Hartway Motors service department diagnosed and explained the bent push rod problem. They kept me informed every step of the way. The lack of new replacement parts slowed the process. Hartway Motors offered a rental car until the work was completed. My compliant is with Chevrolet engineers. The issue of bent push rods is very alarming when technicians and You-Tubers say this is a COMMON problem. They replaced all the the rods on one side, but if I get another bent rod I will abandon Chevrolet products.

If you want a salesman to choose at medina hartway motors dealership, no hands down, choose jed. I have never had such great service anywhere in my life. The guy makes any sacrifice to make sure,even after your vehicle purchase to keep you happy. I can text or call him with whatever issue i might have and he responds within seconds. He doesn't try and sell you what you don't need or don't want, point blank. He is there to give you the best service he possibly can before and well after your purchase. he told me and i quote"It's part of the package deal. I have never known the guy before i purchased my truck as unusal as it may sound because of all of my praise i've given him. Jed is just there at hartway to give you the absolute best expierience he can. I'd recommend him as a salesman to ANYONE! He isn't the typical salesman that tries to push you into buying something you don't want. And no matter what question you have long after your vehicle purchase, if he isn't sure of an answer for you, he will find the answer. Thankyou so much Jed for your ovrt the top service. If there was an option to give 0 stars I would have picked that. Here's my story. Back in April I bought a 2010 Audi A4 from Hartway. I bought it from them because I was looking for a specific year/body style with black interior and exterior within a certain price range. Normally I would have gone through an Audi dealer but I was unable to find exactly what I was looking for. So I bought the car and noticed that a few of the tires were bald. In order to pass inspection they would need to be replaced. So they replaced them and the sales guy, Tom O'Sullivan, who I was working with said that they had to "special order" the tires because they were a rare tire size and were supposedly "very expensive". So he made it sound like I was getting a good deal. Well I looked online and those tires and the brand they put on were the cheapest of the cheap and are only about $55/ per tire. Then I had to take the car in for a 4 wheel alignment and pay $106.92 to have it aligned. Any idiot knows that when you put on new tires you should have it aligned so either their mechanics are incompetent or they just didn't give a crap. Also the reason it was out of alignment and only 2 of the 4 tires were worn irregular was because the rotors and pads were worn irregular possibly due to the sliders in the calipers or the calipers themselves. I just can't believe that they wouldn't have fixed the issue before selling the car. I feel like they just wanted to take my money and make a quick sale. But that's nothing, here's where it get WAY worse. After about 2 weeks of driving the car the oil light comes on and says to add a quart of oil. Added a quart and continued driving. Decided to have the oil changed again and topped it off. Approximately 2 weeks later it came on again. I researched the car online before I made the purchase and didn't see any bad reviews, etc. So I googled the year, make, and model and put oil consumption in after that and turns out that the 09, 10 models have a problem with the pistons that cause the car to burn excessive amounts of oil. About 1 quart every 700 miles, also because the oil consumption issue was settled as a class action lawsuit it does not show up as an open recall. Called Audi USA and they said that they "may" be able to work with me but I would have to take it into an Audi dealer to have serviced and go from there and normally would be covered under warranty but I was over the mileage. So I call Hartway Chevrolet and spoke with Sarah Brower and told her about this problem. She said that she would let one of the higher-ups know about this. The next day I got a call back from Mike Kuhmamn who is their used car manager and sales consultant. He basically gave me the run around and told me what I wanted to hear just to basically get me off the phone. At first he said it wasn't covered under the NYS lemon law and also because I had already drove the car over 1000 miles there was nothing they have to do legally. Well my issue is the fact that you wouldn't have even known if the card burned that much oil without driving it for close to 1000 miles anyway. Then he just told me what I wanted to hear and said that he'll make some calls and see what he can do which was a bunch of crap because I never heard back from them. They never offered to give me a partial refund or to even ask if I wanted to return the car. He just acted like he had no idea about the issue. Well if you didn't know then you shouldn't have bought the car at auction and regardless they should know what they are selling. They never ONCE offered or did anything to try and make it right. I got ahold of the folks down at Schmitt's Audi and Volkswagen and they were able to do the work at the warranty rate and then Audi USA stepped in and covered 20% of that rate. They did not cover it 100% because I was past the mileage warranty but they did work with me and corrected Hartway Motors mess, however it did cost me $2800 for new pistons and rings. Thanks for nothing Hartway. I can see why small dealerships like this are a dying breed and slowly going out of business one by one. Hopefully Hartway Motors isn't too far behind because with the way I was treated and the horrible service and the fact they just wanted to get the car sold they deserve to go out of business. I know a little more than the average person when it comes to cars and for them to not fix the issue with the oil, putting on new (cheap xxx tires) without having the vehilce aligned, or brakes when you could run your hands long the rotors and feel that they were warped and not have taken care of this gives me reason to belive that all they care about is taking your money. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone unless you like getting screwed over. When you buy a car from a dealer it should be in sound mechanical condition and if it needs parts then they should be replaced before the sale. Bottom line is that the dealer should take responsibility for every car they sell and not play the "we didn't know" card. Thanks for nothing Hartway,

Purchased a new vehicle from Hartway motors. I couldn't pick the car up on the day it was ready because the guy who sold it to me had the day off. The secretarial staff that was helping me was too worried about texting whoever she was texting in the middle of assisting me. Took the car in for oil change part of the package deal they never gave me an invoice. Requested several times still do not have a copy. Receive random phone calls that I need this or that done even though I just got the services done. There appears to be a huge lack of communication within the company. I honestly would not recommend this dealership. You would be better off going to one of the bigger dealerships for better service. Better chamce od one person knowing what the other person is doing 5 feet away from them.

