Sold me a rotten car that was a lemon. Classic bait and hook. Told me couldn't drive on the interstate because of traffic. Masking rotor problems. When I got home I noticed the problems and he said not his problems. Dont go there!

Purchased a used Murano from this dealership, salesboy knew nothing about vehicle, said it just came in hadn't even logged it into inventory. Vehicle only came with one key. Sales boy and finance trainee (manager) both promised the 2nd key would be given to me once it was "found", after weeks of me the customer constantly contacting them I was told they were waiting for the old owner to bring the key in, finally months later the finance trainee stated just to go to Nissan closer to my home and they would pay for the key which was a $300 ikey and cutting of the key. Was lied to and told the dealership I had chosen had been called and given the info for payment and all I had to do was show up... why did I believe these people the Nissan of New Orleans knew nothing about this and low and behold the trainee or boy who was so welcoming, open and available during the purchase process went MIA when the dealership and myself tried to contact them they were always too busy. But mind you this all happened after I was constantly bringing the vehicle back for new tires, and an oil change that they had to do because the vehicle was new to the lot. It had never been inspected or serviced! But was sold to me. But they made sure to stick their sorry company logos on it! These people don't even deserve the one star I had to give! This was my first buying experience. I was only 20 at the time. Always heard how horrible sales people could be, just couldn't believe people could actually be that evil.

Today I brought my Honda CRV in for service at Honda of Covington. There was a warranty discrepancy but the manger Bobby Gallwey took care of it without question. The service rep, was very helpful and had the part changed immediately. The technician that changed the part noticed that I had a scratch in the paint , which I drove in with and did his best to to polish it out. He did not have to do that. I will continue to be a customer of Honda of Covington.

Honda of Covington is the place you don't want to go, I just got a used Honda Accord EX-L 2014 with only 14,000 miles, they promised me that they was going to fix a few minor things that are wrong with it, including touching up the bumper paint and reconnecting the back fin. It took two weeks to get it "fixed" but when I did get it back, they painted my front bumper a different color than the rest of my car, also never even touched the back spoiler to try to fix it, the only thing that is holding it on is sticky tack. That isn't even the beginning, then I found that while repainting my car, they somehow put a hole in my back bumper where a huge chunk of paint was missing. I thought Honda was professional until my experience, I don't want anybody else to have the same experience like what I'm going through! I have had the car for three weeks now and all Honda has done is ruined the car even more. I will NEVER buy a car from Honda of Covington again, and I suggest everyone else do the same!

Brought car n 4 pst collision inspec-wheels, brakes, alignment. Service said brakes 5mm, no alignment issues, wear and tear maintenance Week ltr lost control car. Found out brakes 2mm, Rear toe/camber out can't be repaired, extensive frame damage. I paid $130 and they didn't even look at my vehicle. Made up fake specs and unnecessary wear & tear repairs. Called to inquire and the same advisor claimed he lost my repose ticket and hung up on me. If you value you and your families life, stay far away.

I had already told the salesman that I didn't care for the seat material, which came in the bottom two models of the Pilot and were in my price range. Richard was very persistent and extremely pushy. When the sales process didn't go his way, Richard told me that I just didn't want a Honda Pilot. I finally told him that I preferred the Toyota seat material. He abruptly ended the conversation, shook my hand and angrily stormed away as he sarcastically said, "Go home and enjoy your new Toyota!" I'll NEVER go back to Honda of Covington or recommend this dealership to anyone!

I bought a new CRV in February of 2015. Got an OK price on the car, nothing special at all and went through the usual pushy car salesman quicktalk to get it done. Then at the closing the finance manager pushed the extended warranty on AutoButler package on us. My fault for getting it I should have known better. But 6 months later my wife totals the car, fortunately she wasn't hurt. Call up Honda of Covington, yes they will refund the extended warranty less $250 bucks. Wait a minute - the car only had 9000 miles and was still on primary warranty right? Oh but that's the process charge and usage charge. Then we move on the Autobutler - Oh but you bought the Pro Pack which includes the rear mat (that the salesman told us he would include for free) and the "Premium" front and rear mats that were so cheap we immediately bought some aftermarket upgrades. Hold up, the Autobutler is a service that is supposed to be applied every 6 months for 5 years - I won't be getting any of that right? So give me a refund on that? So the Honda rep says "Gee I'm sorry, we can't do that. But come by another car from me and I'll make sure you get it for free." What is he smoking?

