I set an appointment for servicing my Honda to correspond with the appointment I had across the street at a cosmetology school, but at the last minute when I arrived to drop off my Honda for servicing, I got a call from the school letting me know that they needed to reschedule my appointment. The person at the service desk said they would be happy to reschedule also, which was wonderful.

I loved getting my car from here. They worked with us and tried to be as flexible as they could be on pricing. They showed all the features of the car and were extremely welcoming and friendly. I do not regret my purchase at all and even after all was said and done I noticed a scratch just before I left with my mom, they were more than willing to fix it.

Our 2011 Honda Fit (wonderful car) is on the airbag recall list. Not because 2011 Fits have specifically had any issues, but just as a precaution. Honda of Ames is giving us a loaner until the parts are available. We call that service above and beyond. We will use Honda of Ames for our servicing and purchasing from now on.

R Daugherty agreed to replace wipers, both filters, vehicle inspection and correct front wheel vibration. He said it was done. I found it wasn't. I took the car to Wilson. They agreed with me. They found dirty cabin filter, front coil spring broken and water pump leaking. Of course, I could not drive the car. Daugherty tacked on another $6,400.00 which I had not agree to. I notified the Iowa Attorney General to get the refund of $6,400.00 which took another 94 days. Daugherty is definitely a "used car" snake salesman who is concerned only about HIS pocket and not the buyer's safety. He thought he could TAKE this lady but this lady fought back. I played dumb to see if he would lie and he did over and over again. I would advise to stay away from this dealership in Ames. There are so many other great dealerships. Just go to Wilson and work out a fair deal. Great dealership from Sales, to parts, to service. Very caring.

We are a family of 6 who recently purchased a used 2013 Honda Oddyssey van. Brian Fox was our car salesmen. He went above and beyond by staying late to close the sale (a babysitter was at home with our kids, so it was an ideal time for us to finish things up, and not have to come back in!). He also stopped by our house on his way into work the next morning so that we wouldn't have to run back to Ames from Ankeny an additional time. He was kind, not pushy, and knew his stuff. We were thrilled to find a used van in such wonderful condition at Honda of Ames. We will gladly be recommending both the dealership and Brian Fox to friends who are looking to purchase a vehicle.

We have purchased two new cars from Honda of Ames. This dealership is top notch in our opinion. Friends who bought cars here had recommended it. We too will recommend it to other friends. We were able to get a good trade in deal through Lee Muller on our new CRV. This car suits our needs to a tee. Lee answered all of our questions to our satisfaction and pointed out features we hadn't thought to ask about. He really knows all about the cars he's selling. Nice personality too, which reduced the anxiety of trading cars. We think of him as our 'go to guy' at Honda of Ames. If only more dealerships had personal like Lee on staff. The whole dealership seems well managed and the sales reps are trained to give the customer the proper amount of attention. Not a bunch of hungry high pressure types. Our experience with the service dept has been stellar too. .

Even though I didn't buy my Honda from this dealership I am treated with the same respect and service as if I had. If you make an appointment your work is done promptly (I am referring to typical servicing as I have not had to have any major repairs). The entire staff from the office to the mechanics (I'm sure they aren't called 'mechanics' now--perhaps 'computer assisted technicians') are always friendly. I highly recommend Honda of Ames.

We actually came in to pick up a fuse we had ordered for our '86 Honda wagon . I had talked to Aaron Warren when we brought our 2014 in for service earlier in the year and we discussed the new Fit. My daughter in Illinois leased a new CRV at the end of last year and I really liked it, so this time I decided to look at the CRV . I fell in love and I'm STILL in love!! My husband and I talked and left and came back and we now drive the most beautiful car on the road. Of course, I happen to be prejudiced! Our experience was great. Rich Anderson was kind enough to help us while Aaron was busy and then Aaron took over. He went way above and beyond any expectations we might have had. Everyone we encountered made our day a very, very nice one. Scott Shaben was so helpful in getting us on our way. This is my 6th Honda and we still have 2 of the others. If I'm still living in Iowa and decide to buy another one, this is certainly where I'll be coming. Great Experience!!!

