I've had zero satisfaction trying to connect about a used vehicle they have. Was told two times someone would contact me about a test drive. It never happened. Called and left 3 messages for 2 different people with no return call, sent another email that went unanswered. I'm over it and guess I just have to move on. I'm thinking it's for the best.

An unexpected repair was taken care of quickly ... and at the end of the week we purchased two newer vehicles (2017 Frontier and new 2021 Rogue). We've dealt with Kevin Rurka since first purchasing from Hoffman and he is the best ... very informative and no pressure.. Thank you Kevin! The work was fine and all I just felt the pricing was a bit unfair. We had agreed to fixing the brakes for the same estimate since we agreed to get a lower priced catalytic converter. However, the price did go up despite what we were told. Otherwise it was a quality experience.

I set up the appointment on-line (which I prefer). Showed up and dropped off the car and received text updates (which I prefer). Car was ready in 1 day - catalytic converter replaced and tires rotated. Runs great !!!

My wife and I have had our Prius and Leaf serviced in several states. The experience at this dealership for waiting was the least favorable. The other locations had lounges where juices, water, coffee, and snacks were readily available for those waiting. This location had just coffee and hot water.

Service was oil change and tire rotation. My person was very friendly and I didn't feel like a dummy when we were going over the auto status report, which I appreciate. Also, I did not feel like I was being swindled with regard to repair work recommended. I actually enjoyed my wait while watching HGTV and having a yummy pumpkin spice coffee. Very pleasant experience.

Not being from CT, and having my car break down was a nightmare. I brought it to Hoffman Nissan nearly in tears and couldn't have expected or received greater customer service than I did here. Rocky gave me a rental car, and offered to drive my car back to Massachusetts and drop it off to me if the car wasn't fixed before the time I left CT. I know nothing about cars, and Rocky and his team took their time to make sure my parents and I understood everything that needed to be done and why. As a young girl, they made me feel very comfortable getting back behind the wheel of my car without feeling like I had been taken advantage of.

Bought a new Nissan Altima from Hoffman Nissan. I was treated with great beast respect by our sales person MIQUEL. He was accommodating and knowledgeable and very sincere. He explained in great detail the features of the car after we test drove it. Brian Clark worked very closely with us. He along with MIQUEL were very friendly and answered all our questions and concerns. They made the entire experience go very smoothly I wouldn't hesitate to buy another car from Hoffman Nissan. They did not care about me, it took 5 hours to trade in a lease and three hours were spent waiting on their couch for the Finance Guy and no one came and checked on me or asked me if I needed anything. When I finally went and complained about the wait time to the manager, told me he would give me some of the pizza that they just ordered and asked me to give him a fist bump!! Really?? Do I look like I am in Junior High School! How inappropriate! The finance guy made me feel like I was wasting his time and after I finished with him, no Manager or GM came and thanked me for my purchase. I just got the keys from the Sales Guy and drove away. No one offered or bothered to show me the features of car, which I am still trying to figure out. It has been two weeks since I bought my new car and no one from the dealership has called to thank me or see if I have any questions or even if I like the car. Will NOT be back, not even for service. I went there because it was close to my house. Next time, it will be worth the drive to a Hartford or Middletown Nissan dealership where at least someone will pretend to appreciate my business. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else! A little bit of customer service, goes a long long way.

"Well four months ago I took my car for the regular car service and let me tell you that I had the best experience at the 'Nissan Auto body center' because beside the excellent servicing of my car, the staff member Mr. David Cyr treat me respectfully and in a gentlemanly fashion. My car Nissan Rogue 2016 was served within the time range I didn't had to wait extra hours. Most of all after my when my car was serviced the associate explained me in details about what was serviced.In general, I had the best experience so I will highly recommend others to particularly go for their car service."I will definitely give Nissan Auto Body a 5 STARS for their excellent customer service.

There was virtually no transparency in the sales portion of the purchase of my new Murano. I was never told that one of the rebates was expiring the day I made the deal. Hence I was at the dealership from 4:45pm to 8:15pm. "We are very busy because of the deadline on the rebate, but it will only take a few minutes for you to sign the paperwork". A few minutes turned into over 3 hours. It was all about getting us in the financier's office to listen to the sales pitch for extras (extended warranties etc...Also there was no transparency that the rebate that was expiring that day had some fine print that was never revealed until the last minute. "Are you financing the car? If so, you MUST finance through us, or the rebate is null and void." Even though many times (during the 3 hour waiting period) I reiterated that I would only finance through them if they matched my lowest offer from other financiers would I finance through them, they never mentioned the conditions of financing being tied to the rebate. Upon picking up the car, the salesperson had very little knowledge of the workings of the car. She was only concerned in getting us in and out as quick as possible and having us sign-off on her iPad that she had "reviewed" the car with us. All in all, a less than pleasant experience.

Last week I decided I wanted to lease a new Nissan Leaf (my second) and within 3 days I was driving the vehicle of my choice off the lot with a better deal than I imagined and with the support of everyone there. My husband and I have bought multiple vehicles from the Hoffman Group over the years, usually Toyotas and have all vehicles serviced there. All personnel is friendly, caring, and respectful. We will continue to trust them with our car-buying needs.

Words cannot express how I felt when I was told by a local service station that the HORRIFIC smell coming from my vehicle was that of a dead rodent!!! I was told to go straight to the dealership as they are the only ones who could properly take care of this mess as the entire dash would most probably have to be removed! Upon seeing my vehicle with most everything (including all seats) removed to search for the rodent, I was calmed by both the Service Mgr, Rocky and Asst Svc Mgr, Justin who assured me my veh would be completely returned to it's original state smelling sweet with all new upholstery and filtration system. 2 weeks, One Act Of God insurance claim, a rental vehicle, 2 business trips and and one minor surgery later, and my vehicle is back in my possession! All I can say is THANK YOU to everyone at Hoffman Nissan in Simsbury for making sure this job was done right, timely and according to my insurance company's standards!

