I purchased a 2016 RAV4 at Hansel Toyota last month and I must say I had a 5 star experience. In large part this was due to my sales rep RONA THAU. She really provides the top notch customer service that any business would be proud to provide.Rona is low key, attentive, knowledgeable, positive and has a past employment background that gives her a balanced set of life experiences allowing her to comfortably relate to anyone. She was efficient and yet gave me all the time I wanted so that I could come to my own decision as to what car and what features best worked for me. It was a pleasure having her as my sales rep and obviously I highly recommend her to any potential Toyota buyer.I was also pleased with my experience with the dealership as well, and you can see that the organization values the customer experience. Separately, I purchased some floor mats from the parts department great, helpful, and friendly service. Getting over to the right part of the building, I must have looked a little lost, and I was surprised that a manager noticed he didnt just point the way but rather he walked me over to the area and introduced me to the parts person (certainly not necessary, made me inwardly smile, but a nice touch ..).I rarely am the kind of person that writes reviews, but my experience was exceptional. I am retired now, but I have worked for several large corporations that are known for world class service and I still maintain a critical eye. I dont know how consistently Hansel can provide great service, but I certainly look forward to having my car serviced here for now.A few thoughts on some of the negative experiences others have voiced. Please do some homework before you negotiate your purchase. I would remind you that the dealership would probably be happy to sell you the car at the MSRP. If you want to pay less, you negotiate. A successful experience means neither party feels screwed .. so it is your responsibility to know what you want, explain why you think your numbers are reasonable, listen respectfully to the dealerships numbers and rationalizations, and settle on a price that you both can live with. Good customer service should come at no extra cost ( and get RONA THAU as your sales rep ). Best of Luck !!

Between Hansel Toyota and Ford in Petaluma my experience with both dealerships has been a pleasure for me to be carefree of any services that I have needed. I go back to my very first purchase from then Known as Curtis Ford, in 1966. From that very first transaction to my very last one I have always felt comfortable with the suggested needs for my Toyota, Also I wish to recognize Eric Ulloa for his professional presentation for servicing my car on 12-3-2015

Cameron Park, while new to the organization was very friendly, very helpful, and eager to meet my needs. Keith the floor manager, was very helpful and very well aware of my needs. Sccott the finance manager was extremely thorough in discussing all of the options I had to choose from for the warrantee of my new vehicle.

Great buying experience with Hansel. I originally wanted a Tacoma Limited, but Boon patiently explained the models and features which led me to purchase a less expensive, albeit model that fit my needs! The buying process was non-pressured, efficient and easy. The entire team was friendly and helpful.

Jason listen to my problem, which happened after my 95000 mile check up on a vacation in Wyoming. The electric panel went out, meaning no ability to know how fast I was going and how much gas I had left. The car would not turn off. All of this happened in very small towns. Jason listened check the car out and after research said Toyota would cover the cost of replacement. No" wiggling out" of who pays for the repair. We need more Jason.s in the car service business. The service department called me (vs. me having to call them) to schedule the Perma Plate application on my new vehicle. First off, they had convenient appointment times available. Additionally, the staff was courteous and friendly and they had the vehicle done by the time they said they would. They detailed the car before the interior application and then returned it to me washed. It looked great!

I had my Previa serviced to include a transmission fluid change which went very well. I was disappointed only from the standpoint that my van did not receive a curtsey wash like my Accord at HANSEL HONDA..

I only had to get an oil change and a new battery for my smart key. The service was completed in a timely way. Everyone is courteous and the new dealership is very nice with a comfortable waiting area.

I was very disappointed after spending a big chunk of money to find that my car was not even given a Courtesy wash . This was a birthday gift I was doing for my Son. I had to then take extra time to go wash the car myself then fight traffic for being late. It was an in convince I was not anticipating that dsy.

I have bought my last 2 cars at Petaluma Hansel Toyota and continue to have all my service done there even though I live in San Rafael. The courtesy , honestly and reliability has made the trip from San Rafael unimportant. The last car I bought there is a 2006 Highlander and it is still performing like new thanks to the excellent service department. My next car will be bought from Petaluma Hansel Toyota and it will also be serviced there.