I just picked up my new 2015 Honda CR-V, and I am in love! The vehicle far exceeds my expectation. This dealership needs to send EVERY ONE of their employees back to training. I have dealt with dealerships for over 9 vehicle purchases so far in my life and this is the absolute worst customer experience I have ever had! The sales team symbolizes "car salesman" to a "T". I felt bullied and rushed and felt forced to purchase the vehicle that THEY picked for me! They were not professional at all, they took me by surprise when they seemed to use this "Bully attack" and try to just take over and make decisions for me it seemed. I would recommend that ANYONE that goes to this dealership to turn your cell phone on record and video/audio your experience. Because what is said from one day to another is different and then they "team up" together against what you "think happened or heard". Never in my years have I had a dealership behave this way. I would hope that either HONDA Corp or the Owner of this location reads this and takes action to correct this immediately. When I spoke to "TONY-GM" to discuss my experience and concern, he just hung up on me after telling me that I was the liar. Again, I have NEVER had a dealership behave so unprofessional. My only words to describe this dealership is they are "Bullies" in the truest sense.

Business must be great! I've tried calling about a car that shows online as being in inventory, but based on other reviews I thought it best to call to make sure it was in fact there. Here I am 2 days later. Either no one answers at the dealership and I get a recording, or I ask for a salesperson, get transferred to their voicemail, leave a message and so far no returned call.The good news is another Honda dealer has what I was looking for, the person answering my call (on the first try) transferred me to a live salesperson who is getting it pulled up front for me to come see this evening.

WOW, what incredible service here. I walked in and expected to be hounded by hungry salesmen, but instead was greeted by welcoming faces. David Kenny was my salesman and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable of the vehicle and it's history, didn't pressure me at all, and even came in on his day off to meet with me! This guy was top notch all the way. I even showed up in a rental car (my vehicle was totalled by a drunk driver) and David not only informed me that my rental company had a location nearby but also followed me there so I could drop off my rental car and drive home in my Mustang! The vehicle (2012 Mustang) seems to be in great shape so far and was certainly in excellent physical condition. My only complaint about the experience was when it was time to purchase the vehicle, and this was in a separate department and I was no longer dealing with David. The finance guy kept pressuring me about getting the extended warranty and when I declined he asked me why, like wanting a specific answer. When I explained that while it was a good deal, I just really couldn't financially swing it (which can be embarrassing to admit) he still not only continued to pressure me but also tried to make me feel guilty by bringing my kid into it, something along the lines of "Well what if the air conditioner goes out? Do you want to drive your kid around like that? How's she gonna feel?" So that kinda sucked. But other than that, everything has been good so far and like I said: David was aces all around! I'd recommended Honda Of Covington, definitely.

I purchased a used Lexus from Honda of Covington on 11/18/2014. I was only looking for another car due to the fact that the engine blew in our Lincoln Navigator and could not be fixed, only repIaced, which I didn't want to do. I told them everything about the car we were trading, engine blew, dealership it was at, mileage, condition, everything. We were offered $500 for our car... whatever. We bought the Lexus and finished the deal. When we left the dealership after purchasing the vehicle, there was less than a 1/4 tank of gas after the salesman stated they would fill up the gas. I called on my way home with the car expressing my concern about the gas and the salesman stated they would fill it up when the car was returned for service. The was a minor ding on the rear of the vehicle that the salesman said they would buff out and chip in the windshield that they would have fixed. Well the windshield repairman came out and said that someone had already try to repair it and there was nothing he could do for it. When I brought the car to the dealership, I expressed to the salesman who had promised the windshield would be repaired, that it could not be repaired. He stated that unfortunately there was nothing they could do about it. The small ding was not completely buffed out either. While I was waiting for them to finish detailing the car, the salesman came to me and said that I owed an additional $120. This was for a diagnostic fee that the dealership, where my traded in car was located, charged. After I told him several times that I was not responsible for any fees associated with the car they took as a trade ($500 trade) he became very negative and told me, "So you're going to make me eat that charge? I was so aggravated leaving the dealership by them trying to squeeze me for another $120 after I had already paid the price they were asking for the used car and them giving me $500 for my trade in. Then to make matters worse, the gas was not filled up again. Fast forward to January. I have called the dealership several times to see if my license plate had arrived. 5 calls went to an answering machine in the middle of the day. Really....an answering machine? One morning I was told by the person that answered the phone that she was the person that handles the plates but she was working the register and I would have to call back. 3 times messages were left with humans without getting a returned call. So I finally get through to somebody on 2/3/15, 17 days after me temp plate had expired and she says, "We have your plate." Thanks for the call! This company has the worst customer service of any business, not just dealership, I have ever used. A lot of of promises that never came through. I would never recommend a friend to Honda of Covington.