I just couldn't believe what I saw in my driveway last night. I had to check several times. Earlier in the week I had set up an appointment to check out a new Nissan at 2:00 PM. on Wednesday Sept 21, 2016. By 6:00 PM I drove home in my brand new Pathfinder. I had no idea that could happen. Amaury met me at the door and led me to a chair in his office listening to me explaining what I wanted to purchase. He explained they did not have the color I wanted but he was sure he had a car in a different color that I would like. I really didn't believe him because I only wanted a certain color. He asked if I would just be willing to look at this color. He was not pushy just certain I would like it. I fell in love with the Pathfinder and the new color. I wanted running boards, Amaury arranged for them to be put on immediately. He called to insure & register my new car. The warranties & final finance paperwork were handled very courteously by Kirk By 6:00PM I was happily on my way home.

I have had the far best experiences with Hoffman Nissan service department. Justin Derench had an open ear for all my complaints for my past dealer (service) I dealt with. He was able to get my car in on a Saturday morning for an oil change, tire rotation and a recall. He kept me post through out the day. Have never had that happen before. I was always calling and checking up on. When I picked my car up, everyone had a smile on and was very friendly. "It felt like home". Great atmosphere.

I purchased a new Nissan Rouge this past week from Hoffman and was very pleased. The circumstances for having to purchase a new vehicle were not by choice. My car was totaled in a very bad accident. Stephanie my salesperson was very pleasant, not pushey at all. My questions and concerns were answered very well and when the car was delivered to us everything about it was explained very well! I had no problem getting used to the new technology of my car.The financial part of the experience was also handled very nicely for us. I came to hoffman nissan after several bad experiences at another dealership. I bought my 2013 new at the other dealer along with an expensive extended warranty, but every time I brought my truck to them with a warranty issue, I got no satisfaction. Every noise or issue was normal and they could never locate the problem, but they had no problem charging me 100.00 an hour to poke around. It was as if the vehicle had no warranty. So this time I decided to try hoffman nissan, and I was shocked at the difference, the service rep was great, didn,t play any games , and the techs located the problem and fixed it. I was impressed. It was a terrible feeling finding tat my Nissan frontier truck had been attacked by mice/chipmunks - chewing wires like no tomorrow! Working with Justin made the experience less painful! He kept me informed on a regular basis through the entire month that the truck at Hoffman's - waiting for pairs, repairs to be made.Thanks,LindaOnly problem that I did not fully understand - I have a coupon if I spend over a certain amount I can save - I was told this could be at any time!! Was NOT able to use it since it was an insurance claim, but I still spent $1000.00 of my own money. I did not appreciate being told no by the Service Manager! When I came to Hoffman Nissan, I had already been shopping at several other dealerships without much success. No one was listening to me or making any attempts to find what I wanted. My luck changed for the better when I when I stopped in and met Kevin Rurka. He listened to what I was looking for (a late model, used, small SUV) and ended up putting me in a 2016 Rogue for just a few dollars more than I was planning to spend on a used car! To say I am thrilled is an epic understatement! Kevin was patient, professional & funny. He listened to my needs and has put me into the SUV of my dreams! I've had my 2008 Nissan Sentra serviced at 4 Nissan service centers (Balise Nissan in RI, Central Ave Nissan in NY and Harte Nissan and Hoffman Nissan in CT) in the years I've had it and have moved across states. Hoffman Nissan were a very pleasant surprise after Harte Nissan. So far Hoffman Nissan have been very informative about repairs that need to be made, not pushy and most importantly have given me a time frame during which I need to do the repair before the car is unsafe to drive. I brought my xterra in for an oil change. Part of the promotion on line was a hand wash of my car (this was done very poorly) and an inspection. A prior insertion of my vehicle stated that my brakes were low and needed to be changed. On this inspection my brakes were noted to be normal and no need for any maintenance. This makes me question the inspections being completed at your facility. I had a similar episode happen to me when I purchased this car fromHoffman.

My wife recently experienced a problem with our 2010 Maxima while in the Avon area. She stopped by Hoffman without an appointment. The service team promptly brought the car in and ran a diagnostic test. They were unable to find any issue but still took the time to go for a test drive with my wife. The car appears to be running ok now. They did not charge us a diagnostic fee. The service was professional and friendly. I only wish they were located closer to where I live! They would my first choice of service provider for my Nissan!

Be sure you DEMAND that your "requests" be done, right when you ask. Or you will end up shocked after you have signed all but the final paper and then STILL get lied to by their financing guy (Kirk) about interest rates (double what it should be~according to other lenders ) and "mandatory warranties" that add over $2000 to the price of your vehicle and you're not told about it unless you notice it and point it out and ask , they DO NOT work in YOUR best interest. Not to mention we did not get our plates and registration when we should have, so we couldn't get our vehicle inspected within the 7 days after purchase (according to Mass Law) ~ BUYERS BEWARE! VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMERS!

I have never ever been to a service department more organized and more efficient in all my years of owing a car. Not to mention, the time estimate quoted by the service department was exactly the amount of time that I had to wait!! Also, the lounge in which you wait for your car allowed the time to pass very quickly. There was a computer station, tv, coffee machine, snacks and soda. I will definitely recommend this service center!

Manifold and flex pipe replaced for free due to Nissan recall. That was a very nice surprise. Windshield was replaced, but was not aware that my insurance policy covered windshield replacements free of charge. My insurance company was good enough to allow me to submit the bill/receipt for a refund (which is still processing). I had my car looked at by my mechanic before bringing it into the service center to avoid any unnecessary repairs/costs. David Cyr was very nice to deal with. Always have an 'idea' of what is wrong with your car before taking it to any dealership.