We were driving home on Interstate 35 when we started to have car problems. We were still an hour and a half from home, but needed to leave our car in Ames. We left our car at the Honda dealership and put our key in the drop box. I called first thing Monday morning. I explained the problem we were having to Max and he was wonderful in explaining that Hondas were known to have this problem. He explained that if it were spark plugs or a piston ring problem, Honda warranty would cover the repair. We also needed an oil change (covered with the piston ring, not covered with the spark plugs) and some preventative maintenance. He explained all the charges. Thank you for your friendliness and your ability to explain everything!! You are AMAZING!!!! Thank you so much!!!!

I have purchased four cars from this dealer, and I have always received first-class treatment as a buyer. But even more importantly, the service department has and continues to be first-rate. I recently took in the van I bought for my disabled sister, and the service manager Mel took personal care to see that everything was taken care of properly. We needed a strut replaced, and it was covered on the used-car warranty we got with the van. There was NO charge for part or labor, just as it should be. Plus, Mel and the other service personnel, including the shuttle driver, are always very friendly as well very competent.

I am totally satisfied with Honda of Ames. I turned in a 2013 lease and purchased a 2016 Accord during Happy Honda Days. Aaron Warren (salesman) was great to work with. He made sure I got the car that best fit my needs. Josh Beving (finance manager) worked diligently to get the best financing for me at a rate I could live with. There was a little misunderstanding with my lease end after the purchase, but Josh resolved it quickly and to my satisfaction. This is my third Accord from Honda of Ames, and I have always used their service department. Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I highly recommend them.

I do not tend to like the process of getting a new car. Richard, Jim, and another guy (ask Richard, he will know) make it so much fun and painless. Together they were able to get me a lower payment than my original lease with more features on my Civic. We had a lot of laughs and they are so helpful and understanding of what it means to work within a budget. No pressure to get something more expensive-in fact the exact opposite! I have never had a better experience and as long as they work there they will have me and my daughter as customers as well as anyone else we can talk into going. You guys are helpful, understanding, tolerant ;-), and so much fun! I really cannot say enough good things about my car leasing experience with you! We have never purchased a vehicle other than in my local area where I knew the dealer and/or salesperson & honestly had some reservations to begin with but we were unable to find the vehicle we wanted locally so we took a chance on a long distance purchase. I have to say everything we were told by our sales person who contacted us following our initial inquiry regarding a vehicle which was already sold, was accurate & truthful. Aaron notified us that there was another vehicle on order by his dealership that was the exact model & color we wanted. We were very pleased with Aaron Warren's service & expertise who went out of his way along with Scott Mattis in the finance dept, after normal business hours to make sure we were able to successfully complete the purchase upon making the 1.5 hour trip to Ames late one evening.

The man who sold me my car was wonderfully kind and patient. I appreciate him working with me in getting the best deal for my new car and also for working with me on my monthly payment. My experience with the Holmes Honda in Des Moines was outrageously disastrous and I vowed never to go there again which is what brought me to the Ames Dealer instead. I couldn't have had a better experience. He made me feel very comfortable and I didn't feel talked down to or taken advantage of at any point during the process.

After living in Ames over a decade and having to fix/service my cars numerous times, I have to say that the service guys in Honda of Ames have my trust now. They are professionals and know what they are doing.The sales department is a different story. I bought three Honda cars during the last ten years, none of them at Honda of Ames. There prices are inflated, the offers on trade-in cars are laughable, and they are not in a mood for serious negotiations. So I had to buy my cars (used and new) in other Iowa dealerships, and I expect to do the same in the future.

