We were a bit leery about buying a rental car but it was the best decision we made. We found the car we wanted way cheaper than at the Honda dealership. I am in no way ready to buy a new car and said "I am just not into making payments again". With that said, not only did he get me a good rate, I am driving away in my Prius same day. As a first time car buyer you can only imagine how intimidating this process can be. However, walking into Hertz I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome by James. He was very helpful, answering any questions I had along with listening to any raised concerns. James made the impossible, possible for me. We talked price range and looked around the lot for what I would hope would be my future car. After narrowing down my options to two, I was able to test drive both. He did not rush me. James took his time and thoroughly explained everything I needed to know. Before I knew it I was walking away with my first choice of car. We came into Hertz looking for a replacement car that was affordable and reliable. James helped us through the process as we test drove several different cars until we found the right one. He worked with us to arrive at a fair payment plan. He let us take the car to a mechanic for a review and test drive it to our pleasure. The coverage is great for the vehicle. Overall experience was fantastic.

Great customer service. Salesman James was very helpful and made me feel comfortable even though cars salesmen have the reputation of being sketchy and not the most amenable of people. Even Jonathan the other salesman helped out when he could even though he was not invested in the process. Everyone there was helpful at every step. I would give this a perfect score however the buying process moved extremely slowly and there was a lot of pushback, particularly from my own father who was questioning my every move. Grew irascible with the lack to any conscientiousness with time and taking too much time getting things prepared. I'm eager to get the car but I really would not want this to occur again. You caught me at a really bad day. Overall, a 4/5.

I came here to get a new car for Uber and James made the process very easy and stress free. Even though it is a process we had great conversations through it all and he makes you feel comfortable like your hanging out with your friends. He is very easy to talk to and gives you great advice. He gets you the best deals ever! If you are your not sure about something he will break it down for you. He is not like other car dealerships I went to were if you say no to something they harass you and make you feel uncomfortable. James does his best to get you what you want. Thank you James! :)

This was the best car-buying experience we have ever had. The other dealershipside didn't have any prices listed on the cars, wouldn't answer direct questions and harassed us all through the lot- BUT HERTZ WAS DIFFERENT. We met James when we arrived and he introduced himself and asked if we had any questions. All I wanted to do was look around- and he was the first person who said "look around, take your time and if you need me- let me know" and he left us alone! There was a price, milage and other info listed on every car. When we were ready, James answered every question without playing games, was honest and actually kept us within out price range. My husband got a great car and we didn't pay more than we planned. The next day, we brought my brother in law in and he bought a car as well. I was wary about buying a rental- but the car is great, fair price and we even got the extended warranty. If you go there, ask for James, you will definitely be pleased. Hertz should know that they are very lucky to have such a great honest salesman. We have a large family in the area and we will all be using James at Hertz from now on. Thank you!

JAMES WAS PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL THE MINUTE WE CAME INTO THE LOT. JAMES EXPLAINED THE PROCESS FULLY AND ASKED US WHAT WE NEEDED FROM HIM. What a great selection of late model/low mileage cars! Jonathan Spadafora was so helpful in my process of buying a nearly new Cadillac SRX. There was no pressure or distracting sales pitches as I moved from test drive to signing. Joe gave me a super price for my trade, and the beautiful 2013 SRX was priced WAY better than the many others I looked at. These are smart, straight shooting guys with heart & REALLY nice cars. So, what's in your driveway? Mine has a stunning 2013 Cadillac SRX!

This is how its done. No haggle, no "let me talk with the manager", no back and forth on price.Just an easy car transaction with no headaches. Great car selection too with easy to deal with people. James was very attentive to my needs from the minute I walked in. I had two vehicles in mind and a budget, he was very careful to help me stay under my budget and still leave with the car I wanted. It is a very low pressure atmosphere and you can tell they put the customer first. Both James and Joe were great and did everything to make sure I was a satisfied customer. The buying process was smooth and easy. I was an informed customer and made sure to research how much my trade in was worth before going car shopping and was pleasantly surprised that I got a very fair price for my trade in and the whole process was haggle free. 24 hours later I'm driving away in my new car. Excellent customer service, James really knows how to treat his customers. I will certainly recommend these guys to everyone I know.

I purchased a 2013 VW Passat SE through Hertz Car Sales in Lynn. At first, I was skeptical about purchasing a car through Hertz, which is traditionally known as a car rental service. However, the first salesman I spoke to, James, told me about how Hertz is now keeping the better rentals and selling them, as opposed to selling them all at auction and letting other dealerships handle the sales process. This is apparently why the prices are so low at this dealership in particular. James was incredibly helpful. If you are coming to Hertz, ask for him! He did not push the sale on me at all. It felt like he was there as a service employee and not as a salesman. He was honest and understanding about my decision to visit other dealerships, but also made the confident assertion that I would not find a better deal on a 2013 Passat with equivalent mileage. He was right. I visited a few other dealerships and felt hassled, rushed, and insulted at the way the ordeal was handled. Overall, the process at Hertz was incredibly laid back and professional. I was given 7 days of free car rentals through Hertz, roadside assistance, and free satellite radio. Although this did not influence my decision too much, it was a nice gesture. As far as the quality of the vehicle goes, it was the lowest mileage 2013 Passat SE that I could find anywhere. It was also the lowest price. Of course the car was previously a rental, but this means that it was properly maintained for the first 40,000 miles of its life before being sold to me. The car is in mint condition with very little cosmetic damage on the exterior. The one concern that I have it that it was missing the floor mats and also was missing a second key. Everything considered, I highly recommend this dealership (and salesman) to anyone in the market for a well-maintained, low-mileage, fairly-priced used car.

I never thought car buying would be that easy. I do not want to sound like everyone else on this review page but the truth be told. I got the car that I wanted at the price that I wanted. James at Hertz Car Sales is my guy, I literally did not feel like I was buying a car. James made me feel so comfortable and stress free. We basically talked and joked the whole time. But what I loved the most was, when it came down to the financial aspect of things, James and Joe worked with me on what I was comfortable with. I basically told them my budget and I got the car that I want exactly in my budget without too much back and forth. I did not feel as though I was being cheated like I did at other dealers. I went with my brother and he's going back to get his car there. I absolutely recommend this place 100%

Complete waste of time! I set up an appointment to view a car and had been emailing the dealer for about 2 weeks. When I went in the morning of the appointment the dealer was nowhere to be seen. He finally arrived half an hour late only to tell me that he had sold the car at 9pm the previous night. I highly doubt he was being honest with me at this point but that hardly matters. I could not believe he had the nerve to waste my time like that. I got up early that morning and drove an hour to go see the car when all that hassle could have been avoided had he simply sent me an email telling me the car was no longer available. These people have no respect!

I was just looking one sunny afternoon last month and I stumbled upon the Hertz Car Sales, just opened on the Lynnway, Lynn. Jonathan was patient with my numerous test drives and answered a ton of questions. I walked in "just looking" and left with a 2012 sparkling white Dodge Avenger. Great car, great sales and the financing was a piece of cake. I would highly recommend Hertz Car Sales in Lynn if you are shopping for a new used car.