I bought a new 2015 Versa Note last May, and I've so far had nothing but good experiences at Hoffman Nissan. The salesperson I worked with was Kevin. He greeted us in the parking lot when we arrived and was very friendly. I knew exactly which car I was interested in when I made my appointment, but I appreciated that he had a very laid-back attitude and I never felt like he was pressuring me into a sale.Since buying the car, I've continued to bring it back to the dealership for service. I've found the prices for oil changes and other routine service very reasonable, and being helped by David in the service center is always a pleasure. He is one of the most excellent customer service representatives I have ever worked with. He always greets me with a smile, is upbeat and friendly, and is honest and upfront about the work to be done. If there are any problems they notice with the car, David will come sit down in the waiting room with me and explain it. As a woman, I also really appreciate that the guys here are never condescending, which is very common at other car places.

I had scheduled an appointment to look at a Nissan Sentra that was being advertised on the internet. When me and my wife arrived we were greeted very kindly by the floor manager and Kevin Rurka was assigned as our sales representative. We test drove the car and I was leaning towards purchasing this car but there were some things that I wanted to make sure were taken care of if I was to move forward and pull the trigger on this car. Kevin re-assured me that all of my concerns will be taken care of. Kevin was not pushy at all during the sales process and we appreciated that. I purchased the car that day and was able to take it home same day but I would have to make an appointment to come back to have some things done that we agreed Hoffman would do, e.g. very small dent on hood, replace rubber stripping on top and replace one of the wheels as it was badly scratched. Kevin coordinated everything for me to come back and have everything taken care of. I am very pleased to say that everything was taken care of exactly the way I wanted it to. I will save Kevin's business card and refer my family and friends to ask for him when they are in the market to look for a new car. Thank you Kevin for making our car purchasing experience a pleasant one.

This dealership plays all the old games from years ago. The "let me go talk to my manager to see what I can do to get better price". Worst of all they wouldn't give me anything in writing and schedule the business manager go over all the final documents once you come back to pick up the car. Then they slip in all the changes and hope you don't notice. It got to the point where I couldn't trust a word they said. The best was when the business manager tried to sell me on the extended warranty by making negative statements about the manufacturers' warranty coverage (if transmission goes they'll try to prove it was your fault due to the way you drove the car). Why would I trust the extended warranty then?

This was the best experience I had so far in my last 10 years. I was having an issue with my CVT transmission and the service engine light was on. So, I contacted the dealer and the service representative (Justin at Hoffman Nissan) did his due-diligence to find out that my CVT was covered in warranty by Nissan for 120k mileage or 10 years whichever comes first. This saved me $5,000. I was very happy to hear that. This is called customer service and I am more than satisfied with my experience. I will definitely recommend Hoffman Nissan for their honesty and due-diligent customer service and customer satisfaction.

After a seemingly endless search for a vehicle I needed yesterday, my sister and I found our way to Hoffman's for an SUV from Autotrader. Fortunately, the Kia was there and Stephanie, a very professional, friendly and helpful salesperson found it and I was able to see and drive it quickly. I did look, briefly, at a few other vehicles from an impressive selection of used but I came for the Kia. Stephanie didn't waste any time trying to sell me something I didn't want or couldn't afford (as had several other dealers!). My good mood was dampened by far too long a wait for the finance person's (Kirk) getting together the 'paperwork', especially since I was paying cash. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star review. My price rating would be a 5 star as well since the Kia was well priced but I do take issue with the 'dealer conveyance fee'. To be fair, Hoffman's is a good bit less than others but dealers don't go to the registry anymore and "The dollar amount of this fee is not regulated or set by the State". It took about a minute to submit the Plates transfer on-line and Insurance even easier via a phone call. I drove the Kia home. I did have my own mechanic check out the vehicle even tho I was very happy with its condition - everything listed was well done and the SUV in really great shape. I recommend Hoffman's and will go there again should I be in the market.

We needed a reliable car to handle our daughter's commuting to college but we also needed payments she could easily take over once she graduated. Paul Moxam helped us get both. He made sure we saw all the colors of the Nissan Sentra model she liked and she found one she fell in love with immediately. He walked us through the leasing steps, explained the warranty and showed us the different payments based on the down payment we were comfortable with. He also gave us ample time to discuss the choices among ourselves so we never felt pressured and knew the decision we were making was based on facts and that we were comfortable with it.This is our second purchase from Hoffman Nissan in a little over one year. I brought my 2005 Nissan Maxima in on Saturday because it kept stalling on me. I drove right up to the service garage and right in. I was met by David Cyr and Juan the second I stepped out of my car. I explained what was going on with my car within minutes My information was taken and Juan took my car to the back to look at it. I had someone follow me so I can run errors while they were looking at my car. I left and not long after that I received a phone call from David Cyr stating that Juan had found the problem and that with my permission they were going to start working on my car. They weren't sure if they had one of the parts they needed but I was given the option of a loaner car if my car had to stay over night. Five minutes go by and David called back and told me that they had the part and my car was going to be ready that day. All together it took less than a few hours to get my car done which would of took someone else a day or two and the price was less than what I expected. I have been other places and Hoffman Nissan service has topped every other place I have been. David was courteous, friendly and has amazing people skills. Juan is an amazing and an efficient mechanic. After the excellent service I received I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I give these guys a 5 star rating.