I spent four hours trying to buy a used honda here, and left with nothing. Colin was extremely unprofessional and even dramatic when I decided the cost to finance a 10 year old car was too high. He offered me something newer, which I wanted, but it was late, cold, raining and my daughter was tired and hungry. He lost it when I told him it'd be better if I came back tomorrow to look at more cars. He turned around, threw the door open, stormed off and hung his head. It was really awkward and I left with a bad feeling. Most definitely won't be returning. I still want a Honda, but not at the cost of the time and stress that is this dealership. Haven't seen anything like that at other dealerships.

I spent hours on the phone negotiating a price and agreeing upon financing options, etc. I made it very clear I wanted the vehicle and would be in the following day with the down payment and to sign all paperwork, the salesman had prepared it for me in advance. I allowed the dealership to run my credit for approval in advance. I called at 11am and was told they were negotiation a sale of the car with a different customer so I immediately headed to the dealership to sign the papers. When I arrived I was told that because my paperwork was prepared and financing was already approved that we were ahead of the other customer. Signed all paperwork and Cole left to take the papers to finance, he returned moments later and told me the car was sold. This is the most absurd dealership/sales team I have ever dealt with in my life. I will NEVER do business with this company or any other company associated with them. Honda Powersports also lost our business over the way this was handled. Will definitely be spreading the word about business practices here!!!!!

Here's a little bit about my experience at Honda of Covington. I am a woman in my 60's buying a car on my own for the first time. This car purchase was for my husband. He didn't want the hassle nor had the time to do it himself. I did my homework and as a result I had a price I wanted to pay for a Honda Accord EXL-V6 no Nav. Strangely, I wasn't nervous but rather confident when it came time to negotiate a price. I attribute this to Paul's reassurance that he could get me in a car in my price range. He did just that. The next day my husband, son and I went to pick up the car. I noticed a tiny scratch, some minuscule swirls on the hood of the car and a seat was a little dirty. I was disappointed. Paul asked me what I wanted to do. I told Paul, "I paid for a new car, I want a new car." Paul understood my displeasure and called the managers, Tony and Bobby. Bobby said they would find me another car. Within minutes they had another car on the way, but I decided I wanted a different color because I became concerned about the light colored seats. They found me another car in a color I wanted. However, I changed the game plan. This time I wanted to upgrade to a Honda Accord EXL-V6 with a Navigator. I was pleasantly surprised how accommodating, cooperative, and nice Paul, Tony and Bobby remained throughout this replacement process. I strongly recommend you buy your next car from HONDA OF COVINGTON. The managers were terrific and remember to ask for Paul Erceg, he is a wonderful product specialist and person.

We didn't know exactly the model we were going to choose since this vehicle trade/purchase was for a 3rd vehicle for our home, and we had to work through the process of finding the best value for our trade and deciding the specific vehicle we were going to buy (based on both usefulness to us and incentives/price). Anyway, Honda of Covington (by far) excelled at both. Mr. Kenney was outstanding in every way - "David" did everything he could do to help us, and we are not the easiest of customers, because a new car is a lot of money for us, and we try to do everything possible not to make a mistake. The other dealership in our area had (trained) sales staff that didn't know whether their own brand of car had a timing belt or a timing chain (important for our purchase), but the information we got at this dealership was consistent and accurate. If you live on the North Shore, you don't really have any other choice than to purchase from Honda of Covington (and that is a good thing). On a site note, also keep in mind some dealerships use this site as a "recruiting tool" for sales - if it has an unusual amount of 5 star ratings, believe it at your peril.