We bought a 2015 Odyssey from this dealership and took it in for its first oil change. They said it was leaking oil around the head gasket. Head was warped and needed to be planed. Major engine repair. Obviously happened in the factory, but the dealership was not interested in helping us. We wanted to trade for a new van and they just wanted to make things worse by first, not wanting anything to do with us and then offering us $3,000 less than trade in value on our van - For something that Honda should have stood behind in the first place? The most horrible lack of caring or customer service that we have ever experienced. Honda Corporation wouldn't stand behind their product any more than the dealership. As long as it is under warranty, they will fix it. But with a major engine repair like that, it is likely we will have more problems so we have to worry every time we drive it. Don't ever buy anything from Honda, OR this dealership!!

I have had some recent bad luck lately, and have had to spend a lot of time at local car dealerships in the past couple of weeks. Honda of Ames absolutely blew every other car dealership out of the water. They will do everything imaginable to get you the vehicle you want at the price you desire. I am absolutely thrilled that I went to this dealership and we were able to make it all happen. If you are ever in a bind or just looking to update what you're driving, I would highly, highly reccommend Honda of Ames. Their team is ready to pretty much hand everything over to you on a silver platter just to see you walk away with a smile on your face. In need of a new car after totaling my car that morning, didn't have much time to look around for the best deal. Went to all the other dealerships in Ames IA and even looked online at the surrounding area dealerships for available used cars. The last dealership we visited was Honda of Ames, upon taking a quick run through the dealership had a great deal of cars to offer at reasonable prices. The particular car that caught my attention was a Black Honda Accord 2012. Within a few minutes of looking at the particular car we had a dealer greet us. He asked the normal question, if we were looking for anything in specific, of if there was anything he could help us with. We wanted more information on the specific Accord because it had no information tags due to being put on the lot that morning. The Dealer, Bill treated us like a normal person, not someone he was looking to sell the first car he could to us. Didn't try to push the sale at all, didn't try to talk the car up to the best it could be, just simply let us know the basic details of the car (miles, trim, previous owner). He let us ask the questions we wanted to know and gave simple real answers. After test driving the car and getting back to the dealership, Bill still didn't ask if I was interested in purchasing the vehicle, he let me ask him. To me this is how I prefer to buy an expensive investment, I want to make the decision without someone pushing it on me like he just want to sell another car. Bill worked with us on all requests. The dealership had one of the best prices for this 2012 Honda Accord, beating almost every online result I could find, even on the exact same car with twice the miles on it from another dealership, half way across the country. While talking over the price, Bill also went over some of the other cars in the lot that had about the same specs and requirements I was looking for, to make sure I was making the best choice I could for myself.All said and done, I could not have asked for a better salesperson than Bill, no push salesman looking to help you find the car that is right for you, not just the first car he can get you to buy like most salesman are. Really appreciated the time he spent with us and his honesty and treating us like a person or friend, rather than a buyer.

Was impressed with time in and out. Went in with appointment to change oil. Husband said to tell them to rotate tires but they suggested it before I could mention. Accommodations were comfortable during the wait with coffee and other refreshments available, as well as wifi and a tv if you wanted to watch.

My experience was wonderful, customer service was smooth and efficient. I had purchased another vehicle in January and had excellent service, both with the sale and with scheduled service and minor repair,. so I had spoken with the salesman about the need for a vehicle for my daughter sometime soon. Patrick Daugherty went above and beyond expectations, contacted me when he found a vehicle that he thought would work for us and arranged to get the van I purchased to my house as I didn't have another driver to help me out. I value effiency, and I was very pleased when our dealer, Mr. Fox, rather than showing me a bunch of cars I didn't want, quickly figured out what I was looking for, and showed me that. He asked me what I wanted, and really listened to my specifications. He didn't try to push me out of the price range I told him, which I also appriciated. Mr. Fox was helpful, competent and straightforward. Furthermore, he was friendly and upbeat in all of our communication, but I never felt that he was disingenuous. I found the perfect car for me, with his help.

Absolutely fantastic experience, the salesman was friendly and outgoing, he offered choices, answered our questions well and found us a wonderful vehicle. Though we were not ready to buy at our initial visit, he was incredibly helpful, followed up with us a few days later and was there to make the sale when we made our decision. The sale was smooth and when we were ready to go, the car was spotless. I've been driving my new (to me) Toyota for a little more than a week and have been very pleased. I would definitely recommend stopping at Honda of Ames to shop for a car.