It turns out that I didn't need the recall work, but I was glad to know he would have promptly taken care of the issue if necessary. I waited in pleasant surroundings until the service was complete. I worked with Paul Moxam to purchase a 2012 used Nissan Altima. He was very helpful throughout the process and was polite and fair when it came time to negotiate price. Being a used car, it had a few issues with it (some minor dents/scrapes as well as a blown speaker). Although we agreed on a price that was based on leaving a tough to remove dent on the door, Paul and the team at Hoffman went above and beyond and fixed it anyways. I brought in my used jeep to have it looked at as a trade in after a separate dealer low balled me on the trade in price. I had my eye on a used pathfinder and after driving it i knew i wanted it. Paul did what he could to get me the money i needed on my trade in vehicle and i was able to purchase the nissan that i wanted. On October 30, 2015, my family and I went to purchase a new SUV for my wife. We went to the Hoffman Auto Group located in Avon, to test drive a Nissan Rogue, Toyota RAV4 and a Honda CRV. We spent time with sales associates from all three manufactures, but the person that stood out the most was the Nissan Associate, Stephanie Samuelson. I found her to be extremely professional, personable and honest. After speaking with the sales manager, she presented us with various options for purchasing the Rogue; all of which I found to be extremely reasonable. While we did not end up purchasing the Nissan, I would and have referred friends interested in purchasing a Nissan to Stephanie Samuelson. And when it comes time for me to replace my Nissan Truck, I will only deal with Stephanie Samuelson of Hoffman Nissan.

The experience at Hoffman Nissan was so good then, I went there first. Stephanie Samuelson greeted me at the door. After I explained to her what I was interested in, she found just the right vehicle, which I bought. The car is easy to drive, economical in gas, comfortable with good back support, and attractive in appearance. It also has the rear view camera, which is helpful. Stephanie clearly explained all the details of the car to me, and she and the financial department came up with a fair cost price, including trade in of my old car. I couldn't have been treated any better, and am very satisfied with Hoffman Nissan and its staff. I wouldn't hesitate to do business there again in the future.

I have had my ancient Honda serviced at Hoffman for years, and they have always taken the extra step towards helping me and that heap stay on the road. When it was time to finally retire that car, I knew I had to stay with the Hoffman group. The entire process was painless and quick (a high compliment from someone who does not like negotiation or paperwork). I got a fantastic deal on a great car, which was all that I wanted. Everyone at the dealership seemed more interested in my outcome rather than their own. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I'm sure they will help keep this car on the road as they did with my Honda, and in 15 years or so, when I retire this one, I'm sure I'll be back for the next car.

I was lied to by salesman PAul Maxom, the general manager, and just about all staff. It took 6 weeks to get back my refund check I put down on a car, which I was told would be sent within a week. I left 10-20 messages with no response. Working full time was hard to get down there and get my check, but finally had the opportunity, thanks to them lying to me about mailing it out. Customer beware! They are xxxx bags who don't know the meaning of customer service at all! Worst experience with a dealership in my life!

I had an appointment for simonizing. My salesman was on vacation and gave me a person to ask for. I arrived for my appointment. Contact person also on vacation. No one seemed to respond to pages and phone calls while I was waiting. Told to drive my car into garage. Still several minutes before a person arrived. No record of my scheduled appointment. I was asked if I was planning to wait for my vehicle. I said yes. After 1.5 hours I thought I should follow up as I did not see my vehicle being worked on and no status report. Vehicle had just been taken in and the inside detailing was being done. I asked for my car back and said I would schedule another appointment. Initially my salesman told me the process takes about an hour, so this is the time frame I planned on. Set another appointment. Called my salesman the day before to work out details. Many options were offered, I elected to drop vehicle and get loaner. Arrival time8:30/9:00. My salesman was in at 11:00. My husband waited 50 minutes for loaner. And, to top this all off, the job was less than stellar!

I turned on my Nissan Rogue and all the warning lights came on, and stayed on. I knew that the dealer would need to see it with the problem happening, so raced to Hoffman's service department. It was a Friday at 1pm, with several people waiting, and I had no appointment. They took me right away, and said it "might be a while." They kept updating me, over a period of 4 hours. It was a tough problem! They realized that it was being caused by a computer "glitch" which was part of a recall. They took everything apart and rewired the computer. Big job! And they didn't charge a penny! The service manager was so nice, and kept apologizing for the delay. I was just thrilled to get it fixed! Superior job.

I came in for an oil change. It was the first one since purchasing my car so it was complimentary. I had also noticed a nail in my tire. Instead of just putting a plug in it, Justin had the tire removed and patched from the inside instead of just putting a plug in the hole. I log almost 1,000 miles a week so I'm glad he recommended that it be fixed the right way.The waiting area is comfortable; couches, tv, computers. I can be productive while waiting for my car instead of just waiting which makes things seem to take longer.

Based upon other reviews, I took out 2003 Murano to this dealership due to serious transmission performance problems. I found the staff there to be courteous, professional, and quite open. They provided estimates and updates on thecondition of other areas as the work progressed. The even took care of a recall item of which we had previously been unaware. The provided a loaner as well, which was a 2015 Maxima with barely 600 miles on it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Our primary adviser was Justin Derench, whose knowledge is incomparable

I had a mechanical issue with my 2104 purchased from Hoffman Nissan. It couldn't be driven, I asked if a technician could meet me where the car was to diagnose the problem. Service Manager, Rocky Subramani, called me back within the hour and said, though his crew couldn't be offsite, he would meet me to see if the issue could be diagnosed. David Cyr was very professional and instilled trust in Hoffman's service dept. Another dealership said I needed a new timing chain. David double checked with the technician to make sure mine was OK. For a modest fee he changed the oil and filter provided by me. He detailed what is required with respect to the 60,000 mile service and I was sold only what the car needed and nothing more. I have a 2014 Nissan Versa Note and the back windshield wiper broke off during a recent trip to the car wash. I called Hoffman Nissan for the part and they said they would keep one behind the desk with my name on it. I went to pick it up and the guy behind the parts list got it for me and offered to install it on my car at no charge. He solicited Rocky for help and the two put it on my car for me. Then when Rocky learned I was out of windshield wiper fluid, he told me to pull in the garage and filled it up for me at no charge. Overall, this trip to Hoffman, was a great experience.