After talking to Ryan at Honda of Covington for over a two month period we came to a price on a 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L. I talked to Ryan beginning 3 days before the flex cash deals ran out and stayed in touch several times during the following months. I made several cash offers over the phone for a new 2014 EX-L each time my offer was rejected. Honda of Covington seemed like they wanted to work with me but didn't until I called Ryan and told him I found a price in Baton Rouge that I was comfortable with---I had promised him I would call before I would buy. Well I told him the dealership, model and price (2014 EX-L with pro pack and OTD price) Ryan called me back and beat the price by $300. I told Ryan I wasn't going to buy from him for that because it was 90 miles one way to H of Cov. and I was getting free oil changes for a certain period from the BR dealership approximately 45 minutes from my home. Ryan checked with manager again and came back with price $650 cheaper. 1) Ryan new I was paying cash 2) Ryan new that I was going to only write the check for amount he quoted (talked about it at length several times) 3) I told Ryan at 9:30 am it was a deal and I would be there between 12:30 and 1 pm to get van ready. Well I was 10 minutes late due to taking wrong exit. Upon arriving I asked Ryan to look at van, it was still on the yard not ready. When he opened trunk my wife and I noticed grease and mustard looking stains ( not real bad but noticeable) on rear speakers and seat. I asked him to pop the hood....the engine compartment was very dirty??? I asked Ryan how many miles was on the van and he said around 5000K. Guess what, no other van on lot in the color we wanted. I told him the van was used and we wanted a new one or a better price on the used one. We went back inside and he spoke to the manger and said they could get me a new one but it would be SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE. Needless to say that was the end of our conversation. I don't play games. We had a deal and they lied. I drove appr. 180 miles round trip had to buy lunch out and wasted 6 hours of my Saturday (getting ready, driving, then wasted gas). They new exactly where I stood and they intentionally lied to me. I would never recommend Honda of Covington to anyone. The price was right but the commodity was wrong.

Best customer service, excellent dealership!!! Got best trade in value for my 2009 Honda Pilot better trade in value than any other dealership was willing to offer me by far. The general sales manager was nice enough to come and speak with me during the negotiations, he gave me a great price that was what I needed, it made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire buying process especially being a woman who has had bad experiences in the past. The whole process at Honda of Covington was pain free and easy going, and stress free. The salesman was very funny he kept me entertained while teaching me the features of the new 2014 Honda Pilot, which I was purchasing. While my car was being detailed he was nice enough to take me to the service department to introduce me to the service manager who would be caring for my new vehicle throughout future oil changes and services. This was the perfect car buying experience I couldnt have asked for more!!

i bought a civic si they said it would be delivered in 4 days, when i came to pick it up they said the car i bought was worth to much, it had accerories they were unaware of, so instead they said they ordered me another car and said they couldnt sell me the car i wanted, i was told my car would be delivered in 8 days, 8 days had gone by and they said they still havent received it and do not know when they will..they also low balled me on my trade it, giving me only 6500, upon looking it up, my cars trade in was a minimum of 7500, most crooked dealearship ever, do not believe the other reviews on here they were obviously made by the dealership themself

Watch out for quotes sent by email. I got a quote that was quite low initially. And, when I asked for details, the quote mysteriously increased - within the scope of a few hours. When I was finally able to talk to the salesperson on the phone a week later, it increased again, with lots of gobbledygook about "time limited" quotes, accusations of comparing dealers, (well, duh, who doesn't?), and trying to tell me to come in after a later date (which is conveniently when the special financing incentive would be expired - I knew that, but of course, he didn't tell me that). I had purchased a car from here on behalf of my work several years ago and did not have this type of problem at all. As a matter of fact, at that time, the process was rather easy and hassle free. Not sure what changed, but needless to say, the car we purchased today is not a Honda.

We found a used Toyota Highlander online at the Covington, La. Dealership. We called and talked to the salesman. He started out with lies and ended up with lies. I would not ever go back to this dealer or would I ever advise anyone to go there. They have very deceptive practices!If you want to know what they did you can contact me at ra17563422athotmail.com and my name is Steven. I really don't like being told lies from the very start and then for the salesman to continue to lie when we arrived at the dealership. We drove over 80 miles to get there because we thought a Honda dealership would at least be honorable. They are not and in fact when the salesman was caught in his lies he told us he was told to do it that way. Stay away from Honda unless they clean up their act!