Lee Muller was the sales consultant on the purchase of our Honda Odyssey EX/RES. We especially appreciated his knowledge and expertise. We found Lee and others in the dealership to be friendly and helpful. Lee's communication with us was exceptional. He not only e-mailed us, but called us several times to let us know about the progress of the delivery of our van. After a bad experience at Toyota of Des Moines (asked for $200 down payment before they could run my credit app) I was discouraged and gave up on getting a new vehicle. I currently have less than perfect credit and expected a rate of 9.9% on a used car like I am receiving now. Working with Doug was a pleasure. He turned my car buying experience around. Made it a pleasure and did all the leg work. He got me into a BRAND New 2014 Nissan Sentra with a 0.9% rate. I could not believe it! I got $1,500 dollars more for my trade than the other dealership offered me. I am so pleased with my new car the the way I was treated by Doug. Let's not forget JT from the wonderful finance dept who worked so hard for me. I will be back for maintenance and oil changes and refer everyone I know to Honda and Nissan of Ames !

went to this dealership looking for a used vehicle. found one within my price range. Asked the dealer if there were any mechanical issues with the car and he assured me there weren't. I asked at least 2 more times about any issues just to make sure and was told that they look over all their used cars and fix any problems. So stupidly I purchased the car trusting they were being truthful. Took it to reputable mechanic that I've dealt with many times and whom I know I can trust. They did a thorough inspection and handed me a list of $2000 worth of things that needed fixed. I went back to Honda of Ames and showed the manager the list and asked why I wasn't informed of any of these issues. He tried to blame it on the mechanic. Claimed the mechanic was just trying to get money out me. I asked if they (the dealership) was willing to help pay for some of the expenses of getting it fixed and was told no, they weren't going to help. He offered to let me buy another car but at that time I was so frustrated with them that I didn't want to have to deal with them anymore. I would never ever ever buy a car from them again.

I had an awesome experience buying my used 2008 Honda Accord last night at Honda of Ames. Doug was extremely helpful and willing to show me many different vehicles on the lot. He was very patient and professional with us from start to finish. We were there until almost 10:30pm but we got her done!! That's dedication to the job. period... I can't say that I've had a better car buying experience anywhere in my history of buying cars, both new and old. Went with wife and children and purchased a car. Brian was friendly and accommodating. Was knowledgeable about the cars he was selling. Answered the many questions we had and gave us our space as we were discussing the purchase. The car was priced very competitively. There was not pressure on us to make the purchase, which is a plus. We made the purchase. A couple of observations for improvement for the dealership - like many they have too many cars close together and not much customer parking. The detailing was pretty good but could have been better, corners, upholstery, folded down back seat and found candy wrapper. These did not stop us from making a purchase. I would highly recommend Honda of Ames and salesman Brian Fox.

Was just looking at inventory and had no intention of actually purchasing the car that day, but they worked with me and we arrived at a price that I felt was fair to me. I was able to get the combination of options and interior/exterior I wanted, finalize the deal, write the down payment check that evening and pick my Civic up the next morning. But the bad news is, with the Civic's reputation for reliability, I am not expecting to be shopping for a new car again for a bunch of years. Sorry about that, guys.

Purchased a used vehicle. Within a week we had problems, but of course there was no recourse. Two garages identified problems with the car. Honda of Ames reportedly towed the vehicle back to their garage to look at it, but said there was nothing wrong with it. Turned out they drove it to Ames from Des Moines when they said they would have it towed. We learned a sour lesson and would neither purchase nor recommend Honda of Ames to anyone.