Lost a key and had to have a new one made.Took about 45 minutes. There was coffee, hot chocolate and pop corn while we waited. Very nice while we waited in the temporary shop and waiting room. They also gave a Veteran's discount of 10%.

Went to just look at vehicles and ended up buying 2 Toyota Tacomas. The sales personPatrick Alexopoulos was very helpful and honest. He explained everything and showed us a lot of the features we are very pleased with our trucks and the amazing service provided!

I came enquiring about Toyota products. Hansel staff were welcoming, answering my questions without any undue pressure. Staff member Manny Soudah came forward two times that I came to Hansel and was very informative regarding the features of the vehicles I was interested in. He provided the information I needed, was accommodating regarding trial runs of the vehicles I was considering and did not pressure me. He allowed me the time and space to make my deliberations. I was satisfied with my experience.

I had a minor problem with the ignition switch on my new Scion. It was promptly fixed under warranty. Eric Ulloa, the serivce guy with whom I dealt, was especially helpful and informative. A very good experience.

I've been needing to get a new car for some time, but kept putting it off. A friend of mine suggested I check out the cars at your dealership, saying what a great deal he got on his new car and the fabulous service he had. My friend said to specifically ask for Will Brodt, that he was the best and would help me find the right car for my needs! Well he was right, Will made my car buying experience a pleasure. There was no pressure at all and he had patience with me. He was really concerned with what I wanted and totally delivered. I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience! I will definitely be recommending Will Brodt to all my friends.PS. Can't wait for my 'Forget Me Not' flowers to bloom! Thanks !!

After I finalized my online search, Hansel Toyota was the last Toyota dealer I visited, thanks to Alfred Husary who answered all of my questions. I never expected such a courtesy let alone drive the Toyota that I chose both in the freeway and city for over 50 miles. Go to Nissan Santa Rosa, they will directly ask you what is your budget with out letting you know their price? Go to Manly Honda Santa Rosa, they will never answer your questions, at least that was how I was treated. Alfred you are cool! On explaining and helping me chose between the two RAVs, giving me the lowest interest, explaining the history of the RAV 4, transmission and engine warranty, and making my RAV ready! You dead a great job. Go talk to Alfred, you will never regret it, his hospitality and knowledge is astonishing.

We moved recently to Petaluma, CA and needed to buy new cars. After checking out various dealerships and car makers, we decided we needed hybrid vehicles and opted for a Toyota Camry LE Hybrid and a Toyota Prius C hybrid. We were able to negotiate good prices based on competitive rates offered for these vehicles by other Toyota dealerships in the same regional area. Hansel met our prices and we received exceptional sales service from Alfred Husary at Hansel Toyota. He took my wife and I and my daughter for test drives of the vehicles and explained everything about their operation and performance. He was extremely courteous and also offered us valuable information about our new community. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase new Toyotas and who are familiar with the reliability of the brand.

I am so glad I met Will. We were actually at the Honda dealership looking at used cars when it hit me...why would I want to buy a car that is past it's prime, and that I have no idea what it's been through. Will had mentioned leasing when we walked out to a used car on your lot. I guess I would have to say that the idea just had to percolate for a little bit. Then I test drove the beautiful and cute 2013 Prius C and I was hooked. Leasing is a great option that I hadn't really even thought about. Thanks Will. Great Salesman.

I brought my 2011 Camry in for the 15,000 mile service. I felt they did the minimum because I was from out of state and they knew they would never see the car again. The dealership where I purchased the car always washes the car when I bring it in. I expected that but maybe that is not standard procedure in this area. It is at all dealerships where I live(WA).

Lets face it buying a car is not fun or easy. Trust me I have run into some real good "used car salesman" before especially being a single women! But the staff at Hansel Toyota made it great. I drove over 70 miles due to a friends recommendation and would gladly do it again for the same outcome. Mike, Mike and Deborah were great. Very patient with me even when I kept changing my mind. No pressure!! Mike went over every piece of the car, literally!. Deborah explained options I could purchase and when I declined simply said ok. I leased a new Toyota Camry and feel good about going back there to purchase / lease again when my lease is up.BTW I Love My Car!!