About 4 years ago I purchased a certified used Altima from Hoffman Nissan. Well a car accident sent me shopping for a new car. Or a used car. The first place I thought of was Hoffman. I looked at all other car brands but after owning my Altima for 4 years with absolutely no issues I set my sights on another one. Why buy new when a certified preowned is just as good. I walked in and was greeted by the smiling face of Rhonda Jones. Then I made my way into Kevin's office. He made me feel very comfortable. After speaking with Kevin for a bit Rhoda took me on a test drive. I came back and was determined to purchase the car. So I headed into Kirk's office where he thoughly laid out all my financing options. Parting with a good chunk of money is never easy. Purchasing an automobile is like buying a home. It can be very stressful. Especially when you start looking at the bottom line. But the team at Hoffman made me feel relaxed. They made me feel like family. Kyle even stopped by to shake my hand and shoot the breeze. Keep in mind I was purchasing a certified pre owned car. I was treated with the same respect as if I was buying new. Rhonda showed me all around the dealership. She made sure I knew where to go for service. She had detail clean my car top to bottom including a spot I asked about. Once my 2011 Nissan Altima SR V6 was ready for delivery everyone shook my hand. Well all except for Rhonda. She wanted a hug. Rocky Subramani's commitment to customer service is phenomenal! He showed me that he was there even over the phone to help. He was able to to assist me and He turned a very bad experience with Lia Nissan into a great experience at Hoffman Nissan. On Saturday Feb. 14 I stopped by Lia nissan in Enfield with low tire pressure. The woman in service was eating Taco Bell, rude, unprofessional, lazy, unwilling to help and blatantly lied to me about how my wheel and tire coverage worked. She insisted that I pay for a tire that was covered under my NSD contract that I purchased through Nissan. She refused to do the work required to obtain authorization to cover my tire which had a nail in it and could not be repaired. I knew that I could count on better service from Hoffman so I called while I was still waiting to get help at Lia. Rocky assured me that the tire would be covered and explained the procedure. After much hassle and many hours of wasted time I left Lia nissan with a spare tire and an appointment to have my tire taken care of at Hoffman. On Wednesday I went to Hoffman and my tire was replaced without Hasssel and timely and it was covered under my contract.

After our 09 Murano was totaled we were looking for a replacement. It didn't take long for my wife to find the 2015 Murano and after a few visits to local dealers for test drives, we were sold. Problem was the vehicle was JUST released and the color/option combo we desired was rare (only 25 existed in the US at the time). After calling around to our local dealers, it was clear we had to expand our search.Hoffman Nissan popped up in our search and after a quick call we had a tentative deal set up with Kevin. The deal was then handed over to Paul and we set up a time to come down. Being that we lived 2 hours away (each way) we wanted to limit our trips to the dealer. 99% of the process was handled over the phone/email, which was great. They even visited the RMV and my insurance back home to handle registration!The only hangup in the process was a mixup with plate delivery (since it was bought out of state) and not being asked to put on VINEtch/dealer name. However both were handled when asked. Overall I would highly recommend Hoffman Nissan whether you're local or far. The team is awesome and I could see buying another car with them. I can't speak to their service as the Murano is brand new, but the service bay/people were very friendly.

I loved interacting with John. He was very friendly and personable. When I came to pick up my car, he spent a lot of time explaining all of the features. I really appreciated that because there was a lot I didn't know. He was great during the test drive and kept us entertained while waiting for all of the financing details to be worked out. I would definitely trust him to sell me another car.The price for the vehicle was good and the financing rate was lower than the pre-approved rate and loan that I had set up with USAA. I took the Wells Fargo loan offered by the dealership. I also bought the extended warrantee and the additional warranty for the lost keys and tires. I was buying a used BMW and I had been advised by friends and relatives that these were good things to get.I found my car on the internet while doing a search for a low mileage, not more than three years old, BMW. It was the lowest priced 2011 3 series sedan that I could find that was automatic and AWD. The website said the mileage was 16082, but when I got the car it was 17123. That was a little disappointing. 1000 miles more is quite a lot. I had a few extra hoops to jump through because I live in MA and purchased in CT. Also my insurance carrier is USAA and they do not have a MA office, so the paperwork had to be overnighted to San Antonio and back. I bought on a Thursday and could not pick up until the following Saturday. The 8 days was long time to wait, but could not be avoided. I did call twice to check on the progress. If I had to be critical, I would say that I would have liked a call or two during the 8 days that I was waiting just to give me an update without having to call myself. I got a call on the Friday after purchase, but after that, I was the one doing the calling.Thanks again for my "new" BMW.

I am writing this review a week after the transaction. I was in the market for a used car and found a really good price on a CPO Altima on Autotrader at Hoffmans. I called the main number at 8:30am and told them I was interested and would be there by 10:00am. When I arrived JB introduced himself and was the guy with whom the appointment was scheduled. It was a rainy day and the car was ready to go (one of the salesmen had been using it and it was pretty dirty inside-but its a common practice and I knew they would detail it if i decided to buy it). After the test drive I wanted to take a pretty thorough look at the car-even though it was CPO, I always look over any car with a fine tooth comb. They let me pull it into the shop out of the rain and let me kick the tires. JB was very patient and helpful at answering any questions. I found a few things wrong but they were fixed before I left. I decided that I wanted it and I was introduced to Kevin-very professional and it came down to numbers. They gave me a more than fair value for my trade, and the price was already very low so there was no room for negotiations. I was OK with that. I already was pre-approved but if they could beat it I was going to use their financing. That's where my only complaint is with my experience with Hoffman's. I met with the finance guy, Tim. They were able to beat my rate and it came with a 500 dollar kicker which was nice. He then went with the very hard sell on the extended warranty's. Maybe he thought I would be an easy mark (I had pretty much rolled out of bed-wasn't exactly dressed in my Sunday best). Had to endure about a 15 min. lecture on why I was making an irresponsible decision, also was called crazy and a gambling man on my "investment" (whoever thinks of a car as an investment is the crazy one). He had pictures of his girls and has to put food on the table so I understand this was probably the only part of the transaction they could make any money on. I negotiate deals and large sales every day at work so it was just irritating to me-but for the average Joe I think it would have been extremely uncomfortable and considered borderline harassment. But after that was finally over the paperwork was painless. I walked in the dealership that morning thinking about buying a car and they got me in a new registered car by 3pm. They also offered to fix the CEL that came on 75 miles after I bought the car with no hassle. Overall the experience was good, I would definitely recommend working with JB or Kevin- just be prepared for the badgering by Tim if he ends up being your numbers guy.