I went into Honda of Ames with just the intention to find out what my trade was for my 2007 Honda Civic. I was told honestly that private party would get me more, which I already knew so I pursued to sell my car. I went in and made sure I would be approved for exactly what I wanted and how to go about getting it. Adolfo answered or returned every single one of my annoying phone calls with numerous questions and sat down with me and went over every detail. I felt comfortable knowing I was getting the best deal and I was treated like family. I then sold my previous car and they rushed to get me financing and even found me a better rate and gave me an amazing deal! I walked into Ames Honda looking for a vehicle to replace our current van. Adolfo put me at ease upon my first visit, sharing with me the similarities and differences between the Sienna and Odyssey and being up front about their drawbacks. That and my own research online allowed me to make a more informed decision when it came down to purchasing our new Honda Odyssey. I appreciated their willingness to work with me on price and while I felt my old van was worth a little more than they did, I'm satisfied with the price I paid. I was really impressed with how well they covered features of our new van with us, making sure we understood different aspects of the many functions, warranties, etc. They answered our questions and offered to be there down the road should others arise. They also showed us where to report at their dealership should we require service, accessories, etc later. Doug was very thorough. Overall great experience. Friendly people.

Our experience was wonderful! The van we were hoping to test drive had already been sold so Doug found us another van to look at. We really appreciated that he thought of our needs/wants and found another van for us to consider. We test drove the van and it was a great experience. We found two concerns with the van, but we addressed those and they are being fixed. We are grateful that the dealership fixed the problems so quickly. We had an outstanding experience. I don't know how it could have gone any better. I knew I may need to replace my current vehicle sometime within the year, but wasn't at all sure what I wanted. I stopped by the dealership one afternoon and happened to meet Adolfo. He was very helpful listening to my situation and helping me sort out what would be best for me. I drove several vehicles my first visit and really liked his approach, very easy to talk with, very well informed, not at all pushy but more interested in helping me get the vehicle that's best for me. A few weeks later, I ended up deciding to replace my current vehicle sooner than anticipated so emailed Adolfo one evening. We exchanged several emails quickly and he worked with me to the point where my wife and I drove to Ames the next evening. She drove the Honda Fit and we agreed that's what we wanted. We had expected we would have to return a few days later to pick up the Fit, but to our surprise they got it ready for us while we did the paperwork, credit app, trade-in, and even stayed open an hour after closing time! Couldn't have had a better experience--highly recommended!

Adolfo was great - attentive but not pushy. Arranged for an extended drive (3 hours) so I could make sure the Fit fit my hip. Price was excellent. Easy finance staff (Ben) went the extra mile at the last minute. All people at the dealership were friendly. Showroom and waiting room extraordinarily clean and light. Really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this dealership to anyone - Adolfo did an excellent job - and I love my FIT! I am the retired Hamilton County Treasurer and have found Lithia's paperwork was submitted in a timely manner with minimal errors. Title staff were courteous and knowledgeable over the phone.

When I drove the Honda CRV I was impressed with the salespersons familiarity with the vehicle and that he took the time to explain the car to me as well as show me how everything worked, even before purchase. He has done follow-ups after the sale to ensure I don't have any questions and make sure everything is okay with the vehicle which I appreciate.We were able to agree on a price for the vehicle fairly quickly. The experience of pricing the trade took a little while as did the financing, but all ended well for both parties I believe. I've been very pleased with the car so far in the 4 days I've owned it and believe it will be a good purchase going forward.

He was straight forward in his approach and really made what can be stressful into something very palatable. I specifically came to look at one car, a pontiac g6. They were firm on the price, however dropped it as i agreed to pay for the fabric protection and undercoat protection on the car. The price came out even, but i'm happy to have a "free" service.

Ames Honda was a remarkably refreshing experience. I'm normally not impressed with salesmen. I pride myself in walking away from the gimmickry and scripted non-sense that they're constantly exposing us to. The culture here seemed to be different. Most car dealerships appear to be clean and pleasant. Ames Honda was certainly no exception but the people I met there were truly exceptional. Kyler Krogman, the young upstart who sold us a Honda CRV, made us feel like he was working for us and not Honda. Even after the sale he spent a great deal of time re-reviewing the cars features and treating us more like friends than customers. A big thank you also to the service manager ( should be a salesman) Jeff, whose input was very, very valuable and gave us confidence in our decision. Thanks also to Doug who is amazingly professional. Finding a trustworthy business is rare and finding Ames Honda was truly an unexpected pleasure.