We recently made the trip from Baton Rouge to Honda of Covington looking to purchase a 2014 Accord Sport. Our sales associate Daniel Green was the first person and last person we talked to and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. Daniel took the time to tell us about each trim without pressuring us to purchase. He was very knowledgeable of the models, the safety features, trim lines as well as the technology within each vehicle. By the time we got to the desk, we already knew that we were going to be treated the right way. Not only did we leave with a great deal on the car we wanted, but we legitimately enjoyed working with Daniel and would strongly recommend anyone interested in buying a Honda to request his service. The sales team at Honda of Covington worked with me to finance me for a newer vehicle. I traded in a 2007 Dodge Ram and got 2010 Honda Pilot. I got a good warranty, good price, and a newer vehicle. Oh yeah, I had horrible credit and they worked with me to get me financed. The first visit I didn't purchase a vehicle but they kept working on the numbers and kept me informed as to what was going on. Mr. Randy is a great guy, a straight shooter who will go the extra mile to get you financed. I called other dealerships but they didn't think my business was important enough to call me back. The staff here called me and emailed me which made me feel they wanted to make a deal to get me in a newer vehicle. Overall, my experience was great. Go and see them and let them work for you like they did for me. Ask for Mr. Randy, you won't be leaving the dealership without a new vehicle.

Beware! These guys advertise a fair price and the load you down with fees. When I asked the sales manager Godfrey Peters about it he basically responded with "Hey dude this is Honda people love us, you don't like it that's your problem". We couldn't find the pre-owned car we wanted in our state, but we did find it at Honda of Covington. Collin Morris was great to work with. He communicated everything we needed to know over the phone so our two hour drive ended in a very satisfactory purchase. The car was exactly as it was advertised and we will definitely call Collin again when we are looking for a new or used Honda. Since we made the drive after work, the fact that they were open late made it possible for us to complete the test drive and complete the sale in one evening. Brad Aubert worked out the financial end of things and was very easy to work with. Both Collin and Brad were extremely professional and personable and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or pre-owned Honda. Our experience made it well worth the drive.

I purchased a used 2007 Honda Fit Sport last year from David Kenney at Honda of Covington and have not been happy with the purchase. I made some mistakes. I took the car to get it checked by a mechanic after purchasing the car. I should have had this done before buying it. I also negotiated a price with them over the phone before even seeing the vehicle. I don't like haggling over prices, so was anxious to get that part out of the way. What I fault the dealership for is not being honest about the condition of the car. When we came to buy it and took it for a test drive it was dusk and I trusted David Kenney to tell me anything I needed to know about the condition of the car. After taking it to a mechanic, I found that a large area of the car had been repainted, even though I had been assured the car had never been in an accident, and the paint job was of very poor quality. The front bumper was lower than it should be and doesn't fit smoothly against the car. Three of the four tires were near bald. The latch to put the back seat down was broken. He didn't mention any of this to me.I complained about the tires and they gave me $100 off a $500 bill to replace the 3 bald ones. They had nothing to say about the paint job, and said they would not repair the latch. Basically, the car was in the condition it was in when I bought it and there was very little they were willing to do to compensate me. A year later there are many chips in the paint job because it was of such poor quality. The bumper scrapes against the road when I'm going down out of parking lots because it is low, but so far so good thank goodness - it has stayed on the car. I still can't put the back seat down. Overall, it was a very bad experience. Granted, I should have asked more questions and taken a closer look at the car, but I don't take all the blame. David Kenney should have been upfront with me about the paint job, for sure, and it would have been nice if he had told be about the condition of the tires and the bumper and that the back seat latch was broken. I feel he valued profit over honesty. I would not recommend buying a used car from Honda of Covington.