Hoffman should have tires in stock for the vehicles they sell. I am sure image is very important to Hoffman but for us consumers, or at least me, performance as a dealer is more important. Town fair tire was able to solve my problem in a 2 minute phone call all the while waiting for a return call from Hoffman service about finding a new tire for my new car with 2600 miles on it that I bought from them. I had to call Hoffman back to tell them I am all set because I did not want them to "order" a tire for nothing. Now I do not expect anybody to bend over backwards for me. But I do expect the dealer who wants my business to be able to service my car with a well stocked parts dept. Having a PAIR of tires of the sizes and brand of tire on the cars they sell only seems like common sense to me. I really do not think I will be returning to Hoffman for service or sales even though they are in my backyard. I think a new management team should be an option. Your facilities are beautiful.

I visited due to a recall notice on the ECM on my Altima. Justin greeted me when I opened the car door, looked up my car and found it had 2 other recalls I did not know about. He explained how long it would take to repair and showed me to the cleanest waiting room I've ever seen!,I chose to use your computers and look at your inventory while I watched the service person put my car on the lift. I saw Justin talk to him. He came back in to tell me what needed to be done and gave me a brochure with items that needed work . I chose to do 2 of the items because my husband can do the rest. I asked if they could give me a ride to the Farmington Valley Shopps while I waited and Justin arranged for Larry to take me. Both Justin and Larry were very pleasant and professional. I returned later after a voice mail from Justin, and picked up my car. I am thoroughly impressed at the professional, friendly and quick service I received.mi have not been to a dealership in many years and I can say it was a great experience at Hoffman. Stopped by Hoffman Nissan just to look at the Frontier trucks. Mark, a salesman came out to talked with me, and after going over the truck, then talked to Kyle the sales manager on my trade in and an offer. A good offer, with No pressure at all. After returning home called back with some changes to the offer, went well and accepted the offer. When accepting the truck, all went well and was treated with great respect. I contacted Jessica Andreoli about a used car they had listed online. I told her I was interested but I told her I need a certain price. She said it would be no problem with a good credit history and the amount of money we were looking to put down. She gave me an appointment time and told me to ask for Michael Greene and that she will have the car up front for me. I show up to the dealership and was passed off to some random sales rep. He goes to look for the car and disappears for 20 minutes. After waiting for him outside where the used Rogues were and not seeing him while we were out there, he comes back from inside to tell me that the car is not there. After that he says that it does not matter because the price I was quoted was not in the ball park. Really, the email I have from your dealership is not valid nor do you have the car I was interested in. He then proceeds to tell me that they have other cars there that he would like to show me. Wow, a dealership that stills tries a BAIT AND SWITCH. If this was the mortgage or financial services industry these people would be going to jail for these type of practices, instead this dealership continues to practice business this way. STAY AWAY from Hoffman Nissan if you want to do business with a honest place.

By far and away the worst experience that I have ever had purchasing an automobile. Over the past 6 months, we have found that the car has been missing basic things like the wheel lock key. My experience with Hoffman was nothing but great. Paulette and Justin went above and beyond for my purchase of an Altima! They brought the car to my place of work for a second test drive. They repaired all cosmetic issues on the car before I took it home at no extra cost to me. They also brought the car to me once the repairs were finished. Everyone was readily available for any questions I had and I was left with a great buying experience. Thanks Hoffman!

Lied to, cheated and put off. They let me drive for 10 days unregistered and uninsured. Then they laughed about it. Refused to deliver what was advertised and what was promised until I spent hours raising a stink. Checked my aftermarket Warranty that I paid the dealer for and the warranty company told me the policy had been suspended due to non payment. On further investigation, it turned out that they signed me up for a far lesser policy than I had been sold. The dealer once pressed resolved that situation as well. Repeated calls to upper management were never returned. Today while at coffee I ran into someone that was just going through the exact same crap. To date 2 months after purchase I still have not received what was promised. I would strongly recommend that you pass on Hoffman and find a more honest dealer.

Found a 2012 Murano on the lot that had a fairly loaded package with features I might not have added if they weren't already present. Hoffman Nissan gave me a great trade-in on a Honda Odyssey and a wonderful discount to make room for their new 2013 models. The staff was courteous and very well informed about their product and gave me as much time as I wanted to test drive the product (which I did twice). They even offered to let me take the car overnight if I wanted to really try it out.

I recently decided to upgrade my 2010 Nissan Murrano and obtain more options. In the past, the sales people talked to my husband. When they called to see how e still liked the carand, or, 'had issues', they directed their comments to my husband even though the car was mine. This infuriated me. When I entered Hoffman Nissan this July, I was greeted by Michael Greene, the General manager. He assured me that would not happen, and to my surprise, it didn't! My salesman, John Petuch was wonderful. He made the experience a pleasure. There was, one big issue. After buying the vehicle, I had to return to sign some papers that were missed on the purchase date. I arrived on a Friday morning and was kept waiting for an hour to sign my name twice. The Business Manager had no customers in his office and was informed several times that I was waiting. When he did show up, he was rude. This unfortunately overshadowed my day. Hopefully, the Business Manager was just having a bad day and his was not his standard behavior. I do LOVE my Murano!