Took my Tacoma to their service department because it was making a horrible screeching sound. The service manager told it would cost a few hundred bucks just for them to take a look at the truck. I explained that I had an extended warranty, he then rattled off what he thought the problem was and said it wasn't covered by the warranty. I explained to him that I had the top level warranty, then showed him the warranty and the item he claimed was bad on my truck was covered. This jerk then immediately told me they wouldn't have time to look at my truck for a week and suggested I drive it 30 miles to Toyota of Marin.

"Bait-and-Switch-R-Us" Although everyone I spoke with was very friendly, this was the most run-around Internet purchase I've ever experienced. The Internet person said they had 2 cars with the model and package I wanted, told me the colors, everything. We agreed on a price, and they said we were pre-approved for financing. When I came to sign papers, it was like a brand new day. I was passed to someone new. The cars were not on the lot. The colors were not available. And it turns out the price the Internet person quoted me was the one if I DIDN'T do financing. Then they went through a series of "We can't do X but we can do Y". Eventually we agreed on an alternative vehicle, with specific color, package, etc. And, of course, a new price. I left my deposit and was told to come back the next day in the afternoon as he was going to spend the morning seeing if he could get the car to the lot that day. (The "if" sounded like it was about the timing of when the car could get there.) When I called about noon, "Well, we can't find a car with that package." What?!?!?! When I'd left we had agreed on a very specific car. I went in anyway. Within an hour then they said they found one that was far away. Not a problem to me. I'm not in a rush. Then low and behold, "It's actually being taken for a test drive as we speak." Then a half hour later, "Oh, it's been purchased, but we can get you this other one" (higher package, different color...you know the drill). In all, I would say we went through 5 alternative offerings. Finally, after a total of 7 hours spent on this project, I walked. It was too disgusting. I've bought cars on the Internet before in Oregon and it was simple and easy, no haggling. This was ridiculous and not at all the Internet experience one expects. I wish I had read this review website first, before going in. I agree, these folks are the same strum and drang. Very nice people. But not what they appear. Don't go unless you're willing to play the bait-and-switch routine.

This dealer, as all "stealerships", will do the very best to rip you off. Even when you come in prepared and agree on the price you are willing to pay for the vehicle and any extras such as extended warranties, they will act like they forgot the deal you just made and go back to talking about the higher price you just didn't accept!!

We purchased a used "certified" Sienna in November 2006. We were pressured into buying the extended warranty. 3K miles into this car, the ignition tumbler goes out, and we are forced to pay $400.00 to get this fixed, not covered under warranty, no effort by Hansel to make this right. A few other things go wrong, and we feel we were sold a bad car. We went to Hansel, willing to buy a new sienna, and explained that we felt that they sold us a bad car, wanted a fair trade in-----they offered us about 40% what we paid for this. In addition, this was a certified toyota, but we found out that this was a car bought at auction from Florida, and that is was a commercial vehicle. Also, the belts needed to be replaced after 6K miles, I don't know what they certified, they suck!!!!

I brought in my Toyota truck for regular service and while waiting for it to be completed I reached a decision to trade it in and purchase a new car. They examined the truck, we negotiated, I paid them the agreed amount, and I drove home my new car. The next day I get a call from the service manager accusing me of skipping out on the $75 bill for service to the truck that they bought from me. I explained that I had traded in the truck and bought a new car from them, but the service manager continued to accuse me of skipping out on a bill and said that their department had nothing to do with sales. I told him I disagreed and asked to speak to the dealership manager. The dealership manager proceeds to get on the phone and lecture me that he runs a business and businesses don't "give away" services. I told him I had just written them a check for many thousands of dollars and I found it staggering that they were treating me this way over $75. Not to mention the fact that they would have done the service on the truck anyway before they sold it to someone else. After another 15 minutes of quarreling and treating a customer like trash, the dealership manager finally gave a big sigh and said that he would "let it pass" this time. Like he was doing me a big favor! These people have no concept of what customer service is and behave like jerks - all the way to the top of the dealership. Save yourself some grief and go anywhere but here.