Wow, one of the easiest and best car buying experiences I've ever had. Doug and James took great care of me and were super friendly without the "fakeness" of some salesmen. When I had a question they answered plainly and openly and really knew what they were talking about. We were considering Honda for a while and stopped in around 4 o'clock and began visiting with Doug and some of the other staff and felt very comfortable with them. We finally decided on a CR-v and began the process of completing our order. My wife had a meeting that she needed to attend and the sales people went overboard to get things completed in a timely manner.

3 years ago I was shopping for a new car. I visited several dealerships and test drove several cars. I found a Honda vehicle that I liked and I visited two Honda dealerships. I didn't feel that either one of them were giving me a fair price for my trade or on the new vehicle. I contacted Honda of Ames and they gave me the best price for my trade and on the new vehicle. Great experience from the time I walked in the door until I drove off in the new vehicle. Forward 3 years - I did the same thing, doing research, going to diff dealerships, test driving cars. I decided to purchase another Honda. I visited a local Honda dealership and again I was not given what I thought was a fair price for my trade or on the new car. I contacted Honda of Ames, told them what I was looking for and very quickly they provided me great pricing on my trade and on the new car. As in the past, it was a great experience. Great salesperson (Tom Wishman), great selection of vehicles. 5 out of 5 stars.

Lindy made purchasing a car easy and without worry. This is normally a terrifying task for a first time buyer, but Lindy went above and beyond to make sure I understood all aspects of the buying process. He worked around my crazy schedule, even coming in on his day off because it fit MY schedule. He explained everything in layman's terms to me so I was able to fully understand what was happening at all times. The only thing I was disappointed with is that I paid 17k for the car that was one year old and when I picked it up it only had a quarter tank of gas. For that price I think you could at least fill it up so I don't have to stop on my way home and do it. Other then that I think they did an excellent job. Very happy with the car so far.Thanks Todd Spear

Mr. Krogman set out from the beginning to find us what we wanted in the price range we had set. He continuously proved himself through all his efforts. He made himself available after we had first left, not finding what we initially were looking for, and didn't "hound" us for a sale, but set our needs and our desires first. We actually left the dealership and headed to Des Moines to look for cars. On our trip down, as my wife and I prayed to God for wisdom and guidance, we both turned to each other and agreed that the personal attention, integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness., was worth paying a little more for an automobile. So, we turned around, met back up with Doug, and he found us what we were looking for in a monthly payment we could afford. Thank you for providing "higher end" service.

Lee Muller spent some time with us when we looked at the new Honda CRV. He explained a lot of the technology with the new car(helped us setup some items before we left the dealership), answered many of our questions, dealt with us in a professional manner, treated us well, and is very willing to follow up with us later. I had a great experience working with Rich Anderson and Jim Meadows at the Honda dealership in Ames Iowa! The entire staff were very friendly and helpful. Rich spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and showing me a number of auto options there. He also helped me weigh my options between purchasing or leasing and gave me a lot of information to help me understand which may be a better choice for me. Jim was also helpful in explaining things to me and assisting me in making my decision to lease a new Honda which has been great so far. They have also already followed up with me to see how I like the new vehicle and I haven't been driving it for even a week yet. Very impressive as I have not had other dealerships I have worked with do such a good job. Thanks Honda of Ames!

It was a great and pleasant experience. Initially, I was looking for a decent used car, but I ended by leasing a brand new Honda Civic. As I am not driving long distance, I am happy that Pete convinced me about the benefits of this leasing contract. The paperwork was done in a fast manner. I entered the dealership around 2 pm and a few hours later I was leaving it driving a brand new Honda Civic. I love my car. A Honda will always be a Honda.