If I never see Honda of Covington again, it would be too soon! Horrible experience and it wasn't just me. It seemed like customers everywhere were getting the runaround. Our salesman was horrible- no personality, no professionalism! He hardly communicated with us to let is know what was going on with our deal! He just sat us in a little refrigerator and tried to appease us with the remote to the tv. We went in with our own financing but he told us that he could get us a better deal. Four hours and no communication later... Same deal. ( It actually might have been worse.) when we finally get into to see the finance, he sort of salvaged the day by being helpful, but overall I would never come back and would certainly never refer anyone to this hellhole. We even traveled two hours to get here. Eight hours of mine and my kids' life that I will never be able to get back! I have purchased two cars with Moss Honda in Lafayette and have never been disappointed. If I lived in Covington, I would drive to Lafayette to purchase my Hondas!

I was given an "out the door" internet quote. Called the salesman before making the 1.5 hour drive to confirm quote. When i got there he was "out" (he did say he may be out when i got there, and that he has someone there to take over for him) . WELL? they would not honor the internet quote !!!!! They even had a copy of the quote on their computer !!!! Maybe thats how they treat their naive female buyers ? Anyways I bought my Pilot at another dealership !

Asked for pricing breakdown and it seems impossible to get!This dealer adds much to the bottom line and simply justifies it with lines like "we always do that" or "the manufacturer provides it this way"When pressed for detail on the following issues we get no response! I shutter to think what kind of leadership this place has if their sales staff can't explain what you are paying for!1. $995.00 in accessories added to the MSRP. They can't tell me what the accessories are! There response was: at a "minimum" it will include Wheel Locks,Trunk Tray , All Season Mats and Auto Butler. They don't explain what this stuff is and they say that all cars come with it - you must buy it - What a scam!!! - I got out the door pricing from a dealer in California and there were no accessory charges! So since the dealer would not provide a detailed cost break down of the accessories I looked up retail pricing (of corse you can buy the stuff for less than retail from another dealer!) - the min estimate of the actual parts added up to about $395 - that leaves $600 for the auto butler. They did not explain what this was - but google and you tube show it as a glorified car wash system that the dealer must have purchased. I could not find the written terms - but one video explained it as a car wash and interior cleaning every 6 months for five years. I don't like the idea of pre paying and financing CAR WASHES!!! What if they are not that good?2. "Government Fee" $127.00. - They can't tell me what this fee is for nor what government it is being paid to: Federal?, State?, Local?. And for what?? At face value a fee on an auto sale that can be specified seems like an outright scam. Have to pursue this one further - I know the cell phone co has lines on your bill about government fees, that are in fact sur charges the company keeps - but I have never seen this kind of unexplainable miscellaneous government fee - can't help but wonder if it is legal.3. MSRP descrepency. Web Site lists MSRP for the car we wanted and Honda of Covington shows MSRP as $300 more. Again they do not respond as to why the descrepency.... Perhaps another effort to raise their margin??I have bought many cars and often go out of state to deal with people who are more straightforward. I think they are about 2k high on price on a 41k car as well which I might be a little flexible on - but I am not flexible on dealing with stereotypical car sales tactics which seem to be deceptive, or misleading because they are not explained in a logical fashion - and of the type that you can avoid by moving on to the next dealer who doesn't explain every item you don't want as "they all come with that" or "all our deals have that fee" or my favorite just not responding at all.BUYER BEWARE of this dealers sales tactics.

The staff here were more than helpful. Actually gave me a better interest rate than I showed up with. Drove 300 miles from Arkansas and was well pleased. The prices were much lower than anyone in 300 mile radius. David Kenney II, Rogers Serpas, Colin Morris and manager Godfrey Peters were total professionals and still had a personal touch. I will make the long journey back in the future for more purchases.

I tried to negotiate the price online and the internet manager got upset! He told me "quit pulling my leg...". Interestingly, this same guy wrote to me the last day of the month that they would beat anyone else's price in the state!

Received a good internet quote, but even better price after sitting down with salesman. Dealer didn't have desired color in stock, but car was available in 48 hours and financial dept. got me a great interest rate.

We had a very poor experience with this dealership. They initially declined our offer, then called us back the next day and stated they would work with our offer. We made a second trip to this dealership specifically to buy our car. After arriving (with our infant who we had no choice but to bring with us again) we were told they would not negotiate their earlier stated price. When confronted with what we were told that day on the telephone, the manager conveyed that anything could be said to get a customer in the door, the fact that it wasn't true didn't matter. The two employees we worked with tried high pressure sales techniques. Overall, it is not the type of place we do business with, and did not and will not ever buy from this dealership.