Towards the end of December, I decided that I had wanted to start shopping for a new car. I mentioned this to my dad on New Years Day, and to my surprise, found him going through the paper the next morning looking for cars. My brother mentioned that Hartway had a Cruze that would be perfect for me. My previous car had come from Hartway as well, so I was expecting the same level of customer service I received before. My Dad and I went out and looked, and we were greeted by Tom Beach who showed us the Cruze. I liked what I saw, and the features, and we went inside to talk pricing. He asked me my price range, and I told him and he ran some numbers. He got me exactly where I wanted to be. As someone who has little experience with car dealerships, he explained everything that was going to happen, my trade in, and took me in to see Nicole Schumacher, the Finance Manager who called me throughout the day with updates. Nicole and Tom are fantastic. I had my car at 4pm the same day. Whats funny is that I expected that to be the end of my interaction with Hartway. However, I later received a box of amazing cookies from a local bakery, and even a handwritten card thanking me for my business. That just doesnt seem to happen anywhere else. My expectations with Hartway were met, and exceeded. I love my Cruze, and when its time to trade in, Hartway will definitely get my business again. Thank you to Tom, Nicole, and Lisa. This is an amazing dealership and great group of employees. Thank you for making this a great experience once again!

I just purchased my second vehicle from Hartway Motors. Just like the first time it was an excellent buying experience. I knew exactly what I wanted and what I wanted to pay. I went there on Monday night and brought the Traverse home for the night, let Kip know I wanted it on Wednesday and had it in my driveway by 5pm Thursday! Kip Lonnen made my buying experience easy and by the time I got there Nicole Schumacher had all of my paperwork and insurance in order. I cannot recommend the folks at Hartway enough!

I bought a used 2014 Suburban - I contacted several dealers to get complete details on Suburbans that I found online so I could make an informed comparison between them and confirm they had the features I was interested in. Some were able to provide those details, but failed to follow up afterward. Not only was Tom Beach able to get me what I asked, but he followed up afterward. We were able to do the bulk of the negotiating on the phone, which was helpful because I didn't want to drive over an hour to not be able to come to terms. I have four small children and no time to waste on pointless trips. Further, after the sale was completed, Tom was able to meet me in Greece to deliver the vehicle, which was tremdendously helpful. And he quickly sent my EZPass back to me after I left it in my trade. I liked dealing with Tom and his approach to the sale. I appreciated that Nicole did not take a pressure approach to extended warranties and other extras. My only small disappointment was that it was implied we could work the price down (or my trade up) a little bit more than what we had discussed on the phone if I came to the dealership. Aside from adding all-weather mats, there was no change in the pre-negotiated numbers. Despite that, I still feel it was a fair deal, particularly after seeing the list price on my trade. Overall, it was a very positive experience. When the need arises in the future, I would happily deal with Hartway again.

Where to begin? The entire staff made the buying process as easy and streamlined as possible, answering all of my questions along the way. The salesman, Tom, was both friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the car I was interested in, and helped make me feel at ease regarding my choice, despite the fact that my skills with a manual transmission weren't as good as I wish they were when I drove off the car! On following visits he even asked how I was coming along with learning; an unnecessary gesture that shows just how caring the workers at Hartway Motors really are when it comes to customer satisfaction and service. The car...I can't say enough good things about the Spark! It is extremely fuel-efficient, currently averaging 39.8 mpg! I recently took it up to IKEA in Toronto with my fiance to get furnishings for our new apartment, and I was shocked at how much the Spark could carry despite its small size. Even the large bag of items and coffee table left me with some room to spare, and I made it there and back on little more than a quarter tank of gas! Don't let its small size fool you; the Spark is both nimble and surprisingly spacious, and is an overall fantastic ride!

Our daughter made her first dealership car purchase. She went through the entire process with little help from us. She was dealing with Nicole in finance, who suggested she might get a lower interest rate if she had a co-signer. I loathe going to the car dealerships, but what's a mother to do? So, I went. Not only was it a painless process the car salesman she was dealing with, Tom O'Sullivan, was the salesman we had bought 3 cars from previously! I came all the way from Michigan to buy a car here. These folks know how to treat the customer. (I admit, I did live in the area many years ago. I bought mostly parts and service back then, plus a couple of Chevys.) I hope GM does not force them to install the Big Blue "Entry Box" now being attached to the fronts of so many other dealerships. That would ruin the look of the Hartway Motors - not fitting at all. GM took all three GM dealers out of the town I live in now (Lapeer, MI) so I still consider myself a customer of Hartway Motors. Bottom line: Good people.

We bought a used car from this Dealership after doing much research for a used Chevy Impala, we found this dealership had one that had such a reasonable price compared to the local dealers in the area we lived. So we took the 40 mile drive and it was well worth it. Kip helped us with the sales, and he is fantastic! We left there with a beautiful 07 Chevy impala LT. We liked this dealership so much I recommended to my mom who was looking to trade her 10 yr old Honda, Just 2 weeks after getting our car I took my mom out to Kip and all in same day we were driving home in a beautiful brand new Chevy Cruze! Everyone at dealership is super friendly, there were no hassles, and everything runs smoothly, and they explain paperwork in detail step by step so you understand fully. I have never in my life seen or dealt with a dealership this nice! HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WE WILL BE GOING BACK AFTER CAR IS PIF FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE!