I already knew what vehicle I wanted to buy (Honda CR-V), and knew what options I wanted on it. I checked the Honda of Ames website, and they had the vehicle I was interested in, so I put in a web request to be called. Received a call from them the next day, and was referred to Doug Krogman by the internet lady (whose name escapes me). Its a 60 mile drive to the dealership, so I told Doug that if I was going to come down, I needed a firm price right up front (I did not have a trade). Long story short, Doug gave me a firm (and very good!) price, and I made the drive down, test drove the car, and he sold it to me that very day. Buying a car is always a little stressful (its a lot of money, and you're stuck with whatever decision you make for quite a while), but Honda of Ames made the process as painless as possible (and much better than my experience has been with some other dealerships). Paperwork was tedious but necessary, they explained what other stuff (fabric protection/paint protection/etc.) that they had, but did not hard-sell any of it..which was a relief. The car is great, the dealership experience was super. Doug was absolutely outstanding to deal with, he listened to what I needed, and took care of my needs. Next time I buy a new car, I will definitely shop Honda of Ames.

Lee Muller was willing to spend the time with a consumer who was reluctant to commit. I wanted a new car but was unsure of almost everything except my budget. He had the patience and the expertise to take me through several scenarios. His follow-through was very thorough; I came away feeling that I had made an excellent choice and an excellent deal. If Lee is a reflection of the dealership, I am confident my further contact will reflect the same level of service. Based on further communication from the dealership they appear to have a strong commitment to the customer. I can not thank Patrick (Randy) enough for his professionalism and concern for the customer. I walked into the dealership not sure I was going to be able to purchase the vehicle that i had picked out, and just knew it was for me. Randy went well out of his way to do everything possible to get me into my new car. He stayed well past closing to make sure we could make things work and texted several times to keep in touch with what was going on. When I went to pick up my vehicle that he promised I would have, I went on my lunch hour, there i found more effiency and friendliness from Randy. Randy is an amazing person and is a great asset to your dealership. I will highly reccomend him to anyone looking for a vehicle. First, I will say that I fell in love with the 2008 Ford Taurus at the first place I went.However, their asking price was more than I was able to afford. But!!! When I came to Honda of Ames, Mr. Fox was so sincere and honest and not bad looking either! He was very patient with me and understood my my need and want and was able to help me get the best deal! I was over-joyed! He is someone I will continue to go to with my new car purchasing needs! He was phenomenal and put me and my children in something that made us very happy! What a great guy! Not many are like that, and he made my very first car buying experience the best ever!

Went in for oil change and new tires for 2011 cr-v and was approached by sales staff about qualifying for a new cr-v at same trim level for same payment. After discussing things, test driving, I drove away in my new 2013 model and things could not have gone more smoothly. I was pressed for time, they got everything covered within a couple of hours, including my test drive. This is the second new car I have purchased from this dealer and I have never felt overly pressured and have gotten very fair trade in allowances for my older vehicle. I would recommend them anytime!

I had high hopes that this Honda dealer would be ethical and fair. I was wrong. They tried the usual game of recommending changing the automatic transmission fluid flush at 30K, instead of the manufacturer's recommendation of 60K. They said that they knew better than the engineers which designed the car. They also stated that Honda recommended at 60K to minimize cost of maintenance on the car.They said that the original tires were substandard (Car was bought brand new) and for $800 dollars, they would replace them. The tires only had 31K miles on them. Either Honda is putting junk tires on new cars or the dealer is lying.

This was the first time we actually went to purchase a new car. We had narrowed our options down to three specific models and makes of cars. We went to Honda of Ames first because there were a couple of Accords that I had picked out as favorites. (Price, color, gas mileage, safety features, specific details).Jared came right out to meet us, answered the questions that we had, and took us for a test drive.When we went in to negotiate, Jared worked to get us the best deal possible.We wound up leasing the very Accord that I wanted. Jared got an increase on the lease miles and monthly payments.He called on three separate occasions to ask if we had any questions or concerns.We have now had the Accord for 3 weeks and I couldn't be more pleased with the car and our experience with the Jared.Not only would I purchase/lease another Honda, I would go back to Ames Honda to do it.