Sold me a car with bent rim and unbalanced tires, it took , no lie, ten trips back over 10 weeks for them to fix the problem. This coupled with them not having the correct price of vehicle at the time of sale really made this an awful expierience. They had the tax added in twice to the sales agrrement which added 1200$ to the price of the car. I was warned by an acquaintance that they may try this so I was looking for it, but could easily missed of you are not paying attention. Would not recommend them at all. One of worst sales experiences in my life. If u do purchase there definitely watch them do you'd safety inspection. As I doing this review I am still waiting for the correct center cap so I can never have to talk to Hoffman Nissan again!!!!!!!

Purchasing a new vehicle from Hoffman Nissan was a wonderful experience. I was treated with kindness and respect from the first phone call with Nicole straight through the financial piece with Mark in finance. Mark Zavartsky was informative about the vehicle and helpful with option choices. He was friendly and fun and made purchasing my vehicle a very comfortable experience. It is hard to believe there are so many good reviews on Hoffman Nissan...last year I went for a 30000 mile maintenance for my Titan which was working very well till then. It went all downhill from there...My battery suddenly died at the dealership whereas it was fine till then.The 'must do' repairs amounted to $2000 dollars: I got the front brake pads done only. Yesterday i looked again at the list of the items that I HAD to get done back then... They still have not caused a problem, so I guess i am glad I did not spend all that money.When the mechanic showed me my worn out brake pads before I devised to replace them, I noticed a leak below the truck that he had not even seen! Come on, oil was leaking, I am not sure how he had missed that.After the fact I realized that my rear differential oil was leaking but they did not see it either.The worse is that the truck started making a loud noise right after my visit to Hoffman Nissan that never went away. I am not sure what they did to my truck when they did the 30000 mile maintenance, but they surely damaged my truck a lot. I will never go there again!

I live in Rhode Island and visit CT on the weekends. Hoffman Nissan was worth the ride. Mark Margolis worked hard to find the exact car I was looking for at a great price. Mark and the General Manager were professional and informative. The follow up from Mark was timely withut being annoying. Purchase options are explained and offered but there is no hard sell. If you are buying a Nissan, this is the dealership to go to - and, no I am not a relative - just a very satisifed customer!

I went to the Hoffman website and then called them about their special "internet" price on a new Frontier. I was very happy with the number I was given so I setup an appointment for early the next day. Armed with that number (which I was already happy with) I went into the dealership prepared to negotiate my trade. I had already done some homework on financing opitions, so I was all set as I had a rate in mind.Upon arrival I was introduced to Carmen Mazzarella, the salesperson assigned to me based on my appointment. Not only did he honor the price quoted, but he was able to do significantly better with a differnet cash back option, offered a very fair trade on my old car without any negotiation, and offered me a pretty aggressive finance rate. Needless to say I was impressed with the entire process. I drove home with a new truck that day.Very smooth experience!

I am from out of state and this was the first time I brought my Pathfinder to Hoffman for service. I had been at the service garage in the past when a friend who was getting their vehicle serviced. I was impressed with how polite and thorough they were. When I ran into an emergency one day when I was in town, it was clear to me that Hoffman was where I wanted to take my vehicle. From the minute I drove into the service garage customer service was their number one priority. They listened to the problem, focused on diagnostic and was clear with their plan of attack. They communicated well throughout the process. Most impressive was their commitment to finding a needle in the haystack type of a problem. They didn't just settle for the simple solution. They tested everything and made finding the true source (not the symptom) of the problem their number one priority. I never felt pressured or that they were selling something I did not need. Prices were reasonable for a dealership service garage. Most importantly, their number one concern was the same as mine----the peak performance of my vehicle from a safety perspective.

After a horrible experience with a local Hyundai dealer in Manchester, CT, we were VERY pleased with the no-pressure, willing-to-deal sales staff at Hoffman Nissan! Frank initially supplied an email quote within a few hours of our request, which was honored and then some. We ended up with a great deal on a 2011 Sentra 2.0SL in the exact color we wanted (Red Brick), which they expended great effort to find! From the moment we walked in, we felt they were folks we could trust, especially since we were pre-approved and had a good trade and a significant amount of cash in hand, ready TO BUY! The other dealer let us walk, along with another who was ready to drop $38K (yes, 38-thousand)! All we can say is what a difference going west of the (CT) river made! We feel sure that we will be taken care of on future service, both in and out of warranty...The dealership is spotless and they obviously CARE about their customers. Thanks to all at Hoffman Nissan for a pleasant and quite frankly, stress-free experience! We will be recommending them for a long time...

While getting an oil change at Hoffman, I asked them to check my soft tire, and they discovered an issue with my valve stem. I held off on my repair and contacted Nissan USA to request that they cover the issue. Shortly after, I was getting new tires put on my car at a tire shop and I was told that the issue existed on two of my four tires, not one as I had previously thought. Not only was this an issue, but they couldn't put on two of the tires because of it. I contacted Mark at Hoffman, frantic about replacing two I and was very overwhelmed by the repairs at hand in addition to new tires. Nissan had contacted the dealer and the repair was thankfully approved by Nissan. When I explained to Mark that the issue actually existed on two tires, he assured me that if two valve stems were affected by this issue, they would replace two. I drove to Hoffman with 2 new tires, 1 spare and 1 old tire. They promptly got my car into the shop, replaced both valve stems, put my 2 new tires on, and even washed my car. I really appreciated Mark's effort and that they covered the additional valve stem with no questions. Mark at Hoffman Service definitely went above and beyond for me during the repair of my car.

