spoke with my mechanic, and negotiated a price for repairs. Driving an uninspected car is not legal. So do they pay for the repair up here, pay for the towing to Mass, or leave me out to dry? Stay tuned...