On 3/21/11 I brought my Pathfinder in to Hoffman for services. I found Jose Hernandez to be friendly,helpful,and polite. I mentioned my need for an everyday car with better gas mileage. He put me in touch with Mark Zavatkay,who called me the next day to arrange a meeting. I test drove several different vehicles.Mark took the time to listen to my concerns as well as my needs for a 2nd vehicle.On 3/29/11 I purchased a 2010 Nissan Versa.I am certainly a satisfied customer of Hoffman Nissan. This all started with a 120k servicing where the level of Customer Service was great at drop-off and rental car coordination. During this service, it was discovered that I had a leaking axle seal and was told they had to get part and would probably need it for another day. The great news is Joe got the part in from another dealership and it was fixed.All seemed good until I saw a pretty good leak from the same area of the work the next day, so returned and it was identified that the seal was accidentally damaged during the install and I waited while they fixed it again. The great thing is the WiFi connection which allowed me to work while waiting...in fact, they were waiting on me as the Murano was fixed quickly. Bottom line, issue solved!A few days later I notice leaking oil around the spot I would expect an oil leak form the oil pan or maybe from the oil filter...Joe told me to bring it in and he and Sean met with me...remarkably, I was staying calm as I realize my Murano is worn and figured it could be something else...well, it was and it was a doozy. The ball bearings in my transfer case were worn allowing transmission fluid to leak...Sean said it could be a $3k job, but said he would talk to the Nissan Rep because they have seen this before. Bottom line, Nissan said to treat it as a warranty repair to keep pricing down AND split the overall cost 50/50! In addition, they found a leaking power steering hose when the transfer case assembly was out, fixed that with no charge...they also did an alignment at no charge! They even cleared up a dust guard issue causing a noise while driving...again, no charge.I stopped bringing my car to another Nissan dealership where I purchased the Murano because I felt like an enemy instead of a customer and changes at a local shop made me try Hoffman...actually, a very minor and small customer service moment with their parts manager really made me feel like they may treat me like a valued person and at least have empathy for things...all soundly backed up by Joe, Sean and Juan. I will keep coming back based on this experience!

Dealing with an autobody shop can often be a intimidating experience. I feel I speak for the average citizen when I describe my body of knowledge on auto mechanics as limited. Since my driving days began I have routinely given my keys to a stranger in the autobody shop and trusted them to be honest and forthright with me and to service and make repairs to the best of their ability both from a time and cost perspective. Dealing with Shawn Pinto, the service manager at Hoffman Nissan in Simsbury, CT, has been a refreshing experience. Shawn's philosophy is one that sees the customer as a partner rather than just a potential revenue source. For starters the entire team at Hoffman is extremely friendly which speaks to the friendliness rating above. The workers have been upbeat and polite each time I have been there. The customer service has also been outstanding. For instance when I missed the shuttle bus on my last service appointment one of the mechanics was happy to offer me a ride to work. On a previous occasion when the dealership was late finishing the service I was comp'd with a free oil change for my troubles. More recently I was told I needed new struts on my car. I originally purchased my vehicle used from Hoffman but had only driven it 6k miles up until this point. I expressed to Shawn my concern about having such a large repair so shortly after purchase date of my vehicle. In a true sign of goodwill, Shawn agreed to fully compensate me for the struts and performed the work for free. Additionally, when I picked up the vehicle it was fully washed and looked terrific. It is for all of these reasons I rate customer service as excellent.Regarding price I gave it a Good (4) rating. Dealerships often have a higher margin than regional mechanics on many labor intensive services. However, after benchmarking prices against other mechanics I felt Nissan was still very competitive. In terms of quality of work it is honestly hard for me to say as I mentioned I am no expert. So far I haven't noticed any issues with my previous repairs and I guess time will tell. So far so good though!Overall given the excellent customer service, friendliness of staff, competitive pricing, and quality of service I would rate the overall experience as excellent. Shawn is a top quality service manager and his philosophy on service resonates with the entire department. I look forward to NOT having to worry about the handling of my auto repairs for as long as I own my Nissan.

I had a positive and rewarding experience at Hoffman Nissan in West Simsbury recently, and I would like to share my experience. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. No high pressured sales and only honest, courteous and trustworthy professionalism. From my salesperson, Mark, to Liz, the account manager, right up through Steve, the General Manager, everyone worked hard to put me in my Frontier SL at a fair price. They even gave me a fair and honest value for my trade-in. Way to go guys! The people at Hoffman were courteous and friendly and willing to serve. We were offered refreshments and the manager made it a point to introduce himself. They worked with us to get what we wanted rather than selling what they needed to get rid of. All this said it took way too long. We arrivd at 11:50 and did not leave untill 6:15 which made it a really long day. Although they were apologetic it should not have taken that long. Beside the time spent at the dealership we were happy with the finished results. I am now a proud owner of a quality used car. I would recommend Hoffman to my friends but would warn them to bring a book.

A pleasant sales experience! The salesman was very nice, listened to what we were looking for and in what price range, and took us for a test drive. There was never any sales pressure but instead asked us if we had some time to go over some numbers, we said yes, and went into the sales manager's office where he turned his computer screen around so we could see where he was getting his prices from and what he paid for the vehicle. The price he quoted was actually less than the "What others are paying" price that you find on Edmunds.com for the same model and options. We said we were going to get a few more prices that day, he didn't hesitate to thank us for stopping in and if we had any questions to give him a call. We left there a little stunned, not at all what we expected and then stopped by 2 other Nissan dealships where we got the ol' usual. (won't get into it here but see my review of County Line Nissan) My wife and I are going back to Hoffman this Saturday to purchase a new Murano. An A+ for Hoffman Nissan and sales manager Dondi!
